If you’ve considered Key Largo Fishing , think again and make the drive to Islamorada, Florida Keys ! We can arrange a custom tailored I slamorada fishing package . Most of the offshore charter boats at Bud n’ Mary’s Marina are owner/operator and vary in price due to their fuel burn/amenities/boat size. The backcountry skiffs are all owner/operator and most of them have near identical fixed costs, so their prices are the same. We do not offer any discounted rates for “ Islamorada fishing packages ” since we do not own the boats. We are very happy to organize an unforgettable fishing package for you though if you call us in the office at 1 800 742 7945!

Examples of “multi day fishing packages” would include fishing on both offshore and backcountry boats. There are so many different fish to catch in Islamorada, mixing it up a little bit is highly recommended. However, if you favor one type of fishing over another, feel free to book multiple days doing that! These trips can be arranged any way you like from hardcore fishing for 3 full days, splitting them up with a couple days fishing with a day to enjoying the restaurants & bars by water, or if you just want a day out on the water sightseeing, watching the sunset, or floating around!  We can make it work!

7 nights , with 3 full days of fishing  or excursions  –  $9,750.00*    (6 People = $1,625.00 each -or-  4 people =  $2,437.50 each) Necessary licenses for fishing, ice, and fuel for normal trips are included.   This DOES NOT include crew gratuity.

3 offshore trips are on our Freeman 34VH’s shown in the pic’s above. *This trip’s pricing does not include long-range trips such as Swordfishing, as there may be a fuel surcharge, or increased charter price necessary for these trips. Just call Capt. James or Capt. Ross and they can explain the differences in the types of trips that require the extra charge.

Accomodations at: The "Conch" House

The pictures below are for an exceptional property called the “Conch House”!  This property is located on the oceanside in Islamorada and has 2 bedrooms and 2 ½ baths. It has a sofa sleeper that will sleep 2 additional people. There is a king-size bed in the master bedroom, and 2 queen beds in the second bedroom. 

This house will sleep 8 people, and it is located right in the heart of Islamorada close to shopping and restaurants!  In addition, this property comes with a boat slip that will accommodate a boat up to 30 feet long!  This property has a pool as well as a small private beach, so you will have all of the island comforts one would expect on their tropical vacation!

Peregrine Lodge is a fully-guided fishing lodge , meaning that there will always be a professional with you onboard your boat. Our expert guides are highly qualified, carefully selected, licensed and have the experience to ensure your fishing trip is successful. Our guides know the waters of Haida Gwaii and will make sure that you get the most out of your fishing adventure of a lifetime.

We are proud to offer our guests a higher standard in fishing boats. We strive to maintain the best fleet, and provide safety and comfort for our guests. We take pride in maintaining our boats for optimal performance.

Prior to your trip to Peregrine lodge, you are required to register for a fishing license. Fishing licenses can be purchased online and printed, but you must carry it while fishing and while travelling. Your fishing license should be ready and with you always.

The Fish of Haida Gwaii

Haida Gwaii is home to various indigenous saltwater and freshwater species including:

Chinook Salmon

These salmon are big in size and are also known as King or Spring salmon. They are often rated as the best tasting salmon due to their high oil content.

Coho Salmon

Coho are prized in BC for its deliciously rich meat. They provide a great challenge for anglers due to their aggressive and moody behavior.

Pink Salmon

Pink are smallest of the BC salmon species. They have large runs and provide anglers with consistent sport fishing.

Chum Salmon

Chum are also known as dog or keta salmon. They are silvery blue-green in colour with some spotting in a darker shade and paler belly. They change to an olive green colour when they move into fresh water.

Sockeye Salmon

Sockeye are mainly red in colour during spawning and can grow up to 84 cm.

Pacific Halibut

Halibut provide a mild and sweet taste, with a firm texture and few bones. They can grow up to 400 pounds but ones that are 10 to 50 pounds are more common.

Lingcod is a popular fish to eat and is prized by anglers. They can reach sizes as large as 60 inches and weigh up to 130 pounds.

These cod are yellow-grey to red-brown in colour with white fin margins. They may grow up to 50 cm in length.

Yelloweye Rockfish

Rockfish are one of the world’s longest-living  fish species. They change from a reddish colour to bright orange as they grow from youth to adulthood.

Millions of salmon swim through the waters of Haida Gwaii as they return to spawn in the rivers and streams across British Columbia.

At Peregrine Lodge we are proud promoters of catch and release fishing of saltwater and freshwater fish. Fish Processing

As part of your all-inclusive fishing package, all the fish that you catch are processed professionally. This means that your fish is cleaned, vacuum sealed, and packaged for your flight home.

