Multi-platinum, award winning group blink-182 have announced their biggest tour ever, a colossal global outing with Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker reuniting for the first time in nearly 10 years. Produced by Live Nation, the worldwide trek includes their first ever performances in Latin America along with stops in North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand starting March 2023 through February 2024.

The band will also drop their new single “Edging'' this Friday, October 14, marking the first time in a decade that Mark, Tom and Travis have been in the studio together.

The tour announcement also features multiple festival appearances in Latin America and the US, including Lollapalooza alongside co-headliners Billie Eilish & Drake and the 2023 edition of We Were Young with Green Day among others.

Reunited pop-punk icons Blink-182 will be back on the road in the summer of 2024 with a stadium and arena tour through North America in support of their just-released album, “One More Time .”

Produced by Live Nation, the 30-city trek includes stadium performances at Petco Park in the band’s hometown of San Diego, SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Citi Field in New York, Fenway Park in Boston, and Rogers Centre in Toronto, along with 25 arena performances. “One More Time” marks the first time in a decade that the original trio of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker have been in the studio together.

Pierce The Veil, a fellow rock band native to San Diego, will join the North American leg as a special guest.

The tour announcement ties a bow on an exciting year for the “All The Small Things” musicians, who announced in October last year that DeLonge would be reinstated as part of the band. The singer/guitarist had previously left the group twice, once in 2005 and again in 2014. Their new album One More Time… marked the first time Blink’s classic lineup had been in the studio together in a decade and features 17 Barker-produced tracks, including Alternative Airplay No. 1 s “Edging” and “One More Time.”

Blink-182 announces Fenway Park tour date

BOSTON (WHDH) - The award-winning punk rock band Blink-182 is coming to Boston next year. 

The band announced its local stop on Monday as part of its “One More Time Tour.”

The tour’s North American leg will kick off on June 20 in Orlando. Blink-182 will then take the stage at Fenway Park on July 23 with special guest Pierce the Veil. 

Blink-182 formed in the 1990s and released its latest album, One More Time , last week.

Tickets for all tour dates will go on sale on Friday on the Blink-192 website .

Blink-182 reunion tour coming to Boston in 2023

BOSTON - Blink-182 is coming to Boston next year as they embark on a new world tour and reunite with a founding member of the group.

The punk rock band will play the TD Garden on May 21 with special guest Turnstile.

The tour will include guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLonge, who left the band in 2015.

Blink-182 getting back together for worldwide tour that includes stop in Boston

BOSTON — Blink-182 on Tuesday announced that it will reunite with its original members for a worldwide tour that includes a concert date in Boston.

The iconic rock trio, including founding member Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker, are getting back together for the first time in nearly a decade.

In a Facebook post , the band wrote, “We’re coming. Tour’s coming. Album’s coming. Tom’s coming. Tickets on sale Monday. New song EDGING out Friday.”

The new song marks the first track recorded with DeLonge since he left the band in 2015.

The tour kicks off on March 11, 2023, in Tijuana, Mexico. Blink-182 will perform at the TD Garden on May 21, 2023.

Rise Against, Turnstile, The Story So Far, and Wallows will also be performing alongside Blink-182.

Tickets for the tour go on sale Monday, Oct. 17.

What’s their age again? Blink-182 brings youthful hijinks to Fenway Park.

At first blush, blink-182 seems like a band that you grow out of, possibly as you’re listening to them.

Masturbation jokes, porn-star album covers, and (literal) potty humor: You want ‘em, they got ‘em, all set to a bratty-fratty-dumb, punk-pop soundtrack. But two of their biggest songs are about how their idiotic, youthful hijinks aren’t so cute anymore — even as they’re still doing them — suggesting that they’ve at least considered the possibility of trudging in the direction of maturity ever since “Dammit” broke out in the late ‘90s.

But considering something is not the same as doing something, and if blink-182 aren’t willing to outgrow blink-182, why should their fans ? And so, there they were Tuesday at Fenway Park , two men pushing 50 and one who’s already crossed that line, punctuating their tales of arrested development with crude boasts about what they plan to do with each other’s mothers and blaming audience members for their parents’ divorces. When they sang “Life is too short to last long” in the time-is-fleeting song “Bored To Death,” it was hard not to also hear a sex joke in there.

That crude, idiocy-fueled material was charging, hopped up, and bright, throwing tuneful vocals over a nearly hardcore abandon. The latter was due almost entirely to Travis Barker, whose drumming took on the same overdrive role typically given over to guitar, something that was both a boon and a liability.

