Iron Maiden tour art

Iron Maiden  will undertake a UK and Ireland arena tour next summer, billed as The Future Past Tour.

The setlist for the tour, which kicks off at Dublin's 3 Arena on June 24, and runs through to July 7, with a homecoming show for the East London-born band at London's O2 Arena, will feature previously unperformed songs from the band’s 2021 album,  Senjutsu,  along with a focus on 1986’s Somewhere In Time  record, plus other classic cuts from the British metal legends.   Talking up the tour, bassist Steve Harris says ,  "Following the release of our latest album,  Senjutsu , we updated the current  Legacy of the Beast Tour  a little by opening the show with the first three songs from it, with the Japanese Palace stage set. "As it doesn’t make a lot of sense to repeat this for a  Senjutsu  album tour, we thought about other options and we’ve decided to revisit  Somewhere In Time  as that tour didn’t feature in the various retrospective history tours we’ve played over the years. They were based on our 80’s concert videos and sadly we did not film that tour (blame the manager!!). We have had lots of requests from fans over the years for many tracks on it so we are now going to play them, plus of course a few others we know you will like! "It will also be particularly satisfying to finally get to play some of the more epic tracks on  Senjutsu , it's been a long wait! 2023 is going to be an exciting time and we’re really looking forward to seeing everyone again in the UK, Ireland and around Europe."   Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood adds, “This combination of the two albums we feel is very exciting. We know fans want to hear those epic cuts on  Senjutsu  for the first time live and we think that by combining it with an iconic album like  Somewhere In Time  it will make for another really special tour for fans old and new! Of course, for a new album tour in Europe and the UK we will go back largely to the relative intimacy of arenas and we know fans will be very happy about that too!"   Maiden are currently in North America in the final stages of their spectacular  Legacy Of The Beast World Tour.   The band's The Future Past Tour will call at:   Jun 24: Dublin 3 Arena, IRE Jun 26: Glasgow OVO Hydro, SCO Jun 28: Leeds, First Direct Arena, ENG Jun 30: Manchester AO Arena, ENG Jul 03: Nottingham Motorpoint Arena, ENG Jul 04: Birmingham Utilita Arena, ENG Jul 07: London O2 Arena, ENG  Steve Harris' band have also announced five new shows in mainland Europe, as follows.   Jun 13: Krakow, Tauron Arena, POL Jun19: Zurich Hallenstadion, SWI Jul11: Amsterdam Ziggo Dome, HOL Jul 13: Antwerp Sportpaleis, BEL Jul 15: Milan, The Return of The Gods Festival, ITA Tickets go on sale on Friday, October 14, at 9am via the Live Nation website . IRON MAIDEN added six more European dates to the "Legacy Of The Beast 2022" tour, including the Olympic Stadium in Athens on July 16. Ticket pre-sale starts on December 4 at 10 a.m. As always, there will be an exclusive presale for Iron Maiden fan club members. Special guests at the concert will be Airbourne and support act Lord of The Lost.

This show has already been seen by almost two million people around the world and has been embraced by fans and the media, as it is the most spectacular show in the band so far, with a set list of favorite songs from previous decades . The 2022 show will also have a small taste of Maiden's new studio album "Senjutsu" - which debuted at # 1 in Greece and is being played live for the first time.

According to the band's manager, Rod Smallwood,

"Next summer we will finally be able to have the huge European Legacy of the Beast tour in stages, which was originally set for 2020 and has since changed its date twice! We are very happy to be able to add concerts to some of the most important countries in Eastern Europe, including Ukraine, where we have never performed. We will make some changes to the production and setlist to add some songs from the new album "Senjutsu" and we plan to make the Legacy of the Beast tour more spectacular than the original show, but you can be sure that we will include all its elements home tour and our favorite Maiden songs. We will enjoy on stage the Spitfire plane, Icarus and a spectacular and impressive show with fires and fireworks. However, we will try to shake you a little, since now our favorite Trooper Eddie will have serious competition in a new "Senjutsu world" which we will add to the scenes ".

Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson adds:

"We are looking forward to our concert return to Europe next year and it is wonderful that we can add Athens, but also the rest of the shows in Eastern European cities where there are thousands of Maiden fans. I'm really excited about the new additions to the tour where an impressive spectacle will take place, which is why we look forward to seeing what we have prepared for them. All of us in the band enjoyed the Legacy tour for this and we are looking forward to the moment when we will be out on the street again and have fun with all our fans that we have so long to see! "

We know fans want to hear those epic cuts on  ‘Senjutsu’  for the first time live and we think that by combining it with an iconic album like  ‘Somewhere In Time’  it will make for another really special tour for fans old and new! Of course, for a new album tour in Europe and the UK we will go back largely to the relative intimacy of arenas and we know fans will be very happy about that too!”

Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris said in a statement: “Following the release of our latest album, Senjutsu , we updated the current Legacy of the Beast Tour a little by opening the show with the first three songs from it, with the Japanese Palace stage set. As it doesn’t make a lot of sense to repeat this for a Senjutsu album tour, we thought about other options and we’ve decided to revisit Somewhere In Time as that tour didn’t feature in the various retrospective history tours we’ve played over the years.

“They were based on our 80s concert videos and sadly we did not film that tour (blame the manager!!). We have had lots of requests from fans over the years for many tracks on it so we are now going to play them, plus of course a few others we know you will like! It will also be particularly satisfying to finally get to play some of the more epic tracks on Senjutsu , it’s been a long wait! 2023 is going to be an exciting time and we’re really looking forward to seeing everyone again in the UK, Ireland and around Europe.”

The band’s manager, Rod Smallwood, added: ““This combination of the two albums we feel is very exciting. Iron maiden announces collaboration with ’dead by daylight’ video game.

Power Trip Day 1

Iron Maiden has announced a collaboration with the video game Dead by Daylight .

In Dead by Daylight , players can either be a Killer or one of four Survivors. As their titles suggest, the Killer is tasked with eliminating the Survivors, who must work together in order to do just that.

As part of the partnership with Maiden, Dead by Daylight players can now choose from a variety of costumes inspired by albums including Powerslave and Senjutsu for the Killer character to wear. Survivors can also suit up in a Maiden tour T-shirt.

You can check out a trailer now via the Dead by Daylight YouTube .

Iron Maiden has long been involved in the video game world with their Legacy of the Beast mobile game. In Legacy of the Beast , you play as Maiden mascot Eddie as you try to defeat different enemies. It’s also featured crossovers with bands including Disturbed , Ghost , Motörhead , Avenged Sevenfold and Five Finger Death Punch .

In Iron Maiden music happenings, the metal legends will launch a U.S. tour in October. Meanwhile, frontman Bruce Dickinson will release a new solo album, The Mandrake Project , on March 1.

Dead by Daylight teams up with Iron Maiden

Plus new Chapter coming next month.

Behaviour Interactive has announced its latest Dead by Daylight collaboration, and it's none other than heavy metal band Iron Maiden.

This team up will see the band's mascot Eddie arrive in the game as part of a new outfit collection, which has been inspired by various Eddie iterations over the years. These looks, which you can see in the trailer below, include The Dredge, The Doctor, The Deathslinger, and The Oni.

There are also new Iron Maiden T-shirts for Dead by Daylight's original Survivors.

"What an incredibly exciting new collaboration for us to explore," Dead by Daylight's product manager Kirby Taylor said when announcing this Iron Maiden package. "Eddie is such an icon, and flipping through some of his famous appearances to see which Killers we could pair them with was a dream come true.

"We're also glad our Survivors can get in on the fun with some killer tour t-shirts. A couple of those even have a little surprise as well, depending on the Survivor, but we'll leave that up to players to find."

The Iron Maiden Collection is available to purchase in Dead by Daylight now. As well as these new cosmetic items, players who buy from the collection will also be able to listen to Iron Maiden's Fear of the Dark once any of these cosmetics are equipped in the match lobby. This, Behaviour said, will help "set the mood for the face-melting challenge ahead". Lovely.

This latest collaboration follows on from news of Dead by Daylight's upcoming Chapter known as All Things Wicked, which will be available from 12th March. The Chapter is an all-new original (unlike others based on existing horror IP) and, as you would expect, it looks and sounds as sinister as ever.

"The new Killer, The Unknown, is one shrouded in mystery. Many have claimed to have answers regarding its identity and purpose, but they've never been alive long enough to share," Behaviour teased earlier this week.

Along with a new Killer, a new Survivor called Sable Ward will also join the fray. "Racked with guilt over the disappearance of her best friend Mikaela Reid, her search for answers led her directly into The Fog," explained Behaviour. All Things Wicked also introduces a new map known as Greenville Square, a town with a "deadly history".

You can see a teaser for it all below. I hope you all sleep well tonight after seeing all that...
