$115,000+ Disney Around the World Private Jet “Adventure” Returns for 2024

disney private tour around the world

‘Disney Parks Around The World – A Private Jet Adventure’ is returning for 2024. This bucket list international trip spans 24 days, 6 countries, all 12 Disney theme parks worldwide, and other destinations all for the low, low starting price of $115,000. This post shares details about the second year of this exclusive offering along with our commentary. ( Updated June 1, 2023 .)

Here’s the overview from Adventures by Disney: Embark on a bucket list adventure for 75 ultimate Disney fans! This dream vacation spans 24 days and covers 6 countries, visits to 12 uniquely magical Disney theme parks, as well as 3 iconic landmarks: the Taj Mahal, Pyramids of Giza and Eiffel Tower.

Throughout the ‘Disney Parks Around The World – A Private Jet Adventure’ trip, you’ll stay in world-class accommodations and travel in luxury aboard a VIP-configured Boeing 757, operated by Icelandair, with long-range capabilities that allow for direct flights to maximize your time in each destination. You’ll also enjoy personal access to experts and staff, who provide fun and fact-filled stories enabling you to be immersed in every location you visit.

Booking for the 2024 ‘Disney Parks Around The World – A Private Jet Adventure’ will begin on the following dates:

  • June 12, 2023: Previous Adventures by Disney Guests who have traveled on 3 or more Adventures
  • June 14, 2023: All Previous Adventures by Disney Guests
  • June 16, 2023: Golden Oak Members
  • June 19, 2023: General Public

Dates for the ‘Disney Parks Around The World – A Private Jet Adventure’ are as follows:

  • July 9 to August 1, 2023 – SOLD OUT ( see below)
  • June 16, 2024 to July 9, 2024
  • July 28, 2024 to Aug 20, 2024

Note that there are two 2024 itineraries for the ‘Disney Parks Around The World – A Private Jet Adventure’ instead of one this year. That’s presumably because the inaugural voyage sold out before ever even opening to the general public.

disney private tour around the world

Last year, pre-sales for the worldwide trip to all Disney theme parks went on sale on June 20 for Adventures by Disney “Adventure Insiders” and most slots were booked at that point. The remaining ~5 slots booked first thing when availability opened for Golden Oak and Club 33.

We were told at the time by a credible source that demand among those residents and members far exceeded available slots, and there was a lengthy waitlist for guests who are interested in booking the experience. The general public on-sale date never happened last year as a result.

In other words, if the 2024 ‘Disney Parks Around The World – A Private Jet Adventure’ is something that “speaks to you,” then you better decide ASAP whether you want to do this or a 5-night stay at Pop Century for your big trip next year. (We’re opting for the ‘middle ground’ and doing Caribbean Beach. To each their own, though.)

disney private tour around the world

As you can see from our critical commentary below, this Disney Parks Private Jet Adventure holds no appeal for us. We also question why those with the means would do this as opposed to something by an actual luxury brand or a do it yourself trip. However, we never  questioned whether this would sell out last year. With so few slots and so many affluent Disney fans, that much was always a foregone conclusion.

While it’s not for me, I’m curious what level of demand exists for this and how much of that is due to its perceived exclusivity. In other words, if there were 5-10 dates from the outset, would it have booked much more slowly? How many dates could be added before there’s a drop-off?

Perhaps we’ll find out for 2024, but probably not. A grand total of 150 slots still makes this exceedingly scarce. There are literally hundreds of thousands of diehard Disney fans, and all it takes is a  tiny  fraction of them (we’re talking the 1% of the 1%) to make the 2024 ‘Disney Parks Around The World – A Private Jet Adventure’  viable.

disney private tour around the world

In the meantime, let’s begin with basics for our readers who are heirs to frozen banana stand empires and thus will want to book this new Adventures by Disney itinerary if more dates are added. The trip starts at Disneyland in Anaheim before traveling north to Los Angeles and San Francisco. From there, it heads to Tokyo Disneyland via Alaska, Shanghai Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, and Walt Disney World.

Between stops the Asia parks and Disneyland Paris, the private jet will make several detours to 3 iconic landmarks: the Taj Mahal, Pyramids of Giza, and Eiffel Tower. Throughout the trip, you’ll stay in world-class accommodations, including the rare opportunity to be a guest at Summit Skywalker Ranch. Naturally, you’ll travel in luxury via a VIP-configured Boeing 757, operated by Icelandair, with long-range capabilities. Presumably, it also has efficient WiFi for casually gloating about the posh experience via realtime Instagram updates. If not, well… that’s a dealbreaker for me!

During the Disney Parks Around The World – A Private Jet Adventure, guests will also enjoy personal access to experts and staff, who provide fun and fact-filled stories at every location you visit. This includes tours guided by representatives from Imagineering, Lucasfilm, Walt Disney Co., and more.

Here are some of the trip highlights:

Our Commentary

There are two ways to approach this commentary. The first would be treating this trip seriously, breaking down the estimated costs on a line-item basis in order to analyze whether the the Disney Parks Around The World – A Private Jet Adventure is “worth it” from an objective perspective or, if not, how much Disney is marking up the indulgent itinerary. The other would be dismissing it out of hand as ridiculous, and critiquing it from the perspective of optics.

Obviously, we’re going to choose the second route. As much as I’m curious about how much an Around the World trip to Disney destinations might actually cost (perhaps we’ll do the math in a separate post), I don’t think anyone reading this post is seriously sitting in their La-Z-Boy, thinking: “I’m on the fence about this private jet adventure thingie, sure hope Tom does the math so I can decide whether to book!”

disney private tour around the world

The thing is, I don’t doubt that there’s a market for this type of trip. Honestly, many of Disney’s recent moves have felt like someone inside the company is asking, “how can we be more like Four Seasons and Ritz-Carlton?” First came the company-branded residences, now comes the private jet around-the-world itinerary.

I guess you could even say the Disney Parks Around The World – A Private Jet Adventure is a steal of a deal, since the Four Seasons Private Jet Experiences all appear to be priced above $150,000. While both feel like they’re in “Monopoly Money” territory, I’d imagine the target consumer for this type of trip has more trust in Four Seasons to deliver a luxury experience commensurate with the cost. Four Seasons has the experience and expertise with actual luxury offerings.

disney private tour around the world

For those of you banana stand heirs who are planning on booking this, it’s probably easy to write off criticism as jealousy. While my curiosity has been piqued by past Adventures by Disney itineraries (and we’ve done one long weekend in San Francisco), I honestly struggle to see the appeal in a trip like this even when setting aside the exorbitant cost.

If we had a couple hundred thousand dollars to dedicate to an around the world trip, I’d rather put it together myself. That would give me complete control over the itinerary and, critically, not be subject to sharing the experience with 73 strangers. (The odds are not in your favor that of 73 wealthy people, they’ll all be perfectly tolerable and well-adjusted.)

disney private tour around the world

That’s the sticking point for me. (Well, that and the WiFi situation. And I guess the cost, if we’re being totally honest.) With other Adventures by Disney itineraries, the argument can be made that there’s value in the ease and efficiency of a group trip for affluent individuals. After all, vacation time is limited and their time has, in theory at least, tremendous value.

