ROSE PARADE TOUR PACKAGES WILL INCLUDE

Our clients have been happy with all three hotels for past events.

The Millennium Biltmore Los Angeles is a full service hotel in downtown Los Angeles. The Biltmore has been home to Presidents , Kings , and Hollywood celebrities. 

The Sonesta Redondo Beach is  9 miles South of The LAX Airport and directly across the street from the Marina and nice restaurants. The Sonesta has a rooftop swimming pool with a panoramic view of The Pacific Ocean.

The Huntley Hotel Santa Monica   which is a short walk to the ocean, Santa Monica Pier and the 3rd Street Promenade where there are many restaurants, cafe’s   and entertainment areas.  The Huntley has a really nice restaurant and lounge on the top floor of the hotel with a panoramic view of the ocean. Santa Monica is ten miles North of The LA Airport and is three miles from Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive.

• January 1 – Admission to a large float decorating barn in the city of Irwindale. You will see approximately 10-12 floats being worked on and finished before they are judged.
• January 2- Reserved Grandstand Ticket to the 2023 Tournament of Roses Parade . Our grandstand seat location is 10 minutes from the front of the parade with the sun at your back . The seats are located at 318 West Colorado. We are in a large grandstand where the bands are normally playing. Our buses park 20 yards from the parade seats . Your parade seats can be assigned when your reservation is made and we can accommodate any special requests.
• A nice sit down lunch at a restaurant in Pasadena after the Rose Parade.
• Post float viewing at Victory Park   after the conclusion of the parade and lunch. You will be able to walk around Victory Park  and see the floats up close.
• Transportation to and from all of the events on deluxe motor coach  buses with a restroom.

Rose Parade

• A TRIP FOR THE AGES

Three nights starting on December 30 and departing on January 2. ( extra nights are available) You do NOT need to stay near the airport, with our hotel options. Please remember this when comparing packages

• January 1- Reserved Grandstand Ticket to the 2025 Tournament of Roses Parade aka The Rose Parade. Our grandstand seat location is 10 minutes from the front of the Rose Parade with the sun at your back . The seats are located at 318 West Colorado. We are in a large grandstand with the best rows for viewing the parade. The bands are playing in front of us as they like to play in front of the larger grandstands and take a break in front of the smaller seating areas. Our buses park 20 yards from the parade seats . Your Rose Parade seats can be assigned when your reservation is made and we can accommodate any special requests.
• Post Rose Parade float viewing tour at Victory Park after the conclusion of the parade and lunch. You will be able to walk around Victory Park and tour the parade floats up close. ALL OF THE FLOATS ARE IN ONE LOCATION.
• Transportation to and from all of the events on deluxe motor coach  buses with a restroom.
• A grab and go continental breakfast prior to departing for the Rose Parade.
• Approved Clear bags for the ladies to bring their belongings into Victory Park.

Float Decorating Barn

DECEMBER 31 – You will be visiting the Phoenix Decorating Barn in the city of Irwindale. Phoenix Decorating is the largest float builder in the parade. You will see volunteers working on the floats. The fee is $100 per person and includes: admission, transportation, and a grab and go lite breakfast to take with you on the bus.

DECEMBER 30 – You will be visiting the Phoenix Decorating Barn in the city of Irwindale. Phoenix Decorating is the largest float builder in the parade. You will see volunteers working on the floats. The fee is $100 per person and includes: admission, transportation, and a grab and go lite breakfast to take with you on the bus. (You would need to arrive on DECEMBER 29th for this option, so you would need an extra night added to your package.)

**My humble opinion, going to the barn on December 30 is a better experience than on December 31 but both experiences are nice.

DECEMBER 30 – Catch a sneak peek of some of the Rose Parade Bands as they perform their halftime show. This event is held at the Pasadena City College. The fee is $125 per person and includes admission as well as transportation. (You would need to arrive on December 29 or arrive to the Hotel by 11am on December 30 for this event)

DECEMBER 30 – Combine The FLOAT BARN in the morning with a few hours in OLD TOWN PASADENA with BANDFEST in the afternoon. The fee is $180 per person. When the group is finished at The Float Barn we will drop you off in Old Town Pasadena for 2.5 to 3 hours where you can walk around and get a bite to eat on your own. When we are finished in Old Town Pasadena we will proceed two miles to BANDFEST. The pre show starts at 1:30PM , the main show starts at 2PM ,  The show normally lasts close to 2 hours and then we return to the hotel.

