Specifications, tour description, day 01 – your arrival at dubai.

Your first day of Explore Dubai & Oman Tour with Oman Safari Tour starts with your arrival at the Muscat International Airport. After arriving there, you will proceed straight to the Immigration. Then, you meet our friendly and professional chauffeur at the general arrival lounge and drive to the hotel in the comforts of our luxury vehicle.

You will check-in hotel at 15:00Hrs.

Day 02 – Half Day Dubai City Tour & Dinner Dhow Cruise 

You will be picked up from hotel at 9:00 am and start your day with a Half Day Dubai City Tour. Your city tour starts with a drive along the Dubai Creek – the Natural saltwater inlet located in the historical part of the city, divides through Bur Dubai and Deira. Then, explore Gold & Spice Souks – traditional market with hundreds of trade retailers available for a wide variety of shopping.

Then make a stop at Dubai Museum – situated in the Bastakia Area – an interactive museum at Fahidi Fort built in 1971, Burj Khalifa – the world’s tallest structure boasts 828 meter protruding the skyline of Downtown Dubai with over 160 floors, including the Armani residences and hotel resort. Day 03 – Arrival at Muscat – Half Day Muscat City Tour 

You will check out hotel and will be transferred to Dubai Airport for your departure to Muscat. Your standard check out time from the hotel is 12:00hrs.

Upon your arrival at the Muscat International Airport, you will be taken for simple and easy immigration and customs procedure. After that, you will reach the general arrival lounge. Your Half Day Muscat City Tour starts with a trip to the magnificent Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque – well-known as one of the largest mosques across the Middle East. After you visit Bait Al Zubair Museum and enjoy taking photographs at the Al Alam Palace – the residence of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos.

Day 04 – Nizwa Fort & Souq – Jabreen & Bahla Fort 

This tour offers a great insight on incredible Omani history and glorious heritage. Every fort is preciously restored, and has its own story. Actually, they were serve for military defense but were used for social as well as community gatherings.

Before reaching Nizwa Fort, you will stop at old village of Birkat Al Mawz, and take a walk along the plantation and small streets with old crumbling houses. Continue your journey to Nizwa, – once the capital city of Oman, and visit the traditional and craft Souk to buy some souvenirs before reaching the Nizwa. You will see large circular tower and know the lifestyle inside the Nizwa Fort in the 17th century.

After exploring Nizwa, you will start your journey to Bahla, a pretty little town surrounded by an old 12 kilometer long wall. You will visit the place where the inhabitants make pottery and also the old fort of Bahla – one of the oldest ones in Oman (Now it’s under renovation and only visiting outside is permitted).

Then, you will reach Jabrin, for a visit of the fort – once the home of the Imam and was built as a palace earlier, but used for military purposes. It has been believed that the Jabrin Fort isone of the first schools in Oman.

Your overnight will be in Nizwa hotel.

Day 05 – Nizwa- Al Hamra & Misfat Al Abrayeen- Jebel Shams (Grand Canyon)

After taking a breakfast at 8:00 am in the morning,we take you to see the old mud houses in Oman. Then, you stop at Al Hamra and Misfah to see one of the oldest villages of this region.

However, the traditional mud houses were dated back from 400 years – but are still occupied. The falaj system used in this old village one of its kind  and is a UNESCO site.  Thereafter, take a drive to reach Wadi Gul and Wadi Nakhar as well as the remote villages – the drop point of great canyon.

Then you visit the Jebel Shams. Along the road, you explore Wadi Nakhar, a narrow canyon and a very beautiful place, even geologically spectacular. It’s even considered as one of the deepest canyons across the planet.

You will go deep inside to the village to know their main activity weavingOmani rugs. Your journey continues to atop Jebel Shams, well-known as the “Sun Mountain”, and the highest peak in Oman. From there, you will be able to get a spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”.

Your overnight will be in Jabel Shams High Resort.

Day o6 – Jebel Shams – Bilad Siyt – Snake Canyon – Wadi Bani Af – Nakhal Fort – Muscat

You will meet our tour guide at 8:00 am and will offer you a comfortable 4 wheel drive to embark on an adventure-filled trip. Your first stop will be at the quaint mountain village – Bilad Sayt surrounded by the dramatic mountains. We then drive along the spectacular Wadi Bani Af . This stretch is veryadventurous and is for the physically fit only as it includes several steep bends and usually bumpy roads.