The same argument is a harder sell for a month-long trip. These people clearly have time on their hands, and could easily put this together themselves–or hire someone to do it for them.

disney private tour around the world

Speaking of which, at this point I should plug my own travel planning services, which are actually launching today (total coincidence). For the bargain basement price of $54,997.50, I will take you on a tour of these same places. Please note that won’t feature a private jet but it  will  include us getting lost on the Tokyo Metro and seeing rats at one of my favorite spots near the Eiffel Tower.

But did you really visit Tokyo and Paris if you didn’t get lost in one and see rats in the other? Joking aside, it’s absolutely the imperfections that make travel and exploring new places memorable. Now  that  is an actual adventure and where the magic of travel truly happens.

To that point, I’d also humbly suggest that an around-the-world trip is absolutely the wrong way to explore and experience these destinations in meaningful ways. None of them will be done justice by such cursory and superficial visits. If you have no shortage of time and resources, do these places the right way.

disney private tour around the world

This Adventures by Disney itinerary feels like it’s less about ease and efficiency and more about coddling people who want to travel the world without really experiencing the world. Those who need the comfort and safety of Disney just to see international theme parks so they can check off every park on their bucket list and boast about the accomplishment.

My reaction was more or less the same to that new subdivision Disney is attaching its brand to on the outskirts of Palm Springs . The main appeal of that area is its rich history, culture, and stunning mid-century modern architecture. It’s a truly amazing place with tremendous charm and appeal. You endure the desert heat and everything else because all of that is so cool. A new subdivision there comes with all of the downside and none of the upside–literally missing the point entirely.

disney private tour around the world

Setting all of that aside, my bigger concern is one of optics. Disney had to have known that this new Adventures by Disney itinerary would get picked up by every blog and vlog. It’ll become outrage fodder, racking up millions of views on videos and posts–not from people planning on doing the trip, but from those disgusted by its very existence.

Although my commentary above might suggest otherwise, I hold no disdain towards those who can afford to do this. I also don’t begrudge the company for trying to capture some of this lucrative market share. Not that you care, but I am very much pro capitalism–about as far from “eat the rich” as you can get. The analysis here is less taking offense to the existence of this itinerary, and more why any reasonable person would want to do it given what it costs, entails, and the alternatives.

disney private tour around the world

With regard to corporate optics, there’s probably never a good time to announce a $100,000 private jet tour of the global Disney parks. However, I cannot conceive of a time that’s worse than right now. The company has already nickel and dimed park-goers so much over the last few years, increasing costs and segmenting its theme park offerings in ways that have given rise to backlash from pretty much everyone–but especially those who believe Disney only “caters to the rich” now.

As I’ve stated before, that is categorically false. One-percenters are not booking motel rooms with exterior hallways at the Value or Moderate Resorts. Beyond that, they are largely not visiting Walt Disney World at all, save for rite of passage trips. When they do, they’re more inclined to stay at the Four Seasons Orlando or Ritz-Carlton, although some undoubtedly do stay at Grand Floridian and the Poly.

disney private tour around the world

I’m so confident in this assertion because it’s a simple numbers game. Sure, there are wealthy Disney fans and casual visitors. However, there are not enough of them to fill the parks and resorts on a daily basis. It’s gotta be the middle and upper middle class, splurging or going into debt. These consumers are literally  the only way Walt Disney World can stay in business. The upper class cannot sustain the parks and resorts.

It’s one thing to sell 75 of these $100,000 private jet trips in a year. It’s another entirely to book over 100,000 guests per day in resorts and theme parks, every single day of the year. It’s a matter of scale–if the number of these private jet trips were increased to 1,000 or even 10,000 (again, in a year–not a day), the company would probably have trouble filling them, too.

disney private tour around the world

Regardless of that truth, it often feels like Walt Disney World doesn’t care about anyone but the wealthy. There are countless recent examples of this, from simple things like Extended Evening Hours only for Deluxe Resorts to extravagant new VIP tours to Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser’s price tag. (On the plus side, the Halcyon now feels like a downright bargain as compared to this!)

The totality of these recent offerings and changes is alone is enough to alienate many lifelong Disney fans. They understandably have the perception that the company no longer cares about them, and has left behind the middle class in its lust of higher-spending affluent guests. This is not easily quantifiable, but it’s long-term brand damage that very well might outweigh the short-term financial gains of selling under 100 private jet world tours.

disney private tour around the world

It probably will offer little reassurance, but currently it seems to feel like Disney doesn’t care much about anyone. We recently talked to Club 33 members who were beyond frustrated about service, telephone hold times, and a range of other issues. Disney Vacation Club members are reporting the same, and we’ve also heard from those who booked Adventures by Disney itineraries this year who have had their plans unilaterally changed or cancelled at the last minute, among other things.

This cuts to the crux of my issue with Disney rolling out this and other premium offerings right now. It would be one thing if the company’s parks & resorts division were firing on all cylinders and delivering an exemplary guest experience. That’s not the case. The top priority in the near-term should be fixing what’s broken and improving its customer service before expanding into new horizons and price strata.

disney private tour around the world

Ultimately, that’s my take on the new Adventures by Disney itinerary, Disney Parks Around The World – A Private Jet Adventure. I understand why Disney is offering this and won’t be the least bit surprised if it sells out quickly. No real issues with any of that on its face.

I do wonder whether Disney should even be going down this path in the first place at a time when they’ve already eroded so much goodwill. This will only accelerate and exacerbate that. My question for the company is essentially the same as for those planning to book this trip: at what cost?! There’s the straightforward monetary component, but also the opportunity cost and so much more.

I don’t disagree with anything you’ve written, but I do think it leaves out one selling point over doing this trip on your own: Access. At least theoretically, doing a trip like this hosted by Disney could give access to backstage type experiences that some would consider priceless or otherwise unattainable. That kind of access is the only reason I would consider doing any of the VIP park tours or any ABD park trip.

I have considered ABD for some other trips I want to do (Africa specifically) and there the benefit to me is convenience and confidence in the brand – meaning I know through reputation that their guides will be good, the travel logistics are likely to be managed well, etc. So I can see brand confidence as a perceived benefit as well. Disney is going to do a better whirlwind tour of their parks than anyone else will. Ultimately I’ve ruled out ABD because of price, and I enjoy travel planning so not worth the premium. However I can see how those 2 benefits would shine if $$$$ were not an issue and I didn’t want to make much of an effort. (Can I really find a travel planner better than Disney for Disney?)

I also agree on the “not enough time to do justice” point, but a lot of trips are more of a survey of places, then you return to the ones that really interest you. That doesn’t seem like a downside if you have the funds to go back.

I’m … *somewhat* annoyed that Adventures by Disney isn’t leveraging the free advertising this is generating and putting together an official Asian Disney Parks tour. There’s a Disneyland Paris tour and two Disneyland focused tours for Southern California, but apparently nothing for the Asian parks. I’m not saying such a tour would be affordable for everyone, obviously, but it seems like an obvious spin-off that isn’t being done and leaving money on the table.

