Pierce The Veil: ’12 Fractures’
Pierce The Veil released their fifth album, The Jaws Of Life , in early February. The album – which landed at #8 on ARIA’s Top 50 Albums chart – is their to be made first without drummer Mike Fuentes, who left the band in 2017 after allegations of sexual misconduct . Piece The Veil found unexpected success in recent years thanks to TikTok, which helped send their track ‘King For A Day’ back into the charts a decade after its release.
Beartooth were last here in 2019, when they circled the country in support of their 2018 album Disease. They’ll be equipped with their 2021 album Below on the upcoming trip, which includes the singles ‘Devastation’, ‘The Past Is Dead’ and ‘Skin’.

Platinum-selling San Diego powerhouse PIERCE THE VEIL and Gold-certified, Columbus Ohio rockers BEARTOOTH are teaming up for a huge double header and will be hitting Australian shores this July with special guests, Southern California quartet DAYSEEKER .
PIERCE THE VEIL have become iconic in their genre and their return has been fiercely welcomed. The band Rolling Stone once described as “hyperactive, progressive post-hardcore,” have just released album number five, The Jaws of Life, which debuted at #8 on the ARIA album chart, their highest Australian chart entry.
They’ve also debuted atop Billboard’s Top Rock Albums, Alternative Albums, and Hard Rock Albums charts twice – first with Collide With the Sky (2012) and its follow-up, Misadventures (2016). A decade after its release, the already platinum King for a Day shot to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Streaming chart, driven by the viral #KingForADay hashtag on TikTok. Even with two gold singles and a gold album, this coming year could be their biggest yet.
PIERCE THE VEIL perform at the biggest festivals and is counted among the biggest and brightest of a younger generation of bands. But it all starts with the songs. The Jaws of Life is filled with the kind to keep the PTV fire burning forever.
Forbes declared BEARTOOTH as “inching towards a tipping point of becoming the latest arena headliner” and Rolling Stone introduced BEARTOOTH as one of 10 New Artists You Need To Know.
Their marriage of colossally catchy choruses and post-hardcore-soaked-in-sweaty-metal is without rival. Its effect is evident by their deeply engaged audience; tours with Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon, and A Day To Remember; and an RIAA-certified gold plaque.
Songs like The Past is Dead, Fed Up, and In Between have pushed BEARTOOTH past 850 million streams. The band’s fourth album, Below, topped the Rock, Hard Music, and Alternative charts in 2021 and found its way into Best Rock/Metal Albums of the Year lists assembled by the likes of Revolver, Rock Sound, Kerrang!, Loudwire, Knotfest, and a slew of like-minded media outlets. The band also graced it first Revolver cover in Summer 2021.
DAYSEEKER embody what a rock band can be in the 21st century. Tallying hundreds of millions of streams, selling out shows, and earning acclaim from the likes of Alternative Press and more, the band crystallize this outlier vision on their 2022 fifth full-length offering, Dark Sun.
Don’t miss this huge double header! Tickets won’t last long.

