Went to Peru first two weeks in May, from start to finish everything was well planned and organised, the tour guides were very knowledgeable and great company. We were in groups of 8, mini buses were comfortable. All hotels were of good quality and in excellent positions. Staff at the London office were always helpful when I had any queries. Would recommend and book with Llama travel again. We had a fantastic time. 10/10

Peru with Llama travel.

so delighted with our two week holiday in Peru organised by Llama Travel. Everything went perfectly and their co-agents, Condor Travel were superb. They were there to meet us at the airport and conduct us to our hotel. On internal flights we were escorted to the airport and checked-in each time. The hotels were of excellent quality; comfortable, well situated and welcoming. Peru itself was brilliant. We had a brilliant time and Llama travel were fantastic throughout, putting together a superb itinerary including a three night beach-side extension at Mancora. Their organisation and communication skills were first rate. Can’t recommend then highly enough.

17 day trip to Peru was fantastic…

17 day trip to Peru was fantastic thanks to Llama Travel and Condor Travel whilst in South America. If Carlsberg ever produced a trip then this was it. The tour guides were excellent especially all who helped and assisted us on the 4 day Inca Trail. Would certainly recommend Llama Travel and their counterparts in Peru Condor Travel.

Travel, hotels and guides all excellent on our Patagonia trip.

We enjoyed the freedom to vary one's itinerary and the consequent variety of fellow travellers who were there for all or part of our trip. We were met without fail at every airport by local guides whose knowledge of the history, politics, geography, flora and fauna of Chile and Argentina was exemplary. We would certainly use Llama for future trips to South America having used an equally good but more expensive specialist company on a previous trip to Peru. Our only complaint was that we'd have liked more time to enjoy the beautiful scenery in both the Chilean and Argentinean Lake District.

Llama Travel tailored their Peru tour…

Llama Travel tailored their Peru tour to accommodate our plans. They were amazing to deal with, and nothing was a problem for them. The flights they arranged were all at decent times and well organised within the tour and the hotels all were well located and of high standard.. However we did not get to go as the pandemic struck and borders closed a week before our departure. During this fiasco, Llama Travel kept us informed and communicated options. We opted for a refund of our trip and have received a full refund of the total payment made. I wish the other tour operators that we are dealing with in South America could have the integrity and the very high standards of Llama Travel.

Our first time booking with Llama…

Our first time booking with Llama Travel and they were excellent. We went on a family holiday to Peru with our teenage girls, 17 & 15 - perfect trip for them. Everything was really well-organised, Otto and Gary were really helpful in booking the holiday and answering all our questions in the lead-up to going. The hosts on the ground were very welcoming and helpful. The tour guides in the jungle and at Sacred Valley really went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable trip. It felt like we were visiting good friends who were showing us around where they lived and giving us insight into their lives, rather then being shown around by tour guides. Their care, attentiveness, enthusiasm and affability were exceptional. Our daughter had an ankle injury 2 days before we travelled and we arrived in the jungle to find our accommodation had been upgraded to make things easier for her - so incredibly thoughtful and made all the difference. We will definitely book with them again.

there is no praise too high for Llama Travel

My wife and I travelled recently to Peru on a trip organised by Llama Travel. We absolutely cannot praise Llama highly enough. The itinerary was fabulous and everything went like clockwork - all the guides and reps were excellent.

Llama Travel Cape Town and the Garden…

Llama Travel Cape Town and the Garden Route plus Victoria Falls. Trip was in January/February 2024 Unable to fault Llama on the level of service and attention when we booked this holiday. Did not have any problems with the hotels, guides, or drivers. Llama offer an upgrade package for the hotels on this trip, in my opinion it is not worth doing, we were 9 couples and one couple did take the upgrade and missed out on a lot of socialising, the hotels on the basic package met all of our needs and we would happily stay in any of them again. Suggest that you do not take the flight that gets into Cape Town very early in the morning, I think it came in about 4AM. The first hotel which is the Sun Square City Bowl does not allow check in until 4PM, some of our group had to wait about 10 hours to get into there room. Since Llama published the details of the holiday Zimbabwe has increased the cost of the visa for entry from $50 to $55 per person. It was not difficult to get the visa at the airport just time consuming.