Your journey continues to Nakhal Fort – a 17th Century fort built on the peak of a mountain, Jebel Akhdar Mountains. You will find there an area with healing warm springs, the most notable being Ayn A’ Thowarah. Its waters at 45°C and are considered as a cure for diseases like rheumatism and skin-related diseases due to the presence of sulfur content.

After that, you will return to Muscat and your overnight will be at Muscat Hotel.

Day 07 – Arrival at Salalah Airport – Half Day Salalah City Tour – Hotel Transfer 

After checking out hotel at 12:00Hrs, you will transfer to Muscat International Airport for your departure to Salalah. After arrival at the Salalah international airport, you will go for Immigration & customs. Then you will reach general arrival lounge and meet by our friendly, efficient chauffeur to drive you across Salalah in the comforts of our vehicle.

First, your visit starts with the Al Baleed museum of the Frankincense land. The museum is the home to an impressive collection of Omani archaeological and maritime history. The museums opens Sat – Wed at 8:00 -14:00 & 16:00 – 20:00, Thu – Fri 16:00 – 20:00) .

While visiting Heritage Souk, you will get different types of Omani crafts as well as incense burners. Even, you will have an incredible view of the Arabian market after visiting the new souk.

Then, just drive to the Gold souk – the home to modern and olden style Dhofari ornaments. However, Haffah Souk looks very appealing with its small shops aligned up with straight piles of incense boxes, clay incense burners colorfully decorated with traditional patterns as well as bags of incense crystals.

On your way to Haffah Souk, you can able to see some of the common Dhofari houses featuring caravan windows and doors. You will walk past the Sultan Residential palace – Al Husn, reach the Old Souk – where you will find Frankincense, Dhofari traditional clothes and cosmetics.

Visit the ancient city of Zufar, the ancient ruins of Al Balid, earlier visited by Ibn Batuta and Marco Polo. They describes it as a striking, huge and noble city in the Sultanate of Oman.

You will head to Salalah Hotel (B) for overnight.

Day 08 – Full Day East & West Salalah Tour 

Our Full Day East & West Salalah Tour excursion starts in the morning with a visit to the old fishing village of ‘Taqah’, – famous for manufacturing the‘Dried Sardines’ & its traditional yet old ‘Dhofari Houses’. You will visit the century-old ‘Taqah Castle’,- the former official residence of the ‘Wali’ (Governor) of the region offers an incredible glimpse into the rich history of Oman.

Then, you will continue your journey to the ancient ruins of the famous city – Sumharam, also known as Khor Rohri. The city was well-known as the easternmost outpost of the Hadramawt Kingdom, located on the ancient incense route in between the Mediterranean Sea, Persian Gulf as well as India. However, Khor Rori was even a port on the Dhofar Coast, and was one of the major trading cities with frankincense. It’s been believed that, the city was the hub and harbor for the shipping of Frankincense ( the UNESCO World Heritage site).

You will back to West Salalah and discover the ‘evergreen Wadi Darbat’ while taking a relaxing stroll along the Wadi bed. It’s been surrounded by huge herds of Camels, Goats and Cattle. In the Khareef Season – falls usually in the monsoon period, you can witness arounf an 100m natural waterfall, stretching its ‘tentacles’ into several lakes as well as lush green vegetation.

Thereafter, proceed to the “Qara Mountains”in order to explore the most of West Salalah. Along the road, the herds of camels and cattle are the common sightsoffering a scenic view of a traditional Dhofari rural beauty like nowhere else. You will visit the ancient tomb – the ‘Prophet Job’ located in the scenic greenish mountains of the Salalah Plains.

Then, you will proceed to the beach of Mughsail – the place where the white sand touches the deep blue colors of the ocean. At a high tide, its waves burst through the natural titanic ‘Blow Holes’, at the far-end of the ‘Rocky beach’ featuring a cave-like entry.

