After returning to the charts with his number 1 single ‘Forget Me’, the singer-songwriter announced his brand new record Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent which will be released on May 19th next year.

For album two, the idea is simple but potent: to emulate the success of his hugely popular debut Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent.

Selling over 10 million copies worldwide, the album propelled Lewis into superstardom and it became the biggest selling UK album of 2019 and 2020, as well as bagging a few BRITs and a Grammy nomination along the way.

“I don't want to create a new sound for myself, or reinvent myself.” says Lewis. “The songs I want to write are emotional songs, about love or loss.”

After selling out headline shows to hundreds of thousands across the continents, Lewis has gone on to headline his first ever festivals, on top of two sold out nights at London’s O2 Arena last month.

He'll now take to the road next year for a full arena headline tour across the UK & Europe.

Lewis Capaldi will be embarking on a huge tour next year which will include one night in Manchester at the AO Arena. The popular singer has announced 13 dates across the UK and Ireland from January 2023.

The Before You Go singer will bring shows in Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Sheffield and many more areas across the UK, Capaldi will also be taking the tour to European cities including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Paris and Prague. The tour comes hot on the heels of the singer’s welcome return to the UK charts with his first song in nearly three years.

His new single ‘Forget Me’ is now silver certified, and approaching 100 million streams globally. Lewis Capaldi has also announced a new album ‘Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent’ which will be out on May 19, 2023. The album will follow up his debut ‘Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent’ which was the biggest selling UK album of both 2019 and 2020.

The second album is said to be a ‘simple but potent’ idea with ‘no bells, whistles, or starry featured vocalists’. Speaking about the new album, Lewis Capaldi said: “I don’t want to create a new sound for myself, or reinvent myself, the songs I want to write are emotional songs, about love or loss.”

How to get tickets

Lewis Capaldi will perform at Manchester’s AO Arena on January 18, 2023. General sale tickets will be available to buy on Friday, October 28 at 9am.

Fans who pre-ordered Capaldi's new album from his official website before 4pm on Tuesday, October 25, received a special code/invite to get early access from 9am on Wednesday (October 26) via Ticketmaster and See Tickets, although pre-sale sold out very quickly.

Customers with Three could also get early access to tickets from 10am on Wednesday, October 26 as well as those with O2 Priority.

Scottish singer -songwriter Lewis Capaldi has announced a 2023 world tour and a second album, Broken By Desire To be Heavenly Sent.

He confirmed the tour and record on Twitter last week, a follow-up to his 2020 debut, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent, which featured the chart-topping Someone You Loved.

Fans can get their hands on general sale tickets on Friday, October 28. The pre-sale went live on Wednesday, but sold out in a matter of seconds, Capaldi said on Twitter.

With presale tickets for the tour set to go on sale soon, here’s everything you need to know about prices, dates and where he’ll be playing in the UK.

Tickets for Lewis Capaldi’s Boken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent tour range in price depending on the type of ticket you get.

There are three tiers of tickets, from £47.70 to £60.00 to £72.50, with these prices including booking fees.

When do they go on sale?

The pre-sale tickets for Lewis Capaldi’s 2023 tour went on sale on Wednesday, October 26 – at 9am for those with pre-sale access.

The pre-sale ended today – Friday, October 28 at 8am – with general sale set to begin at 9am.

Fans who pre-order new album Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent before October 25 will gain exclusive access to the presale.

What are his UK tour dates and where?

Lewis Capaldi is playing multiple dates across the UK, including in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The tour will kick off in Leeds’ First Direct Arena, followed by dates in Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle.

Lewis will then hit his native Scotland, starting in Aberdeen’s P&J Live venue on 23 January, followed by Glasgow, before heading back down to England for dates in Birmingham and Nottingham.

January 29 will see the star head to the island of Ireland with a date at Belfast’s SSE Arena and Dublin’s 3Arena, before playing a date in Cardiff’s International Arena on February 1.

