Taylor Swift in the UK: Eras Tour timings, setlist and everything you need to know

Are you ready for it? The UK leg of the Eras Tour has officially kicked off

Chiara Wilkinson

Hot Swiftie summer is officially underway. After over a year pouring over set lists and constantly refreshing our feeds to hear news about the star, Swifties of Britain are finally getting to experience the Eras Tour live and in person. Her UK run of shows kicked off last week in Edinburgh – Liverpool is up next.

On her US leg, we saw the mega star perform through a torrential storm, dive head first into the stage, partake in a short-lived relationship with The 1975 frontman Matty Healy (that then inspired a whole new album), and bring her ex Taylor Lautner out to do a few backflips. We can only hope that the UK leg will be just as exciting and spectacular.

So make the friendship bracelets and pick your Era. Here’s everything we know about Taylor’s Eras tour in the UK.

When is Taylor Swift coming to the UK as part of her 2024 Eras tour?

She’s over in two rounds throughout June and August playing stadiums in Edinburgh , Liverpool ,  Cardiff  and London . The dates are as follows:

June 7 2024 –  Edinburgh, BT Murrayfield Stadium June 8 2024 – Edinburgh, BT Murrayfield Stadium June 9 2024 – Edinburgh, BT Murrayfield Stadium

June 13 2024 – Liverpool, Anfield Stadium June 14 2024 – Liverpool, Anfield Stadium June 15 2024 – Liverpool, Anfield Stadium

June 18 2024 – Cardiff, Principality Stadium

June 21 2024 – London, Wembley Stadium June 22 2024 – London, Wembley Stadium June 23 2024 – London, Wembley Stadium August 15 2024 – London, Wembley Stadium August 16 2024 – London, Wembley Stadium   August 17 2024 –  London, Wembley Stadium August 19, 2024 – London, Wembley Stadium August 20, 2024 – London, Wembley Stadium

How much were Taylor Swift tickets in the UK?

For the London and Edinburgh date presales, tickets ranged in price from around £59 (for partial or obstructed view tickets) to £110 for general admission standing. Front standing was priced at about £172, while seated tickets went up to  £194.

What about VIP?

Some people with acute Swift-itis spent up to £799 on hospitality packages . Those get you things like premium seats, arrival via the hospitality entrance, premium dining options and other cool-but-expensive things.

What’s going on with resale tickets?

With tickets as precious as these, it’s no wonder that they’re already being resold at extortionate prices. Despite a four ticket limit per buyer, resale sites Viagogo and Stubhub already have tickets being resold. Some are listed for as high as £6,000.

Needless to say, you should be especially careful when buying anything on resale and only buy from official resale websites.

Who will be supporting Taylor in the UK?

For her European leg, Taylor is being supported by the one and only Paramore. The pop-punk band's nine-song setlist includes ‘Hard Times’, ‘Misery Business’, ‘Still Into You’ and ‘Ain’t It Fun’.

Additionally, in London T-Swizzle will be supported  by Mette on June 21, Griff on June 22 and Benson Boone in June 23. You can  find out more about her Wembley shows here .

What’s the current setlist for her Eras Tour?

The show is made up of an epic 44-song setlist divided up according to the singer’s ten ‘eras’, which each refer to one of her albums. Thanks to the release of an entire double album in the midst of her world tour, it looks a little different to her North America, South America and Australia setlists.

  • tolerate it (from evermore era)

She also performs two different surprise acoustic songs each night and has invited other musicians to perform with her on stage including Phoebe Bridgers and The National’s Aaron Dessner.

What’s been said about the tour so far?

Taylor Swift kickstarted her tour at Arizona’s State Farm Stadium in March, where she debuted a mega three-hour set playing songs from across her career.

The production includes 16 dancers and many set and costume changes, as well as a moment where the singer appears to ‘dive’ into the stage.

At her show in Arlington, Texas, Swift teased the crowd saying: ‘One thing we said about the Eras Tour: you think you can just go online, you think you can just scroll and know the setlist?

‘Let it be said about the Eras Tour ,  we’re tricksy. That’s what we are [and] we enjoy a good, healthy setlist hijinks.'

Ticket availability is extremely limited, and some ticket options will be unavailable.

Ticketholders can resell any or all of their tickets, including the lead booker ticket, via AXS or Ticketmaster.

Through the official resale facilities, ticket resale prices are capped to help combat the inflation of ticket prices and put a stop to ticket touting and bots.

Purchasing tickets via the official resale facilities also ensures that the ticket you are purchasing is genuine. As set out in the terms and conditions of sale, any tickets found to be purchased via resale on the non-official secondary market will not be valid for entry into the concerts and will be cancelled. Therefore, we strongly advise that you sell and purchase your tickets via the official ticket agents.

