Beverly Hills

A guide to Beverly Hills

Get to know the upscale city beyond Rodeo Drive with the best restaurants, bars, shops and more in Beverly Hills

Michael Juliano

What’s the deal with Beverly Hills?

Utter that well-known zip code—90210—and a particular image of Beverly Hills probably comes to mind: sports cars, celebrities, swanky hotels and high-end shops. While its stake as a pricey, entertainment industry-dominated city is certainly merited—there’s an unusually high concentration of splurgeworthy spas and drinks that break the bank —Beverly Hills is a much more approachable area than reality TV may lead you to believe.

Where exactly is Beverly Hills?

Beverly Hills is surrounded by other high-end neighborhoods, with West Hollywood to the east and Century City and Westwood, home of UCLA, to the west. Despite its name, most of Beverly Hills actually sits within the “flats,” with pedestrian-friendly districts along Santa Monica Boulevard, Wilshire Boulevard and the triangle of streets near their intersection (including Rodeo Drive). North of Sunset Boulevard, the city turns into a hilly haven of palatial estates.

To get around

Though you’ll need a car to get to Beverly Hills, it’s a city best explored by foot, with tree-lined streets and meticulously well-groomed shopping plazas. Explore the best of Beverly Hills, from rooftop bars to botanical gardens , with our guide to the Westside city.

11 Top-Rated Things to Do in Beverly Hills, CA

Written by Brad Lane Updated Dec 27, 2023 We may earn a commission from affiliate links ( )

Author Brad Lane has taken multiple trips to California and spent several months in 2022 traveling throughout the state for PlanetWare.

Beverly Hills is one of the most posh places to visit in the United States . This metropolis is home to mega-mansions, celebrity sightings, and a high-end style that even radiates from the sidewalks, especially on the world-famous Rodeo Drive . And incredibly, all this glitz and glamour is encompassed within 5.7 square miles, tucked against the Santa Monica Mountains .

Beverly Hills sign in Beverly Gardens Park

While Beverly Hills is popular for the Hollywood elite, it's an accessible city for all to enjoy. Santa Monica Boulevard is one side of the city's " Golden Triangle " of upscale shopping, dining, and people-watching. Many visits comprise simply strolling this core district, also bounded by Wilshire Boulevard and Rodeo Drive.

But it's not all retail, restaurants, and admiring expensive automobiles in Beverly Hills. Stunning parks and gardens also vie for attention, as do performance halls and historical monuments. And in the hills above Sunset Drive on the west side of the city, opulent mansions define a sizable chunk of the city's architectural appeal.

Plan your own luxurious getaway with our list of the top attractions in Beverly Hills.

Rodeo Drive

Nowhere exudes the high-fashion and luxury lifestyle like Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. World-famous boutiques and restaurants line this luxe thoroughfare, accompanied by palm trees and Bentleys parked next to the curb. And if you hear a sudden barrage of camera shutters, that probably means an A-list celebrity is somewhere nearby.

Rodeo Drive is one base of the city's " Golden Triangle ," alongside Santa Monica and Wilshire Boulevards. Over 100 stores, restaurants, and five-star hotels comprise the roughly three blocks of this opulent district. Endless high-end experiences await in this ritzy part of town for those looking to live in the lap of luxury.

The Rodeo Drive Walk of Style is often sought out and is one of the free things to do on Rodeo Drive. Like the Hollywood Walk of Fame, this public walkway features gold plaques celebrating influential fashion icons who've made an impression on Beverly Hills. Past recipients have included Giorgio Armani and Gianni & Donatella Versace.

Two Rodeo Drive

Visiting Rodeo Drive and the Golden Triangle is a rewarding experience, no matter the amount of interest in shopping or dining. The entire district feels a bit like a foreign country, reminiscent of Europe or an island paradise. Places like Two Rodeo Drive , adorned with cobblestone streets, evoke this European flair.

Beverly Gardens Park

Beverly Gardens Park is a signature outdoor space in the city. This 1.9-acre linear park stretches from Wilshire Boulevard to North Doheny Drive, next to Santa Monica Boulevard . A compact gravel pathway navigates the whole park, connecting several art installations, gardens, and two decorative fountains on either end.

The 40-foot-long Beverly Hills Sign is perhaps the most famous sight at the park, if not the most photographed. This iconic sign sits atop a lily pond, surrounded by the largest section of Beverly Gardens Park. Here, picnic benches and a courtyard lend a beautiful view to sculptures and art pieces installed in the area.

On the western end of the park, at the intersection of Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards, the Electric Fountain is also a prominent place to visit for photographers. Decorative mosaics surround this historic fountain, and lighting enhances it in the evening.

Cactus garden in the Beverly Gardens Park

Another notable attraction of Beverly Gardens is a historic cactus garden . And a second water fountain, the Doheny Fountain , is on the park's eastern end. Beverly Gardens Park is also home to a few notable community events, including the Beverly Hills Art Show in the spring and fall.

Address: 9439 Santa Monica Blvd, Beverly Hills, California

Beverly Hills City Hall

It doesn't require a long walk to see a lot in Beverly Hills, and the sidewalks are the best way to get around. The main focus is around Santa Monica Boulevard and Rodeo Drive. Alongside high-end fashion boutiques, pedestrians also encounter elegant architecture and eye-catching art. Palm trees also line the route, flourishing in the sunny weather and adjacent parklands.

The Beverly Hills Visitor Center, Love Beverly Hills , publishes several walking tour maps that cater to various interests. Every sightseeing tour includes several stops, all within short walking distance of Rodeo Drive. The different walking tours include art and culture, historic Beverly Hills, Hollywood screening locations, and ways to spend the day with a family.

A few prominent spots on a walking tour include Beverly Gardens Park and Beverly Hills City Hall . And Two Rodeo Drive is on almost every itinerary, also known as the cobblestoned gateway to Rodeo Drive. This entire city's core area is incredibly photogenic, often including people strutting along the sidewalks.

Public Art in Beverly Hills

Walking this core area of Beverly Hills is not only an easy way to check out several tourist attractions and top things to do, it cuts down on the difficult task of parking. The 4 Line from downtown LA has four stops along Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills for those looking to ditch the vehicle altogether.

Dining in Beverly Cañon Gardens

Alongside high-fashion and luxury, Beverly Hills is well-known for its food scene. And while a few of the menus reflect the upscale quality of the city, other more casual options still come with a side of charm. But if you're planning to dine out in style, be sure to schedule a reservation, especially on the weekends.