A Typical Day at Peregrine Lodge

A day at Peregrine Lodge starts off with a gourmet breakfast prepared by our executive chef. Afterwards, pick up your freshly made lunch and snacks to enjoy while on the water.

Once you arrive in the dry room, suit up with our all-weather cruiser suits and boots. After you get all your gear on, you will head down to the dock to meet your guide, who will assist you in catching your prized fish. Our dock cart service will pick you up at the dry room and shuttle you down to your boat.

After spending 10 hours on the water, a weigh-in celebration takes place and drinks and appetizers are served at the main lodge until dinner begins at 7:30 pm.

The celebration continues after dinner with the awards ceremony presented nightly with prizes for the largest catches of the day.

Fishing the Florida Keys is fun and more comfortable if you bring the right accessories:

• Polarized sunglasses
• Any food or refreshments that you may want.
• For full-day charters, we suggest packing a lunch and we’ll keep it cooled, on ice, for you.
• Appropriate clothing for the time of year. Bring along a light jacket, we do get that sudden short rain shower

We supply all the fishing tackle you will need, but if you have a favorites rod and reel, please my all means bring it along. Plenty of bottled water, ice and cooler space will be available in our cooler onboard. Bring your camera, and make sure your batteries are charged. There will be plenty of photo opportunities!

If needed, bring motion-sickness medications. Make sure to take it at least ONE HOUR in advance of the trip.

• Cancellation Policy- If you cancel 14 days in advance of your scheduled trip your deposit is fully refundable. If less than 14 days you forfeit your deposit.
• Fishing Charter cancellations due to rain will be left up to the discretion of the captain. We will do our best to work around bad weather and will work to reschedule your trip or refund your deposit.

Add A Saltwater Fishing Trip

Stick Marsh is very close to the Atlantic coast of Florida. With about a 30-minute drive east, anglers can find themselves in Sebastian to experience some incredible saltwater fishing. Inshore and offshore fishing trips are available and can be added to any Stick Marsh fishing package.

Inshore fishing trips involve fishing shallow coastal waters with the shoreline in sight for popular game fish species such as Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Jacks, Pompano, Trout, and sharks. Inshore fishing trips are usually very scenic with manatees, dolphins, and other sea life and are generally the best option for families with young kids.

Deep-sea fishing trips are done further out in waters over 90 feet deep, and the shoreline is not always in sight. Popular fish species caught on offshore fishing trips include mahi-mahi, sailfish, kingfish, wahoo, blackfin tuna, and giant sharks.

Swordfish Adventures

There has been quite a bit written about our swordfish fishery as of late and for good reason. With long-lining under control on the East Coast, these elusive fish have made a spectacular comeback.

Night time Fort Lauderdale Swordfishing Charters:

Visualize this: we leave the dock about 2 hours before dark and run or fast troll due south down to Miami. We then head out with the aid of satellite navigation and radar into the deep blue waters of the Gulf Stream and to depths over 1000 feet of water. We then set lines and drift our way north in the Gulf Stream current. We fish live bait, squid with light sticks (as seen in the perfect storm), or really whatever it takes to get them going.

Day time Fort Lauderdale Swordfishing Charters:

We leave the dock between 7 to 8 AM, run or fast troll straight offshore to 1500 – 1700 feet of water and fish directly on the bottom. No live bait here. Squid, strip style, natural bait, or whole fishes exclusively for bait.

When the reel goes off, there is nothing more exciting than being out on the ocean battling it out with such a powerful fish. Swordfish…the gladiator of the deep.

Ocean Key Resort and Spa, Key West

Ocean Key is at 0 Duval Street, the most famous street in Key West . It’s renowned for its nightlife hotspots like Sloppy Joe’s Bar, a National Historic Landmark that opened nearly a century ago. You’ll be just steps from Sunset Pier too, where locals and visitors gather to watch one of the world’s most impressive sunsets every day at dusk.

Ambrosia, Key West

Whether you want to melt into the rich history of Key West or party on Duvall Street, Ambrosia is a great centrally located hotel. It’s a smaller, boutique-style property that will make you feel like you’re staying in your own little Key West Home. Despite its size, there are three pools and it offers a variety of accommodations types.

Ambrosia’s packages are a bit different than what you would think of when you hear “all-inclusive.” The hotel focuses on the experience rather than the food. Its romance package includes champagne, chocolate truffles, flowers, a couples massage, and a sunset sail with champagne for two. It also offers an adventure package that includes excursions and bike rentals. 

The resort is set in an old tropical nursery, making it feel as if you’re immersed in a fairytale garden. We think the best room is the Jungle room which backs to the garden and has a private porch leading to the pool. However, the honeymoon suite comes with a two-person Jacuzzi tub and a canopy bed. Each room is unique and worth a look. 