Wonderful service and great value

I travelled alone on to Peru with Llama Travel visiting the jungle, Cusco and Lake Titicaca. The service was amazing guides were very knowledgeable and friendly and the transport and hotels were all excellent. Everything was well organised and although I was on my own I always felt safe and included within the group I travelled with. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone thinking about travelling to South America.

Amazing Service, Amazing Holiday

Just back from our amazing trip to Costa Rica and from the moment of booking to arriving home Llama Travel has been exceptional. In the lead up to our holiday any questions or queries were met with quick and informative replies that made travelling with pandemic restrictions as painless as possible. Upon arriving in Costa Rica every guide and driver we had were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They were all knowledgeable and excited to show us their beautiful country, always going the extra mile to make the trip that bit more special. I cannot recommend Llama Travel highly enough, thanks to them we'll have memories for life. We had a wonderful time in Costa Rica. All the arrangements worked like clockwork. We added on both extensions offered at the end of the basic tour, which were both very enjoyable. We will definitely use Llama travel again.

Ecuador and the Galápagos

It was our first holiday with Llama Travel and I can't praise them enough. From pick up at the airport to return to airport the service was amazing. Our guide In Ecuador was very knowledgeable, kind and considerate, the transport was first class and very comfortable. For the Galápagos cruise we were on the La Pinta where once again the staff, guides and accomadation were fantastic. The cabins are very roomy with comfortable bed, plenty of hot water for the shower and excellent food. At the end of our eight day cruise we then stayed for three nights at the Finch Bay hotel on Santa Cruz, where we chilled out by the pool...perfect! This holiday exceeded our expectations and would recommend it to anyone. We will have no hesitation in using Llama Travel again.

Highlights of Chile and Argentina

At the beginning of December 2019 my friend Heather and I returned from an amazing 2 week trip to Chile and Argentina incorporating the capitals and patagonian regions of both countries. It was such an easy and fantastic trip from beginning to end. The guides from condor travel were all so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with tips of what to do with free days and offering their knowledge of local atrractions on excursion days. I have experienced tours with other companies and this was by far the best that i have experienced. I will definitely book another tour with llama in the future. A Role Model for Customer Service

A Role Model for Customer Service We had booked the holiday of a lifetime - to the Okavango Delta and Zimbabwe - and had paid a deposit of £2000. When Llama Travel took the decision to cancel the holiday, they immediately refunded the amount paid. There was no quibble, no hassle, no pressure to rebook for next year, no offer of vouchers. I would like to commend Llama Travel for their fair and professional response in this difficult situation.

Exemplary handling of holiday cancellation due to the pandemic

We were due to take an extended trip to Mexico and Peru from the middle of April. This of course did not happen. From the beginning of it looking unlikely that the trip would take place Llama Travel were in contact and we were able to speak to them or email about the possible options. After much consideration and for many reasons we decided to take a refund rather than wait to re-book. We appreciated that this was quite an undertaking for the company and we are extremely grateful for the honourable way in which the company acted. They refunded us quickly and efficiently. We have found everyone at Llama Travel supremely friendly and professional. We are sad not to be in Mexico now but without doubt we will be using Llama Travel to book the holiday again in the future.

Marvellous Mexico

Had a fantastic holiday in Mexico arranged by Llama Travel. We stayed in Mexico City, Oaxaca, San Cristobal, Palenque, Merida and Riviera del Maya. Everything was well organised and efficient including the transfers and organised trips. The local guides were excellent, being both friendly and knowledgeable. Hotels were very good and well located. We had a brilliant experience of many different areas of Mexico, the history, flora and fauna as well as lots of inside information from the guides. Prior to the holiday we were well supported by staff in terms of travelling and the COVID restrictions. I would recommend Llama Travel to everyone.