In part because of the beautiful weather and the city's expanding policy on outdoor dining areas, al fresco dining is an easy option in Beverly Hills. Outdoor dining opportunities abound for all three meals of the day, ranging from sidewalk cafés to intimate fire-lit patios.

There's a new restaurant to check out with each visit to Beverly Hills. A few notable longstanding classics include The Grill on the Alley , near Two Rodeo Drive, and La Dolce Vita, an old Hollywood haunt. And visitors for the last 90 years have enjoyed Lawry's The Prime Rib on La Cienega Boulevard.

Greystone Mansion

The city of Beverly Hills owns this massive 1920s mansion on the north side of the city, accessible off Sunset Boulevard. The estate sits atop a beautifully landscaped 13 acres open to exploring. It's a popular place to visit for photo shoots (by permit only) and has been a frequent locale in Hollywood productions.

The interior of Greystone Mansion is generally closed to the public, besides special events and private tours. The exterior provides plenty to explore, though, especially when coupled with the typically sunny weather of the city. Formal gardens at Greystone include water fountain centerpieces and tree-lined courtyards.

Formal gardens at Greystone

Film lovers will recognize the mansion from such major blockbusters as The Big Lebowski , and There Will be Blood . Other notable movies include Spider-Man and The Social Network . The estate has also appeared in scores of family portraits, engagement photos, and similar productions. Permits are required for any commercial photography.

Currently, the mansion is open Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. There's no fee for admission, though reservations are required.

Address: 905 Loma Vista Drive, Beverly Hills, California

Franklin Canyon Park

Franklin Canyon Park encompasses over 600 acres on the north side of Beverly Hills, easily accessible from Beverly Drive. This vast expanse of open space in an otherwise dense part of Los Angeles is a welcome reprieve for those who like to experience nature.

The park has a network of trails navigating the length of the park. The closest trails to Beverly Hills are the 0.3-mile Discovery Trail and the 2.3-mile Hastain Trail. The Discovery Trail is a favorite family hike, featuring an easy loop through walnut woodland, while the Hastain Trail has a steep uphill climb.

Farther north in the park, other trails like the Ranch Trail explore the canyon's reservoir. This area has several interpretive stops detailing the unique history of the canyon. The reservoir is a popular stop for birders —and birds—as it's a common resting point along the Pacific Coast Flyway. Bring binoculars on a visit.

Goldsmith Theater at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts is a world-class performance space in the heart of Beverly Hills. It's across Santa Monica Boulevard from Beverly Gardens Park, near Crescent Drive, and it's lauded in Southern California for its dynamic catalog of performances.

The center takes up what feels like its own city block. It comprises two distinct eye-catching buildings, including the 1933 Beverly Hills Post Office . Adjoining this historic Italianate-style public utility is the 500-seat Goldsmith Theater. This mix of historical and contemporary sets the stage for many events and shows the performance center puts on every year.

Alongside scheduled performances featuring celebrities both on stage and in the crowd, the Wallis also hosts several community events and engagements. Perhaps none is as notable as the monthly Sunday Funday family events featuring live music and dance parties.

Address: 9390 N Santa Monica Blvd, Beverly Hills, California

Citrus for sale at the Beverly Hills Farmers Market

There's always something fun happening in Beverly Hills. The city's event calendar spans the entire year, always with pleasant weather to enjoy. From pet parades to classic automobile shows, many of these community events take place on the weekend, but other celebrated get-togethers, like the monthly First Thursdays events, occur throughout the week.

A few signature Beverly Hills events include the Beverly Hills Farmers Market , occurring every Sunday, rain or shine, and Concerts on Canon , on Thursdays throughout the summer. These family-friendly events are free to attend and often involve some of the best people-watching in town.

The Beverly Hills ARTshow is another signature event to mark on the calendar. This massive collection of local and regional artists occurs on two different weekends each year, in the spring and the fall. The show takes place in Beverly Gardens Park, and each season typically attracts over 50,000 attendees.

Spadena House

This unique and photogenic home is on the other side of Santa Monica Boulevard from the shopping at the Golden Triangle. Its other common name is The Witch's House , thanks to its whimsical and spooky nature.

The Spadena House is a private residence, and only a visual attraction appreciated from the sidewalk. Still, with its proximity to Beverly Gardens Park , it's a worthwhile detour to see the detail that went into the house.

Address: 516 Walden Drive, Beverly Hills, California

Virginia Robinson Gardens set the bar for luxurious Beverly Hills mansions when it was built in 1911. It's credited as the city's first luxury estate and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Public tours are available of this still opulent residence and grounds, by appointment only .

The longstanding nature of the home and the docent-led tours attract history buffs to this old Hollywood hangout. And the decadent landscaping of the property's six acres also attracts green thumbs and photographers.

Tours are generally offered Monday through Friday and last approximately 90 minutes. Due to the historic nature of the property, Virginia Robinson Gardens is not wheelchair accessible.

Santa Monica

Los Angeles and Beverly Hills share a border, making Beverly Hills the most luxurious city in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area. This proximity also makes many of the best attractions of Los Angeles within a short drive, including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the adjacent La Brea Tar Pits, less than three miles from Beverly Gardens Park.

The rest of LA County is also easily accessible, including some of the best day trips from Los Angeles , top weekend adventures, and the most beautiful beaches in LA . These long lists of attractions have enough to keep anyone busy every month of the year.

Beverly Hills is one of the most expensive cities in the U.S. It doesn't have any true budget hotels within its city limits, but you can find decent deals at the mid-range hotels listed below.

Luxury Hotels:

  • The award-winning L'Ermitage Beverly Hills is a 5-star property in the heart of the city. This hotel has 116 suites that are all spacious and beautifully appointed. All have balconies with city views. Guests are treated like royalty here, and the service is superlative. This hotel is dog friendly.
  • Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel is at the top of Rodeo Drive and is an iconic LA property (ever see Pretty Woman ?). It features contemporary luxe rooms and suites. Book dinner at the Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant on-site.
  • The Peninsula Beverly Hills is a beautiful resort. The grounds feature lush tropical gardens, and the rooms, suites and private villas are posh. The service is world class. There is a rooftop swimming pool, multiple restaurants and a spa on-site. Canine guests are also pampered here.
  • In a fantastic location just off Rodeo Drive, The Maybourne Beverly Hills is another ultra-luxe property. Rooms and suites are generous-sized and have views of the Hollywood Hills and surrounding city. There is a spa with a wellness mineral pool and a rooftop swimming pool.

