Pearl Jam is hitting the road this year, and the band hopes fans can come along without breaking the bank.

On Thursday, the rock group announced its 2023 U.S. tour, commencing at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., on Aug. 31. Pearl Jam said it is taking action to “continue to protect fans’ access to fairly priced tickets.”

The Grammy-winning group — comprised of Jeff Ament, Matt Cameron, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready and Eddie Vedder — opted to “make tickets non-transferable where permitted” and will sell “approximately 10% of tickets through PJ Premium at the market rate to offset increased costs.”

How Ticketmaster became the most hated name in music

Fans, politicians and even artists were complaining about Ticketmaster long before Taylor Swift filled stadiums. But experts say the anger may be misplaced.

Jan. 23, 2023

The announcement continued: “Tickets on this tour will continue to be non-transferable in all states except Illinois where it is prohibited by law. We apologize in advance to Illinois fans who may be subject to increased ticket prices on the secondary market.”

Nontransferable tickets make it less likely that buyers can flip their tickets for a profit by selling to third-party sites and scalpers.

Fans can register for Ticketmaster ‘s Verified Fan program before tickets go on sale on April 28 at 10 a.m. local time. Current Pearl Jam Ten Club members have access to the ticket presale.

Additionally, the band said it will implement “all-in pricing across this tour” in its ticket sales. This means that prices listed on Ticketmaster will include all processing fees “so there are no surprises at check out.”

In a statement shared with The Times Friday, Ticketmaster said it supports Pearl Jam’s efforts to be more transparent about ticket prices.

“Pearl Jam has always advocated on behalf of their fans and we hope more artists, teams and venues follow their lead and start using the all-in pricing display available on Ticketmaster,” Ticketmaster said. “It would be better for fans if all-in pricing was mandated nationally, but in the meantime we created the all-in display option to help fans see the full costs upfront.”

A ticketing practice known as ‘dynamic pricing’ caused some serious sticker shock for fans hoping to see the Boss on his 2023 tour.

July 29, 2022

Pearl Jam’s latest efforts to be transparent with its ticket sales and limit reselling come months after music fans took Ticketmaster to court.

In December 2022, Taylor Swift fans filed a lawsuit against Ticketmaster’s parent company, Live Nation Entertainment Inc., for alleged fraud, price-fixing and antitrust law violations while selling advance tickets to Swift’s Eras Tour.

An investigation by the Department of Justice and a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing rife with Swift lyrics followed a month later.

In March, fans of rapper Drake reportedly filed a lawsuit against Ticketmaster, accusing the platform of inflating ticket prices.

Pearl Jam has had its own issues with Ticketmaster. The quintet clashed with the platform several times over ticket fees in the 1990s.

As part of its U.S. tour, Pearl Jam will make stops in Chicago, Indianapolis and Fort Worth and Austin, Texas. Rock band Inhaler will join Pearl Jam for its shows in Chicago, Indianapolis and Austin.

“We can’t wait to see you out there,” the band wrote.

Eddie Vedder Onsale Powered by Ticketmaster Verified Fan ®

Ticketmaster Verified Fan is committed to getting more tickets into the hands of fans fairly, and at the prices set by the artist. While it doesn’t guarantee that everyone who is verified will get a ticket, it does level the playing field so more tickets go to fans who want to go to the show — not ticket bots. A simple registration is all it takes and this quick guide will walk you through all the details.

Registration

Registration is easy and only takes a few minutes. Follow these steps to get started:

  • Click here to go to the Ticketmaster Verified Fan custom registration page.
  • Sign in using your Ticketmaster account, or if you don’t have one, you can create one when you register.
  • Tell us what show(s) you’re interested in and submit your registration.

This is where Verified Fan really flexes its muscle to ensure that more tickets go to the fans who want to attend the show. Only those who are invited to the sale may shop using a unique access code. Here’s how it works:

  • The night before the sale — we’ll let you know if you’ve been invited to shop. The invitation process may vary from event to event, and invitations are based on demand and ticket availability. If you were invited, you’ll receive a text message to the number you provided during registration. Your text will include your unique access code and a link to shop. Keep an eye out for this text and be careful that you don’t accidentally delete it.
  • Before the sale begins , sign in to the same Ticketmaster account invited to the Verified Fan Presale at least 10 minutes before the sale for your show begins. Please keep in mind, you may only join the Waiting Room for the show(s) you were selected for and you must enter your access code exactly as it appears to access tickets.

