Rob Beckett & Josh Widdicombe ’ s PARENTING HELL LIVE

Due to phenomenal demand, more Arena dates have been added to the Parenting Hell Live Tour: Nottingham Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff Motorpoint Arena and London’s OVO Arena Wembley.

After an incredible 100 million downloads the smash hit, consistently chart-topping Parenting Hell podcast will hit the road with live shows at arenas including: Manchester Arena and London The O2, in April 2023.  Rob and Josh’s podcast continues to be one one of the most popular in the UK, with millions downloading every week and their book Parenting Hell is a Sunday Times Best-seller.

Twice weekly, since April 2020, comedy pals and Sunday Times best-selling authors (individually and jointly), Josh Widdicombe and Rob Beckett have been bringing together fellow parents to share the highs and lows of being a parent in these times, providing a comedy lifeline for so many people all ages, including many that don’t even have kids.  Each week they’re joined by a well known parent to share their often hilarious, sometimes horrifying, stories about how they cope.

Previous guests include: Louis Theroux, Paloma Faith, Katherine Ryan, Peter Crouch, Fay Ripley, Michael McIntyre,  Judi Love, Jonathan Ross, Daisy May Cooper, Jack Dee, Robbie Williams and Alison Hammond.

Rob said:  I am absolutely buzzing to go on tour with Josh. After two years of being locked up in my house with the kids all I can think of is that empty quiet hotel room after the show. As well as the shows themselves. The shows are going to be great but also waking up when I want and having breakfast in silence. But also the shows which are gonna be really great. We will be live and unedited. All the stuff we can’t say and do on the podcast will be happening on that stage and I cannot wait.

Josh said: I have no idea how this has happened in my career, last time I checked me and Rob were cool young comics about town. Now we are two middle aged blokes complaining about our kids. Despite this I can promise this will be the best show that features two dads grumbling to ever play Britain’s arenas.

GIRAFFE : UK TOUR 2024-2026

rob beckett josh widdicombe tour

Bobby Beckles, one of the UK’s finest comedians, is back on tour in 2024!  He’ll be out on the road, smashing the life out of the M25, M1, M5 and any other road that’s in his way.

Star of the consistently chart-topping podcast Parenting Hell, Sky’s Rob And Romesh Vs and Celebs Go Dating , Rob will bring his brand new show Giraffe everywhere, from Bromley to Brisbane, ensuring his audiences laugh and forget about their problems for a couple of hours.

Rob said: ‘ This is gonna be a big old tour. It ’ ll be tough being away from the family for a while. Don ’ t get me wrong I love my children/podcast content providers but I do also enjoy a lie in and a hotel buffet breakfast.  So I ’ m sure I ’ ll cope. I expect to put on about 3 stone from takeaways and drinking after the shows ’

Parenting Hell The Book

rob beckett josh widdicombe tour

Rob Beckett & Josh Widdicombe, hosts of the No.1 smash hit podcast Parenting Hell, have signed a publishing deal.

Focusing on the madness, absurdity and utter chaos of being a parent, the  Parenting Hell  book will publish in October 2022 in hardback, ebook and audiobook, and will feature some special guests.

With a massive 55 million downloads to date, it’s one of the biggest podcasts in the UK with 3.5 million downloads per month.

The book   Parenting Hell  sees Josh and Rob share the challenges and madness of their parenting journeys with lashings of empathy and extra helpings of laughs. Filled with all the things they never tell you at antenatal classes, it’s a charming mixture of humour, rumination and conversation and is aimed at prospective parents, new parents, old parents and never-to-be parents alike.

Rob says; “ For all those people out there with hot tired ears. It’s time to give your eyes a run out. There’s loads of new stories about our kids and failures at life. Plus you will hear from my parents and Lou. Mainly to take the pressure off me with the word count. It’s a family affair.”

Josh says “Now we have been given a book deal it is probably the time for me to admit to myself that complaining for an hour a week to Rob about my life has become the most successful thing I have done in 14 years in comedy. I can only imagine how much people will love it now they can read our moaning in book form rather than having to hear it coming from our annoying accents”

Parenting Hell Live

Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe will be bringing their hit podcast to The AO Arena in Manchester on Friday, 14 April 2023 and The O2 in London on Friday, 21 April 2023. With nearly 50 million downloads, the chart topping podcast has seen them discuss the highs and lows of parenting (and life).

A Class Act

rob beckett josh widdicombe tour

Rob Beckett never seems to fit in. At work, in the middle-class world of television and comedy, he’s the cockney geezer but to his mates down the pub in south-east London, he’s the theatrical one, a media luvvy. Even his wife and kids are posher than him.