Mid-Range Hotels:

  • A contemporary boutique property in a central location, Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills has a colorful courtyard with a pool and popular restaurant. Rooms are well-appointed and peaceful. The hotel is dog-friendly.
  • Try the Mosaic Hotel for an artsy mid-range sleep. This luxe boutique property recently underwent a redesign and rooms are stylish and modern with whimsical art. The restaurant serves California cuisine; there is a swimming pool with cabanas, and a fire pit for chilly nights.
  • Sonder Beverly Terrace is a 3-star boutique hotel with mid-century modern design throughout. The rooftop is a great place to unwind and there is an Italian restaurant with a garden courtyard on the ground level.
  • One of the best value hotels is the AC Hotel by Marriott Beverly Hills . This property is family friendly and welcomes pets. It has a rooftop swimming pool, restaurant, and fitness center on-site.

One Day Los Angeles Self-Driving Tour

TripSavvy / Kayte Deioma

What should you do in LA if you only have 1 day to spend? This one-day driving tour will give you a glimpse of the top LA sights from Hollywood to Venice Beach. It assumes you have your own car or a rental car for the day. If it's summer, start in Hollywood to end up in Venice for sunset on the beach. If it's winter and the sun is setting at 4 pm, do the tour in reverse and start at the beach, ending in Hollywood after dark.

If you don't have a car available, you can also book a Hop On-Hop Off City Sightseeing Tour to visit most of the same locations without the driving.

If you don't get out of the car, the drive alone takes about 1 and a half to two and a half hours, depending on traffic, but you can get out and take a look at many different stops and still do this route in a day.

So let's get started exploring Hollywood!

Walking Around Hollywood & Highland

TripSavvy / Christian Hundley

We wouldn't necessarily recommend staying at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, but it's worth taking a look inside at this historic Hollywood landmark, and it makes a good starting reference.

Start your morning with breakfast at Mel's Drive-In , one block east on Highland just south of Hollywood Blvd , or grab a bagel at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf across from the hotel, then cross the street to compare your hand and footprints to your favorite stars in the forecourt at TCL (Grauman's) Chinese Theatre . Not much in the Hollywood & Highland shopping center next door will be open before 10 or 11 a.m., but walk across the front of the complex past the Dolby Theatre where the Oscars are held to the staircase leading up to the Babylon Courtyard . Don't forget to look down at the Hollywood Walk of Fame as you're walking to see if your favorite entertainers' stars are on this block.

You can take the escalator up to the Babylon Courtyard, but then you won't get a chance to admire how the architects managed to frame a view of the Hollywood Sign as you ascend the center of the staircase. The Courtyard itself looks like a Hollywood set with giant elephant sculptures perched high above the three-level ring of shops. Make your way up to the viewing bridges at the back of the courtyard via stairways or escalators on either side for your photo opportunity with the Hollywood Sign and Hollywood Hills as a backdrop. You can also see the Hollywood Methodist Church with its red ribbon painted on the tower. In the 1943 movie War of the Worlds, terrified citizens took refuge in this church from attacking aliens.

Driving Through Hollywood

TripSavvy / Christian Hundley

Head back to your car and drive east on Hollywood Blvd, past some of Hollywood's other landmarks. The El Capitan Theatre and Disney Entertainment Center opposite Hollywood & Highland was restored by the Disney Company to its previous glory. The Jimmy Kimmel Live! show is taped in the Entertainment Center, while Disney films are screened at next door El Capitan with pre-show visits by costumed movie characters. The Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Disney Studio Store shares the building.

On the next block, next to the dinosaur-topped Ripley's Believe It or Not , just down Highland, you can see the pink and green art deco façade of the original Max Factor factory, which now houses the Hollywood Museum . Continuing east, on your right you will pass the American Cinematheque at the historic Egyptian Theatre and the Art Deco Hollywood icon that was originally Kress Department store. It spent a long time as Frederick’s of Hollywood before being converted to a short-lived restaurant and nightclub. Hollywood's oldest restaurant, Musso & Frank Grill will be on your left.

At Hollywood and Vine, you can look for metered street parking to stop and take a photo of the circular tower of the Capitol Records building, the Hollywood and Vine signs and sky trackers and another view of the Hollywood Sign or you can look left at them as you turn right down Vine Street. Either way, when you're ready, head south (away from the hills) on Vine Street, then turn right on Sunset Boulevard. The half-golf-ball Cinerama Dome is on your left. Amoeba Music, at Ivar, is THE place to shop for hard-to-find music including a vast collection of recordings on vinyl and tape.

Following are two different routes to take you west to the ocean, depending on what you would like to see.

  • Route A takes you west by Museum Row on the Miracle Mile and the La Brea Tar Pits , if you're interested in pre-historic saber tooth cats and mammoths.
  • Route B is west via the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood .

Route A via the La Brea Tar Pits and the Museum Mile

TripSavvy / Christian Hundley

Continue down Sunset to La Brea. Turn left on La Brea until you get to Wilshire (about 2 miles). Turn right on Wilshire. You're entering the Museum Row on the Miracle Mile, which includes the Craft and Folk Art Museum, the striking Petersen Automotive Museum - whose shiny steal ribbons over red surface look like a car rounding the corner from across the street - and the many buildings of the LA County Museum of Art .

As you pass Curson, look for metered parking on the right in front of Hancock Park near the Page Museum and the La Brea Tar Pits. If there is no parking available on Wilshire, turn right on Fairfax and right on 6th Street to park on the other side of the park or park in one of the pay lots. There are entrance gates from 6th Street and from Wilshire, but the biggest tar pits are near the Wilshire entrance.

Take a quick stroll through the park to see these active tar pits where more pre-historic fossils have been discovered than anyplace else on earth. Active excavations are underway and there are daily tours of the current excavation pit at 1 p.m. Fossils from these pits have found their way into museums all over the world, but the largest collection is here at the Page Museum.

Optional Detour:  If you're ready for lunch head up Fairfax to 3rd Street to the LA Farmer's Market to grab a bite at one of the many food vendors in this permanent market building. If you finish lunch quickly, you might have time to stroll next door for some shopping or celebrity spotting at The Grove .

Continue west on Wilshire to Rodeo Drive .

Route B via West Hollywood

Instead of turning left at La Brea, continue on Sunset through West Hollywood on the famed Sunset Strip. You'll pass the Comedy Store and Laugh Factory where many famous comics got their start. You'll also pass some of LA's most revered live rock n' roll venues, the Viper Room , the Whiskey A-Go-Go , and the Roxy. West Hollywood usually has an interesting collection of quirky billboards soaring above the sidewalk cafes, bars and shops that line the streets.