UK and Ireland dates will finish up in Exeter’s Westpoint Arena on February 2, when the singer will then make his way to Europe to continue the tour.

Lewis Capaldi has announced a huge 2023 UK tour, including a performance at the M&S Bank Arena on January 19 early next year.

Fans can get tickets tomorrow as one pre-sale option becomes available. The Scottish sensation will perform in Liverpool as well as 11 other UK cities including Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield, and Glasgow.

For those wanting to buy tickets before everyone else, there is an artist pre-sale available to buy from October, 26 at 9am on Ticketmaster. Unlike majority of other pre-sales, this one is available to everyone as long as they buy one thing - Lewis Capaldi's new album.

Fans can access the artist pre-sale on Ticketmaster by buying his 'Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent', here. But the deadline for the access code is 4pm today, October 25.

Once bought fans will then receive an access code via email which can then be entered onto the Ticketmaster website when the pre-sale starts at 9am tomorrow (October 26). This applies to any format of the album including a standard CD or Vinyl.

This is the only pre-sale option for Capaldi's Liverpool show which is why demand is expected to be very high. Getting the pre-sale access code is the first of many steps fans should do to ensure they get tickets early.

The most important step is to update your Ticketmaster account details, including payment, address and other personal information. The cardholder name on the payment card should match the name on the tickets as if stadiums check this on entry and it doesn't match you can be refused entry.

It's also something to remember is updated if you buy tickets from a friend or via a third party. We've but together a small guide on how to increase the chances of getting tickets, as thousands of fans are expected to join the queue.

Lewis Capaldi Is “Really Sorry” After Pre-Sale Ticket Fiasco Guts Fans

“I didn’t realise the problem was so widespread.”

It turns out Swifties aren’t the only music fans to have serious trouble buying tickets to see their favourite artist live. Lewis Capaldi has now been forced to apologise to those who missed out after widespread issues with the presale tickets for his upcoming dates. Later this year, the Scottish musician will play three huge, open-air gigs at outdoor venues in Manchester, Edinburgh, and Belfast, with tickets for the short run of shows going on general sale on Friday Jan. 20 at 9am.

Ahead of this, Capaldi also held a presale for fans on the morning of Jan. 19, reserved for dedicated supporters who preordered his new album Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent . But the presale was unfortunately marred by technical issues. Mayhem descended when thousands of people who had preordered his new album didn’t get sent their access codes in time. In a bid to try and make things right, the Scottish star then opened the sale up to include everyone, regardless of whether they were eligible for a code, personally sending out a special link to scores of fans on social media. Tickets for the Edinburgh gig then sold out within 15 minutes.

Complicating things even further, there were also issues with the virtual queue on Ticketmaster’s website, and some fans reported that they were getting sent back to the beginning after waiting patiently for their turn. On Twitter, the star later revealed that 90% of the total tickets had been allocated to the presale batch. Though there is a further sale taking place later in the week, as mentioned above, Capaldi claims there will only be around “400 tickets in total” up for grabs.

"All pre-sale has sold out which is great but I more importantly want to apologise because I know there was a lot of issues getting on the site,” the singer said in a video posted to Twitter. “Whether it was some of the codes not being sent out, or the ticket site crashing. It always seems to be something goes wrong when we f*cking do one of these and I feel sh*t about it because people have pre-ordered the album and not been sent a code,” he admitted.

"It's f*cking annoying and I apologise to people who feel like they've been shafted and we'll try to work something out... It's not within my control and it was all a little bit late to stop it."

If you’re one of the fans who sadly missed out, all is not completely lost just yet — alongside an (admittedly slim) chance of copping tickets for his open-air shows tomorrow in the general sale, Ticketmaster also has limited availability for some of Capaldi’s other live dates later in January 2023, and the singer is also playing a bunch of festivals including Reading & Leeds .

