In the Hero's mod for Terraria 1.3.5 the Hero's mod adds the option to unlock the full map. I believe this would fit into journey mode perfectly for 1.4

I think this would remove any incentive for exploring, as chests would already be revealed through the map. If only they made the level of zoom not related to your resolution.

Notice! i have updated the character with ALL the missing items including 1 vanity outfit from graveyard biome, some furniture, some walls, blocks! now it is OFFICIALLY complete journey mode character that has all the items in terraria, the download link up there is now updated! have fun and enjoy building.
For the character, copy both the folder and .plr file that you just extracted to Documents>My Games>Terraria>Players. (If you just want the complete dupe menu, stop here you don't need the world.) For the world, copy 'Journey's Creativity.wld' to Documents>My Games>Terraria>Worlds

Ono_shi. I'm currently running through the Builder's Workshop map (which has all items) on Journey mode. The only downside it that my finger that has to click research for every item is now dying. Also a pre-warning for anyone else doing this, THERE ARE A LOT OF ITEMS in this game.

ON WINDOWS. If you are on a Windows computer. Open Regedit (search for it in the start menu and you'll find it) In Regedit go to the following folder: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Terraria. Open the folder and right click New > String. Call the string Bunny. Now edit this string to have a value of 1.

3. Item Duplication is more fun than just knowing everything. Unlike most creative modes that basically serve you the world on a simple platter, Journey Mode still requires you actually FIND items as opposed to just being able to baby them in. I LOVE this because it still encourages you to play the game, just more at a pace YOU choose.
