Looking for a holiday in Egypt but not sure which adventure to choose? Take a look through our top Egypt holiday reviews to get the inside info from our very own Intrepid travellers.

About Egypt

Despite Egypt’s ongoing political and social upheaval, it remains one of the most captivating destinations in the Middle East and on earth, and is more welcoming than ever to travellers who want to uncover the secrets of its ancient culture. The iconic history of Egypt is imprinted on every single mind throughout modern history; since Howard Carter revealed Tutankhamen’s tomb in 1921, the Pyramids and surrounding relics have been cause for many an adventurer’s pilgrimage. It’s one of the few destinations that taps into the deep yearning within us to connect with an ancient human past, and is a must-see bucket list item for many. Combined with the experience of cruising down the Nile on a Felucca, and watching the sunrise from a desert camp beneath a blanket of stars, a holiday in Egypt is a mesmerising adventure from start to finish.

Nile Jewel - 5* Cruise

I cannot even begin to explain how happy we were with this tour. From the moment we booked, the company was extremely accommodating and responsive, answering all of our questions and helping us make additional arrangements for extra nights, tours, etc. There was some safety concerns going into it, but once we arrived we never felt unsafe. Everything was executed flawlessly. The moment we landed in Cairo they had everything under control, from meeting us at the airport and helping us get our visas and exchange our money until it was time to catch our flight home.. they didn't miss a beat. We laughed to ourselves a few times because it seemed they had anticipated what we were going to need before we even asked about it. We had a great group and our guide, Ramez, was a walking Wikipedia of Egyptian history. Having someone with that amount of knowledge really elevated the entire experience and made us appreciate what we were seeing even more. I'm not going to lie, I was exhausted by the end of it. 😆 But it was 100% worth it. This definitely wasn't a vacation, it was an adventure - and one I'd do all over again.

Egypt Highlights Tour

Egypt Highlights

We started our egypt tour on February 25,2024 and ended on March 5th. Nile river cruise was quite impressive which i highly recommended. Every place we've visited was stunning. We were lucky to joy small group, only 10 of us from 5 different countries which we got along very well. About your company, your operations are very well organized. Our tour guide Ramez was very knowledgeable. We've learned about Egyptian culture and history in such short period of time. Ramez was quite exceptional tour guide. He welcomed us as part of his family. We felt comfortable and safe and were well taken care of. This trip was joyful and exceeded my expectation. We will recommend and continue using your services in the future.

The Egyptian tour was excellent. We visited many very interesting tombs, temples, pyramids, museums, etc. Our guide was extremely knowledgable of Egyptian history. My tour was in May and was hot! I recommend to bring a lithium rechargeable hand-held fan! A hat and sunglasses are must haves. The hotels were very nice. In Cairo, we stayed at the Sonesta hotel. I highly recommend a visit to the Carrefour market (about 0.4 miles away in the Meraki Complex) to stock up on affordable snacks and drinks. VERY. MUCH LESS expensive then you will find elsewhere. There are also a number of nice restaurants in the complex as well.

4 Days 3 nights 5 stars Nile Cruise Aswan to Luxor Tour

4 Days 3 nights 5 stars Nile Cruise Aswan to Luxor

Sehr gut organisiert. Klare Weiterempfehlung.

Growing up, I've never wanted to visit any country more than I wanted to visit Egypt and so I booked this tour. I was focused on seeing the sights but boy oh boy, did i get more than what I bargained for with Meena M as my tour guide. I think I got the premium package! The tour itself was well organized and Meena was THE perfect tour guide. Sharing himself and his wealth of knowledge in such a way that completely engaged the group. From the history of Egypt, to the group pics with the crazy faces, to dealing with our antics (his patience) and everything else in between. Meena did not miss a beat! Timeless Tours and Meena get 5 stars from me! This tour was an experience of a lifetime!