Commonly Asked Questions

We receive a lot of questions about Verified Fan, so we thought it would be helpful to take the ones we get most and provide the answers all in one place.

Can I register more than once to increase my invitation status?

Only one registration is required, and registering more than once won’t increase your opportunity to receive an invitation. If after you’ve registered, you want to change the dates you selected, just come back and register with your new picks. We only keep the last registration you submitted.

I received a confirmation email, what does that mean?

This email is simply to confirm your details and that we successfully received your registration. It doesn’t, however, guarantee you’ll receive an invitation to shop. Once we get closer to the Verified Fan Onsale, you’ll receive an email with additional information about your invitation status.

Does registering mean I get a Verified Fan access code?

Access codes are never guaranteed, and due to anticipated demand and limited supply, fans are selected at random to receive an invitation to shop.

Does getting an access code mean I will get tickets?

Receiving an access code means that you’ll have the opportunity to shop for tickets. However, the ability to purchase tickets is determined by supply and demand, and is not guaranteed. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.

When is the Verified Fan Onsale?

The Verified Fan Onsale will begin on Friday, August 26, 10 AM PT.

If I am selected, how long do I have to shop for tickets?

While we suggest you purchase as soon as you are able, we understand there may be some planning involved. The Onsale will begin on Friday, August 26, 10 AM PT.

What is the ticket limit?

The ticket limit for the Verified Fan Onsale is two (2) tickets per show.

How can I get the seating map in advance?

Seating options vary depending on the event or venue and in some cases may not be available until tickets go on sale. Visit the event page on Ticketmaster to learn more about seating options and maps.

I got an email telling me that I’m on the Waitlist, what does that mean?

Due to extremely high demand and limited invitations, we are sometimes unable to confirm your access for the Verified Fan Onsale.

How will I know if I move off the Waitlist?

Keep your phone close by as your text notification can come at any time after the sale begins. When notified, you’ll receive two text messages: The first one has the link to the sale, and the second contains your unique access code. You’ll also want to closely watch your email just in case there are text delivery issues such as an incorrectly entered number or blocked carriers. In that case we’ll email your access code details to the address you use for your Ticketmaster account.

Eddie Vedder (born December 23, 1964) is an American figurehead of alternative rock hailing from Evanston, Illinois, U.S. He is known as the lead singer and guitarist of Pearl Jam and as one of the finest rock vocalists of all time.

Plagued by an unhappy, uncertain childhood, Vedder turned to music at an early age as a cathartic release for his worries. Drawn to the music of The Who’s 1973 “Quadrophenia” album, after settling in San Diego, California, the singer and musician joined a number of local bands including Surf and Destroy, The Butts, Indian Style, and the funk rock band Bad Radio. After becoming acquainted with Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ drummer Jack Iron, Vedder was invited to audition for a new band by Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament in Seattle. That band ultimately became Pearl Jam and released their debut album “10” in August 1991 on Epic Records. Aided by the singles “Alive”, “Even Flow”, and “Jeremy”, the album has sold over 10 million copies making it one of the most successful albums of the 1990s.

Vedder’s role in Pearl Jam’s success is of an indisputable nature and his songwriting and vocal prowess can be seen on all of Pearl Jam’s 10 album releases. On top of his Pearl Jam contributions however the singer-songwriter has crafted a host of soundtrack and compilation work including “Dead Man Walking” in 1995, “I Am Sam” in 2001, “A Brokedown Melody” in 2004, and “Body of War” and “Reign Over Me” in 2007. Also in 2007 Vedder provided the simplistic, heartfelt and folksy soundtrack to the Sean Penn directed film “Into the Wild”. His song “Guaranteed” subsequently won Vedder the Golden Globe award for Best Original Song, after which the singer embarked on his first solo tour in early 2008.

Continuing the simplistic theme of “Into the Wild”, Vedder’s sophomore solo album “Ukulele Songs” is a collection of simple original and cover songs performed on the ukulele. In addition, Vedder has contributed to the music of some of the highest profile music acts including The Who, Ramones, Neil Young, The Strokes, Cat Power, Bad Religion, and performed with the likes of Paul McMartney, Rolling Stones, U2, Jay-Z and Elvis Costello.

