On Thursday, Nov. 9, students gathered in the field house gym during first block to witness the No Hate Tour’s exhibition: an anti-bullying address accompanied by BMX stunts.

No Hate Tour is an initiative founded in 2000 that combines the energy of action sports with bullying prevention methods and information for students nationwide. The program showcases top BMX athletes in their presentations, aiming to deliver messages that resonate with teens in an engaging, peer-to-peer manner.

“It’s important to talk about bullying and to make sure people know about it,” Awa Currier ‘25 said. “The way that [No Hate Tour presents] gets the message across better because they aren’t the same people we see every day, so we’re more likely to listen and to remember them.”

The athletes performed thrilling stunts, including soaring above Spanish teacher Sra. Badillo and Principal Campbell. This is the second time No Hate Tour has visited Westwood, the first being in 2021.

“I feel like the topics this year were a lot more relevant than when they came [my] freshman year,” Currier said. “[This exhibit is] a lot easier to listen to than a regular bullying assembly with a slideshow, [because] it is engaging and makes me want to listen to what they say.”

Taylor Swift Eras Tour 2024

As if your feed wasn’t already filled with enough Taylor Swift Eras Tour content, TikTok has launched a new in-app experience featuring a series of challenges for Swifties over the next 11 weeks. That, of course, is the number of studio albums Swift has released, with each LP getting its own themed profile frames and beads that will allow fans to make their own digital keepsakes.

Trending on billboard.

The effort is the follow-up to another Swift initiative TikTok launched in April in connection with the singer’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department , which allowed fans to celebrate the LP together ; according to TikTok, to date there are more than 3.2 million creator videos using the Tortured Poets hashtag.

In the meantime, Swift continues to pack houses across Europe on the Eras Tour, including during a gig in Cardiff, Wales on Tuesday (June 18), during which the singer performed the live debut of the Anthology edition of the Tortured Poets song “I Hate It Here,” which was paired with the Folklore track “The Lakes” during a mash-up in the acoustic section of the show.

Kendall Jenner Walked Barefoot Around the Louvre Museum, and People Are Losing It

no hate tour tiktok

By Elizabeth Logan

Image may contain Kendall Jenner Adult and Person

Kendall Jenner barefoot at the Louvre at midnight is giving me anxiety. No, that’s not the title of a new Lana Del Rey song, it’s a thing that happened.

The model , in Paris for Fashion Week and Vogue World , recently posted pictures of herself looking at some iconic artworks wearing a black top and skirt, and no shoes, captioning the photo dump “The Louvre at midnight.” No one else seems to be around.

On Instagram, reactions have ranged from impressed to disgusted, with one commenter writing, “We get it. You’re so filthy rich you can get the louvre to open at midnight just for you to walk barefoot around the historic halls. 😭😩,” but another admiring, “you know how powerful this woman is when she can have all the Louvre for herself in the middle of the night.” I mean, surely there are more pressing issues caused by wealth inequality than proximity to the Mona Lisa; like, if you’re at the Louvre at all, you’re probably already somewhat privileged, but I do get it.

Instagram content

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

More to the point, it’s a very high-trafficked choice for a Kendall Jenner barefoot moment.

“Dogs out at the louvre is crazy” commented one person. Amen. Despite being an absolutely beautiful city, Paris is, I’m sorry, really dirty! The Seine is super polluted , and remember last Paris Fashion Week when everyone got bedbugs ? The Olympics are gonna be a mess and I love it.

If you’re thinking of visiting the City of Light anytime soon, we highly recommend the Onitsuka Tiger sneakers that Jenner herself is fond of . They’re similar to the popular Adidas Sambas, but don’t look like every other pair of walking shoes every other tourist will be wearing. But the important part is that you wear shoes of some kind, any kind. Can’t stress this enough: wear shoes.

Ed Begley Jr. and Hayden Begley

Ed Begley Jr . has been Hollywood’s most famous environmentalist for nearly four decades, and now his daughter Hayden is helping him bring his message to Gen Z.

Related Stories

Film academy invites 487 to join including duncan crabtree-ireland, lily gladstone, chris silbermann and celine song, lucas bryant, bruce davison, michelle hurd to star in comedy movie '25 miles to normal' (exclusive).

