Since the release of Pokémon Go, many users have tried to play Pokémon Go without moving. Now, you must be wondering if it's possible. Well, the truth is that you can play Pokémon Go without moving, but some risks are associated with it.

There are various GPS spoofing applications available on the internet that allow a user to change their current location and move around freely to catch Pokémon. As for the risks, Niantic has strict regulations for such tools, and if you are caught using them, it can get you banned from playing the game.

Many users have experienced that they have been banned from discovering new Pokémon, catching them, collecting items such as PokeStops, and can't even engage in a battle. As a result, when you throw a ball to catch the Pokémon, it'll run away. Overall, the situation can be really frustrating. Still, the players stated that a soft ban wouldn't prevent them from using the spoofing tools. Hence, Niantic started to place a harder ban on the players.

The Three Strike Discipline Policy contains all the terms and restrictions over the use of Pokémon Go. It mentions the kind of behavior that will lead to a permanent ban. And using GPS spoofing is one of the practices that will get you banned. The good thing is that you will get three strikes.

  • For the first time, you'll get a warning message but still be able to play.
  • The second strike will close your account for only a month.

Pokemon Go: How to catch them all without leaving home

This post is sponsored by Foneazy.

Pokémon Go is a unique and exciting gaming experience. It allows users to explore their local areas and find Pokemon in an augmented-reality environment. With the help of GPS and camera technology, players can capture these Pokemon using Poke Balls and then battle them against other trainers or gym leaders.

The only "issue" is that you have to do a lot of walking to play -- something that isn't always possible, especially on busy work or school days. You need to put in a lot of miles to find random Pokemon, reach battlegrounds, or hatch Pokemon eggs. If you're serious about leveling up in this game, this is just something you need to do, and it’s the element that has pushed so many away over the years. Thankfully, there are ways around this issue if you know what to do. We’ll teach you all about it in just a moment.

Can you play Pokemon Go without walking?

Millions of people still play Pokemon Go every day, and many of them use some method to avoid walking around the neighborhood for hours on end. In addition, some cities have better Pokemon spawns than others, so simulating these locations without physically traveling to them can prove beneficial for obvious reasons.

Using a location spoofer is the easiest way to play Pokemon Go without walking . A location spoofer is a piece of software that fakes your GPS location, making the game believe you are in a different place than you actually are. As a result, you’ll see new Pokemon spawn on your map.

You can do this in different ways, but they’re all pretty straightforward. The best part is that you’ll get to enjoy the game from the comfort of your home.

How to play Pokemon Go without walking on iOS devices

Changing your location on iOS isn’t rocket science, especially if you have the right tools. One such tool we found useful is MockGo. MockGo is a GPS spoofer built for iOS devices, allowing you to simulate a game’s GPS movement without getting up from your chair.

Of course, we must note that Pokemon Go developers don’t necessarily approve of these sorts of tools being used to bypass location requirements. In fact, they actively discourage it. As such, we suggest that even if you use GPS spoofing software, do this rarely. Change your location and stay there for a while before moving again.

MockGo brings some cool features to the playground, allowing you to virtually change your location with a single click and set up a route and go on a “walk” between two spots on a map.

How to use MockGo to play Pokemon Go without walking

mockgo

MockGo is excellent software to use. We will guide you through the whole process so you’ll have all the information you need to get the next Pokemon egg hatched in no time.

Spoofing your location with MockGo

  • Download MockGo on Windows or macOS. Install the app on your device.
  • Use your cable to connect your iPhone to your computer.

mockgo search-location

  • Fill in the address where you want to teleport to and tap the search button.

mockgo teleport

  • Pull the cable out because you no longer need it. Launch Pokemon Go and enjoy all the creatures you find in this new location.

Please keep in mind that you shouldn’t use the teleport feature too frequently because it can get your account banned by the Pokemon Go devs for suspicious activity, which is something we all want to avoid.

Use MockGo to simulate walking around

Whether or not you use MockGo to travel to a different location across the world that’s up to you. But another cool thing you can use MockGo for is walking around your neighborhood to hatch those eggs.

  • Launch MockGo on your computer and choose the One-stop mode from the right top corner ribbon.

two-spot-mode

  • The app allows you to choose how many trips you want to take to and from that location and the speed you want to move. We suggest going for a realistic walking pace so you don’t get into trouble.
  • Click on the Start button, and your journey begins.

Playing Pokemon Go without walking on iOS devices

Using a tool like MockGo to travel around the neighborhood makes playing Pokemon Go much easier. Sure, it’s nice to go out into the world, and we recommend it, but the truth is that it opens up the game for a whole new category of people who love the Pokemon universe but can’t go out as much due to mobility issues or other reasons.

It can even come in handy when the weather’s bad and all you want to do is play Pokemon Go to pass the time until the weather improves. There are just so many cool applications for a tool like MockGo.

The lifetime plan for Foneazy MockGo costs $79.95, but by using our special discount code DHTTE3 , you can get it for $47.96. Monthly plans are also cheaper using this discount code.

How to play Pokémon Go while Social Distancing

Pokemon Go Wayfarer

Pokémon Go, the hit AR game from Niantic, encourages players to leave their homes and traveling to places of social importance. So, you might be wondering how you can still catch 'em all while social distancing. Luckily, there are plenty of methods to play from home, your car, or locations that are easier to manage without other people. Even better, Niantic is adding more and more ways that people can play Pokémon Go from the safety of home.

What's new from Niantic

As social distancing becomes more and more necessary, Niantic has made several changes to gameplay and teased many new features to help players keep playing Pokémon Go.

Current changes

  • Live Events: most live events, such as Safari Zones , are being postponed or canceled.
  • Reworked Events: other events, such A Drive to Investigate and Community Day have been modified to support solo play, and play from home.
  • Field Research: Research Tasks that cannot be completed from home or solo have been removed.
  • One PokéCoin Bundles: every week a new one PokéCoin bundle is added to the shop.
  • Increased Daily Bonuses: players earn 3x Stardust and 3x EXP for the first catch of the day.
  • Raised Caps for Gifting: players can now open 30 Gifts per day, hold 20 Gifts at a time, and receive more Poké Balls per Gift opened.
  • Go Battle League: players do not need to walk to earn Go Battle League sets.
  • Spawns: Pokémon spawns in the wild have been increased, allowing players to encounter more Pokémon from home.
  • Incense: Incense, an item that draws more wild Pokémon near, lasts twice as long with each Incense running for an hour.
  • Gym Radius: the proximity players need to interact with Gyms has doubled.
  • PokéStop radius: the proximity players need to interact with PokéStops has also been doubled.
  • Remote Raid Battle Passes : players can now purchase special passes to participate in any Raid on the map, regardless of proximity. Up to 10 players can participate in a Raid remotely.

Upcoming changes

  • Updates to Adventure Sync: Adventure Sync will be getting a significant update that will better support indoor and stationary activity, like cleaning up around the house or running on a treadmill.
  • Social features: players will be able to communicate virtually and participate in Raids remotely.
  • Virtual exploration: players will be able to explore the world around them from the safety of their home, visiting places of interest remotely.