Hat tip to Kelly D. for giving us the idea last year that it could make sense as something like this. Now I want an official Disney Asian theme park tour!

' src=

I’m pretty sure the bad optics are on purpose. The upside for Disney is that it gets a lot of attention and it makes their other vacation options seem reasonably priced by comparison, so maybe you’ll be more inclined to spend a little more freely on one of those.

' src=

Okay, I finally found the original post. I’ve been on a few “adventure” trips that included apparently rich people. One owned a company “making” worms for compost piles, one was a lawyer and former mayor of a semi-large American city, several were doctors, some were PhD physicists, one was a retired Air Force commander? Colonel? Some rank where he could blow over half a million in adventure trips since he had retired. My experience with these people is the same as my experience with regular people – some are nut jobs, some have to prove how smart or physically fit they are (always better than you), some are mean, some are sliding into dementia, some have weird obsessions like agility dogs, and some are pretty nice regular people. I would not want to be stuck for a month with them. This Round-the-World adventure sounds like misery to me, especially since I usually have no travel companion. It would be much more fun, and affordable, to put together your own trip. You just wouldn’t get to visit Skywalker Ranch, talk with Imagineers, etc.

' src=

The middle of the summer sounds like the absolute best time to be visiting Florida, Egypt, and central Asia. Exactly when I’d go if I had $115k and could just jet off for a month.

' src=

I didn’t even think about that, but it’s a fantastic point. I can’t speak to the Egypt, but the heat and humidity in China, Hong Kong, and Japan during those months makes Florida feel more like Southern California by comparison!

Southeast Asia in February 2013 was enough to give two people in my group of 14 heat stroke. They don’t even run tours in the summer – plus there is monsoon season!

' src=

Ugh, Egypt in the summer is awful! We were on a budget tour, part of it was spent sailing down the Nile in small feluccas. A member of our group ended up begging for ice cubes from a more upscale tour group. I remember it was 45C. At least it was a dry heat! LOL

' src=

I want to do this trip but plan it myself, my husband already flys private jets so I might catch a break there, but this would for sure be a trip of a lifetime !

' src=

Making this ” sold out ” is just creating a bunch of FOMO.

Who says it is sold out? Disney, Who “purchased ” the tickets? Media outlets, some rich people with time, etc. And truly at what price did they pay for it? We have no transparency that everyone is paying the full price.

It is marketing folks. They needed a win since everything else is in chaos, and some projects have failed (Star Wars overnight hotel experience i.e. ) . And various Disney execs need contracts and raises…..

Some great comments on June 14,15 about the perspective of 20 yr Disney patrons… if you have time take a read. Keep your mind open.

The great thing about capitalism is that if a void is not filled, i.e. people cannot afford, or turn away from Disney parks, some other company or experience will be available to them. Maybe sooner than Disney anticipates…..

' src=

Where do I sign up for the 55K Get Lost Around The World With The Brickers trip? I’m down for that 😉

' src=

Does this trip include TIPS?

' src=

Maybe Disney isn’t catering to the rich as much as they’re catering to the addicts. People of all financial means are hooked on Disney and they’ll make all kinds of concessions to ‘get their fix’.

This 24-day Private Jet Trip Will Take You to Every Disney Park Around the World

The around-the-world trip starts at $109,995 per person.

disney private tour around the world

Disney is planning an epic around-the-world jaunt by private jet next year, heading to six different countries and all 12 of the company's theme parks.

The Adventures by Disney trip, which is set to take off on July 9, 2023, will invite 75 Disney fans on board a "VIP-configured Boeing 757" aircraft to fly from Los Angeles on a 24-day trip to some of the most iconic destinations in the world, according to the company . The plane will be operated by Icelandair and has long-range capabilities for direct flights.

"Embark on a bucket list adventure for 75 ultimate Disney fans!" Disney wrote about the trip, adding, "You'll also enjoy personal access to experts and staff, who provide fun and fact-filled stories enabling you to be immersed in every location you visit."

The trip starts with a visit to the original park, Disneyland , complete with a Walt Disney Studios tour, access to the park before it opens, and VIP tours. From there, travelers will fly to San Francisco for a visit to the Summit Skywalker Ranch and a Lucasfilm campus tour, before heading to Tokyo , Shanghai , and Hong Kong for trips to the different theme parks and other local activities.

The trip also includes cultural highlights like the Taj Mahal in India (and a sunrise photo op, of course) and the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. Travelers will then head to Paris for some fun at Disneyland Paris and optional tours of the city, Château de Versailles , and the Champagne region before flying back to Florida where they'll end the trip.

Travelers would stay at a mix of Disney hotels and local hotels like The Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra (one of Travel + Leisure's best resort hotels in Asia ).

The tour includes all meals, cocktail hours, gratuities, and laundry services.

Bookings for the world tour, which starts at $109,995 per person, open on June 20 for travelers who have taken at least three previous Adventures by Disney trips, on June 22 for travelers who have taken at least one Adventures by Disney trip, on June 24 for Golden Oak members, and on June 28 for the general public.

On Day 1, you’ll head to the first stop on this world tour, the place where The Walt Disney Company’s theme park journey began: California. You’ll take a flight into one of the Southern California airports and be whisked away to the Grand Californian Hotel. Once your Adventure Guides have checked you in and you’ve freshened up in your room, you’ll get to enjoy a welcome dinner for the entire group at the Lincoln Theatre at Disneyland Park. To end the evening, you’ll have a reserved viewing spot for the Disneyland fireworks.

Day 2 begins with breakfast at the hotel before heading over to the Walt Disney Studios lot for a privately guided tour of the Walt Disney Archives, the Animation and Ink & Paint Buildings, Walt Disney’s Office Suite, and more. After eating lunch on the studio lot, you’ll continue exploring the rest of what the Walt Disney Studios has to offer for the remainder of the afternoon. Lastly, you’ll indulge in dinner at Disneyland Resort before going to Disney California Adventure Park for desserts, champagne, and the World of Color spectacular.

You’ll start Day 3 bright and early with pre-open access to Disneyland Park and a private breakfast at The Golden Horseshoe. The rest of the day will be spent playing in the theme parks, with a VIP tour of Disneyland in the morning and Disney California Adventure after lunch. After exploring the parks, the day’s festivities will conclude with a private dinner in the former home of Starcade.

Days 4-5: San Francisco

disney private tour around the world

Your first group flight of the trip will happen in the morning on Day 4. After one last breakfast at the Grand Californian Hotel, you’ll hop onto a private jet and head to San Francisco for some more Disney history and fun. After arriving, your first stop will be at the Walt Disney Family Museum for a private tour. You’ll enjoy lunch at the museum before visiting the Lucasfilm Campus for a VIP tour. Then, you’ll head to your home for the next two days: Summit Skywalker Ranch, which is reserved exclusively for you and the rest of the group. Once you’ve settled in and eaten dinner, you’ll be able to partake in a variety of activities, including games, movies, and even a tasting of wine selections from the ranch’s vineyards.

