I was visiting Mussoorie after a period of 35 years after having lived in the Doon Valley for 12 years. Much has changed, and nothing for the better, except for the Savoy. It has been beautifully restored to it's glory. The rooms are spacious and we'll appointed, still reflecting an old world elegance. The staff is courteous, helpful and friendly without being overbearing. The dining is good, and the club bar is also well stocked and cozy. We stayed two nights and would love visit the Savoy again. I wish I could say the same about Mussoorie.

Hotel is as shown in the pics. Has a nice heritage look but may sound expensive to a few but as it comes with breakfast and dinner, it's not at all a bad deal. Staff goes an extra mile to cater to your requirements. And location is amazing..near but still far from mall road. We had a good time and will highly recommend it to couples or honeymooners...it's more of a homely place so please don't expect a 5 star mannerism from staff but they will do all they can to Ensure your stay is beautiful.

Hotel was clean, and staff relatively friendly; English was sometimes a problem but not often. No business centre despite having a room labelled as the business centre-was told by reception they didn't have one. The wifi is atrocious and unreliable - especially in the rooms. Even in the main restaurant, one side of a table would have wifi and the other side would not. The gym is minimally equipped and, while a pitcher of water is provided as opposed to individual bottles, no towels are available and the room is not cooled. The transport from the hotel was quite complicated as the hotel supposedly is not permitted their own cars and they did their best to negotiate on our behalf with local taxis, who sometimes changed price after pick-up. Good selection of food, well prepared, and room entertainment was relatively extensive. Room service fast and accurate!

My wife and I spent a weekend here in February, after I had two days of work in Mussoorie. Off season, and for good reason; it was quite cold, with some snow and frost. But the guest room was warm enough, the lovely library a little chilly, even when they lit the fire - just for us, a very nice touch - thank you! Service impeccable, and surroundings were delightful. It was quiet, and must be wonderful in summer. You cannot book a room directly on their website; you have to send an email, the reply to which took 3 days, by which time we had decided that it had got lost and booked using Agoda, which was a pity as the hotel was offering a 2-night inclusive special not available on Agoda. We would stay again in a heartbeat if we had the opportunity!

This is an old british era property located right on the Mall with great views of the Doon valley. Its a quaint hotel with charming british era architecture in the mail block. It seems they have added a few rooms later on that easily blend with the existing structure. The owner is a an old very charming lady who is a delight to speak to. If you want to live the colonial charm of Mussoorie, there is no better place then this hotel on the Mall, and of course the grand old property "The Savoy".

The hotel itself is very clean and the lobby are kind of funky and cool. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful as we were checking in, and continued to be as we asked questions. We stayed for four nights and had a classic room with a king size bed. The room was quite big by European standards, as well as very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Many prominent people form the British era would spend days enjoying the "queen of the hills Mussoorie". The Maharajah of Tehri bought this hotel from the British and hence changed hands to the present owners. the hotel is beautifully located on a picturesque spot making a birds eye splendid view of the hills. The area is mesmerizing & quiet for some soul connecting & rejuvenating experience. Though the building wasn't to big or the rooms weren't huge, but I'd say that it was pretty comfortable and good value for money. Nice view outside your spacious room. The location was nice, markets just outside. Kind of central to the attractions, restaurants etc. You can get taxis/rickshaws in walking distance. The owner and the staff are really helpful, they can guide you in local stuff, as well as make your journey really pleasant by fulfilling any request you make in the hotel. That's the reasons they have customers who have been coming for years now. You can get chair/tables in the evening to sit outside and enjoy the breeze. You can order food (in fact all 4 meals as well, if you want), water etc. to your room. Rooms were clean, all amenities provided, without any hassle. Initially the WiFi didn't work, but it worked after some hours, so that's fine. I have already referred this to some friends going there, and even I will go back to this when I travel next.

I made online booking through Agoda. I got the confirmation of my booking days before but on reaching at the hotel they denied me the booking. We reached late at night and they might took some other booking for the room who would be paying them heavy amount as that time was a peak season and Mussoorie was over booked. Although hotel was good and had all the required facilities but they are not reliable. Beware if you are opting for an online booking for Hotel Ashirwad.

Went by the high ratings for this hotel and booked it for a one night stay. Since was just looking for a night to crash, did not seriously look for other options. The Room was spacious but was dusty. The room had a very 1980s feeling about it. WiFi was very choppy with frequent power cuts. Absolutely no taxi access. Need to walk at least 1km with luggage for taxi. Only plus is the proximity to Mall Road - Shopping, Restaurants are only a short walk away. Overall a disappointing experience.

