Where is Dancing On Ice 2022 filmed and can I get tickets for the live shows?

IT's not long till the new 2022 series of Dancing on Ice begins on ITV.

But where is it filmed? Here's the lowdown on the 2022 series...

Where is Dancing On Ice 2022 filmed?

ITV had previously used the George Lucas Stage at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire for Dancing On Ice when the show first began back in 2006.

But since the show returned to our screens in 2018, it has been filmed at a purpose-built rink at RAF Bovingdon in Hertfordshire.

Speaking about the set, host Philip Schofield said: "Yes it has ice in the centre of it and there is a competition but it will look and feel different.

"There is a new studio, Jayne and Chris are on the panel and that frees up our professional dancers to choreograph."

Could I get tickets for Dancing on Ice 2022?

Yes, you are able to get tickets to watch Dancing on Ice live, however, they aren't easy.

SRO audiences, the company that usually allocates audience tickets, say on their website: "we try to be as fair as we can about issuing the tickets. Successful applicants are randomly selected from amongst those who apply. We aim to email tickets to the successful applicants as quickly as possible."

The website states that there are three types of tickets: Production tickets (allocated by the production company to friends & family of the team), Priority tickets (to people who have a priority note to use from SRO) and Regular tickets.

When is Dancing On Ice 2022 on?

Dancing on Ice will start on Sunday, January 16 at 6.30pm on ITV.

The series will air weekly at the same time for 10 weeks.

Viewers will also be able to catch up on the ITV Hub.

Phillip Schofield is back presenting the hit show once more alongside Holly Willoughby.

The 2022 judging panel will be graced by returning judge Ashley Banjo with head judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.

Strictly professional Oti Mabuse will also be joining the panel as a new judge.

It's that time of year again! The excitement for  Dancing On Ice  is certainly building now that ITV have announced a number of celebrities that will be taking to the ice in the new year.

With  Holly Willoughby  and  Phillip Schofield  returning as presenters and expert panellists Torvill and Dean and  Ashley Banjo  also coming back, the new series is going to be exactly what we need to cure those January blues.

Sally Dynevor

Coronation Street legend - and mum to Bridgerton breakout star Phoebe Dynevor - Sally Dynevor MBE was the first contestant to be announced for this year's celebrity line-up. We can't wait to see the soap star swap the cobbles for the ice!

Chatting on Lorraine , she revealed that she had never skated before and was both excited and nervous to start training. She said: "Now everyone knows I'm doing it I can't back out can I?! And I'm so scared!"

Happy Mondays star Bez will be putting on his skates to entertain us in the winter months. Speaking about the exciting news, he told Holly and Philip on This Morning : "At the moment it's more like Bambi on Ice, not Dancing On Ice. How I got picked I don't know because I was absolutely awful at the audition but they must have seen some potential in me!"

We can't wait to see Team GB Paralympian Stef Reid take to the ice! Announcing the news Good Morning Britain , Stef said: "I have some really exciting news. I'm going to be picking up a new sport this winter and it comes with a little bit of showbiz. I'm going to be a contestant on Dancing on Ice and it's a little bit scary but I cannot wait!"

Liberty Poole

After a dramatic end to her Love Island journey, which saw her and now ex Jake Cornish split and exit the show just days before the final, the newly single Liberty Poole will be swapping the sun for the ice.

The 21-year-old student from Birmingham may even have an advantage, as her mum actually used to be a figure skater! She added: "I ice skate as a hobby sometimes so I can get around the rink but I can't do any tricks, no pirouetting or anything so I'm really looking forward to pushing myself and learning as much as I possibly can. Not just skating around the ice but actually dancing on ice. Bring it on!" 

Rugby star Ben Foden is getting his skates on! On taking to the ice, the sportsman said: "I used to skate a little when I was a kid. I'd go to ice discos when I was 15, 16 (years old) and you'd always see these kids that could do pirouettes that had a proper dancing background. I like the idea of learning a new sport and a new skill. I'm quite competitive as well so I like the challenge of competing against others doing something that I'm not necessarily good at!"

Regan Gascoigne

Son of legendary footballer Paul Gascoigne, Regan Gascoigne, has been announced as part of the 2022 line-up! Speaking about why he decided to sign up, the 25-year-old singer and dancer said: "Obviously, I dance and love dancing, but it's the skill of this. I've always wanted to do it. Always! Ever since I was a kid!"