Discover Egypt, Pyramids & Nile cruise 5* Included Internal Flights Tour

Discover Egypt, Pyramids & Nile cruise 5* Included Internal Flights

Our trip to Egypt, from November 26th to December 4th, organized by Truly Egypt Tours, was a captivating journey through time and history. We explored a range of incredible sites, expertly guided by our knowledgeable guides, Naser and Medhat. Our adventure began in Cairo on November 26th with Egyptologist Naser, whose passion for Egypt's rich history was truly infectious. We visited the awe-inspiring pyramids, where the grandeur of ancient Egypt came to life. Naser provided detailed explanations that offered deep insights into the engineering and artistry of these iconic structures. Our visit to the National Museum was equally captivating, as we delved into the treasures and stories of Egyptian civilization. The heart of our journey was the nights spent on a boat cruising from Aswan to Luxor, guided by Medhat. His exceptional knowledge enriched our experience as we explored sites like the Philae Temple and the grand Abu Simbel Temple. Medhat's narratives vividly brought the history of Ramses II to life. We want to emphasize the role of our guide Medhat, whose energy and enthusiasm enhanced every moment of our Egypt experience. He thoughtfully planned our daily itineraries, often taking us to sites early in the morning to avoid crowds and ensure a hassle-free experience. We never minded waking up early because we trusted in Medhat's expertise. He made multiple adjustments to ensure we could see all the places we wanted, even accommodating a delayed flight from Cairo to visit the Aswan Dam. Medhat's patience allowed us to take numerous photos and examine architectural details at our own pace. His storytelling and comprehensive knowledge of Egypt's history made each location come to life. His friendly demeanor, good sense of humor, and eagerness to share his expertise made our journey both educational and incredibly enjoyable. We always felt that our comfort and peace of mind were his top priorities. Our journey continued with visits to the Kom Ombo and Edfu temples, where Medhat's expertise illuminated the significance and symbolism within these ancient walls. The Luxor Temple and the vast Karnak Temple Complex were highlights, showcasing the architectural brilliance of ancient Egyptians. The visit to the Valley of the Kings was a surreal experience. Exploring the tombs of Ramses V, Ramses IX, and Merneptah, we felt a profound connection to the past. Medhat's guidance through these sacred spaces was invaluable, as he shared insights into the beliefs and rituals of the pharaohs. Our trip concluded with the mesmerizing Cleopatra Temple, providing a fitting end to our exploration of Egypt's ancient wonders. Throughout our journey, Truly Egypt Tours provided impeccable accommodations and services. The boat was both comfortable and elegant, offering stunning views of the Nile and the surrounding landscapes. The meals, a blend of local and international cuisine, were delightful. In conclusion, our Egyptian adventure with Truly Egypt Tours was a dream come true. The combination of Naser and Medhat's expertise, the carefully planned itinerary, and the breathtaking sights of Egypt made this an unforgettable experience. We wholeheartedly recommend Truly Egypt Tours to anyone wishing to explore the wonders of Egypt in depth.

There were a lot of extra costs that think would be better included. Too much time spent travelling but that was what I signed up for so not criticising you guys but would not recommend to a friend for that reason. Hotel in Cairo very average in terms of rooms but service helpful. Camel ride was a bit of a joke given it’s brevity. I found the food generally disappointing in Egypt as too westernised, the best meals as far as I am concerned were definitely the ones with families and on the felucca

Amazing Tour. they were very flexible when we wanted to change what we were doing on the last day. the tour guides, Nasser and Muhammed were excellent. their knowledge was very comprehensive and more importantly, they always put our needs first so they were very empathetic. Nasser was very concerned to make sure that my Mum was happy and looked after. and Muhammed was happy to just chill out with us and share some amazing stories. they are a credit to the tour company.

To Whom it may concern, this letter is being sent to issue the award for EXCELLANCE. my name is Oweda " Weasy " Gerald. my family, son Andrew " Dru " Gerald and daughter Rachel " Rae " Gerald selected Egypt for our family vacation. our transportation was ready and waiting for us @ the airport. we arrived on a late flight. We missed the meet and greet session. we were escorted to our room and received a call to return to the lobby. Mudi was there waiting to give us 3 the " meet and greet " we developed a fast friendship because he returned back to the hotel just for us. he escorted us to the dinning room where we had a pleasant interaction. also informed that we were waiting for another couple who arrived after us. we dined and received our morning instruction. By day 3 , our group became so close that we named our group " the Mudies ". ( of course I adopted him on the spot !!!! ) the following information are acts of kindness shown to group members that were only made public by those who receive great love and selflessness . this is Mudi . 1.) he made arrangement for a couple's lost luggage to be waiting for them when we arrived @ a tour destination. 2.) my late mothers camera slid out of my pocket , got stuck between bus seats on tour bus.my Kids mentioned it to Mudi. my camera was waiting for me @ the next hotel. 3.) one of our group members arrived ill and Mudi took him straight to the hospital , stayer with him and got all his prescription medication. once his health care services were complete , Mudi brought him to the hotel. We have traveled to all continents except the south pole over the years and Mudi is , by far the most AWESOME and WONDERFUL guide EVER. I saved the best for last. our farewell dinner happened to fall on my 62nd birthday. no one know but my children. guess what ??? I had a surprise party there on the spot with singing and dancing !! Mudi gave group attention as well as one-on-one attention. this is why he should be recognized as the tour guide of the year or of the century !! His devout and loving dedication to us and those before us should earn him this great honor. Respectfully Submitted, the entire Gerald Family.