“Once I realized I had built somewhat of a platform, I wanted to use it for good and try to put a good message out there besides just my funny family’s antics,” Hayden, 24, says of the videos. Ed has famously taken the Metro to Hollywood events for years, along the way instilling the importance of public transportation in his daughter from a young age. “I was like, ‘What if I did a series on public transportation in Los Angeles?’ Because it’s something that I feel like a lot of people don’t talk about in L.A. Public transportation lowers your carbon footprint by around 45 percent if you take it regularly. It’s an immediate climate solution we have at our disposal.”

Hayden has frequently posted videos of her and her father riding the Metro in the year since, emphasizing the ease and benefit of public transportation; she even started working for Metro CEO Stephanie Wiggins as a result.

She acknowledges that after the first Metro video, “I actually got some negative feedback from people who thought I was ‘playing poor,’ which I challenged by saying, ‘Why is there an association with someone’s income when this is a public good?’ It is a climate solution that is something that should be bolstered by everyone, so that everyone can take it no matter if they are dependent on it as their main source of transportation or not.”

For his part, Ed says that social media “has really been essential” to the environmental movement, pointing to the attention given to protests like that at Standing Rock. “People gather around and use the tools of social media to make it happen. It wouldn’t happen without it,” he adds. “It’s a wonderful time to use these tools for the best possible reason: to get people motivated, to get them informed and to get them to show up.”

The actor — who drives a Tesla when not taking public transportation — has had solar on his roof since 1990 and remains a climate optimist, as he now shares that hopefulness with TikTok.

“I know it gets bleak, and you go, ‘Why should I do anything? The coral reefs, the amphibians, the glaciers are melting, there’s nothing to be done,’” Ed says. “We’ve done some big, big things that seemed impossible to do; we’ve done them already. Let’s keep doing what we can. We may not save everything, but there’s still a lot that we can save. Let’s set about doing it.”

And when it comes to L.A.’s public transportation system — which is currently undergoing a major expansion ahead of the 2028 Olympics — Hayden also points out that “one of the biggest disparities we have between people in L.A. is [that] your ZIP code determines your health, and a lot of that has to do with pollution. A lot of freeways travel through communities of color that have been historically disenfranchised.”

She adds that for those who have a car and wouldn’t usually use public transport, “The focus that I would put on is A, you might be able to get there faster, and B, if you want to make a difference, if you want to even just put a drop in the bucket, I always say, take public transportation as a protest. I know a lot of my friends want to get out there and protest — you can take action by showing, even if it’s just for this one time, I’m not going to participate in a system that is hurting my neighbors.”

Justin Timberlake's arrest, statement elicited a cruel response. Why?

no hate tour tiktok

We need to talk about Justin Timberlake … said no one, the last few months, until he was arraigned on charges of driving while intoxicated last week. Yes, even after the release of sixth album "Everything I Thought It Was " earlier this year and the beginning of his world tour.

"We’ve been together through ups and downs, lefts and rights," Timberlake, 43, told fans in a video from his Chicago tour stop over the weekend,  posted by fan accounts.  "It’s been a tough week, but you’re here and I’m here, and nothing can change this moment right now."

He added: "I know sometimes I’m hard to love, but you keep on loving me and I love you right back. Thank you so much!"

We often feel for celebrities fighting excruciating, exhausting personal battles. Think Britney Spears , Lindsay Lohan , Robert Downey Jr. "Historically in the U.S., a widely reported episode of public intoxication has served as cultural shorthand for A-listers fallen on hard times," says David Herzberg , a University of Buffalo history professor and expert on illicit substances. "There is no general rule to how the media, and the public, reacts to this kind of fall."

In Timberlake's case, he hasn't received the same benefit of the doubt for his alleged behavior, despite his innocent Mickey Mouse Club and NSYNC youth. He screwed up apologizing to ex-girlfriend Spears and Janet Jackson, fumbling a joint apology in an Instagram post a week after the release of Hulu documentary "Framing Britney Spears." Several years ago, paparazzi caught the married Timberlake holding hands with another woman, not wife Jessica Biel. And who could forget the blaccent ? All of that aside, in today's technology-first world , Timberlake could've clicked a button to order an Uber and avoided the whole mess. A DUI in 2024 isn't quite the same as those that plagued the aforementioned "troubled" celebs of decades prior.

