As the tourism industry is booming and the pressure on the last “natural oasis” is increasing. At the same time ecotourism is dependent on an intact environment than any other business sector. Ecotourists, thus are at the same time responsible for, and suffering from the damages caused.

The Report on “Environmental Impacts of Tourism” by WWF indicates that tourism produces five percent of all greenhouse gas emissions. In this context, the distance to the destination and the choice of transport for getting there and back, play by far the most important part.

Eco Coach and Tours (M) Sdn Bhd, as promoter of Eco-Tourism products of Malaysia, we ensure responsible travel to natural destinations that conserve and protect the environment in its original state. Our tour packages are placed under our subsidiary company named Eco Tours Asia. Our nature based ecotourism products designed with the intent to reduce the impact of climate change especially in the emissions of greenhouse gases connected to traveling to the destination sites and from point to point transfers.  In this context, that tourism produces five percent of greenhouse gas emissions,  the distance to the destination and the choice of transport for getting there and back play by far the most important part of our responsible tourism.

To date, Eco Tours Asia has successfully pioneered in the first ever mono-gas operated NGV taxis, buses, tour coaches and executive Limousine in Malaysia, surpassing European Standards for safe emissions. Though the decision about the extent of each holiday trip’s footprint ultimately rests with the consumers, we play a key part in the diminution of their climate footprint while critically pondering travel distance and organizing transportation and accommodations that comply with the environmental standards.