You would be lucky to have Mina, he is an excellent guide! Mina is very knowledgeable in the history of Egypt and was able to answer all my questions. I never realized how many kings and and queens there was and it was fascinating listening to the history. Excellent tour and excellent guide!

The Best First-Timer’s Guide to Egypt, Everything you Need to Know before you book your Egypt trip

The Best First-Timer’s Guide to Egypt, Everything you Need to Know before you book your Egypt trip

Home to one of the world’s most vibrant and fascinating ancient civilizations,

Egypt is the ultimate travel destination. But with so much to see and do, and safety concerns to consider, it can be difficult to know where to start planning the perfect trip to Egypt . Here’s your guide to Egypt and everything you need to know before you book.

Where to go

Cairo: It’s big, noisy, and perennially traffic-logged, yet Cairo remains one of the world’s most vibrant, fascinating cities. While it’s possible to squeeze key highlights, including the Pyramids of Giza and the Egyptian Museum, into one day, it’s well worth spending a couple of days in the capital to explore the Islamic quarter with its resplendent mosques and Khan el-Khalili souk, Coptic Cairo with its beautiful churches and ancient ruins, and downtown Cairo with its vibrant food scene, hip galleries, and colonial architecture. Currently under construction, the Grand Museum of Giza will be well worth several hours of your time when it opens in the coming years.

Pyramids, Egypt

Luxor: The world’s largest outdoor museum, Luxor , demands at least several days of your Egypt tour. Your Valley of the Kings ticket allows access to three tombs of your choice that are open to the public (all close periodically for preservation purposes), though it costs extra to visit the tomb of Tutankhamun . Everyone has their favorites, but the tomb of Thutmose III (#KV34) is considered the most sophisticated tomb open to the public.

Nearby, in the Valley of the Queens , the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut is the key draw, but there are many smaller, more beautifully decorated tombs worth seeking out such as the exquisite tomb of Nefertari .

If you have time to visit the Valley of the Nobles, put the tomb of the ‘astronomer’ Nakht (#52) on your list. Also worth a look-in is the house of Howard Carter – the British archaeologist and Egyptologist who discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun – which is now a small museum.

Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple complex are conveniently located right in the heart of town (on the right bank of the Nile), and Luxor also serves as a base for day trips to ancient temples along the Nile Valley , including Esna, Edfu, Dendara, Abydos and Kom Ombo.

Entrance to the temple of Karnak, Luxor, Egypt

Aswan: Nestled alongside the banks of the Nile , the relatively laid-back town of Aswan is the jumping-off point for both traditional felucca boat trips and more luxurious river cruises up to Luxor . A visit to the ruins of Philae – which was relocated to Agilkia Island in the 1970s to preserve it from the rising waters created by the construction of the Aswan Dam – is a must, as is a visit to the Nubian villages of Elephantine Island. Day trips to the two massive rock temples of Abu Simbel , near Egypt’s border with Sudan, are also possible from here.

Aswan, Egypt

Alexandria: Hugging the Mediterranean Sea, Egypt’s second-largest city is light on big sights – highlights including the Roman theatre, the Alexandria Museum and the iconic library can be visited in a day – but Egypt’s former capital also boasts some excellent seafood restaurants as well as a good handful of crumbling colonial relics. Scuba divers also have the opportunity to explore the ruins of the Pharos lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. There are so much more sighs in Alexandria as well.

Alexandria, Egypt

Beach resorts: While there are many beach resorts dotted along the Sinai Peninsula – such as the diving hotspot of Dahab – the resort of Sharm el-Shiekh is the only destination on the peninsula most foreign offices (including the US Department of State ) currently deem safe to visit. Back on the mainland, beach resorts including Safaga and Hurghada offer the same warm turquoise water and tourist amenities in the Red Sea .

