Peter pan trailer 2023.

They described it as ‘Panto meets Cirque’. And Blackpool Gazette editor Vanessa Sims reveals it didn’t disappoint.

“Boy George arrived on stage to huge applause, in a life size galleon wearing his trademark eyeliner and huge hat. When he belted out Karma Chameleon – it was clear to see he was in his element.

The big budget extravaganza was a real crowd pleaser. Peter Pan aka Jordan Conway was fabulous. He was funny, slapstick and engaging. And his aerial acrobatics were very impressive.

Wendy was also brilliant. Her rendition of ‘My Heart Will Go On’ while being attacked by pirates with cream pies was faultless.

peter pan arena tour

I enjoyed how the stars interacted with the audience and the cackles of laughter from the young crowd was nothing short of heart-warming.

The show featured cirque performers, dazzling aerial stunts, and most impressively a giant battle where the audience throws cannonballs at Hook and his ship.”

“For great family-fun I would recommend this show for you.”

Simply Theatre UK - ‘Absolutely Spectacular'

“I loved this Panto, it had everything you’d want in a panto from slosh scenes to innuendo and Boy George galore! The set was really clever they used a huge LED Screen and also a LIFE-SIZED Pirate Ship.

The highlight of the show was definitely watching Boy George sing Karma Chameleon as it’s not everyday you’d see Boy George in a Pantomime playing Captain Hook singing all the Greatest Culture Club Songs.

My favourite character was Samuel Fogell who played Smee, he was so good with the kids and just seems like a natural born comic.

All the Aerial, Straps and Hoop acts through the performance were mesmerising, sitting on the edge of your seats.”

About The Show

This big budget extravaganza adaptation of J.M Barrie's much-loved tale Peter Pan promises a spectacular spin on the timeless classic adventure.

Boy George says: "I'm really looking forward to playing Captain Hook and showing off my evil side! I make my first entrance on a life size galleon that sails around the stage in front of an amazing water-wall fountain. Although the show has traditional pantomime elements, it is so much more, being a mix of cirque and spectacular event ? and I get a chance to fight a giant animatronic crocodile. What's not to like?"

The show will bring Hollywood glamour by featuring the stage debut of Dorit Kemsley playing the mermaid. Known across the globe from the celebrated "Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills" tv show, Dorit said "I am so excited to work with George who is a dear friend and god-father to my children Jagger and Phoenix, who will also be in the show as part of Peter Pan's gang. Prior filming commitments mean Dorit can't appear in Liverpool and Cardiff, but her debut will be featured in her RHOBH tv show."

The cast of fifty includes a dozen cirque performers, dazzling aerial stunts, a giant battle where the audience throw cannonballs at Hook's ship and a death-defying escape from a locked water tank by rising comedy star Jordan Conway playing Peter Pan, plus a large troupe of Irish and Highland dancers.

The production has fabulous animated digital sets and is an immersive experience of magic and wonderment. Producer Jon Conway adds: "I am thrilled to be working with Boy George, surely one of the most iconic stars of all time, who will make this production stylish and unique. We use every square inch of the stage and auditorium to deliver a massive production both breath-taking and hilarious. Two huge LED screens make sure nobody ever misses any of the action."

BROADWAY'S TIMELESS TALE WHISKS YOU AWAY TO NEVERLAND Based on J.M. Barrie's classic tale,  PETER PAN  is one of the most beloved family favorites of all time. This high-flying Tony Award®-winning musical has been performed around the world and delighted audiences for 60 years! Peter and his mischievous fairy sidekick, Tinkerbell, visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night and, with a sprinkle of pixie dust, begin a magical journey across the stars that none of them will ever forget. In the adventure of a lifetime, the travelers come face to face with a ticking crocodile, a fierce tribe of Lost Boys, a band of bungling pirates and, of course, the villainous Captain Hook. Featuring the iconic songs, "I'm Flying," "I've Gotta Crow," "I Won't Grow Up" and "Never Never Land," as well as a rousing story full of magic, warmth and adventure,  PETER PAN  is the perfect show for the child in all of us... who dreamed of soaring high and never growing up.

Look inside Peter Pan's Never Land pitched for Disneyland expansion

M ay 31—The world's first Peter Pan-themed land set to debut at the Tokyo Disneyland resort offers a glimpse of what the future could hold for Disneyland over the next few decades under a reimagined long-term vision for the Anaheim theme park district.

Peter Pan's Never Land has been pitched as a possible project for the DisneylandForward theme park expansion plan recently approved by the city of Anaheim.

The new Peter Pan's Never Land officially debuts on June 6 at Tokyo DisneySea following an extended soft opening.

ALSO SEE: Look inside Tangled land pitched for Disneyland expansion

Peter Pan's Never Land will be part of Fantasy Springs, the newest port set to debut at Tokyo DisneySea that also features Rapunzel's Forest and Frozen Kingdom. Visitors will enter Fantasy Springs through an archway surrounded by rockwork representing Peter Pan, Rapunzel, Anna and Elsa.

ALSO SEE: First look at Avatar themed land proposed for Disneyland

The backstory for Peter Pan's Never Land finds visitors joining the now gender-neutral Lost Kids on a fun-loving adventure stretching from Pixie Hollow to Captain Hook's pirate ship.

ALSO SEE: Look inside Frozen land pitched for Disneyland expansion

The marquee attraction is Peter Pan's Never Land Adventure 3D dark ride where our mission is to help Peter, Tink and the Lost Kids rescue John from Captain Hook and his band of pirates. Along the way we encounter Wendy, Michael and the mermaids before finally reaching Hook's Jolly Roger ship for a swashbuckling showdown.