Rachel Stevens

She's no stranger to showing off her competitive side, thanks to her time on Strictly Come Dancing and Masterchef in recent years, so we have a feeling Rachel Stevens is going to be one to watch!  After the news was announced on This Morning, the former S Club Seven star gushed about the upcoming series: "It now feels really real, this is really happening. I'm so excited, obviously really nervous. It's one of those things, until you do it you don't know what's going to happen."

On why she chose to take part, she added: "The opportunity came up and I thought what an amazing opportunity to learn a new skill. I love the whole idea of working with a team and your partner and also for my girls to be a part of this. They are at an age now where they love all the costumes."  

Brendan Cole

Brendan Cole has swapped the ballroom for the ice rink! The former Strictly professional has been confirmed as part of the lineup for the 2022 series, revealing that he has "known [he'd] be doing the show for quite some time". Appearing on Loose Women, Brendan said that while he needs to brush up on his skating, he's "a fairly confident person and I like to think I’m going to be good at what I put my hand to or my feet to!" He added: "You can expect to be a bit wobbly on ice but I was hoping I was going to be better than I was. I’ve got time to learn. I’m just going to embrace the whole experience and I’m very excited to get started.”

TV presenter Ria Hebden, best known for her stints on Lorraine and This Morning , is the latest celebrity to sign up for Dancing on Ice. Announcing the exciting news, she said: "It'll be fun. This is one of ITV's most sparkly shows so when they asked me I was like absolutely, we watch it at home. It will be brilliant to learn a new scary skill." She went on to say: "You've got to say yes to things that excite you, that are a little bit scary because that's when the growth happens - I'm hoping so anyway!"

Kye Whyte, fresh off the back of his silver medal win at Tokyo 2020 for BMX racing, will be donning his skates shoes in this year's competition! His decision to take part in the show was announced on CBBC's Newsround , where he confessed that while he did roller-skating as a youngster, that's the extent of his abilities so it seems like many others, he has a lot to learn between now and January.

Kimberly Wyatt

Pussycat Doll's Kimberly Wyatt is the 11th celebrity confirmed to be taking to the ice in Dancing On Ice 2022. She announced the news while talking to fellow Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts on Heart Breakfast and said, "I'm nervous, that ice is going to hit hard. I'm just excited to see what I can do on there. I'm up for a challenge!"

Connor Ball

Connor Ball from the boyband The Vamps completes the 2022 lineup! The 25-year-old confirmed the exciting news while speaking to Roman Kemp, Sian Welby and current Dancing On Ice champion Sonny Jay on Capital. He said: "I'm excited obviously but I'm really nervous. I'm quite clumsy, accident prone. Ice is hard! It was pretty hard to keep the secret. The rest of the band know. They're super excited for me." Over on Twitter, it seems the nerves have got the better of him, as he asked his followers not to tell him to "break a leg" as the singer is concerned he actually will!

Dancing on Ice 2022 line-up: Celebrities and their professional dance partners

Meet the class of 2022.

A host of brand new celebrities will get their skates on for "the greatest show on ice" this winter.

Coronation Street 's Sally Dynevor, former rugby player Ben Foden, This Morning star Ria Hebden, S Club 7's Rachel Stevens and more celebs will take to the ice to showcase their skating skills on live TV, accompanied by their professional partners.

Here is the full 2022 line-up, featuring the stars and their pro dance partners.

Dancing on Ice, presented by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, airs Sunday, January 16 at 6.30pm on ITV.

Connor Ball and Alexandra Shauman

The Vamps star Connor will take to the ice with Alexandra for the first time in week two of the show. He said the biggest appeal is learning a new skill, adding: "I love challenging myself in everything, certainly in music but this is completely different to anything I've ever done before."

Connor has skated before casually, but says Dancing on Ice will provide a very different experience. "Obviously it's very different to just going with my mates, so I'll get to learn proper technique," he added.

Stef Reid and Andy Buchanan

Paralympic track and field star Stef will also make her Dancing on Ice debut in week two. When asked what she's most looking forward to about her first live show, she said: "I think it's that mix of my heart is beating so fast and I’m so nervous versus this is so exciting. I remember my coach once said to me that fear and excitement are the same emotion. It's just a matter of your perspective.