Day 5 will be spent enjoying all that Summit Skywalker Ranch has to offer. The resort is massive and there are many options available, so you’ll certainly find something fun and interesting to keep you busy! Day 6: Oakland/Anchorage/Tokyo

disney private tour around the world

After breakfast at Summit Skywalker Ranch on Day 6, you’ll pack up and board the jet at Oakland Airport for your first extended flight of the trip to Tokyo, Japan. The great thing about flying with Adventures by Disney is that there are extra measures taken to ensure you’re comfortable during your long journeys.

Because it’s such a long flight, you’ll be served some tasty snacks and a delicious lunch while your Adventure Guides lead everyone through some fun games and challenges to help pass the time.

The plane will make a short stop in Anchorage, Alaska before beginning the long flight over the ocean to Tokyo. You may want to take a nap during the trip, as the plane will cross over the International Date Line, and you’ll be sent back in time several hours before a half of a day of activities left to enjoy.

Days 7-9: Tokyo

disney private tour around the world

Day 7 is really more like half a day due to the time change from California to Tokyo. When you arrive in Tokyo, Japan, you’ll make your way to Tokyo Disneyland, the second park of your trip. You’ll check into the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, where you’ll be staying for three nights. You and the group will then partake in a private dining experience at Sherwood Garden Restaurant inside the hotel. If you’re tired from the long flight, you may decide to head to your room and relax for the night. However, if you have a bit of energy left, you can head into either Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea for a couple hours before the parks close. We rank Tokyo DisneySea as one of our top Disney Parks around the world !

Day 8 is where the fun in Tokyo really begins. Once you’ve eaten breakfast at Sherwood Garden Restaurant, you and the group will experience a pre-park opening tour of Tokyo DisneySea hosted by the Disney Imagineers. Once the parks have opened, you can choose to explore both Tokyo DisneySea and Tokyo Disneyland with expedited access to the attractions so you can take in as much as possible. After eating lunch at a restaurant of your choice, you can continue to enjoy the parks along with reserved seating for Tokyo Disneyland’s afternoon parade. Dinner will be served at Magellan’s in Tokyo DisneySea, and to finish out the day, you’ll get reserved seating for Tokyo DisneySea’s nighttime spectacular.

Following breakfast on Day 9, you’ll have three different options to choose from for how you’d like to spend your final day in Tokyo. You can continue to spend time in the theme parks on your own with expedited access to the attractions, or you can choose between several full or half-day tours. The full-day excursion will take you to see beautiful temples and shrines throughout the southern city of Kamakura. If you decide you’d like to experience two half-day tours instead, you can spend time learning about local art, architecture, music, or nature. Both the full-day and half-day tours include lunch to keep your energy up. Then, to finish out your time in Tokyo, you and the rest of the group will have a private dinner in Tokyo Disneyland.

Days 10-11: Shanghai

disney private tour around the world

On Day 10, you’ll eat breakfast and lunch on-the-go as you travel to your next stop and the third Disney park on this trip: Shanghai Disney Resort. Once you’ve arrived, there are a few activities you can choose to partake in for the afternoon. You can spend time in Shanghai Disneyland and enjoy expedited attraction access to soak in as much of the theme park as you can or you can select an experience that will show you Shanghai’s culture. Take in the city’s history through several different tour options, participate in a cooking class, or learn how to write Chinese calligraphy—the choice is up to you! In the evening, you can decide to get dinner and spend more time in Shanghai Disneyland or you can have dinner in the city before viewing an acrobatic performance at the Shanghai Circus World Circular Theater.

Day 11 is solely focused on visiting Shanghai Disneyland. You’ll enjoy a traditional Chinese breakfast at an in-park restaurant, then take a behind-the-scenes tour of the theme park and its attractions. After lunch, you can play to your heart’s content with expedited access to attractions and performances. In the evening you’ll dine at an exclusive location in the park and finish out your day watching the Shanghai Disneyland nighttime spectacular from reserved seating.

Days 12-13: Hong Kong

disney private tour around the world

The first half of Day 12 will be spent filling up on breakfast at Lumiere’s Kitchen at Shanghai Disney Resort before boarding your flight to Hong Kong, where the fourth Disney park you’re visiting is located. You’ll be served lunch on the plane, and once you’ve arrived, you'll get right into enjoying your time in the city. For the afternoon, you can either head over to Hong Kong Disneyland to explore or select from one of a few activities, including a city tour, a restaurant tour, or a private cooking class. At night, you have the choice to eat dinner and spend time in the theme park or you can have a private dinner and watch A Symphony of Lights, a massive visual and audio effects show.

Day 13 will give you the full Hong Kong Disneyland experience, starting with a breakfast on Main Street. Throughout the morning, you can ride attractions, watch the entertainment and parades, and participate in the activities offered around the park. Once you’ve eaten lunch, you’ll be given a guided tour of the park, along with expedited access to some of the most popular rides. You’ll have a tasty dinner in the privacy of the Explorer’s Club Restaurant and then watch Hong Kong Disneyland’s nighttime spectacular from a reserved viewing spot.

Days 14-15: Agra

disney private tour around the world

Day 14 marks the first of two non-Disney-related travel stops on your adventure, the first being Agra, India! The day will start early with a sunrise tai chi class and breakfast at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel before you head to the airport to hop on the private jet again. You’ll be provided with lunch while you’re in the air, but don’t eat too much, because when you arrive at the 5-star hotel The Oberoi Amarvilas, you’ll get to enjoy high tea service before you head out for your afternoon adventures. You can choose between a tour of the Agra Fort, a nature walk through the park, or shopping downtown. The long day will wind down with cocktails and a private dinner buffet at your hotel.

On Day 15, you have the opportunity to wake up before the sun to head to the Taj Mahal for some sunrise photos. If you’d rather sleep in a bit, you can have breakfast at the Bellevue Restaurant in the hotel before deciding what you’d like to do for the day. In the morning, you have the choice between taking tours of historic architecture, including the Taj Mahal, or relaxing at the hotel with yoga or lounging by the pool. Once you’ve had lunch, you can explore more historic sites around Agra, including forts, tombs, and other monuments, or visit town to browse the local shops.

In the early evening, you can watch traditional Agra entertainment while indulging in cocktails at the pool and then choose any restaurant in the hotel for dinner.

Day 16: Cairo

disney private tour around the world

Once you’ve eaten one final delicious 5-star breakfast at The Oberoi Amarvilas on Day 16, you’ll transfer to the airport, where you’ll begin the next short leg of your trip to the second non-Disney-related stop, Cairo, Egypt. You’ll be served lunch mid-flight so you can hit the ground running as soon as you touch down.

During your one-day stop, you’ll visit the Pyramids of Giza, which house several tombs of important pharaohs and the Great Sphinx, which stands guard over those tombs. You’ll stay in the Marriott Mena House, Cairo, which is situated at the base of the Pyramids. You’ll also eat dinner in a private location that offers stunning views of the Pyramids.

Days 17-19: Paris

disney private tour around the world

On Day 17, you’ll eat breakfast at your hotel before hopping on the plane and heading to France, home of the fifth Disney park on your trip: Disneyland Paris Resort. Once you’ve arrived in Paris, you’ll check into Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, where you’ll be staying for the next three nights. You’ll have just enough time to enjoy an exclusive dinner in Disneyland Paris before making your way to your VIP viewing spot to watch the Disney Illuminations nighttime spectacular.