What to expect in Egypt

It’s no secret Egypt has struggled to win back tourists amid ongoing regional unrest and with tourist arrivals slowly climbing back up again, it’s a great time to go while tourist sites remain blissfully uncrowded.

Egypt has a reputation for aggressive touts, but if you familiarize yourself with standard prices and stand your ground, you can easily avoid being ripped off. Foreigners – especially women – can expect to attract more attention than they may be used to fielding at home, but Egyptians are simply curious folk, and when you get chatting to locals you’ll find that most are incredibly friendly, kind and hospitable. Learning a few words of Arabic is a great icebreaker – locals will appreciate your gesture to learn simple phrases such as marhabaan (hello), shukran (thank you) and la shukran (no thank you).

Egypt Nile cruise in front of Kom Ombo Temple

Egypt is a year-round destination, but most visitors plan their trip during the cooler months from October to April. Many non-Muslim travelers prefer to avoid the month of Ramadan (which typically begins sometime in May, but changes every year), during which time most food outlets close during the day.

The US Department of State advises travelers exercise increased caution while moving around Egypt due to the risk of terrorist attacks, but most visitors will find Egypt no less safe than most big US cities. While many independent travelers – including solo women – have visited Egypt without incident, many travelers feel more comfortable traveling with a professional guide. Osiris Tours offers great options for luxury Egypt tours are all led by experienced, reputable guides from the moment you arrive in Egypt until you check in for your flight home.

Luxor, Egypt

What to wear

What to wear when traveling in Egypt? We get asked this question a lot! Egypt is an Islamic country, and neglecting to follow the appropriate dress code is considered disrespectful. The shoulders and knees should always be covered when venturing outside tourist hotels, and clothing generally needs to reach the ankles/wrists when visiting mosques. Women must wear a headscarf when visiting mosques, but this is not essential in other public places.

Before traveling to Egypt, decide on what to wear for your comfort.

Food and drink

Egyptian cuisine shares many similarities with that of other eastern Mediterranean countries, yet Egypt boasts some unusual – and delicious – dishes all of its own such as kushari , a combination of macaroni, rice and lentils mixed with a spicy tomato sauce and topped with chickpeas, fried onions and chili sauce which is widely considered to be the national dish. You’ll find in Osiris Egypt tour packages the largest variety of restaurants – including Western-style restaurants – in central Cairo and Luxor. Falafel – made with fava beans rather than chickpeas – is ubiquitous, as are kofta and kebab-style meats. There are typically plenty of vegetarian options on every restaurant menu, though grilled and rice-stuffed legumes tend to dominate over salads. Check out our guide for best restaurants in Cairo .

Egyptian cuisine

Egyptians are thought to be the first civilization to brew beer, and while Islam prohibits the consumption of alcohol, it can be purchased at most tourist hotels and at a handful of bars in Cairo and other tourist areas – the local Sakara Gold larger is arguably the most drinkable local brew. Alcohol is difficult to come by during Ramadan, and imbibing in public places is prohibited at all times.

Exoticca Review: Egypt Tour 2021

I almost always do my own travel planning, from booking the hotels, to planning the tours, finding the restaurants, all of it. I’m one of those weirdos who actually enjoys creating their own vacation itinerary, so purchasing a pre-made vacation package, where someone else does all the work, has never appealed to me. I’ve also always assumed that packaged vacation tours can’t provide unique or unusual experiences, they only visit tourist hotspots, and are overpriced. So why on earth would I purchase one when I can plan my own trips?

But I had heard that Egypt was one of those places that you should really go to with a guide or tour group, no matter how experienced a traveler you are. And after having canceled so many trips in the era of COVID, I just didn’t have the heart to do all of the planning for yet another trip that probably wouldn’t happen. If I was ever going to make an exception to my “no vacation packages” policy, two years into COVID and for a country like Egypt seemed like the right time and place.

Enter Exoticca . When I had decided on Egypt as my next attempt at a trip, since they are fully open to tourists right now, I knew I wanted to book through an agency for the reasons above. I’d seen Exoticca’s ads all over the internet and in my email inbox. When I looked at their website, they offered a great-looking Egypt itinerary, they had excellent reviews, and the price was definitely right. So I rolled the dice and booked their 9-day Egypt tour .

