Table of Contents
Pushkar Desert Safari:
Move a little further from the Pink City, and you’ll find yourself in the captivating oasis of Pushkar . Known for its sacred lake, ancient temples, and vibrant festivals, Pushkar also beckons adventurers with its enthralling desert safari experience. Nestled approximately 150 kilometers west of Jaipur, the holy town of Pushkar has more to offer than meets the eye. Venture beyond the bustling streets and immerse yourself in an enchanting desert safari experience.
Whether you are an adrenaline junkie seeking exhilarating rides across the undulating dunes or a nature lover yearning for a tranquil escape amidst the desert flora and fauna, pushkar desert safari has something for everyone. So buckle up and venture into the heart of the desert through the mystical sands.
Prime attraction
Pushkar offers a unique opportunity to embark on a desert safari adventure that combines the tranquility of the desert landscape with the charm of this holy city. So be ready as the sands of Thar Desert await, promising an unforgettable safari experience. A scenic drive from Jaipur to Pushkar unveils a dramatic shift in scenery, with arid landscapes giving way to rolling sand dunes and expansive desert vistas. As you arrive in Pushkar, you’ll find yourself surrounded by a magical aura, where spirituality blends seamlessly with the rugged beauty of the desert.
Pushkar’s desert safari experiences are centered around the vast sand dunes that stretch as far as the eye can see. Here, you can partake in a range of activities that will get your adrenaline pumping and offer an intimate glimpse into the traditional way of life in Rajasthan. The desert safari in Pushkar is not just about adventure; it also provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan. Encounter the warm hospitality of local desert communities, witness captivating folk performances, and savor traditional Rajasthani cuisine under the starlit sky. As the sun sets over the desert, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, you’ll find yourself enchanted by the sheer beauty and tranquility of this magical place.
Dausa Desert Safari:
For those seeking a more offbeat desert experience, head towards Dausa , located about 60 kilometers northeast of Jaipur. Known for its rich history and ancient forts, Dausa is the nearest desert from Jaipur and also offers a thrilling desert safari escapade. While Dausa itself is not a popular tourist destination for desert safaris compared to other cities like Jaisalmer or Bikaner, it does have options for desert experiences that you can explore.
One of the notable attractions in Dausa is the Talab-E-Shahi, a historical lake surrounded by sandy dunes. Visitors can enjoy camel rides and explore the scenic surroundings of the lake. Additionally, you may also find local tour operators or resorts in the area that offer desert safari experiences. Hop on a sturdy jeep or ride a camel as your expert guide navigates through the undulating sand dunes of Dausa.
It’s worth mentioning that due to Dausa’s lesser-known status as a desert safari destination, the options and infrastructure for desert safaris may not be as developed or extensive compared to cities like Jaisalmer. However, if you’re in the vicinity and looking for a unique desert experience, Dausa can offer a more offbeat and serene environment for a desert safari.
Feel the rush of adrenaline as you ride to the deepest points of the villages at Dausa. As you explore this hidden gem, keep your camera ready to capture the raw beauty of the arid terrain, mud tracks, the vast fields, mud houses and the glimpses of local wildlife that call this desert their home. Witness the amazing wildlife like tigers, leopard, striped Hyena, Golden Jackal, Chital, Sambhar, Blue Bull, Chinkara and Four Horned antelope.
Embark in an exciting desert safari and ride through the sand dunes and feel the wind whipping through your hair and the desert landscape unfolds before your eyes. Make your evening special by witnessing the wonderful sunset. Remember to pause, take a deep breath, and marvel at the silence and vastness that surrounds you.

Arrival in Jaipur | Welcome to the 'Pink City of India'
- Arrive at Jaipur, where our representative will transfer to your hotel. Check-in upon arrival at the hotel after 2:00pm. - Today we will visit the elegant Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) - this elaborate building, now little more than a fa?ade, is encrusted with delicate screens and carved balconies from which the royal ladies, confined to their quarters, could sneak views of the outside world. - Blue Pottery : Blue Pottery is widely recognized as a traditional craft of Jaipur, though it is Turko-Persian in origin. The name 'blue pottery' comes from the eye-catching cobalt blue dye used to color the pottery. It is one of many Eurasian types of blue and white pottery, and related in the shapes and decoration to Islamic pottery and, more distantly, Chinese pottery. It is relatively unusual as a type of quality or luxury Indian pottery, most Indian types being functional and though often highly decorated, relatively low prestige wares. Later shopping at the Jaipur local Market; Today, Jaipur reaps the benefits of its founder's foresight in the form of shops marketing jewelry, textiles, and numerous types of locally-made crafts. There is a lot to shop and find. Some of them are: - Home Furnishing - Bags - Home D?cor Stuff - Silverware - Gifts - Handicrafts - Gemstones - Jewelry (Silver/ Gold/ Colored Gemstones) - Marble Products - Marble sculptures - Traditional block print garments and textiles - Blue pottery - The list is endless.... - For handicrafts like puppets, bandhanwars, wall hangings, white metal artifacts, we will go to Linking Road in Bapu Bazaar next to Saraogi Mansion. Nehru Bazaar is also a must-visit place for textiles, local perfumes, shoes made of camel skin (juttis/ mojaris), Rajasthani trinkets and bandhani work. - Overnight at Hotel

Pushkar Desert Safari
Desert Safari is on the bucket list of almost every traveler and we Indians have got it all covered in our own the Thar Desert. Most people searching for a Rajasthan Desert Safari head straight to Jaisalmer, but there are better options away from the crowds, that allow a more genuine taste of desert life in Rajasthan.
Do you know the Thar Desert or Great Indian Desert forms a total of 10% of India’s landmass and also it is the 17th largest in the world?
Desert camps, camel rides, and sunset watching from the dunes is a surreal experience. Exploring the desert in less crowd is bliss, Finding a quiet spot in the sand for yourself may prove to be mission impossible. So let's explore these hidden deserts.
P.S: Winters are the perfect time to visit Desert then why wait? Pack your bags!
Pushkar is the land of pilgrims, also called as "City of Temples". Along with temples, it is famously known for its biggest Camel Fair and its beautiful architectural heritage makes it a must visit place in Rajasthan. Jaisalmer Tourist Attractions
If geology interests you, then Jaisalmer is where you need to journey. The Wood Fossil Park or Aakal is located about 15 kilometres away from the city. Here, one can discover and trace geologic tragedies that occurred in the Thar Desert 180 million years ago. The city of Jaisalmer also acts as the guard to western Rajasthan (and India’s) frontier. This 'Golden City’ is located close to the Pakistan border and in close proximity to the Thar Desert. The city’s most prominent landmark is the Jaisalmer Fort, also called Sonar Qila (Golden Fort). Unlike most other forts in India, Jaisalmer Fort is not just a tourist attraction. It houses shops, hotels and ancient havelis (homes) where generations continue to live. Jaisalmer traces its inception to the 12th century. History tells us of Rawal Jaisal, the eldest heir of the Rawal of Deoraj, was passed over for the throne of Lodurva and a younger half-brother was crowned king. Rawal Jaisal went looking for a new location to set up his capital when he came across sage Eesul. The sage told him about Krishna’s prophecy which said that a descendant of his Yaduvanshi clan would found a new kingdom at this same spot. It was in 1156 that Rawal Jaisal constructed a mud fort, named it Jaisalmer after himself and declared it his capital.
