Constructed between the 10th to 12th CE by the Kings of Chalukyan Empire, the Trikuteshewara Temple is famous for its style of architecture and the temple has three Shivalingas carved out of a single rock. It is a place of antiquarian interest with more than 50 ancient temples scattered all over the village, 101 stepped wells built during the rule of the Chalukyas, Seuna, Kalachuris and Hoysalas. History of Hampi

The history of Hampi is rich and fascinating, marked by the rise and fall of the Vijayanagara Empire. It dates back to the ancient times when it was known as Pampa Kshetra or Kishkindha Kshetra, associated with the Ramayana. According to Hindu mythology, Hampi is believed to be the place where Lord Rama and his loyal monkey God Hanuman first met.

The most significant chapter in Hampi's history unfolds during the Vijayanagara Empire. Founded in 1336 by Harihara I and Bukka Raya I, the Vijayanagara Empire reached its zenith under the rule of Emperor Krishnadevaraya in the 16th century.

Hampi became the imperial capital of the Vijayanagara Empire, flourishing as a center of culture, trade, and architecture. However, after the fall of the Vijayanagara Empire, Hampi lost its political significance but retained its religious and cultural importance. Many of the temples continued to be places of worship, though on a more modest scale compared to their former glory.

By Railways : Around 13 km away is the Hospet Junction, which is considered closest to Hampi. To be there at Hospet, you can catch a direct train from Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Goa to enjoy a hassle-free train journey. From there, you can look for local transportation to commute further to your desired destination.

Itinerary (Day Wise)

Hubli – badami (1 night).

Arrive at Hubli airport and proceed to Badami. It is picturesquely nestled at the mouth of a ravine between two rocky hills and it is an important place in the heritage history of Karnataka. Overnight in Badami.

Badami – Pattadakal - Aihole – Hampi (2 Nights)

Today we visit Badami Caves and Bhutnatha Group of Temples. Further we visit Pattadakal- UNESCO World Heritage site to see the grand Vipruksha Temple. Later visit the 5th century stone temples at Aihole- once the capital of Chalukya Dynasty known for intricate stonework. Then we proceed to Hampi. Overnight in Hampi.

• Breakfast & Dinner

Today we explore Hampi - Classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, it is also the “World’s Largest Open-air Museum” You can experience an Auto rickshaw ride (on own) to explore the sights of Hampi. We see Virupaksha Temple, Vitthala Temple and the Stone Chariot followed by a visit the underground Shiva temple, Royal centre (Queen’s Bath, Lotus mahal) and the Elephant Stables. Later we have some free time for shopping. Overnight in Hampi.

Hampi – Hubli (1 Night)

Today enjoy a coracle ride (on direct payment basis) to experience the Hippie Side of Hampi followed by a visit to Anegundi Village - UNESCO Heritage Historical Village. Later we proceed to Hubli. Overnight in Hubli.

Hubli – Departure

Cancellation Policy & Payment Terms

• If the Guest decides to cancel the tour for any reason whatsoever then s/he shall give a written application to the Company within specified time limit along with original receipt issued by the Company. Such cancellation will attract cancellation charges stated hereunder.
• Cancellation charges will be calculated on gross tour cost and the cancellation charges shall depend on date of departure and date of cancellation
• Cancellation charges for any type of transport ticket are applicable as per the rules of the concerned authority.
• Air tickets issued on special fares are NON REFUNDABLE and Guest shall bear cancellation charges.
• Any refund payable to the Guest will be paid after the Company receives refund from the respective authorities. The Company deducts processing charges from the refund to be paid to the Guest.

Payment Terms

• Airlines/Room up-gradation and complimentary will not be entertained during the tour unless if specified at the time of booking.
• There is no refund for any services not utilized during the tour.
• Security deposit is required either in cash or credit card by hotels which is refundable provided no room incidentals are incurred. This security deposit is not included in this quote and must be paid by the guests/corporate directly to the hotel when checking in.
• Guests are advised not to keep valuables in the coach/vehicle while sightseeing. The Company shall not be responsible for loss of valuables from the coach / vehicle . If the coach / vehicle is accidentally or otherwise damaged by the Guest, s/he will be required to pay compensation for the same.

The great historic sites of Badami , Hampi, Belur , Halebedu, Mysore & Bangalore Tour will begin with pick up from Hubli airport. You will visit Hindu collection of ancient temples at Badami, Aihole , Pattadakal , Hampi, Belure & Halebidu , built by Chalukyas, Vijayanagar & Hoysala Empire. You will also visit Mysore & Bangalore the former princely state rich in Imperial heritage. Our transport will remain on disposal at your service and can be used for going out for dinner and optional activities within the cities.

Day 1 Hubli - Badami (110kms)

Pick up from Hubli airport and drive to Badami check in at hotel. Rest time free to relax.

Day 2 Badami

Excursion to visit Aihole a historical site & home to over 125 beautiful Chalukyan temples and monuments from 6th to 12th century. And Pattadakal a treasure trove of Hindu and Jain temples complex built-in 7th and 8th century CE. Return to Badami visit cave temples, Badami Fort and Agastya Lake.

Day 3 Badami - Hampi (140kms)

Drive to Hampi via visiting Trikuteshwara & few ruined Temples in Gadag. And Mallikarjuna, Virabhadra, Manikeshwara, Nanneshwara, Lakshminarayana, Someshwara, Nilakanteshwara temples in Lakkundi. Continue drive to Hampi check in at hotel.

Day 4 Hampi

City tour of Hampi an UNESCO world Heritage sites dotted with numerous ruined temple complexes from the Vijayanagara Empire on the bank of the River Tungabhadra. Visit Hazara Rama Temple, Kings Balance, Mahanavami Dibba, Royal enclosures, Statue of Ugra Narasimha Temple, Virupaksha Temple, Vithala And Lotus Mahal, Vithala Temple Complex and ASI Museum.

Day 5 Hampi - Hassan (330kms)

Drive to Hassan enroute visit Chennakeshava Temple built by Hoysala Empire in 1117 AD in Belur. Next visit Hoysaleshwara Temple a 12th-century Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva in Halebidu. Continue drive to Hassan check in at hotel.

Day 6 Hassan - Mysore (140kms)

Drive to Mysore via visiting Shravanabelagola one of the most important Jain pilgrim enters. Arrive & check in at hotel. Later visit Mysore Palace, Chamundeswari Temple, Nandi Bull, City Palace & St. Philomenas Church.

Day 7 Mysore - Bangalore (145kms)

Visit Lal Bagh Garden, Cubbon Park, The Bangalore Fort, Tippus Summer Palace & The Bull Temple. Also drive pass Vidhana Soudha & the Secretariat.

Day 8 Bangalore - Departure

As per flight schedule transfer to airport to board flight for onward destination.