Now that I’m back home, I can tell you about any drawbacks and if it was worth it with this in-depth Exoticca review (spoiler alert: OMG YES IT WAS WORTH IT).

What is Exoticca?

Before I get into my Exoticca review, first things first: what exactly is Exoticca?

Exoticca is an online travel agency. They offer package trips that include flights, accommodations, transfers, tours, and activities to countries all over the world. They do not themselves run tours (like Gate 1, for example), but partner with local companies in each location. They work with a team of over 50 curators who are experts extensively familiar with each destination in order to create holiday packages that provide unforgettable and unique experiences. And because they deal directly with the local providers rather than a middleman, they are able to keep costs low.

The Booking Process

The first part of my Exoticca review covers the booking process. If booking a trip is a hassle, that doesn’t bode well for the rest of the trip. Fortunately, the booking process with Exoticca was very easy.

Once you choose your destination and which package you want, you select which category of comfort you want. For the Egypt trip, we could choose either Superior or Luxury. We chose Superior, but several couples on our trip chose Luxury. The main difference was that they stayed in slightly nicer hotels than we did (but our hotels were just fine, by my standards!).

*Note: Most of us, and our tour guide, stayed in the Superior level locations, which meant we were always in the loop on what we were doing next, while the other people were not. I much preferred being in the same place as everyone else, even if it meant a less luxurious accommodation.

Next, you pick the dates of your trip. Exoticca’s helpful calendar tells you the price differences between different dates. You’ll then be given the option to add on any optional excursions, but you don’t have to make a final decision on that until 30 days before your trip. Along the way, Exoticca is completely transparent about the price of the trip, so you won’t be surprised by any additional taxes on the final payment page.

At the time of booking, you pay 60% of the trip cost and the final 40% is due 60 days before your departure date. Once you pay, you will receive an immediate email confirmation. Between booking and final payment, Exoticca sends multiple reminder emails, so there is no chance you will forget to either pay the final installment or book any optional trips you want to add on.

My only complaint with the process is how Exoticca handles booking flights. At least 30 days before your trip (it was about 2 months for me), Exoticca will book your flights and send you the flight details. The problem is that they don’t give you any flight options, so you are pretty much stuck with whatever flights they choose for you. My trip to Egypt included 2 layovers, both going over and coming home, and out of an airport I didn’t want to leave from. When I tried to change it, it was a big hassle and would have cost me a lot of extra change. I would love it if they let customers review their flights before booking them, but that is not how Exoticca does it, for now.

What about traveling with strangers?

Another reason I’ve never booked a package tour like this before is that I didn’t want to travel with a bunch of strangers I didn’t know. Because the fastest way to ruin a vacation is to be stuck in a foreign country with people you don’t like!

Most of Exoticca’s tours are, indeed, group tours, with a maximum number of 30 people. This is what I was most nervous about. Fortunately, a bunch of my friends decided that they wanted to join me on this trip, so in the end, I knew most of the people on the tour. And the small number of people I didn’t know ended up being perfectly nice.

I know this was a stroke of luck for this particular trip, and there is no way to guarantee that you will like all of the people on your tour. If you are REALLY concerned about this, Exoticca does offer a number of trips with a private tour option, instead of group tours (like this trip to Peru ). So you can still take advantage of their great prices without the issue of a group tour.

The Local Tour Operators

The most important part of this Exoticca review actually has very little to do with Exoticca, but with the Egyptian company that they partner with.

As mentioned, Exoticca does not run the tour themselves but instead contracts with local tour providers. In the case of Egypt, that tour company is Planet Tours Egypt. Let me tell you, I cannot rave about them enough!!! I have never worked with a tour company that I liked as much as the gentlemen at Planet Tours. From the moment we landed in Egypt to the second we flew back out of Cairo, they took care of every single one of our needs and made sure every minute of our trip was amazing.

Planet Tours has someone based in each city to handle transfers and administrative details. When we landed in Egypt, Cairo-based Beemen met us inside the customs gate and helped navigate the visa process, the various checkpoints (the Cairo airport has many), and got us to our hotel (and was so excited to meet us, even at 2:30 in the morning!). Before going home, he made sure everyone had their required COVID tests taken care of.

