Sled Ventures Snowmobile Rentals, Lincoln, NH

Welcome to SledVentures and the White Mountains of New Hampshire!

Sled Ventures Logo

SledVentures opened doors 16 yrs. ago, after buying out Pemi Valley Snowmobile rentals, which operated for 10 yrs. prior. We wanted to create a family fun, and affordable experience. While the sport of snow-mobiling is very expensive, we, at SledVentures, try and keep our overhead as low as possible to offer you the opportunity to try and experience the sport for yourselves.

SledVentures is operated on rte. 3, right off of Corridor 11, one of the main north to south trails that runs through the state of NH.

We operate a modern fleet of snowmobiles that are well maintained throughout the season, most snowmobiles have reverse, hand warmers, and electric start. We provide a great selection of gear to keep you as comfortable as possible while riding. Our guides all love to ride and enjoy the opportunity to teach others about the wonderful sport of snowmobiling.

While no two riders are alike we try and keep our tours small and adapted to the riders in the group.  One beginner tour may be up front while riders who are more comfortable putting along may be in the next group back, on the other hand we have the intermediate level for people looking to ride at the next level and most times will be completely grouped up with their own friends and family.

Our goal is to provide you with a great snowmobile adventure based on your level of riding ability.  To keep you, your friends, family and our trail system safe for all.  We provide three levels of riding to match your ability. SledVentures loves doing group tours as well as friends and family. Most of all, we enjoy sending you home HAPPY.

snowmobiling in northern new hampshire

Snowmobiling

From Pelham to Pittsburg and everywhere in between, New Hampshire offers some of the best snowmobiling in all of New England. With 7,000 miles of snowmobile trails and not one leads to your office, it has become a New Hampshire lifestyle for the snowmobile enthusiast.

This is made possible through the partnerships with thousands of landowners who generously open up their land for the recreation of snowmobiling. Countless club volunteers work tirelessly to construct and maintain this vast trail system. It's New Hampshire Naturally! CAUTION : Because of the low snowpack, Great River Hydro is reducing outflows which may result in lake levels increasing at Lake Francis and First Connecticut Lake.  This may make the ice along the shoreline unstable and impact snowmobiling and ice fishing.

Resources and Information

Snowmobile Trail Report for Clubs - Please submit your condition report by Wednesday afternoon to be included in the weekend report.

That’s a wrap folks! Mud season is here. Trails and gates are closing. This will be the last snowmobile trail condition update for this season. Sending out a HUGE thank you to all of the clubs, landowners, and dedicated volunteers who worked so hard through this weird weather season to keep the trails open and in good condition for the riders!  Without all of you, NH would absolutely not have a trail system…there is power in numbers.  And without the trail system, the State would not bring in the billions of tourism dollars they do.  Local businesses would lose out as well.  It’s all dependent on the landowners and the volunteers…remember that and be sure to register, join a club, become a volunteer, be respectful on the trails, and thank a landowner! This report is “ as of the above date ”.  Trail conditions change depending on weather and use and will be rapidly changing with warm weather.  If you have concerns about possible condition changes, contact the local club before you go out . Trail Conditions Condition Report for Clubs - must be submitted by Wednesday afternoon to be included.  This report’s rating system: Good - Trail is flat with a good base, there may be ice underneath, and while groomed snow could become a bit mushy. Moderate - Trail has decent riding, but may have bare spots, ice, or rough sections. Marginal - Trail is passable, but may have thin snow, open or partially filled water bars, bare spots, ice, or trees down. GREAT NORTH WOODS REGION

The well maintained snowmobile trails that everyone enjoys in New Hampshire are due to an enormous volunteer effort by the snowmobile clubs throughout the state. Without these dedicated, hardworking volunteers, snowmobiling in New Hampshire wouldn't be the sought after sport that it is.

Snowmobile enthusiasts,  as well as cross country skiers, snow shoers, dog mushers and others, who can't wait for the snow to start falling so they can enjoy their winter activities in New Hampshire, owe a huge THANK YOU to the priceless volunteers who groom and maintain New Hampshire's snowmobile trail system. Please review the  Trail Grooming Tips  to see how you can assist them.

