I Tried Next Vacay for a Month, Here’s My Next Vacay Review

  • Pinterest 92

Want the low-down on one of the latest flight alert services to hit the market? Here’s my honest Next Vacay review, based on my experience as a free trial member.

When I first heard of Next Vacay, I was excited.

I love flight alert programs and have been a long-time subscriber to Scott’s Cheap Flights, one of the first programs to arrive in the space.

Since signing up for Scott’s list and being introduced to the magic of flights alerts, I’ve also begun following sites like Travel Pirates and Fly4Free.

RELATED POST: 7 FLIGHT ALERT PROGRAMS FOR CANADIANS, AUSTRALIANS AND TRAVELERS BASED OUTSIDE THE U.S.

When Next Vacay came out, I was getting a lot questions from readers.

Are they legitimate?

How are they different from Scott’s Cheap Flights?

Did I have any experience with Next Vacay?

Naturally, I had to find out more. So I decided to sign up to receive Next Vacay alerts for one month.

I spent 30 days on Next Vacay’s email list. I do not recommend them.

Here’s what you need to know before you join.

What is a flight alert?

next vacay travel deals

Flight alerts are a relatively new concept that have taken off in recent years, with businesses popping up left and right to capitalize off the monthly subscription model and your thirst for bargain flights.

The basic concept behind flight alerts is that the company you’re signed up to receive alerts from will scour the web for the best flight deals and let you know as soon as a good one pops up so you can be among the first to take advantage of it before it disappears.

RELATED POST: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT FLIGHT ALERTS

Types of deals included in flight alerts

next vacay travel deals

Flight alerts typically notify you of price drops in three instances:

  • when there’s a sale;
  • when airlines are competing against each other causing fares to drop, and;
  • when there’s an error fare.

The first instance is self explanatory and you don’t need a flight alert program to find out about sales.

In fact, direct email from your favorite airline provider is the quickest way to go if you want to receive notifications of flash sales, like a 48-hour price drop with limited availability.

JetBlue does this every few weeks.

Flight alerts mostly come in handy in keeping you up to date about airlines and brands you may not have been aware of or used before.

The second instance happens when airlines are trying to fill seats or have excessive flights going to one route.

Sometimes, one airline will drop prices and other airlines will follow suit to match.

On a grander scale, this is happening in Hawaii.

Previously, Hawaii was an exclusive market until budget airlines (like Southwest) starting traversing the route.

Now, traditional airline providers have had to cut their own prices to stay competitive.

Finally, the third instance you would be notified about is an error fare.

Error fares are a result of human error in inputting the price into the airline’s database. Perhaps the flight was $1,400 but an American Airlines employee left off the one, listing it for $400 instead.

If you can catch this mistake before the airlines do, you could score a heavily discounted flight.

What does Next Vacay offer?

next vacay travel deals

Next Vacay is a standard flight alert program.

They search for flights leaving out of all airports and if they find a deal that may be of interest to you, they send you an email with a link and instructions on how to book it.

If you don’t open the email until the next day, it’s possible the deal will be gone by then, so to a certain extent the onus is on you to be vigilant and stay up to date with the alerts.

Different flight alert programs may notify you in different ways, like through text messaging or use of a mobile pop-up when you download the app.

I’m attached to my emails as it is, so I like email alerts just fine.

These are the sort of alerts that Next Vacay sends.

How is Next Vacay different from competitors?

next vacay travel deals

Next Vacay differentiates itself by being more selective about the deals they send out.

Instead of kitchen sinking you with all the deals out there, they select the ones they think apply to you based on your departure airport and stated preferences.

I found this to be problematic as my airport of choice was Rochester in Upstate NY, which rarely gets deals, so most of the deals I got from Next Vacay were departing from NYC.

The problem is that NYC is not even the next closest airport — Buffalo, NY or even crossing the border to Canada would take me half the time.

RELATED POST: HOW TO FIND CHEAP FLIGHTS TO EUROPE

Moreover, the deals I did get from Rochester weren’t exactly a bargain.

I understand it’s a much more remote airport, but I wouldn’t consider a $900 roundtrip ticket to Europe a “deal.”

They did at one point alert me of a deal I didn’t otherwise get and to that end, it’s always good to be part of as many programs as possible when you’re looking for a specific flight.

There’s no guarantee that any one program is going to catch them all, Pokemon style, so you’re better off as a consumer by casting a wide net.

How much does Next Vacay cost?

next vacay travel deals

Next Vacay costs $25 per year, making it one of the more affordable subscription models out there. Beware though — you get what you pay for.

There’s also a 30-day free trial available before you’re charged (theoretically).

How do you cancel your Next Vacay subscription?

next vacay travel deals

If you cancel before the end of the free trial period you won’t be charged for the year.

You’re supposed to be able to cancel just by replying to any email or alert you received, but I had problems with this as well.

Despite multiple attempts to contact someone on the Next Vacay team, it wasn’t until my card didn’t go through for the payment and someone contacted me seeking new billing information that I was able to cancel my subscription.

My first attempt was the typical breakup email — hey Next Vacay, it’s not you it’s me! I’m not really in the right place right now to commit to an ongoing relationship. No hard feelings? Let me know!

The second email got more real — hey Next Vacay, it’s me Jen. You there??

Finally, I decided to be proactive and cancel my credit card before they could charge it.

And wouldn’t you know  when I did this, their customer service team was resurrected! Back from the dead and asking — Hey Jen, where’s our money?

I promptly replied, requesting to cancel my account for the third time . This time it stuck. Others have not been so lucky. In my experience, cancelling was unnecessarily difficult.

Is Next Vacay worth it?

Next Vacay review

Next Vacay will send you flight alerts. They didn’t invent the wheel but they did manage to make an imitation that will get you from point A to point B.

I found they didn’t have the best/quickest turnaround on deals, or many deals from smaller airports.

If flight alerts are something that interest you, note that you don’t have to pay anything at all to get started. Take a breather before you hand over that credit card number.

You can sign up for free trials and follow all of these programs on social media — trust me, they’re itching to share the best deals with their audience and be the first ones to break the news on a big price drop.

You can also get free alerts anytime from Airfare Watchdog .

The Verdict

next vacay travel deals

With any flight alert program you choose, the goal is to be notified in a timely manner so that you’re best positioned to take advantage of a great deal.

Personally, my preferred program is not Next Vacay . Who would I go with? You got options, babe!

There are so many flight alerts on the market nowadays that I put together a list of 19 flight alert programs , offering the same service. My personal favorite and the program I’ve been using for the longest time is Scott’s Cheap Flights .

In contrast to Next Vacay, Scott’s Cheap Flights has no expiration on their free trial program and they don’t require a credit card to get started.

My verdict? Stay away from Next Vacay and put your money somewhere worthwhile, or save your money altogether and get free alerts!

To help, I’ve compiled a list of 17 apps and websites that offer flight alert services, both paid and unpaid. Download it for free below and find the one that best suits your needs.

Till next time, safe travels!

Note: I regularly review flight alert programs. Have one you want to know more about? Send me a message and I’ll scope it out to see if it’s legit. I would like to STOP my membership with NextVacay? Thank you, sds

Sunday 5th of September 2021

This was a complete waste of my time and money. I wanted to go to my uncle's funeral who had recently passed away but because I didn't have money I couldn't travel to Puerto Rico to visit the family and I ended up missing the entire funeral.

When I found out about this service I signed up desperately thinking that they would be able to get me a cheap flight to Puerto Rico. But I was sadly mistaken when I found out that this is just one of those alert services that notifies you when there's cheap flights in the area.

I got confused and thought that this was something similar to Expedia where you can search for a specific place, type in a date and they show you the cheapest flights around but that was not the case.

Now to cancel is a headache and a nightmare and they won't cancel me and I've sent numerous emails and I have heard nothing back from them I'm going to have to put a block on them from my card company so that they can't charge me because this is crazy.

I really wish that I had known this before I signed up for their service in the first place.