Keep Pokémon Go up and running

The most important way to succeed at Pokémon Go is to keep the game running whenever you can. Open up Pokémon Go, plug in your phone, and go about your daily routine. If you keep the game up and running, you'll still be encountering Pokémon and, from March 12, 2020, until further notice, Niantic is boosting wild spawns . This means, even from your living room, you're going to see more Pokémon wherever you are.

Adventure Sync

For those times when you can't or just don't want to keep Pokémon Go running, Adventure Sync will keep track of your movement. Currently, Adventure Sync will keep track of your distance once enabled, but it will get a big update soon that promises to give in-game credit for activities done while stationary or at home, such as running on a treadmill or cleaning around the house. Currently, Adventure Sync can also work with two different fitness apps:

Apple Health

Apple Health can be set to sync with Adventure Sync:

  • Open the Apple Health app.
  • Tap your profile image in the right corner.
  • Select Apps under Privacy.
  • Make sure that Pokémon Go is listed as a connected application.

Before Adventure Sync, players could download the app to their Apple Watch. That's no longer an option, but your Apple Watch can still be useful because it can sync to Apple Health.

Read more about Apple Health .

The Apple Watch Series 5 syncs seamlessly with your iPhone and Apple Health, allowing you to hatch Pokémon Eggs, earn Candies from your Buddy Pokémon, and more.

If you're using an Android device, all of your Google Fit data can be applied to Adventure Sync, as well.

  • Open the Google Fit app.
  • Open the Settings menu.
  • Select manage connected applications.
  • Make sure Pokémon Go is listed as a connected application.

There are lots of smartwatches and other devices that work well with Google Fit. Click here for some of our favorites!

Accessories?

While Pokémon Go no longer supports the Apple Watch as a solo device, there are a few accessories that work with Pokémon Go to help you keep playing without keeping the game running constantly. There are two accessories which are officially supported and one third party accessory that works as well. All three of these accessories allow you to spin PokéStops and catch Pokémon while Pokémon Go is not running. They will only use standard Poké Ball,s, and you only get one chance to catch a Pokémon before it flees, but that's better than nothing when you're unable to play because you're jogging or riding your bike.

The first Pokémon Go accessory and the easiest to use, the Pokémon Go Plus syncs up to your phone via Bluetooth and alerts you when you encounter Pokémon and PokéStops. It can spin any PokéStop and will attempt to catch any Pokémon. The downside: it only uses regular Poké Balls and will only try once.

The Poké Ball Plus was introduced with Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! and has all the functionality of a Pokémon Go Plus, with added bonuses for the Pokémon games for the Nintendo Switch.

The Pokémon Go-Tcha is a third party alternative to the Pokémon Go Plus that works in a very similar way but with one major difference: autoplay. While you need to press a button on the Pokémon Go Plus or the Poké Ball Plus to spin PokéStops and attempt to catch Pokémon, the Pokémon Go-Tcha will do it all automatically.

Use Incense to draw in nearby Pokémon

You'll find incense among the items you're given when you first start playing Pokémon Go. Incense draws nearby Pokémon to your location, so you don't have to go to them. Ah, sweet, sweet laziness.

How to activate an incense pot:

  • Tap the Poké Ball at the bottom of the screen.
  • Tap Incense
  • The incense pot will appear on your main screen. Tapping it again will activate the luring effect for a period of 30 minutes.

NOTE: The timer will continue to count down even if you leave the app, and incense does work better if you're moving at least a bit, so consider going for a walk while your incense is running. However, Niantic is also offering a bundle of 30 incense for just one PokéCoin and extending incense to last an entire hour instead of half.

Know your local PokéStops and Gyms

It really helps to know your local area. Most places have at least a couple of PokéStops or Gyms that can be reached from your car. While you're probably avoiding the mall, you can still drive to your local Starbucks and reach the PokéStop without leaving your car.

Lots of public parks also feature PokéStops and Gyms, and the fresh air will do you some good after being trapped inside for days. If you are new to your area or just don't know it well, there are a few good Map Trackers that can help you find the PokéStops and Gyms near you!

Use a Lure Module at a PokéStop.

A Lure Module is a more powerful form of incense. You use Lure Modules by heading to a PokéStop and activating them at that location. Because Lure Modules benefit all Trainers (unlike incense, which only benefits you), you can usually spread the love (and the cost) among Trainers at a PokéStop. Consider going to a local park or similar outdoor stop, or even parking your car near a stop.

How to use a Lure Module:

  • Visit a PokéStop by tapping it on the map.
  • If no Lure Module is active (you'll know there's an active Lure Module if you can see pink petals floating around the PokéStop), tap the rectangle at the top of the screen that says Empty Module slot .
  • Tap to add a Lure Module from your inventory.

Note: There are also special Lure Modules - Glacial, Mossy, and Magnetic - which can draw in Pokémon of specific types, as well as make it possible to evolve certain Pokémon.

You don't need to walk to hatch that egg!

If you've come across a Pokémon egg, you've likely figured out their hatching cycle is tied to the distance you walk . There are two, five, seven, and ten-kilometer eggs — move that distance, and the egg hatches. However, as with the other changes Niantic has made until further notice, all Eggs are hatching at half distance. Now is definitely the time to buys a few Incubators and hatch all those Eggs.

So, with a gigantic caveat that you should be careful with your expensive electronics, you might consider doing the following:

  • Hop on your bicycle and go for a slow ride (thanks to Silph Road , we know that you can't go faster than 10.5 km/h).
  • Is the GPS signal in your location weak? Often, leaving your game running in an area with poor GPS signal will gain you distance as the GPS drifts about.
  • Own a Roomba? Get one and attach your phone to it. Clean and hatch Pokémon eggs without moving a muscle.

You're probably getting the idea by now: As long as it doesn't move too fast , you can trick the app into adding distance on those eggs.

Note: Pokémon Go determines your movement for hatching eggs by logging your location from point A to point B and then calculating the distance. You won't be able to hatch an egg by putting your device on a record player or taping it to your ceiling fan.

Driving Miss Drowzee: Your vehicle Is the ultimate Pokémon Go hack

First thing's first: Do not Pokémon Go and drive . Not only is it dangerously distracting, it's outright illegal in most places. However, if you hop in the car with your roommate or your kid, one of you can drive while the other is catching Pokémon for you both. If you live alone, you can even just let the game run while you take a slow drive around your neighborhood. Sure, you won't catch much, but you can still hatch eggs this way.

Note: Just keep in mind not to drive too fast. Going much faster than 10 KM/H won't work.

How to Move in 'Pokémon GO' Without Walking — Pros and Cons, Explained

Sam Bramlett - Author

Catching a Dratini in Pokémon GO

Remember playing Pokémon Red and Blue on the Gameboy and watching your little character walk across an entire continent? Or, maybe your first experience was with Pokémon Gold and Silver on the Gameboy Color. Even if your only experience with Pokémon was the show, you'd hear the famous intro, "I will travel across the land, searching far and wide." Well, Pokémon GO took that part of the experience literally when the game was released in 2016. Is it possible to play Pokémon GO without walking?