Day 18 will start with breakfast at your hotel before a full day of fun at Disneyland Paris. Before the park opens, you’ll be given a guided behind-the-scenes experience to learn about the creation of the park and its most beloved attractions. When the park is open, you’ll receive privileged access to attractions and reserved seating for one of Disneyland Paris’ daytime shows. You can choose where you’d like to eat lunch, and dinner will be served at Manhattan Restaurant in your hotel. When spending the entire day at the parks, it's important to make sure you're prepared with any essentials you might need. Be sure to read our tips on what to bring in your Disney bag while vacationing in the parks.

Your final day in France is Day 19, and you can decide whether you’d like to spend more time in the theme parks or explore the City of Light. Disney Private VIP Tours

Are disney world’s vip tour services worth the cost .

Disney VIP tour sharing

Back in 1965, Walt Disney started something called the Disneyland Resort Ambassador Program. The idea was to personalize Disneyland’s in-park experience and make a trip to the park as memorable as possible.

This Disneyland program served as a forerunner to Disney VIP Tour Services, a division of Disney which offers exclusive in-park experiences at Walt Disney World Resort. Each of these Disney VIP Tours has its own dedicated tour guide to give you a personalized experience.

Yes, Disney Tours are pricey. But they do give you expedited services onto the most popular rides, a behind-the-scenes glimpse into what makes Disney World so magical, and special treatment that you can get anywhere else in the park.

With that said, let’s first discuss the benefits of Disney Private VIP Tours and why they are considered the crème de la crème of Disney World experiences. Then we’ll examine the cost of Private VIP Tours cost and ways you can make VIP Tours more affordable. We include a breakdown of the 4 other VIP Tours that Disney currently offers in order to help you decide if one of these tours may be a better fit for your family vacation.

And finally, once you decide that Disney VIP Tours are something you wish to participate in, then it’s time to contact The Vacationeer ( https://vacationeer.com/private-vip-tours ) to make your arrangements.

So let’s get started!

What are Disney World’s Private VIP Tours?

As part of the VIP Tour Services  program, Disney offers Private VIP Tours as a way to fully maximize your Disney World experience.

Think of them as the ultimate Disney choose-your-own-adventure: you customize your own multi-park itinerary and then embark on your personalized dream adventure with practically no wait times at all.

You will receive an array of special perks including expedited door-to-door transportation to the parks, expedited entry onto most attractions of your choosing, and a knowledgeable Disney tour guide to accompany you at every step.

Here are some of the benefits:

  • Pre-arrival planning and customization
  • Explore the theme parks with your own personal Disney VIP Tour Guide
  • Expedited access onto your desired attractions for everyone in the group
  • Ability to visit multiple theme parks per day
  • VIP treatment including private vehicle transportation to and from your hotel
  • Special reserved viewing areas for parades, select stage shows, and nighttime spectaculars
  • Flexible start and end times (7-hour minimum)

Disney’s Private VIP Tours – Cost, Reservations, Services

Share VIP Tours

Cost of Disney Private VIP Tours

Disney VIP Tour Services offers several tours that are priced on a per-person basis. These include The Ultimate Day of Thrills VIP Tour , Ultimate Disney Classics VIP Tour , Ultimate Nights of Adventure VIP Tours ), and the Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Tour . We will discuss these tours later.

Disney’s Private VIP Tours , on the other hand, are not priced on a per-person basis. Instead, the cost of Private VIP Tours is based on an hourly rate for a group of up to 10 people.

Private VIP Tours Details

Here are some details of Disney World Private VIP Tours:

  • Depending on the season, tours will cost is between $450 and $900 per hour, per group ( not per person) — subject to change
  • A maximum allowance of 10 guests per Private VIP Tour
  • A minimum of 7 continuous hours is required per day
  • Valid admission is required for each theme park (not included as part of tour cost)
  • VIP Tour Services allows you to book up to 180 in advance (recommended)

While Disney’s Private VIP Tour s are the ultimate way to spoil yourself at Disney World, they’re also an easy way to spend cash.

Cost-Effective: Share a Private Disney VIP Tour w/ Friends and Family

As we mentioned, Disney allows your group to include up to 10 guests . This is an important detail because the 10 guest allowance opens up a lot of possibilities. By sharing Disney VIP Tours with other interested couples and families, you could effectively reduce a $3000 or $5250 overall expense down to as low as $300-$525 per person.

Sounding good! But how do you go about forming a group of up to 10 people?

For safety concerns, Disney doesn’t allow Disney travel agencies   (or any other organization) to match you up with random people to form a group of 10. In this day-in-age, these types of policies make sense because you never know who you will be matched up with!

That said, you can still form your own group – comprised of friends and family members – to reduce the cost per person.  So ask your friends, your aunt, your nephew, your favorite neighbor, or your co-workers. Who knows – they may just love the idea of taking a Private Disney VIP Tour with you…and saving money in the process!

Even if you don’t come up with a full 10 people, you will still save a significant amount of money if you just add a few more friends and family members to your Private VIP Tour.

For those interested in touring Disney's global collection of theme parks and many famous landmarks, the private jet tour by Adventures by Disney might be worthwhile. During this exclusive vacation, people will board a private jet filled with 75 Disney fans, taking off to begin their journey across six unique countries and theme parks. Experts within the Walt Disney Company have carefully curated this trip, and it is essentially their premier offering in terms of park touring.

On top of that, the 'Disney Parks Around The World' private jet adventure will also bring people to three famous landmarks: the Taj Mahal, the Pyramids of Giza, and the Eiffel Tower. So guests get to hang out in places like Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, and Disney World in Orlando: but they get to see the rest of the globe.

These Disney World hotels will also give people a magical vacation.

This adventure is longer, meaning travelers need to give 24 days for the experience. Most people aren't taking almost month-long vacations worldwide, so this is a special occasion. Luckily, those partaking in this once-in-a-lifetime trip will have a dedicated team of assistants and travel experts on board the plane, bringing them between the parks and iconic landmarks.

Disney World is magical for many reasons , so this trip will be much different than a regular vacation.

  • This private jet tour takes guests to six different countries.
  • Adventures by Disney also offers guests the chance to explore all 12 of their global theme parks.

Once someone books their ticket through Adventures by Disney , they will head to the first stop on the itinerary: Anaheim, California. Here, people will experience Disney's first theme park, Disneyland, and be treated to fine dining, express ride entry, and other perks while at the park. After being at Disneyland California for three days, guests fly to San Francisco to see The Walt Disney Family Museum Tour, Lucasfilm Campus Tour, and Summit Skywalker Ranch and have a special dinner.

From there, travelers fly to Tokyo, where they can visit Tokyo Disney Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea. After that, the private jet heads to Shanghai, where guests can experience Disney's Chinese theme park. The Asian division of The Walt Disney Company's theme parks is known to be incredibly fun and vibrant, so this offers a new perspective on the brand.