Still fancy your chances come 9am on Jan 20? The general sale for those open-air shows is taking place on Ticketmaster, with Capaldi playing at Wythenshawe Park in Manchester on Aug. 25, Royal Highland Showgrounds in Edinburgh on Sep. 1, and Boucher Road Playing Fields in Belfast on Sep. 3.

Tickets for Lewis Capaldi's upcoming 2023 UK tour have sold out in a matter of seconds, according to the Glaswegian superstar. Within just a few moments of the tickets going on sale on Friday, October 28, all UK venues - including Cardiff - had sold out on Ticketmaster and See Tickets, with many people left waiting in online queues of over 30,000.

It isn't the first time this week that fans of the Forget Me singer have been left disappointed. Thousands entered the waiting rooms and online queues for pre-sale tickets for the tour which went live on Wednesday, October 26, but those tickets also sold out in seconds.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, the music star said: "PRE-SALE SOLD OUT IN SECONDS. am speechless... 3 years away and had no idea what to expect... you all just SOLD OUT the entire uk & europe pre-sale in literally seconds."

On Friday, he sent a similar message which read: "ENTIRE UK TOUR SOLD OUT IN A SINGLE SECOND at 9AM, completely lost for words thank u all so so so much".

His rapid sell-out shows comes as no surprise as, despite his raging success, the 26-year-old Scot promised fans ahead of the tour that he would keep ticket prices as low as he possibly could so that all could afford his show amid the cost of living crisis. Prices ranged from £47.30 to £70.

The star, who came to Cardiff earlier this year and performed at Cardiff Castle , also took to Twitter to apologise to fans who missed out on the chance to see the international hit-maker perform and to confirm that there "won't be any extra dates for any cities".

He said: "I really wish I could but I'm just one small chubby human who has to try to get to see as many of you all over the world as possible."

The Glaswegian singer will be coming to Cardiff International Arena - previously known as the Motorpoint Arena - on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 for his Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent world tour. He will also be making his way to Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield, London, Liverpool, Glasgow and more as well cities across Europe - such as Warsaw, Vienna, Berlin and Amsterdam -America and Australia.

This much-anticipated multi-stop tour comes soon after the singer made his welcome return to the UK music charts with his first song in nearly three years, that went straight to number one - his third single to reach that spot. The silver-certified hit single Forget Me is approaching 100 million streams globally.

His brand new album which shares the name of his 2023 tour, will be out on May 19, 2023 and follows on from his debut, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent, which was released in May 2019. It became the biggest selling UK album of both 2019 and 2020.

Lewis Capaldi was class, one of the best concerts I’ve been to. The atmosphere was just electric with the crowd being so supportive and enthusiastic towards the music. His humour in between his songs throughout the concert made it 100 times better as Lewis forms a strong connection with the audience, making him loved even more, if possible, by his supporters. I loved seeing Lewis Capaldi in concert and without doubt I would go to see him perform live again, it was a great experience.

BUT, the staff should give away free water from the front to back. Everyone that is not standing in the last row, and stands next to the bar, has no chance of drinking anything. I find it really uncomfortable, because dancing and singing makes verry thirsty! And if you are scared of the people thowing the bottles at the act, just give the water in cups. PLEASE!

Phenomenal show, even better live. Funny grounded charming and truly cares about his fans.

The only issue was the venue had the volume way to loud and the instrumentals and bass drowned out his voice and reverberated off the infrastructure creating a terrible noise. It's a fairly small venue and speakers of that power are completely unnecessary.

Extremely amazing show, huge amounts of talent including Billy Locket. Lewis was funny and entertaining whilst also portraying his emotion the whole way through the songs. He dealt with technical issues and any mistakes made extremely well and made it fun for everyone. An unforgettable experience. Would definitely go again!

The concert was great - especially the entrance and the beginning of the concert

But in our opinion, the talkingpart between the songs took over and any variation of f**k was used way too much.