In Luxor, when unforeseen events threatened to throw off our itinerary, Ahmed made sure the buses and riverboats were coordinated to save us time. And when we needed to get a new suitcase (oops, bought too much alabaster haha), Ahmed went into town to buy one for us!

Then there was our tour guide extraordinaire, Mohamed Raouf (if you ever take a tour with Planet Tours, you should request Mohamed – he’s THE BEST). Instead of being based in any particular location, like the other guys we met, Mohamed traveled with us for the entirety of the trip, staying in all of the same hotels, taking all of the same flights and bus trips. He was extremely knowledgeable, which was so important as most places didn’t have any signs or plaques to explain what we were looking at. There wasn’t a single question he couldn’t answer.

exoticca review

Mohamed pouring us tea in a Nubian village

Whenever anyone needed anything or had a problem, he made sure it was taken care of. He helped us haggle with the street vendors and took us to off-the-beaten-track places that weren’t part of the Exoticca itinerary. He told us not to tip people unnecessarily (since everyone asks for tips), but he made sure that all of the local people we worked with were taken care of. He was both the tour guide leader we needed and just an extremely kind person. We all actually got a little teary-eyed when we had to say goodbye to Mohamed on our last day.

Having someone like Mohamed, a local familiar with the language, culture, and customs who was able to navigate everything for us, and who was an expert on Egyptian history, was worth every single penny of the trip cost. We could have very easily gotten into trouble without him.

As mentioned, Planet Tours is a separate entity from Exoticca, but they are proof that Exoticca does their research when deciding what local companies to partner with. If you don’t, for some reason, want to book with Exoticca, you can book directly through Planet Tours. They offer several Egypt, Jordan, and Israel packages that are different from what Exoticca offers.

Perks of Booking with Exoticca

One issue I had with canceling all of my previously planned trips during the COVID era was getting my money back, since all tours, hotels, and airlines have different refund policies. Exoticca relieves that major headache by offering free cancellation on all of their trips up to 60 days before your departure date. They also have a flexible booking policy. You can change your reservation up to 60 days from traveling with zero rebooking fees. Just pay the difference, if any.

Exoticca Quality Control

An important part of this Exoticca review is noting how the company ensures high quality while staying within budget. With such low prices, you might think that the quality of accommodations would be kind of meh. I can speak with experience that that was not the case in Egypt. Two of our three hotels were pretty spectacular – we stayed in a Hilton in Cairo , and a boutique resort in Luxor , right on the bank of the Nile, which was absolutely lovely. The third was the Nile Cruise ship. We did have a few issues with it, but no major complaints. It seemed like the ship just needed some upgrading.

When choosing hotels for their packages, Exoticca requires that they have a minimum of 3.5 stars (out of 5) on Tripadvisor . They also require that 65% of reviews left by customers be “excellent” or “very good.” That way you know you won’t be staying in any sketchy or rundown hotels.

exoticca review: luxor hotel

The Steigenberger Nile Palace, our hotel in Luxor

Here is the one negative part of my Exoticca review. As mentioned above, I do not like how Exoticca handles flight booking. Had I been given a choice, I would not have chosen a flight path that took 24 hours of travel time, included 2 layovers, and left from the wrong departure airport. But I wasn’t given the choice, and it was too much of a hassle and too expensive to change it after Exoticca booked it. But, I know that traveling to a warm destination the week before Christmas made it difficult for them to find flights within the budget of the trip. If I book a trip with them during a different part of the year, the flight process might be better. Still – I wish they give flight options before just booking them.

Update 2022:  Exoticca no longer does flights like this. Now when you book a trip, you can see your flight options at the time of booking, which is a HUGE improvement.

One other note is less a criticism and more just something to be aware of. There isn’t much flexibility with the itinerary. If there’s something you really want to do that isn’t already a part of the trip, you probably won’t be able to do it. For the Egypt trip, every day was jam-packed. We got up very early each morning and finished in time for dinner. I definitely didn’t feel like we missed out on anything, but if you are looking for a customizable trip, beyond the optional add-ons, this isn’t that.

I love the flexibility that comes with making my own travel arrangements, and I love being in control of the whole process. For me to hand over the reins to anyone else is a BIG DEAL. So the fact that I only have one major criticism of note in my Exoticca review is really saying something. The booking process was easy and smooth, the customer service was helpful, the local tour agency was AMAZING, and the price of the trip was a steal.