Next, guests are flown to Hong Kong Disneyland, where they can hang out in that theme park. There are special meals, local tours, and plenty of shopping opportunities between each park. The next stop after China is Agra, India, where guests of Adventures by Disney can see the Taj Mahal. After this, people are flown to the Great Pyramids of Giza, Disneyland Paris, and Orlando. This adventure ends at the brand's second US park, Walt Disney World.

Some consider Disney World in Orlando, Florida , the brand's best park: so what an excellent way to complete this 24-day adventure.

This entire adventure to Disney's global collection of theme parks comes at a steep price. As of 2023, the final cost for the trip is around $110,000 ($109,995, to be exact). This makes it one of Adventures by Disney's highest-costing trips, so it's certainly for a luxury clientele.

Fine dining at the Disney parks is also a perk of this vacation: which is included in the whopping total price.

Considering the vacation is 24 days long and spans six countries, some may consider this a fair price. Of course, with the premium price tag, guests can also expect some of Disney's best services. This might be a six-figure trip, but for a Disney lover: the price may not matter.

Another exciting idea for Disney fans is to stay in the Cinderella Castle here in Walt Disney World Orlando, although guests must be specially invited here from the park.

Pre-Trip Report: Disney Parks Around The World – A Private Jet Adventure Travel Kit

In less than two weeks, I’ll be off to see “A Whole New World” with Adventures by Disney  on their inaugural Disney Parks Around The World – A Private Jet Adventure  itinerary. As with my previous Adventures by Disney experience , I’ll be documenting the trip right here on Laughing Place. So let this serve as Trip Report 0, a pre-departure look at the Amenities Package that was delivered ahead of the trip.

disney private tour around the world

All of the luggage items are TUMI brand and have been customized with the Adventures by Disney logo. This includes an Alpha Bravo Search Backpack , a Continental Expandable Carry-On , and an Alpha Travel Kit . They each came nested inside a box.

disney private tour around the world

A letter was included with the mailer that also describes two other items that were inside, an iPad and a pair of Bose headphones.

disney private tour around the world

Included with the iPad is an Adventures by Disney case, the front of which folds to create a stand.

disney private tour around the world

The iPad I received is a 9th Generation model in Space Gray  with a 64 GB hard drive. It was quick and easy to set up. Per the recommendations, I downloaded Disney+ . Guests on the trip who don’t have a Disney+ subscription are given one for the adventure. I logged in and downloaded some content that will be relevant for the first several stops on the trip.

disney private tour around the world

The iPad will also be used as a visual aid during expert talks on board our flights. On this inaugural trip, the Special Adventure Host is Rebecca Cline, Director of the Walt Disney Archives . I’ve had the pleasure of hearing her presentations at various D23 events over the years and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us as we visit every Disney theme park around the world.

A pair of Bose QuietComfort 45 Wireless Bluetooth Noise Cancelling Headphones  were also included in the kit. Setting them up required an app download and they are now paired with my iPad.

disney private tour around the world

Unadvertised was a black metal water bottle with a screw-on lid with a strap. My understanding is that these water bottles are currently a standard gift for all Adventures by Disney Guests.

disney private tour around the world

The toiletry bag was filled with several items. A poncho, bug spray, sunscreen, Adventures by Disney branded hand sanitizer, and a case with three nesting international wallplugs. The memo mentioned that more amenities will be given to us later, with a mention of ear plugs and lip balm.

disney private tour around the world

Disney Parks Around The World – A Private Jet Adventure will be my second Adventures by Disney experience. As such, my bag also included a pin to commemorate that this is my second adventure. Speaking of pins, on my Japan trip , we were gifted a commemorative pin each day that corresponded to a destination or experience. Since this itinerary is only being offered once this year ( and twice next year ), I’m not sure if there will even be pins, let alone when we will receive them. Recently, Adventures by Disney has been mailing pins to Guests after their vacation rather than giving them out each day of the trip. But from what I’ve seen, that’s also when Guests receive their Adventures by Disney Insiders pin with the number of trips they’ve been on. Since that was sent in advance, I’m going in with the presumption that there won’t be custom pins for this trip.

disney private tour around the world

Prior to receiving this kit, I had my doctor complete a form Adventures by Disney requires that certifies that I am healthy enough for all of the activities on this trip. I also applied for a travel visa to visit India. And on select days, Guests have several optional activities which needed to be selected in advance. In general, we’ve opted for more park time to take advantage of the expedited access that this itinerary provides. The one exception will be Paris, a city I’ve yet to experience despite having been to Disneyland Paris twice.

(Disney)

I’m going to do my best to share daily trip reports. In the event that I get backlogged, I’ll try to catch up by condensing days into one report to get back on schedule. In particular, I expect that I will have limited internet access in China. But for now, here is an abbreviated breakdown of our travel schedule.

The crew on board the private jet will include a chef, three dedicated staff members and a physician. Guests will stay in Disney’s highest-tier resorts at each Disney destination and world-class, luxury hotels at their non-Disney destinations.

Private transportation, backstage parking and skipped lines: What it's really like on a Disney VIP tour

Summer Hull

As once smirked by "The Lion King's" villainous lion, Scar, "Life's not fair, is it?"

You see, even though all are welcome in the happy place that Walt built, not everyone waits in the same lines to ride Dumbo or Space Mountain. In fact, some barely wait in lines at all.

There's a way to experience Disney World without a hot trek through the parking lots or long waits for rides, but with perfect fireworks-viewing areas reserved just for you and with almost zero advance planning required. And on top of that, there's a way to get all-day access to a Disney expert with pockets full of pixie dust and keys to backstage shortcuts, who can guide you and troubleshoot any problems that arise.

This magic isn't a fictional fairytale or reserved for A-list stars. All of this (and more) is available to anyone willing to pay for the very real Disney VIP tour guides.

This small army of top-tier magic-makers is employed by Disney and can be spotted around the parks in their signature plaid vests whisking small groups of very fortunate guests into back entrances and to the front of the lines.

After waiting several hours to straddle a banshee and ride Avatar Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom, you may be desperate to know how you can have one of these Disney "magicians" whisk your group out of the sun and into the fun.

While I've done the three-hour wait to ride a banshee myself, I've also now experienced the magic of not waiting. Here's how the Disney VIP tours work and exactly how much magic you can actually squeeze out of the day when you say goodbye to the long waits.

What's a Disney VIP tour?

A private Disney VIP tour is kind of like having your own assigned Mouseketeer and personal set of keys to the kingdom.

While I'm sure they could give you a more traditional tour of Disney World if that's what you wanted, it's really not exactly a tour.

When you are on a Disney VIP tour, you've got your own official Disney guide who can plan your day, serve as your own unlimited human FastPass, drive you to and from your Disney resort and from park to park with cool and efficient backstage parking. Most people who buy a Disney VIP tour do it to skip the bulk of the lines and experience as much of the parks as possible in a short amount of time. This is why TPG's founder Brian Kelly purchased the VIP tour with his nieces and nephews for a one-day visit to Disney World.

disney private tour around the world

But it's not just the quicker ride access that is special. Even before you know you need it, the guides can also make bottles of water, rain ponchos and Mickey bars seemingly appear out of thin air.