Maybe if they would give us the option to search for a specific destination with specific dates the same way you would with Expedia or through a regular Airline then I might be able to actually use this service. But I'm not interested in alerts telling me what the cheapest flights are for specific destinations in the area. Every time I go on vacation I select the destination and the dates I don't like people selecting them for me and telling me here's the cheapest we can do that doesn't work with me.

I clicked a link from a Facebook ad and had to put my credit card information in for the “free trial period”. I canceled mainly because I live in a city where there were literally no deals...and the closest major airport that had deals was a 4 hr drive away. Well flash forward and for some reason my credit card with its new enhanced features showed a recurring charge of $25 by Next Vacay. Note that after canceling, I never got any premium deals, no email was a valid login on the site but still for almost 1 year I have been charged. This is not only a ripoff but a scam. I am happy for the people who saved money with it. At this time I am now just trying to get this charge off my credit card!

I have a membership for a year and I felt like it was a waste of money they just recently took another $25 for the membership I had a very hard time getting in touch with someone through email at customer service about a refund please… Don’t waste your money with patience and time dedicated you can find you affordable vacation. I’m going to contact my bank so they can cancel my card so they won’t charge my card again

I agree - stay away from Next Vacay. I had a membership for a year and did not ever find any of the flight deals they sent me to be of use. Then I noticed they had charged my credit card for another year of membership without notifying me. I contacted them to cancel the membership and get a refund on that charge, and they refused to give a refund. The only thing they would do is to cancel the auto-renewal so it will hopefully not happen next year and I'll be done with them!

Next Vacay Review: You Need Next Vacay in Your Life

By: Author Christine Wheeler

Posted on Published: November 18, 2018  - Last updated: July 4, 2021

Next Vacay has saved us hundreds of dollars in flights in the last two years and allowed us to travel more than ever. If you haven’t signed up for Next Vacay, you are missing out on flight deals from your home to pretty much anywhere in the world.

This Next Vacay review walks you through how Next Vacay works as well as the deals we have found and booked on Next Vacay. It is simple and easy to use. All you need to do is check your email and then book the flight like you normally would!

I first found out about Next Vacay through a blog post I saw on an Instagram story. I read the post and thought for sure it was too good to be true. After reading a few Next Vacay reviews, we decided to give it a try since it was only $25 for a year with a money-back guarantee. Now it is one of our favorite ways to save money on travel .

*** Some of the links in this post may be affiliate links. Purchasing through these links earns us a commission at no extra charge to you. This is NOT a sponsored post but a real review of our experiences with Next Vacay. We were not asked to write this post and wrote it because we love Next Vacay so much.

HOW NEXT VACAY WORKS

When you sign up for Next Vacay , you are signing up to receive email alerts about cheap flights from your home to the world. There is a free trial period right now, but it is only $25 a year after that. We easily made back that money in the savings on our first flight.

During registration, you enter your closest airport. Next Vacay sends you emails for flights from that airport and any other airport within about 4 hours.

For us, we live in Orlando and registered in Orlando. We receive flight deals from Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Sometimes it is worth the drive to save a few hundred dollars a ticket. In fact, we saved $600 on one flight by driving 3 hours each way to Ft. Lauderdale.

We flew to London for Christmas for $450 round trip with Next Vacay. This meant we got to enjoy the Christmas lights on Oxford Street.

With flights to London for $450 round trip from Florida, we got to go check out London at Christmas

Next Vacay searches Google Flights for flight deals. When they find a good deal, they send you an email alert. The email alert lets you know the destination, the current lowest price, and the range of dates the price is available for right now.

You typically have 24 – 48 hours to book that deal. However, Next Vacay does not control the flight prices, so they cannot always tell when a price will jump. Because of this, they recommend buying within a day or two of getting the email. We have waited a few weeks and been able to get the same deal, but do not count on it.

The flight deals are for a range of times, usually spanning a few months. It helps to have flexible dates when booking flights as the deal is not available every day of that time period. You can often find that deal for multiple sets of days throughout the time period though.

Once you get an email with a deal you like, click on the link in the email. That takes you directly to Google Flights. Many times it automatically pulls up one of the cheapest options for you.

From there, you can choose the dates you wanted to see if it works for your dates. Google Flights will also show you how much you can save by leaving or returning on nearby dates. If your dates are flexible, you are likely to be able to find a great deal for your flights.

PROS & CONS OF USING NEXT VACAY

Next Vacay has been great for us. We pay $25 and get a year of great flight deals. We tend to book flights somewhat last minute, but we still find great deals just a month or so before trips with Next Vacay.

Next Vacay is not limited to flights within the US. I get emails for flight deals to Europe, South America, Asia, Australia, and Africa. There are also flight deals within the USA which makes it great for us to travel close to home too.

If you do not have a home base and are more of a full-time traveler, Next Vacay may not be as useful to you. Because you need to put in a set airport, it only sends you deals from that airport or nearby airports. If you are hardly ever home to use that airport, it is probably not a great fit.

If, however, you have a couple of home bases, it may still be worth it. You pay more as you pay $25 for each airport, but it might still be worth it. It definitely depends on your situation though.

Our travel tends to be flexible. We usually have a wide range of dates we can travel. Even teaching full-time, I could often move a trip a day or two if needed to save money. The more flexible your travel plans, the better Next Vacay does at finding you deals.

If your destination and dates are flexible, you will definitely be able to find great deals. If your destination is set and your dates are flexible, you can still find great deals. Sometimes it might be worth it to fly to a nearby airport to save money depending on how much you save.

If there are no deals to your specific destination, sometimes flying to a nearby large hub helps you find a better rate. For example, we have flown to London to get to another stop because the flight deals for London made it so much cheaper. Then we booked a second flight from London to Belgium.

Next Vacay is a little harder to use if you have set dates and a set destination. It worked out for us when I had to be in Las Vegas for certain dates. Other times it has not worked out. No deals came in for the place we needed and the specific dates we needed, even if we moved it a day or two.

Because flight prices change quickly, Next Vacay also works best if you are able to book pretty quickly. This can be difficult if you have to ask for days off at work and don’t hear back right away. Sometimes the deals last a few weeks or even a month though, so it still might work out for you.

A REVIEW OF OUR NEXT VACAY FLIGHT DEALS

In November of 2017 we took our first trip booked through Next Vacay. I ran the Rock n’ Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon, and we needed a flight from Orlando to Las Vegas. Flights ran around $350 at the time. We decided to wait and see.

Because we had set dates we needed to be in Las Vegas, we knew we may not get a flight deal from Next Vacay.  When a deal for $100 round trip flights from Fort Lauderdale arrived in my email, we booked it. Fort Lauderdale is about 3 hours from home, but we saved about $250 per person on the flight.

Enjoying the view of the Las Vegas Strip at sunset with our $100 round trip flight to Las Vegas thanks to Next Vacay.

Las Vegas Strip at sunset thanks to our $100 round trip flights

Later in the year, we booked our first international flight through Next Vacay. My brother-in-law and his family lived in Belgium for two years, and we knew we wanted to visit them.

We hoped to be able to go at Christmas, but all the flights we saw to anywhere in Europe started at about $800 a person. An email came in for a $450 flight to London, and we decided to book it.  We flew Norwegian Air and booked through the Norwegian version of the site, saving another $40 a ticket.

While in Europe on this trip, we also traveled to Scotland, and Belgium. We even spent New Year’s Eve in Paris ! Thanks to the cheap flight to London and cheap transportation within Europe, we managed to visit family and do some sightseeing.

Spending New Year's Eve in Paris at the Arc de Triomphe thanks to our cheap flights to London.

New Year’s Eve in Paris thanks to our cheap flight to London

In May of 2018, we booked a third flight, this time to Los Angeles to visit my cousin and her husband and my husband’s aunt and cousin. We hadn’t planned on taking this trip, but we found a flight for $175 and couldn’t resist. Flights to LA are usually anywhere from $300 – $400 round trip.

We used them again to go to Los Angeles for the about same price in March of 2019. We again visited family and took a road trip to Death Valley National Park , Joshua Tree National Park , and San Francisco.

Thanks to a cheap flight to Los Angeles, we checked out some neat tide pools in Laguna Beach.