Very nice hotel, good rooms, a bit old here and there, but condition is still ok and does not give a bad taste. Small balcony with a mountain view is beautiful. Bed is super comfortable, bed sheets are new and clean, everything is nice in the room, looks good. Bathroom needs cosmetical renovation, though it is not critical. But some things could be done. Wiper could be useful as well, water stays around the toilet and it's always wet there... otherwise all was fine. Stuff is good. Little bit disturbing from time to time about room service, but doing their job, and doing well, so no objection in general. Reception man was attentive and took a real care about everything and about me as a foreigner, innocently, so this is a double plus frok my side, good attitude. Wish them good luck. Will surely recommend to others and if happens, then visit again myself.

"Beautiful". So here are the good and average pointers in a nutshell: Location: Its a great place to be. Just 100 walking steps to the left of the entry to "Mall Road". There is a lot of noise on the Mall Road, but as soon as you take about 50 steps to the left of the Mall Road entry, towards the hotel, you will hear almost utter silence and peace. You don't even realize how close you are to the noisy Mall Road, once you are in the hotel. Ideal to relax! Parking: This is the only drawback. The hotel has a parking, but that is ony for private vehicles. There is no parking for taxis. I had hired a taxi for my travel and we were not allowed to park in the hotel despite requesting them. As a result I had to shell out 200-300 bucks daily to accomodate my taxi on the Mall Road parking. On the booking sites like agoda.com, makemytrip.com and all, they show that parking is available, but nowhere is it mentioned that parking for taxis is not available. Staff Attitude: Very co-operative and helpful. Room and Cleanliness: A big enough room for a couple, clean bedsheets/quilts/blankets, a comfortable mattress for a cozy sleep, and absolutely clean rooms with daily replenished supply of Tea/Coffee/Milk saches and a hot water kettle available in the room, incase you wana make your own morning bed tea, which I prefer.Ample options to set the amount of light in your room to have the ambience you desire at different times of the day, which is cool. Bathrooms: Modern and super clean bathrooms with hot water geyser available 24 hours, with properly functioning taps and shower. View: I had room # 204, which did not have any balcony/view, however, there are rooms (slightly more expensive), that have balconies/views. Wifi and Internet: Available, as per what is mentioned on the hotel website and other sites, but there's almost a non-existant reception in the rooms.

I must say each and every word said about the hotel was so true. The hotel is at the best loacation-Mall road.Valley view from our room (from where we cud also see sunset) was amazing. opp to our hotel was ropeway to gunhill.the staff was very cooperative. Key points : 1.I got the best discount on Agoda for the room booking as compared to other sites. 2.Hotel Mall palace is best choice to stay in budget.Food was good.Clean room,bathroom.Meals were good (Please order hour before to get it on time you plan to eat.) :) Overall....wonderfull experience. My experience with this hotel was very bad. I booked the two room for two couple and two children's. Hotel location is not very convenient. You need to climb up and down. so with luggage and child in your hand, this is very huge task to reach hotel and then from hotel to mall road. Room were not clean. Hotel staff were very bad. We feel cheated.

Demanding full refund from Agoda because they suggested me this hotel as one of their partner hotels cancelled my reservation which i am sure is due to long weekend and I booked at a decent price.

Moreover, no fridge as well. Service response is extremely lethargic with "dont care attitude" . This by no means can be called a 4/5*.. rooms are clean and nice but that doesn't fulfill the stay purpose. Heads up on the facilities at the property before you book.

Had a wonderful stay at the hotel. A brisk 5-10 mins walk from mall road, the hotel has excellent location. Situated in a quiet calm corner of the hill. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will suggest calling the hotel beforehand to get the directions. GPS took us to the other end of mall road whereas the approach road to the hotel is accessible from the other side.

hey guys i have a advice for u if u r heading to mussoorie. You should hire a bike from dehradoon coz most of th touring places in mussoorie are abut some kilometers from the main halt.

If u are not with family then bike is best.Also u will not find any bike on rent in mussoorie so u should take it from dehradun.There is only one place in mussorie where u can get a bike on rent.It is on the way towards Lal tibba.

Not too impressed. Could have been better. The entire look of the place is quite run down now. It can very easily be corrected and it can be one of the top most weekend destination given its proximity to capital.

I would suggest, not to stay in mussorie, its very crowded place, which nobody wants at hill stations.

Rather stay in dhanaulti, which is just 30 KM from mussorie and wether is awesome, which we want at hill stations.From dhanaulti u can visit mussorie mall road once and u can also go to TIRI Dam by chamba town.