The tour will mark Swift’s first run of concerts in the UK since 2018’s ‘Reputation’ tour . Swift played the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball 2019, which took place at The O2 in London. However, her scheduled dates in 2020 – including BST Hyde Park and Glastonbury – were cancelled due to the COVID pandemic.

Instead of hitting the road, Swift wrote, recorded and released a pair of surprise “sister” albums in the form of ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore’ . She then dropped both ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’ and ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’ in 2021.

Swift announced ‘Midnights’ at the MTV VMAs 2022 in August, describing the project as “the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life”.

The star has since revealed that her longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff worked on the record , and shared the full tracklist .

Following the release of ‘Midnights’, Swift will appear as a guest on Monday’s episode of  The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon  (October 24) before dropping by  The Graham Norton Show  next Friday (October 28).

If you're hoping to attend, we've compiled all of the details of The Eras Tour, including how to get Taylor Swift tour tickets.

Swift's Eras Tour has taken the world by storm since March 2023. The three-plus-hour tour features hits from each of Swift's album eras, from "Lover" to her Grammy Award-winning "Midnights." Getting tickets has become its own battle and many fans have waited hours in the Ticketmaster queue to hopefully snag some seats, if they could get a presale ticket code in the first place. While Swift continues to extend the tour, including new US dates, tickets remain hard to come by.

Below, we've put together a guide on everything to know about The Eras Tour, including the tour schedule, ticket purchasing details, resale ticket prices, and the concert film streaming options. You can also peruse resale vendors like StubHub and Vivid Seats at your leisure.

Taylor Swift international tour dates

The Eras Tour international dates resumed on May 9 in Paris. The European tour will run until August 20 in London. UK prices are listed in pounds, and start times vary from city to city. Multiple shows have age restrictions for younger kids and specifics on seating and adult accompaniment. A few venues check that a ticketholder's ID matches the name on the tickets. US dates start in October and can be found under the following table.

Taylor Swift North American tour dates

The Eras tour will return to the US on October 18 in Miami. In addition to the Miami shows Swift will perform multiple dates in New Orleans and Indianapolis. On November 14, Swift will head to Canada for several shows in Toronto and Vancouver. All North American shows start at 7 p.m. local time.

How to buy tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 tour

Original standard tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 sold out long ago for both international and domestic dates. All US tickets and many international tickets were sold through Ticketmaster , although select international locations used different services.

Tickets for most dates are available on resale websites like StubHub and Vivid Seats . These are generally higher-priced than the originals, which are no longer available. Keep in mind that some countries have rules regarding reselling tickets.

On StubHub, UK tour dates come with a note that ticket terms don't permit resale through unauthorized channels and might not be valid for entry. If this ends up being the case, StubHub notes that its FanProtect Guarantee will cover purchasers.

How much are Taylor Swift tickets?

Ticket prices vary by date and location. International resale tickets tend to be a bit cheaper than US resale tickets. It's worth noting that some of the cheapest tickets have restricted views.

StubHub's cheapest European tickets ranged from $239 (Amsterdam, Netherlands on July 4) to £1,279 (London, England on August 19). The latter is around $1,616 in USD. The lowest prices for most shows are around $250 to $1,200. On Vivid Seats , the cheapest tickets for these dates go for $491 and $1,172, respectively.

When it comes to North American shows, the cheapest StubHub tickets range from $1,613 (Vancouver, Canada, on December 6) to $2,602 (Indianapolis, Indiana on November 2). Most of the cheapest tickets are priced between $1,600 and $2,300. On Vivid Seats, the cheapest Taylor Swift tickets on these dates start at $1,527 and $2,451, respectively. The two resale vendors generally have similarly priced offerings, but this varies from show to show.

Who is opening for Taylor Swift's tour?

Taylor Swift has a variety of opening acts, from up-and-coming singers to established groups. Opening acts vary by date. For the European leg of the tour, Paramore is opening for Swift. In the US and Canada, Gracie Abrams will be the opening act. Earlier in the tour, Swift had Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, MUNA, HAIM, and more open for her.

Will Taylor Swift add more dates to the Eras Tour?

Taylor Swift has already added additional stops to her tour due to popular demand, including her US tour dates this fall. She also added additional dates to some of her European city stops, including bonus performances in France and the United Kingdom, among other locations.

During her 100th show, a mid-June performance in Liverpool, Swift acknowledged that the tour would conclude in December. "The celebration of the 100th show for me means this is the very first time I've ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December," Swift told the crowd in a moment that was widely captured and posted across social media. This statement means that the Eras Tour is unlikely to extend past 2024, but we'll keep this guide updated if Swift announces any changes (or additions) to her tour lineup.

Will The Tortured Poets Department be a part of the Eras Tour?