We also took a sponsored trip to Europe with Next Vacay in November of 2018. This let us spend Thanksgiving with my husband’s brother and his family in Barcelona . We wanted to visit them one more time before they came home, so we used my Thanksgiving Break at school to go back to Europe.

Our flights were $550 round trip into Barcelona from Florida. We also booked a cheap flight to visit Portugal once we bought the tickets for Barcelona. Flying directly to Portugal from Florida usually costs more, so using Barcelona as a hub saved us money on Portugal too.

Thanks to a cheap flight to Barcelona, we got to enjoy sunset at Bunkers del Carmel in Barcelona

EXAMPLES OF FLIGHT DEALS ON NEXT VACAY

To show the variety of flight deals available on Next Vacay, I want you to see some of the deals I have received. I typically receive anywhere from 5 – 10 emails a week with flight deals. Here are just a few of the deals from this year:

  • Miami to Bogota, Colombia, on a nonstop flight in Business Class for $700 from late November to May
  • Miami to London for $525 from early January to late August
  • Fort Lauderdale to Bridgetown (Barbados) on a nonstop flight for $275 from early January to mid-March
  • Tampa to Quito for $425 from late November to early June
  • Orlando to Panama City on a nonstop flight for $200 from mid-March to late May
  • Fort Lauderdale to Vancouver for $350 from late November to late January
  • Tampa to Dublin for $350 from early January to late March
  • Orlando to Paris for $400 from mid-January to early May
  • Orlando to Brussels for $500 from mid-January to mid March
  • Miami to Milan on a nonstop flight for $400 from late November to early April
  • Orlando to Beijing for $475 from early November to late April
  • Fort Lauderdale to Shanghai for $575 from late October to late April

I have also seen deals to Tokyo for $600, to Toronto for $275, to Chicago for $100. Sometimes the deal is actually a little better than advertised. For example, when I looked into the Orlando to Paris for $400 deal, I found flights in those date ranges for as little as $376.

Even if there isn’t a city you want to visit, you can use these deals to still get where you wanted to go for less. For example, use any of these deals to get to Europe and then fly local European airlines or trains to get to where you wanted to go ( see the best travel apps to use here ).

Want to go to Australia? Book the deal to Beijing and catch a cheap flight to Sydney to save hundreds on the cost of booking straight into Australia. The deal I checked out on this saved us over $600 a person compared to normal flights from Florida to Australia. We didn’t take the trip, but we might next time!

Thanks to a cheap flight to Los Angeles, we checked out some neat tide pools in Laguna Beach at sunset.

I will have to check this out, sounds like a great tool! I always love saving money-and love the idea of just going when the price is right! Adds a little more adventure!

Thank you! We really enjoy it, and it has allowed us to travel to places we didn't think we would be able to because of high flight prices.

Just love this! I usually plan my trips months ahead based on the flight prices I would find but this is so fun to travel more spontaneously! Definitely will check New Vacay for next year :)

Thank you! Next Vacay has helped us travel to places that we previously thought might be too expensive because of the usual flight prices. Plus, it's kind of fun to travel based on where you find the best deal. Hope you find some great travel deals for 2020!

The idea behind Next Vacay is genius and in my 3 year travel blogging and keeping up to date on travel websites and trends, I haven’t seen this pop up as an option. I really wish I was a tech person and could come up with software to do things like this. I am going to share this Next Vacay review and also how I have gotten deals using it.

next vacay review

Next Vacay Review.. spoiler alert, it’s amazing

Before I share about what Next Vacay does, I want to say who would love it:

  • Frequent travelers who cannot seem to figure out frequent flier miles and ever get a discount
  • Those who want travel hacking prices but can’t be bothered trying and don’t want to open credit cards for points and all of that struggle.
  • People who get too excited about trips and just book them without researching, because they don’t have time for that!
  • People who can travel with a couple of months notice

These are all VERY me and I can’t be alone. This is why I was so stoked about Next Vacay , so without further ado, I’ll share with you what it is and the sweet couple behind it!

Naveen and his wife, Shaylee, who live in Atlanta, made this software (because Naveen does fun things like that in his spare time!) which they used to search countless airfare sites to find cheap flights. They had plugged in the airports closest to them and limited the places that they would go to only useful, cool destinations, not just random places, as well as limits on only the best deals and money off. They would get alerts from their system saying only the craziest deals and started traveling a lot more making all their friends jealous.

meme travel vacay

They flew to India roundtrip for $300 each and Barcelona roundtrip for $600 each. They started helping their friends and eventually decided to share this with the world. Naveen took his father-in-law to Italy and got him a business class seat for $1500 roundtrip! That’s insane.

next vacay review

Their friends started getting the same flight deals. All of the following mentioned are roundtrip prices: wandering Paris for $425, chasing kangaroos in Australia for $580, ice-climbing in Reykjavik Iceland for $278, exploring downtown San Jose $273, and the watching the world’s best sunset at the stunning Greek island Santorini $393.

meme

“Every single deal is reviewed and assembled by hand by us. We know you have bosses and family to talk to before booking. This is why we do not send last-minute deals. We put ourselves in the shoes of someone who has to request paid time off and coordinate with a partner who also likely has to do the same. The deals we send include links to real ticket itineraries for desirable weekends like Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.” -Naveen

How  Next Vacay Works:

  • You put in your airport nearest to you (only US, Canada, Europe, & Australia).
  • Sign up for the month free trial.
  • You get emails that only relate to your nearby airports and cheap prices! The prices they said/mention on their site are round-trip.
  • They give you instructions to book directly with the airline. I love this part as booking direct saves your ass if a flight is delayed or canceled. It just simplifies things.
  • If you like it so far, you pay the $25 annual fee… which is insanely low.
  • Don’t find a deal you like in 6 months? You get your money back!

Les Haines

Why is this so crazy?

You have to do NO work! People spend so much time travel hacking to save points to get flights that are $300 to India, but this way you just wait and until the mail comes saying  “guess what, a flight to ___ is only __ on these dates!”.  You don’t have to sign up to a bunch of newsletters that send out deals that don’t relate to you to obscure places.

“No other website monitors every single airport for deals. Other sites expect you to find your own way to a big city to take advantage of a handful of deals. We’ve found a way to get amazing deals for members in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Billings, MT so even folks in smaller cities are taken care of.” “I can send deals from Atlanta to Tulsa or from Cleveland to Baltimore but the reality is… that doesn’t make most people excited. That’s why I send deals like to Atlanta to India for $718, NYC to Iceland for <$500 and so on.”

If you pay someone to help you travel hack, you will pay more.

If you want these prices from collecting points, it will take ages.

If you search these out yourselves, and are anything like me, you’ll never find these deals.

The craziest bit of all.. If you don’t find a deal you like in 6 months, you can ask for your money back, no questions asked.

Deals For Me | Next Vacay Review

I have been traveling internationally since I was 19 or 20 and I have STILL never figured out travel hacking, never gotten a credit card to get points, and although I’ve signed up for a million discount airline memberships, I have never taken advantage of one because I can’t figure out how they work.

If I am having issues, and feeling unmotivated, then maybe you are too. Next Vacay is the best solution I’ve seen yet.

I tried it out myself after setting up an account for Columbus, Ohio thinking I could find flights for my parents to India. The first week, I got an email from Naveen.

next vacay review

When my parents came to India in “peak season” two years ago, it was nearly $2,000 for each of their flights. I usually pay $1,200 and tend to get the best deals on United. I have gotten it as cheap as $900 before “off-season”.

Naveen’s system found a United flight on Thanksgiving (high holiday prices usually) for $900 there and back. I took my first of many flights to India almost 4 years ago and I haven’t gotten this great of deals around a holiday. In fact, we just booked Ben’s flight back through United for this summer (off season) as we had a voucher (because they lost our luggage in the past), and the flight was $1200. No bueno!

They send flight deals to only interesting places and only when it’s a great deal. Another one that came and I loved was this: Hong Kong for $900. You can see how personalized the emails are as well. They also send you over the itinerary and explain how to book through Google Flights.

next vacay review

What’s next for Next Vacay?