Entering Beverly Hills , Sunset becomes a windy road with green hedges and trees blocking your view of most of the mansions tucked behind them. You'll pass the famed Beverly Hills Hotel on the right. You can turn left off of Sunset for a detour down famed Rodeo Drive which is at a 6-way intersection crossing Sunset at the same place as Cañon Drive.

Continue down Rodeo Drive

Rodeo Drive on the 1 Day LA Tour

From Sunset, turn left and proceed through several blocks of well-groomed mansions before you arrive at the short stretch of high-end designer boutiques recognized around the world. Rodeo Drive dead ends into the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Wilshire Blvd. You can either go around the block and go back up to Sunset or turn right on Wilshire and head west toward the Beach.

If you're already on Wilshire, continue West to Rodeo Drive, which only goes to the right. Metered parking is available on Rodeo and surrounding streets, and some parking structures have an hour or 2 of free parking if you want to get out and walk around.

The designer shops only occupy three blocks, then Rodeo becomes a wide boulevard passing through a Beverly Hills neighborhood of multi-million-dollar mansions all the way back up to Sunset Blvd. Turn Left on Sunset heading west.

Sunset is a winding green route to the beach. Wilshire is an urban landscape of retail and commercial buildings with a green stretch through the L.A. Country Club.

If you want to take the Wilshire route, turn right at the Sunset 6-way intersection down Cañon Drive, then veer right at the next block on Beverly Drive, just to give you a different view back down to Wilshire, where you’ll turn right and pass Rodeo Drive again on your way to  the beach .

If you're in any kind of a hurry, the Wilshire route is usually slower, but they'll both be pretty leisurely.

To Santa Monica via Sunset Boulevard

If you take Sunset, you'll drive by UCLA on the left. You can detour through campus if you're interested. It's a beautiful campus. Beyond UCLA, after you pass Will Rogers State Historic Park veer left on Chautauqua as Sunset veers right. (If you miss Chautauqua, Sunset goes all the way to the beach, but it will add several additional curvy miles to the route.) Chautauqua will take you down to the ocean, where you will turn left on Pacific Coast Highway (known locally as PCH). PCH is a limited-access highway as it comes into Santa Monica . Take a slight left from PCH onto California Incline, which is basically a left-exiting off-ramp from PCH to Ocean Blvd, where you will turn right for a few blocks before turning left on Broadway and right into the parking structure adjacent to the Santa Monica Place Mall. Alternately, if you miss California Incline, you can   stay in the right lane and follow the signs to take the middle exit on Moomat Ahiko Way (as PCH turns left and Appian Way goes straight), then turn left on Ocean and right on Broadway to the parking structure. If you miss the curve and end up on Appian Way, take the next left up to Ocean.

Be sure to stay right and NOT follow the Pacific Coast Highway or you'll end up on the freeway. If that does happen, take the first exit, Lincoln, turn left on Lincoln back to Colorado Ave, then take a left back to the beach. The parking structure will be on your right after 4th street.

Parking structures 7 and 8 adjacent to the mall have free 90-minute parking, $1 for the next hour and $1.50 per 30 minutes after that. The lower floors are 3 hours only.  A few other downtown lots have the same rates. There is also parking at the Civic Center, or there are multiple pay lots at the beach and short-term metered street parking.

To Santa Monica via Wilshire

Take Wilshire through Beverly Hills and Century City, into Santa Monica to 4th Street; turn left on 4th. Turn Right on Broadway and left into the Santa Monica Place parking structure.

Alternately, if you're running late and it's not rush hour, you can take Wilshire to the 405 Freeway South, exit to the 10 Freeway west, exit 4th Street at the end of the freeway. Follow the sign for 4th Street, then turn left off of 4th onto Broadway and into the parking structure.

Exploring Santa Monica

Parking is free in the Santa Monica Place parking structure for the first 90 minutes, as are other city parking structures in the vicinity. If you are in need of a restroom, there are public restrooms at the shopping center.

From Santa Monica Place or the parking structure, exit on foot toward Broadway and the Third Street Promenade.

If you want to visit the Pier, turn left and walk down Broadway to Ocean. The Pier is one more block to the left at Colorado. The Santa Monica Pier has a Carousel, a solar-powered Ferris Wheel, a small roller coaster and a couple other rides at Pacific Park , as well as the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium, a Trapeze School, a fast food court and restaurants and some gift shops - and of course, a great view of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Beach . There are summer concerts held on Thursdays at the foot of the pier adjacent to the on-pier parking lot.

Third Street Promenade is lined with shops and restaurants and usually has an array of street performers, especially during summer and on weekends and evenings the rest of the year. For some budget designer snacks, head upstairs at the food court at 1315 Third Street Promenade and try a Wolfgang Puck Pizza. It's only budget compared to dining at Wolfgang Puck's other Santa Monica establishment, Chinois on Main.

You can download this Walking Map of the Third Street Promenade .

Venice Beach

Retrieve your car from the parking structure at Santa Monica Place and make your way around the block to where Main Street starts on the other side of the Mall. Main Street will take you through an area of shops, galleries and restaurants as you cross over into Venice Beach . Proceed to the traffic circle at Windward and look for a reasonable place to park. There are a variety of parking lots in the neighborhood with prices ranging from $3 to $15 depending on the day and season. In the off-season, you may find street parking. If you're stopping for less than an hour, you may score a spot right there on Windward right by the beach. Don't forget to note your space and pay at the pay station mid-block.

From Windward, walk to the right, down the boardwalk between the vendor stalls and the street performers past the outdoor gym at “Muscle Beach.” Walk about 7 short blocks to watch the sunset over a casual dinner at the Sidewalk Café. If you're all walked out already, there's a parking lot off the alley behind the Sidewalk Café just off of Clubhouse Ct. For those on an even tighter budget, grab a slice of pizza or a sausage sandwich at one of the Venice Beach snack bars and find a spot on a bench or a nice stretch of sand to enjoy the view. Bring a sweater or jacket. The beach is cool in the evening, even in summer.

After dinner, you're close to the airport if you've got a red-eye flight to catch, or you can deadhead back to Hollywood and grab a drink at one of the Roosevelt's 6 bars or restaurants.

If you're still standing, head out to one of LA's Top Dance Clubs or Comedy Clubs .

Did a full day walking tour of LA. Our tour guide Damien was very knowledgeable & passionate about giving us all the information in a clear & concise way. The tour was very well planned & organised & was not tiring.

Lisa Montesanti

We did The Real Hollywood tour & loved it! The tour was at a great pace & the guide (Vicky) was very knowledgeable & made the tour fun. Thank you!