It's good news for fans of "The Tortured Poets Department," Swift's new album that dropped on April 19, 2024. Swift is incorporating several of the new tracks into the Eras Tour, as evidenced by the first shows of her European leg. "The Tortured Poets Department" songs currently featured on tour include "But Daddy I Love Him," "So High School," "Down Bad," "Fortnight," "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?," "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived," and "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart."

Since the Eras Tour is already pretty long, this means that Swift is also cutting down a few songs from past Eras that previously made the tour setlist. The songs that were removed from the setlist include "The Archer," "Long Live," "The 1," "The Last Great American Dynasty," "'Tis the Damn Season," and "Tolerate It."

Where can I stream The Eras Tour concert film?

If you'd rather watch The Eras Tour from home, you could always stream it on Disney+. Check out everything you need to know about streaming The Eras Tour concert film in our guide .

Note: Certain services and regions prohibit the resale of tickets. Business Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal reselling of tickets, and entry into an event is at the venue's discretion.

What happened to my daughter in front of Taylor Swift was every parent’s worst nightmare

Being metres from the stage at the eras tour should’ve been a night to remember. instead it was a night to forget, writes amelia loulli.

It was the Taylor Swift Eras Tour, London, night three. After queuing up outside all day in the scorching heat, my two teenage daughters and I had managed to position ourselves second row from the front. We were a couple of hours into dancing and singing our hearts out when my eldest had a seizure.

While 85,000 Swifties screamed the lyrics they know by heart , the way most people know their loved ones’ phone numbers, Sophia – who had told me moments before that she didn’t feel well – was on the wet, sticky plastic flooring of Wembley Stadium .

Sophia, who’s 19, is epileptic. It isn’t photo-sensitive and she had been given the medical all-clear to attend this concert – the most epic night of her life – but I still immediately felt stupid for bringing her and her younger sister Ellie (who’s only 14) here; for putting us in this vulnerable position.

Taylor Swift’s personal items to be shown at V&A museum

The medics soon arrived. I was about to administer Sophia’s emergency medication when one of them attempted to lift her onto the shaky, turquoise wheelchair he arrived with. This is when having a child with a disability as unpredictable as epilepsy really tests your abilities to function under pressure. Even there, surrounded by all these screaming strangers, with my daughter’s idol just metres away from us, I had to retain the awareness and communication skills to be able to question the attending medical professionals.

I told him we mustn’t move her while she was seizing. But he was impatient, given we were surrounded by thousands of people, so I got the medication into her there and then and – moments after her body began to soften and relax – he heaved her up onto the chair. The crowd behind us parted like a slick piece of choreography and I was told to walk in front, holding my daughter’s hand, while the wheelchair clipped the back of my legs like an aggressive dog. There was no time to look back and I could only wonder if my other daughter and the (adult) friend we’d travelled with were keeping up behind us.

Sophia was treated at a hospital in London

I was so sad to be leaving the concert early – mostly because I knew my girls would be devastated . I knew what this night had meant to them and to me – emotionally, financially. It’d taken an awful lot to be there. We’d driven five hours from the north of England, stayed in a hotel overnight, then queued up in front of the stadium for eight hours in the blazing sunshine to get prime position in front of the barriers. We didn’t even get to see the unforgettable moment Travis Kelce came out to join her on stage.

People might say it’s only a concert, but to my girls it was a moment to be joyful after all the challenges we’ve navigated over the past year of chronic illnesses. It was supposed to be a night of songs and sequins and sparkles and friendship bracelets and joy. And, at least for the start of it, it was a night of pure elation and we were a happy part of the Swiftie family. Until it wasn’t.

Suddenly, we were being sped round to the medical centre at the back of the stadium then bundled off to hospital. We were told by medics that only one person could travel with Sophia in the ambulance, and the others would have to make their own way there – without a car; while 100,000 people were beginning to exit the stadium. In the end, they offered to point my friend to the best place to get a cab, which turned out to be an area where all roads were shut. They had to walk half an hour to get a Tube, shaken and confused.

A few hours later, exhausted and heartbroken and in some random London hospital, I could only think – how did we get here? And how is this fair?

When we booked the tickets a year ago my daughter hadn’t been diagnosed as epileptic. I opted for the only tickets available to us in the pure stress of the rapid Swift lottery – four VIP “Ready For It” package tickets, which cost enough to give me heart palpitations. But it felt important and precious to us as a family – as a single parent raising teenagers – so I made plans to pay the tickets off and clicked “purchase”.

Amelia and her daughters were two rows from the front when Sophia had a seizure

By the time my daughter received her epilepsy diagnosis, the disabled access tickets were all sold out, so we were left with a dilemma. To go or not to go? This is a predicament less able-bodied people will likely know well. To miss out or not to miss out? To tear her dreams apart or risk it? According to my daughter’s doctor, there were no medical grounds for her not to attend the concert – her medication was in place and the truth is, epilepsy is like other disabilities : something you can only learn to navigate.