Given Timberlake's past – and perceived lack of authenticity in taking accountability for his actions – it's not shocking people aren't vouching for him, according to pop culture experts.

"In the case of someone like Justin Timberlake, where people watched him grow up and he had a fairly clean-cut image, people felt like they knew him and they were cheering him on as a person," says Amy Morin, psychotherapist, author of " 13 Things Mentally Strong People Don’t Do " and the host of a  podcast . "When news surfaces that reveals his private behavior isn't in line with his public persona, they're likely not going to be as forgiving."

Timeline: Justin Timberlake: What's next after his DWI arrest. Will he continue his tour?

Justin Timberlake 'doesn't apologize until he gets called out'

Timberlake's squeaky-clean image cultivated during his Mickey Mouse Club days didn't last too long following his tenure in NSYNC, and especially in a post- Me Too movement world.

"From stories Britney Spears has revealed during their relationship to the 'wardrobe malfunction' with Janet Jackson, people have gotten a slightly different view of Justin Timberlake over the years," Morin says. "The new information that has come about him has probably led to many people not having sympathy after his arrest." TikTok exploded into a frenetic field day of Timberlake videos, with more than 2.4 million posts with the hashtag #JustinTimberlake alone, many of them mocking and comedic in nature. Some were outright harsh, with videos inventing the singer's reaction, laughing at him or faking tears.

Perhaps Timberlake has, in many ways, become the face of white male privilege .

"His rise to stardom (particularly post-NSYNC) ripened from celebrity women like Britney Spears and Janet Jackson and illustrated how gender, misogyny, race and white male privilege operated in the entertainment industry," says Melvin Williams , associate professor of communication and media studies at Pace University.

People are stuck on his alleged lack of accountability . "He doesn't apologize for things until he gets called out or until he gets caught," Morin says, "which may raise suspicion about whether he's genuinely experiencing remorse."

And everyone likes experiencing a little schadenfreude , too.

"Justin could be seen – for many people – as the poster child for the privileged, pampered, insanely wealthy celebrity whose life seems full of pleasure and nothing but green lights," says Steven Fein , professor of psychology at Williams College.

'I know I’m hard to love': Justin Timberlake says it's been 'tough week' amid DWI arrest

'Some people will hate him, while others love him'

But it's not like no one showed up to his Chicago show.

"Some people will hate him, while others love him," says  Maryanne Fisher , a psychology professor at St. Mary's University in Canada. "The reception to his statement during the concert in Chicago showed how his loyal fans will overlook his poor behavior, and how much they believe in him."

Though it's not difficult to see why some people are rolling their eyes at his actions, either. "He hasn't really been on the top of his game or doing stuff that most people have been actively loving recently, and so it's an easy morality play," says James C. Kaufman , professor of educational psychology at the University of Connecticut.

Still, the situation poses interesting questions. Does being a celebrity grant someone extra grace to mess up? Are they worthy of forgiveness like anyone else?

That depends on the person – and maybe the veracity of the apology. "(Timberlake's) sentiment struck me as insincere and trying to gloss over the situation," Fisher says. "While we have to remember that he still needs to appear in court and thus, guilt has not been determined, perhaps for Timberlake saying nothing would have been better."

Taylor Swift Swallows a Bug — Again — While Singing and Asks Crowd for Help at 3rd London Eras Tour Show

“I swallowed a bug, can you sing?” Swift asked the audience during ‘All Too Well’ in Wembley Stadium

Taylor Swift knows the feeling of swallowing a bug onstage all too well.

On Sunday, June 23, while performing the 10-minute version of “All Too Well” at her third Eras Tour show in London, the 34-year-old superstar accidentally inhaled a bug.

As Swift sang, “And forget why I needed to,” she began coughing, then asked the Wembley Stadium crowd, "I swallowed a bug, can you sing?"

The blunder, captured on by video by TikTok user alexaelizabethh , is the second time this tour Swift has swallowed a bug . During a stop in Chicago in December, Swift said, "Is there any chance none of you saw that?" She then joked that it was "delicious" and took the moment in stride.