OK, so the Pokémon experience is less immersive, but you don't have to explain to neighbors anymore why you're in their backyard trying to catch a Clefairy. The downside is you're less active, but you're safer and won't have to spend all that time walking about town. Besides the option is always there to walk around if you feel like it. It's just nice to have the choice.

Does Nintendo even allow people to play Pokémon GO without walking? Yes and no. You'll have to download location spoofer software.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Pokémon GO (@pokemongoapp)

However, when using this software, be aware that Nintendo has issued soft bans in the past for players that used them. Basically, a location spoofer is a program that manipulates your phone's location on the GPS, making it appear as though you are somewhere you're not. Using this in conjunction with Pokémon GO , you'll be able to "walk" around town easily and catch Pokémon from the comfort of your couch. Just make sure that you don't download any sketchy software or try to jailbreak your phone.

A good program for iPhone users is IAnyGo. Android users should try Fake GPS Go Location. With these, you'll be able to trick Pokémon GO into thinking you're all over the place. Because you don't actually have to walk, you can travel long distances quickly. Besides using it as a way to find new Pokémon, you can also use it to hatch your Pokémon Eggs absurdly fast. Because the eggs hatch once you've walked enough, they get closer to hatching as long as you use the location spoofer.

While it's possible to manipulate your phone's GPS without having to download anything by jailbreaking it, that risks bricking your phone in order to play Pokémon GO remotely for a while. It likely won't be permanent. Pokémon GO is fairly quick to notice when people are manipulating their GPS. Don't risk destroying your phone when you'll just get soft-banned for your troubles. Since walking around is a core aspect of the game, it makes sense that there isn't an official way around it.

How to play Pokemon Go without moving: Catch 'em all from home

Pokémon Go has received a number of updates that make catching 'em all during more compatible with being at home.

Anyone who plays Pokémon Go knows the game is best enjoyed outdoors. Getting to catch Pokémon, visit Pokéstops and dominate gyms in the real world helped Pokémon Go be as popular as it is today. But it might be worth knowing how to play Pokémon Go from home.

  • How to beat Arlo in Pokémon Go

  • How to battle in Pokémon Go: PvP, battle rewards and more

Niantic, the developer behind Pokémon Go (and other mobile AR games like Harry Potter Wizards Unite ) took a number of measures to make it possible for players to enjoy the game when they're not walking around all the time.

Here's a deeper look at the game's stay-at-home updates and tips on how to play Pokémon Go from home. Be sure to check out our Pokémon Go Guide for more tips on how to be the very best.

How to play Pokémon Go from home

Niantic doesn't want its players taking unsafe measures to catch Pokémon while several parts of the globe are on quarantine orders. It made these changes to Pokémon Go:

  • A one-time purchase bundle of 30 Incense for 1 PokéCoin. Incense will also last for one hour.
  • 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during this time period
  • PokéStops will now drop Gifts more frequently
  • Pokémon habitats will increase and more Pokémon will be appearing in the wild

Niantic also offered two more changes to Go Battle League game play:

  • "We are removing the walking and PokéCoin requirements to unlock sets of battles in the GO Battle League."
  • "For Trainer Battles with friends, we’ve lowered the Friendship level requirement so you can send battle invites to Trainers who are your Good Friends or Great Friends."

Each of these alternations makes playing Pokémon Go from home more plausible. It may sound like Pokemon Go is simply getting easier, but it offsets players being outside less.

Tips for playing Pokémon Go at home

There are a couple of ways you can still enjoy Pokémon Go while you're stuck at home.

If your quarantine orders allow for outdoor exercise, see if there are gyms or Pokéstops within walking distance of your home. As long as you can get there safely and within the limits of your area's social distancing guidelines , walking to Pokémon Go landmarks is a good way to get some exercise and keep up with gameplay.

Keep Pokémon Go running as you go about your daily routine. You'll walk enough around your home to hatch eggs, and should even encounter some wild Pokémon thanks to Niantic's update. You can also use incense to lure Pokémon to you.

Now would be the perfect time to get in on Pokémon Go's online communities and local groups, too. You can add new players as friends, which lets you battle them and share supplies like Pokéballs and eggs.

And if you've decided to take a break from Pokémon Go until the lockdown is over, you could always pick up Pokemon Sword and Shield for Nintendo Switch or check out the best mobile RPGs for your smartphone.

How to play 'Pokémon GO' without moving an inch

"Pokémon GO" may be a video game, but it’s getting more people out of the house than ever before .

The game is tied to GPS and real-life locations so that players are forced to go outside to catch all the Pokémon, rack up experience points, and check in at Pokéstops.

But if you can’t leave your current location to go outside — say if the weather is bad or you’re stuck at work — there are a few ways you can keep playing the game.

The first tip is to use the incense that you can get at Pokéstops, in the store, or when you level up. You’ll find your incense in your items bag, which you’ll see when you tap the Pokéball at the bottom of your screen.

Once you click on the incense, it will start a 30-minute countdown in the top right of your screen. A circulating pink cloud will also appear around your avatar. It will look something like this:

With incense, Pokémon will be drawn to you (and only you) in the game, making them more abundant and easy to capture.

The second way to play "Pokémon GO" without walking anywhere is to insert a lure module into a nearby Pokéstop. You can get these lures by checking in at Pokéstops, buying them in the store, or when you level up.

You’ll find the lure module in your items bag, and once you reach a Pokéstop, you’ll be able to access it.

Basically, a lure module is a more powerful form of incense that attracts Pokémon to your location. Unlike incense, a lure module will be activated for all Pokémon trainers, so you may see quite a few people hanging out at the Pokéstop when one is activated.

Just like incense, a lure module will run for 30 minutes, giving you half an hour of Pokémon catching magic. You’ll know it’s active because you’ll see what look like flower petals falling from the Pokéstop.

So if you’re at work or at home playing "Pokémon GO," but don't feel like going outside, give a lure module or incense a try.

How to play Pokémon Go on iPhone without walking

Jibin

Pokémon Go is a popular augmented reality game that requires players to walk around to catch Pokémon. However, there are ways to play Pokémon Go on an iPhone without walking. In this blog post, we will discuss two methods: using a virtual location spoofer like iToolPaw iGPSGo Pokemon Go and using Incense and Lure Modules.

Play Pokémon Go without walking using iGPSGo for iOS

Play pokémon go without walking using incense on iphone.

By using a spoofer like iToolPaw iGPSGO Pokemon Go, you can change your GPS location on your iOS or Android device with ease. Here are some of its key features.

Features of iGPSGo

  • Teleportation : iGPSGo lets you teleport your GPS location to anywhere in the world. This means you can virtually travel to different places in Pokémon Go without physically moving.
  • Simulated Movement : You can simulate movement along a specific route, making it appear as though you’re walking, cycling, or driving in the game. This is particularly useful for hatching eggs and finding Pokémon in different locations.
  • Customizable Speed : Adjust the speed of your virtual movement to match your preferences, ensuring a seamless experience while playing Pokémon Go.
  • GPS Joystick Mode : You can control the direction freely when using Pokemon Go GPS joystick mode, making it convenient to access Pokémon-rich areas or PokéStops.
  • Compatible with Multiple Apps : iGPSGo is not limited to Pokémon Go. You can use it with other location-based apps and games as well.