DECEMBER 31 –  Approximate times- 8:45AM- 4PM,  The tour will have 4-5 stops along the way and stop for Lunch AT FARMERS Market. The fee is $125 per person.  Lunch is not part of the $125 fee.

The Rose Parade

Beautiful Pasadena California is home to the Tournament of Roses Parade . More commonly known as The Rose Parade. The Rose Parade has been around since 1890. It occurs annually on new years day, or on Monday, January 2 if New Year’s Day falls on a Sunday. Now, Diamond Travel hasn’t been going to the parade since then, but we have  been taking folks to the parade for over 35 years! Our seats will have the sun at your back and the parade in your view! The parade has followed the famous Colorado blvd for decades. Tickets to the rose parade start at about $80 and can be as expensive as, $120. Hotel and transportation costs however, can be extremely pricey. With our all inclusive packages, you won’t have to worry about the mounting costs of such a trip. We have it all planned out for you! The Rose Parade is absolutely back in full swing now, so call today and get your all inclusive rose parade package with Diamond Travel. Payment can be made with a credit card or a check in the mail. Place a $250 per person deposit to secure your packages. Final payment is due October 1. You can cancel for a full refund until October 1 and then the trip is non refundable. Deposits & Final Payment

Deposits and fees for the optional Protection Plan or Cancel Fee Waiver [CFW] coverage are due at time of booking.

The deposit amount is $600 per person

Final Payments:

Final Payment is due to Tauck  90  days before departure for lands trips, and  120  days before departure for cruises and rail journeys. If your deposit was made by credit card, final payment will be automatic unless you opted out at time of booking. Bookings without full payment at this time may be subject to cancellation without notice. Failure to make payment will be a considered a cancellation by the guest and all applicable cancellation fees will apply.

Tauck's Event Protection Plan provides you with cancellation protection before your journey begins as well as insurance benefits while you are traveling. Guest Protection includes the following:

Cancellation Waiver – Provided by Tauck:

Under Tauck's Cancellation Fee Waiver you can cancel your tour for ANY REASON and Tauck will reduce the regular cancellation fees outlined herein, provided we are notified of cancellation before your cruise departs. Certain terms and restrictions apply (see below*).

*Extreme Circumstances:  In the event of an act of God, war (whether declared or undeclared), terrorism, accident, natural disaster, outbreak of disease, or other event or circumstance beyond our control that contributes to or results in cancellation rates above our historical cancellation rates in the absence of such event or occurrence, Tauck reserves the right to issue a credit to you in lieu of a money-back refund, applicable to a future Tauck journey.

Travel Insurance Benefits – Underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company.

    •     Trip Cancellation –  Should you cancel for covered reasons, the plan reimburses cancellation fees imposed, up to your total trip cost.

    •     Trip Interruption –  If you have to interrupt your tour for covered reasons, the plan provides reimbursement to catch up to your tour or return home.

    •     Travel Delay –  Provides reimbursement for missed, prepaid travel arrangements if you are delayed by a common carrier, natural disaster, unannounced strike, or other reasons as cited in the plan.

    •     Medical Expense –  Reimburses covered medical expenses incurred in the event you become injured or sick during your trip.

    •     Baggage / Personal Effects Protection –  Provides reimbursement in the event your luggage or personal effects are, lost, stolen, damaged or delayed during your trip.

Worldwide Emergency Assistance Services –  Provided by Carefree Travel Assistance; 24-hour emergency telephone assistance hotline for medical and travel related problems.

The cost of Tauck's Event Protection Plan is $329  per person.

This plan provides cancellation coverage for your trip and other insurance coverages that apply only during the covered trip. You may have coverage from other sources that provides you with similar benefits but may be subject to different restrictions depending upon your other coverages. You may wish to compare the terms of this policy with your existing life, health, home and automobile policies. If you have any questions about your current coverage, call your insurer, insurance agent or broker.