Live reviews

It’s that most relatable of woes again. You front one of the most commercially successful rock bands of the past twenty five years. A band that can be relied on to sell out arenas and stadiums the world over with their legendary blend of scything 90’s grunge rock and thunderous 70’s hard rock. However, just what is to be done when you want to take some time off from all that? The only way is down in terms of musical intensity and venue size but not necessarily in quality, as Eddie Vedder’s sojourn into ukulele led folk-rock magnificently shows. What’s more, it only gets better when he performs it live. Performing alone, for most part, on a stage strewn with ukuleles, acoustic guitars, suitcases and tape decks, Vedder captivates from the very start. That unmistakable voice more subtly deployed than in his day job but no less affecting. Playing songs from his two solo albums Ukulele Songs and the Into the Wild soundtrack dispersed with a multitude of covers that change from night after night, Vedder also finds himself joined onstage by a revolving cast of guests, artists like Roger Daltrey, Glen Hansard, Tom Morello, Cat Power and many more have performed with the Pearl jam frontman on stage and it’s electric every time. Even though you might know him best when he’s playing histrionic rock and roll, every side of Eddie Vedder is worth spending an evening with, and if you have any time at all for laid back folk then I can’t recommend a show of his enough.

It is pretty difficult to come away from a multi-platinum selling band capable of selling out arenas who are recognised around the globe and forge a solo career of your own that takes a different sonar appearance. This is exactly what Eddie Vedder has done, most commonly known as the lead singer of Pearl Jam.

Moving away from the grunge rock sound of the band, Vedder is more inspired by folk/rock and with ukulele in hand goes about entertaining the crowd with both his own work and inventive covers of his band's discography. There is quite an intimate attraction to seeing Eddie without the show of Pearl Jam and instead just taking to a relatively sparse stage with a few accompanying musicians. He goes about demonstrating the strength of his own recordings before reimagining 'Porch' and 'Man Of the Hour' all of which are received well by the devoted fans. Both the covers and solo work sound very unique to Vedder and once again shows his skill as a musician and his understanding of genre conventions.

Eddie is a class act. Great with the fans, giving away guitar picks via slingshot, always in a great mood, really enjoys playing and sharing his music as also admiring the historic venues in which he is given a chance to play live. He tries to speak a bit of the local language even though he sucks at it but aknowledges it with class and humor. Lots of great Pearl Jam material, epic covers and, of course, the best of his solo work. Creative, with great improvisation and great musical guests. From Porch to Unthought Known, to a symphonic, totally instrumental version of Alive, to Guaranteed and Without You, as also a lot of other classics like Can't Keep, Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town, Off he Goes, Immortality and legendary covers like David Bowie's Heroes, The Beatles' You Gotta Hide Your Love Away and, his apparent favorite: Neil Young's Rockin' in the Free World.

I attended the 2nd show Eddie gave in Amsterdam. After a hesitating start Eddie took over the Afas theatre only the way he can. Almost 30 songs in a bit more than 2 hours with some surprising covers and less obvious Pearl Jam songs. Sometimes he seemed a bit fragile and in his words to the audience there were jokes but also grieve was very present. Highlight for me was Man of the Hour in honor of his wife's grandfather.

Also the collaboration with the Red Limo Stringquartet was great, and even that great that they will be touring with him the next shows. Also the duets with Glen Hansard, even though he was in hospital all day because of a sore throat, were highlights.

Please keep on doing these kind of gigs next to Pearl Jam, and keep on amazing us.

I know realise how expensive tickets were, mine was one of the cheapest and it costed me 64 euros!!!

I can remember Pearl Jam's trial twenty years ago, against Ticket Master(which was selling tickets for this gig in Madrid yesterday by the way) , claiming for their tickets not to be more than 19.50 dollars, when Ticket Master was charging unethically 2 euros for management costs. Where are those times nowadays?

The concert was not any bad, but , once more, I got just astonished at the prices of merch: 30 euros a cotton

t-shirt!!! Ok , I think this is just going to be last time I go see Mr Vedder, guess he's grown up and forgot about his justice principles, BUT I HAVEN'T and I won't contribute no more to this incoherence.

Excellent intimate and personal experience with Eddie. Great crowd and atmosphere throughout the night!!

Glenn Hansard brought Dublin to the show and the Irish fans and visitors loved it...

Apart from the odd fool that drank too much and talked through aloud through some of the songs it was a very memorable night.