Beartooth Announce New Album 'The Surface' Ahead Of Australian Tour With Pierce The Veil
The album announcement arrives just one day before the Beartooth start their co-headline tour with Pierce The Veil across Australia.
Beartooth (Credit: Jimmy Fontaine)
Ohio rock and hardcore punk chameleons Beartooth announced their fifth album, The Surface , which will be released via Red Bull Records on Friday, 13 October.
The album announcement arrives just one day before the US rockers start their co-headline tour with Pierce The Veil across Australia, kicking off with a sold-out gig at the Metropolis Fremantle.
Venues have been upgraded throughout the tour, with the popular two bands hitting Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Monday, 24 July, Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Wednesday, 26 July, Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Thursday, 27 July (sold out), and ends at Brisbane’s Riverstage on Saturday, 29 July. You can grab your last-minute tickets here .
Beartooth’s album reveal arrives with the vibrant music video for the single, Might Love Myself , which you can watch below. Described as an “intensely personal and powerful journey” for vocalist Caleb Shomo in a press release, The Surface demonstrates a more optimistic outlook after sharing many demons with fans over the years.
“Beartooth's entire discography has been snapshots of my inner monologue and emotional state over the years with a recurring theme: depression and self-loathing,” Shomo explained in a statement. “It's been tough to understand why I've felt the way I do for so long. During the pandemic, I was faced with two distinct paths in life.
“One — I continue doing nothing to manage the realities of my mental health and continue down a path of self-destruction, ultimately ending in my demise. Two — choose to do the work needed to maintain a healthier relationship with myself, no matter how difficult or painful.”
Don't miss a beat with our FREE daily newsletter
He added, “This album is the story of my beginnings in the new world I've created for myself. One focused on health, self-love, positivity, understanding, hard work, and, most of all, second chances. At the end of the day, life is short for all of us. We can't escape the end, so why not make friends with it and live in a world focused on living a personally fulfilling life.”
The Surface isn’t only personal, but it comes with an arresting mission statement anyone who’s struggled with mental health issues needs in their lives.
“I truly believe mental health starts with a healthy relationship with one's self,” Shomo said. “Self-love was something I never believed would be a part of my life. I would focus on my depression and my sadness, believing those part of me were always the most prominent in my mind. But through hard work comes results.
“Self-love had to be a choice; it can't be an emotion. Emotions are fleeting and can change with a sunset or a single word. Choosing to put your own health (mentally and physically) as the highest priority in your life has been the only path I've found to self-love. It helped me realise what I'm capable of, how strong I am, and that progress is more important than any immediate fix to my emotions. This song is about the first moment I realised something was significantly shifting in my life.”
You can pre-order The Surface here .

Beartooth are a metal band hailing from Columbus, Ohio who formed in 2012. Originally beginning as the solo project of Attack Attack! frontman Caleb Shomo, the project was turned into a full band that debuted in 2014, becoming one of the world’s hottest metalcore bands in the process.
Weirdly enough, one of the most exciting bands in heavy metal stems from the same man behind one of its most maligned. Until 2014, Caleb Shomo was best known as the lead singer in Attack Attack!, and was a genuine laughing stock in the metal world for giving the world Crabcore. The internet meme based around a seconds long clip from one of the band’s videos massively overtook the popularity of the actual band but all was not well in the Attack Attack! camp for a different, far more serious reason. While the band were getting more and more popular, Shomo was constantly dealing with clinical depression that on more than one occasion left him suicidal, and he left the band in late 2012 for the sake of his health and safety.
Fortunately, he’d already been working on some Beartooth material, and in an attempt to reconnect with music as something he loved, rather than his job, he put together a full line-up for Beartooth with members of fellow Columbians My Ticket Home. By January 2013, Shomo had put his first batch of Beartooth songs on the internet and announced their first run of live shows in the Midwest. By June they were signed to Red Bull Records and their debut album “Disgusting”, was released in June 2014, followed by extensive touring, most notably on the 2014 Warped Tour and then in the United Kingdom on the 2015 Kerrang! Tour. Shomo has managed to gain something that has evaded many in the world of rock and roll, and that’s a second chance. Rather than be written off as a novelty act, he formed one of the most exciting acts in heavy metal and earned the respect of the very same people who derided him in Attack Attack!, and for that, Beartooth come highly recommended.
Live reviews
With their debut full-length released this year, Beartooth look set to establish themselves in the hardcore scene with a raw, punk-edged record that straddles the middle ground between Every Time I Die's rowdy swagger and A Day to Remember's metallic tour de force. What started as an alternative creative outlet for Attack Attack!'s Caleb Shomo soon grew into his main pursuit, offering an entirely different beast to his former band. Their music is a fun new take on a scene that is heavily inundated with bands which they combine with an energetic, wild live show.
Their performance in support of Memphis May Fire on the Unconditional Tour this year displayed their ability to offer a visceral, energetic live show, with their songs translating well to a live setting. It was a powerful performance, with songs like "Beaten in Lips" setting the crowd into a frenzy of flailing limbs and screams in unison with Caleb. Their breakdowns are heavy and choruses anthemic and melodic, making a perfect combination for a quality hardcore act. WIth their album recently released, the band seem eager to perform these new songs and spread passion for their music through riveting live performances, making them definitely worthwhile checking out.