Peru: Incas,Convents and Conquistadors,Lake Titicaca and Pacific Coast.

An excellent holiday.We would recommend Llama Travel to anyone going on holiday to South or Latin America.We were able to choose the elements we wanted,choose our flights(in our case KLM from our local airport Leeds Bradford via Amsterdam( Schiphol) avoiding travelling to Heathrow) and in small groups throughout the holiday. Condor travel, the Peruvian company supporting Llama, were very efficient.All of the luggage arrived on time and there were no problems.The guides on the tours and transfers were pleasant,helpful and well -informed with impressive language skills. We had no complaints about any of the hotels.We upgraded only once but all of the hotels were of a very good standard. The memories of Peru,the wonderful landscape,and warmth of the people will remain with us for ever. If you are thinking of going to Peru go for it.You won't regret it. Llama will help you organise the holiday you want.

A truly memorable experience.

We recently returned from a memorable trip to South America and would have no hesitation in recommending Llama Travel to anyone. We were able to discuss our itinerary beforehand and the company was more than willing to make changes to suit our needs - nothing was too much trouble. The trip lasting nearly three weeks went very smoothly - all transfers went without a hitch with someone to help us at every airport (we had 6 fights in total) and all the guides on each excursion were both knowledgeable and friendly, and the hotels were excellent. Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, the Iguacu Falls and finally Rio de Janeiro all have special memories thanks to Llama Travel

Thank you for making us feel like VIPs

The whole experience from start to finish was first class. Yes there was a hiccup with one of our tours being cancelled, but the upgraded substitute that was offered to us was top drawer. We were made to feel like VIPs throughout the holiday. The accommodation in the Galápagos Islands - the Galápagos Suites - was about the best accommodation I have ever stayed in, in terms of value, cleanliness and customer service. Equally the excursions in Ecuador went like clockwork. The most irksome thing has been trying to post this review - I am now trying for a fifth time to post it. I would not hesitate to recommend Llama Travel, and nor would I hesitate to use them again!

Llama travel had everything covered!!!!

Just got back from the extended Botswana mobile safari taking in Cape town and Zimbabwe. From the minute we arrived at Manchester airport, absolutely everything was sorted out for us by llama. We didn't have to do anything ourselves and everything ran so smoothly with absolutely no stress which meant we could relax and enjoy our trip. I can't recommend llama travel enough for the experience we had. We will definitely be booking with them again

Travelled to Equador and Galapagos…

Travelled to Equador and Galapagos Islands with Llama Travel in May. The holiday itself was absolutely the best trip of a lifetime and not only lived up to expectations but exceeded it. Llama themselves were so easy to deal with and all parts of the trip ran extremely smoothly. We were able to alter the itinerary easily and all staff gave great advice re choices and experiences to have. We've already looked at booking with them again next year for Costa Rica, can't praise them enough!

2 excellent experiences.

Booked with Llama Travel twice - first time to Puru and, more recently Ecuador and the Galapagos islands. Both good value and well organised with great reps and tour guides while there. Llama will do their best to organise exactly what you want from the holiday outside the parameters of their brochure, you just need to ask the question (that makes us sound quite demanding-it was just a tweak-but they're clearly used to adjusting schedules where they can). Would definitely use them again.

Chile, natural wonders.

Brilliant. Tour guides were well informed and had valuable opinions on life in Chile as well as other world events. Some interesting conversations about the US election!! All hotels were good quality and, as a solo traveller, I had very spacious and well appointed rooms. Needless to say the landscapes were stunning and on an immense scale. I visited Patagonia, the Atacama desert and Easter Island, 3 very different areas and all worthy of future visits. Llama Travel's staff are excellent, everything went as planned and nothing was too much trouble.