Henderson Park Inn, Destin

Henderson Park Inn combined the feel of an intimate little inn with the services and luxuries of a full-scale resort. An adults-only hotel, it’s located right next door to Henderson Beach State Park. It’s secluded from Destin’s crowded area and located directly on the beautiful white sand beach.

There are many different packages to choose from to make your honeymoon more inclusive at Henderson Park. The best package for a honeymoon is the Romance Package. It includes a customized playlist, flowers, romantic turndown, wine, and desserts. The hotel also has a breakfast package that includes your daily morning meal at its beachside cafe.

Each suite at Henderson Park has a very homey feel and ample space. They all come with huge porches overlooking the ocean, and rustic furnishings for more of a beach house feel. "The resort is an especially great vacation spot for a family with elementary school-age kids and up," said our tester.

But if you do have a baby or toddler, the brand steps up to provide gear, so you don't have to bring or rent any. You're welcome to borrow a huge array of baby equipment, including bathtubs, bottle warmers and even strollers that are specifically designed to go on the beach. The best thing about Franklyn D. Resort & Spa : Every family receives their own CPR-trained "Vacation Nanny" for about eight hours daily, from morning to late afternoon. It's only 10 minutes from the airport."

The Tyler Place Family Resort, Highgate Springs, VT

Open from late May to early September, The Tyler Place Family Resort offers magical camp-like experiences for families with babies through high schoolers. With many repeat guests, the resort sells out quickly.

In the morning, kids and teens — divided into eight groups by age — participate in supervised nature-based activities on the lake, private shorefront or surrounding fields. Counselors take toddlers on nature walks, fishing for perch or to the playground while pre-teens go on mountain bike rides and navigate a ropes course. Meanwhile, you can actually drink your coffee in peace or enjoy a yoga class or tennis lesson.

In the afternoon, families come together for maple snow cones, arts and crafts, bike rides and so much more. Seventy-two cottages and suites come in a variety of sizes and configurations; the largest one, Farmhouse West, can sleep up to 10 guests.

Flathead Lake Lodge, Bigfork, MT

If you think it's practically impossible to please every member of your extended family on a trip, you haven't been to Flathead Lake Lodge . The lakeside dude ranch truly appeals to all ages and interests because it has "everything you could dream of," according to a Good Housekeeping staffer who recently visited with her daughter, nephews and parents. “The food was delicious. The menu was very well-planned and smart. They obviously care deeply about what they serve. The staff was the nicest, most hospitable I can recall. Everyone was just so polite and so friendly and so helpful and so knowledgeable. Our group had the best time — even my dad who hates everything.”

Although Flathead Lake Lodge doesn't have an official kids' camp, the supervised kids' activities, broken down by age group, run from morning to night. Highlights for adults include mountain yoga, water sports, horseback riding and flower-arranging classes. While the lodge is open seasonally, from May to October, it's not too early to book your summer trip.

Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya All-Inclusive Resort, Rivera Maya, Mexico

If you want to sneak in a little history and culture along with your beach vacation, book a room at the Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya All-Inclusive Resort . Opened in 2022, the resort is located just 8 miles from Mayan ruins, a popular archaeological site. "The kids' and teen clubs both looked great," said a Good Housekeeping staffer who recently visited with her family. "While all the food was good and plentiful, we especially loved the Mexican restaurant."

C Lazy U Ranch, Granby, CO

A dream come true for kids who are passionate about horses, C Lazy U Ranch — a GH Family Travel Award winner — fosters riding skills and independence for preschoolers to teens. From sunup to sundown, campers are busy with their supervised activities, so you can mountain bike, take a beehive tour and go horseback riding without the kids in tow. "It's a family trip with alone time for the parents," said a Good Housekeeping tester who recently visited with her husband and three daughters. Kids and adults even eat dinner separately — and that arrangement went over well with our tester's family. "The food is probably 50 percent of the reason people come here," said our tester. Absence makes the heart grow fonder because, at the end of the day, kids are excited to show off what they learned at camp. As our tester noted, "The kids' mini performances are beyond adorable."

Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya, Mexico

SpongeBob fans, young and grown, will lose their minds at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya, Mexico , winner of a Good Housekeeping 2024 Family Travel Award. Character breakfasts, meet-and-greets and selfies with SpongeBob ensure that there's fun around every corner. Families can compete in the Slime Time Live show or book a personal slime session.

Four- to 12-year-olds can hang out at Club Nick while you sink into a Bali beach bed that has butler service. While the kids may just want Krabby Patties, you'll be well-fed thanks to the amazing dining experiences at Gourmet Village and culinary pop-ups. "If you want the amenities of a hotel but the advantages of a lake house, Woodloch Resort is it," said our tester. Activities, from bumper cars to boat tours to baking contests, are designed to bring families together. Meals are thoughtfully organized: "You're assigned a table, and that's your table for the whole stay, so you just walk in and seat yourself when you're ready."