Nonetheless, we will still go to an other concert of Lewis Capaldi, because the songs and the performance were breathtaking!

I was great his voice sounds even better in live than in studio but.. Pretty disappointed he hasn’t performed the whole album and I wished it had confetti at the show just like the previous ones.

I’ll come back and bring people to enjoy the next show.

Lewis was amazing live! His voice sounded the exact same as on his records and he kept cracking jokes in between songs. He had everyone dying with laughter, joking about how love is dead and how he lost his Grammy nomination to Billie Eilish. Was lucky enough to see him in Glasgow, Scotland near his hometown!

The show was amazing! I had such a good time Lewis is one of my favorite artist, and the whole vibe was just brilliant! I also liked how he comunicates with the audience, he makes the best jokes! I really enjoyed it and I hope that he will be back in Prague again!

Utter brilliance, best gig I’ve been too and I’d happily re do the night if it were possible! Support acts all the way to lewis capaldi just phenomenal. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to listen to amazing music and a great rising star in lewis.

2023 is already shaping up to be a great year for music. Beyoncé tickets are in high demand as the iconic pop star prepares to come to the UK, while fans are eager to get Taylor Swift tickets too, after she finally announced her UK tour.

And just like it was all hands on deck to secure coveted Arctic Monkeys tickets a few weeks ago, it's sure to be the same for hugely popular Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi, who will be part of the Glastonbury line-up this year. Here's everything we know about his 2023 UK tour, including how much tickets will cost.

How much are Lewis Capaldi tickets?

Tickets for Lewis Capaldi's UK & Ireland tour are priced between £47.70 and £71.50 - not including the booking fee. Standing tickets are priced at around £58. 

 For a chart-topping artist with a UK best-selling single under his belt, the tickets are very reasonably priced. Tickets to Harry Styles ' tour, for example, would set you back anywhere between £50.65 and £326.30.

Capaldi said on Twitter that the tickets "are the cheapest they could be," and that he won't "make any money at all" from them. Instead, they are priced to cover the cost of equipment, paying the band and travel expenses.

He added: "Wish I could make them cheaper but I wouldn't be able to come at all".

When do Lewis Capaldi tickets go on sale?

Tickets for Lewis Capaldi's 2023 tour will go on sale at 9am on Friday 28 October. Tickets can be purchased on the Ticketmaster website .

Those hoping to see Capaldi on tour will have to be quick, however, as presale tickets reportedly sold out within seconds. Fans were able to get access to the presale by pre-ordering his forthcoming second album, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent , which will be released on 19 May 2023. The presale tickets went live on Wednesday 26 October.

The new album will include Capaldi's most recent single, 'Forget Me', which is currently at number 3 in the UK single chart.

Speaking about his upcoming album, Capaldi told The Guardian : "I don’t have this sort of artistic desire to go off and reinvent myself. Not at all. I feel like the same person, so why would I be searching for something new? I was very conscious about not writing an album about being famous, being successful."

He added: "When I was writing the record, Covid was happening, everyone was in their houses, so my lived experience at that time was the same four walls, with my family, stuck in the same place I grew up - I was quite literally right back where I was on the first record."

Glastonbury, the world’s most famous music festival, returns this month and will see thousands of fans flocking to Worthy Farm in Somerset.

Co-organiser Emily Eavis and her team are preparing to welcome revellers to the site and play host to some of the biggest artists across pop, rock, indie, R&B, rap, punk and soul.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the big weekend.

When is Glastonbury 2024?

The gates to Glastonbury Festival 2024 will open at around 8am Wednesday 26 June, with the event running until Sunday 30 June. The majority of the live music performances take place between 29-30 June, with many of them also shown on TV.

A word of warning: there is no entertainment or facilities in the Glastonbury car parks, and guests are expected to remain in their cars until the festival gates open. Car parks will be open from 9pm on Tuesday 25 June, allowing festival-goers to avoid the worst of the traffic and arrive through the night.