Peru Ecuador and the Galapagos

Just returned from Peru and Ecuador finishing in the Galapagos. From getting on the plane at Heathrow to returning 3 week and 10 flights later, the whole trip ran like clockwork. Felt like VIPs, transfers and transports fantastic. Condor guides in Peru were amazing, so passionate and knowledgeable Miguel in Lima, Gladys in Cusco, Yashira in Sacred Valley Patricia in Arequipa and Colca Canyon but especially Jo in Moray, Misminay and Machu Picchu. The same with Llama partners in Ecuador and finally fabulous Galapagos. 10 out of 10 for everything, thank you Llama Travel you made it, not only a trip of a lifetime but a memorable one. Well done

We had a fantastic tour of Peru. Every part was very well organised and the guides and drivers were friendly,helpful and informative. We enjoyed our tours in the Amazon rainforest, around the towns and cities,up to Machu Picchu, across the Andes to lake Titicaca and on to Colca Canyon. All the views were amazing as was the sight of 10 Condors flying above us and into the canyon. Every part of this holiday was wonderful and I reccomended it to all my friends on our return.

A Passage Through Mexico

My trip to Mexico was simply amazing. Had a minor hiccup early on as my baggage didn’t arrive on air Canada flight, so I was stressed but Luca and his team in Mexico were constantly in touch to help me. All thanks to Luca and Kathya, got my luggage back in time. After that, it was just flawless trip, amazing locations. Especially sumidero canyon, palenque, yaxilan temples. Knowledgeable guides, and on time service. Seeing Mayan sites was a dream come true. A memorable trip indeed. Defo plan to visit South America again with Llama. Thank you!!

Peruvian Adventure!

Llama Travel organised our 3 week Peruvian adventure and we were impressed by the amount of detail they went into to ensure it was a holiday to remember. Life enhancing trip to Costa Rica with Llama travel

Everything went perfectly,and our guide Alex had great knowledge particularly of birds,which he magnified for us on his scope.His English was excellent, Costa Rica is not a cheap country for us and the American dollar is strong,which means that many tourists are Americans with greater spending power than us!! The "ticos" were very friendly and yet there was no hard selling at all. Manuel Antonio was the icing on the cake and we stayed for eight nights! A wonderful country and thank you Llama for your excellent organisation of the trip.It is truly memorable.

Just returned from Angkor Wat and…

Just returned from Angkor Wat and Vietnam North & South. We had a fabulous holiday, from contacting Llama Travel to departure, everything was well organised (hats off to Otto at Llama who helped accommodate us with flights to Singapore, since we wanted to visit there outside of our holiday itinerary). He was professional and prompt, and made making the arrangements easy and pleasant. The whole trip was excellent, a good balance of places to visit, without spending too much time in any one place. The local tour guides were all superb, and made our trips stress free and very enjoyable. All the hotels were very good (some being excellent). We particularly like Llama's use of small group tours: we began with a group of 6, which eventually maxed out at 10 people. The advantage is that you get to know people well, and the tours feel much more intimate. Overall we loved Cambodia and Vietnam, especially the people, who are very friendly and accommodating. We highly rate this trip and, having been with Llama before, we will be booking with them in future.

Top quality service for Peru and will use again

We had been recommended Llama Travel by a Headteacher colleague who said their care and attention was second to none. Having booked a Peru trip pre-Covid the company moved on our booking, answered any queries and gave great advice to help us decide when best to go. We had such an amazing time in visiting two bucket-list locations of Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca and having high quality guides throughout. All hotels, transfers, flights and entrance tickets were handled for us and we will definitely be using Llama Travel for future trips.

What a great tour to Jordan. The groups were kept small by using 2 mini busses to transport us, the guides and company that act as agents in Jordan were great and the itinery was day after day of " wow factor" sights and experiences. We had been told about Llama by fellow guests on other tours with different companies, and this was our first time with them. It cetainly wont be our last. Thay have been excellent from the time of our initial enquiry.