You will continue your trip along the ‘Hair-pin-bend’ road – taking you towards the Western Border of Oman. Along the road, seethe breathtaking cliffs on either side, the historical ‘Frankincense trees’ growing in their natural habitat, – deep down in the valleys, dotting the dry as well as craggy countryside. You can take a short walk into the valleys to get a beautiful fragrance of the ‘Holy Incense’ amidst the serene view of the region.

After that, you will return to the Salalah Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 09 – Final Departure from Salalah Airport

We provide departure transfers from the Salalah Airport to catch the flight back home best suiting your flight schedule.

Discover the beauty of Oman and the marvels of modern Dubai in 8 day Oman Dubai Tour Package. Experience the historical sights of Sultanate of Oman and the most amazing attractions and then fly to Dubai to explore all of it.

Tour Details

Day 1: arrival muscat.

Your tour manager will meet & assist you at Muscat International Airport after luggage & customs area, and then he will escort you to your hotel in​ ​Muscat.

Meals Included

D​ay ​2: muscat ​city tour.

​​Leave your hotel after breakfast and drive through the beautiful embassy quarter of Muscat en route to Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Visit the grand mosque, a religious landmark of Muscat and splendor of unique Islamic architecture (Islamic dress code is compulsory). This mosque of superlatives completed in 2001, refers to be the main mosque in Oman and one of the two mosques in Sultanate, which you could visit as a non-Muslim (other one is in Salalah). Witness the world’s second larg​​est handmade carpet and huge chandeliers in the main prayer hall.​ On your way back to the city center you will go past the Opera House, the Gulf′s only concert hall, and reach the old town. Then visit the 16th -Century forts Jalali and Mirani. Stroll around the old city quarter and have a photo-stop at the Qasr Al Alam, the official Palace of HM Sultan Qaboos. This palace is mainly used for representative purposes of His Majesty. Visit Bait Al Zubair Museum with its wealth of information and exhibits on the country’s culture, tradition and heritage. Drive to Muttrah, a delightful quarter of Muscat. Muttrah souq is one of the most beautiful oriental markets in the Gulf States. Step into the fish market, stroll along the Corniche to admire the beautiful merchant houses and experience the shopping in the busy souk. The largest and oldest bazaar of Oman is traditionally divided into zones for selling a variegated array of shops with souvenirs, antiques, frankincense, gold, textiles, leather goods, jewelry, traditional sabers and many other goods.​ Drive back to hotel.

The museum and the Grand Mosque are not open on Fridays or during public and religious holidays.

D​ay 3: N​akhal - Wadi Bani Auf

Meet your guide at your hotel at 08:00 and head off in a 4x4 toward Nakhl fortress and Al Thowara Oasis. See the palm groves and natural springs of the oasis and visit Nakhl, a 17th century fortress perched on a hilltop with stunning views of the surrounding area. Proceed up a mountain track into the Hajar Mountain Range to Wadi Bani Auf. You will see a dirt track leading west along the ridge if you follow it you will find fantastic views, excellent camping spots. There you can visit a centuries old village hidden among the mountains. Back to Muscat by late afternoon. The trip will last approximately 8 hours.

D​ay ​4: ​Nizwa & Jabal Akhdar Day Tour

​Set out for Muscat at 08:00 with your guide to travel 145 kilometers to the medieval capital of Oman, Nizwa. There you will visit a 17th century hilltop fortresses overlooking the town and the souq. After your tour, you will continue onward toward Jabal Akhdar (‘Green Mountain’) in your 4x4 vehicle. Tracking an offroad track you will climb toward the peak, which is nearly 3000 meters tall. The edges of this valley are dotted with small villages and terraced fields making for a stunning setting. You will continue to the peak of the mountain, which has views over the whole region. There is also a hotel at the peak, which will offer you light refreshments and tea or coffee (optional). Leaving the peak, you will return to Muscat, arriving back at your hotel by around 16:00. The tour will last approximately 8 hours.

Day 5: F​ly to Dubai

After breakfast, transfer to Muscat International Airport for ​your flight to Dubai, upon arrival, our Rep will transfer you to your hotel in Dubai​.​ Check in and Overnight​

Day 6: Dubai City Tour (Small Group Tour)

You will be picked up from your hotel to start your tour by taking photos to the historical Dubai Creek the life blood of Dubai, Then we continue our journey along an old architectural masterpiece, the Al Fahidi Fort the first building has been built in Dubai which houses the Dubai Museum​​, Old Mosque then drive to Zaabeel Area where we pass by Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid’s Palace, the current ruler of Dubai and Sheikh Hamadan bin Rashid Palace.