Who’s playing Glastonbury this year?

After months of speculation and rumours that several bookings had fallen through, this year’s festival will be headlined by Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA , while country-pop superstar Shania Twain will take on the Legends Slot.

It was rumoured that Madonna was a strong contender to headline, as Eavis has previously expressed her desire to have the pop icon play the Pyramid Stage. However, The Independent understands that negotiations collapsed due to various requirements from the “Hung Up” star’s team, including the estimated cost of putting on a show that would match her 2024 Celebration tour.

Other rumoured artists in the running were Stevie Nicks, Cher and Stevie Wonder.

Other artists on the lineup include Avril Lavigne, Cyndi Lauper, Little Simz, Seventeen, Idles, The Last Dinner Party, Camila Cabello, Burna Boy, London Grammar, PJ Harvey, Janelle Monae, Fat White Family, Sugababes, Fatboy Slim, Michael Kiwanuka, Bloc Party, Two Door Cinema Club, Jessie Ware and Paloma Faith.

Are there any Glastonbury 2024 tickets left and how much do they cost?

The Glastonbury resale took place in April and, due to typically high demand, sold out in just 22 minutes. The cost of getting into the 2024 festival was £360 per person including the booking fee, up from £340 last year.

Eavis justified the hike last year in a statement that said: “We have tried very hard to minimise the increase in price on the ticket but we’re facing enormous rises in the costs of running this vast show, while still recovering from the huge financial impact of two years without a festival because of Covid.”

Are there any other ways to get into Glastonbury festival?

Besides the general resale, another great way to get into Glastonbury is by volunteering. Registration to volunteer for charities WaterAid and Oxfam has closed, but spaces do occasionally become available if people drop out.

Greenpeace also offers free entry to the festival and three meals a day to volunteers. In return, you are expected to work a minimum of five eight-hour shifts during the festival between 25 June and 1 July. However, applications for 2024 are now also closed.

Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi hasn't been seen since he announced an indefinite break from music to focus on his mental health last year.

However, in a glimmer of hope for his fans, the BRIT award-winning singer, 27, has teased a huge music comeback. The 'Someone You Loved' hitmaker spent time in his home studio with British singer-songwriter Dan D'Lion last week, hinting at tentative steps back into the industry.

In a photo obtained by The Sun , Lewis is seen happily strumming on his acoustic guitar in his home studio. Lifting the lid on his possible return to music, a source told the publication: "Lewis is doing really well, so much has changed in the past year. He has been looking after himself and getting lots of help and there's been a sea change in how he's feeling.

"There are no plans to return anytime soon but it's promising that he is back jamming with his mates and thinking about music. It looked touch and go whether he would want to, or be able, to return at one point. So things are really looking up."

It featured the Number one singles 'Forget Me', 'Pointless' and 'Wish You The Best'. Since then he has barely been seen in the public eye. In an emotional message to his followers on Instagram on New Year's Eve, the star spoke of his "marked improvement" in health and teased a deluxe edition of his album.

At the time, he wrote: "I want to make absolutely sure I'm 100 per cent before getting back out there again properly for more shows and doing what I love more than anything."

His dedication to self-care in the face of mental health challenges has been nothing short of admirable, showing just how much strength it takes to navigate the music industry's choppy waters.

IT has been almost a year since Lewis Capaldi announced an indefinite hiatus from music to focus on his mental health.

But in news that will bring fresh hope to fans of the Scottish singer , I can reveal he has returned to the studio .

The Someone You Loved chart-topper spent time in his home studio with British singer-songwriter Dan D’Lion last week, suggesting he is making tentative steps back into the industry.

My photo shows the pair there, with Lewis strumming on an acoustic guitar.

A source said: “Lewis is doing really well, so much has changed in the past year.

“He has been looking after himself and getting lots of help and there’s been a sea change in how he’s feeling.

“There are no plans to return anytime soon but it’s promising that he is back jamming with his mates and thinking about music.