Peru including Macchu Picchu

Went on the Peru tour including Machu Picchu Trek , rain forest stay, Lake Titicaca and everything we could fit in within our time. Could not recommend the whole experience enough from booking and information to the organisation there. Hotels fantastic, guides in every place couldn’t have been better. We were 2 1/2 weeks away and could not fault anyone or anything What a fantastic trip and great company you. I went at the end of last year but didn’t get round to my review, was reminded by your new brochure, am looking through it now.

Our first experience with Llama travel…Costa Rica was fab

Our first experience with Llama travel was superb. Everything went smoothly excellent staff on the ground in Costa Rica. Great hotels were selected as part of trip . Even the comfort stops were well chosen and the drivers happy to spot and stop for sloths etc. We had a super time with lots of wildlife spotted and a reasonable amount of down time given we had chosen to do 4 locations in two weeks. The group was 18 in total but often split in to two for wildlife walks so even though we r used to travelling under our own steam it was fine and met some nice people too.

Aborted holiday, but great help from Llama Travel

We arranged a visit to Guatemala and Costa Rica for March 2020. However just before we were due to travel, the Coronavirus started to take effect, and we looked at adjusting our travel arrangements - not via Madrid. Llama Travel were very helpful at keeping us informed and making changes when asked, but ultimately, fate caught up with us and travel was not allowed. We are grateful now that we did not travel. Llama Travel kept us informed all the time and we are very grateful for the help and concern, and plan to eventually travel, and resume out holiday of choice, when we are able.

Cannot speak more highly of Llama travel. Their open and honest communication about the recent cancellation of my holiday was fantastic. They kept us in the loop from the beginning. We received our refund in full unlike our flight providers who are still holding on to funds and quoting up to another 3 months before giving partial refunds. Excellent service from Llama Travel

First trip to South America and made the right choice by booking the trip with Llama Travel. The Incas & Conquistador tour was the perfect introduction to Peru. The chance to group some excursions together to save a bit was a good idea. Good choice of hotels in the different cities. Well worth upgrading to the higher class ones. Brilliant, informative guides brought the trips to life. We were lucky to have our time in Cusco coincide with the annual festival time. This put the icing on the cake but the trip still had many highlights on top of that. Thank you Llama Travel for an unforgettable experience in Peru. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic company

We had booked with Llama Travel for a tour of the Galapagos, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia but due to the coronavirus the trip was cancelled. Unlike so many other travel firms, Llama offered us our money back straight away, which it paid out of it’s own reserves. We had booked a previous South American trip through Llama, which was excellent. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. We had no qualms about booking with them again. When the crisis passes and we book a South American holiday again, we will go straight to Llama Travel and wouldn’t even bother looking at anyone else.

SOUTH AMERICA IN THE TIME OF COVID 19

I can't recall a booking with a travel agent to touch Llama. In the past I have often made my own arrangements but as I have advanced in years and was travelling with my disabled daughter I decided to go to South America with an agent. The booking staff were amazing. They customised for myself and my daughter's requirements and wishes. The accommodation, transfers and trips were all great. We regrettably had to return early due to borders closing with Covid 19 but they got us back swiftly without undue hassle. They also swiftly refunded the untaken parts of the holiday. We will continue our travels with Llama when we can. Just don't tell too many people how wonderful they are please!

Fantastic costa Rica

This was my first holiday with Llama Travel, but it will certainly not be my last. From our very first contact through to the end of the trip everything by Llama Travel was so well organised annd nothing was too much trouble. Our guides (Xenia & Tony) in Costa Rica were excellent and very well informed. Costa Rica is a beautiful country with amazing wildlife and spectacular scenery. Although the sloths are wonderful, the highlight had to be seeing a pair of quetzals which are extremely hard to find. Thank you, Llama Travel for a truly wonderful experience.

