The Memorial tee times, TV channels, live streams & more to watch Rounds 1-4 of PGA Tour golf event

T he PGA Tour will head to Ohio as the 49th edition of the Memorial Tournament, founded and hosted by Jack Nicklaus, is set to kick off. 

The Memorial is the season's seventh of eight Signature Events and is one more opportunity for players before they make their way to Pinehurst for the U.S. Open next week.

The 73-player field includes six past winners of the Memorial, including defending champion Viktor Hovland, and is headlined by the 2022 and 2023 PGA Tour Player of the Year, reigning Masters champion and current world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. 

The current world No. 2 player Xander Schauffele and No. 3 Rory McIlroy are also set to tee off on Thursday.

While Scheffler, Schauffele and McIlroy round out the three favorites to win the tournament, other big names on the PGA Tour including Hovland, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Tony Finau, Ludvig Åberg and more will search for the first wins of the season.

Golf Channel and CBS will be the television homes of the 2024 Memorial Tournament. Golf Channel will broadcast the first two rounds and handle the early portion of Saturday and Sunday's coverage while CBS airs the last few hours of each round.

Where to watch the PGA on TV

This year’s tournament features two traditional PGA TV hosts: ESPN and CBS . ESPN will be the exclusive TV provider for the first and second rounds of the PGA. That includes six-hour telecasts each day beginning at 2 p.m. ET.

2022 PGA Championship viewer’s guide: Tee times, TV schedule, streaming, how to watch

You can also catch early third- and final-round action on ESPN starting at 10 a.m. ET on Saturday and Sunday once the cut is made at Southern Hills. But the primary channel you’re looking for when the action heats up on the weekend is CBS, which will kick off its own six-hour broadcasts for the third and final rounds beginning at 1 p.m. ET.

DUBLIN, OH -- After an exciting weekend north of the border, the PGA Tour returns the Great Lakes Region for one of its annual classics, the Memorial Tournament, the final tune-up before next week’s U.S. Open.

Last week in Hamilton, Ontario, some of the top golfers got to compete in front of the traditionally lively crowd at the RBC Canadian Open. The man who came out on top was Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre, who almost blew a multi-shot lead, but held on for his fourth tournament on the tour.

It is not going to be easy for MacIntyre to win in back-to-back weeks, as a lot of big names are back in action this week, including the world no. 1, Scottie Scheffler, who is playing for the first time since the PGA Championship. Defending Memorial champion Viktor Hovland is also returning to play, looking to become the first player since Tiger Woods over two decades ago to win back-to-back titles.

Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Aberg and two-time Memorial winner Patrick Cantlay are all expected to perform well this weekend in Ohio.

Rory McIlroy was one of the notable names who played in Canada last week, and had a respectable result, finding tied for fourth, just three strokes behind MacIntyre.

The pga tour stays in texas this week for one last tune up before the masters.

Just four rounds stand between players and the first major championship of the season. The 2024 Texas Open will serve as the final tune up for some of the world's best as they search for form ahead of the Masters. While many of the top names in the field have already booked their trips to Augusta National, the Texas Open will grant one final spot in the field should a winner without an invitation emerge.

Not needing to worry about this is world No. 2 Rory McIlroy, who has experienced a somewhat tumultuous season up to this point. A bit more erratic with his long game than what we are used to, McIlroy is without a top-10 finish on the PGA Tour and has struggled to string four rounds together. McIlroy hopes to find whatever this missing link may be at TPC San Antonio, where he last played in 2022. McIlroy missed the cut that week, but it served as a good preparation; he finished runner-up at the Masters a week later. 

Also factoring in Masters past are champions such as Jordan Spieth and Hideki Matsuyama, who are heading in opposite directions in terms of form. Matsuyama, a winner at the Genesis Invitational, looks much like the man who donned the green jacket in 2021. Spieth, meanwhile, has struggled with consistency. Fresh off back-to-back missed cuts at the Players Championship and Valspar Championship, Spieth is in need of some strong play leading into the Masters. 

Collin Morikawa finds himself in a similar position with cold iron play, while players such as Max Homa, Matt FItzpatrick Ludvig Aberg, Tommy Fleetwood and Brian Harman appear keen on entering the winner's circle.