Despite being bugged in the middle of her show again on Sunday, the show must go on, and Swift powered through the minor mishap.

The bug that Swift swallowed wasn't the only unexpected guest who came onstage. During her Tortured Poets Department set, boyfriend Travis Kelce joined her dancers to assist with a costume change .

Kelce carried her across the stage to help Swift switch into her "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" jacket and heels. Travis was all smiles during his surprise appearance, looking dapper in a top hat and jacket.

Gracie Abrams also joined Swift onstage during the surprise songs segment of the show to perform her new song "Us," which features Swift.

Sunday's followed an eventful weekend in London. During her Friday concert, several famous faces showed up, including Prince William ,  Prince George ,  Princess Charlotte  and  Prince Louis . The royal family’s attendance doubled as a 42nd birthday celebration for Prince William.

The London shows were also a family affair in more ways than one.

Along with Kelce and the royal family, Travis’ brother Jason Kelce and sister-in-law Kylie Kelce , attended the show.

Kylie and Jason's Friday night appearance was the first time the Eras Tour . They were loaded with friendship bracelets , a tradition among Swift's fanbase. The beloved NFL couple looked grateful for the love from Swifties, who have embraced the Kelce family throughout Travis and the singer's relationship.

In a sweet moment captured on video by a fan at the concert, Jason, 36, is seen walking up to Kylie, 32, and excitedly showing off his new Swiftie stylings .

During the first show, Travis was spotted greeting Swift's dad, Scott Swift, as he made his way into the VIP section before Swift took the stage. Swift's mother, Andrea Swift, was also  spotted  in the reserved section as Travis arrived for the concert.

While it was Jason and Kylie's first show (and their second being the Saturday night performance ), this isn’t the first time Travis was seen attending Swift's record-breaking world tour.

Travis previously went to Swift’s shows in Paris, Sydney, Kansas City and Buenos Aires, where the singer famously sang,  “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me,”  as a nod to him. She sang those lyrics again in London.

Scottie Scheffler wins sixth PGA Tour title of the year after intruders disrupt play

Scottie Scheffler holds aloft the winner's trophy on Sunday at the Travelers Championship, his sixth PGA victory of the year.

  • Copy Link URL Copied!

Scottie Scheffler beat Tom Kim on the first playoff hole to win the Travelers Championship on Sunday — waiting out a disruption by intruders who sprayed powder on the 18th green for his sixth win of the year.

That’s the most in one PGA Tour season since Tiger Woods won six in 2009.

And Scheffler, the world’s top-ranked player, still has two months to go.

It was Scheffler’s fourth victory of the year in the PGA Tour’s $20-million limited-field, no-cut signature events, earning him a payday of $3.6 million. He also won the Masters and The Players Championship.

Scheffler closed with a five-under-par 65 for a four-day total of 22-under 258 at the TPC River Highlands. After the disruption on the 18th, which delayed play for about five minutes when police tackled the intruders, Scheffler left a 26-foot putt from the fringe on the edge of the cup and tapped in for par. Kim then made a 10-foot birdie putt to match Scheffler at 22 under.

The six people were protesting climate change. They came out of the crowd while the leaders were lining up their putts on the final hole of regulation. The protesters sprayed white and red powder, leaving stains on the green. At least one of the group was wearing a white T-shirt that said, “NO GOLF ON A DEAD PLANET.”

The hole location on the 18th was moved for the playoff to avoid the parts of the green affected by the intruders. Scheffler hit his approach to within 11 feet while Kim found a plugged lie in a greenside bunker. Scheffler two-putted for par and the victory.

“When something like that happens, you don’t really know what’s happening, So it can kind of rattle you a little bit,” Scheffler said.

“That can be a stressful situation, and you would hate for the tournament to end on something weird happening because of a situation like that,” he said. “Tom and I both tried to calm each other down so we could give it our best shot there on 18.”

Coming off a tie for 41st in the U.S. Open — by far his worst finish of the year — Scheffler trailed Kim by three strokes after the first round, by two after the second round and by one heading to the tee on Sunday.

Scheffler took a one-stroke lead over Kim with three straight birdies on Nos. 13-15 — he had putts for eagle on two of them. While Tom Hoge signed for a 62 to finish at 20 under, and Sungjae Im joined him there, Scheffler and Kim matched pars over the next two holes to set up the surprising finish.