These tours must be booked for a minimum of seven hours and you can have up to 10 people on the tour for the same hourly rate. Just don't have an 11th person because then you need a second guide and your cost doubles.

What we did on our Disney VIP tour

We gathered up exactly 10 Disney-loving friends and family members and booked a seven-hour VIP tour.

In the end, we went a bit over those initially planned seven hours as we had a few more things we wanted to do when the original time limit expired. In total, our tour was about eight and a half hours from start to finish.

We lost about 15 minutes on the front end when we couldn't find our youngest daughter's MagicBand as we were walking out the door and then had some forms to sign when we met up with the tour guide. In hindsight, we should have skipped looking for the band and done the forms in advance. We also lost some time for lunch -- more on that below.

disney private tour around the world

Counting transportation to and from our resort and the transfer between the two parks, we spent probably a little over an hour in transit. That means we had a bit under seven hours of true park experience to work with that translated into 16 attractions.

Here's how the time on our Disney VIP tour played out.

  • 10 a.m. Official start time.
  • 10:19 a.m. Depart Disney's Wilderness Lodge for the Magic Kingdom.
  • 10:26 a.m. Clear security through side-gate entrance with no line and park in a backlot to the side of Main Street, U.S.A.

disney private tour around the world

  • 10:29 a.m. Officially walk into the Magic Kingdom.
  • 10:33 a.m. Watch a cavalcade (aka a mini-parade) as it passed by the castle.
  • 10:40 a.m. Try to ride Pirates of the Caribbean, but it was down and would stay down much of the day.
  • 10:49 a.m. Ride No. 1 -- Magic Carpets of Aladdin.
  • 10:56 a.m. VIP guide got waters for everyone and "pixie dusted" my youngest with Dole Whip since her favorite ride, Pirates, didn't work out.

disney private tour around the world

  • 11:09 a.m. Ride No. 2 -- Splash Mountain.
  • 11:35 a.m. Ride No. 3 -- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
  • 11:55 a.m. Ride No. 4 -- Haunted Mansion.
  • 12:19 p.m. Ride No. 5 -- Peter Pan's Flight.
  • 12:26 p.m. Bathroom break and hunt for hidden Pascals near the "Tangled"-themed bathrooms at the request of my daughters.
  • 12:49 p.m. Ride No. 6 -- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
  • 1:03 p.m. Ride No. 7 -- Mad Tea Party.
  • 1:21 p.m. Ride No. 8 -- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
  • 1:42 p.m. Ride No. 9 -- Space Mountain.

disney private tour around the world

I ordered lunch in the Disney app by 1:10 p.m. but it wasn't actually ready until about 1:50 p.m. We weren't all done eating until about 2:10 pm., so while some in the group kept riding rides during that time, it also was a pretty inefficient part of the day for those who were scouting for tables and waiting for food. Waiting 40 minutes for chicken fingers and fries and fighting for a table isn't a great use of time when you are paying for a guide by the hour.

  • 2:17 p.m. Depart for Hollywood Studios.
  • 2:39 p.m. Arrive at Hollywood Studios and park in backstage parking near Tower of Terror.
  • 2:56 p.m. Ride No. 10 -- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
  • 3:11 p.m. Ride No. 11 -- Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.
  • 3:57 p.m. Ride No. 12 -- Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway.

disney private tour around the world

  • 4:21 p.m. Ride No. 13 -- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
  • 5:02 p.m. Ride No. 14 -- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
  • 5:28 p.m. Ride No. 15 -- Slinky Dog Dash.
  • 5:44 p.m. Ride No. 16 -- Toy Story Mania!
  • 6:24 p.m. Arrive back at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.

As you can tell by some of the time gaps between rides, you don't always have a zero-minute wait to ride. Some rides, such as Runaway Railway and Rise of the Resistance, still had a bit of waiting involved.

disney private tour around the world

At other times, such as with Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Aladdin and more, you essentially got to walk right up to the start of the ride.

It's worth a mention that we didn't need to compete with thousands of other guests at 7 a.m. for a Rise of the Resistance boarding pass, as one ride without a pass is included with the tour.

The VIP tour is really at a huge advantage right now as waits for most rides on this day were over an hour. And since FastPass has not yet returned to Disney World, there weren't many others in the FastPass line.

The guide, Annie, and I chatted about what we would do next and adjusted plans on the fly.

As the afternoon Florida rain came and some attractions were temporarily unavailable, we'd adjust plans again. When she'd pose a ride that we didn't want to do (like "It's a small world"), it was no big deal and we kept on going to the next thing. She was available to go on rides with us (which was really fun as she knew some awesome "secrets") and she was also available to skip the ride and do other things while we rode, such as order water or hold a bag.

While we did our tour during the day, the tour guide can let you access special, reserved VIP viewing of fireworks if you do it in the evening. And while we only went to two parks in one day, you can go to all four if you want. It's essentially your time to use however you please.

What does a Disney VIP tour cost?

Here's the bad news. A Disney VIP tour costs $425 to $750 per hour, depending on the season. And that's on top of your park admission tickets, which aren't included withe the tour.

There's no way to know exactly what your tour will cost without calling 407-560-4033 or working with a Disney vacation planner as we did. You can only book the tours 60 days in advance and they do sell out, so plan ahead. Remember, you need to book at least seven hours, so the minimum price for a Disney VIP tour will be $2,975 for up to 10 people. You can do a tour for up to 10 hours, so while the minimum price is $2,975, a 10-hour tour in super peak season could set you back a staggering $7,500.

On our July date, the tour was $550 per hour and we spent a total of $3,850 on the initially planned seven hours. (And sadly, this did not code as a travel charge, so use the credit card that awards you the most on everyday spending -- I went with my Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card to earn 2 miles per dollar on the charge.)

With our added time, the grand total came to $4,675 before the tip. That's $467.50 per person on our tour, if you want to think of it that way. ( In terms of the tip, while it is at your discretion, this is a Disney position that can accept cash tip. It's common to go with 15 - 20% of the amount of your tour or tip the equivalent of one hour. )

While not all 10 people did every single ride, I'm going to assume they did here for simpler math since they all had the opportunity.

At $467.50 per person, given that we did 16 rides, that's kind of like spending $29.21 per "FastPass" access. That's not exactly a fair way to look at it as there were plenty of other perks to the tour including the door-to-door transportation, awesome insider knowledge from the guide herself, etc., but it's a decent starting point.

Additionally, throughout the tour, our group was given about 25 bottles of water ($3.50 each), 10 Mickey bars ($5.50 each), 10 rain ponchos ($12 each), one stroller rental ($15) and a cup of Dole Whip ($5). We were also each given a special Disney VIP tour pin which you technically can't buy, but we'll put the price at about $12, which is in line with the cost of other Disney pins.

disney private tour around the world

The retail price for buying those goodies on your own at Disney is around $402.50, or $40.25 per person. If you factor that out of the total cost, the cost for quick access drops a little from $29.21 to $26.70 per person per ride.

Obviously, if you didn't stop for lunch, started right on time and moved at a quicker pace than our group, then you probably could have a higher ride total. You could even start right in the park if you don't want transportation and squeeze in more rides that way, too.