This optional Event Protection must be requested at time of booking and fee must be included in initial payment. Details will be provided with written confirmation of your reservation. Event Protection does not protect travel agent commissions. Reimbursements will be made according to original method of payment. The amount of any refund shall be reduced by any recoveries obtained by you from any third parties.

If You Have To Cancel

Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed bookings. Therefore, the fees listed will apply.

Guests choosing to purchase Tauck's Event Protection Plan will incur cancellation penalties per person as follows:

90 days or more before departure: $400 per person, plus loss of Event Protection fee, per person  89 – 45 days before departure: $800 per person, plus loss of Event Protection fee, per person 44 – 1 days before departure: $1,200 per person, plus loss of Event Protection fee, per person Cancellation Fees without Tauck's Event Protection Plan: 90 days or more before departure: $600 per person 89 – 45 days before departure: $1,000 per person 44 - 1 days before departure: $2,000 per person

Time of cancellation will be when notice is received in our Wilton Woods, CT office.

Note:  All Guests, regardless of residency, who book a Tauck journey have the option of purchasing the Cancellation Waiver provided by Tauck in the event they need to cancel their trip after making their reservations. Tauck's Cruise & Event Protection, which includes both the Cancellation Fee Waiver and the Travel Insurance Benefits and Assistance Services described above, is not available to residents of Puerto Rico.

Travel Requirements For This Tour

Travel Documents

Real ID Act - Effective May 3, 2023

Beginning in May, 2023, some state IDs will no longer permit you to board a domestic flight. Currently, some states are compliant, some have received extensions, and some are not compliant. Click here  to see the status of your state. If your state license is not compliant, you can use a passport in lieu of a valid state ID. 

Note: The federal government has extended the deadline to May 3, 2023 for domestic airline passengers to secure a Real ID driver's license for use as identification at the airport. Travelers without a verified license or ID card will also have the option of showing other identity documents, such as a passport or military ID to board a plane.

If you are a citizen of another country traveling to the U.S., you should contact an embassy or consulate of the U.S. to determine what travel documentation is necessary. You may also log on to the U.S. State Department's Internet site by clicking here .

If you are traveling by air to join and/or depart from this tour within the U.S., please read the section above entitled Airline Security Measures to determine what travel documentation is required.

If you are a citizen of the U.S. or Canada who travels frequently between the two countries , you may benefit from the NEXUS program, which is a joint initiative between the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency and the Canada Border Services Agency that allows pre-screened and approved travelers faster processing at designated highway lanes in high-volume border crossing locations, at a NEXUS kiosk at several airports, and at certain marine reporting locations in the Great Lakes and Seattle regions. We recommend that you make at least two photocopies of all the travel documents that you bring with you. Include copies of the photo page of your passport that contains the date of issuance, the date of expiration and your citizenship. Secure one set of copies in the safe in your room while traveling and leave one set behind with someone at home who will assist you in the event your documents are misplaced, lost or stolen.

Please note that you must present a license or photo ID to enter Warner Bros. Studio on "Hooray for Hollywood" sightseeing track.

Travel with Children Age Recommendations – The minimum age requirement on this Tauck event is 5 years of age or older at the time of travel. Based upon our experience with family travelers, we have a minimum recommended age of 10 for this event to encourage comfort and enjoyment for all of our guests. All children must be accompanied on activities by a parent or guardian. At least one guest in the traveling party must be 21 years of age or older in order to make a reservation. Please Note: Children under 5 years of age are not permitted on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour. Babysitting – Our journeys are designed for adults and children to share the wonder of discovery together. If you require babysitting services, your Tauck Director will put you in contact with the appropriate hotel staff with whom you may make babysitting arrangements. There is usually an additional fee for these services. Many hotels do offer on-site babysitting services; however, babysitting services may not be available at all of our hotels. Please note that our Tauck Directors are not responsible for providing babysitting services.  Safety and Welfare Responsibility ― We welcome the participation of child travelers on our exciting excursions. If you are traveling with a child on a Tauck journey, you have the sole responsibility for ensuring that that the child with whom you are traveling follows all rules of safety throughout the tour. By traveling with us, you release Tauck, Inc. and our partners of all liability for any risks and/or injuries to the child with whom you are traveling. 