Excellent trip to Costa Rica

I cannot fault Llama Travel or your guides you use (via Swiss Travel) for this holiday. They were always there when they should have been, very informative and helpful. Costa Rica is an amazing place with wonderful beaches, an abundance of wildlife and the accommodation was brilliant. I booked with Llama Travel to visit the Galapagos and Amazon last year. I was so impressed I booked another holiday with them this year! Accommodation is of a high standard throughout, guides are great and everyone arrives when they should. As a lone traveller you sometimes get the dreaded 'single' room , which tends to be a poor version of a double. With Llama I've had double rooms on every occasion. I'm happy to recommend and I look forward to booking with them again.

Peru including Inca Trail

Just returned from an excellent holiday in Peru. Llama Travel and their Peruvian Partners, Condor Travel have been excellent from start to finish. The choice of holidays is very good and value for money. We chose Incas and Conquistadors combined with Sacred Valley, Inca Trail and Condors and Convents. The hotels were good, transfers punctual and friendly, tour guides extremely professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Llama Travel.

Incas, Conquistadors and Lake Titicaca

Peru is a beautiful destination with world class sights like Cusco, Machu Picchu and the Uros Islands. If the sights and colours don't leave you breathless, the atmosphere (or lack of it in the mountains) certainly will! This was a well organised holiday with highly capable tour guides. There was plenty of time to explore and follow your own interests. Cusco in particular was a fantastic city to look around and even after a week there we were finding new experiences to enjoy. The food everywhere was varied and excellent, try the fish! Take it easy for the first day or two when you first arrive at high altitude. I was OK but my 15yr old son suffered from headaches for the first two days.

Best of Guatemala

We have recently travelled to Guatemala on a trip organised by Llama Travel. Our experience of this company has been five star throughout. The guides in Guatemala were first class, the tour and accomodation well though out - a very enjoyable experience. The group size was small - 10 in all - which was ideal. A number of people on the trip had travelled with Llama Travel before and had found them to be excellent each time, so clearly this was not a 'one off'. I would not hesitate to recomend this company to anyone planning a visit to South or Central America.

Excellent Service from Llama Travel

When we embarked upon our tour of South America with Llama Travel we were excited and looking forward to seeing all the highlights of Chile, Argentina and Brazil. The first week of the holiday was excellent, stunning scenery, interesting and informative guides and excellent excursions; however we needed to curtail our trip due to the spread of Covid 19. You can always tell the true quality of a firm by the way they act in a crisis. An absolutely wonderful holiday

An absolutely wonderful holiday. Llama Travel (Condor Travel in Peru) could not have done more for us including when we had a really early start (5am) to go to the airport the rep took us in a taxi, came into th3 airport and #howed us where to check in and then came with us to the security gate to make sure we did not get lost, we had this treatment everywhere we went.

We were in groups of 8, mini buses were comfortable. All hotels were of good quality and in excellent positions. Staff at the London office were always helpful when I had any queries. Peru with Llama travel.

so delighted with our two week holiday in Peru organised by Llama Travel. Everything went perfectly and their co-agents, Condor Travel were superb. They were there to meet us at the airport and conduct us to our hotel. On internal flights we were escorted to the airport and checked-in each time. The hotels were of excellent quality; comfortable, well situated and welcoming. Peru itself was brilliant. We had a brilliant time and Llama travel were fantastic throughout, putting together a superb itinerary including a three night beach-side extension at Mancora. Their organisation and communication skills were first rate. Can’t recommend then highly enough.

17 day trip to Peru was fantastic…

17 day trip to Peru was fantastic thanks to Llama Travel and Condor Travel whilst in South America. If Carlsberg ever produced a trip then this was it. The tour guides were excellent especially all who helped and assisted us on the 4 day Inca Trail. Would certainly recommend Llama Travel and their counterparts in Peru Condor Travel.