In songs like “Carousel,” where Mark Hoppus’s lithe, melodic bass gave way to breakneck drums, with Tom DeLonge’s economic guitar lead riding on top, Barker was able to push the band in ways that can be crucial for a three-piece. But he could also overwhelm the songs, drumming with a heavy, busy hand on “The Rock Show” and “Anthem Part 3.”

Even so, Barker provided most of the texture, as “Aliens Exist” flung forward with headlong momentum, and with him behind the kit (and, for a few songs, above the stage), blink-182 had some variety in their arsenal. A swinging glam roll gave “Edging” the feel of an arms-around-the-shoulder drinking song, the airier “I Miss You” rode an easygoing bounce, and new song “Can’t Go Back” combined muted, atmospheric New Wave guitar, half-time drums, and an insistent, unwavering bass line to strong effect.

There were even hints of poignancy, with the closing “One More Time” nodding to blink-182′s tumultuous history and clinging to their lasting bond, set to shuddering, ringing chords as Barker played with a light touch. Mostly, though, it was largely the band, whose guitarist sidled up behind the drummer during the breakdown of “All the Small Things,” nuzzling him close enough that he almost lost focus. “It’s called being stupid,” said Hoppus at one point, “look into it.”

In 2016, after reforming, losing bands members and welcoming new ones - Blink 182 released the album California which, upon release, went on to become the bands second number one album in 15 years. The album featured singles 'Bored to Death' and 'Good Old Days' - but is mostly celebrated by Blink due to earning the band their first nomination for Best Rock Album at the Grammy Awards.

Blink-182 Can’t Stop Touring: Band Details Summer 2024 Shows

Blink-182 will keep the big reunion party going into next year, announcing another massive North American tour for summer 2024.

The run will kick off June 20 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, with dates scheduled through Aug. 15 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. Blink-182 will primarily play arenas during the run, though there will be a few special stadium gigs in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Toronto, and the band’s hometown of San Diego. Pierce the Veil will provide support throughout the tour, while Alexisonfire will join the bill just for the final gig in Toronto. 

Tickets for all shows will go on sale Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. local time. Full info is available on Blink-182’s website .

Along with the reunion tour, Blink-182 released a new album, One More Time , last Friday, Oct. 20. The LP marks the first from Hoppus, DeLonge, and Barker since 2011’s Neighborhoods . After DeLonge left the group in 2015, he was replaced by Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba, who appeared on two albums, 2016’s California and 2019’s Nine . 

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe , Hoppus and DeLonge opened up about their acrimonious 2015 splits with both admitting they weren’t sure they’d ever play together again. That changed after Hoppus was diagnosed with cancer in 2021 — a traumatic but clarifying event not unlike the 2008 plane crash that nearly killed Barker.

Blink-182 Cancels 2 Stops on Their ‘One More Time’ Tour Due to Illness

Blink-182 apologized to fans on Thursday, August 8, delivering the news that they needed to cancel two stops on their “One More Time” tour due to illness.

“Unfortunately, due to illness, we are unable to make it to Kansas City and St. Louis,” the band wrote on social media , referring to their Friday, August 9, and Saturday, August 10, dates, respectively.

“We are so sorry and hope to see you next time,” the band, composed of bassist Mark Hoppus , guitarist Tom DeLonge and drummer Travis Barker , added.

No word was given as to who in the band or crew was sick, nor were any make-up dates announced as of posting.

Fans who purchased their tickets to the canceled shows through Ticketmaster were promised an automatic refund; those who bought through third-party sellers were instructed to reach out directly to those sources.

This isn’t the first time Blink-182 has canceled stops on this tour due to sickness. In April, the group pulled out of three Mexico City shows, citing illness.

“We don’t take canceling lightly. We know people booked flights, hotels, made plans, got babysitters … We had multiple lengthy discussions all morning within the band, with promoters, managers. We tried moving the date, tried every possible solution, but this is the reality. We appreciate your understanding and support,” Hoppus wrote on his Discord account, per Billboard , following the cancellations.

Hoppus, who battled cancer in 2021, further clarified at the time: “For me and my illness, I have seen a doctor here and talked to my doctor back home. I am on multiple medications and have been in bed the past three days except to go to the show, and yesterday I was hoping it was just allergies… Saw docs, was told I had an acute infection in my throat and severe bronchitis. Got on meds immediately with the kind help of the local promoters and have been on treatment.”

