Denver Travel & Adventure Show returns Feb. 25-26 at Convention Center

The Denver Travel & Adventure Show returns to the Colorado Convention Center from Feb. 25-26. This show is the ultimate destination for guests to plan, personalize and book their next vacation. Visitors have the opportunity to meet and learn from top experts from around the globe, with hundreds of destinations represented for guests to explore and a variety of free onsite activities.

Keynote presenters Pauline Frommer, Peter Greenberg and Brian Kelly will appear in the main Travel Theater. They are among the more than 30 educational seminars from noted travel experts being offered in one of three educational theaters located throughout the show floor.

The show features more than 200 exhibitors with several first-timers joining the many returning favorites. These include some of the world’s top destinations from international hotspots like the Caribbean, Korea and Africa to closer-to-home favorites such as Florida, California, Texas and of course, Colorado. Each exhibit offers travel experts to answer questions, give real-time updates on travel protocols, and create custom itineraries based on attendees’ travel goals.

“The Travel & Adventure Show is designed to be an adventure in and of itself and this year, we’ll continue to give visitors the opportunity to sample cultures and destinations from around the world, right here in Denver,” said John Golicz, Unicomm CEO. “Whether travelers are looking to book their next cruise, find their new favorite exotic destination or uncover a hidden gem near home, they’re sure to find exactly what they’re looking for.”

The Denver Travel & Adventure Show hosts a variety of experiences across the two-day event. The full schedule of panels, performances and demonstrations is available travelshows.com/shows/denver . The show floor opens at 9:30 a.m. for media and travel professionals and at 10 a.m. for the general public on Feb. 25 and closes at 5 p.m. The show runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 26.

Attendees can purchase single-day and two-day tickets online now for the discounted rate of $11/$18 or on-site for $15/$22. Children 16 and under are free and on-site tickets can be purchased with cash only. Admission for children ages 16 and under is free. Travel & Adventure Show 2023: A Must for Cruise and Travel Fans

The Travel & Adventure Show is coming to nine US cities in 2023. Find out why this fun two-day travel exhibition is a must for anyone who loves traveling.

Last spring, I enjoyed visiting the Travel & Adventure Show in Boston , and as a travel fanatic it was the perfect way to spend a weekend, even though I wasn’t far from home!

But don’t worry that you missed the boat with the last exhibition. The Travel & Adventure Show is once again visiting nine US cities in the spring of 2023.

At this two-day gathering, travel fans can meet with dozens of friendly people from around the world who represent travel brands, and there’s always a variety of exhibitors. You’ll see booths for cruise lines, independent tour operators, tourism boards, luxury resorts, airlines—there’s something for every kind of traveler.

What is the Travel & Adventure Show?

For seventeen years the Travel & Adventure Show has hosted annual travel exhibitions in major US cities. They’ve done over a hundred of these events so far, with a total of over 2.1 million visitors!

Each show offers over 100 travel-focused exhibitor booths, featuring both domestic and international destinations.

Stroll through the exhibition halls and pick up literature from travel companies you’re interested in, snag some free logo goodies, and enter drawings to win prizes.

Plus, you can sit in on any of their dozens of free live seminars and travel talks, held on three stages throughout the event.

Speakers at the Travel & Adventure Show

One of my favorite parts of the show was attending the inspirational travel seminars. For my 2022 visit, there were over thirty of them on three stages, so be sure to plan out which ones you want to see! And yes, all the seminars are included in the price of your ticket.

My last Boston show had several featured speakers, including Andrew McCarthy (yes, the Pretty in Pink and St. Elmo’s Fire actor!), beloved travel show host Samantha Brown , and Pauline Frommer —the author, TV host, and Editorial Director of Frommer’s Guidebooks.

On the main stage, known as the Travel Theater, the featured speakers entertained and inspired us with stories of their travels throughout the world.

At the end of each seminar there’s a brief Q&A session, followed by a meet and greet so you can interact (and maybe snap a photo) with the speakers.

Pro tip: If you want to meet one of your fave speakers without standing in a long line, get up during the Q&A session at the very end of the seminar and head over to the Meet & Greet stand. You’ll still be able to hear the end of the session, but you’ll be at the front of the line!

Featured speakers vary by city, and (of course) the list of speakers is subject to change. Check out my chart below with all of last year’s featured speakers for each city.

When the 2023 Travel & Adventure Show speakers are finalized, I’ll update this post. So bookmark it if you’re thinking about attending!

Featured speakers at the 2022 Travel & Adventure Shows

In addition to the Travel Theater , the exhibition also features two other stages hosting interesting travel talks on various topics:

Destination Theater:  A variety of destination experts will inspire you to travel, sharing in-depth information about how to experience their favorite places like a local.