"I've actually never done a live show. I have no frame of reference and that's what's fun. You never know how long your life is going to be and it's not about length, it's about those moments, memories, excitements and things that you are proud of because they were super scary but you’ve done them anyway."

Ben Foden and Robin Johnstone

Ben is also part of week two's lineup, and the rugby star said his favourite memory of the show as a viewer was "watching Todd Carty losing it and disappearing down the tunnel – I remember watching it and just thinking, 'that is quality TV'. The way he came back and just did jazz hands!"

Ben added that he's ready to "attempt the impossible" on the show, saying: "I won't be happy just skating round the ice and doing the easy moves. I think people are going to expect me to do a lot more than that, and I expect it of myself as well."

Bez and Angela Egan

Happy Mondays dancer Bez will be making his ice debut in week one, and is managing expectations already by saying "honestly, I'm so bad on the ice" and describing his status pre-training as "like Bambi on ice rather than skating on ice". He's excited to meet new people and take on the challenge – although worries about injury a little as he says he's "quite accident prone".

Bez had the chance to catch up with past Dancing on Ice champions Joe Swash and Kem Cetinay to chat about the show while they were on Celebrity MasterChef together. He said that his fiancée finds it "hilarious" that he's taking part, but added that she thinks he's "really lucky" to be able to learn a new skill on TV. "The thing I'm looking forward to is going to a rink at Christmas and rocking up, banging my own boots on and showing everyone what I can do!" he added.

Regan Gascoigne and Karina Manta

Dancer Regan will make his first appearance on the ice in week two as well, and said he's been watching the show since he was a child and respects "everyone who has done it".

He's also excited about forging a creative partnership and learning new skating skills from pro partner Karina, adding: "It will be so different to dance and I really want to learn it and respect it and hopefully try and own it. I just want to commit to the whole process." Regan is also open to constructive criticism from the panel to "take it, learn from it and improve" during the series.

Kye Whyte and Tippy Packard

You'll be able to see Olympian Kye on the ice for the first time in week one's show. The BMX star has tried out rollerblading before, but had only skated twice prior to signing up for the show. Kye is excited to "put BMX, as a sport, on a higher, more well-known level" through Dancing on Ice .

Kye also shared his mum's initial reaction to the news he'd be taking part in the show, saying she "had a smile on her face [and] she laughed when I told her". He added that he's already feeling "super competitive" about the show and "super excited to learn" new skills having never actually trained professionally for another sport away from BMX.

Liberty Poole and Joe Johnson

Liberty Poole returns to ITV screens following her time on Love Island , and you'll get to see her skate for the first time on week two's show. She's skated before as a hobby and her mum used to be a figure skater, so ice-skating for fun is a pasttime they've enjoyed together (Liberty added that she thinks her mum would be "moved to tears" if she gets the opportunity to meet Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.)

Liberty added that she's looking forward to working with a professional partner so that she can improve her existing skills, including, she hopes "doing pirouettes and ice skating backwards". She added: "I'm looking forward to taking my skills from just being able to skate fast and forward to actually doing maneuvers. I'm definitely up for trying anything."

Kimberly Wyatt and Mark Hanretty

Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly will compete for the first time in week one. She was encouraged to take part in the show partly as a result of her love of gymnastics and figure skating, growing up watching the likes of Oksana Baiul ("who I was just enthralled with"), Scott Hamilton and Nancy Kerrigan.

Kimberly added that she's most looking forward to "telling a story on ice" and getting "stuck into the music and the drama of the performance... I love moving people through what I do. I hope that I'm able to get past the tough stuff so I can live in that moment and share that with my three children and my husband."

Rachel Stevens and Brendyn Hatfield

Rachel is going to be part of week two's lineup, and said she really got into skating briefly as a child although "didn't stick with it". While she said her return to the ice was "wobbly", she also found the experience "lovely and super relaxing and calm".

While Rachel is excited to learn all of the routines, she added she's scared about the prospect of the headbanger as she's not keen on "things that are upside down", adding it "fills me with fear". However, she's definitely enthusiastic about the challenge, saying: "All I know is, I want to go for it and have fun. That's the thing. I've always been quite a perfectionist but with this I really want to go for it. It's about having a laugh and having fun learning a new skill along the way."