We did our best to plan around all eventualities and, after a long day of queuing, we made it into the arena. It was immediately clear what we were in for: we were not allowed to take any water in with us and in order to get a decent view, we would have to stay in the places at the front we had so sorely earned, relying on the small quantities of water being given out by staff and avoiding the toilets for the next six hours. Competition to take our spot was aggressive and we would be very unlikely to get back to our place – and to each other – once the concert began.

I was worried for my daughter, but she was feeling well, so I kept my fingers crossed. I know some people will say we didn’t have to get a good view from the front. They might berate us for queuing for so long in the summer heat. But shouldn’t my daughter also be able to enjoy a good view at a concert? Shouldn’t people whose bodies behave differently also be able to be a part of iconic experiences that matter to them?

When she went down, I felt all the hopes she and her younger sister had carried down from Cumbria to London go with her. They had been looking forward to experiencing the wristband lights and fireworks they had seen all over TikTok. They had detailed plans to collect some confetti from the closing number in order to make a memory box. They had believed for a while that we could exist among all those people, enjoying something so special – that we could get away with it without the epilepsy spoiling everything.

Ableism in society is rife; accessibility is about more than ramps and audio support technologies. I knew it when my 17-year-old son, who lives with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), decided a few weeks before the big night that he wouldn’t be joining us at all. We were disappointed but I understood; to expect him to queue for that long – to stand in a confined place with 85,000 people when he struggles some days to leave his bedroom – would be expecting too much. But I saw it to its full extent when with my daughter, right in front of the biggest star on the planet.

I wouldn’t want to be Taylor Swift – coping with that level of fame and expectation must be tricky indeed. She can’t possibly please everyone. But maybe it’s time the most powerful influencers began to look at how ableist the culture we take for granted really is? Maybe it’s time to notice who isn’t at these types of concerts – the fans who can’t endure the demands of such an extreme endurance challenge.

Do people like my daughter not deserve to be at the barrier, experiencing “Shake it Off” and “Fearless” live, like the rest of us?

Of course, we are living with challenges other people are not. It’s nobody’s fault. But there has to be a way to be more inclusive.

I don’t have answers for how to make this better – I wish I did, for my daughter’s sake. But when I think about the power and resources of a groundbreaking artist like Taylor Swift – who just this year attained billionaire status for the first time – I can’t help but think that it must be possible to make things easier for families like mine.

There must be a way to demand – and fund – a tour that offers a more radical approach for people with health conditions or disabilities who dream of seeing their idols up close; of hearing their favourite music live.

There must be a better, fairer way than having to suffer queuing for hours on hot pavements and in front of barriers; needing water. Taylor knows “All Too Well” what her concerts mean to her fans and how much they love her. Isn’t it time for artists to find a way to give some of that love back?

Taylor Swift Eras Tour: Hacker Leaks 440,000 Tickets and Raises Ransom Demand

taylor swift tour tickets uk

A hacking group known as ShinyHunters – thought to be responsible for a recent Ticketmaster data breach impacting half a billion people – is now claiming to have unlawfully obtained 440,000 tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

According to a post on BreachForums, the group has also upped its initial ransom demand from around $1 million to $8 million after reassessing the damage leaking such data could do to Ticketmaster.

Along with Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets, the group reportedly possesses around 30 million additional tickets for more than 65,000 events, plus a slew of sensitive customer information including emails.

The Eras Tour Ticket Leak

In May 2024, a hacking group known as ShinyHunters initially demanded a $500,000 ransom from LiveNation, the company that owns Ticketmaster, after it claimed to have access to the records of 560 million users.

Then, in June, the company sent out a data breach notification to the Office of the District Attorney of Maine, confirming that the hack was real.

Surfshark logo

However, it now appears that the breach is wider-reaching – and significantly more serious – than first thought.

“To celebrate the fourth of July, we present to you 440K Taylor Swift Eras game tickets” the group said in a recent BreachForums post, ominously adding that the singer would be “going to congress” instead of performing due to their successful attack.

According to Hackread, the total value of the tickets stolen is an eye-watering $22 billion – which has led ShinyHunters to up its ransom demands to $8 million. The value of the additional 30 million tickets extracted from Ticketmaster systems, on the other hand, is thought to be around $4.6 billion.

What Data Do The Hackers Have?

Sometimes, with a hack of this size, the data actually exfiltrated from the company in question’s system is only semi-sensitive, or only useful when paired with other data.

However, there seems to be an enormous range of data taken from Ticketmaster’s systems, if the hackers are indeed in possession of everything they claim to have.