Travel, hotels and guides all excellent on our Patagonia trip.

We enjoyed the freedom to vary one's itinerary and the consequent variety of fellow travellers who were there for all or part of our trip. We were met without fail at every airport by local guides whose knowledge of the history, politics, geography, flora and fauna of Chile and Argentina was exemplary. We would certainly use Llama for future trips to South America having used an equally good but more expensive specialist company on a previous trip to Peru. Our only complaint was that we'd have liked more time to enjoy the beautiful scenery in both the Chilean and Argentinean Lake District.

Llama Travel tailored their Peru tour…

Llama Travel tailored their Peru tour to accommodate our plans. They were amazing to deal with, and nothing was a problem for them. The flights they arranged were all at decent times and well organised within the tour and the hotels all were well located and of high standard.. However we did not get to go as the pandemic struck and borders closed a week before our departure. During this fiasco, Llama Travel kept us informed and communicated options. We opted for a refund of our trip and have received a full refund of the total payment made. I wish the other tour operators that we are dealing with in South America could have the integrity and the very high standards of Llama Travel.

Our first time booking with Llama…

Our first time booking with Llama Travel and they were excellent. We went on a family holiday to Peru with our teenage girls, 17 & 15 - perfect trip for them. Everything was really well-organised, Otto and Gary were really helpful in booking the holiday and answering all our questions in the lead-up to going. The hosts on the ground were very welcoming and helpful. The tour guides in the jungle and at Sacred Valley really went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable trip. It felt like we were visiting good friends who were showing us around where they lived and giving us insight into their lives, rather then being shown around by tour guides. Their care, attentiveness, enthusiasm and affability were exceptional. Our daughter had an ankle injury 2 days before we travelled and we arrived in the jungle to find our accommodation had been upgraded to make things easier for her - so incredibly thoughtful and made all the difference. We will definitely book with them again.

Llama Travel Cape Town and the Garden…

Llama Travel Cape Town and the Garden Route plus Victoria Falls. Trip was in January/February 2024 Unable to fault Llama on the level of service and attention when we booked this holiday. Did not have any problems with the hotels, guides, or drivers. Llama offer an upgrade package for the hotels on this trip, in my opinion it is not worth doing, we were 9 couples and one couple did take the upgrade and missed out on a lot of socialising, the hotels on the basic package met all of our needs and we would happily stay in any of them again. Suggest that you do not take the flight that gets into Cape Town very early in the morning, I think it came in about 4AM. The first hotel which is the Sun Square City Bowl does not allow check in until 4PM, some of our group had to wait about 10 hours to get into there room. Since Llama published the details of the holiday Zimbabwe has increased the cost of the visa for entry from $50 to $55 per person. It was not difficult to get the visa at the airport just time consuming.

Wonderful service and great value

I travelled alone on to Peru with Llama Travel visiting the jungle, Cusco and Lake Titicaca. The service was amazing guides were very knowledgeable and friendly and the transport and hotels were all excellent. Everything was well organised and although I was on my own I always felt safe and included within the group I travelled with. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone thinking about travelling to South America.

Amazing Service, Amazing Holiday

Just back from our amazing trip to Costa Rica and from the moment of booking to arriving home Llama Travel has been exceptional. In the lead up to our holiday any questions or queries were met with quick and informative replies that made travelling with pandemic restrictions as painless as possible. Upon arriving in Costa Rica every guide and driver we had were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Ecuador and the Galápagos

It was our first holiday with Llama Travel and I can't praise them enough. From pick up at the airport to return to airport the service was amazing. Our guide In Ecuador was very knowledgeable, kind and considerate, the transport was first class and very comfortable. For the Galápagos cruise we were on the La Pinta where once again the staff, guides and accomadation were fantastic. The cabins are very roomy with comfortable bed, plenty of hot water for the shower and excellent food. At the end of our eight day cruise we then stayed for three nights at the Finch Bay hotel on Santa Cruz, where we chilled out by the pool...perfect! This holiday exceeded our expectations and would recommend it to anyone. We will have no hesitation in using Llama Travel again.