Highlight for me was Jeremy dedicated to UK election results and change in the world!!

I've always been a huge fan of Pearl Jam, but I confess I didn't really thought that Eddie could pulled a solo concert with that greatness. I was absolutely in awe with his concert at Firenze!

Imagine run a solo, acoustic concert, in a crowd of 55 thousand people, for over 2 hours, and let everyone in ecstasy? Well, he did it!!!!

Brilliant show. One of the best I've seen in the Marquee in Cork. Said it was his favourite visit to Ireland and it showed. Seemed like he was never going to stop. Good show by Glen Hansard as well - showed real camaraderie between himself and Eddie. Here's hoping he'll be back with Pearl Jam.

Eddie Vedder announces February 2022 US tour with backing band The Earthlings, featuring Andrew Watt, Josh Klinghoffer, Chris Chaney and Chad Smith

The star-studded lineup will commence the trek in New York, and wrap up with two back-to-back shows in Seattle

Eddie Vedder

Eddie Vedder has announced an eight-date US tour in February 2022 in support of his upcoming solo album, Earthling , and will be joined by a star-studded backing band.

Aptly named the Earthlings, Vedder's band for the trek includes Ozzy Osbourne producer Andrew Watt on guitar, The Frames' Glen Hansard on guitar and vocals, Jane's Addiction's Chris Chaney on bass guitar , Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, and ex-RHCP guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, who will also handle backing vocal and keyboard duties.

This won't be the first time Klinghoffer has performed with Eddie Vedder, as earlier this year, after officially joining Pearl Jam as a touring musician , the guitarist joined the band for their set at the Sea.Hear.Now festival in New Jersey's Asbury Park on September 18.

Kicking off February 3 at the Beacon Theater in New York, the tour will make stops Newark, NJ, Chicago, IL, and Los Angeles, CA, before wrapping up with back-to-back shows on February 21 and 22 at the Benaroya Hall in Seattle, WA.

Eddie Vedder's new album Earthling arrives February 11 via Seattle Surf/Republic Records. While the Pearl Jam leader released his first album Into the Wild – a collection of songs for the Sean Penn movie of the same name – in 2007, Earthling is his second solo album not linked to a film soundtrack, after 2011's Ukulele Songs .

Two singles have been released from the record, a beautiful acoustic ballad titled The Haves , and the more upbeat Long Way , which features Josh Klinghoffer and Chad Smith, as well as The Heartbreakers' Benmont Tench on the Hammond organ.

There will be no general sale of tickets for the Earthlings Tour, and public tickets will only be available through Ticketmaster Verified Fan Registration , which is open now through December 5.

Eddie Vedder

Last month, Eddie Vedder released a new project on Amazon Audible, entitled I Am Mine , which reflects on his life and achievements with Pearl Jam.

The audiobook sees Vedder recount the tragic events of June 30, 2000, when a crowd surge during Pearl Jam's set at the Roskilde Festival resulted in the deaths of nine fans.

“There was at least one person in the band, I remember, that thought maybe we should never play again,” he reflects.

“We all had to process something that we all went through as individuals, but also with the help of each other. Although I kind of disappeared into Europe – [I] had my own way of getting through it, which was taking Spanish guitar lessons from people who didn't speak English.

“That was just a way to focus and be around people that I couldn’t understand for the most part. And that way I was able to be around people, but since I didn’t really know what they were saying, it felt very peaceful and calm.”

At Ohana, the Earthlings performed two Earthling songs ("Long Way," which is No. 10 on the Billboard Adult Alternative Airplay chart this week, and "The Haves"), played a handful of Pearl Jam songs ("Porch," "Corduroy"), and experimented with covers of the Pretenders' "Precious," Pete Townshend's "Give Blood" and the Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go," among others. Vedder has also performed several solo songs, including songs from the soundtrack of the 2007 Golden Globe-winning film Into the Wild.