They are a new company and small for now, with him and his wife being the team behind the website! They hope to grow and hire people in Asia to offer deals there as well. I love working with smaller companies because you get a seriously customized service. They are going to soon start offering more personalized options which make it even better for you to get to your dream destination.

“One of the most requested features is to allow our members to pick just one top spot in the world they want to go to next. We’ll then text members when that deal is on sale so you can take immediate action. For example, if you live in Columbus, Ohio and it’s been a your dream to go to Bali, you’ll tell us to watch out for Bali deals for you. We’ll then tell you that we found a $371 deal from SF to Bali and your flight from Columbus to SF is $400 making the total cost to go to Bali $771 from Columbus which is still at least a $1000 per person savings.

You can sign up on their website and follow them on Instagram , Facebook , and Twitter . As a bonus for Hippie in Heels readers, they are offering the business class deal alerts for 3 months. Just use a link from this blog post which will let him know you came from the blog.

Tip: If you are planning a trip abroad do not forget two very important things: travel insurance and visa requirements. I choose to use World Nomads when I go abroad (it’s recommended by Lonely Planet). I also check on ivisa to see if I need a visa for the place I’m going!

I was compensated for my time in writing this next vacay review, but as always opinions are only my own! I am so glad I can now have someone else looking out for cheap flights for my parents – if one comes up to Europe at Christmas we are talking about meeting there!

This is a great article! I had never heard of this company. Now, I’m really curious to use it and see for myself. I normally use Travelocity or go directly through the airlines, but it does not hurt to try someone new. Especially if a fellow travel blogger has already reviewed and tested them. The company must be good, as your review about them is good.

Thanks for sharing your post!

Best, Ruthie

' src=

Hey Ruthie,

I hope that you enjoy them! They really are great – and if your airport doesn’t have a lot of great deals they will give you your money back no questions asked. Totally worth checking out :)

' src=

So this is legitimate? I’ve seen them on the newsfeed but no review of them. I would really like to try them out.

Yep, been using them for a couple of years and so do my friends and family!

' src=

Great review! I’ve never heard of the website but now I have to do my research. I’m definitely one of those people that doesn’t understand their frequent flyer miles. Is there also deals for domestic travel(within the U.S.)?

Hi Natasha – yes they do domestic travel as well :) and frequent flier miles… one of the many things on my list of “stuff to figure out”

' src=

Thanks for the info! I will have to tell my mom to sign up so she can hopefully grab a cheap flight to India.

Good idea, that’s what I’m thinking too.

' src=

Omigosh, I love your blog! Can’t wait to sit down and really explore it :)

Thanks Michelle & welcome!

' src=

Now, this is a pretty cool concept. I’d definitely try it out!

Yes it’s definitely worth trying – there’s really no downside since it’s only $25 a year and if you don’t find a good deal you can cancel and get your money back!

' src=

Rachel how do we sign up and does this only work for the one destination or as many destinations as we like?

Hi Isis, it’s not the destination you set, it’s your departure airport. Then, you get emails of cheap flight from where you live.

' src=

I live in the UK and can fly out of most airports here. If I enter my local airport I could miss out on deals from other nearby airports.

I can save £400 by travelling from London Heathrow rather than Manchester or Birmingham to Bangkok for instance. But sometimes it is cheaper to fly from from these, or indeed a different London airport.

I need it to search all of UK.

Also I may choose to go to a completely different destination based on the cost.

I was originally going to Malaysia, but changed to Thailand because the price was £200 lower.

So without the ability to broaden the departure and destination points, it would not work for me.

' src=

Can you set more than one departure airport?

' src=

The price is so low….and if you don’t use it, you get your $25 back. That’s a no-lose scenario. What I would want to know most is domestic flights, as my kids live 2 provinces, and for the right price, dropping everything for the weekend would be awesome! Thanks for the info!

' src=

Really love the idea – really dislike the fact that as soon as I enter my email address, the first thing that pops up is a tiny box just asking for card details! :( Very impersonal and a little disappointing – the website is difficult to navigate. I need to have an idea of the deals I’m going to receive before I give my credit card details out willy-nilly! Fabulous idea though and something I will definitely sign up to when I am feeling a little less cheap ;) Great review also – feel free to check out my site. Happy travels!

Thanks for your honest feedback! This is their first version of the site (it’s about two months old) so maybe after they start growing they will do a re-design. I can pass this along to them! I am going to be trying it out this year and will share on social media some of the deals I find, so you can see the stuff they offer :D

' src=

Hi Rachel, I’d love an update to your reply to this comment by Joanne, 2 years ago. Did they make any changes to improve customer relations and trust? Did you book more flights with them since? I’d love to hear some more, before I give it a try. Thanks, Sandra

PS, can you also send me a link to sign up from your blog, so I can get the extra benefit you mentioned in your blog? ;)

I saw Joanne’s comment which was that she didn’t want to put her credit card details – that is kind of the point of this though and doesn’t mean they are bad customer relations or trust issues. You have to put them in as it’s a paid-for service of $25 a year after the first month. You can cancel in the first month if you don’t like it and you won’t be charged. The link is in this article if you want to sign up, just click above. And yes, two years later I am still using them :)

' src=

Or you can work for an airline and use their travel benefits to fly anywhere while being able to NonRev on other airlines. Flew to London NonRev for $290 round trip for both my spouse and I. Now that’s a deal!!!

I always thought working for an airline would be a great job!

' src=

In that same camp.. have flown the world for free or just some taxes… other than being standby, it’s an incredible perk!

' src=

I am definitely in the travel hacking camp and admit it is difficult at the outset but if you follow some of the step by step guides (for instance I and some other bloggers have been running a 90 day challenge for beginners) it soon becomes the norm. In the USA taxes can be less than $10 so considerably less than hundreds (although sadly not that cheap in the UK). Saying that I still like the sound of this if it works so I’m going to check it out

' src=

i just signed up! yay! thanks!

awesome, hope you get some great deals!

' src=

This came up on my news feed and I am so glad I clicked! Just signed up on nextvacay’s site and can’t wait to get the welcome email!

Hi Amanda. I hope you get some good deals!

' src=

It takes so much work to find great flight deals and manage points, etc. This resource looks like a godsend! I will be signing up. Thanks for the thorough review, it’s great to know that something like this exists!

Awesome! Hope you get a great deal somewhere cool!

' src=

That looks great! We have a little airport and it’s hard to find deals from our island. We’ll have to try it out!

' src=

Very good to know . As an older 45 years traveling I always look for deals and places I just want to return to. I am at over 100 countries … Many many dozens of times also. I love the hippie in heels name….

Awesome! I hope to make it to so many countries too :)

' src=

Love the article and the name ✈️ My son and I are planning to go to Tokyo for a nephew’s wedding. Can you help us get some great deals including accommodations????

' src=

Hi Rachel! Thanks for the post. I travel to India when I can, love it there. Miss Goa terribly. I’m definitely checking out this site. Would love to finally get some better deals

Hi Stevie, awesome, I hope you get some good deals. I recently got one to India way cheaper than normal!

' src=

This looks great. My question is if I have a place in mind for next summer, cam I sign up and get sent good flight deals? Trying to take the WHOLE family to Maui between July and august…

' src=

Hi Rachel! I want to sign up but i’m afraid that this site sounds too good to be true. I need to be convinced! Thanks a lot!

Hi PJ, I feel ya! But it’s a free trial so you can cancel if in 30 days you don’t like the deals you get then you don’t get charged any money. :)

' src=

Love it! This just inspired me to want to travel again. So many places to go but never the time and money! Thanks!

' src=

WIsh I found your blog before I booked my trip to India! Would have loved to put Goa on my list of places to go. Oh well next time.

Yes there will always be a next time!

' src=

Sounds fantastic. Would it work for us Down Under?

' src=

Hi Rachel! I’ve NEVER heard of such an awesome thing! I am excited to try it. I love to travel but expense is often an obstacle. Cannot wait to see what this brings!

Hope you get some great deals, Kate.