Stuart was so knowledgeable & was worth the day with him. I had been to LA multiple times before but this is the first time I had taken a tour – so thrilled to have this experience with my mom & sister. I would recommend this tour again & again.

Lucrezia Scamarcio

We had an amazing DTLA Murder Mystery Ghost tour with Damien & Dante… thank you very much from the Italian girls… very interesting & funny… absolutely recommended!

This tour was awesome! Stuart is very knowledgeable, likeable & fun. The stops on the tour were very interesting & I learned a lot. I’ve been on quite a few tours of this nature & this was one of my favorites – highly recommend!

Did a walking tour of LA (LA in a Day). Vicky started us off with the Hollywood tour & Damien (who is also the owner) was our guide for the rest of the day. The entire day was awesome, I suggest this tour. There isn’t that much walking, to be honest. It’s very fun!

Rodeo Drive & Beverly Hills Tour

Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills tour

Free/Zilch/Nada Just like the best things in life

2 miles An easy walking distance

Do it when it suits you Take as long as you like

Start this self-guided Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills tour at the storied Beverly Wilshire Hotel and stroll past the designer boutiques of the famous shopping district, then check out some high culture, before ending the tour at another famous hotel, the Beverly Hilton.

You can of course do this as a driving tour, but why bother? Park the car and go on foot – it's better. You'll see more and you can go into places.

Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills tour

BEVERLY WILSHIRE HOTEL

Where better to start your Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills tour than the “Regent Beverly Wilshire” (as it was known then) from  Pretty Woman . In addition to that movie it’s appeared in countless other films and way too many famous people have stayed to list them all, but  Elvis Presley ,  Warren Beatty  and  John Lennon  have all spent extended periods of time living here.

If you’re looking for the Beverly Hills experience this is it . It’s also at the bottom of Rodeo Drive, so it’s a great place to start the tour. Take a moment to sit in the café off the lobby and watch the world go by as you sip your drink. It's expensive, but so what? You’re in Beverly Hills baby!

RODEO DRIVE & ANDERTON COURT SHOPS

Now walk straight up  Rodeo Drive . These days it's seen as the premiere high-end shopping district, but it wasn’t always. Until the 1970’s it contained the usual stores you’d find on any Main Street back in those days. It was only then that the Rodeo Drive Committee decided to create a Mecca for the “culturally elite lifestyle.”

As you window-shop you’ll pass the  Anderton Court Shops  (on the right). They opened in 1952 and are the last buildings designed by celebrated architect  Frank Lloyd Wright  to be built in Los Angeles. By no means considered his most important buildings, they nevertheless bring an interesting aesthetic quality to the area, even though much of the original design has been changed.

If you’ve come here hoping to see Hollywood movie stars swanning around designer boutiques with decaf soy lattes you’re probably going to be disappointed – they don’t shop here. Nevertheless, iff seeing someone famous is high on your list of things to do in Los Angeles then check our guide to guarantee seeing a ‘celebrity’ .

Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills tour

NATE N' AL'S DELI

Just a block from Rodeo Drive, is this  old-school Jewish Deli . Still sitting like Marley’s Ghost on N Beverly Drive, there are moves afoot to sell this Beverly Hills landmark – so pause your Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills tour for a moment here and get a(nother) coffee quick.

In spite of its location the menu is very reasonable and many of the waitresses have been working here since Nate N’ Al’s opened in 1945 (or at least it seems very possible that they have), bringing a lot of character to this fine establishment. Funnily enough this is one of the best places in Beverly Hills to actually spot a celebrity.

PALEY CENTER FOR MEDIA

Culture may not have been something you were looking to get from your trip to Beverly Hills, but there is culture to be consumed here too – in this case popular culture.

The Paley Center  has a great program of events, including panels with the casts of popular TV shoes (see top photo), such as  Dear White People  and  Homicide: Life on the Streets , and exhibitions. Check the program before your visit, so you can make the most of it.

Paley Center

BEVERLY HILLS CITY HALL

Next stop on your Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills tour is this iconic Beverly Hills landmark. Beverly Hills City Hall  was the location of the Police Department in  Beverly Hills Cop  and it’s appeared in many other movies, as you’d expect.

Opened in 1932, the Los Angeles Times described it as the “largest and most expensive City Hall of any municipality its size in the country.” Well, it is Beverly Hills after all!

The design is Churrigeresque  (or Spanish Revival), which was all the rage back then and it’s a beautiful building.

WALLIS ANNENBERG FOUNDATION

This building was once the Beverly Hills Post Office (opening in 1934), but it was deemed surplus to requirements in 1993 and in 2013 reopened as  a performing arts venue .

They have some important productions, with heavyweight actors (such as Jeremy Irons and Lesley Manville in  Long Day’s Journey into Night  by Eugene O’Neill in June 2018) as well as dance and other events. Check it out!

Wallis Annenberg Foundation

BEVERLY GARDENS PARK

This is a beautiful spot to take a breather on your Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills tour and take everything in – right in the heart of Beverly Hills.

The gardens  stretch for 22 blocks (nearly 2 miles) along Santa Monica Boulevard and you can walk through the park all the way to the Beverly Hilton (the next stop on the tour). Also the Beverly Hills sign here could almost have been made for Instagram – it’s going to go viral!

THE BEVERLY HILTON

Finish your Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills tour at another hotel, the famous  Beverly Hilton . The hotel opened in 1955 and has hosted the annual Golden Globes (the ever so slightly less glamorous sister of the Academy Awards) every year since 1961.

Tragedy struck here in 2014, when  Whitney Houston  was found dead in the bath in her suite, but on a brighter note several stars have been discovered lounging around the pool. Although the Beverly Hills Hotel pool is better known for launching stars’ careers ( Raquel Welch  is probably the most famous star discovery there), that doesn’t mean you can’t give it a shot.

So throw on the Speedos, or bikini, and dive in. You’re in Beverly Hills, home of the stars!

INTRODUCTION

As you may know, several notable stars including Jennifer Lawrence, Ellen DeGeneres, and Taylor Swift live in the Beverly Hills area located in the neighborhood of Hollywood Hills.

Of course, celebrities don't all live right next to each other, neither they are available for all days of the year, so it's not easy to find their homes without a bit of guidance.

As a result, several tour companies have made a name for themselves by providing tours of celebrity houses, residences, and filming locations.

However, if you have a car (or bike) you can explore on your own!

Los Angeles is known as a sprawling city and most celebrities live far enough that you will need to use a car to really get to see many of them.

Also, in many cases, the places you visit will no longer be occupied by famous people who once lived there, but they are still historically significant.