Eddie Vedder’s ‘Earthling’ Tour Launch Felt Like a Glorious ’90s Alt-Rock Fever Dream

By Andy Greene

Andy Greene

Just one song into Eddie Vedder ‘s Earthling tour launch at New York’s Beacon Theatre on Thursday night, he paused the festivities to look out at the capacity crowd and soak in the fact that he was finally back on the road after two endless years of waiting. “It’s great to be playing a show, but especially great to be playing show in a theater and especially a show at this particular cathedral so aptly named,” he said. “It feels like a sanctuary tonight, and it does feel like a beacon.”

eddie vedder beacon

It also felt like a sort of glorious Nineties alt-rock fever dream since he opened with a cover of R.E.M.’s 1992 classic “Drive” and his backing band contained Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Jane’s Addiction bassist Chris Chaney, and former Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer. Topping it all off, they were playing in front of two mannequins decked out like women in the Dude’s dream sequence from The Big Lebowski , a movie from the late Nineties about the early Nineties featuring yet another member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flea, in a supporting role.

But they weren’t there to hawk Clinton-era memories as if this was Eddie Vedder and His All Starr Band. The longtime friends came together last year to record Vedder’s excellent new solo LP Earthling , and this was their chance to unveil the songs to the public a little over a week before the record arrives. It meant hitting fans with a lot of new material, but the Pearl Jam faithful are adventurous and they seemed to relish the experience just as much as Vedder himself.

Before they delved into Earthling , Vedder and his band (which also featured singer-guitarist Glen Hansard and guitarist Andrew Watt, who produced Earthling ) played a moving rendition of the mournful Tom Petty tune “Room at the Top” followed by the Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun.” This was the final singalong moment before eight consecutive tunes from either Earthling or the recent Flag Day soundtrack. The energy in the house may have sagged a bit during some of the slower numbers, but anthemic tunes like “Long Way” and “Invincible” had fans singing along by their second choruses. And every song was a chance for Klinghoffer to show off his incredible chops, proving why Pearl Jam scooped him up shortly after the Chili Peppers pushed him out to make way for the return of John Frusciante.

If the band felt a little loose at times, even re-starting one of the songs after a shambolic first attempt, it’s because of madness of life during Omicron nearly derailed this entire tour. “I’ve gotta tell you, these past few weeks have been some of the most chaotic that I’ve ever experienced in all my years,” Vedder said midway through the show. “I don’t want to get into it, but people close to me got Covid. And then we had 12 practices scheduled, but only had three of them. Then the day we’re supposed to fly here, there’s a bomb cyclone. The lesson has been, through adversity we have come out the other side actually stronger.”

The familiar opening notes of Pearl Jam’s “Wishlist” were greeted by screams of ecstasy, and the band kept that energy going through the new songs “Brother the Cloud,” “Mrs. Mills,” and “Try,” which featured photographer Danny Clinch on harmonica. The main set ended with a transcendent, jammed-out take on Pearl Jam’s “Porch” that kept the crowd roaring until the band came back for encores.

They started with “Precious” by the Pretenders to add some “female energy” in the mix, and then went back to the Pearl Jam catalog for a tender “Better Man.” It led directly into a snippet of Patti Smith’s “People Have the Power.” The clock was ticking toward the Beacon’s curfew of 11 p.m. by this point, so they raced through George Harrison’s “Isn’t It a Pity” and Bob Dylan’s “All Along The Watchtower” to avoid overtime charges.

The tour wraps up Feb. 22 after hitting just five more cities. That’s very quick for a rock tour, but it will soon be time for Pearl Jam, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Jane’s Addiction to get back to work headlining festivals and packing football stadiums. It simply wasn’t practical for this mashed-up band to last longer than a few weeks. But let’s hope the end of the tour won’t mark the end of Eddie Vedder and the Earthlings as a live experience. They managed to create something very fresh and exciting with this show, and they should see where they can take it in the future.

Something Happened for the First Time Ever at Pearl Jam’s Seattle Tour Closer

A t the final stop of Pearl Jam ‘s North American tour, they treated their hometown Seattle fans to something that took place for the first time ever at one of their shows.

After playing 17 songs at their second night at the Climate Pledge Arena, Eddie Vedder walked out onstage alone to kick off an eight-song encore. This had the appearance of being something pretty typical as the singer has opened encores with solo acoustic performances at previous stops on the run.

Vedder’s song selection, however, was what made this night such a unique one. The frontman performed a solo acoustic version of Nine Inch Nails ‘ “Hurt,” but in the style of Johnny Cash ‘s legendary cover of that very song. It’s something that’s never been done at a Pearl Jam show before, although Vedder has played this rendition a handful of times at his own solo shows.

The solo performance was preceded by a heartfelt introduction as Vedder addressed the audience on the final night of the North American tour leg in support of Pearl Jam’s new album, Dark Matter .

