• To be eligible, candidates must pass their 10+2 exams with the specified marks. Following this, they’ll need to clear both JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

• A merit list will be generated, categorising individuals based on their 12th grade test results, JEE Main, and JEE Advanced/AAT scores, and displaying their All India Rank (AIR).
• Registration for counselling is conducted exclusively online through the official JoSAA platform. Candidates must personally complete the mandatory steps of choice filling and locking, arranging their branch preferences in descending order.
• The allocation of seats in each counselling round is determined by IIT KGP’s defined cut-off.

IIT Kharagpur Scholarships

Scholarships will only be granted to a maximum of 25% of annually admitted students in the Undergraduate and Dual Degree programs. MCM scholarship awardees are exempt from paying the Institute tuition fee but must still fulfil payment obligations for other specified fees.

• MCM scholarships are awarded for the complete 12-month academic session, which runs from July of one year to June of the next.
• Scholarships for July will be fully disbursed, irrespective of the Institute’s reopening date post-Summer Vacation, provided students register as scheduled. Otherwise, July’s scholarship will be prorated.

HBO's insanely popular fantasy TV series Game of Thrones has invaded almost every aspect of a true fan's life. From GoT themed job interviews to belly dancing to GoT inspired Tabla cover , you name it, it's out there.

More recently, an IIT-Kharagpur student Prateek Srivastava used the GoT opening reel to show the entire IIT-Kharagpur campus, zooming in and out of different locations as in the GoT theme.

The video starts with a quote by India's first PM Jawaharlal Nehru: "Here in the place of that Hijli Detention Camp stands the fine monument of India, representing India's urges, India's future in the making. This picture seems to me symbolical of the changes that are coming to India."

"This ain't Westeros or Free Cities. It's the fabulous IIT Kharagpur. Believe me it's worth a while, Watch the campus GoT style," Prateek said in the description of the YouTube video.

It took him 12 days to make the video and he used Blender and Adobe Premier Pro softwares for design and animation.

Sharing the video on Facebook, IIT-Kharagpur director Partha Pratim Chakrabarti said, 'IIT KGP Students express their creativity and passion for their alma mater. Experience and Relive the joy of learning and becoming(sic)".