Play Pokémon Go using iGPSGo

  • Download and install iGPSGo  on your Mac or Windows PC.
  • Connect your iPhone to your computer using a Lightning/USB cable. Make sure USB debugging is enabled on your iPhone device.
  • In the iGPSGo interface, click on the Teleport Mode option to change your location.

how to travel without moving in pokemon go

  • Click the Move button, and your device’s GPS location will be changed to the selected spot instantly.
  • You will now be in the location you selected, allowing you to catch Pokémon and spin PokéStops in that area.
  • If you want to simulate movement in Pokémon Go, you can do so by selecting the Multi-Spot Mode in iGPSGo. This will enable you to set a custom route and speed for your in-game character.

You’re all set!

To play Pokémon Go without moving and catch Pokémons easily, you have got to be a little smart. You might have heard the idiom, “If you can’t kill your enemy in a straight fight, better trap it.” The same trick applies to this game.

Get the best use of Incense

Pokémon Go has a pretty nice feature called “Incense” which allows you to lure Pokémons. Once you have enabled Incense, it emits the mysterious fragrance that attracts creatures. Having been smitten by the fragrance, Pokémons come close to you and get caught in your trap.

Incense is precious

When you start off the game, you are given two Incenses. After you have activated Incense, it lasts for 30 minutes. Even if you leave the game, it will continue to go on and get finished after the timeout.

If you don’t have Incense or have already spent it, you can buy it from the shop using Pokecoins. So, make sure to win a lot of Pokecoins while playing the game.

Wrapping up…

Some folks attach their iPhones to a drone and then mirror the device’ screen on a computer. As the drone walks around the nearby surroundings, they catch Pokémon from the comfort of their bed. If you don’t want to go outdoors but still want to play the game to your heart’s liking, it can be a good idea as well.

How To Play Pokémon Go Without Moving (Android & iOS)

Pokémon Go is a very popular AR-based fiction fantasy game by Niantic that has taken the world by storm. It has been an absolute fan favorite ever since it was first released. People from all around the world, especially Pokémon fans embraced the game with open arms. After all, Niantic had finally fulfilled their lifelong dream of becoming a Pokémon trainer. It brought to life the world of Pokémons and made it possible to discover your characters at every nook and corner of your city.

Now the main objective of the game is to go outside and look for Pokémons. The game encourages you to step outside and take long walks, exploring the neighborhood in search of Pokémons, Pokéstops, gyms, ongoing raids, etc. However, some lazy gamers wanted to have all the fun, without the physical effort of walking from one place to the other. As a result, people started finding various ways to play Pokémon Go without moving. A number of hacks, cheats, and apps came into existence to allow the players to play the game without even leaving their couch.

This is exactly what we are going to discuss in this article. We are going to go through some of the best ways to play Pokémon Go without moving on Android and iOS devices. We will be exploring the concepts of GPS spoofing and Joystick hacks. So, without any further ado, let’s get started.

Precautionary warning: a word of advice before we begin.

One thing that you need to understand is that Niantic does not like users trying to use hacks in order to play Pokémon Go without moving. As a result, they are constantly improving their anti-cheating protocols and adding security patches to discourage users. Even the Android team keeps improving its system to avoid users from using tricks like GPS spoofing while playing games. As a result, a number of GPS spoofing apps are practically useless when it comes to Pokémon Go.

In addition to that, Niantic also issues warnings to people using a mock location append ultimately bans their Pokémon Go account. After the recent security updates, Pokémon Go can detect if any GPS spoofing app is active. Therefore you have to be very careful otherwise you might end up losing your account. In this article, we will suggest to you some of the apps that are still usable and safe. We would also recommend you to follow our instructions carefully if you want to succeed in your goal to Play Pokémon Go without moving.

If you want to play Pokémon Go without moving then you will be relying on apps that facilitate GPS spoofing. Now some of these apps also have a joystick that you can use to move around on the map. This is why it is also known as a Joystick Hack. As mentioned earlier, some of these apps and features work better in older Android versions before the various security patches were released. In some cases, rooting your device allows you to unlock the full potential of these apps.

Now, in order to make things work, there are several workarounds like downgrading to an older Android version , rooting your device, using masking modules, etc. We will be discussing what is best for your phone depending on the current Android version that you are using.

What apps will you need?

Stating the obvious here, you will need to have the latest version of Pokémon Go installed on your device. Now for the GPS spoofing app, you can either go with Fake GPS or FGL Pro. Both of these apps are free and available on the Play Store. If these apps do not work, then you can also try Fake GPS Joystick and Routes Go. Although it is a paid app, it is much safer than the other two. After all, it is always better to spend a few bucks than to take the risk of getting your account banned.

Another thing that you need to watch out for is the rubber banding effect. Apps like Fly GPS keep switching back to the original GPS location quite frequently and this increases the chances of getting caught. You need to make sure the GPS spoofing app does not disclose the actual location to reach the game. One cool trick to prevent that is to cover your Android device with Aluminum foil. This will prevent the GPS signal from reaching your phone and hence prevent rubber banding.

Pokémon Go Joystick Hack Explained

Pokémon Go collects your location information from the GPS signal on your phone and is also linked to Google Maps. In order to trick Niantic into believing that your location is changing, you need to resort to GPS Spoofing. Now, the various GPS spoofing apps provide arrow keys that act as a joystick and can be used to move around on the map. These arrow keys appear as an overlay on the Pokémon Go home screen.

When you use the arrow keys, your GPS location changes accordingly and this makes your character move in the game. If you use the arrow keys slowly and properly, you can emulate the motion of walking. You can also control the walking/running speed using these arrow keys/control buttons.

Choose Between Downgrading and Rooting

As mentioned earlier, GPS spoofing isn’t as easy it used to be in the olden times. Previously, you could have simply enabled the mock locations option and used a GPS spoofing app to play Pokémon Go without moving. However, now Niantic will immediately detect if mock locations are enabled and issue a warning. The only workaround is to convert the GPS spoofing app into a system app.

In order to do so, you will either have to downgrade your Google Play services app (for Android 6.0 to 8.0) or root your device (for Android 8.1 or higher). Depending on your Android version you will have to opt for either of the two. Rooting your device is a little difficult and you will also lose the warranty. On the other hand, Downgrading will have no such consequences. It won’t even affect the performance of other apps that are linked to Google Play Services.

Downgrading

If your current Android version is between Android 6.0 to Android 8.0, then you can easily fix the problem by downgrading your Google Play services app. Make sure to not update your Android OS even if you are prompted to. The only purpose of Google Play services is to link other apps with Google. So, before downgrading, disable some system apps like Google Maps, Find my device, Gmail, etc. that are linked to Google Play Services. Also, turn off auto-updates from Play Store so that Google Play Services do not get updated automatically after downgrading.