' src=

I joined in November and have yet to receive the first email. Contacted the company and he was going to give me an extra year. He never responded to my last email. Sorry, but this one is too good to be true. Goodbye $25!

Hi, Lynn. Sorry to hear that. I get deals out of Columbus Ohio at least 2x a week. It might depend on what airport you are near.

' src=

Do you fly out of Columbus? I would love to get a deal out of here:)

Columbus and Cleveland!

' src=

I live in Montana and my closest airport isn’t listed – am I out of luck?

Hi Shannon,

Not sure :( You should email [email protected] !

' src=

I managed to snag that $580 RT ATL to Sydney,AU last year. Now I’m spoiled!

What a deal! That’s a lucky booking :)

' src=

I’ve felt the wanderlust especially hard lately (maybe it’s my soul-crushing corporate law job), so I signed up. I’m so excited to see where I’ll go first!

' src=

Hey, Thanks for this. My mother hasn’t traveled internationally & has a dream to go to Germany to discover her ancestry. I’ll be researching & probably signing her up for this.

Aw that’s so great!! I hope that she gets to go to Germany!

' src=

Thank you! I just signed up because I have a few trips I want to go on this year. I’m interested in seeing how it works more with specific location destinations. Great, thorough article!

' src=

Is there any ability to enter more than one departure airport? I live within a 90 minute drive of 3 different airport (2 international) and it would be nice to know about different options.

You enter your nearest and they add the 3 surrounding ones automatically

' src=

What if you live bear a Border will it look for both Canada and USA airports near you? Ie-if you live in Niagara Falls Canada what airports does it pick up?

' src=

Great article. Thanks forbtaking the time to write. Can I select dates I am looking to travel?

' src=

Hey Rachel! Firstly I just stumbled across your blog and I love it! I am from India itself and I am planning to travel abroad on my own this june! Is Next Vacay possible for indians to book!

' src=

Great article and I’m excited to try. I really hate looking for flights, I’m a total buy the first thing I see and then don’t save any money. Thanks for such a great idea.

' src=

Your endorsement was enough to make me sign up…I have been pounding my head trying to figure out ways to save on airfare so that I can go more places with my family and you may have just provided me answer. Clear and concise blog post…thanks so much :)

I’m happy to help! I hope you get some great deals from this.

' src=

You’re article is somewhat misleading. You suggest that after signing up, a person can select their desired destinations, then receive deals that come up to those destinations. That is not a feature this site offers. Once you sign up, you put in your home airport, and receive an email for each and every deal out of that and nearby airports. In less than 24 hours I’ve received three emails with deals from three different airports– two quite a ways away– to three different cities, none or which I would have selected as places I want to go.

Actually, I say specifically that that is something they are working on. I have a whole section on “what’s next for Next Vacay” and interviewed them and they say that letting the customer choose a place is a next thing they want to do. I say they send deals only to interesting places that make sense for people time-wise, like over a holiday – I don’t say you get to pick the place yourself.

' src=

I’m skeptical of airlines I’ve never heard of… But I do appreciate your review and will take another look. Thank you.

' src=

Awesome article. After travel arrangements are made, is there a way to find out lodging, car rental etc?

not through nextvacay, but on my blog I have tips for over 60 countries!

' src=

how is this different that vayama , skyscanner or skiplagged? I have found great deals from these databases very often .

Those are flight search engines. This is an email that sends you deals from your airport. It’s like apples and oranges in that sense – you would use skyscanner etc if you had a flight you need to book from A to B. Next Vacay sends you deals from A to B when they are super low, even if it’s not something you are looking for, in the case you want to take a trip.

' src=

Your original post had comments from a year ago, so I am guessing it is about a year old. Just had this pop up on my feed today. So, a year later, what is your review of nextvacay having been signed up for a year? Get any amazing deals? Curious to hear a review, am not finding many reviews online..thanks!

Yes, I get crazy deals sent – but as I’m based in India I can’t use them until I’m in the USA as I have my Columbus (home) airport set. Still waiting for outgoing flights from India to be added – but for people based where they operate (countries listed in post) it’s fantastic.

' src=

I adore traveling, signed up for this last year and never received a single email. Maybe there were just no cheap flights from Mobile AL?

Hey Robin – that is surprising. I would imagine there must have been an error. Did you reach out to them to ask? I get up to 3 a day from them for Columbus, Ohio.

' src=

Are the prices for only the member? If my husband travels with me does he have to have his own membership?

' src=

Hi Shay! We know that our members travel with their travel partners, friends and family. Only one person has to have a membership account. You are welcome to buy tickets for your travel companions.

' src=

You just made this traveling nurse super happy! Will take a look, as I’m always looking for the next foreign adventure! Also-read your bio blurp–wouldn’t mind leaving nursing and doing something more creative (a little or a lot jealous).

Gypsy Nurse, Jill

I hope you get a great deal! Have you done travel nursing? I did that before I left the USA and it’s amazing.

' src=

So fun!!! I look forward to using this. Thanks for being the awesome you that you are

' src=

I live in Australia, if I sign inn will I get deals for flight from here?

Yes, they should ask you your airport closest to you

' src=

Thanks for the tip, never heard of this and I am totally gonna give it a try. I’m constantly hunting for deals for my family. Great write up!

' src=

This just popped up on my feed today and I am really interested in signing up for it! I know in your post you mention they don’t currently service Asian airports for home locations, but they were trying to work with some Asian partners so they could. Do you knlw if this has been added yet? My husband and I are moving to Japan early next year and plan to do a lot of traveling while we are there!

I think AUS is added, but not anywhere else in Asia. I think they said India is next! So, not sure after that! You can email their support and they’ll know :)

' src=

I’m looking to go to Thailand in 2019 with family and ticket prices are so expensive everywhere they want 2,000 per person right now

Yep, it can be hard to find a deal. I hope that Next Vacay finds you one so you don’t have to stress.

' src=

Hi Rachel, I just found your blog today and it totally amazed me. The honest posts, great reviews and timely response are few things that you find nowadays in the growing internet. I am glad I found your blog and nextvacay through your blog. I am gonna try this for my next travel and see it stands out best out of other travel sites. Thank you.

So glad that you found my blog! Next Vacay has great deals. I have more tips on my site for other things about travel you can check out too :)

' src=

Found ad in Instagram. Let’s see if comments really work

' src=

Tripadvisor has a feature similar to this and it lets you choose your favourite destination, and then they will send you deal alerts on your email every week. I honestly rather do my own research in skyscanner, tripadvisor or google flights, those 3 flight search engines have given me the best deals available on the days I want to travel, with way better deals a travel agent can give me!

' src=

HiH, you were my go to blog when I moved to India now this beautiful nugget landed on my Facebook page. Thank you for all your time and tips and thank big data for bringing me back to you. This company is getting my money. All the best, SS

Hey Samantha, so so so happy the blog helped you when you came to India! Nexy Vacay is worth every penny and more – but the best thing is if you are near an obscure airport and don’t get amazing deals, you can get your money back :)

' src=

I’m a little confused about the business class upgrade deal… are there subscription levels and/or more than one subscription option? Your blog only mentions the $25 annual fee, but based on the offer, it sounds like that subscription only provides alerts for economy class flights and that there are at least two subscription options. What is the annual price after 3 month offer if one wishes to continue getting business class alerts? And with this upgrade, would one receive business and economy class offers, or just business class? Or is there just the one subscription option, and this offer is good for a 3 month trial versus a one month?

' src=

Lorilyn did you get an answer to your business class upgrade question? If it is more expensive I’m curious to know if there is the same money back guarantee.

' src=

I really dislike that as soon as you join you ask for my credit card #! If you gomna offer a 30 days free trial, you should as for CC# until the end of the 30 days trial. Sorry, just my honest opinion! I might join if you take this out on day…

I meant you should NOT ask for a CC#!

J.C. If you’ve done many free trials, you’d know that it’s how every single site does them and you have to cancel before the next month – I’ve never ever seen one where you don’t give your CC first from Adobe to all my blogging tools to even Hulu or Netflix.