Several notable properties are difficult to see from the street, but it's important that you do not stop and hold up traffic while driving through these neighborhoods.

And of course, it is important to be respectful of people's homes and privacy.

To visit where your favorite celebrity lives, our picks for top things to do in LA .

Can you drive by celebrity homes in Beverly Hills?

Beverly Hills houses many famous Hollywood celebs, and you can drive by these celebrities' homes but do not stop. These homes are private property and personal space.

It's also worth noting that in most cases, these houses are either in gated communities or are far enough behind a gate that you won't be able to see them very well.

For the best views, trust a local tour guide.

CELEBRITY HOME BUS TOURS

Traveling through Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and the surrounding areas simply isn't reasonable without a vehicle of some sort.

Public transportation is not a good option for such a tour. So, you need private vehicles.

Thankfully, these many services and tour companies not only provide transportation but also offer commentary about each of the celebrity homes you will visit.

For disabled persons, you will find collapsible wheelchairs on approximately all these buses following the disabilities act.

These wheelchairs have removable wheels to provide more comfort to the disabled passenger.

Emotional support dogs or any other pet is not allowed. Only service animals as per the California State Law and Americans Disabilities Act are allowed.

If you want to see the handful of locations where the stars live without having to find each spot on your own, consider one of the following options.

While on your way must visit a Beverly Hills hotel, where you have a fair chance of seeing a celebrity.

So book your tour and set a reminder.

Each tour is about 2 hours as per our guesstimate in length and will cost equivalent to or between $40-$50 per person.

Some tours may offer a tier pricing format but others have a fixed rate.

The prices also vary as per the number of guests on your private tour. By private tour, we mean it's your immediate party and you.

SELF-GUIDED BEVERLY HILLS CELEBRITY HOMES TOUR

If you've decided to make your own trip through Beverly Hills, the following information should be pretty handy. This route will take over 2 hours.

We will start at Dean Martin's previous home since it is close to multiple local coffee shops like Alfred's or Kelly's Coffee & Fudge Factory. Grab a snack or beverage before your own guided tour to fuel you!

Use a smartphone to find your way to each address and discover the houses of celebrities both past and present.

Streets in the hills are notorious for twists and turns, so it is best to have a co-pilot helping with directing the driver.

Considering that many of these estates are located near busy streets, you may not be able to stop. Also, be kind.

People do live in most of these homes so be respectful.

beverly hills tour map

1. Dean Martin (511 N. Maple Drive)

A publicity photo of Dean Martin to promote Bells Are Ringing (1960). Image Source: Wikimedia user Studio in 1960.

The beloved musician Dean Martin spent his last days in this wonderful house until his death in 1995.

Martin was well known as a singer and most famous for songs like That's Amore, Mambo Italiano, and Everybody Loves Somebody. but he also starred in several films such as Ada and Rio Bravo .

In addition to acting and performing, he also enjoyed success as host of The Dean Martin Show .

He was a member of the rat pack for a time too. Dino did it all, and he clearly had good taste in real estate!

Head northwest on Maple toward Carmelita and then turn left at the 1st cross street onto Carmelita. Turn right onto Rexford.

2. Boris Karloff (629 Rexford Drive)

Actor Boris Karloff. Image Source: Wikimedia user Wikiwatcher1 on September 1st, 2010.

Here you will find the former residence of none other than Frankenstein's monster!

In the 1930s, Boris Karloff made a name for himself with title roles in early Universal horror movies like Frankenstein and The Mummy .

Although he was a prolific actor, he became known primarily for his work in genre films.

Next drive southeast on Rexford toward Carmelita then turn left at the 1st cross street onto Carmelita. Turn left onto Hillcrest and then another left at the 2nd cross street onto Sunset.

3. Madonna (9425 Sunset Blvd)

Musician and Actress Madonna. Image Source: Wikimedia user David Shankbone. Photo taken at the premiere of I Am Because We Are at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival.

Madonna, the Queen of Pop, changed the music industry and is know for her constant reinvention.

After purchasing this house for $12 million dollars in 2003, Madonna had it remodeled to include a reported 9 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms.

The property also includes a tennis court, a pool, and a full-sized theatre.

In 2013, she sold this residence for $19.5 million dollars. In 2021, Madonna bought a mansion previously owned by The Weeknd.

Head south toward Sunset and take a right onto Sunset. Turn right onto Foothill.

4. Frank Sinatra (915 Foothill Road)

Actor and Musician Frank Sinatra at Girl's Town Ball in 1960. Image Source: Wikimedia via National Archives on March 12, 1960.

Just down the road from his buddy Dean's house, you'll find the former property of yet another Rat Pack member.

Like his friend, Frank Sinatra was well known for both acting and singing.

Sinatra secured notable roles in movies like Ocean's 11 and The Manchurian Candidate . He lived at this house from 1982-1998.

Head east toward Foothill and then take a left. Foothill turns slightly right and becomes Doheny then turn left on Loma Vista.

5. Greystone Mansion (905 Loma Vista Drive)

While not a celebrity residence, many celebrities have set foot in this mansion.

Originally built in 1928 in Tudor revival style as a wedding gift from oil tycoon Edward Doheny to his son Ned Doheny and wife Lucy.

This masterpiece had 55 rooms, stables, kennels, a tennis court, a swimming pool, and exquisite English-style gardens.

A tragic fate bestowed on Ned only 4 months after moving into the massive home, however. He was found dead with his friend Hugh Plunkett. It was ruled a murder-suicide though it remains mysterious to this day.

Lucy continued living in this home with her children until 1955. It was then sold and the movie studios started renting it.

Today this mansion is a historic landmark, and museum and is still used for filming.

The building's resume is extensive. The Social Network, The Holiday, Young and the Restless, Spiderman, and Death Becomes Her , to name just a few.

It is Kermit's mansion in The Muppets and it is Chilton Academy in Gilmore Girls.

The film There Will be Blood is actually about Edward Doheny and was also filmed at the mansion!

Head southeast toward Loma Vista and turn right. Turn right onto Doheny and then right onto Schuyler.

Turn left onto Readcrest and then left onto Lindacrest. A final right onto Coldwater Canyon to reach your destination.

6. Carrie Fisher (1700 Coldwater Canyon Drive)

Actress Carrie Fisher. Image Source: Wikimedia user Riccardo Ghilardi on September 3rd, 2013.

Although this property was originally built for Robert Armstrong ( King Kong ) and later owned by Bette Davis, it would eventually be sold to none other than Carrie Fisher.

Known for notable roles in Star Wars and The Blues Brothers , Fisher lived in this house until her unfortunate death in 2016.