Ria Hebden and Łukasz Różycki

TV presenter Ria will be part of week one's lineup, and says she's up for "an exciting challenge where I'm hoping to go on a journey and learn more about myself". However, while she said she's up for trying "most things" on the show, Ria is a little apprehensive about the headbanger, joking: "I like my head on my neck! Everything else – I'm up for it."

She's been grilling Alex Beresford about his time on Dancing on Ice , saying: "He genuinely said it was one of the best experiences he ever had, he said everyone was lovely and he had a brilliant time. That reassured me that there's nothing to worry about, it's going to be a really positive experience and it's going to be fun."

Sally Dynevor and Matt Evers

Coronation Street icon Sally will be making her Dancing on Ice debut in week one, and she'll be keeping up her commitments to the soap while she takes part in the show. She's been chatting to Brooke Vincent, her on-screen daughter Sophie, about the show, as well as Samia Longchambon, whose husband Sylvain was previously part of the show's pro lineup. "They said that I would absolutely love it but to be prepared to work really hard."

Sally had never skated before the show bar taking one of her daughters to try it out ("I was holding onto the side as much as she was," she recalled). She is excited for people to see her out of character, adding: "I’m quite private and I'm not very good at putting my head above the parapet, so this for me is massive. That scares me a little bit because I'm very used to hiding behind a character and just being part of Coronation Street but it will be nice for people to see me as me and not as my character."

Brendan Cole and Vanessa Bauer

Former Strictly Come Dancing pro (and series 1 champion) Brendan will make his first appearance on the Dancing on Ice rink in week one. "The people that know my from my old job, if you like, will have high expectations because I'm a dancer and it is dancing on ice," he noted. "I'm apprehensive that I might not be as good as people think but at the same time, I'm quite positive that I'll be able to do it!"

Brendan said that he's excited to learn and "take every ounce of information and hopefully put it to use" and "inspire the teacher", based on his own experiences of coaching dance partners. He's also open to criticism "from a position of authority", adding: "I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to performing on ice so anything that comes my way I'd like to think I'll take it on board."

Dancing on Ice is back to brighten up your grey January nights. The show , which has run since 2006 (albeit with a three-year-break), is a winter favourite , but some might be wondering if they can watch the spectacle in person. Here’s everything you need to know about Dancing on Ice 2022.

Where is Dancing on Ice filmed?

Dancing on Ice has been filmed at a purpose-built rink at RAF Bovingdon in Hertfordshire since it returned in 2018. Before that it took a three-year hiatus, and had previously used the George Lucas Stage at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire.

Can I watch in person?

It is possible to get tickets to see the show live, but it is difficult. SRO Audiences allocates tickets, and says on its website: “We try to be as fair as we can about issuing the tickets. This has gotten even harder due to Covid-19. The company adds: “This year for Dancing on Ice , we shall be admitting the audience in a different way to usual; we never know in advance whether each group will attend, or will use all of their tickets, and we therefore over-issue tickets to compensate for the inevitable no-shows and base the over-issue on the attendance at previous recordings of a show.

“At most shows, we admit regular ticket holders on a first-come first-served basis. We shall be recording this show with each group will be seated at a table.

“In order to make the most of the available space and accommodate as many people as possible, groups who fit the available tables will be favoured.

“Therefore, although hopefully we shall still accommodate everyone who attends, at this production, if a group arrives after your party but the size of their group fits the available seats and yours does not, that group may be admitted first.”

When is Dancing on Ice back?

The show will return on Sunday 16 January at 6.30pm on ITV. It will also be available on ITV Hub. It will run for 10 weeks.

Who are the judges?

There is to be a shake up this year, and Strictly ‘s Oti Mabuse is joining the Ice Panel. John Barrowman, who joined the judging panel in 2019, will not be returning.

Earlier this year, he admitted exposing himself to colleagues, saying that he had taken part in “tomfoolery” on the sets of BBC shows Doctor Who and Torchwood .

Mabuse will appear alongside fellow judges Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, while Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will return to present the show.

Dancing On Ice returns on Sunday night with a brand new set of celebrity hopefuls – but who are the professional skaters they’ll be partnered up with?

The ‘greatest show on ice’ sees 12 stars take to the ice as they try to impress the panel – and viewers watching at home – enough to make it through each week.

This year will also see some newbies elsewhere, with Oti Mabuse joining the judging panel as well as three new professional dancers.