Would I book another trip through Exoticca? Absolutely. Working on it right now, actually 😉 Book your own trip with Exoticca today, and save $100 by using my link !

Ah! Mid discussing an Egypt trip this fall with some friends and stuck between several tour companies. Thanks for this!

Hello, I’m interested in booking through this company I wanted to ask you more info can you please contact me?

Yes, I responded to your email! 🙂

Hi, Thanks for your review about Exoticca, I was concerned after seeing very bad reviews in tripadvisor. Your post gives me bit of confidence. It seems you might have departed from DC. Our group has options to depart from DC, Detroit and Chicago. I believe with exoticca you have no control over flights but based upon your and other members of group, any suggestion about choosing a departing airport to expect less travel times and stops ? Thanks.

My suggestion is, first, call them when you book your trip to guarantee what airport you want to fly out of. I booked online and selected that I wanted to fly out of DC, but then when my flights were booked, they had me flying out of BWI. Yes, that’s technically the DC area, but BWI has no direct flights to Egypt, unlike Dulles. Friends who went with me on the trip also selected to fly out of DC, and they got to fly out of Dulles, with direct flights or only one layover. I can’t speak for Chicago or Detroit’s airports, but if you want to fly out of the DC area, make sure you are booked out of Dulles (IAD), and not BWI or DCA.

Thank you! I have read your articles several times. I would like to know when you get details of local contact people information. Or you just arriving at airport and looking for the sign with your name 😂. Thank you

I’m glad you found the article helpful! We didn’t get any info about the local tour guides until we arrived at the Cairo airport and yes, they had a sign with our names on it 😂 But it worked out fine! The local guides were absolutely fantastic.

Hi! I am interested in booking this trip and wondered about the flights. As I’m trying to book, it is having me pick out my own flights times, duration, airports etc. I know you said they sent you your finalized flight plan a few months out, or at least that used to. Did they have you pick out your own flight times upon booking(and still had to confirm/change it closer to departure) or is that a new feature they’ve added since you travelled?

They have recently changed how they do the flights (thank goodness!). So now you get to pick your flight times rather than waiting for them to send them to you.

That’s a really helpful review. I agree that flights with longer layovers can be quite exhausting.

I love Egypt and this sounds like a really great way to do it – I’m a huge fan of the fact that they use a local company on the ground to organise things.

I’ve always wanted to go to Egypt and this kind of tour sounds perfect.

I appreciate your honest review of Excoticca. I must admit that the flight issue would be a huge problem for me. I’d rather pay more up front and have the flexibility to make some decisions. But really loved your photos and thoughts on this tour.

Thanks for sharing your honest views about booking with Exoticca. I’d also never usually book with a travel agency or tour, but I totally agree I’d want to for Egypt, so it’s helpful to know a company that you recommend.

Really helpful review. I tried out my first group tour this year – somewhere near enough home that I could leave if I didn’t like it. I too enjoyed having everything organised, although there was plenty of time to explore on our own as well. I have looked at Exoticca itineraries many times and this review has given me confidence to try them out for a short trip to see how I get on. Thanks very much 🙂

We did our first visit to Egypt with a guide and when we had to deal with armed guards and timed travel through the desert to Luxor, we were sure glad we did. Good to know that you had a great trip with Exoticca to Egypt. I love that you are able to pick optional excursions to personalize your trip. I will keep Planet Tours Egypt in mind if we do a mix of group and solo travel when we finally head back to Egypt.

I loved reading this! I’ve seen their adverts before but didn’t know if I should trust it. I’ve booked my Egypt trip twice already over the past two years and it was cancelled both times. I’d completely given up on Egypt if I’m honest! I’ll have to check this company out when I go to rebook my trip. Third time lucky!

Oh my gosh, that flight sounds a nightmare! I definitely always opt to take the easiest possible flight even it means paying a little more. Thank you for sharing your honest opinion of the tour.

I’ve never heard of Exoticca but I’m glad it was worth it! Definitely good to know that it won’t have people staying in sketchy places. That flight time would be roughhhh though. Thanks for your honesty in this review!

Great read on Exoticca! I plan my own trips and have explored the amazing Egypt many years ago. That said, Exoticca seems to be a great option for those who are busy to plan and co-ordinate but still have flexibility in customizing the tour. 🙂

Sounds like an amazing trip for you. I would love to visit but haven’t given much consideration to a guided tour before. Thanks for the review and suggestion.