' src=

Anybody from Vancouver Canada signed up and got a deal ?

' src=

Just signed up! My daughter is moving to England in a couple of months and I’ll definitely want to visit her from time to time.

' src=

Tried signing up via your link to website. Enter email and home airport. When I hit the only available link (I’d like to learn more about this) I’m taken to Next Vacay site where the offer is one month free.

Hi Maggie – it does take you to their page to sign up. What is your question? Thanks.

' src=

Motivating… Can get My Nomad bug back!

' src=

Hi Rachel, thanks for sharing this beautiful information. I cant wait to sign up and start receiving deals. Anw, your idea about expanding through Asia is sick! It is going to be great and i hope one day you could expand it to Indonesia to, where i believe a lot of indonesians would be thankful for your awesome ideas. Once again thank you and best of luck! Cheers

I just got back from Indonesia for the third time two days ago :) Bandung, Bali, Batam… I love Indonesia. It will be awesome once they expand to more places like where I’m based in India.

' src=

So I kind of feel like I signed up and a chat came up. I asked a question and it went away. Would I usually be redirected to a site to sign up pay etc?

' src=

Hi. Is this strictly for international or are US domestic deals also included?thank!

' src=

I signed up and would like add other airports. How do I do that?

' src=

Hi – do you offer tips on how to score deals for business class seats?

' src=

Do we get to choose the destinations we are interested in going to or is this more of a general around the world deals?

' src=

Hey! This sounds really cool. I just stumbled upon Next Vacay, but I’m wondering how legit it is? It sounds too good to be true?

' src=

I wonder if they can find the best rate for a 36,000 mile round-the-world ticket. With the exchange rate its much cheaper to buy in Goa than SF

' src=

I am so sad that this is not an option for those who live in South East Asia … sounds really cool tho !

' src=

I am not sure how all this works. Airlines do no discount off their reglar price or through a airline consolidator. They do not give one web site or another special pricing, they are all the same. So how can I save any money. Cruise lines do not discount anymore, and there are no last minute cruise pricing anymore because of all the complaints. So how can I save any money by using your site. Is just for info only? Chris

' src=

Thank you for sharing your experience with “NextVaCay”. Just as other’s have mentioned, I just stumbled upon your blog. To attention to detail and enthusiasm was felt. Noting the date you initionally shared your review to now, has your experience changed? The last few posr which were more recent did not receive a response. Also i am curious why the owners of “NextVaCay” are not using this forum to address concerns or sincere inquiries. I would love to move forward with a membership and in addition encourage my friends and family to do the same. Your updated review and input from the company would make my decision a lot easier. Thank you

Orelia, I do still use and love Next Vacay – I often share about it on social media. I do try to reply to all comments, but with over 1000 blog posts on Hippie in Heels some fall through the cracks. I get over 50 comments each day! But yes, still love them!

' src=

THANKS or them info info. I’ll check it out for sure.

' src=

I love the Next Vacay notifications. We have not had a chance to take advantage of any yet but hope to this summer . I do have to say, I did have an issue when dealing with the trial session. Rather than air it out here, I’d prefer to hear from Next Vacay via email to address bc I’m sure I’m not the one who had this issue. Otherwise, I love the concept and the updates I receive. I especially enjoy receiving the “We know you don’t live in Dallas/Houston but we found great deals from these cities you may be interested in…” bc neither big city is too far away.

Cheers! JTJP

Jamie you can email them at [email protected] :) glad you like it so far!

' src=

I just wanted to say thank you for sharing Next Vacay on social media! While I have not been able to use any of the deals, I am pleased to say that I am receiving 3-4 a week in my email. I can’t wait until I can take advantage of a deal and cross a destination off my bucket list.

Yay! Great to hear that :)

' src=

I’m on the big island of Hawaii. Would they have deals for me? Most travel sites don’t offer for here

' src=

I wonder if most of the cheap flights have long/many layovers and poor travel times. This is typically what I expect from the the most affordable airfare.

Nope, I get deals all the time and they are often directs and ones with a short layover!

' src=

Doesn’t have my home airport as an option – Halifax.

' src=

Does it offer deals from Canadian airports, particularly Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta?

' src=

This will prob. only apply to people who live in the Continental U.S. It’s rare or nearly impossible to get these fares coming from the Hawaiian islands! We live on Maui & many international flights originate or fly out of Hnl, adding an extra $75-100 on top of the fare. Even flights to the West Coast are minimum $500 r/t, mind you that is the best deal around. I can’t imagine what airfares we could get to Europe or Asia from Hawaii! I’m sure I speak for many Hawaii people. So, would this work for us here on Maui too?

' src=

I’d like to see reviews from people who have actually booked flights on it. I like your take on the company and see you flown them but the only issue I have is I’ll see tons and tons of people commenting on the great idea but I’ve not seen anyone actually talk about the flights they booked and normal comments sections

Just go to their FB page – they “reshare” all their customer’s posts that tag them thanking them for their cheap flights. There are hundreds https://www.facebook.com/nextvacay/

' src=

I went to the website and signed up for the trial member. So this is only for flight but hotel is not included ? Is that’s the case I’m going to cancel. I rather pay for flight and hotel together instead of separately

Chris, this blog post explains exactly what Next Vacay is. It is for flights.

' src=

i’m a single mom with two kids – we love to travel, but budget is always tight. is this for us, too?

Yeah I think it would be perfect for you!

' src=

may give it a try

' src=

Said in Follow My Adventures that my email was wrong…

' src=

Hi, I loved your article and found it super useful! $25 is no expense for the deals stated above and a month free trial? THAT A STEAL!!! I was thinking of signing up but as soon as I try to make a profile it asks for my card information, many time I am very iffy about things like this because of issues before, I am thinking about traveling out of Houston and into Thailand this summer and was wondering if you knew an average from this site?

Hey Cristal, if you want to cancel they let your right away so no worries about putting your card in. No, sorry I don’t know specific rates for that as my home airport isn’t Houston.

' src=

Rachel, I do not see an answer from you to the question above from Ruby on March 27, 2018 about deals in the Hawaiian Islands. Will you please respond to her question? Thank you so much for the info.

Dowanna please see this post about Hawaii

' src=

Very disappointed my airport was not listed. I really wanted to sign up!!!

How long should we expect a notification from our departure Airport

' src=

Hi .. we want to travel Hawaii.. so can u plz sent us some good deals… we r member of 5 including having 1 yrs baby ., Thnx..

' src=

Thank you for sharing

' src=

I would really want to join, but YHZ (Halifax Stanfield Intl Airport) is not on the list Would it be possible that it’ll be included in the airport list? Thank you!

' src=

Great article! How is it different from Hopper? I just came back from a European vacation, flights purchase on Hopper. I’d like to compare these two to see which could save me even more money on my next adventure.

' src=

Thank thank thank you forsuch an informative article. I travel throughout the year and I have a domestic travel plan as well Two caribbean trips in September and November. Im planning my 50th for next year with travel to Paris, Rome and Barecleona so I am signing up today. Thank you again

' src=

Can you choose more than one home airport? I am lucky enough to live within travel distance to SEVERAL major airports.

You choose your main one and they add in the ones closest to you (or it could be updated now where you can choose them yourself).

' src=

If Halifax or St. John’s were airport options, I’d join.

' src=

Hey Rachel, is this deal available for existing members of Next vacay?

' src=

I would love to look at it before being prompted for my card details. I was all ready to sign up for my trial and then it asked me for card details, so I clicked out :-(

Hey Fiona, that is the norm for companies that give you trials. I just signed up to a 30 day gmail g-suite trial and had to give my card details. The point is if you don’t cancel on the trial, they then charge you

' src=

Great article! I’m curious, as I live in Australia Can I use it from here?

' src=

I have to say I am quite jealous of you! I wish I could just leave nursing behind, go live in an exotic international local, and earn a living writing about my adventures. Good for you!!

Hi Michael! Have you thought about travel nursing? That is what I did first. The healthcare covers you in between assignments so you can take time to travel plus you make a heck of a lot more money :) You can even start in your home state – I think it just has to be 50 miles away from your home address.