Morgan Swales, Tippy Packard and Colin Grafton will take over as replacements for Hamish Gaman , Klabera Komini and Yebin Mok.

Here’s everything you need to know about the 2022 professional skater line-up.

Who are the new professionals for 2022?

Morgan swales.

The 22-year-old competitive figure skater started ice-skating lessons aged nine after begging her mum to let her after tuning into Dancing On Ice.

She’s competed at both national and international competitions, finishing in the top 10 of the 2019 British championships, fifth place at the August 2021 British qualifiers competing in the 2021 British championships.

Some fans may recognise Morgan from the small screen already, having previously starred in the Netflix series Zero Chill.

In the hit show, Morgan plays the figure skating double for the lead character Kayla MacBentley.

Tippy Packard

Tippy is a three-time Hong Kong National Champion and Worlds Competitor in figure skating, having hailed from Monterey Park in the US.

She toured over 40 countries as a show skater after retiring from the competitive sport.

The newcomer, 26, started ice skating aged five and will be paired with Olympic BMX racer Kye Whyte, who was a silver medallist at the 2020 Tokyo games.

Colin Grafton

Team USA pairs-skater Colin began skating aged seven, after reportedly being inspired to take up the sport after the 1998 Winter Olympics.

He is a US junior bronze medalist with his former skating partner Kylie Durate.

Fans won’t see Colin paired up with any of the 12 celebrities this year, but he will be taking part in routines performed during the show and will be on hand to step in, in case any male pros need to bow out from the competition.

Who are the returning professionals for 2022?

Łukasz różycki.

Łukasz, 42, is a Polish pair skater, having competed with skating partner Aneta Kowalska at the World Junior Championships and won a bronze medal at an ISU Junior Grand Prix event in 1999.

He is married to Finnish skater Alexandra Schauman, who is a long-running professional skater on the show.

Łukasz was eliminated first in both the 2020 and 2021 series’ with partners Trisha Goddard and Myleene Klass respectively so will be hoping to fare better in 2022.

He and Ria Hebden were eliminated second after she ended up in the first two skate-offs.

Vanessa Bauer

Vanessa , 25, is one of the series’ most successful pro dancers, having won the 2017 competition with Jake Quickenden and finished as runner-up in 2019 and 2020 with Wes Nelson and Joe Swash respectively.

The skater originally hailed from Germany and alongside partner Nolan Seegert, became the German national junior pairs’ champion at the 2013 German Figure Skating Championships.

Vanessa worked on Royal Caribbean Cruises as a performer after her competitive years came to an end, before moving to London in 2017 for Dancing On Ice.

She is paired with early favourite Brendan Cole – but will she manage to lift the trophy again once more?

Andy Buchanan

Canadian pro skater Andy began figure skating at the age of seven and went on to become a seven times Western Canadian Champion.

He’s played various roles in productions of Disney on Ice, including Scar, Simba, Tarzan and Aladdin, with his partner Robin Johnstone as Jasmine.

He was paired with Anthea Turner in series eight, Zaraah Abrahams in series nine and  Rebekah Vardy in series 13 .

Robin Johnstone

Canadian ice dancer Robin first appeared on Dancing On Ice in 2013 and 2014 and returned to the show last year .

She was partnered with Rufus Hound in the 2021 series but they both had to withdraw after the comedian came in contact with someone who tested positive for Covid.

They were replaced by Matt Richardson and Vicky Ogden who made their debut in the competition in week four but left the same week.

Robin is married to fellow pro skater Andy, with the pair having met in 2000 while performing in Disney On Ice Presents Three Jungle Adventures. They have been married for 14 years.

Alexandra Schauman

Alexandra, 41, won the 2019 show with former Strictly professional James Jordan but withdrew the following year after sustaining an injury whilst skating with actor and TV host, Joe Swash – who went on to win

The Finnish skater appears on the series alongside her husband Łukasz, who she has been married to for over 20 years.

The pair performed a moving tribute on the ice to fellow skater Sean Rice, who died in January.

Mark Hanretty

Mark, 36, is a Scottish former competitive skater and two-time British medallist with partner Christina Chitwood, also competing at the 2009 European Championships, placing 18th and 2010 World Championships in Turin.

He first appeared on Dancing On Ice between 2011 and 2013, returning as a professional partner once again for series 10 in 2018.