According to the post, ShinyHunters has obtained 980 million sales orders, order details relating to 680 million individual orders, 1.2 billion party lookup records, over 400 million email addresses, and millions of records from address verification systems.

The group also says partial details relating to 400 million encrypted credit cards have also been exfiltrated from Ticketmaster’s system.

ShinyHunters say that their theft amounts to “the largest publicly disclosed non-scrape breach of customer PII (personally identifiable information) of all time”.

What Should You Do if You’ve Been Impacted

As described in the breach notification letter referenced earlier on in this article, Ticketmaster recommends customers “remain vigilant and take steps to protect against identity theft and fraud, including monitoring your accounts, account statements, and free credit reports for signs of suspicious activity.”

The company has also revealed that it is offering a year’s worth of identity monitoring services via Transunion , at no cost to the customer – although you have to enroll within 90 days of receiving the data breach notification.

We’d advise anyone who thinks they may have been impacted by this breach to take advantage of this offer and take even more precautions than usual when it comes to assessing the legitimacy of email correspondence.

We all knew Taylor Swift ’s London shows for the Eras Tour were going to be epic but her three-night stint at Wembley was beyond our wildest dreams.

From the Sir Paul McCartney dancing to But Daddy, I Love Him to Travis Kelce getting on stage in a top hat for a whole routine, it’s been one for the history books.

The list of celebrities attending across the weekend was almost as long as the mammoth  three-and-a-half-hour setlist and included actual royalty for Prince William ’s birthday.

Taylor decided to shake off Dave Grohl’s not-so-subtle dig and put on three of her most unhinged shows of the entire tour for the 89,000 people (per night) watching.

This was only the first round as the 35-year-old superstar will return to London for five more shows in August – possibly by then Reputation TV will have finally been announced.

There’s no denying Taylor wanted fans to ‘remember this moment’ so here are the most bonkers moments from London nights one, two, and three.

Travis Kelce’s surprise stage debut

Talk about hard launching your partner, Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Travis, 34, took to the stage at London night three for her Tortured Poets Department set.

The NFL star appeared with dancers Kam and Jan in a top hat and tuxedo as she changed from her iconic cream dress into I Can Do It With A Broken Heart set.

Travis beamed as he pretended to apply makeup to Taylor’s face during the skit, which sees the So High School singer pretending she doesn’t want to perform.

In one dramatic moment, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end picked up his girlfriend and carried her across the stage with the fans absolutely losing their minds.

In another sweet moment, Taylor blows a kiss to Travis, who blushes as he disappears from the stage.

The pair had been grinning and waving at each other all weekend, with ‘Travvy’ hosting in the VIP tent but his Eras Tour debut was the cherry on top.

Prince William shakes it off

We’ve all seen Taylor’s Instagram post by now, which is a selfie with the king of her heart as well as the future king of England.

‘Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start,’ Taylor wrote after Prince William attended her Friday night show for his 42nd birthday celebrations.

The Prince of Wales had brought Prince George and Princess Charlotte with him, however, Kate Middleton and little Prince Louis did not attend.

I am sorry but prince william dancing to shake it off has me wheeeeeezing pic.twitter.com/hDyLxtJIdt — nich⸆⸉ (@sohighschooll) June 22, 2024

Prince William dances to Shake It Off

While the selfie was wild, it was a fan video of the future king dancing which sent fans into meltdown.

The camera pans from the stage up to the royal box, where Wills can be seen dancing his heart out to Shake It Off.

After his dad dancing went viral, Prince William wrote on X: ‘Thank you @taylorswift13 for a great evening!’

Sir Paul McCartney gets into Swiftiemania

Legendary Sir Paul McCartney didn’t just attend the Eras Tour, he was up and dancing with fans too.

The Beatles star got out and about, trading friendship bracelets with Swifties and even stopping to dance with a group.

Leaving the shelter of the (jam-packed) VIP tent, the 82-year-old singer was filmed dancing to one of Taylor’s newest hits But Daddy I Love Him in the crowd.

As fan @rubii_leal wrote on X: ‘Paul McCartney really lived through the Beatlemania and now he has experienced the Swiftie-mania 6 decades later.’

@desilovestaylor This is the REAL Royalty at her show. Paul being there and clearly enjoying himself is all I ever wanted in life omfg I love this man so much. And I love that he was accompanied by his two dayghters🥹 #paulmccartney #taylorswift #thebeatles #taylorsversion #theerastour #swiftie #swiftok #erastour @Taylor Swift ♬ original sound – Desi (Taylor’s Version)

Sir Paul and Taylor have been friends for a while now and were even paired together for Rolling Stone ’s Musicians on Musicians in 2020.