Head north for about 1.5 miles to your next location.

7. Charlton Heston (2859 Coldwater Canyon Drive)

Actor Charlton Heston at a 1961 hearing regarding overseas production of American movies. Image Source: Wikimedia user AP Wirephoto, 1961.

Known for leading roles in Ben-Hur and Planet of the Apes , Heston lived in this house for quite some time before his passing.

The property includes a pool, a tennis court, and fantastic views.

In the documentary Bowling for Columbine , filmmaker Michael Moore visited this residence to speak with Mr. Heston regarding his very strong views on gun control in the United States.

Next is a slight left onto Mulholland and then a sharp left onto Franklin Canyon. Now turn right onto Mulholland.

8. Jack Nicholson (12850 Mulholland Drive)

Actor Jack Nicholson. Image Source: Wikimedia user Georges Biard, 2002.

This is probably one of the most disturbing locations you'll visit on your trip through Beverly Hills.

Not only is Jack Nicholson's estate tied to criminal investigations, but the house that once existed here has since burned down, prompting some to describe the land as "cursed."

However you choose to see it, this is certainly one of the most notable sites in Hollywood history.

The next location is literally right next door.

9. Marlon Brando (12900 Mulholland Drive)

Actor Marlon Brando. Image Source: Screenshot from On the Waterfront trailer via IMDb.

Not only did Brando live right next to Jack Nicholson, but he also lived with his neighbor for a short time.

The two were reportedly pretty good friends, likely as a result of living so close together.

can anyone recommend where I should drive to? preferable with a zip code for the satnav and then which parts are best to drive around to see "famous peoples" house ect

will also be visiting the walk of fame , would it be a good idea to combine the 2 on the same day?

many thanks in advance

You can combine the two, or include Beverly Hills if you plan to visit the beach towns (as it's on the way). I usually just drive visitors down Rodeo Dr., but City Hall is a very pretty building as well.

Here's a suggested day itinerary:

http://lovebeverlyhills.com/uploads/model/Block/14535/pdf/4/Inside-Beverly-Hills-Guide.pdf

Check out Greystone Mansion, too.

We won't really be able to help you with stars homes, but there are folks who sell maps (it's been a "thing" for decades) all along Sunset Blvd. and in Hollywood , too. I suggest you pick one up and drive yourselves around using it. No guarantees you will see homes where celebs now live, those maps and tours often show you where they used to live, and most properties are well hidden by plants and gates, but some people enjoy the drive.

Can you change your hotel? That's an incredibly inconvenient hotel.

On the side of your screen you'll see sample itineraries to follow (on a computer, not a phone)

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g32655-c86961/Los-Angeles:California:Great.Drives.And.Views.html

You can easily do the walk of fame on the same day although there is no special reason to . It's not in nor particulary near BH. Here is a map with directions from Hollywood Blvd and Highland Avenue to the main shopping aread of Rodeo Dr https://goo.gl/maps/OSzmE

Anyways, along Hollywood Blvd there are a number of stores that sell Maps to Stars Homes. Many people buy these and do their own tours.

You got some good info in post #1 about routes and such.

The reasons for why people dislike the hotel is that it's next to the freeway and it's built in mid-century modern architecture.

If you are staying in NoHo then you need to drive around Disney, WB, and Universal, at least from the outside. It would be a shame to be staying so close and not at least see them. Unfortunately, you can't tour Disney until November but look into tours of the two others.

thanks for the reply's

the main reason for staying at this hotel is for Warner Bros , Universal studies and then six flags , I know its not great for visiting most parts of LA ,

Try this website - you can look up stars homes and tv/movie shooting locations to help tailor your drive to your favourites. http://www.seeing-stars.com/

News | Donald Trump arrives in Beverly Hills to rake in campaign cash

Fans rallied to greet trump, who has seen a surge of support in wake of verdict against him.

beverly hills tour map

This was his first fundraising tour after being convicted of 34 felonies in New York, a verdict that has riled up Republicans and led to a historic surge in campaign contributions. Now he hopes to capitalize on this momentum to rake in big dollars at Friday’s fundraiser as well as at a Saturday event in Newport Beach.

At around 3 p.m., a crowd of Trump supporters gathered on the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Delfern Drive in Beverly Hills to await the passage of the former president’s motorcade. People waved giant American and Israeli flags, donned Trump hats and cheered into bullhorns.

Trump’s motorcade drove by with an escort from the California Highway Patrol around 4 p.m. At the sight of the motorcade, the crowd exploded into cheers and chanted, “We want Trump!”

“My heart was beating so hard and I was so, so excited to see him drive by,” said Beverly Hills resident Michelle Toumari. “I was about to cry knowing that he’s about to be our next president.”

Sherman Oaks resident Monty Delhartz brought a life-size cardboard cut out of Trump with him.

“It’s so exciting that he’s visiting, I can’t wait to see him drive by,” he said shortly before Trump arrived. Delhartz said he’s looking forward to helping reelect Trump in November and “return this country back to normal” by bringing down crime and the cost of living.

“The inflation is out of control,” he said. “You’ve got to make up your mind whether you want to pay your utility bills or you want heat this day.”

Beverly Hills resident Shiva Bagheri also highlighted inflation under Biden’s leadership as a key reason why many people are supporting Trump.

“Now that they see their pocketbook under Trump, and then their pocketbook under Biden, people are waking up,” she said. “They are saying, ‘Wow, the Democrats are really screwing us over’.”

Bagheri added, “We are the highest taxed state in the country and what are we getting from it? High crime, bad infrastructure, indoctrination in schools and open borders.”

She also highlighted antisemitism on college campuses as a reason many Jewish residents of Beverly Hills will be supporting Trump in November.

The Trump fundraiser took place at the private residence of Lee Samson at 804 N. Elm Drive. Samson is a board member of the Republican Jewish Coalition and owner of a chain of nursing homes. He previously hosted Trump for a fundraiser in 2019 that raised $5 million.

“Trump’s got a lot of supporters out here, and we’re expecting massive numbers at the rallies,” said Will Donohue, president of the College Republicans of America in an earlier interview.

“The grassroots has been seriously energized by the outcome of the verdict a few days ago and I think the general consensus of our grassroots here in California is the same nationally: they don’t believe this was a fair trial,” he added.

Donohue said Beverly Hills is a natural place for Trump to visit because many of its residents are fans of his tax cuts and recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The city is also home to two of Los Angeles’ rare red voting precincts where a majority of voters supported Trump in the 2020 election.