Related: These are the best restaurants at Disney World

But our goal wasn't to rack up ride totals for the sake of impressive math, it was to enjoy the heck out of the rides we love the most with the friends and family we've missed too much over the last year and a half. And while you could argue using time getting picked up and dropped off at our resort was a waste, with 10 people ranging from 6 to 70 years of age, it sure didn't feel that way.

Bottom line

There's absolutely no way we would have done those 16 rides in eight and a half hours on our own. Given what crowds and wait times were like at Disney during our trip , it's unlikely we would have done half that number on our own. Even if we had, it wouldn't have been predominately the headlining rides.

It's not necessary to spend a small fortune on a VIP tour to have a great time at Walt Disney World.

I've successfully been to the park dozens of times and never before had a Disney VIP tour guide at the ready. Timing your visit during the less busy days, being at the park when it opens (which is before it says it opens), doing rides during fireworks and close to closing time are also great ways to pack more attractions into your day without spending more money.

However, right now with the high crowd levels and no other FastPass options, if there was ever a time to rally a group of friends and go for it on a planned upcoming trip, there's no doubt the VIP treatment dramatically increased the enjoyment factor for our group.

Private VIP Tour at Walt Disney World

Your guide to walt disney world’s most expensive and exclusive tour – a private vip tour .

Through our travel agency (Wish Upon a Star with Us Travel) Brittany and I, along with her parents, were able to take a private Walt Disney World VIP tour. We had the most amazing experience and want to share all of the details with you!

Our Disney World VIP Tour

What is a Private VIP Tour?

A VIP tour is a private guided tour at Walt Disney World. A VIP Tour will take your experience to the next level. It includes a first class level of service, skipping the lines and getting whisked away in a luxury vehicle; all with your own private guide for the day. Entrances to the parks and waiting in line for attractions? Don’t worry about those! Your guide will escort you through private entrances to select rides and drop you off “behind the scenes”. This allows you to save time when moving around the parks AND makes you feel like a VIP.

Have you ever wondered how the Hollywood elite visit Disneyland and Walt Disney World? Well this is it!

The Basics:

  • Completely customized itinerary for your family
  • Highly Knowledgeable Disney VIP Tour Guide
  • Flexible start time with a minimum time required (see below)
  • Backstage access
  • Ability to skip the lines for just about any experience at Walt Disney World
  • Private vehicle to take you where you please
  • Private VIP access to special firework viewing areas

VIP Tours Include:

  • Pre-planning services
  • Skip the line access
  • Transportation once your tour starts
  • VIP guide
  • Some snacks and bottled water

VIP Tours Do Not Include:

  • Park Tickets
  • Parking

 Things to Know

  • All VIP tours require a valid theme park ticket and a Park Pass reservation. If you plan on doing multiple parks in your VIP tour, you will need to have a Park Hopper ticket. Upon arrival at your first park of the day you will scan your ticket/MagicBand and be set for the rest of the day!
  • All private VIP tours have a minimum tour duration of 7 continuous hours. You can add extra time onto this, up to a maximum of 10 hours.
  • Private Disney World VIP tours allow up to 10 guests per guide including infants. If your party is larger than that, you will need to book a second VIP tour guide.

How much does a Private VIP tour cost at Walt Disney World?

The prices change depending on the season, but guests can expect to pay $425 to $850 an hour. During peak travel times (like the winter holidays and spring break) expect that price to be at or near the top. If you want to keep costs on that lower end, we recommend traveling during non-peak times. Prices can vary by the week, but we generally recommend September, January, and February as some good off-peak times.

  • Do I need to tip my Disney VIP Tour Guide?

You are not required to tip, but it is customary. The general recommendation would be to tip 10-20% of your tour cost.

  • The level of service you will experience on a Disney World VIP tour is second to none. The day is designed around you and your family. If you want to ride Dumbo all day, then that is what your guide is going to make happen. Want to get from one section of the park to another? Backstage entrances and otherwise Cast Member-only areas become your golden ticket to getting across the parks effortlessly. That gets you to riding your next attraction quickly!

Our Disney VIP Tour Experience

Our Disney World VIP Tour

During our VIP tour we chose to visit 3/4 parks. We felt like we got to do so much because of how fast we got to attractions! Our guide picked us up at the Polynesian, where we were staying. He escorted us to a black SUV that was waiting to whisk us away. This is something I had never experienced at Walt Disney World before! I will warn you, once you experience a Disney VIP tour you won’t want to go back to the normal way of experiencing the parks! These tours will change the way you want to experience the parks going forward.

Being the Disney veterans we are, we knew exactly which rides we wanted to hit and the order. If you are family that hasn’t experienced Walt Disney World or maybe has not been in quite some time, a VIP guide is right there ready to help make recommendations. Not only that, but throw out that park map; your guide is going to escort you in the quickest way possible to those rides so there is no worry about navigating the parks. This is extremely helpful to my traveling families, especially those who worry about missing something during their visit to Walt Disney World.

Hollywood Studios

We headed to Hollywood Studios first, where we were dropped off at the back side of Sunset Boulevard. We were greeted by Cast Members holding baskets full of snacks for us! Chocolate, starbursts, chips, you name it! They also scanned our MagicBands for entry to the park. We grabbed some snacks and bottled water and headed into Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster through a back entrance. The first time walking into a Disney park not through a main entrance is a surreal experience, one I hope many of you get to experience firsthand for yourselves. No photos are allowed in any of these backstage areas so it’s not something many ever get to see.

After doing the highlights at Hollywood Studios, we headed over to Epcot. We hopped back in our SUV and entered through a backstage area near Test Track. Ever wondered how they fix up those cars? A lot of it is done right there behind the ride. We could see them working on some of the cars in their own little shops! After Test Track, we exited once again and drove to a back entrance of the World Showcase to ride Frozen. It’s pretty cool to get to see what the other side of the parks look like. During these tours, you really do get to see how Disney makes some of the magic come to life. Again we drove instead of walking across the park to get to Soarin’, getting to see yet another backstage area.

Animal Kingdom

After leaving Epcot, we ended our day with going over to Animal Kingdom. Our plan was to finish out our tour with a ride on Kilimanjaro Safari and Flight of Passage. We actually ended up having time to do Flight of Passage twice! When our guide parked near Festival of the Lion King, we got to see yet another backstage area. We even saw some performers doing their warm ups for the show! All throughout the day, our guide also shared tips and fun facts with us.

Ready to Plan a Walt Disney World VIP Tour?

All in all, we had probably the most magical day at Walt Disney World we could have ever asked for. There was no stress, no planning, no worry. With how much planning I do for my clients on a daily basis, I can definitely say this is by far the best way to experience a truly-hassle free day at Walt Disney World.

If those price points aren’t in your budget but you still want an expert’s help in planning your amazing visit to Walt Disney World, you can fill out a contact form here . Whether or not you are planning to do a VIP tour, we strongly encourage having a Travel Advisor in your corner. We help with all the other details, like selecting the perfect resort for your family, transportation, park details, and will even help with setting up your VIP tour itself. I help hundreds of families a year make the most of their vacations and I want to help you do the same! My planning services are complimentary for all guests who book through their trip with me.