Weather in Southern California varies moderately with the seasons. December and January in the Los Angeles area are typically very comfortable with little rain, warm days and cool nights. In December and January the average high temperature is about 68 °F (20 °C) in the daytime and the average overnight low temperature is about 48 °F (9 °C). The region averages 1.9 in (49 mm) of rainfall in December and 3.3 in (85 mm) in January. The air is typically very dry, and the daytime temperatures can drop up to 20 °F or 11 °C by evening.

What To Pack

Dress for comfort and convenience with a wardrobe that is flexible and allows for layering. Casual, cotton resort wear is suggested. For the New Year's Eve Gala event, you may wish to dress up a bit – jacket and tie for men, casually-elegant outfit for ladies - but by all means be comfortable. A light jacket or sweater for late evenings or early mornings is recommended. Comfortable walking shoes that have already been broken-in are advisable.

Bathrobes and hairdryers are provided in each hotel room.

We recommend that you pack an adequate supply of your prescription medication in its original container to last through the entire event, together with a copy of your doctor's prescription (or a letter from your health-care provider on office stationery explaining that the medication has been prescribed for you), a list of the generic names of your medication, your travel documents and a change of clothing in your carry-on bag to avoid any inconvenience in the event that your flight or luggage is delayed.

Air Information and Luggage Restrictions

Checked Luggage – General

Due to space restrictions, we ask that you please limit your checked luggage to one suitcase per person weighing no more than 50 pounds (23 kg) and with overall dimensions (length + width + height) not exceeding 62 inches (158 cm).

Besides complying with the Tauck restriction noted above, you should also be sure to research and comply with all airline baggage restrictions relating to your flights to and from your Tauck journey. Airlines have become much more strict in enforcing size and weight limits in recent years, and luggage exceeding airline standards for size or weight may result in expensive overage fees or other consequences.

Airlines are free to revise luggage policies without notice, and certain airlines have different baggage allowances for different classes of service. Researching and complying with airline luggage restrictions is the responsibility of the guest, and Tauck cannot be held responsible for any costs or disruptions to travel caused by the failure to research and comply with airline policies.

Carry-on Luggage - General

Although oversize bags and wheeled, carry-on luggage are popular for airline travel, they are often not convenient or appropriate for motor coach travel or for many on-tour flights. Most modern sightseeing motor coaches offer limited space for numerous or larger items. Space under seats or in the overhead rack is typically small, and designed to accommodate items like coats, hats, purses, and small camera bags, etc.

For your day-to-day travel while on tour, we recommend that you limit your hand luggage to a small, soft-sided carry-on piece, and that you bring only those items you need handy during the day such as make-up, medications, cameras, film, etc. Items too large to fit under the motor coach seat or on the overhead rack must be stored in the luggage bays beneath the motor coach, and may be inaccessible during daytime travel.

A maximum of four tickets per person will be available. Individual ticket prices start at $190.95, including fees.

The game is no longer a so-called contractual sellout, with the Pac-12 and Big Ten conferences and Tournament of Roses receiving tickets — and so the number of tickets available through the public sale will be “much larger than in previous years,” Karen Linhart, the Rose Bowl Game marketing & media director, told City News Service.

The Rose Bowl Game will serve as a College Football Playoff quarterfinal for the 2024-25 season, and is expected to include the Big Ten Conference champion.

Under rules of the expanded 12-team playoff, the four highest-ranked conference champions will be seeded one through four and assigned to bowls in consideration of historic bowl relationships.

The other team will be the winner of a first-round playoff game played Dec. 20 or Dec 21.

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is already considered one of the best point guards in the league but he's drawing comparisons to a former MVP that ironically is his current teammate. Known for his explosive athleticism and electrifying style of play, Morant recently drew comparisons to former NBA MVP Derrick Rose from none other than Joakim Noah, Rose’s former teammate with the Chicago Bulls.