“There’s no other guest list as big as the one as we have when we’re in Seattle,” Vedders softly says after lightly strumming his guitar for a bit. “San Diego, Chicago.. nope. Seattle,” he laughs before getting tender. “To be honest, I wish it were longer. There are certain names that I so deeply wish were on the guest list tonight, but we lost them too early and in ways we could never imagine. Damnit if I can’t stop thinking about them, but that’s a good thing too, I guess.”

The crowd claps in support and quickly become elated when they realize what song Vedder has just launched into.

Watch the fan-filmed performance below and see the full 25-song setlist from Pearl Jam’s tour closer further down the page.

Eddie Vedder House: A Closer Look at His Seattle Spread!

Sarah Paschall

Updated on November 17, 2022

  • Vedder is currently on a massive tour that’s taken him from Los Angeles to Canada and beyond.
  • Eddie Vedder has resided in the same Seattle home for nearly 3 decades.
  • Eddie Vedder is believed to be worth a staggering $100 million as of 2022.
  • Pearl Jam’s debut album, Ten, was certified 13X Platinum.

Eddie Vedder House

Eddie Jerome Vedder, aka Edward Louis Severson III, is an American singer and songwriter known for his role as lead singer and guitarist in the band, Pearl Jam. Vedder’s love of creating music began as a child, and he received his first guitar from his mother on his 12 Birthday. Eddie found comfort in music and admitted in his teens that music was all he had. Vedder was living on his own by his senior year of high school and ended up dropping out due to the pressures of balancing school with work. He would end up getting his GED and attending community college. In his spare time, Vedder performed with various bands such as Indian Style, which also featured Brad Wilk, aka the future drummer of Audioslave and Rage Against the Machine. Vedder was also part of the band Temple of the Dog, alongside former Mother Love Bone members Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament as well as Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell, Matt Cameron, and a newcomer, Mike McCready. Ament, McCready, and Gossard would go on to form Pearl Jam in 1990 and recruit Vedder as the lead singer – a pretty great choice given the success of Pearl Jam in the years to come. Now that we’ve went over a few essential things in Eddie Vedder’s past, it’s time to get to the fun stuff – like the Eddie Vedder home! Keep reading for all the juicy deets on Vedder’s real estate and more.

Where Does Eddie Vedder Live?

When not touring, Eddie Vedder usually spends his spare time at his home in West Seattle with his family. The rocker purchased the home just short of 3 decades ago and has lived at the residence ever since.

In addition to his Seattle digs, Vedder also owns land in Molokai, Hawaii. More on Eddie Vedder home below!

Eddie Vedder House Seattle

Eddie Vedder House Hawaii

Purchased in 1993 for $435,000, this idyllic home tucked away at the end of a quiet residential street has played host to Vedder and his family for decades.

Where Does Eddie Vedder Live?

Vedder put thousands into renovating the home, built in 1982) over the last 16 years – and it has paid off! The residence boasts 4 bedrooms and 2.5+ bathrooms as well as 6,450 square feet of living space.

Where Does Eddie Vedder Live?

Out back, a large stretch of yard leads down to a swimming pool and poolside cabana at the end of the property. While rumors did circulate that Vedder had planned to move out years ago, he still owns the home as of 2022.

Eddie Vedder House Hawaii (Former)

According to Dirt, Eddie Vedder owned a 1,824 acre plot of land in Kaunakakai, Molokai, Hawaii. The longtime rocker has spent the majority of his time between Seattle and Hawaii over the years.

Where Does Eddie Vedder Live?

Given Vedder’s love of surfing the big waves, it’s no surprise he’d own properties in a surfer’s paradise like Hawaii. The farm on the property is used to grow everything from macadamia nuts to limes and mangos!

Where Does Eddie Vedder Live?

In 2020, Vedder reportedly put the land on the market for $3.99 million. As of 2022, the acreage is still up for grabs at the same price.

It’s rumored that Vedder owns more properties on the island, but local records don’t put his name to any other address in the area.

Eddie Vedder Band

As previously mentioned, Eddie Vedder is the lead singer of the hit rock band, Pearl Jam. The band originally formed under the name, Mookie Blaylock, but were forced to change the name once they signed with Epic Records in 1991. The title of their debut album, Ten, was meant to represent Blaylock’s jersey.

