Hotel El Conquistador Puerto Rico

Viajar a Puerto Rico

Viajar a Puerto Rico

"My boyfriend and I loved every second of our tour. Although it was mainly an in car experience due to covid restrictions but we had a BLAST. Narayan, our tour guide, was so informative and knowledgeable on the history of San Juan. Please ask for him if you go on a tour!!! He’s literally the best and has a great personality as well. He takes AWESOME pics of you too. He made our vacation so much more memorable. 10/10 recommend :)"

"My favorite part of the experience was the personality, professionalism, and great tour guides Narayan & Lismar. They made sure we were educated about the history of the island, they had a great amount of knowledge, and were so kind. They made sure we were safe at all times (even when some of group was a little daring) I look forward to booking with them in the future."

"We loved the tour. Both guides were very knowledgeable about Puerto Rico. They showed us a lot of the different cities and different beautiful beaches. They made us feel like we’ve known them for years. They are family oriented, easy to talk to and very down to earth. Excellent tour!!! Thanks so much Lismar and Narayan."

"Narayan De Jesus took us on a wonderful tour of the rain forest, very informative guide. The hike up the hill/mountain looks a little daunting when you first get out of the van but with the winding path it is not that difficult. Took walking stick, did not realy need it. Was glad we took our binoculars, at the top we were able to see seven differnt islands, St Johns was one of them."

We had a great time on the waterfall hike, cliff dive and rope swing tour. The entire experience was great. Be prepared for a good and muddy hike, a bit challenging in places over the rocks. Bring good water shoes or hiking shoes but they will get dirty and wet! We definitely recommend these guys.

We did the rain forest, horse back riding and the Culebra Island tours and they were amazing! The rain forest is for active people and there is some climbing involved to get to the good part. The horse back riding was pretty relaxing and beautiful. And the Island was absolutely breathtaking!

Best tour in San Juan! I’ve been going for 5 years now and I will NEVER let anyone take us on a tour unless it is with Carlos and his team! Good people, good experience, good times to come back to!

It was phenomenal. We had such a great time. We went to the forest and the tour guide was very helpful. I would highly recommend them. Plus we had good empanadas and good drinks. If you want fun and nice drinks while you explore the rainforest with nice people then go for this tour!

Biden administration moves to bolster solar power in Puerto Rico

T he Biden administration made a pair of announcements Thursday that aim to bolster solar energy in Puerto Rico — which frequently deals with power outages.

The Energy Department announced a conditional agreement to loan $861 million to finance the construction of two solar farms and batteries to keep the power stored even when it’s not sunny.

The department will also provide up to an additional $325 million for solar and battery storage as part of a new program aimed at helping the island’s power become more resilient to extreme weather.

The nearly $900 million loan will go to Clean Flexible Energy LLC, a joint venture between electric utility AES and energy company TotalEnergies Holdings USA.

The solar power produced by the two farms are expected to be enough to supply energy to about 43,000 homes each year.

The other funding was set forth by Congress in an annual appropriations bill. It will award up to $140 million for projects at community health care facilities and up to $185 million for projects at multi-family housing.

“Through the Programa de Comunidades Resilientes, we’re expanding solar access to community healthcare facilities and subsidized multifamily housing, helping bring resilience and safety to even more families on the Island,” Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said in a written statement.

Puerto Rico has had long-standing power issues , exacerbated by storms like 2017’s Hurricane Maria and 2022’s Hurricane Fiona.

Frederik Kjettrup captured his second PGA TOUR Americas victory at the ATB Classic. (Jay Fawler/PGA TOUR)

Change Text Size

Frederik Kjettrup has two wins in two starts on PGA TOUR Americas, as the Florida State alum won the ATB Classic last weekend in Sherwood Park, Alberta. With the victory, Kjettrup moved to No. 1 in the Fortinet Cup and became the first player to win his first two starts on his member tour (PGA TOUR sanctioned) since Ben Kohles won his first two starts on Korn Ferry Tour in 2012. If the Dane tallies another PGA TOUR Americas victory this season, he will qualify for a three-win promotion and earn Korn Ferry Tour membership for the remainder of 2024 and the 2025 season.

Kjettrup, the No. 8 player in the PGA TOUR University Class of 2024, becomes the sixth alumnus with multiple professional victories, joining Pierceson Coody (three wins), Ludvig Åberg (two), John Pak (two), Trevor Werbylo (two) and Noah Goodwin (two). In all, PGA TOUR U alumni have combined to win 22 professional events since the first class turned pro in June 2021.

Five total alumni finished in the top 10 at the ATB Classic. Baylor’s John Keefer finished three strokes behind Kjettrup and tied for second, his second top-five finish to begin his career. Mateo Fernandez de Oliveira was T8 and improved to 10th in the Fortinet Cup, while Chase Sienkiewicz finished T6 and Reid Davenport finished T8.

On the Korn Ferry Tour, Austin Greaser recorded a third-round 63 and started Sunday one shot off the lead, and the 2024 graduate went on to finish T4 at the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS. Jackson Suber carded a career-best 60 in the second round en route to finishing third, his second straight top-three showing, and Sam Bennett finished T8 for his third top-10 of the season.

At the Rocket Mortgage Classic, Davis Thompson led the contingent of 10 PGA TOUR U alumni and finished T2. The field also included three current college players – Florida State’s Luke Clanton finished T10 in his second start on the PGA TOUR, Virginia’s Ben James was T44, and Auburn’s Jackson Koivun missed the cut. Clanton will make his second straight TOUR start this week at the John Deere Classic, and he’ll be joined by Jackson Buchanan of Illinois.