During an interview with Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, Noah highlighted the similarities between Morant and Rose, stating, “I see it. I see a lot of similarities. They’re definitely hood favorites. It’s cool. I think there’s similarities in their explosiveness.”

While acknowledging the parallels, Noah also pointed out some key differences, noting that “physically I think D-Rose is a little bit more explosive.”

The comparison between Morant and Rose is not without merit. Derrick Rose, drafted first overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 2008 NBA Draft, quickly became a highlight reel staple with his thunderous dunks and acrobatic plays. His ability to dazzle fans while leading the Bulls to memorable playoff battles—such as the first-round duel against the Boston Celtics in 2009—is etched in history as one of the greatest playoff series.

The Celtics were injured as they battled without Kevin Garnett and the Bulls seemed poised to upset the defending champions behind Derrick Rose's stellar play. But the Celtics showed resolve and ultimately won the series in seven games. Still, Rose announced his presence as a dominant force in the league.

Rose's career reached its pinnacle in 2011 when he became the youngest player to win the NBA MVP award. His dynamic play was instrumental in propelling the Bulls to challenge the Miami Heat's big three of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh. Despite being hampered by injuries, Rose remains a respected veteran presence in the league today.

Similarly, Ja Morant has shown shades of Rose's explosiveness on the court. Known for his own forceful drives and acrobatic finishes, Morant plays with finesse also reminiscent of another NBA legend, Allen Iverson. His exceptional ball control and dribbling skills make him a constant threat, and like Rose, he's a key catalyst for his team's success.

The statistical similarities between Rose and Morant further bolster this comparison. During Rose's MVP season in 2010-2011, he averaged 25 points and 7.7 assists per game. Meanwhile, in the 2021-2022 season, Morant posted impressive numbers, averaging 27.4 points and 6.4 assists per game. The Grizzlies entered the playoffs that year as the second seed in the Western Conference but ultimately fell to the eventual champion Golden State Warriors after Morant's untimely injury.

While Ja Morant has faced challenges, both on and off the court , he remains focused on leading the Grizzlies to new heights. As Morant returns to the lineup after missing significant time over the past few seasons, Memphis will need him to play like an emerging MVP candidate similar to prime Derrick Rose if they intend to compete in a conference flanked with talent this season.

Taylor Swift Seemingly Busts Out ‘So High School’ Dance Moves at Kansas City Chiefs Home Opener

Taylor Swift may be on a break from The Eras Tour , but she appeared to bust out some choreography from the show at the first Kansas City Chiefs game of the season.

Swift, 34, was spotted doing moves from her song “So High School” while sitting in her suite at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday, September 5. “SO HIGH SCHOOL vibes 🥺,” one X user captioned a side-by-side comparison of Swift at the game and her Eras Tour performance.

In the video, Swift leaned forward and rolled her arms down while appearing to mouth the lyrics, “You know how to ball, I know Aristotle.” Just like her tour choreography, Swift followed-up the move by clapping her hands as the game continued.

Swift released “So High School” as a part of her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department , earlier this year. The track is heavily speculated to be about her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce .

The lyrics feature several nods to the athlete, 34, from referencing a 2016 interview where Kelce was asked to play “Kiss, Marry, Kill” with her, Ariana Grande and Katy Perry as his options. “Are you gonna marry, kiss or kill me? It’s just a game, but really,” she sings.

Kelce’s close friend Harry Clark seemingly confirmed the lyric , “Touch me while your friends play Grand Theft Auto,” by posting an Instagram Story of himself playing the popular video game not long after TTPD ’s April release.

“So High School” also features what many believe is a shout-out to Travis’ dad , Ed Kelce . “I feel like laughing in the middle of practice / Do that impression you did of your dad again,” Swift sings, referencing how Travis frequently impersonates his father on his and Jason Kelce ’s “New Heights” podcast.

Swift continued to allude to her relationship with Travis when she incorporated “So High School” and other TTPD songs into the Eras Tour back in May. For the number, the stairs on the stage are lit up to look like bleachers while the stage’s screens feature graphics of stadium lights.