Here's what to expect from the rock trio and pop singer on the final night of Lolla.

After four days of live music across eight stages from a star-studded lineup , including Megan Thee Stallion , SZA and The Killers , Lollapalooza 2024 will come to a close on Sunday night with headlining sets from Blink-182 and Melanie Martinez. The rock trio of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker will be the center of attention at the T-Mobile stage, while Martinez will perform at the other end of the summer music festival on the Bud Light stage. Whether you’re there in person or watching from home because you want to avoid the crowds and road closures , here’s everything you need to know.

When are Blink-182 and Melanie Martinez headlining Lollapalooza 2024?

Blink-182 and Martinez will take the stages at Grant Park on Sunday, August 4.

What time will Blink-182 and Melanie Martinez perform?

Blink-182 is scheduled to play at 8:45pm, while Martinez will start her set at 8:30pm. Both should perform until Lollapalooza’s 10pm curfew.

What songs will be in Blink-182 and Melanie Martinez’s setlists?

We won’t know for sure until they wrap up their sets, but we can offer some educated guesses. Blink-182 is currently in the middle of the One More Time Tour in support of its ninth album, One More Time… , but the band also headlined earlier this year at Lollapalooza Brazil , Lollapalooza Chile and Lollapalooza Argentina . During those shows, they played singles off their latest album, like “Edging” and “One More Time,” alongside their greatest hits, including “All the Small Things,” What’s My Age Again?” and “I Miss You.”

Martinez performed at Bonnaroo in June, giving us a hint of what her festival setlist may look like. She broke her set into a three-act narrative, which took audiences through her first three studio albums. It’s safe to say Martinez will likely play crowd favorites like “Soap,” “Pity Party,” “High School Sweethearts” and “Void.”

Yes! Hulu will be live streaming Lollapalooza on two channels all weekend and both acts are scheduled to have their sets broadcasted on Sunday. This will be Blink-182’s second time at Lollapalooza, having previously played here in 2017. The same goes for Martinez, who performed in 2016, albeit in a much earlier time slot.

If anything, Blink-182 put on an even bigger and better show Tuesday than they did when the group’s most popular lineup kicked off their first tour together in more than a decade back at St. Paul’s Xcel Energy Center in May last year .

The sheer demand for tickets last year sent prices spiraling up to Springsteenian heights. That intense interest has remained, as this time around, Blink-182 is playing on an in-the-round stage emblazoned with the band’s logo, allowing for seats to be sold around the entire arena bowl. The crowd full of gleeful Gen Xers and millennials crowded onto the general admission floor and filled seats all the way up to the top of the arena. (Gigantic screens suspended above the stage helped make the show feel a bit more intimate for everyone.)

Last year’s shows focused on the hits, but the guys released a new album “One More Time…” in October and incorporated a fair amount of it into Tuesday’s show, including its Billboard alt-rock chart toppers “Edging,” “More Than You Know” (the final song of the show) “One More Time” as well as “F— Face” with drummer Travis Barker on vocals/shouting.

Still, they found time to visit nearly every phase of their three-decade career, from their debut single “M+M’s” to the brand-new track “Can’t Go Back,” which bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus told the crowd would be officially released “soon.” And as they did last year, they even did “Bored to Death,” a hit from the brief era when Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba had taken over DeLonge’s spot in the lineup.

Before they played “Dance with Me” from the latest album, Hoppus told the audience DeLonge was “super sick” but that he was soldiering through. DeLonge, who chewed gum and took several throat spray breaks, did sound a bit gruff particularly toward the end of the show, but then again, he’s never been known for his singing abilities. It was tough at times to understand his between-song banter — which Hoppus himself noted — so maybe blame that on his illness?

Whatever the case, the guys did keep the room pumping for the tight 95-minute set, even if the reception for the new songs was a bit muted. It was kind of hilarious when they were tearing through “What’s My Age Again” and Hoppus gave a shoutout to “one of the greatest bands on the planet, the Replacements” to a whole lot of blank stares. It was also fun to see Barker’s drum platform ascend 15 feet in the air for “Not Now” and then just hang there for the next few numbers.

Given the obvious adoration from the crowd and the aforementioned new song on the way, it seems Blink-182 is set for continued success. Unless, of course, DeLonge decides to go for a hat trick and quit for the third time.
