Dates announced for Bad Bunny's 'Most Wanted Tour' with Apr. 6 show at LCA

Bad Bunny

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Recording artist Bad Bunny has announced dates for the highly anticipated 2024 Most Wanted Tour — including a stop in Detroit on April 6 at 8:00 p.m. at Little Caesars Arena.

"After becoming the top touring artist in 2022, the 3x Grammy® winner took a break from the stages in 2023 with exceptions like Coachella, the Grammy® awards, and the Latin Billboard Awards. Promising to bring fans an unparalleled spectacle in 2024, the Most Wanted Tour will give attendees a more intimate experience than his previous tour and give life to his latest studio production with the legendary and high-energy stage presence he’s known for. With unprecedented success that has taken the world by storm, Bad Bunny's tour is expected to be one of the most sought-after concert events of the year," said Live Nation.

During the 31-city tour, Bad Bunny will be joined by Arcángel, Bryant Meyers, Feid, La Paciencia, Mag, Mora, Ñengo Flow, Tainy and Young Miko.

"The 31-city North America arena tour kicks off on Wednesday, February 21 at Delta Center in Salt Lake City, UT, with multiple nights in Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Francisco, Austin, Atlanta, Orlando and more before wrapping up with three consecutive performances at Kaseya Center in Miami, FL. In addition to Miami, the tour will feature three shows in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York. An experience curated for day-one fans, Most Wanted Tour will be a rollercoaster of explicit lyrics that hones in on the star's trap roots, so parental discretion is advised," Live Nation said.

Open now until October 23 at 2:59 a.m. Eastern, registration is strongly encouraged ahead of tickets going on sale. Randomly selected codes will be sent to registrants once registration closes to grant access to purchase tickets on October 25.

Bad Bunny is a three-time Grammy and nine-time Latin Grammy Award winning performer. His versatility as a genre-defying artist has catapulted him from Latin trap beginnings to global superstar. Since topping the Billboard Hot 100 with Cardi B and J Balvin on 2018′s “I Like It,” the Puerto Rican megastar has shattered all kinds of records.

In 2020, his third album El Último Tour del Mundo became the first-ever Spanish-language album to top the Billboard 200. That same year, he became Spotify’s most-streamed artist — the first Latin artist at the time to bear the distinction — repeating the feat in 2021 and 2022.

Bad Bunny’s crossover success has made him one of the world’s most in-demand live acts, and El Último Tour del Mundo 2022 became the highest-grossing tour by a Latin artist in Billboard Boxscore history. He shattered his own record on 2022′s World’s Hottest Tour, which grossed $435 million worldwide and became the highest-grossing Latin tour in Billboard history. (Ticketmaster)

bad bunny tour detroit

I've seen nine Bad Bunny concerts and here's what I thought of his Most Wanted Tour in Puerto Rico

One thing Bad Bunny is guaranteed to do in Puerto Rico is show out.

Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, also known as Bad Bunny , wanted to end the Most Wanted Tour where it all started – the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan. On October 12, 2023, Bad Bunny gave his fans a first listen to his new fifth studio album , Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, and teased that he was going to be back when they all knew the words. Eight months later, he did just that and performed three sold-out shows on June 7, 8 and 9 at the same venue.

Not only was it a full circle moment for him, but for me as well. I was there for the listening party and was also able to get tickets, with half a million people in queue, to see him perform it live in Puerto Rico all over again this past Friday.

After visiting my grandmother in Aguas Buenas with my cousin Jacky, she decided to drive us to the venue to not only see if people were already waiting outside the doors but to see if I was able to snag any exclusive merch he was selling for these shows. It was 88 degrees outside, no shade, and after thinking I was going to wait in line for 30 minutes, I waited close to 1.25 hours and was drenched in sweat. Thankfully, it paid off. I got the ACHO PR hat and the MWT Puerto Rican flag shirt in white, which had all three dates on the back.

I headed back to get ready with 1.5 hours to spare and then headed to the venue. I was not too worried about the show starting on time because Bad Bunny is known to start a little after the stated time on the ticket. While it was supposed to start at 8:30 p.m., started at 9:50 p.m. The concert kicked off with the a video created specifically for this weekend’s shows. The video showed him reflecting on the excitement of the earlier tour dates in the US but how he was excited to perform back home and give Boricuas a show like no other. If you have seen Bad Bunny perform, but not in La Isla del Encanto, then you really haven't – his words, not mine but I do agree.

There were two stages at opposite ends and a moving runway that descended from above. An orchestra, directed by Colombian musician Carlitos López, played on the opposite end that Bad Bunny would first appear. The orchestra opened the show with La Borinqueña, Puerto Rico’s official anthem. Goosebumps immediately came rushing through my body once I recognized what was being played and hearing everyone singing.

As the orchestra transitioned into the first song of the album, Nadie Sabe, Bad Bunny rose from a hidden opening in one of the stages and was surrounded by fog. All I remember was screaming from excitement, which then turned into screaming the lyrics of the six-minute song. The crowd was louder than ever.