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, San Jose del Cabo, Mexico

Nestled between desert dunes and ocean rock formations, the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos delights parents and kids alike. Little ones have their own water park with slides, a splash pool and a sandy playground. Adults are treated to a swim-up bar and state-of-the-art gym.

Mexican-inspired nightly entertainment, ranging from magic acts to tropical dance music performed by the resort band, entertains all ages. There's a wide selection of accommodations — the Ziva suite, in particular, is family-friendly with a separate sleeping space for the kids, two bathrooms and a prime location near the kids' club and water park.

Keep in mind that you can't swim on most beaches in Los Cabos, including this one, because of strong currants. But if your kids prefer the pool anyway, you probably won't miss it.

Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort, Labrelotte Bay, Saint Lucia

Tucked away on a lush mountainside overlooking a bay, the Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort will captivate your entire family. The calm and protected bay, perfect for kids to splash around, has sunbeds and in-water hammocks that make a beach day feel extra special.

Active families can take advantage of the beachfront volleyball net. At night, the resort's parrot mascot gathers families on the beach for storytelling. For an extra charge, the resort will deliver warm milk and cookies to the kids at turndown. Perfect for larger groups, Mediterranean-style, multi-bedroom villas are built into the hillside. The only all-inclusive on this small island in the eastern Caribbean wants your family to explore beyond the resort. Fort Young Hotel & Dive Resort 's "All-Inclusive, Island Included" package for stays of five nights or more covers the cost of excursions, such as a city walking tour and a guided hike to see the island's famous waterfalls. Situated on a historic site, the resort has lovingly refurbished 40 existing guest rooms and suites — and added 60 more. A rooftop wellness garden is in the works for 2024. While kids of all ages are welcome, the resort is best for tweens and teens who would be excited about the excursions. Visit between May and October when you might see three endangered sea turtle species swimming and nesting along the shoreline.

Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Cancun, Cancun, Mexico

This new oceanfront oasis on Playa Mujeres beach makes it more fun to travel with kids. Instead of lugging your own gear, Garza Blanca Resort & Spa has strollers, car seats, baby monitors and other necessities to borrow.

You'll find plush kid-size robes and slippers alongside the adult versions so you can match your mini-me. There's a ton to do as a family, like visit the water park, play tennis and take electric beach bike tours, but there is also a supervised club for kids ages 4 to 12 so you can take some much-needed R&R or head to the adult-only rooftop bar.

Multi-bedroom suites and residences that would be ideal for a family reunion are available. Complimentary souvenirs, like a Mexican coloring book and handmade toys, help kids remember the vacation. Big plus: kids eat and stay free!

Mohonk Mountain House, New Paltz, NY

Every season is fun for families at this historic Hudson Valley retreat, winner of a 2024 Good Housekeeping Family Travel Award. Our tester, who visited Mohonk Mountain House in August with her family, particularly enjoyed boating on the lake.

"We even did a few lunches by the water, which was a beautiful backdrop," she said. Other appealing summertime activities include archery, tomahawk-throwing and stand-up paddleboarding. In winter, snow tubing, ice skating and cross-country skiing will keep your crew entertained. Three meals, afternoon tea and cookies and most activities are included in the price.

The service is top-notch: "The staff was incredibly accommodating, knowledgeable and kind," our tester said. "They recognize that they are a family destination and are very prepared to cater to and handle kids. Even when things went a bit amok, I never felt like I had to be apologetic for it."

Villa La Valencia Beach Resort & Spa, Los Cabos, Mexico

The newish Villa La Valencia Beach Resort & Spa boasts the area's longest lazy river and has a stunning infinity pool that overlooks the ocean. The kids' club offers an array of unexpected activities from Mini Zumba to Mexican Loteria. For adults, cooking classes, tequila tastings and salsa dance lessons are part of the fun. While the beach at this resort is fantastic for long walks, like many Los Cabos beaches, swimming isn't possible because of the strong rip current.

Nestled between a mountain and river, the all-inclusive provides ski-in and ski-out access to the slopes and delivers gear to your on-site snow locker. But if you wanted to drop off 4- to 12-year-olds at the kids' club, that works too. Themed parties, glow-in-the-dark games and even a mini disco keep the kids happy before bedtime. It's just one of the ways "this resort really does a great job to accommodate everyone."

A unique choice for older teens and multigenerational groups, a stay at Castle Hot Springs will revitalize your family — and land you lots of bonding time.