In this hilarious exploration of class, Rob tries to understand the life he lived growing up as a working-class kid in comparison to the life he lives now. Will he ever favour a craft beer over strong lager? When did it become normal for kids to eat sushi? Is he still working class? Why does he feel so embarrassed about success? And, will it ever be acceptable to serve pie mash on a wooden board?

Tackling the questions big and small , A Class Act  is a funny, candid, often moving account of what it feels like to be an outsider and why actually that’s the best (slightly awkward) place to be.

Rob Beckett says: ‘I am so excited to announce that I have written a book. I have actually written it myself with no ghost writer, just me! I never thought it would be possible but I have done it. My incredibly well educated and beautiful wife (the beautiful part is true but mainly included for brownie points) has said and I directly quote from her “It’s actually a really good book. I thought it was going to be terrible and I would have to lie to you about it but it’s actually great”. I’m claiming that as the best review I will ever receive. I have been in lockdown for over a year with Lou and she pretty much hates me and everything I stand for. So the fact she thinks this book is great speaks volumes. Please buy it immediately as it’s taken me fucking ages.’

‘Ace observationalist’ (The Guardian) Josh is a household name. He’s starred in 30 series of the multi award-winning Channel 4 series The Last Leg, as team captain on Sky Max’s brand new show Rob Beckett’s Smart TV, and alongside Nish Kumar on Hold the Front Page, which will return for a second series this year. Josh has also had multiple appearances on Hypothetical, QI, Live at the Apollo, A League of Their Own, Have I Got News for You, and Taskmaster to name a few, as well as performing onstage at the Royal Albert Hall for the Royal Variety Performance.

Josh co-hosts the hugely popular podcast Parenting Hell with Rob Beckett, which they took on the road in 2023 to arenas up and down the country. The success of the podcast led to the release of the Parenting Hell book which topped the Sunday Times Bestseller Charts. Josh is also host of cult 90s podcast Quickly Kevin, Will He Score? which has gone on to sell out multiple live shows and will have its final show at the London Palladium in May 2024.

2021 saw the release of Josh’s first book, a childhood memoir, about growing up watching far too much TV in the 1990s. Watching Neighbours Twice a Day… How ’90s TV (Almost) Prepared Me for Life was a Sunday Times Bestseller.

His last stand-up tour Bit Much… culminated in a night at the iconic London Palladium and aired on Channel 4 in summer 2022.

Josh will also feature in Big Lizard, the new animated comedy adventure coming to CBeebies this year.

‘The sort of gentle confidence, low-key charisma and one-for-all-the-family charm which could see him selling out enormous stadiums in a couple of years’ The Times
‘Ace observationalist Josh Widdicombe has the ability to find the sparkle in the mundane that puts him in line to be the next Sean Lock’ The Guardian
‘His talent for comedy is priceless’ The Evening Standard
‘Shaping up to be the British Seinfeld’ London Is Funny
‘This is one of the most individual, accomplished, hilarious and unforgettable hours I have had this year’ The Scotsman

Terms and conditions apply, see below for more information.

The madness, absurdity, and utter chaos of being a parent from comedians Rob Beckett & Josh Widdicombe, hosts of the No.1 smash hit podcast.

What's it really like to be a parent?  And how come no one ever warned Rob or Josh of the sheer mind-bending, world-altering, sleep-depriving, sick-covering, tear-inducing, snot-wiping, bore-inspiring, 4am-relationship-straining brutality of it all? And if they did, why can't they remember it (or remember anything else, for that matter)?

And just when they thought it couldn't get any harder, why didn't anyone warn them about the slices of unmatched euphoric joy and pride that occasionally come piercing through, drenching you in unbridled happiness in much the same way a badly burped baby drenches you in milk-sick?

Join Josh and Rob as they share the challenges and madness of their parenting journeys with lashings of empathy and extra helpings of laughs. Filled with all the things they never tell you at antenatal classes, Parenting Hell is a beguiling mixture of humour, rumination and conversation for prospective parents, new parents, old parents and never-to-be parents alike.

Love the Podcast

Love my weekly time with my English Boys I’m in Australia. Been listening since the very early days my kids are now nearly adults but love hearing your takes if your busy lives with little kids. BUT just you wait the Teenage years are still to come for you. Keep being sexy and relatable. Thank you

Love the parenting hell podcast

Thanks Rob and Josh for the refreshing honesty and agony of being a parent. I’m sans kids and I love the podcast.
… descended into big boy bantering, too much gratuitous swearing and cross promotioning. Less and less about the kids, and how families ( of all sorts ) are working and managing (or not). You’ve lost me 🙁