1. Go to Settings>Apps> Google Play Services.

2. After that tap on the three-dot menu on the top-right corner and tap on the Uninstall updates option.

3. Our goal is to install an older version of Google Play Services, ideally 12.6.x or lower.

4. For that, you need to download an APK file for the older version from APKMirror .

5. Make sure that you download the right version that is compatible with your device’s architecture.

6. Use the Droid Info App to find out the system information accurately.

7. Once the APK has been downloaded, open Google Play Services Settings again and clear cache and data.

8. Now install the older version using the APK file.

9. After that, once again open Play Services app settings and restrict the background data usage and Wi-Fi usage for the app.

10. This will ensure that Google Play Services do not get updated automatically.

If you are using Android version 8.1 or higher, then Downgrading won’t be possible. The only way to install the GPS spoofing app as a system app is by rooting your device. In order to install the app, you will need an unlocked bootloader and TWRP. You also have to download and install the Magisk module after you root your device.

Once you have installed TWRP and have an unlocked bootloader you will be able to convert the GPS spoofing app as a system app. This way Niantic will not be able to detect that mock location is enabled and thus your account is safe. You can then use the Joystick to move around in-game and play Pokémon Go without moving.

Setup the GPS Spoofing App

Once you have made all the required preparations, it is time to get the GPS spoofing app up and running. In this section, we will be taking the Fake GPS Route as an example and all the steps will be relevant to the app. So, for your own convenience, we would recommend you to install the same app and then follow the steps given below.

The first thing that you need to do is Enable Developer Options on your device (if not already enabled). To do so:

1. Firstly, open  Settings  on your device.

2. Now tap on the  About  phone option then tap on All specs ( every phone has a different name).

tap on the About phone option. | Play Pokémon Go Without Moving

3. After that, Tap on the  Build number or Build version  6-7 times then the  Developer mode will now be enabled  and you will find an additional option in the System settings called the  Developer Options .

Tap on the Build number or Build version 6-7 times. | Play Pokémon Go Without Moving

4. Now tap on the  Additional Settings or System Settings  option and you will find the  Developer options . Tap on it.

tap on the Additional Settings or System Settings option. | Play Pokémon Go Without Moving

5. Now scroll down and tap on the “ Select mock location app ” option and select  Fake GPS Free  as your mock location app.

tap on the “Select mock location app” option. | Play Pokémon Go Without Moving

6. Before using the mock location app, launch your  VPN app and select a  proxy server . Take note that you need to use the same or a nearby location using the  Fake GPS  app in order to make the trick work.

launch your VPN app, and select a proxy server. | Play Pokémon Go Without Moving

7. Now launch the Fake GPS Go  app and  accept the terms and conditions . You will also be taken through a short tutorial to explain how the app works.

8. All that you need to do is move the crosshair to any point  on the map and tap on the  Play Button .

launch the Fake GPS Go app and accept the terms and conditions.

9. You can also search for a particular address or enter exact GPS coordinates in case you want to change your location to somewhere specific.

10. If it works then the message “ Fake location engaged ” will pop up on your screen and the blue marker that indicates your location will be positioned at the new fake location.

11. If you want to enable the Joystick control, then open the app’s settings and here enable the Joystick option. Also, make sure to enable the Non-root mode.

12. In order to check whether or not it worked, open Google Maps and see what your current location is. You will also find a notification from the app which indicates that the app is running. The arrow keys (joystick) can be enabled and disabled at any time from the Notification panel.

Now there are two ways to move around. You can either use the arrow keys as an overlay while Pokémon Go is running or change locations manually by moving the crosshair and tapping on the play button . We would suggest you use the latter as using the Joystick might result in a lot of “GPS signal not found notifications”.  Therefore, it wouldn’t be the worst idea if you do not enable Joystick in the first place and use the app manually by moving the crosshair periodically.

Also, in case you are compelled to root your device for the purpose of installing the GPS spoofing app as a system app, you can’t let Niantic find out about this. Niantic will not allow you to play Pokémon Go on a rooted device. You can use Magisk to help you out with this. It has a feature called Magisk Hide, which can prevent selected apps from finding out that your device is rooted. You can simply enable this feature for Pokémon Go and you will be able to play Pokémon Go without moving.

How to Play Pokémon Go without Moving on iOS

Now, it wouldn’t be fair for the iOS users if we do not help them out. Although it is quite difficult to spoof your location on an iPhone , it is not impossible. Ever since Pokémon Go was released on iOS, people have been coming up with ingenious ways to play the game without moving. A good number of apps sprung into existence that allowed you to spoof your GPS location and play Pokémon Go without moving . The best part was that there was no need for jailbreaking or any other activity that would void your warranty.

However, the good times did not last long and Niantic swiftly moved against these apps and improved the security that rendered most of them useless. As of now, there are only two apps namely iSpoofer and iPoGo that still work. There is a good chance that soon these apps will also be removed or made redundant. So, use it while you can and hope that soon, people come up with better hacks to play Pokémon Go without moving. Until then, let’s discuss these two apps and see how they work.

iSpoofer is one of the two apps that you can use to play Pokémon Go without moving on an iOS. It isn’t just a GPS spoofing app. In addition to allowing you to use a joystick to move around, the app also has a lot of additional features like auto-walk, enhanced throw, etc. In comparison to iPogo it is loaded with more features and hacks. However, most of these features are available only in the paid Premium version.

One of the best features of iSpoofer is that allows you to keep multiple instances of the same app. This was you can be a part of all three teams and use multiple accounts . Some of the other cool features of iSpoofer include:

  • You can use a Joystick in-game to move around.
  • You can see Nearby Pokémons as the range of the radar is significantly larger.
  • Eggs will hatch automatically and you will get Buddy candy without going on walks.
  • You can control the speed of walking and move 2 to 8 times faster.
  • You can check the IV for any Pokémon, not just after catching it but also while you are catching them.
  • Your chances of catching a Pokémon are much higher owing to Enhanced throw and Fast catch features.

How to install iSpoofer on iOS

In order to play Pokémon Go without moving on your iOS device, you need to install some other apps and programs in addition to iSpoofer. You need to install the Cydia Impactor software and it would be better if you can find an older version. Also, both these apps need to be installed on your computer (Windows /MAC/Linux).  Having iTunes pre-installed on your computer is also a must. Once all these apps have been downloaded follow the steps given below to install and set up iSpoofer.