While local Trump lovers were expected to be loud and proud at Friday’s rally, regional Republican representatives have been much more muted in their response to his SoCal stop.

Neither Rep. Mike Garcia, R-Santa Clarita, nor Rep. Michelle Steel, R-Seal Beach, responded to the Daily News’ request for comment about Trump’s visit or recent court verdict. Both congress members are up for election in battleground districts that could play a key role in determining which party controls the House come January.

Steel has not spoken publicly about the verdict, while Garcia initially declined multiple news outlets’ requests for comment but gave one to a reporter in D.C. on Monday. When asked whether he is concerned about having a convicted felon at the top of the ticket he said, “No. I think the American people saw what happened in New York, they saw what were typically misdemeanors being elevated to 34 felonies.”

Both candidates’ responses to the verdict have drawn harsh criticism from Democratic leaders.

“Ultimately, Republicans like Mike Garcia and Michelle Steel are stuck between a rock and a far-right place,” said Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee spokesperson Dan Gottleib. “They made their bed with Trump, and now they’ll have to justify to California voters how comfortable they are undermining law and order alongside the 34-time convicted elephant in the room. Steel’s silence and Garcia’s embrace are incredibly telling.”

Regional Republicans, on the other hand, have been more understanding of their reticence to speak out.

“A number of Republicans in swing districts in California win because of people who split the ticket, so they will vote for Biden and then for them,” said Jon Fleischman, former executive director of the California Republican Party. “Thus they all need to have their own local strategies on how to keep the focus on the issues that matter to these swing voters.”

This sentiment was echoed by Donohue, who said he recognizes that both candidates have reason to be concerned about political retribution from their commentary on Trump.

“As far as actual input on the Trump trial, I think a lot of them need to do what they need to do to win reelection,” he said. “There’s a lot of consultants that have ideas about what’s best for poll numbers and how they’re going to perform in their district. I think it’s imperative that we keep the house.”

While SoCal residents shouldn’t expect to see Garcia or Steel campaigning for Trump this weekend, Garcia has endorsed Trump for reelection and Steel signed on as a delegate for Trump in the presidential primary.

Residents can, however, expect to see more of Trump in the coming months as he seeks to collect California cash to spend in swing states.

“California is one of a handful of key economic engines that drive a GOP presidential campaign,” said Tim Clark, who headed Trump’s 2016 campaign in the West. “Southern California and the Bay Area are particularly strong in fundraising for the Republican nominee, and with many tech CEOs coming out strongly in favor of funding President Trump’s campaign, it’s clear that the cancel-culture dam has broken.”

Biden is also expected to make more fundraising trips out West, the soonest of which comes next weekend when he will headline a star-studded fundraiser at the Peacock Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.

[Opinion] Take a Peek Inside J. Lo and Ben Affleck's Beverly Hills Mega Mansion

Posted: June 7, 2024 | Last updated: June 7, 2024

While rumors swirl about trouble in paradise for Hollywood power couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, fans and haters alike are trying to search for every ounce of evidence that could point to the end of their relationship being near. On May 31, Lopez announced she was canceling U.S. shows of her “This is Me...Now” tour to take “time off to be with her children, family and close friends.” And as The Daily Mail reports, the couple recently went 50 days without being photographed together. But now, social media sleuths are jumping on the news of the sale of the couple’s Beverly Hills home. On June 5, The Daily Mail reported that real estate websites have added photos of the inside of the mansion after they were taken down when Ben and Jen bought the home in May 2023. Zillow currently lists the home as sold. Now that the photos are available, we couldn’t resist sneaking a peek inside the massive $60 million home that includes over 40,000 square feet of living space and a host of luxurious features. Check out the photos for yourself. Trust us, this is one place you have to see to believe.

Take a Peek Inside J. Lo and Ben Affleck's Beverly Hills Mega Mansion

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s love story started in 2002, when the pair met on the set of their film flop, Gigli. They got engaged the same year, but called things off in September 2003, a couple of days before they were set to say, “I do.” But after nearly 20 years apart, the two found their way back together in 2021 and finally tied the knot in July 2022. “It’s a beautiful outcome that this has happened in this way at this time in our lives where we can really appreciate and celebrate each other and respect each other,” Lopez told PEOPLE.

Politics | Former President Trump’s Newport Beach visit means road closures, traffic impacts

beverly hills tour map

Bayside Drive, from Jamboree Road to Pacific Coast Highway, will be closed to motorists from 7 a.m. to around 3 p.m. on Saturday, according to the city’s plans. Local residents will be able to access the road, but only with proof of an address, like a photo ID or passport.

There will be no parking along the entirety of Harbor Island Road; residents will need to find other parking until about 3 p.m., the city said.

Beacon Bay, Habor Island, Promontory Bay and Promontory Point residents will be able to access their houses during Trump’s event through Pacific Coast Highway and Bayside Drive. Access to Linda Isle’s gated community will also be limited to those two roads.

Residents who are expecting guests on Saturday should accompany them into the community, the city said, because those without proof of residency will be turned away.

These traffic plans are subject to change, noted Sgt. Steven Oberon, a spokesperson for the Newport Beach Police Department.

The Bayside Shopping Center is scheduled to remain open for now — but could still be impacted by the event, according to the city.

“Please be flexible as this will be a dynamic situation,” said the city’s notice to residents.

Trump is in town as part of a fundraising swing following his felony conviction last week. Tickets for the Newport Beach event, hosted by entrepreneur Palmer Luckey and John and Kimberly Word, range from $3,300 to attend the luncheon to $100,000.

It is not known exactly how Trump plans to traverse from Los Angeles County down to Orange County and arrive in Newport Beach.

Trump’s visit to Newport Beach’s Lido Isle in 2020 for a fundraiser — also hosted by Luckey — caused traffic headaches, especially for those who were coming in from out of town. Newport Beach residents and employees of nearby docks and restaurants were alerted to Trump’s visit and traffic impacts the day prior to the visit, but non-residents did not get such a heads up, the Southern California News Group reported at the time .

Since the conviction, Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee have said they’ve seen an influx of donations. Earlier this week, the campaign and RNC said they hauled in $141 million in May, attributing the support as a response to the verdict in Trump’s hush money trial. Other pro-Trump organizations brought in an additional $150 million in May, they said.

Supporters who aren’t attending the high-dollar fundraisers plan to line the streets in both Newport Beach and Beverly Hills to welcome the former president.

No major road closures are expected in Beverly Hills on Friday. Rolling closures are expected to shut down intersections briefly while Trump’s motorcade passes through, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Staff writer Clara Harter contributed to this report.