He’s skated with stars including actress Donna Air, former Loose Women panellist Saira Khan and Paralympic sprinter Libby Clegg, with the latter making it to the final after becoming the first partially-sighted contestant to take part.

Mark also keeps himself busy by acting as a commentator on Eurosports and as a choreographer for the Olympics.

Angela Egan 

Scottish pro skater Angela, 35, came onto our screens for the first time last year.

Before landing her role on Dancing On Ice, Angela was packing shelves for Amazon.

It came after the Covid pandemic led her to lose her role as part of the cast of Disney On Ice.

She won her debut series with Capital FM DJ Sonny Jay , but will she manage to retain her title for the second year in a row?

Brendyn Hatfield

Brendyn, 36, is back on the ice for the third time, following a successful run in 2021 with his partner Lady Leshurr, where the pair made it to the semi-finals, achieving the perfect score of 40.

Prior to his stint on Dancing on Ice, he was in Disney on Ice and Holiday on Ice, and away from skating, has also been a cinematographer and editor.

This year, the skating professional is paired up with former member of S Club 7 Rachel Stevens.

American pair skater, model and actor Matt, 45, has competed in every single series of Dancing On Ice so far and returns in 2022 with Corrie’s Sally Dyenvor .

With his partner Heather Allebach, Evers won the Junior pairs title at the 1998 U.S. Championships. The following season, they competed at three senior international events, 1998 Skate Canada International, 1998 Cup of Russia and 1998 Nebelhorn Trophy.

Over the years, he’s been paired with stars such as Jorgie Porter, Denise Welch and Zoe Salmon.

He made history when he became part of the show’s first-ever same-sex partnership for the 2020 series, with Steps singer Ian ‘H’ Watkins.

Karina Manta

Karina, 25, has skated with fellow Dancing On Ice pro, Joe Johnson, since 2013.

In 2019, she announced that she was stepping away from competitive figure skating, planning to move to Montreal with skating partner Joe to join Cirque du Soleil.

She’s spoken openly about her sexuality, coming out as bisexual in 2018, in a video accompanied by her girlfriend, which made her the first female figure skater competing on behalf of Team USA to come out.

The 2021 series was her first, where she danced with former Olympic skier, Graham Bell.

Joe Johnson

Joe, 27, began skating in 2003 and has been in a partnership with Karina since 2013.

He competed in Skate America, the US International Classic, US National Championships and the Midwestern Sectional Championships.

In 2021 he joined the ITV show for series 13 as a professional skater, where he was paired up with the gymnastic medalist Amy Tinkler.

The full line up for the 2022 series of Dancing on Ice has been revealed.

After gradually announcing the stars taking part in the 14th series, ITV have finally revealed their 12th and last contestant.

The dancers include a Love Island star, Coronation Street legend and a Strictly Come Dancing star.

Set to take part are The Vamps' singer Connor Ball, Love Island's Liberty Pool, Coronation Street legend Sally Dynevor and Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt.

Joining them will be S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens, Paul Gascoigne's son Regan Gascoigne, Lorraine Kelly's entertainment reporter Ria Hebden, and BMX Olympian Kye Whyte.

Following in the footsteps of his friend James Jordan, ballroom dancer Brendan Cole is taking to the ice, alongside Rugby player Ben Foden, Paralympian Stef Reid and Happy Mondays dancer Bez.

Love Island's Liberty Poole, 22, was rumoured to be participating in the new series of I'm A Celebrity . However, it's safe to say the Dancing On Ice announcement puts the speculation to rest.

Liberty rose to fame on this year's series of Love Island when she was coupled up with Jake Cornish. However, after a rocky journey together, the pair decided to go their separate ways just before the final.

This year's series of Dancing On Ice saw Capital FM presenter Sonny Jay being crowned the winner along with his skating partner Angela Egan.

The series also saw a number of contestant injuries, which included Andy Buchanan's face being cut by Rebekah Vardy's boot blade, Denise Van Outen dislocating her shoulder and Billie Faiers hitting her head on the ice.

This caused the show to finish earlier than intended due to the dropouts caused by injuries and Covid.

When is the Dancing On Ice final on? And who's in it?

The Dancing On Ice 2022 winner will finally be crowned this weekend.

You'd be forgiven for wondering when the Dancing on Ice final is after all the schedule changes! The Dancing On Ice final will air on Sunday, March. 27 at 7pm on ITV where the celebrity contestants will take on the legendary Bolero and this year’s previous couples will also return to the ice. It will last for two hours.