I didn't manage to see them, as in your app was written the doors opened at 10.00pm,but only the concert of Architecs was at that time and the whole event started at 8.00pm. If I had known it started at that time I'd try to hurry more because we finished working at 8.30pm and we would arrive at the place at 9. 30pm, maybe we could have asked to leave 30 minutes before to see Beartooth, but we were so relaxed because Songkick was so cool to put the opening time and that meant we had time to finish working, have a shower and so on, because the doors opened at 10pm... I was very furious at the beginning when we arrived and saw all the crowd crying to Architects that we even asked if there had been any changes and we discovered that not... but now I'm also very disappointed.
I purchased the VIP meet and greet. Getting in early avoiding the line was great and got to meet Caleb and the band, get a photo, he signed things for everyone and was just a great guy and appreciated everyone for who they were.
The show was fantastic he got the crowd really involved with the songs and performed very well.
Would 100% recommend seeing these guys live because they love it just as much as we do, there's a great atmosphere and the live songs are incredible! And the break downs...man they were HEAVY!
Beartooth, the king of breakdowns and over all "awesomeness!".
This isn't my first time seeing beartooth, nor will it be the last. Every time they get on stage the crowd goes absolutely insane. Caleb is a great front man, hes able to get the entire crowd hyped up and involved and even calm down a bit when it's a more serious song. There is so much emotion in all of the songs that are played by this band. There was even a part where caleb talked about his personal life and all of the things hes had to deal with over the years and that hit home for me since I'm dealing with the same things.
I have been to many concerts, but never to the Marquis where Beartooth played. The opening bands were really good, then Beartooth came on. I don't think I have ever been more involved in a show than I was that night. There were some sound problems that the lead singer tried to fix a few times, but they were just small setbacks. When I left, I felt like I had just gotten out of a swimming pool. It is definitely one of my best concert experiences. Whenever Beartooth comes back through Colorado, I am buying a ticket for sure.
The beartooth gig was mind blowing. I went to see them in Birmingham with my brother and girlfriend. It was my brothers first concert and he though earth were ok til he seen them live, now he Is a big fan. The support asks were great especially vanna. When beartooth came on I went crazy singing, moshing and for the first time at any gig crowd surfing. Beartooth is one of my favourite bands and this was the 3rd time seeing them (first time indoor) and it was the best and the best band I've seen this year.
Straight up in your face melodic hardcore music. Soaring melodic choruses ripe for a crowd sing along mixed with crunching breaks guttural screams. Along with the heartfelt lyrical content Beartooth really bring the intensity. These guys clearly love playing live also. The band was drenched in sweat (theirs and the crowds!) by the end of the gig. Guitar solos and stage dives from the top of speaker stacks through to giving the mic to the crowd, Beartooth brought stage presence in spades.
Oh my god it was one of the most exciting shows that I have ever been too. The fan's were definitely insane and the band loved every minute of it! Their performance and the participation from the crowd was definitely one for the memory book. I've seen them at other venues before but last night was just fabulous! it was a night that I will never forget and TY to all the other bands for an Amazing Show and a Memorable one! They all Rocked! Thanks Again
Beartooth kicked ass as usual the insane high tempo, high intensity and ferocious vocals of caleb shomo and the band were spot on the guitarist had to fly home do to personal issues and the kid who replaced him had learned the entire set in a matter of hours and saved the show literally and played like a madman the drummer plays like a praying mantis with 8 arms his drum solo was unbelievable definitely got to this show you won't be disappointed
Beartooth was amazing!! I'd relive that day in a heart beat. Beartooth was my 1st concert ever, and i do admit i was nervous; BUT as soon as i got inside and all the bands played, i felt welcome and started getting involved. I LOVE how bearthooh accepts us all as a family too, and the venue was really nice. "No barricade, No problem" (; thanks for having Beartooth play!! -Punky

Pierce the Veil is a southern Californian band that rose to fame during the emo obsession of the mid-2000s founded by brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes.
Their sound fuses metal-core, hard rock, pop punk, and what the band calls ‘mexicore’ – they like all of their songs to have a hint of Latin influence. They’ll be touring on the back of their fifth studio album, The Jaws of Life, which features the singles Pass the Nirvana and Emergency Contact.
Hailing from Columbus, Ohio, Beartooth makes music that holds the perfect balance between heavy and melodic, with big, sing-along choruses that are just as easy to enjoy from the balcony as they are from the pit.
Started as a side project of Caleb Shomo, former Attack Attack! backing vocalist and instrumentalist, the band quickly grew into an unstoppable force. They now have four albums behind them as well as a dedicated fanbase.
The massive double-hitter comes with another bonus as well – coming along for the ride will be the Orange Country post-hardcore group, Dayseeker. Tickets are on sale now and aren’t expected to last, so grab yours now to avoid disappointment.