She said at the time: ‘The times that I’ve run into you, I correlate with being some of the most fun nights of my life. I was at a party with you when everybody just started playing music.

‘And it was Dave Grohl playing, I was playing his song called “Best of You,” but I was playing it on piano, and he didn’t recognize it until about halfway through.’

The Foo Fighters frontman would later call Taylor ‘Batman’, explaining she swooped in and saved him as he was struggling to play while ‘high’.

Celebrities in the VIP tent at Eras Tour London

The Eras Tour VIP tent was bursting at the seams for London, here’s a run down of everyone who was there!

Travis Kelce attended every London night along with his brother Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie Kelce and Taylor’s parents Scott and Andrea Swift.

London Night 1:

  • Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte
  • Nicola Coughlan
  • Jonathan Van Ness
  • Salma Hayek
  • Leslie Mann
  • Cara Delevingne
  • Stella McCartney
  • Emma Bunton
  • Holly Willoughby

London Night 2:

  • Rachel Zegler
  • Greta Gerwig
  • Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis
  • Liam Hemsworth
  • Jamie Dornan

London Night 3:

  • Ellie Goulding
  • Sir Paul McCartney
  • Gracie Abrams
  • Sophie Turner
  • Cate Blanchett
  • Ruby Stokes
  • Zawe Ashton

Tom Cruise trades friendship bracelets

The VIP tent didn’t stop with Sir Paul as Hollywood heavyweight Tom Cruise was also in attendance.

He danced the night away with Misson Impossible director Christopher McQuarrie, attending both Saturday and Sunday’s gigs.

The 61-year-old actor could be seen grinning as he and the entire VIP tent jumped to Shake It Off – clearly a celeb favourite.

@damarelll AND HE ASKED ME FOR A PHOTO AFTERWARDS!!! #tomcruise #theerastour #taylorswift #erastourlondon #theerastourlondon #london #wembley #vanillasky #swifties #actor #concert ♬ original sound – fauve

At one point Travis put his hands on Tom’s shoulders and the pair shared a delighted exchange, both absolutely beaming over the performance.

As is customary at the Eras Tour, the Top Gun legend swapped friendship bracelets with those in the crowd.

One Swiftie posted a video saying she was excited to tell him her favourite film was Vanilla Sky, a 2001 sci-fi thriller starring a young Cruise.

Taylor Swift swallows a fly

Sometimes, when singing live, performers run into issues – which Swifties have long dubbed The Errors Tour.

Taylor didn’t pause her performance though, she coughed slightly during her 10-minute version of All Too Well and said: ‘I swallowed a bug, you sing.’

At a break in the chorus, she stopped and cleared her throat away from the microphone.

In time for the next lyric, Taylor returned to playing her guitar and broke into song again having got rid of the pesky bug.

if i had a nickel for every time taylor has swallowed a bug on the eras tour, i’d have two nickels. which isn’t a lot! but it’s weird it happened twice right? pic.twitter.com/bbBuYzZLan — rachel 🫶 (@happinessforts) June 24, 2024

Taylor Swift performs on stage during Red era at The Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium

This is actually the second time this has happened to the Enchanted singer as just over a year ago in Chicago the same thing happened.

During her performance of Champagne Problems in the windy city, she announced: ‘I just swallowed a bug. I’m so sorry. It’s totally fine.

‘It’s just stupid,’ she added before coughing up the creature and joking: ‘Delicious’.

Hugh Grant thanks Taylor’s ‘gigantic boyfriend’

Another day, another huge celebrity at the Eras Tour and this time it was Hugh Grant gracing the VIP tent.

‘Dear @taylorswift13,’ he wrote on X. ‘You have an incredible show, an amazing and v hospitable team and excellent if gigantic boyfriend (#tequilashots.).’

The Bridget Jones legend witnessed night two of Wembley, so missed his new friend Travis taking to the stage.

Dear @taylorswift13 , You have an incredible show, an amazing and v hospitable team and excellent if gigantic boyfriend ( #tequilashots .). Thanks so much from one ageing London boy, wife and thrilled 8 year old #halfgirlhalfbracelet — Hugh Grant (@HackedOffHugh) June 23, 2024

Hugh, 63, has previously attended Blackpink’s Hyde Park set in 2023, declaring he was a ‘Blink’ after that incredible gig.

The Notting Hill star could be seen at Taylor’s show munching on carrots as he danced with his wife and daughter.

Hugh added: ‘Thanks so much from one ageing London boy, wife and thrilled 8 year old #halfgirlhalfbracelet.’

Fans climb onto Wembley roof

In a more alarming turn of events, Saturday night saw three mysterious figures climb onto the stadium roof.

In Madrid, fans also saw an unknown figure dancing on the roof but this time they brought friends.

Videos shared online show obscured figures watching on quite literally from the Gods, having a little boogie as the wide-spanning setlist plays.