  • The first thing that you need to do is install Cydia Impactor on your computer.
  • Now launch iTunes on your computer and make sure that you are logged in to the same account that you are using on your phone.
  • After that launch iTunes on your phone and connect it to the computer via a USB cable.
  • Now launch Cydia Impactor and select your device from the drop-down menu.
  • After that drag and drop the iSpoofer.IPA file into the Cydia Impactor. You might have to enter the login credentials of your iTunes account to confirm.
  • Do that and Cydia Impactor will bypass Apple’s security checks that prevent you from installing third-party apps from outside the Apple store.
  • Once the installation is complete, you can open the Pokémon Go app and see that a Joystick has appeared in the game.
  • This indicates that iSpoofer is ready for use and you can start playing Pokémon Go without moving.

iPoGo is another GPS spoofing app for iOS that allows you to play Pokémon Go without moving and using a Joystick instead. Although it does not have as many features have iSpoofer, there are a few unique features that encourage iOS users to choose this app instead. For starters, it has a built-in Go Plus (a.k.a. Go Tcha) emulator which allows you to throw Pokéballs without consuming berries. When combined with GPX routing and auto-walk feature, iPoGo transforms into a Pokémon Go bot. You can use it to automatically move around, collecting Pokémons, interacting with Pokéstops, collecting candies, etc.

However, you need to be more careful while using iPoGo. This is because Niantic is much more vigilant when it comes to detecting bots. The chances of your account getting banned are higher while using iPoGo. You need to be careful and use the app in a controlled and restricted manner to avoid arousing suspicions. Adhere to properly cool down guidelines to avoid any attention from Niantic.

Some of the cool and unique features of iPoGo are:

  • You can use all the features of Go-Plus without purchasing any other device.
  • It allows you to set a maximum limit for the number of each item that you would like to keep in your inventory. You can delete all excess items with a single click of a button.
  • There is the provision to skip Pokémon capture animation.
  • You can also check the IV for different Pokémons while capturing them.

How to install iPoGo

The installation procedure is more or less similar to that of iSpoofer. You need to download the  .IPA file for iPoGo and use signing platforms like Cydia Impactor and Signuous. These platforms allow you to install a third-party app using a .IPA file on your iOS device. Otherwise, you would have to jailbreak your device in order to bypass the security checks that prevent you from installing apps from outside the Play Store.

In the case of iPoGo, there is also the option to directly install the app on your phone just like any other app from the Play Store. However, this isn’t a foolproof plan as the license for the app might get revoked after a few days, and then you won’t be able to use it. It can also lead to the license of Pokémon Go getting revoked. So, it is better to use Cydia Impactor to avoid all these complications.

We hope that you find this information helpful and you were able to play Pokemon Go without moving. Pokémon Go is a really fun AR-based game but if you live in a small town then it will get pretty boring after some time as you would have caught all the nearby Pokémons. Using GPS spoofing and Joystick hack can bring back the exciting element of the game. You can teleport to a new location and use the Joystick to move around and catch new Pokémons . It also allows you to explore more gyms, participate in regional events and raids, collect rare items, all from your couch.

How to Walk in Pokemon Go Without Moving With Your iPhone

how to travel without moving in pokemon go

I loved Pokemon Go when it came out for the first time in 2016 but then I quickly realized I was too busy to play the game by actually walking to different places. If you’ve been craving to play the game from the comfort of your house, I’ll show you a tweak to play Pokemon Go without actually going outside. The best part; you don’t even have to jailbreak your iPhone for it. Let’s begin.

Download Tweaked Pokemon Go IPA file

The first step is to delete the existing app on your phone. Don’t worry, you’ll still retain all the progress you made with the game and back it up by logging in to your account. So, go ahead and delete the Pokemon Go app from your iPhone.

delete the Pokemon Go app from your iPhone.

Now, go to iSpoofer.com and download the tweaked IPA on your computer by clicking this link .

While the IPA file is downloading, download Cydia Impactor on your computer, if you haven’t already. It is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux operating systems.

Cydia Impactor

Now, run Cydia Impactor on your computer and connect your iPhone using a lightning cable. Cydia should automatically detect your iPhone/iPad but if it doesn’t, update your iTunes on the computer and keep your iPhone unlocked.

Cydia Impactor

Now, grab the IPA file we downloaded earlier and drop it on the Cydia window as shown in the image below.

Cydia impactor settings page

It would ask you to enter the Apple Id and password, it is the same ID which is logged in on your iPhone. Enter the details and proceed. If for some reason it doesn’t work, you can generate an app-specific password for the app.

Cydia impactor settings page

Wait for Cydia to complete the process, it may take a few minutes so make sure your iPhone doesn’t go to sleep. After the file is downloaded, you’ll see a Pokemon Go app on your iPhone but you won’t be able to open it. we’re going to sign the app from the Settings. Go to Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management > Trust “your Apple ID” .

Profiles & Device Management ios

This tweaked version of the app is exactly the same and you can even login with your existing Pokemon Go account to restore all the progress you’ve made so far.

pokemon go modded version

There you go. You can use all the tweaks available on the app such as walking using an on-screen joystick, increase the speed, etc.

You can also change a few more settings which may be considered ‘cheats’. These cheats include speed enhance, enhanced throw, fast catch throw, etc. You can enable and disable shortcuts which would allow you to teleport, auto walk, activate nearby Radar, etc, to quick access during the gameplay.

Closing words

This was a quick way to play Pokemon Go on your iPhone without going out. Even though it works like a charm, I would recommend you to take it slow. If you trigger any red flags at Pokemon Go servers, it would result in a ban. You can teleport once in a while, just keep it natural and go catch ’em all.

Keep catchin' em all

How to play Pokémon Go from home

Anyone who started playing Pokémon Go from the very beginning will surely remember the glorious summer of 2016 where you couldn’t go outside without seeing large groups of happy Pokémon Go players discovering the joy of interacting with, and catching, Pokémon in the real world.

However, venturing outside to play Pokémon Go isn't always possible, particularly right now as many players are having to self-isolate as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. In light of this, Niantic has been making some changes to the game that make it easier for trainers to keep aiming for the very best, even when it's not possible to stray far from home.

The changes are happening over time, so we've put together this guide on how you can continue to play Pokémon Go from your home that we'll continue to update as Niantic alters the game.

How Covid-19 has affected Pokémon Go

Coronavirus has swept through every country in the world leading to a global pandemic being declared. As a result several countries have declared a nationwide lockdown preventing people from going outside and therefore dramatically reducing the playability of Pokémon Go in a significant way.

It’s easy to scoff at the thought of Pokémon Go players being unable to visit Pokéstops or Gyms, but one of the prevailing positive things that emerged from the advent of the game was how it was changing people’s lives for the better - players were getting regular exercise, it was improving mental health and communities and friendships were developed. As a result the lockdown will have been a huge blow to the health and well-being of many Pokémon Go players.

Pokémon Go developers Niantic acted to put the safety of their players first and extended, delayed and then cancelled many of the events it had announced. In particular the game's Community Day, Raid Hour and Safari Zone events were stopped as they encouraged mass gatherings of players - while other raid events have also been cancelled "until further notice".

Beyond that though, Niantic has also done its best to make the most out of a bad situation by implementing a set of sweeping changes to the playability of Pokémon Go which are designed to enable players to still get their Pokémon Go fix from the comfort of their own homes.

What you can do on Pokémon Go from your own home?