' src=

Hi Rachel! I am actually doing travel nursing now. I just finished an assignment in Barrow, Alaska and was supposed to go back for an extension after a vacation, but they overbooked so they cancelled my new contract last minute. Currently working on getting my next contract now :) I’m already looking forward to my next vacation! The hard part is always deciding where to go next. India is definitely on my bucket list, and I imagine that you are having a great time there now!

' src=

Hi Rachel love the article and the ideal thank you for sharing. I live in a border town and use two airports as my home airport Buffalo New York USA and Toronto Ontario Canada. Can I use two home airports?

' src=

Interesting I will have to try it out!

' src=

Can you enter more than one departure airport? I live close to 2 airports! Or do you pay the $25 for each airport?

You enter one and they give you deals on the surrounding airports that are near that one. Example: I am between Columbus and Cleveland so put Columbus but gets deals on both of those and even some Pittsburgh and Chicago when they are amazing and maybe worth driving for. Those extras are free with the $25

' src=

Hi Rachel, came across your blog through Facebook and thank you for shaing this article! Me & my husband are planning to move to Puerto Vallarta next year & definitely will be a great adventure for us:) I see you live in Mexico now, any advice or suggestions for newcomers?

' src=

Awesome info! I’m in!

' src=

Sadly i couldn’t try it free for 30 days without providing my credit card.

Hi Cyndy – Yes, you do have to provide it. That’s how free trials work in most cases, even something like Amazon Prime :)

' src=

Is there a minimum travel or minimum booking per year agreement?

No, you just decide which deals you like and want to book or don’t

' src=

Hi, you list Australia as one country who can sign up for deals… Do you have many deals which come up regularly through out the year please. Your total cost is $25 for one year with you there are no other charges involved? Thanks

' src=

Can you filter where you want deals for from your airport like Europe and mexico etc of will it be random and can you filter amount of days for vacation? I’m looking forward to getting it in February to try it out. I’m just not 100 percent sure yet since it’s so new to me

' src=

I used to use NextVacay but switched to PlaneSurfers a few months ago. They send me even more deals and they’re always 2-3 days ahead of NV. Love your blog!

' src=

Thanks so much. Just curious if they find deals on business and or first class?

Special trip with my mother!

Just booked 2 tickets from Minneapolis to Budapest for this fall - what a great deal too! Taking my mom, who will be 82 at the time, to visit my son (her grandson) who will be studying in Budapest for a semester. Will also take her to Vienna and Salzburg. She's been to England, Scotland, and Ireland, but never continental Europe. Will be nice to share such a trip with her! Thank you Next Vacay!!

We're so excited for you, Michael! It sounds like you have an amazing vacation in the works and being able to experience it all with three generations of your family will make this such a memorable trip. We're so happy we could be a part of making this trip come to life, and we hope you all have a truly incredible time in Europe.

Never knew I wanted to travel until them

I have gone places I never knew I wanted to go thanks to the heads up on the pricing. Because of NextVacay I have been to Barcelona, Alaska, Paris, Lisbon and soon Australia. When they say the deals are going fast they mean that I missed out on Osaka Japan because I waited till the next day. :( I have told so many about this service and they in turn have taken trips. The only downside is there are too many trips and not enough vacation time!

Date of experience : February 15, 2024

Talk about an impressive list of destinations! We're ecstatic we could ignite your wanderlust, Angie, and help you travel the world one destination at a time. We love being able to help create these special trips and memories, and your kind words mean the world. Here's hoping your trip to Australia is amazing, and our fingers are crossed that another opportunity to travel to Japan finds itself in your inbox soon! Happy travels :)

Just booked a flight!

I just booked a flight to Madrid! My dad has family in Spain that he has not seen since he was a child. I have been wanting to surprise him with a trip for so long, so I was over the moon when I saw a deal for Madrid pop up in my inbox. I never would have been able to find a deal like this on my own. Thank you Next Vacay!

Date of experience : May 21, 2024

Thank you so much for sharing this amazing news with us, Abigail! Being able to surprise your father with a gift like this must feel so special. This is bound to be a memorable trip for him, and we're so happy we could play a small part in such a momentous occasion. Here's to an incredible time in Madrid reuniting with your father's family!

Time-saver for the spontaneous traveler!

I'll preface my review by saying this tool won't be for everyone. If you have specifics around where, how, and when you travel - you may not get a lot out of this subscription. IF you like spontaneously booking great deals to new destinations and have the flexibility to go when the prices are hot, this is for you. Here's my reply to a recent email that I was able to take advantage of: Long time viewer, first time booker!! So excited to explore the Christmas markets and visit family in Vienna for a fraction of the cost I've spent on previous travels to Austria. I was spoiled to see an email come through from a small regional airport to Vienna for the holiday season starting at $525 a flight. I booked for around $700 RT for a week and a half at the beginning of December.

Date of experience : March 07, 2024

Congrats on booking your first flight from our deals, Jenn! It means so much to us to be able to help people travel and for a fraction of the cost they'd normally pay. We're so happy you were able to take advantage of this deal and now get to visit your family in Vienna for the holidays! We hope you have a very merry time exploring the Christmas markets and celebrating with your loved ones. Happy travels!

We got alerted to a SMOKIN deal to…

We got alerted to a SMOKIN deal to Maui…191 round trip NON STOP from Phoenix! We did upgrade a bit to get the refundable fare and still only paid 297 round trip per person. Totally worth the subscription!

Date of experience : January 19, 2024

That's an awesome deal, Jennifer! And even with the refundable fare upgrade, it's still such a steal! We're so excited you were able to nab these tickets, and we hope you have an amazing time in beautiful Maui!

Miami-Lisbon

I just booked 5 people Miami-Lisbon $460 per person. Great service. Thanks!

Date of experience : May 15, 2024

That's awesome, Lilivet! We're so pleased to hear you're enjoying our service, and we hope you all have a fantastic time in Lisbon! Happy traveling :)

I have used Next Vacay to book two…

I have used Next Vacay to book two international family trips now. I absolutely love the emails and getting inspiration to visit new locations that I may have not thought of before…. Not to mention the deals!! We flew round trip from Orlando to Milan for $500 and Orlando to Lima round trip for around $350 per person! I’ll only book using Next Vacay when booking our family vacations and I literally recommend it to everyone I know. It’s so easy to use and so fun to discover new places to travel!

Date of experience : September 01, 2023

That's awesome, Amanda! Inspiring people to travel to places they've never considered before and finding cheap, inexpensive flights to do it is our favorite thing! So we're so happy you've been able to go on not one but two international trips with your family using Next Vacay :) Thanks so much for recommending us to people you know, and we can't wait to see all of the fun new places you'll discover in the future!

My favorite emails Every Week! Thanks Guys

Hey guys! I can’t thank you enough for this one! We were able to get a group of friends together and we will all celebrate #friendship! #adventuring #VATTravel #lux4less #liveswelllived I have personally been using this platform since it’s early beginnings and I have gotten lucky for clients countless times; saving them hundreds if not thousands of dollars in airfare that can then be used for more experiences or a swankier hotel!

Date of experience : July 17, 2023

It means the world to us that ours are your favorite emails to get each week, Tanya! We love sharing these deals and hearing that you've taken advantage of some incredible savings and even helped your clients save too! After all, who doesn't love a swankier hotel stay or adding more experiences to their vacation? With this one, we hope you have a fantastic trip and make some truly unforgettable memories with your friends. Happy #friendship travels!

Once again Next Vacay helped find a…

Once again Next Vacay helped find a good deal on flights for our next adventure, hiking cabin to cabin in Norway this summer. Thank so much!

Date of experience : March 20, 2024

We're so excited for you, Nicola! We're happy you were able to take advantage of this deal and for such epic plans, too! Hiking around such a gorgeous country sounds positively dreamlike, and Norway in the summer is bound to be beautiful. Happy traveling!

I can’t rave about NextVacay enough!!