Next we will be passing by the magnificent Jumeirah Mosque and halting for a photo stop at the world’s Luxurious hotel on a manmade island ofBurj Al Arab. We continue our journey to the Palm Jumeirah, a man made island which shape resembles a palm tree. then a head to Atlantis the Palm.

Day 7: Dubai Desert Safari, BBQ Dinner, Falcon Experience

You will be picked up from your hotel to drive across the mystic sands of the Hatta Desert & Fossil Rocks. The thrill begins as your driver takes you up and down the golden sands of Arabia before stopping on the highest sand dune, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful view. Here you can experience the thrill of sand-boarding. Upon reaching the desert, you can take pictures with Falcons, one of the oldest cultures of UAE.

Back in the car, you will be taken on to a VIP Bedouin campsite complete with a henna designer, local attire and refreshment for your enjoyment. Be adventurous and try a camel ride. Return back to the camp and dine on a delicious barbeque dinner as the stars come out and an enchanting belly dancer performs a fascinating routine to Arabian music. Complete the experience with your very own shisha pipe, available in many aromatic flavours before heading to your hotel. NB:  Please note that infants under 3 years are not permitted to join safari trips.

Oman Entry Visa

You need to have a valid passport at least 6 months beyond your scheduled return date to enter Oman. The cost of single entry visa is OMR5 (around £8) for 10 days obtained upon arrival at the airport. Muscat City Tour - The Fascinating Capital Drive through the beautiful embassy quarter of Muscat to Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Visit the mosque - a splendour of unique Islamic architecture (Islamic dress code to be observed). Our next stop is the Bait Al Zubair Museum with its wealth of information and exhibits on the country's culture, tradition and heritage. Then on to Muttrah, a delightful quarter of Muscat. Stroll along the Corniche to see the beautiful merchant houses and discover the shopping experience in the busy souk, well known for its silver-craft shops, perfumes, souvenirs and much more to buy. Via the old pass road drive to the former capital of Oman, the old town of Muscat. Walk along the wall of H.H. the Sultan's Palace and see the forts Jalali and Mirani.

In the afternoon - leisure or optional shopping. Overnight / Breakfast in Muscat

Voyage into the Past Drive to Barka and visit the fish market and Bait Na'am, a former rest house of the ruling family. Then continue along the Batinah plain to Al Hazm. Visit the impressive Al Hazm Fort. Proceed to Ain Al Kasfah, to view the hot springs before driving through picturesque Wadis (dry riverbeds) to the oasis of Nakhl and Ain Thowara. This is the place for a picnic lunch and wandering around before visiting Nakhl Fort.

Coastal Delights Off road experience along the magnificent coastline to Sur. The tour begins by taking the road to the coastal town of Quriyat, famous for its beautiful beaches. Then onto a photo stop at the "sinkhole", where a part of the mountain has collapsed and has filled with seawater. The next stop is the White Beach, where picnic lunch will be served and with time for a swim in the Indian Ocean. Proceed to Tiwi and the picturesque Wadi Shaab - wander around its lush vegetation. Stop at the archeological site Bibi Myriam in Qalhat and reach Sur. A short visit of the ancient seafaring town and its dhow yard where the traditional wooden ships are built with simple tools.

Wadi Bani Khaled and Wahibah Desert We proceed to Wadi Bani Khaled, one of Oman's most beautiful wadis, famous for its lush green oases, water pools and deep canyons. Before proceeding for an exciting dune drive over the dunes, lunch is served in a local restaurant. Visit a camel camp and gain an unforgettable experience of the Bedouins way of life. Proceed via Mudairib village, famous for its many watchtowers, to Nizwa. (Separate luggage transfer from Muscat to Nizwa).

Nizwa - The Glorious Capital of the Past Visit the busy cattle market, the traditional Nizwa souk and the impressive 17th Century Nizwa Fort.