Eddie Vedder Band

Ten was the album that brought Pearl Jam into mainstream status and ended up going certified 13x platinum. Only 2 years after forming Pearl Jam, the band’s talents would be recognized at the MTV Video Music Awards when they received not 1, but 4 different awards at the 1993 event.

Eddie Vedder Net Worth

Pearl Jam front man Eddie Vedder has amassed a whopping net worth of approximately $100 million as of 2022!

Eddie Vedder Family

Eddie’s family situation was the definition of complicated as a child. His parents, Edward Louis Severson Jr and Karen Lee Vedder, separated in 1965 – only a year after Eddie was born. Vedder’s mother would go on to remarry a man by the name of Peter Mueller and raise Eddie to believe this was his biological father.

Karen and Peter would eventually split as well, and Eddie would continue living with his step-father in California while his mother and siblings moved back to Chicago.

After their split, the truth of Vedder’s real father would be revealed, and Eddie had actually been introduced to his biological father as a child but believed the man was simply a family friend. Sadly, by the time the truth unraveled, Eddie’s father had passed from Multiple Sclerosis.

Eddie Vedder Wife

Eddie Vedder’s first wife was Beth Liebling, whom he married in 1994. Liebling is also a musician and was part of the experimental Seattle-based band, Hovercraft.

Eddie Vedder Wife

Review: Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam hit another gear in Seattle on night 2

Michael Rietmulder

Concert review

There are moments when artists completely give in to the song. Like some combination of muscle memory and meditation, the mind is free to dance with the internal flame that drives them to become artists in the first place, trusting that the body will know what to do.

Sounds corny, but the best performances often come from this place.

On what he deemed “ a historic day ,” Eddie Vedder spent much of Thursday’s tour-capping homecoming show operating from this plane — his internal flame lit up like a bonfire for the sold-out Climate Pledge Arena crowd to warm in the glow.

The lord of vibrato’s melismatic flourishes flickered like comet trails across an anthemic “Jeremy,” one of the darkest hits in modern rock history, which blew up in a joyful supernova on Thursday. With seemingly unconscious precision, Vedder landed surprise uppercuts, his voice surging on unexpected syllables, before rumbling through a rough-and-tumble bridge toward the end.

As was the case with Pearl Jam’s 2018 Home Shows and, to a lesser extent, Vedder’s solo shows at Benaroya Hall in 2022 and 2023 , the frontman seemed looser and fierier on the second of Pearl Jam’s two Seattle shows, whether it was the extra night in his own bed, the red wine going down a little smoother or the jolt of Thursday’s headlines .

At any rate, night 2 Eddie and the band, rounded out live by longtime touring mate Boom Gaspar on keys and ace utility player Josh Klinghoffer, threw extra heat on songs like “Waiting for Stevie” before Vedder made an impassioned speech about political division on the day Donald Trump became the first U.S. president to be convicted of a felony.

“I was thinking about this the other night, to look around and to see you all and to see this crowd, our town, our neighborhood, our city,” Vedder said. “We pass each other in our cars, bringing our kids to school, going to the grocery store. We’re in the car next to you. … These kind of nights our commonality is music, but every day our commonality is life. … To have the ability and the microphone to communicate, it’s not a gift, it’s a responsibility, and we would like to use it to say, damn it, we’re being divided. And we should not be. We should not be. With all this chaos, we need to come together amongst all the chaos. It’s insidious. We can’t let it happen and we should refuse to be used by a desperate politician — any politician.”

While his words were chosen to not directly draw political lines, they drew even louder applause in reliably lefty Seattle than the standing ovation local indie rockers Deep Sea Diver received earlier with another sublime opening set. Whatever Pearl Jam’s crew did under that historic roof this week to deliver the best-sounding shows in the arena’s young history, leave a note in the dressing room for the out-of-towners, eh?

Known for their shake ‘em up set lists, Pearl Jam once again anchored the show around “Dark Matter” material, with the new stuff comprising a little more than a third of the roughly 2 1/2-hour set. (“Alive” was the only repeated classic from Tuesday.)

The most stunning surprise came after a short set break when Vedder returned to cover Johnny Cash’s acoustic take on Nine Inch Nails’ “Hurt.” The man in black’s subtle “I wear this crown of thorns ” lyric tweak felt like a serendipitous nod to the late Andrew Wood of Mother Love Bone, the Pearl Jam antecedent whose best-known song was “Crown of Thorns.”

