Announcing 2024 summer tour.

dave gorman tour 2024

We are excited to announce DMB’s 2024 summer tour beginning on May 22 in Tampa, FL. The headline run will bring the band back to many favorite venues, including Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, WI, Broadview Stage at SPAC in Saratoga Springs, NY and The Gorge in George, WA on Labor Day weekend. With the summer tour, Dave Matthews Band will be introducing new sustainability measures as part of its “On The Road To Zero Waste” initiative – a partnership with Live Nation.

An online ticket presale for members of the DMB Warehouse Fan Association is underway.  Click here to join the Warehouse.

Citi is the official card of the Dave Matthews Band 2024 tour. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning Tuesday, February 13 th , at 9 am local time until Thursday, Feb 15 th , at 10 pm local time through the Citi Entertainment program. For complete presale details visit  www.citientertainment.com .

General on sale for tickets begins on February 16 th at 10 am local venue time. For the complete itinerary, see below or visit http://www.davematthewsband.com /tours.

This summer, the band is partnering with Live Nation’s operated venues to minimize the concerts’ footprint – with the goal to divert at least 90% of fan-generated waste from landfills.  Leveraging its existing leading sustainability resources, Live Nation will support the concerts’ goal by providing zero waste green teams, zero waste stations, food donations, waste sorting, composting and the use of minimal single-use plastic.

This year’s continued partnership with The Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees campaign will bring the total to five million trees planted since DMB teamed up with TNC in 2020 to support reforestation.  For additional details, visit www.dmbtrees.org .

Dave Matthews Band will offset carbon emissions for band/fan travel with the assistance of REVERB, who will also produce the tour’s annual eco-village.

Review: Dave Gorman - Powerpoint to the People at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall

Every joke and witty comment had the audience in stitches

Comedian Dave Gorman on tour with his new Powerpoint To The People stand-up show

I had been looking forward to Dave Gorman's tour coming to Nottingham for months and he did not disappoint. I don't think I have ever laughed as hard or for as long as I did on Friday, November 5, during Gorman's Powerpoint to the People tour at the Royal Concert Hall.

I don't want to spoil it for anyone who is still lucky enough to see the show for the first time, but it was absolutely brilliant and reminded me yet again why Gorman is one of my favourite UK comedians. Everything was so well planned, every joke and witty comment had the audience in stitches, and if that wasn't enough his well prepared PowerPoint slides would surely have you in uncontrollable laughter at one point or another.

Even some of the general comments Gorman mentioned at the start led to big laughs later on, and the audience left feeling as if they shared a million inside jokes with the brilliant comedian. From real life humour to cryptic crosswords and from being a parent to celebrity news, there was something for everyone throughout the evening.

During Gorman's piece on sliding door moments the audience were in fits of laughter, but nothing can compare when he revealed his mum's unexpected answer about Carol, and her unfortunate mishap with an actual sliding door. Even Gorman needed a couple of minutes to gather himself on stage, as even though we all found it hilarious, he explained it was even funnier for himself as he knows Carol.

There were so many brilliant moments throughout the entire set, but I can confidently say I left contemplating whether or not I need to try my hand at cryptic crossword puzzles and whether Janes are the new Karens. Another top highlight of the night was how well Gorman made use of his green screen costume at the beginning, which kept appearing throughout the night for further laughs.

It felt like every detail had been thought of, and it was all new and original material. You could tell the audience really appreciated how honest some of the jokes were, often at the expense of Gorman.

He regularly included the audience in his jokes, and even gave one lucky audience member a trophy for clapping the hardest in the first act. Although sometimes people may think he goes off on a tangent, it's always linked back perfectly, and if not it is usually a hilariously entertaining tangent he goes off on. Whether you have never heard of Gorman or have seen him perform a dozen times before, it really is a show worth seeing.

Dave Gorman: Powerpoint To The People

Dave Gorman, the man behind Dave TV's hit show Modern Life Is Goodish as well as Are You Dave Gorman? and Googlewhack Adventure, is back on the road with a brand new live show, Powerpoint To The People The 'high priest of the comedy Powerpoint talk' (The Times) is touring again - as much as anything to demonstrate that a powerpoint presentation doesn't have to involve a man in a grey suit standing behind a lectern and saying 'next slide please'. We've all had enough of that, so let's put it all behind us and never speak of it again - there are far more important things to analyse. Well... they're more important in Dave's head anyway.

Dave Gorman to return to TV

'I can't tell you what they're called or who they're for...'

Dave Gorman is making a return to TV.

Details of his new show are under wraps, but he will be doing some work-in-progress gigs next month to shape the programmes.

In an email to fans, he explained: ‘Well, this is exciting. Unfortunately it's so exciting that a man in a suit won't let me tell you all of it - so, with apologies for being a click-tease, here's the bit I can tell you:

‘I'm in the process of making some more telly shows. I can't tell you what they're called or who they're for... but I can tell you that I'm getting the band back together. And when I say 'band', I mean, my laptops, screen and clickers. Because it's me doing stand up. Simple.

‘As with previous projects, being at a desk, making powerpoint only gets me so far... to shape it, I need to get on stage with it. And so we've put a few warm up dates together.’

Gorman’s last TV show was the panel show Terms and Conditions Apply for Dave in 2019, which came after four years and 36 episodes of his PowerPoint-led stand-up show  Modern Life Is Goodish for the same channel.

The comic pulled the plug on that show because of the workload, saying that in the final three weeks before taping a pair of episodes, he would work for more than 100 hours a week finalising the scripts and the accompanying presentations.

More recently he has become a setter of cryptic crosswords. For The Independent he uses the pseudonym Bluth, in the Daily Telegraph he is 'Django' and in  The Guardian, Fed.

The first three work-in-progress shows for his next project will be at the Cambridge Junction on July  15, 17 and 20 and tickets are on sale from the venue now.