Mystery figures on roof of Wembley stadium during a Taylor Swift concert

It’s unknown who the dedicated Swifties were, with fans hazarding a guess at the likes of  Matty Healy  or  Joe Alwyn (who decided to head to New York for the weekend).

A statement from Wembley Stadium put fears to rest though as they shared: ‘We can confirm the individuals on the roof of Saturday night’s performance of Taylor Swift The Eras Tour were pre-approved professionals as part of the pyrotechnic team, equipped with full safety equipment.’

Those epic surprise songs ft Hayley Williams and Gracie Abrams

Any Swiftie knows the highlight of the evening is seeing what Taylor sings for the acoustic set.

Her surprise songs span anything in her discography with mashups including Edinburgh N3’s Haunted x Exile to ‘old’ tracks like Crazier from the Hannah Montana movie (yes, really).

London was treated to some incredible songs like a mashup of 1989, switching from Out of the Woods to Is It Over Now? to heartbreak anthem Clean.

Shockingly, expected tracks So Long, London and London Boy did not make it onto the set this time round – but with five more shows to go that could change.

Hayley Williams (L) and Taylor Swift perform surprise song Castles Crumbling during Eras Tour

🚨| Hayley Williams not being able to find the stage exit after the surprise songs! #LondonTSTheErasTour pic.twitter.com/TZhMQ5K7Ol — The Eras Tour (@tswifterastour) June 22, 2024

Fans were beside themselves when Taylor sang a mega-bridge for her mashup of Hits Different and Death By a Thousand Cuts on Friday night, followed by The Black Dog and Come Back Be Here.

However, night two really kicked things into high gear as Paramore’s Hayley Williams took to the stage to sing duet Castles Crumbling on piano.

For the Speak Now track, Hayley paid homage to Taylor’s iconic purple dress and the pair couldn’t stop smiling as they performed together, having been friends for years.

However, when it came time to leave the stage, the Decode hitmaker couldn’t find her exit, running about in the dark on stage before staff helped her off – oops!

Her final night in London saw Gracie Abrams join Taylor on stage for a rendition of their new song together, Us.

Taylor shared: ‘If you know the words to this one, you get extra credit points because it’s only been out for like two days. This song is technically not one that’s mine at all, it’s my friend Gracie’s.

‘When I tell you I just love this girl so much … but when you write with someone it’s like you see the whole thing [and] all the artistry, you see who this person is really and writing with her, she’s like so badass. Like, that’s a writer.’

Released days ago, this was the first time the track was ever played live after Gracie had revealed the chaos at her house during recording which included an actual fire.

Overwhelmed? Taylor isn’t done yet as she heads to Dublin, The Netherlands, and Germany before returning to London for her final European shows.

Ali Fedotowsky-Manno's Daughter, 8, Adorably Reacts to Getting Taylor Swift Tickets for Her Birthday

Molly Manno put her head in her hands and appeared to cry as her parents surprised her with a pair of coveted Eras Tour tickets

Bachelor Nation has one happy Swiftie!

Ali Fedotowsky-Manno' s daughter, Molly Sullivan , turned 8 on Saturday, July 6. To celebrate, the former Bachelorette lead, 39, posted a video on Instagram of the little girl receiving one of the most coveted gifts of the moment — tickets to Taylor Swift 's Eras Tour.

In the video, Molly got some help from her little brother, Riley Moran, in identifying what the tickets were, but when she realized where she would be going with her mom she became emotional.

"What are these?" Molly — sporting a T-shirt that read "Birthday Girl" — asked her dad, Kevin Manno , who was behind the camera capturing the special moment.

"What do you think?" he asked his daughter, before Riley, 6, stepped in with an assist.

"They say 'Taylor Swift,' " the little boy said.

Molly then looked up at the camera in gleeful shock before throwing her head in her hands and getting quiet for a few seconds, as Riley confirmed with his parents that the gift was a pair of tickets to see the "Today Was a Fairytale" singer perform live.

The 8-year-old completely covered her face with her hands and the tickets in the video — which is set to Swift's hit "22" — so it was unclear if she cried upon realizing where she was going soon, but she clearly needed time to gather herself.

Ali gave a little chuckle at her daughter's reaction in the video and quickly looked up at her husband, 41, to take in the moment.

Molly recovered quickly, excitedly announcing, "I got Taylor Swift tickets," to the camera before going to hug her mom.

"We'll have the best time," the former TV personality and host told her daughter at the end of the sweet video.

"I could not be more excited for a magical weekend with my sweet eight-year-old girl seeing her idol  @taylorswift !!! Happy Birthday Molly!!!" Ali captioned the post.