“You can guess that … in any other city, there’s no other guest list as big as the one when we’re in Seattle,” Vedder said, introducing the arresting number. “San Diego, Chicago, nope. Seattle. And to be honest, I wish it were longer. There are certain names that I so deeply wish were on the guest list tonight, but we lost ‘em too early and in ways that we could have never imagined — and damn it if I can’t stop thinking about ‘em. But that’s a good thing, too.”

Seated alone in the spotlight, Vedder’s voice ached with a half-growl half-whisper, singing to a city that feels the same. His bandmates subtly rejoining him for a chilling “Inside Job,” the crowd erupted as the camera flashed the back of drummer Matt Cameron’s shirt, which bore the visage of his fallen Soundgarden mate Chris Cornell. It was the weepiest stretch of Pearl Jam’s otherwise celebratory debut at Climate Pledge Arena, which could be the start of something special.

The idea of Pearl Jam doing an extended residency at the sparkling hockey pyramid was out there even before developers the Oak View Group — whose allegedly cozy relationship with Live Nation-Ticketmaster drew some federal heat in the Department of Justice’s antitrust lawsuit against the live entertainment power last week — won the contract. OVG CEO Tim Leiweke may have put the cart before the horse when publicly discussing the prospects during the bidding process. But as he seemed to on Tuesday, Vedder at least flirted with the idea on stage.

“I’m just taking a second because, goddamn it, we might not play in Seattle again for a while, but I’m gonna have a drink and enjoy it,” he said, grabbing some vino before thanking Tim and Tod Leiweke and other Kraken and Climate Pledge Arena brass. “They did say that we can play any time we want and they’ve made it pretty nice for us, so this could be something maybe we do more often. Tuesdays at Climate Pledge or something like that, Thursdays.”

We’ll work on the name, Ed, but fans clearly liked where your head’s at.

Who knows if anything will ever materialize from the words of a guy running on red wine and adrenaline, soaking in that hometown embrace for 2 1/2 hours. But considering the band’s legion of travel-happy fans and the fact that we’re living in the age of Swifties flying overseas to see their queen, if this former C+ economics student was running Seattle’s tourism bureau, I’d be feeling pretty good.

Bradley Cooper Surprises Pearl Jam Concert For 'A Star Is Born' Duet With Eddie Vedder

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Bradley Cooper just wanted to take another look at you.

The Oscar-nominated actor stunned thousands Saturday after joining  Pearl Jam onstage at the annual BottleRock Napa Valley music festival to perform “Maybe It’s Time” from his directorial debut, 2018’s “ A Star Is Born ” — in a dulcet duet with frontman Eddie Vedder .

“Please, would you join me in welcoming to the stage my great, great pal Bradley Cooper,” the iconic singer announced as Cooper emerged , per footage captured from the crowd.

“How’s everybody doing?” Cooper asked fans before they sang the Jason Isbell song.

The performance was shared across YouTube and social media platforms like X , formerly Twitter, to viral results overnight . Cooper famously wrote and directed the acclaimed film containing the song, and previously struggled with alcoholism like his character.

The drama chronicles fictional rock star Jackson Maine (Cooper) falling in love with an amateur singer named Ally ( Lady Gaga ), who becomes his protégé and eclipses Maine — as he tragically continues to spiral into substance abuse .

While it earned eight Oscar nominations and grossed more than $436 million worldwide, Vedder was admittedly worried when Cooper reached out for advice before filming — as he was remaking an original 1937 film that had already been tackled twice at the time.

“I went up to Seattle and spent four or five days with him and I asked him 9,000 questions,” Cooper told Yahoo Movies in 2018 , adding that Vedder was “wonderful” and shared “minor, little things that only musicians know about” but still felt a remake “was crazy.”

“He was like, ‘What? Bro, don’t do that,’” Cooper laughingly recalled at the time.

The result not only outgrossed every prior iteration combined but earned Gaga her first Oscar in a history-making moment — and resulted in a chart-topping soundtrack that sold millions . Vedder reflected on all this during a cathartic 2020 interview with Howard Stern.

“When I saw it, I just was fucking blown away,” said Vedder at the time . “It just … took me there and what he can do with his eyes and what they [Cooper and Gaga] did together, and then Sam Elliott . I mean, it really took me there. I’m getting chills right now.”