Dancing On Ice 2022 has stunned the nation with spectacular performances, but now it’s time to discover which of the remaining three contestants will be crowned the winner in the grand final.

The Dancing On Ice 2022 competition has been far from uneventful over the past eight weeks, with celebrities suffering brutal injuries that forced some out of the competition as well as history-making events that happened on the ice.

There was also a shake-up of hosts as Phillip Schofield tested positive for COVID and was replaced by Stephen Mulhern , meanwhile Holly Willoughby also had COVID another week and Phillip had to go solo.

Not only that, but there was also a scheduling shake-up, as the Dancing On Ice final was cancelled on Sunday, March. 20, so that ITV could broadcast the live FA Cup.

Brendan Cole and Vanessa Bauer

Former Strictly Come Dancing pro Brendan and his skating partner Vanessa have constantly been impressing the judges throughout the competition, scoring perfect 40s across the board over the weeks. 

He also amazed the nation with his same-sex partnership routine with Brendyn Hatfield, a feat which was last done on the show in 2020, after Vanessa was unable to take part in the show due to testing positive for COVID. 

Regan Gascoigne and Karina Manta

Professional dancer Regan has been “battered and bruised” throughout the competition, but this hasn’t stopped him from putting on show-stopping performances alongside his pro partner Karina. 

Regan wowed audiences with his first effortless performance and since then, has been constantly amazing the viewers and judges with his skating skills.

Kimberly Wyatt and Mark Hanretty

Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly has put on some phenomenal performances, and some fans have been desperate for her to win the show after her themed dance routine with professional partner Mark.

She has also been constantly topping the leader board, making her tough competition for some, but will she remain undefeated in the final?

Dancing On Ice 2022: The celebrity line-up so far

The star-studded line-up for the 2022 series of Dancing On Ice is gradually being unveiled.

The TV series will feature returning presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

However, John Barrowman, who joined the judging panel in 2019, will not be back.

– Liberty Poole

Fresh from appearing on Love Island, the waitress and marketing student from Birmingham will be taking to the rink.

The 22-year-old was coupled up with Jake Cornish in the latest series of the ITV dating show, but the pair called time on their romance and left the villa early.

“I grew up watching Dancing On Ice and my mum actually used to be a figure skater,” she said.

– Rachel Stevens

The former S Club 7 singer, 43, shot to fame as part of the chart-topping band between 1999 and 2003.

She later embarked on a successful solo career and finished second on Strictly Come Dancing in 2008.

Stevens, who shares two daughters with husband Alex Bourne, said: “I love the whole idea of working with a team and your partner and also for my girls to be a part of this. They are at an age now where they love all the costumes.”

– Regan Gascoigne

The son of former England footballer Paul is a singer and dancer.

He said: “Obviously I dance and love dancing, but it’s the skill of this… I’ve always wanted to do it. Always! Ever since I was a kid!”

– Ben Foden

The former England rugby player, 36, was previously married to singer Una Healy and competed in Simon Cowell’s X Factor celebrity spin-off series in 2019.

“I’m quite competitive as well so I like the challenge of competing against others doing something that I’m not necessarily good at,” he said.

News of track and field Paralympian Reid, 36, joining the show was announced on Good Morning Britain.

She said: “I have some really exciting news. I’m going to be picking up a new sport this winter and it comes with a little bit of showbiz.

“I’m going to be a contestant on Dancing On Ice and it’s a little bit scary but I cannot wait!”

The maraca-shaking dancer, famed for his onstage antics as part of Madchester-era band Happy Mondays, will discover if his moves translate to the ice rink.

The 57-year-old, whose real name is Mark Berry, said: “At the moment it’s more like Bambi on Ice, not Dancing On Ice.

“How I got picked I don’t know because I was absolutely awful at the audition, but they must have seen some potential in me.”

The Coronation Street star was the first celebrity skater to be announced.

The 58-year-old actress is known to viewers as ambitious Sally Webster in the long-running ITV soap, a part she has played since 1986.

Dynevor appeared on Lorraine to announce the news, saying: “This is a massive challenge. It really, really is.

“I’m not getting any younger. I’ve just got to take every opportunity I get so that when I’m old I can say, ‘You know what? I gave it a go’.”