Riders board 12-seat boats sprinkled with a hefty dose of fairy dust courtesy of Tinker Bell and take off through the sky on a six minute epic journey.

ALSO SEE: Disneyland commits $1.9 billion for theme park expansion

Walt Disney Imagineering combined motion base ride vehicles with 3D effects, custom animation and practical sets to create the sense of flight on the new dark ride.

Fairy Tinker Bell's Busy Buggies, the second attraction in Never Land, sends riders around Pixie Hollow with Tink as she delivers gifts to her fellow fairies.

The Busy Buggies queue is filled with larger-than-life flowers, mushrooms, paint brushes and nibbled cheese to create the illusion riders have been shrunk to the size of a fairy.

Riders climb into wicker baskets with seat backs made from envelopes for a two-minute ride through the fairy valley on ride vehicles with spinning bases.

"Fairy Tinker Bell's Busy Buggies is an outdoor track ride that might give Disneyland resort fans in California flashbacks to Heimlich's Chew Chew Train," according to Theme Park Insider. "Again, you're shrunk to a small size for a tour around common objects that now appear super-sized."

The Lookout Cookout counter service restaurant assembled from a salvaged shipwreck is themed as the Lost Kids' hideout, complete with comfy hammocks and hastily strewn pajamas.

The Lost Kids Snack Box on the menu comes with chicken tenders, seaweed fritters, shrimp chips and banana chips.

The signature drink: A kiwi-flavored Pixie Dust Soda with a gold star floating on top that dissolves with a silver sparkling effect.

The Never Land Popcorn Wagon will serve an exclusive roast beef flavor with black pepper seasoning and gravy aromas available only in Fantasy Springs.

Peter Pan's Never Land was among the possible projects floated in the DisneylandForward expansion plan approved by the Anaheim City Council in early May that updates a 1990s city plan to allow for a mix of theme park, hotel, retail, dining and entertainment on the eastern and western edges of the Disneyland resort.

DisneylandForward dangled 10 themed lands based on Peter Pan, Tangled, Avatar, Frozen, Zootopia, Toy Story, Black Panther, Coco, Tron and Encanto as potential expansion projects in Anaheim.

The rooms and halls of the Grand Peterhof Palace

#Attractions #Museums #Peterhof #Peter I #Sightseeing

The Grand Palace along with the large fountain cascade in front of it is the main attraction of Peterhof and architectural dominant of the whole Palace and Park complex. In XVII – XIX centuries the Grand Peterhof Palace was the main ceremonial residence of Russian tsars, which hosted important events and celebrations, receptions, balls and masquerades. This monumentally looking building has about 30 rooms inside.

The Grand Staircase

The Guest Entrance was arranged in the Western part of the building and involved the Grand staircase created by Bartolomeo Rastrelli in 1751.  The decoration of the Grand staircase included gilded statues and carved bouquets, caryatids and rocaille (that is made in the Rococo style) cartouches. The staircase leads guests to the enfilade which is a series of state rooms for official purposes.

• The Chesma hall is a waiting room located in front of the Throne room were officials were waiting for the start of the reception. Paintings by the German painter Jacob Hackert serve as the main decoration of the hall. They depict the most dramatic episodes of the Chesma battle in which Russian fleet headed by count Alexei Orlov defeated Turkish fleet.

• The Throne room is the most spacious one, designed for receptions, balls and concerts, with an overall area of 330 sq.m. Originally this hall shone in its splendor, but in 1777 it was decorated in a classic and more modest style under the project of Yury Felten

• The Audience room was intended for small receptions of the Empress Elizabeth. The design was done by Rastrelli and became one of the best works of the architect.

“According to a legend, Elizabeth ordered Rastrelli to use as much gold in the room design as possible, because the apartment was used for the reception of noble merchants representatives, who, in the opinion of the Empress, admired gold”

• In the eighteenth century The Dance hall was known as The Merchants hall and its spacious area of 270 sq.m. occupied most of the Western half of the Grand Peterhof Palace. The windows are arranged in two tiers here and numerous mirrors and paintings are used as decorations. Parquet is made of dark and light oak, maple and walnut. According to a legend, Elizabeth ordered Rastrelli to use as much gold in the room design as possible, because the apartment was used for the reception of noble merchants representatives, who, in the opinion of the Empress, admired gold.

• White dining room was meant for festive meals and was originally designed by Bartolomeo Rastrelli. In 1774 – 1775, Yuri Felten significantly changed the hall – the new style was the complete opposite of the previous one. Instead of the gloss of gold the interior was decorated in strict classical canons. In the center of the room there is a huge table, covered with a white tablecloth and a 30 persons porcelain set, created by the famous English master Josiah Wedgwood.

• The Painting hall is the oldest one: it was designed during the life of Peter I. It is decorated with tapestries by French masters and 16 paintings by Italian artists. Originally Nicolo Michetti and Jean-Baptiste Leblond took part in creation of the room design, but later, in the middle of the XVIII century, the hall was changed by the project of Rastrelli.

The Throne Room

Ceremonial halls are followed by the rooms of the private half, which was accessible only to a circle of confidants. It housed bedrooms, private offices and salons, designed again by Bartolomeo Rastrelli. The abundance of gilding, mirrors and paintings, suspended symmetrical arches with plafond paintings and parquet floors made of precious wood – all these details create a festive atmosphere.

Currently, the Grand Peterhof Palace is a unique Museum of history and art, whose contains about three and a half thousand exhibits, including paintings and porcelain, fabrics, unique furniture and personal belongings of the Russian rulers.