Pierce The Veil & Beartooth 2023 Australian tour
Platinum-selling San Diego powerhouse PIERCE THE VEIL and Gold-certified, Columbus Ohio rockers BEARTOOTH are teaming up for a huge double header and will be hitting Australian shores this July with special guests, Southern California quartet DAYSEEKER. They’ve also debuted atop Billboard ’s Top Rock Albums, Alternative Albums, and Hard Rock Albums charts twice – first with Collide With the Sky (2012) and its follow-up, Misadventures (2016). A decade after its release, the already platinum King for a Day shot to No. 1 on Billboard ’s Hard Rock Streaming chart, driven by the viral #KingForADay hashtag on TikTok. Songs like The Past is Dead, Fed Up , and In Between have pushed BEARTOOTH past 850 million streams. The band’s fourth album, Below , topped the Rock, Hard Music, and Alternative charts in 2021 and found its way into Best Rock/Metal Albums of the Year lists assembled by the likes of Revolver , Rock Sound , Kerrang!, Loudwire , Knotfest , and a slew of like-minded media outlets. The band also graced it first Revolver cover in Summer 2021. DAYSEEKER embody what a rock band can be in the 21 st century. Tallying hundreds of millions of streams, selling out shows, and earning acclaim from the likes of Alternative Press and more, the band crystallize this outlier vision on their 2022 fifth full-length offering, Dark Sun . Don’t miss this huge double header! Tickets won’t last long.

Beartooth Announce New Album ‘The Surface’ & Shares New Single/Video. Australian Co-Headline Tour With Pierce The Veil Starts Today!
Gold-selling, billion-streaming rock band Beartooth — Caleb Shomo, vocals; Zach Huston, guitars; Will Deely, guitars; Oshie Bichar, bass; and Connor Denis, drums — have announced their fifth album The Surface , arriving October 13 via Red Bull Records. Pre-order it here .
Like its predecessors, The Surface is an intensely personal and powerful journey for Shomo, who has never shied away from sharing his demons in his music and with his fans. However, the frontman has turned a corner with a more optimistic outlook and demonstrates exceptional growth as both an artist and a human being through the songs that comprise the album.
“ Beartooth ‘s entire discography has been snapshots of my inner monologue and emotional state over the years with a recurring theme: depression and self-loathing ,” says Shomo. “ It’s been tough to understand why I’ve felt the way I do for so long. During the pandemic, I was faced with two distinct paths in life. One — I continue doing nothing to manage the realities of my mental health and continue down a path of self-destruction, ultimately ending in my demise. Two — choose to do the work needed to maintain a healthier relationship with myself, no matter how difficult or painful. ”
He continues, “ This album is the story of my beginnings in the new world I’ve created for myself. One focused on health, self love, positivity, understanding, hard work, and most of all second chances. At the end of the day, life is short for all of us. We can’t escape the end, so why not make friends with it and live in a world focused on living a personally fulfilling life. ”
And with that impactful mission statement in mind, the band has shared the video for the first single Might Love Myself .
“ I truly believe mental health starts with a healthy relationship with one’s self, ” Shomo further explains . “ Self-love was something I never believed would be a part of my life. I would focus on my depression and my sadness, believing those part of me were always the most prominent in my mind. But through hard work comes results. Self-love had to be a choice; it can’t be an emotion. Emotions are fleeting and can change with a sunset or a single word. Choosing to put your own health (mentally and physically) as the highest priority in your life has been the only path I’ve found to self love. It helped me realize what I’m capable of, how strong I am, and that progress is more important than any immediate fix to my emotions. This song is about the first moment I realized something was significantly shifting in my life. ”
Beartooth recently wrapped up a co-headlining U.S. tour with Trivium and will return to Australia for the first time in four years, co-headlining alongside Pierce The Veil. They will next head to Europe for a festival run.
