Mutter Tour

The Mutter Tour was the third concert tour by Rammstein . It is named after the band's third album, Mutter , which was released on 2 April 2001. The tour had 116 concerts, the first one being on 13 May 2001 in Nuremberg (not counting the private shows for the members of the official fanclub on 1 and 11 May 2001 in Berlin) and the last on 13 July 2002 in Caminha, Portugal.

• 18.05.2001 - This show was supposedly fully recorded. Ich will and Links 2-3-4 were released on Lichtspielhaus . Live audio of Ich will and Links 2-3-4 was also recorded here, and later released on the Tour Edition of the Mutter album.
• 01.06.2001 - The Ramones cover song Pet Sematary , released on the single Ich will , was recorded at this concert. Live audio of Sonne and Spieluhr was also recorded here, and later released on the Tour Edition of the Mutter album.
• 09.06.2001 - The last known performance of Nebel .
• 15.06.2001 - The first concert in Iceland.
• 18.07.2001 - During Pet Sematary , the band was joined by C.J. Ramone and Marky Ramone from the Ramones as well as Jerry Only from the Misfits.
• 24.10.2001 - Daron Malakian of System of a Down fell in for Paul during this concert.
• 08.11.2001 - Rammstein perform Ich will at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
• 12.11.2001 - The first performance of Halleluja .
• 17.11.2001 - The first concert in Russia, as well as the first known performance of Rammstein's version of Lied von der unruhevollen Jugend .
• 19.11.2001 - The last performance of Rammstein's version of Lied von der unruhevollen Jugend and 5/4 .
• 21.11.2001 - The first concert in Lithuania.
• 22.11.2001 - The first concert in Latvia.
• 23.11.2001 - The first concert in Estonia.
• 25.11.2001 - The first concert in Finland.
• 05.12.2001 - The last public performance of Spieluhr .
• 15.12.2001 - The last concert in 2001, as well as the last performance of Pet Sematary .
• 14.05.2002 - The first concert in Scotland and the first concert in 2002.

The setlist went through numerous different iterations during the tour, never remaining the same for extended periods of time. Due to this changing nature, not all dates are present in the tables below, only those that are known for sure. If one or more dates have an unknown setlist, but are grouped below, then it is assumed they shared a setlist with a known concert. When this is the case, a note will be present to signify this. The setlist of the TV performance on 8 November 2001 is also not included here.

Maniant au mieux les mélodies perverses, ce quatuor sait aussi donner une âme puissante aux machines. Héritier de Ministry et de Laibach, Rammstein mélange brutalement metal et éléments industriels. Les vocaux gutturaux en allemand donnent une autre dimension à un ensemble d'une puissance monolithique. "Links 234", "Sonne" ou "Ich Will" sortent brillamment d'un lot à la capacité ravageuse. Rammstein a mis le turbo sur ce troisième album et ça fait très mal.

The COVID-19 infection you caught at a Taylor Swift concert is not a gift from 'Mother'

• Forget friendship bracelets — some Swifties are calling Covid-19 their new concert souvenirs.
• Some fans who got COVID-19 after attending her Eras Tour are calling it a "gift" from "Mother."
• In an informal poll on X after the Madrid show, over 3,700 people said they contracted the virus.

It's been years since the pandemic times of COVID-19 lockdowns and the era of mandated masking. But while the virus is still circulating, some Swifties have become wildly optimistic about what it means to catch an infection at one of their idol's concerts.

So much so that some Swifties on social media are playfully dubbing the COVID-19 infection they think they got from her concerts a "souvenir" and a "gift" from "Mother."

A post on X from a Spanish Taylor Swift fan account asked followers: "Did you go to #MadridTStheErasTour and take COVID, a virus, or a cold with you as a souvenir? I open a survey."

Of the nearly 10,800 votes, 35% voted yes. People in the poll's comments section described their symptoms and showed their positive COVID-19 tests — but also raved about how they thought it was worth it.

The poll has been viewed nearly 144,000 times at press time.

One X user commented : "Going to Taylor's concert has meant losing my voice, losing my mental health and, well, my health in general, I'm more dead than alive (but I would go to the concert a thousand more times)."

Earlier in February, an Australian concertgoer posted a TikTok of herself dressed up in her concert outfit and glam makeup. The video then cut straight to her holding up a positive COVID-19 test kit in bed.

She captioned the post: "The Eras Tour souvenir no ones talking about. if youre heading to the sydney shows this weekend, wash your hands regularly!"

However, other X users have voiced their disbelief at Swifties calling the virus a souvenir.

One X user wrote: "Taylor Swift's concert attendees are calling their Covid infections 'souvenirs' and 'gifts' from 'Mother,' and I'm supposed to NOT wanna launch myself into the sun???"

Concerts have gained notoriety as COVID-19 superspreader events. In 2021, over 2,200 people caught the virus after going to music festivals in northeast Spain.

And while the virus is treated more like the common flu now, COVID-19 is still circulating — and people are getting infected across the US.

Virus-spreading or not, Swift's Eras Tour has been widely successful, propelling the singer-songwriter to billionaire status . Swift is now in the UK for her next leg of the tour.

Swift's representative didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.