Patrick Cantlay, Tony Finau, Justin Thomas and Akshay Bhatia tied for fifth at 18 under. Bhatia was also in the final group that was disrupted by the protest.

“I was scared for my life,” Bhatia said. “I didn’t even really know what was happening. ... But thankfully the cops were there and kept us safe, because that’s, you know, that’s just weird stuff.”

Scheffler and Kim share a June 21 birthday — Scheffler is six years older — and they celebrated with New Haven pizza before the tournament about 30 miles north. The birthday buddies and Dallas-area residents played together in the final group on Sunday, chatting and joking together.

“As much as I love him, I would have loved to take that away from him,” Kim said of Scheffler claiming the winner’s trophy. “But I’m happy for him, and after I tapped out, after he tapped out, he said some really nice words and it meant a lot to me.”

But only one of them could hold the trophy at the end.

And just like it’s been so often of late, it was Scheffler.

What is Cyberbullying?

Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place over digital devices like cell phones, computers, and tablets. Cyberbullying can occur through SMS, Text, and apps, or online in social media, forums, or gaming where people can view, participate in, or share content. Cyberbullying includes sending, posting, or sharing negative, harmful, false, or mean content about someone else. It can include sharing personal or private information about someone else causing embarrassment or humiliation. Some cyberbullying crosses the line into unlawful or criminal behavior.

The most common places where cyberbullying occurs are:

- Social Media - Text messaging and mobile apps - Instant messaging, direct messaging, and online chatting - Online message boards - Email - Online gaming communities

Protect Yourself from Cyberbullying:

- Always think about what you post. You never know what someone will forward. Do not share anything that could hurt or embarrass anyone. - Don't share your passwords with other students. Even students that seem like your friends could give your passwords away or use it in ways you don't want. Let your parents have your passwords. - Keep your parents in the loop. Tell them what you are doing online and who you are doing it with. They care about you and want you to be safe. - Talk to an adult you trust about any messages you get or things you see online that make you sad or scared. If it is cyberbullying, report it.

How to Deal with Haters

No Hate Tour Graphic

What is a Hater?

"Hater" is a label used to refer to people who use negative and critical comments and behavior to bring another person down by making them look or feel bad. These hurtful and negative comments can be delivered in person, online, or in texts and apps. Often, the comments and behavior are repeated over time. Haters are often anonymous (especially online) but they can also be acquaintances, peers, or people who were once considered friends. Hateful, critical behavior is another form of bullying or cyberbullying. Like bullying, hater behavior is something that a person does – it is not who they are, and it can be changed. Often, haters pick on people whom they perceive as being diffexent from themselves. Being the focus of negative and critical comments can be upsetting and trigger feelings of anger, hurt, and confusion, and cause the person being criticized to question their self-worth and behavior. If the negative comments are posted online, it can also make someone afraid to use their social media accounts or feel ashamed of what is happening there. Many children and teens don’t want to be a part of negative behavior like name calling, criticizing, bullying, and cyberbullying. Dealing with haters isn’t that different from dealing with bullying and cyberbullying. Teens who feel overwhelmed by all the drama on social media will often unfriend or unfollow people online to disengage.

How to Deal with Haters:

- Ignore it. Walk away. Don’t react or respond to negative comments. If it continues or if someone threatens you, report it to a parent, teacher, or other trusted adult. - Block online haters. If someone if making negative or hateful comments on your posts or account, or is cyberbullying, block them. If they are threatening you, tell your parents, report it, and take screenshots. - Be kind and respectful, even to haters. It shows that you are in control of your emotions and that you are not letting negativity bring you down. - Stick with supporters. Having a friend nearby if you think you might encounter a hater not only makes it less likely that an incident might happen, but also means you’ll have positive reinforcements just in case. - Remind yourself that comments from haters are reflections of them and aren’t really about you. People who feel good about themselves don't need to put others down. - Understand criticism can be a sign of pain. People sometimes lash out because they have other life struggles. Negative comments may have nothing to do with you. - - Acknowledge your feelings. Talk to a trusted adult or friend to get encouragement and support. - Keep being you. Keep moving forward, pursuing your interests, and being who your are.