Trail Grooming

Over 200 trail groomers maintain the snowmobile trails in New Hampshire. Quality snowmobile NH trail grooming provides smooth trails that are suitable for all levels of riders.

Be aware that grooming takes place at all hours. A groomer travels at an average of only 5-8 mph. Riders must use extreme caution at all times and lookout for groomers and other obstacles. Alpine Adventures

About Alpine Adventures

Alpine Adventures, located in the beautiful White Mountains of NH, near the award-winning  Whale’s Tale Waterpark , opened the first, longest, highest and fastest Zipline Canopy Tour in New England in 2006 and continues to lead the way in the outdoor adventure industry. The original  Tree Top Canopy Tour  was an instant hit and continues to be a favorite for families and first-time zippers. With 300 private acres in Woodstock, NH, it was no time before Alpine expanded by building the SkyRider and  Super SkyRider Zipline  Tours. To keep our tours safe, new, and exciting, Alpine constantly adjusts the courses and plans new routes. Continually raising the bar for Ziplining…with longer, higher lines, side-by-side racing zips and more. In addition, in 2015, Alpine built their first Treehouse, a magnificent work of art offering a welcome rest stop for many tours.

High Fives for Ziplining

Alpine Adventures uses unique 6-wheel Pinzgauers, Swiss Army transport vehicles, to take guests to the top of their Zipline Tours high up on Barron Mountain. The vehicles are also used for  Off-Road Adventures  or a lift to start the newly expanded Backcountry Snowshoe Tours. These vehicles, with their ability to go anywhere, are not just transportation but a memorable part of any tour.

The newest activity, the  Thrillsville Aerial Challenge Park , with the BigAirBag© jump, located at Headquarters on Main Street in Lincoln, demonstrates Alpine’s commitment to continually improving their award-winning recreational and adventure activities. This constant and continued evolution is a product of limitless vision, a “can-do” attitude, and hard work from the entire staff to offer legendary experiences for all our guests.

From humble beginnings as a Snowmobile Tour Operator in 1997, Alpine Adventures has grown to be an innovative and unique outdoor adventure company that is widely known for its superior customer service, safety, and engaging year-round activities. Our goal is to help our guests take a time-out from their hectic lives and create lasting memories with friends and family.

Come back and visit Alpine, time and again, as they take you out of your comfort zone; put you into a beautiful natural environment; allow you to soar like a bird; stroll through a winter wonderland; go off-roading in a Swiss army vehicle; or challenge yourself on the obstacles and high-flying elements of our courses. No matter what time of year it is, you’ll find a new and innovative escape at Alpine Adventures.

Alpine Adventures has been inducted into the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame for receiving a Certificate of Excellence 5 years in a row. To read all of our reviews  click here .

White Mountains

Snowmobile & atv rentals in new hampshire, new hampshire welcomes you to rent a snowmobile or atv and discover its stunning vistas.

New Hampshire calls itself The Granite State partly because people there delight in the rugged White Mountains and Presidential Range , with their many ridges and cliff faces of exposed granite. Reading this should be enough temptation for anyone who has considered renting a snowmobile, or, in the summer, an ATV, to explore the back country of this monumental place. Many companies rent out snowmobiles to newcomers to the sport, along with all the clothing, gear, instruction, and encouragement they need to hit the trails. Trails for the sleek machines – called “sleds” by insiders – are cast across the landscape in a network proudly maintained by the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association . If you are very interested but still wary, note that some rental companies offer guided tours, in which a seasoned driver takes the guest out for an introductory ride and overview of the sled’s operations and the countryside. Driving these machines is an absolute thrill, and people need not be deterred by the expense and maintenance of actually owning a sled. On the flip side, in the warm seasons, come to New Hampshire and rent an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) or utility terrain vehicle (UTV) and give yourself shivers at the beauty of the back country, far from roads and crowds.