Niantic has made many home-friendly changes so you can play Pokémon Go without venturing outside. In an initial update released on March 12, Niantic made the following changes:

  • Incense duration has been extended from half an hour to one hour
  • The hatching distance for eggs has been halved
  • Pokéstops now drop more gifts than usual
  • Inventory limit of gifts has been increased from 10 to 20
  • The number of Pokémon that spawn in the wild has been increased
  • A bundle of 30 incense has been made available in the shop for the significantly reduced price of one Pokécoin.

In a further update on March 23 , more in-game changes were made. A new one Pokécoin bundle was made available - this time for 100 Pokéballs. Both the Pokéball and Incense bundles were made available until March 30 but these bundles are replaced on a weekly basis (read on to find out the latest). In addition, the following changes were also made.

Safari Zone ticket holders are receiving in-game bonuses for playing at home, which include eight hour incense and a guarantee that all Safari Zone tasks will be able to be completed from home. The Genesect event was also adapted so that anyone purchasing the event ticket could complete it from home.

Niantic has also announced a new feature called ' Today View ' which collects a whole bunch of useful information like streaks and current events in one place to allow players to keep tabs of their game better.

While the Lugia Raid week was cancelled, an update on March 30 added a new one Pokécoin bundle which was available as a one-time purchase and contained 50 Great Balls. Remember, these Pokécoin bundles rotate weekly, with the contents changing each week. These bundles are now no longer in the game.

"We are continuing to prioritize updates to Pokémon GO features and experiences that can be enjoyed in individual settings," Niantic wrote in the update . "Events may vary in certain areas until further notice."

On March 31, Niantic rolled out a further updates , including changes to Pokémon Go Gym interaction distances to allow players to "team up in Raid Battles from home".

"The distance from which you can interact with Gyms has been temporarily doubled, allowing you to be farther from Gyms and other Trainers as you challenge Raid Bosses," Niantic wrote. "This change also allows you to spin Photo Discs at Gyms if you are within the doubled distance; however, it will not change the distance required to spin Photo Discs at PokéStops."

A further update from Niantic introduced on April 15 introduces the Remote Raid Pass - which can be purchased in the in-game shop individually for 100 PokéCoins.

The Remote Raid pass allows Trainers to join Raid Battles as soon as they begin, as long as the raid is on the Nearby Raid view or tappable on the Map View. Only one Remote Raid Pass will be required to join the raid and you’ll only be able to hold a limited amount of Remote Raid Passes at a time. In addition, only a certain number of remote players can join a raid at any one time.

At launch, those who battle remotely will have the same attack power as those battling in person; however this increase is temporary, with Niantic stating it will be reduced "at a later time". After that, those who battle in person at a Gym in person will have higher attack power than a Trainer battling remotely. Remote Raid Battles will still count towards any raid-related research and achievement medals.

"We will be adjusting this feature over time, including the ability to invite friends to raids regardless of their location along with the mentioned adjustment to Trainer attack power from remote locations and the number of Trainers who can join remotely," Niantic has said.

In addition, players will receive one daily bonus Field Research task - without having to spin a Pokéstop and a new buddy system has been implemented that sees a "buddy" venturing to Pokéstops for you to collect gifts. And, if that's not enough, you'll be able to power up your Pokémon faster: with the ability to give your Pokémon all the Candy and Stardust they need to power it up to your desired CP level at once.

Finally, Trainers will be able to stack the number of Star Pieces, Lucky Eggs, and Incense they want to use - up to 200 of each item. So you can stack the activation of multiple items at once.

In May , Niantic confirmed that it would be ending its 1 PokéCoin bundles but, in order to keep it easier for players to get items, it's still possible for Buddies to bring you Gifts from PokéStops, allowing players to send and receive Gifts with friends to receive items like Poké Balls and Berries. There's also a daily bonus Field Research task that can be accessed without having to spin a PokéStop, which can be completed to earn items. Finally, the distance from which players can spin a PokéStop has been doubled for a limited amount of time.

Those looking to take part in the Go Battle League will also see some changes that make home-play more possible. For the second season of the Battle League starting in June, Niantic is continuing to waive the walk and pay entry requirements. In addition, Players who are not in-game close friends will no longer need to be physically close to one another to Battle and will be able to send Battle requests to Good Friends and above. Trainers can now also initiate battles through QR codes which can be used regardless of friendship levels and distance.

On June 2 , Niantic announced that it would make it possible to invite friends to Raids, regardless of their location. The feature is being rolled out but when it's available players who join a Raid in person will see a + button in both public and private lobbies. Tapping this button will allow them to invite up to five friends to join the Raid too. Those being invited to Raids will see their invite either via a push notification or in their Nearby screen. Accepting the invitation will allow them to enter the Raid lobby, though their Remote Raid Pass will not be used until the battle starts.

Niantic also announced that its annual Pokémon Go Fest taking place on July 25 and 26 2020 will be a completely virtual experience, allowing players to take part in the traditionally in-person collaborative event from wherever they are.

One ticket purchased at $14.99/£14.99 for the event will cover two days of play and Niantic has said that it's working on a microsite "which will bring some of our favorite event activities to Trainers around the world. Just like the team lounges at an in-person Pokémon GO Fest, this site will give players a chance to take a break from catching Pokémon and interact with other Trainers, participate in fun giveaways, and get event updates." More information on this feature is expected closer to the event.

Tips and tricks for playing Pokémon Go at home

While the above changes from Niantic do certainly make Pokémon Go much easier to play at home, there are few other tips and tricks you can do to make playing Pokémon Go from your home a little easier.

If you are in a lockdown that allows for daily exercise, and there are gyms and Pokéstops within walking distance of your home, we’d recommend planning a walking or cycling route that incorporates them - but only if you are able to safely.

Pokémon Go also has many incredible online communities, including many local groups. It’s definitely worth checking them out.  You can add them all as friends, battle them and send each other gifts to keep your stock of Pokéballs and eggs up during the lockdown. Plus when all this has blown over you have a new community of friends to meet!

And that’s it! Enjoy playing Pokémon Go from home and stay safe!

How to get Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia in Pokémon Go

Image of Zack Palm

A large event in Pokémon Go means some fantastic rewards are available to players, and this time around, it’s centered around Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia . These two Pokémon are making their debut during the Pokémon Go Tour: Sinnoh and for players who participate in it.

You have a limited time to catch these two legendary Pokémon, which are different from their standard forms. Not only do they have unique appearances, but they come with distinct attacks that make them stand-out options for your roster. Catching and adding them to your collection requires you to go through a specific method, though.

Here’s what you need to know about how to get Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia in Pokémon Go .

How to catch Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia in Pokémon Go

Origin Forme Palkia and Dialga floating in space.

Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia debut during the Pokémon Go Tour: Sinnoh , a local event in Los Angeles, California , from Feb. 17 to 18 . They will be available later in a Global event from Feb. 24 to 25 . These two will appear in five-star raids during the event and disappear after these events end, but we can expect to see them again in five-star raids later in Pokémon Go .

Like other legendary Pokémon, beating Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia in the five-star raids gives you a chance to catch them after you win. However, they only appear at specific times during the Global event. These five-star raids spawn from 11am to 12pm , and then from 3pm to 4pm local time on Feb. 24 to 25.