“It looked touch and go whether he would want to, or be able, to return at one point.

Since then he has barely been seen .

He wrote: “I want to make absolutely sure I’m 100 per cent before getting back out there again properly for more shows and doing what I love more than anything.”

I am constantly in awe of how Lewis has navigated the music biz with his mental health issues.

He is doing the best thing in taking time out to look after himself.

Plenty of artists burn out quickly and I hope Lewis will make sure he’s on top form to continue making music for years to come.

Macca’s Got Back tour will come to the UK for several huge arena shows later this year

Paul McCartney’s last performance in the UK was his legendary set at Glastonbury 2022. Critics called it ‘ a masterclass from the greatest living cultural figure in this country’s history ’ and ‘ one of the most thrilling, uplifting, banger-filled, star-studded sets ’ that the festival had ever seen. 

If you missed out on seeing that show in person two years ago, now is your chance to make up for it. The Beatles icon has announced that he will finally be bringing his Got Back tour to the UK. 

Paul launched the tour in 2022 and has already taken it to cities across the US, Australia and South America, so we know a little bit about what to expect. Prepare to belt along to ‘Hey Jude’, ‘Live and Let Die’ and ‘Got to Get You into My Life’, alongside loads of other classics and some newer material.

When is Paul McCartney going on his UK tour 2024? 

Macca will be playing at Manchester ’s Co-op Live on Saturday December 14 and Sunday December 15 . Then he’ll be at the O2 Arena in London on Wednesday December 18 and Thursday December 19 . 

When do tickets go on sale?

Get it in you diaries – tickets go on general sale on Ticketmaster here  from 10am on Friday June 21. 

Is there a presale?

Paul McCartney 2024 UK tour dates, and how to get tickets

The musical icon has announced four new uk dates in december 2024.

Sir Paul McCartney has announced his first UK shows since headlining Glastonbury in 2022.

The Beatles star, 81, will bring his Got Back tour to London and Manchester in December 2024.

“I’m excited to be ending my year and 2024 tour dates in the UK,” he said.

“It’s always such a special feeling to play shows on our home soil.

“It’s going to be an amazing end to the year. Let’s get set to party. I can’t wait to see you.”

Sir Paul launched his Got Back tour in 2022, completing 16 shows across the US before his Glastonbury appearance.

The show includes music from throughout his career, including songs from the Beatles and Wings eras as well as his solo material.

i ’s culture editor, Sarah Carson, described the show as “a masterclass from the greatest living cultural figure in this country’s history”.

Featuring Paul’s longtime band – Paul “Wix” Wickens (keyboard, Brian Ray (bass/guitar), Rusty Anderson (guitar) and Abe Laboriel Jr (drums) – and the Hot City Horns, the tour promises state-of-the-art audio and video technology.

How Paul McCartney went from the least cool Beatle to musical icon

The tour dates mark his first live shows in the UK since his headlining set at Glastonbury in June 2022, where he became the festival’s oldest solo headliner.

That set featured surprise appearances from Bruce Springsteen and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl .

Sir Paul performed Beatles and Wings songs in a set lasting more than two hours, and was joined on stage by Springsteen for “Glory Days” and “I Wanna Be Your Man”.

His electrifying set was further amplified when he introduced Grohl to the stage to sing “I Saw Her Standing There” and “Band On The Run”.

When is Paul McCartney touring the UK?

Sir Paul will play Manchester’s Co-Op Live arena on December 14 and 15 and London’s O2 on December 18 and 19.

Sir Paul will also take his Got Back show to France and Spain, after previously announcing upcoming dates in Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Peru this October.

In 2023, he performed 18 shows throughout Australia, Mexico and Brazil.

How can I get Paul McCartney tickets?

Tickets for the UK shows go on general sale at 10am on Friday 21 June.

Priority tickets are available for O2 and Virgin Media customers from 10am on Wednesday 19 June.