I can’t rave about NextVacay enough!! The dates and fares in their notification email were perfect!! We were able to book our flights to Italy using our airline miles and, get this, we used fewer miles for 2 round-trip premium economy tickets to Italy than we spent on our tickets to Orlando earlier this year! We saved so much on the airline tickets that we decided to stay 4 extra days in Italy! NextVacay, you’re all awesome and I can’t thank you enough!

Date of experience : June 13, 2023

That's amazing, Leslie! We love that you were able to not only take advantage of the deal but use your airline miles to score some major savings, enough to even extend your trip another four days! That's exactly why we love finding these deals and sharing, and we're so happy and excited for you! Have a wonderful trip to Italy, and we can't wait to see where you'll go next!

Next Vacay is the real deal

Next Vacay is the real deal! I really love the deals they share, and I'm happy to say I just booked my flight to Dublin for my birthday in February 2024. The deal was amazing! It's unfortunate that we had to pay extra to choose a seat, but overall, no complaints about an affordable nonstop flight from SFO to DUB! Going to visit all my husband's relatives residing in the beautiful Emerald Isle. I appreciate your wonderful sleuthing :)

Date of experience : August 15, 2023

Talk about the perfect birthday present! We're so excited we could put our sleuthing skills to good use and find you this amazing deal to Dublin. Celebrating your birthday with your family in Ireland will surely be a special and memorable time. Here's to a wonderful trip and a very happy birthday in the Emerald Isle!

Spent 5 days in Aruba…

Spent 5 days in Aruba with my husband and friends thanks to Next Vacay. Flights for all flying from different cities were less than $350. This was my 3rd vacation using the trip alerts.

Date of experience : March 01, 2024

What a deal and what a trip. We're so glad you were all able to jet away to Aruba together for such a great price. We're honored this is your third trip, and we can't wait to hear where you'll go next!

We’ve taken some amazing trips!

We’ve taken some amazing trips since joining Next Vacay including two trips to Paris (one of them less than $300 round trip), a trip to Maui for around $300 from Florida, and another trip to the Big Island for just about the same price. A few others that kept us on the mainland too. Amazing!! Hoping for Iceland when things reopen!! #mynextvacay!

Date of experience : May 18, 2021

Talk about snagging some great deals, Melody! It sounds like you've been able to take advantage of some awesome opportunities to travel, from Hawaii to Paris and more in between :) We're can't wait to see where you'll go next! Iceland happens to be one of our favorite places in the world, so we'll be keeping our fingers crossed and our eyes on the lookout for you!

One of my best friends in California…

One of my best friends in California turned me on to next Vacay. I trust him so I trusted investing and this first ticket to Massachusetts is extra valuable to me because I’ll be able to visit someone I love dearly. She’s actually my former partner, we met in California 13 years ago, now she lives in a rural area in Massachusetts and I am out here in California. To score a round-trip ticket For less than $300 including insurance is great, sweet, unbeatable. It’s worth it, just do it.

Date of experience : June 13, 2020

That's so incredibly special, Damiian! Traveling in itself is a wonderful experience, but we're so honored we could help you find this deal to get you out to Massachusetts and reconnect with your loved one! Thanks so much for sharing this great news with us, and we hope you have an amazing trip! :)

Great deal to Florida

I look forward to their emails always!! Due to pandemic, I was unable to utilize them for a good while! However, we finally booked a trip through their recommendations for this coming December to go to Florida round trip from Philadelphia for under 150 dollars a ticket … what a steal!! We can’t wait!!

Date of experience : May 11, 2021

That's great news, Alexandra! We know the pandemic halted a lot of travel plans over this past year, and we're so excited to see things slowly but surely opening back up! We're so happy we could help you snag such a steal for your first trip with us in a while and we're so excited for what else this year may bring. Happy traveling, and we hope you have a wonderful time in Florida! :)

My best friend got three tickets to…

My best friend got three tickets to Tokyo and is taking her two new teenage stepdaughters and they are beyond thrilled. Thanks so much! I really appreciate the dreams and opportunities your service provides to me, especially during these difficult times. This time, it helped a dear friend, but we love it too, and intend to scoop up another deal soon. Thanks for sharing your flight-finding skills!

Date of experience : September 04, 2020

That's awesome news, Gretchen! We're so happy you could share this deal with a friend and that she was able to use it to book her and her stepdaughters an amazing trip to Tokyo! With times like we're in right now, the littlest bright spots can offer the most joy, and it's amazing what traveling can do to lift your spirits! We're so happy we can share that joy and excitement with you and by extension, your friends and their families as well. It really means the world to us, so thanks again for sharing :) We hope they have an amazing trip, and we can't wait to see what adventures are in store for you in the future as well!

Subscription non refundable even during 10mths of covid border closure

Would give them zero if I could. Charged a subscription during covid. Airlines and borders shut by the government, can not travel. And as previous review said no warming for subscription. People are struggling lost jobs, struggling to pay bills and boom next vacation has no problem charging for a service that is not useable and hasn’t been for 10mths. Absolute joke of a service, you can find same or better deals yourself. Would never recommend next vacay.

Date of experience : November 16, 2020

Thanks for sharing your feedback, Jen. We always appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. We are still continuing to find and send out deals and provide our service to our members, so that is why we are continuing to charge for membership. To clarify, we are not sending just any deals we find but specifically looking for deals that our members can safely take advantage of and can plan to take much further out if necessary, such as in the summer or fall of 2021. We're also finding those deals through airlines with flexible policies, so there are options in the event that a flight is canceled or you're no longer able to travel come your trip date. Of course, we completely understand that even with these precautions, some members may not interested in traveling currently and with everything else going on, may wish to or need to stop their service until such a date in the future when they can travel once more. Members are free to cancel their subscription at any time or set their subscription to non renew if they don't wish to be charged for another year of deals. We understand you weren't pleased to be charged the annual membership fee, but as your subscription was still active and had not been canceled or set to non renew, you continued to receive our service and this is why the membership fee was charged. We did not receive any complaints about the deals or the service you received, so we were not aware of any issues. Our team has reached out in via email in hopes to address your concerns fully, so you can respond to our email or reach us directly at [email protected] with anything else you need.

Thanksgiving in Santa Ana for $202 a ticket…

We just booked three tickets from Charlotte to Santa Ana over Thanksgiving for $202 each. I had a $35 credit and a $125 voucher from American Airlines, making the trip even less expensive! And...I somehow booked three exit row seats on both of the longer flights at no charge (maybe because of my AAdvantage MC?), avoiding the $85/per seat, per flight additional charges!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK LADIES!!!

Date of experience : June 23, 2020

This sounds like an all-around steal, Barbara! This flight will definitely be a comfortable one :) We're so happy we could help you save big on this trip to Santa Ana over the Thanksgiving holiday, and we can't wait to see what other deals are in store for you. Happy traveling!

I booked a trip to Copenhagen

I booked a trip to Copenhagen, and found a great deal. I ended up getting an upgraded ticket with the priority seating and free baggage for only $800 total round trip from San Francisco in February. Seats were selling fast as I tried to pay, so I’m glad I booked soon. With hotel points I have saved, it will make for an inexpensive European vacation.

Date of experience : August 24, 2022

That's fantastic, Lisa! Happy to hear you were able to take advantage of the deal we sent before it sold out and even score an upgrade to make your flight more comfortable! Copenhagen is such a beautiful and charming city, we're sure you'll love it! If you'll be there in February, we've heard good things about the Copenhagen Light Festival which takes place throughout the month, so if you have time, definitely check that out! Happy traveling :)

next vacay travel deals

A common problem frequent travelers face is the difficulty of booking a flight ticket for free. On the one hand, getting your hands on cheap flight deals may help free up your budget. On the other hand, getting scammed by services promising cheap flights might ruin your trip before it even starts.

If you're looking for decent flight deal services, you've probably heard of Dollar Flight Club , Scott's Cheap Flights, and Matt's Flights . But what about Next Vacay?

Next Vacay believes everyone deserves a chance to travel the world, which is why they want to help people find the best deals on airfare, hotels, and more. But are they legit, and are their cheap flight deals worth it?