Savvy Traveler Theater:  Here you’ll find travel pros sharing their best travel tips—like how to pack for your vacation, budget travel hacks, and how to stay safe when you travel.

Buying tickets for the Travel & Adventure Show

Although it seems like the price of just about everything has skyrocketed over the past year, I’m thrilled to report that Travel & Adventure Show tickets cost the same as last year!

Tickets are still $16 for one day and $24 for both days (online or at the door). Kids age 16 and under get in free with an adult.

My wife and I attended your presentation in Rocky Mount, NC on April 3rd because we were told we would receive a voucher for a cruise just by attending. Also the first 50 attendees would receive a $100 dinner voucher. We responded to the mail immediately upon receiving it, we went to the presentation, and received nothing so far. This is smelling like a scam.

Hi John, I'm an independent travel blogger who attended the Travel & Adventure show in Boston as a member of the media. I have no affiliation with the company. The real Travel & Adventure Show takes place annually in large cities across the US. As far as I know it's never been held in the small city of Rocky Mount, NC. You may have been scammed/lied to by another company with a similar name.

Plan Ahead for the Denver Travel & Adventure Show

The 2023 Denver Travel & Adventure Show has come and gone and we sure hope you went. If you didn’t, here’s some incentive to plan ahead for next year’s event, March 16-17, 2024! Colorado writer, Ron Stern attended on behalf of In Good Taste Denver and reports back with what you can expect. 

Editor’s Note: Upcoming 2023-24 dates of Travel & Adventure Shows will make stops in Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Washington DC, San Francisco Bay, and Denver. You can visit the website for dates and tickets. At each show, g et up-to-date travel-related information for travel all over the world. Talk to, and get information from destinations, travel providers, and experts who can provide helpful tips. Examples of representatives you’ll see at the shows, depending on which ones you visit, include The Islands of Tahiti, Tourism Ireland, David McGuffin’s Exploring Europe, Celebrity Cruises, Viking River cruises, Turkish Airlines, Hertz, and others. What it’s like to attend the Denver Travel & Adventure Show:

The Denver Travel and Adventure Show made its sixth appearance at the Colorado Convention Center on February 25-26, 2023. With the shadow of Covid-19 restrictions fading as well as an increased number of vendors from last year, this event brought in thousands looking for ways to save money and learn about the latest travel information and offerings.

This year the hall was well attended by representatives from international and global destinations, tour operators, travel agents, and cruise lines. A litany of speakers offered information such as how to pack, arrange private tours, African safaris, travel photography, and much more.

Just a sampling of attendees would give anyone the travel itch. They included Alaska Land and Sea Adventures, Bahamas Tourism Office, Cayman Islands, Dream Yacht Charter, Reef Secrets Resorts, Korea Tourism Office, and Viking Cruises.

There were some providers, in particular that caught my attention at the Denver Travel & Adventure Show. Here is a short list of some of them:

GoCamp is a large, well-outfitted camper van that drew many curious onlookers who wondered what it was all about. The boutique company called Go Camp Rentals offers a fleet of curated nationwide peer-to-peer camper vans for rent. Individual owners offer a variety of mobile accommodations such as Volkswagen Vanagons, Europevans, Mercedes-Benz Sprinters, Dodge Ram ProMasters and more. These are all completely outfitted and ready for the road.

All of the arrangements are made online including where to pick up your van, insurance, and all the equipment needed for a trip. The idea seems to be catching on with more vehicles being added all the time. Owners can make money from their vehicle downtime and renters receive a well-maintained, unique camper van experience.

Tours by Locals connects travelers to local guides whose knowledge and experience can create the perfect private tour. They use hand-picked, “first-rate” guides in 160 countries and offer easy online booking and 24/7 customer service.

A company called Arreva Advantage offers travel protection services such as out-of-country medical, emergency evacuation, and others in tiered packages. These range in price from a list of la carte services such as premium protection, total coverage, and pandemic protection. They say they have no age bias and have 24/7 travel and medical concierge services.

If you’ve never experienced an authentic old western church wagon supper, Flying W Ranch just outside of Colorado Springs offers the real thing on their working cattle ranch. With a spectacular red rock mountain backdrop, you can enjoy a cowboy stage show and have a mouthwatering dinner of smoked beef brisket, turkey, and sausage, trail beans, baked potato, buttermilk biscuits and old-fashioned spice cake.

You can look forward to next year’s show, which will be held March 16-17, or check other cities for their times and dates.
