The accessory delay relay is in the CJB fusebox. The specific fuses you should be looking at are #35-10a, #41-10a, #42-15a, and circuit breaker #601 (circuit breaker is only for windows) depending on how your CJB fusebox is labeled, this is a fuse location cross reference: 35=F2.35: 41=f2.41: 42=F2.42: cb 601=F2.65. These are the fuse and relay that control the accessory delay that allows the radio and windows to work after the key is turned off, and before the door is opened.

Use a wrench to loosen the negative terminal bolt, and then take the negative cable and hold it aside. Keep it off of the battery for 30-60 seconds. Reattach the negative cable, and retighten it using your wrench. Reconnect the negative cable and tighten it back up with your wrench.

Hitting the dash just over the radio fixed the problem at first, then it only would fix the radio but not the windows. I can't imagine all of the window switches/motors all went out at once.

June 21, 2009. #6. On my 2003 Explorer the radio still works, as do the front windows. All power locks work fine. The PS rear window usualy (but not always) works, and the DS rear hasn't worked in a while. For a brief time a year or so ago the DS rear worked fine and the PS rear stopped completely (luckily while up).

Taking the dash off to look for loose connections may end up being a waste of time. Better to have a wiring diagram and see what is the common connection between the circuits.

I had a blown # 42 fuse and whenever i tried replacing it the fuse blew immediatly upon making contact. This happened even with the ignition turned off.

I'd like to possibly save someone time if they have all/most of the following issues: 1. Power windows stop working 2. Power locks stop working 3. Auto shut-off for radio doesn't work properly 4.