It would be best to conduct these raids with other Pokémon Go players to give yourself the best opportunity to catch them. These two will be formidable adversaries, and you want to bring the best Pokémon to use against them. Five-star raids require teamwork and strategy to clear.

The rewards for completing these events include these unique Pokémon learning powerful moves, with Origin Forme Dialga learning Roar of Time and Origin Forme Palkia learning Spacial Rend . They also come with Adventure Effects, which benefit you while you walk around and play Pokémon Go . The Adventure Effect for Roar of Time pauses the timers for Incense, Daily Adventure Incense, Lucky Eggs, and Star Pieces while Spacial Rend increases the encounter range for Wild Pokémon and Gym raids.

After the Pokémon Go Tour: Sinnoh event is over, expect these five-star raids to disappear, and we shouldn’t see them return to another significant event in Pokémon Go . It is important to note that both Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia can appear in their Shiny versions during this debut, making them even more desirable.

The Pokémon Go ticket version you select also affects your chances of encountering these Pokémon. You have a better chance of encountering Origin Forme Dialga if you pick the Diamond Version. For anyone who went with the Pearl Version, there’s a better chance you can encounter Origin Forme Palkia in five-star raids. These five-star raids disappear when the Pokémon Go Tour: Sinnoh event ends Feb. 25 at 6pm in your local time zone.

Go Tour 2024: Road to Sinnoh is the lead up Special Research quest for both the Global and Los Angeles version of the Go Tour: Sinnoh event in Pokemon Go. It will automatically unlock for free for every player on Thursday 15th February at 10am (local time).

Keep in mind that you need to complete this quest before the Go Tour: Sinnoh Global event on Saturday 24th February to ensure you can properly enjoy it. If you attended the Go Tour event in Los Angeles, then your choice between Diamond or Pearl will carry over to the Global event.

Dialga or Palkia: Best choice for Go Tour 2024 Road to Sinnoh in Pokémon Go

When deciding between the Diamond and Pearl - Dialga or Palkia - version of the Go Tour 2024: Road to Sinnoh quest in Pokémon Go, we recommend considering which Adventure Effect you prefer.

Origin Forme Dialga's Adventure Effect, Roar of Time, has the ability to pause the timer on Incense, Daily Adventure Incense , Lucky Eggs and Star Pieces for six minutes. This can then be further extended in two hour instalments if you're happy to part with more Dialga Candy and Stardust. Thanks to this, Roar of Time is perfect for gathering additional XP, Stardust or hunting down rare Pokémon .

Meanwhile, Origin Forme Palkia's Adventure Effect, Spacial Rend, allows you to enter Pokémon encounters at an increased distance for you to 10 minutes. Just like with Origin Forme Dialga's Adventure Effect, this effect can be extended by spending more Palkia Candy and Stardust. This Adventure Effect can come in handy for rural players or people who don't have that much time to play Pokémon Go as it increases the amount of wild Pokémon you can encounter.

There's also three additional bonuses that your choice will unlock:

  • An encounter with Origin Forme Dialga or Palkia, which will know its Adventure Effect move.
  • The Adventure Effect will last for double the amount of time.
  • The Pokémon Go Tour: Sinnoh Global Special Research will reward either Dialga or Palkia Candy.
  • A Diamond or Pearl Go Tour: Sinnoh badge.

Since the above bonuses will make it easier to get and use one specific Adventure Effect, it really is best to make your choice based upon which one you prefer. (Though you could always base your decision on which badge design you like best - I'm not your boss.)

Personally, I choose the Diamond version of this quest as I want to use Origin Forme Dialga's Adventure Effect to increase the amount of time I have with the Daily Adventure Incense. (It would be really nice to finally catch one of those Galarian Legendary Birds ...) The increased Lucky Egg duration won't go amiss either.

It's important to note that if you attended the Go Tour: Sinnoh event in Los Angeles, then your choice of Diamond and Pearl will carry over to the Global event. This means if you picked Diamond for the Los Angeles event, you can not switch to Pearl for the Global event.

It's the the Season of Timeless Travels in Pokémon Go, so make sure you complete the Timeless Travels quest! The Road to Sinnoh is leading us into this weekends Go Tour: Sinnoh event, while also bringing the Masterwork Research: Glimmers of Gratitude quest. During it, take the time to try out Routes , Gift Exchange and Party Play while you're hunting down rare Pokémon , fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases .

How to get Go Tour 2024 Road to Sinnoh quest in Pokémon Go

The Go Tour 2024: Road to Sinnoh quest is free for every player in Pokémon Go as the Go Tour: Sinnoh Global event is also free. The only part of the event you do need to purchase is the Masterwork Research quest for shiny Shaymin, which will be available from Monday 19th February to Sunday 25th February.

The quest should automatically unlock once 10am (local time) on Thursday 15th February has passed. I will note that it took me opening and closing Pokémon Go several times for this research to appear in my version of the game. If you're experiencing a similar issue and have passed the time when the quest should become available in your region, I recommend doing the same. This will cause Pokémon Go to refresh and, eventually, should get a notification for the quest's beginning.

how to travel without moving in pokemon go

It's also important to note that while Go Tour 2024: Road to Sinnoh is a Special Research quest, you will want to complete it before Saturday 24th February. (Or Saturday 17th February, if you're attending the Los Angeles event.) This is because you need to decide between the Diamond and Pearl version of the event before you can fully partake it in. Sure, you could complete this quest on the first morning of the event, but do you want to cut into your Pokémon catching time?

Whether you choose the Diamond or Pearl - hope you enjoy the Road to Sinnoh quest!

Pokemon Go Guide: How to Walk and Move Around

how to travel without moving in pokemon go

For a mobile title, Pokemon Go is actually pretty complex. The game has a ton of different Pokemon to catch, and tons of new and different gameplay mechanics to mess with. But sometimes it’s the simple stuff that really messes players up. And with a game that acts so different from others that players are familiar with, the small stuff can totally screw with you. Still, it was surprising to hear that this was such a problem, but we’ll go ahead anyway. Here’s our very quick guide on how to walk or move in Pokemon Go.

So, the simple answer is…you walk. You see, Pokemon Go isn’t like other games. It actually uses the GPS in your mobile phone in order to determine where you are in “the game”. Everything in Pokemon Go is based around actual locations in the real world, so to move around in Pokemon Go and find the things you’re interested in, you actually have to physically walk and move around in the real world.

Driving works a well, and catching Pokemon can even work as someone else drives you around. You just need to watch the screen and be ready when a Pokemon is nearby. The range is still something people are trying to work out, but I’ve seen a lot of Pokemon get caught while in the car, or moving around via other means.

Essentially, you need to be constantly vigilant if you want to actually catch them all. You’ll also need to do a lot of walking and traveling. Pokemon are specific to areas and geographic details. If you want to catch some rare ones then check out this guide . Now that you know how to walk around in Pokemon Go it will be helpful for you.

If you have any other questions about Pokemon Go then just leave them in the comments below.