While it's unclear what show the Nashville-based mother-daughter duo will be attending, Swift is currently touring in Europe and will return to North America for a leg of the wildly successful tour in October.

After watching the video of Molly's surprise gift, Bachelor Nation is just as excited for the little girl to see the show as she is.

"It truly is the most special thing. Core memory for you guys!!!! 🩷🩷," former Bachelorette star Trista Sutter wrote in the comments.

Ali led season 6 of The Bachelorette and got engaged to Roberto Martinez, but the pair split in 2011.

She married her husband Kevin , a radio personality, in 2017, less than a year after the couple welcomed Molly.

Taylor Swift revealed how her Eras Tour broke records as she played her third and final night at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Sunday evening.

Actress Julia Roberts and musician Stevie Nicks were among those in the crowd.

Swift paid tribute to Nicks at the start of her acoustic set close to the end of her performance. She described a friend of hers watching the show, going on to say mentors are the reasons why many can do what they do, but added they can be rare.

She said one “helped me through so much over the years”, adding: “I’m talking about Stevie Nicks” before playing her song Clara Bow in which Nicks is mentioned.

Swift told fans it was a thrill and an honour to inform them that they made Eras the first tour to ever sell out the venue three nights in a row.

The 34-year-old went on to say that far from being tired on the third night, nights one and two were “just warm-up shows for you”.

Ireland embraced the excitement of the star’s visit with a beach transformed into a large-scale artwork reading Ireland (Taylor’s version) as a nod to her ongoing re-recordings of her albums.

While the Irish Emigration Museum uncovered her Irish roots, advertising their story as the love story before the love story.

Even Irish premier Simon Harris appeared to flirt with Swiftmania, joking he had a “bone to pick” with Swift over the lyrics of her Sweet Nothings hit – which mention lifting a pebble from a beach in the Taoiseach’s home county Wicklow.

He also shared on Instagram on Saturday that he had received his first Swiftie friendship bracelet at a service station in Ballinaleck.

Thousands of fans filled the Aviva for three sold-out concerts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

There was also a nod to Ireland during a rendition of her chart-topper We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, when her dancer Kameron N Saunders jumped in to quip “bleedin eejit”.

On Friday night, Saunders said “Pog mo thoin” – a cheeky Irish-language phrase meaning “kiss my ass”, and on Saturday he said “The Neck of Ye”, where Swift would usually say “Like Ever” in the recorded edition of the hit.

Swift later in the concert pondered which of her Eras was the “most Irish”, continuing the she believes it is her album Folklore.

She recalled starting to write the song “two days into the pandemic”; when she created an imaginary world “living in a cabin in a really green and mossy landscape, very Irish”, adding the album is “all about story telling and you guys are gifted story tellers”.

She is next heading to Amsterdam’s Johan Cruyff Arena for her next three shows, running from Thursday to Saturday. Swift will then plays dates in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland and Austria before returning to the UK in August for five nights at Wembley Stadium in London.

Elsewhere, she cheered on American gymnast Simone Biles’ floor routine to the Swift track Ready For It? at the Olympic trials ahead of the games in Paris.

Writing on X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday – underneath a video of Biles, Swift said: “Watched this so many times and still unready. She’s ready for it (though).”

M. Night Shyamalan

M. Night Shyamalan teases fans that Trap is more than just a thriller-mystery , but also a concert film.

The Oscar-nominated filmmaker opened up about the concept behind his upcoming film starring Josh Hartnett in a recent interview with Empire magazine . When asked how he pitched the movie, Shyamalan responded, “What if  The Silence of the Lambs  happened at a Taylor Swift concert?”

Why you should be watching 'the watchers', 'the watchers' review: dakota fanning gets stranded in ishana night shyamalan's suspense-free horror debut.

Shyamalan said the movie was partially inspired by the “twisted and funny” real-life 1985 “Operation Flagship,” a sting operation by U.S. Marshals and the DC Metropolitan Police Department, which resulted in the arrest of more than 100 wanted fugitives after they were coaxed to a stadium with free NFL tickets. The director added that his daughter’s rising music career also influenced the story.

“I directed an entire concert!” he told Empire . “And it wasn’t just a thing in the background. It’s equally important. There is no pretend concert going on. I love the idea of cinema as windows within windows. One of the reasons to come see the movie at the movie theater is because there’s literally a real concert that you can see nowhere except in that movie.”

The Knock at the Cabin director-writer explained that he wanted the overall film to be an original and unique experience for viewers.

“I really do believe in the original movie,” Shyamalan added. “I want the industry to move towards more original storytelling. I think audiences would really like it. Look, I know there’s safety in IP. But it’s really important that we come to the movies and see something we’ve never seen before. I’ll keep fighting for that.”

Trap , from Warner Bros. Pictures, hits theaters on Aug. 9.