I did not think the crowd could get any louder, but as the night kept going, it did. After finishing Monaco, the intro to Fina started to play, and guess who came out to join him? No other than, Puerto Rico's very own, Young Miko. This is my favorite song of the album and hearing it live with the two of them together was even better. Then came Mora for Hibiki.

Switching to the opposite stage, Luar La L came out for Telefono Nuevo confusing fans because we all thought one of the men on the horse with a mask on was Bad Bunny instead. Then came out Bryant Myers for Seda and Pa Ti. After performing his trap throwback, he got on the floating runway and performed Los Pits for the first time during this tour and others songs from the NSLQVPM album.

He then hopped to a piano to sing some slower songs and even brought it back to the X100PRE album. Not only was I shocked with the songs he performed for the first time, but when teasing a new one, the crowd would take over and not even let him sing. He was soaking it all in. Through out the concert, Bad Bunny could not stop smiling and thanking his fans.

Bad Bunny made it clear to fans when promoting this tour to not get our hopes up with him singing anything but trap, but he lied. Not only did he give us oldies on the piano, but he sang some from YHLQMDLG, El Ultimo Tour del Mundo and Un Verano Sin Ti. When I heard the beat to Moscow Mule, I lost it. I felt like the show could not have been topped after that but I was wrong.

Then Benito told the crowd that the next part of the show was Puerto Rico. The visuals of the stage changed to show the Puerto Rican flag and our lit-up lanyard boots turned blue, white and red. I knew what was coming but I was not ready for what I was going to experience. He performed a bit of P FKN R from YHLQMDLG and then ACHO PR from NSLQVPM but he was not alone for this one. Ñengo Flow came up the stairs performing his verse then De La Ghetto for the chorus and Arcángel came up for his verse before Bad Bunny's. When I tell you, the tears and goosebumps were real, they were real. This song was never on the set list, but again, in typical Benito form, I've learned to expect the unexpected when he's in Puerto Rico. The lights went off which only meant one thing, Bad Bunny was going to perform El Apagón. He was joined on stage with Bomba players onstage and cabezudos wearing the mask he's been wearing for this tour and album.

This was not the first time I experienced a Bad Bunny concert – ninth to be exact – let alone in Puerto Rico (I saw him in 2021 at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium), but this man never ceases to amaze me. If you have not experienced a Bad Bunny concert in Puerto Rico, add that to your bucket list.

Bad Bunny performing in Puerto Rico is a different experience

Starting May 10, artsy, high-concept pop star Melanie Martinez — who performs as her alter ego Cry Baby onstage — is kicking off her ‘Trilogy Tour’ at Seattle, WA’s Climate Pledge Arena.

Midway through the 35-concert nationwide tour, the 29-year-old “Play Date” singer and Queens native will drop into NYC’s Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, June 5 and Thursday, June 6 .

At all shows, fans will likely be treated to tracks from Martinez’s three albums — 2015’s “Cry Baby,” 2019’s “K-12” and 2023’s “Portals” — hence, ‘The Trilogy Tour.’

And if you want to see her ambitious stage show live, last-minute tickets are available for all upcoming shows.

Some are shockingly cheap, too.

At the time of publication, our team found tickets going for as low as $26 before fees on Vivid Seats.

When you factor in that she’ll be joined by high-profile special guests Men I Trust , Beach Bunny , and Sofia Isella on select dates, it’s easy to see how much of a steal catching the ‘Trilogy Tour’ live would be for any Cry Baby.

Curious how much tickets will cost at the concert closest to you?

We’ve got everything you need to know and more about Melanie Martinez’s 2024 ‘Trilogy Tour’ below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Melanie Martinez 2024 tour schedule

A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets can be found here:

(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. All prices are in US dollars, subject to fluctuation and include additional fees at checkout .)

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.

Melanie Martinez 2024 festival appearances

In addition to headlining at shows all over the U.S., Canada, and Europe, Martinez will also lend her talents to a trio of festivals this summer.

For a closer look, you can find all the information you need — who she’ll be performing with and where — below.

Melanie Martinez set list

In summer 2023, Martinez toured her latest album “Portals” all over the world.

If you didn’t make it out to see her live, this is what she performed at Radio City Music Hall last June, courtesy of  Set List FM :

01.) “DEATH” 02.) “VOID” 03.) “TUNNEL VISION” 04.) “FAERIE SOIRÉE” 05.) “LIGHT SHOWER” 06.) “SPIDER WEB” 07.) “LEECHES” 08.) “BATTLE OF THE LARYNX” 09.) “THE CONTORTIONIST” 10.) “MOON CYCLE” 11.) “NYMPHOLOGY” 12.) “EVIL” 13.) “WOMB” Encore:

14.) “POWDER” 15.) “PLUTO” 16.) “MILK OF THE SIREN”

Melanie Martinez new music

“Portals,”  Martinez’s third studio album, hit shelves on March 31, 2023.