A Swiftie shared side-by-side footage of Swift, 34, appearing to do the same thing while singing her “Tortured Poets Department” song, which is believed to be about Kelce, onstage.

Rose parade parking, rose bowl game presented by prudential, decorating places, access for disabled individuals.

The City of Pasadena and volunteers assist the Tournament of Roses with coordinating three street-level viewing areas along the parade route reserved for people with disabilities and their guests. Each person with a disability is allowed up to four guests.

At one of the three viewing areas there is a section with audio description for visually impaired visitors and another section with sign language interpreters. Tickets to all viewing areas are free. No seats are provided, so viewers need to bring their own chairs, cushions, stools, etc.

Tickets for limited wheelchair-accessible seating at grandstand locations are sold through  Sharp Seating Company .

Tournament of Roses - Rose Bowl Game

ROSE BOWL GAME EXPERIENCES

The Pasadena Tournament of Roses is happy to offer Rose Bowl Game fans, for the first time ever, an exclusive game day Experience offering! There are three Rose Bowl Game experiences available to the public. All experiences include a Rose Bowl Game ticket ( purchasers have the ability to retain this same seat for the 2026 Rose Bowl Game for the same price ). In addition, you will receive a ticket to the Tournament of Roses' Granddaddy Tailgate on game day, parking in a preferred lot ( 1 parking pass will be distributed for every 4 experiences purchased) , expedited entry to the stadium through a dedicated entrance, a souvenir commemorative game ticket, a subscription to the Tournament’s Rose Bowletin newsletter, and access to ticket pre-sales for other select Rose Bowl stadium events. Experience purchasers will also have the opportunity to purchase Rose Parade tickets in the Tournament’s VIP stand located at the beginning of the Parade.  

GOLD EXPERIENCE

• 2025 CFP Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl Game Ticket between the 30-yard lines
• Game Parking Pass in north Lot I*

SILVER EXPERIENCE

• 2025 CFP Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl Game Ticket between the 30's & end zone
• Game Parking Pass in south Lot I*

BRONZE EXPERIENCE

• 2025 CFP Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl Game Ticket in the endzones
• Preferred Game Parking Pass in Lot 6*

Gold Experience : This package includes seats between the 30-yard lines and preferred parking in North Lot I, located near the Tournament’s VIP Granddaddy Tailgate. Gold Experiences are $955 with no additional fees. Silver Experience : Our tier 2 package includes seats between the 30-yard line and the endzone and parking in South Lot I, a short walk from the Tournament’s VIP Granddaddy Tailgate. Silver Experiences are $823 with no additional fees. Bronze Experience : This package includes seats in the corners of the endzone and parking in Lot 6, a short walk from the Tournament’s VIP Grandaddy Tailgate. Bronze Experiences are $674 with no additional fees. -->ALL EXPERIENCES INCLUDE

• The option to purchase a ticket for the 2026 CFP Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential for the same price
• All-inclusive Granddaddy Tailgate ticket (food + bar)
• Expedited Entry into the stadium through the Granddaddy Tailgate
• 2025 Inaugural CFP Quarterfinal Commemorative Game Ticket
• Subscription to the Rose Bowletin Newsletter to keep you up to date on college football
• Access to ticket pre-sales for other select Rose Bowl Stadium events
• Option to purchase a 2025 Rose Parade ticket in the Tournament of Roses VIP Grandstand at an additional cost

Parking will be provided to purchasers based on how many Game Day Experience offerings you have purchased on your account. Please note that you will not receive one parking pass for every Experience you purchase. Experience holders will receive one (1) parking pass for every four (4) Tournament of Roses Experiences purchased.  

How do I access my tickets? Game, Parade, and Tailgate tickets will be digital. You will have access to your tickets in mid-December through the Rose Bowl Game app. An email will be sent to you when your tickets are ready with a guide on how to access them. How do I access my parking passes? Parking passes will be digital passes. Instructions for accessing your parking passes will be provided to you via email. What payment methods are accepted? At this time, we are only accepting credit card payments. How do I select my parade seat? Parade seats will be assigned to you based on availability.