Highlights of Chile and Argentina

At the beginning of December 2019 my friend Heather and I returned from an amazing 2 week trip to Chile and Argentina incorporating the capitals and patagonian regions of both countries. It was such an easy and fantastic trip from beginning to end. The guides from condor travel were all so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with tips of what to do with free days and offering their knowledge of local atrractions on excursion days. I have experienced tours with other companies and this was by far the best that i have experienced. I will definitely book another tour with llama in the future. A Role Model for Customer Service

A Role Model for Customer Service We had booked the holiday of a lifetime - to the Okavango Delta and Zimbabwe - and had paid a deposit of £2000. When Llama Travel took the decision to cancel the holiday, they immediately refunded the amount paid. There was no quibble, no hassle, no pressure to rebook for next year, no offer of vouchers. Exemplary handling of holiday cancellation due to the pandemic

We were due to take an extended trip to Mexico and Peru from the middle of April. This of course did not happen. From the beginning of it looking unlikely that the trip would take place Llama Travel were in contact and we were able to speak to them or email about the possible options. After much consideration and for many reasons we decided to take a refund rather than wait to re-book. We appreciated that this was quite an undertaking for the company and we are extremely grateful for the honourable way in which the company acted. They refunded us quickly and efficiently. We have found everyone at Llama Travel supremely friendly and professional. We are sad not to be in Mexico now but without doubt we will be using Llama Travel to book the holiday again in the future.

Marvellous Mexico

Had a fantastic holiday in Mexico arranged by Llama Travel. We stayed in Mexico City, Oaxaca, San Cristobal, Palenque, Merida and Riviera del Maya. Everything was well organised and efficient including the transfers and organised trips. The local guides were excellent, being both friendly and knowledgeable. Hotels were very good and well located. We had a brilliant experience of many different areas of Mexico, the history, flora and fauna as well as lots of inside information from the guides. Prior to the holiday we were well supported by staff in terms of travelling and the COVID restrictions. I would recommend Llama Travel to everyone.

An excellent holiday.We would recommend Llama Travel to anyone going on holiday to South or Latin America.We were able to choose the elements we wanted,choose our flights(in our case KLM from our local airport Leeds Bradford via Amsterdam( Schiphol) avoiding travelling to Heathrow) and in small groups throughout the holiday. Condor travel, the Peruvian company supporting Llama, were very efficient.All of the luggage arrived on time and there were no problems.The guides on the tours and transfers were pleasant,helpful and well -informed with impressive language skills. We had no complaints about any of the hotels.We upgraded only once but all of the hotels were of a very good standard. A truly memorable experience.

We recently returned from a memorable trip to South America and would have no hesitation in recommending Llama Travel to anyone. We were able to discuss our itinerary beforehand and the company was more than willing to make changes to suit our needs - nothing was too much trouble. The trip lasting nearly three weeks went very smoothly - all transfers went without a hitch with someone to help us at every airport (we had 6 fights in total) and all the guides on each excursion were both knowledgeable and friendly, and the hotels were excellent. Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, the Iguacu Falls and finally Rio de Janeiro all have special memories thanks to Llama Travel

Thank you for making us feel like VIPs

The whole experience from start to finish was first class. Yes there was a hiccup with one of our tours being cancelled, but the upgraded substitute that was offered to us was top drawer. We were made to feel like VIPs throughout the holiday. The accommodation in the Galápagos Islands - the Galápagos Suites - was about the best accommodation I have ever stayed in, in terms of value, cleanliness and customer service. Equally the excursions in Ecuador went like clockwork. The most irksome thing has been trying to post this review - I am now trying for a fifth time to post it. I would not hesitate to recommend Llama Travel, and nor would I hesitate to use them again!