Made up of 13 tracks, the record features Cry Baby’s — who’s reborn as a “pink-skinned, four-eyed fairy creature that’s stuck between Earth and the afterlife” according to  Rolling Stone  — signature breathy voice against trippy soundscapes.

Think Lana Del Rey meets creepy “Alice In Wonderland.”

After a few listens, our staff fell in love with the lush “VOID,” the pitter-patter of “FAERIE SOIRÉE” and the bounce of the xylophone heavy “SPIDER WEB.”

Mostly though, we’re bumping the album’s final song, the ultra-catchy “WOMB” on repeat.

In the event you haven’t listened yet, you can check out “Portals”  here .

Melanie Martinez special guests

At all shows, Martinez is bringing some high-profile opening acts to kickstart the festivities.

To make sure you’re familiar with their work, we’ve listed each artist’s most streamed song on Spotify below.

Men I Trust:   “Show Me How”

Beach Bunny:   “Prom Queen”

Sofia Isella:   “Hot Gum”

Melanie Martinez controversy

In 2017, the alt-pop star was accused of sexual assault and rape by her friend Timothy Heller over Twitter.

The following day, Martinez responded to the allegations saying they “horrified and saddened” her, and that Heller “never said no to what [they] chose to do together.”

“I know now that assault happens this way all the time,” Heller told  Newsweek . “I loved her even after it happened, and I had this sick need to protect her, which I’ve learned is very common for victims of assault, especially those hurt by their family or friends.”

A month after, Martinez dropped “Piggyback” on Soundcloud to respond to Heller’s claims. This year, Martinez’s feisty, sharp “BATTLE OF THE LARYNX,” on “Portals” addresses the allegations once again.

Young Thug Trial Chaos, Bad Bunny Baseball Battle, Phish Bong Drama & More Top Music Law News

In this week's Legal Beat, Young Thug's attorney clashes with a judge, baseball's union fires back at Bad Bunny, a Phish fan hears from MSG's lawyers over a bong hit and much more.

This is The Legal Beat, a weekly newsletter about music law from Billboard Pro, offering you a one-stop cheat sheet of big new cases, important rulings and all the fun stuff in between.

Justin Timberlake Told Police After Being Pulled Over He Had 'One Martini'

The big story: young thug trial goes off the rails, trending on billboard, other top stories this week….

BAD MONEY? Major League Baseball’s players’ union fired back hard at a lawsuit claiming it had discriminated against Bad Bunny ’s sports agency Rimas Sports — explaining (in great detail) how the company had, in fact, been penalized due to “egregious and systemic” violations of union rules against offering gifts to prospective clients. According to the union, those illegal “inducements” included a $200,000 interest-free loan to one ballplayer, and VIP tickets to Bad Bunny concerts to others.  PHISH FUED – A Phish fan who bragged about taking the “first bong hit to ever be ripped” in the Las Vegas Sphere — and posted a viral video of him doing so — received a letter from Madison Square Garden Entertainment’s lawyers permanently banning him from the venue and all other MSG facilities. Though MSG initially stuck by the decision, the company later backtracked after the story made headlines: “There was a breakdown in our process due to a change in personnel which resulted in the letter being sent inadvertently,” said a Sphere Entertainment spokeswoman in a statement. “This customer is not banned from our properties.”  KBJ x QUEEN BEY – When the U.S. Supreme Court’s nine justices released their annual financial disclosures, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson reported a cooler-than-usual line item : that Beyoncé had personally gifted her four concert tickets.  ‘ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT’ – Travis Scott asked a federal judge to end a copyright lawsuit accusing him of using unlicensed samples on Utopia and Astroworld from “Bitches Reply,” an oft-sampled 1992 track that’s previously been used by Lil Wayne , Cardi B , Kid Cudi and others. In their filing, Scott’s lawyers argued the only material the rapper allegedly copied were the words “alright, alright, alright” — and that such “stock phrases” do not have “even the minimal creativity required for copyright protection.”  MADONNA CASE *NOT* SETTLED – A bizarre exchange took place in one of the several lawsuits filed against Madonna over claims that she broke the law by delaying the starts of her concerts. Days after news of a settlement was filed in court by the plaintiff’s attorneys, lawyers for Madonna and Live Nation emphatically denied that any such deal had been reached and told a judge they “will not be harassed into settlement.” The case remains very much pending.  MOTOWN SINGER SUES HOSPITAL – Alexander Morris, the current lead singer of the legendary Motown group The Four Tops , is suing a Detroit-area hospital over allegations that staffers “assumed he was mentally ill” and put him in a straitjacket after he informed them that he was a famous musician. Morris claims he was sent for a psychiatric evaluation and deprived of necessary treatment for his heart infraction — until, that is, his wife showed up and staffers watched a video of him performing at the Grammys.  COUNTERFEIT COUNTERATTACK – With the problem of bootleg music merch continuing to grow, Billboard ’s Steve Knopper chatted with two companies that are fighting back using technological weapons like artificial intelligence, image-matching software and automated takedown notices.