Did you enough time at the new Cairo Museum? I think it is a must.

Do you mean the new civilization museum? We didn’t have time to go to that one. And the Grand Egyptian museum won’t open until later this year. So the only one we went to is the original Egyptian Museum – I thought we had plenty of time there! It was fascinating!

I am going with a group of friends in April 2022 with Exoticca we are trying to change to the luxury package because of the outdated ship. Sounds like it wasn’t too bad though. Thank you for this review.

It really wasn’t too bad – you don’t spend much time on the ship anyway, and it was worth staying in the same place as our tour guide. The people on our trip who did the luxury package and were on a different boat were out of the loop on what was happening. Have a great time on your trip!!

Thanks for your review. We’ve done numerous tours with Gate 1 and this will be our first with Exoticca in May (Egypt and Jordan). We’re very independent like you but finally did our first “package tour” with G1 to Ecuador and Peru. Obviously, traveling to “first World” countries you can be completely independent, but when you start heading to 2nd World…it may be a necessity and you will learn more.

Thank you so much for this comprehensive but concise review – I read every word!! Question – we were thinking about booking the same Egypt tour through Exoticca and were a bit worried about how packed the itinerary is as we like to have a couple of lighter days when on vacation. How early would you say every morning was? And was it only early every morning because of adding on the optionals?

The earliest morning was 3AM for the optional Abu Simbel excursion – that’s very early, but it was my favorite part of the trip! The other days, we usually had to be eating breakfast by 7, leaving the hotel by 8. I think there was only one day that was later than that. Most of the additional excursions are in the afternoon, so they don’t affect how early you start each day. So it’s definitely a packed schedule, but it’s also only 7 days on the tour, so I’d say it’s worth it!

We are 2 people going to Egypt in Oct.Should we buy the optional tours with Exotic now or wait til we on the trip? Thanks

You can do either one! It’s easier to book them ahead of time but they do give you the option to sign up once you arrive in Egypt. There are also two extra tours that Exoticca doesn’t tell you about but that the tour operators offer once you get there (the Nubian village tour in Aswan and the Luxor hot air balloon ride)

Four questions:

I was wondering if you know/remember the name of the Nile River ship/boat you traveled on. I would be interested in knowing the name.

I am considering the trip to Egypt in March 2023 and would be traveling Superior class but am wondering what were the specific problems with the ship.

I have read that one should stay away from the tap water in Egypt Were you provided with bottled water?

What was the longest amount of time you spent continuously walking?

Excellent article. Thank you.

I’m so glad you enjoyed the article! Yes, we were on the Chateau Lafayette cruise boat. When we were on it, the ship needed some upgrapes. For example, the electricity in my room kept going out. We thought at first it was whenever someone used a hair dryer or something like that, but no, it just did it randomly, multiple times during the day. It was extremely annoying, especially if you were in the shower and suddenly the lights stopped working….That was the biggest problem. We didn’t have any other specific issues, it was just very obvious that everything about the ship was outdated.

Yes, DO NOT drink the tap water. Don’t eat raw vegetables. I have a sensitive stomach, so I didn’t even use the tap water on my toothbrush because I got sick on the first day. There is bottled water everywhere though. It’s not usually free (nothing in Egypt is free) but it is very cheap, like the equivalent of 25 American cents.

The longest time spent walking was probably Luxor, when we went to both the Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple. There is a fair amount of walking each day, but it is broken up with bus rides or boat rides. Maybe the longest continuous walking spell was a couple of hours? Nothing too strenuous though.

THANK YOU so much for this review!

I have been looking for a tour guide to Egypt for weeks and have been hesitant upon this one because of the negative reviews. You sound just like me I always plan out everything! I am the panning and like being in charge but you have given me the confidence to let go and allow them to host our trip! I appreciate this so much!!

Has anyone taken the 16 day Jordan & Egypt Exoticca tour ? We are interested in this tour and wish to hear your experience. Thank you.

We’re doing the 16 day Jordan/Egypt trip next Friday 25th Nov. Really looking forward to it and have been trying to find reviews, hence coming across this one. Some of our hotels were changed last week. We’re no longer at the Cairo Hilton, now the Concorde El Salam, Nile cruise has been changed from Chateau Lafayette to Nile Quest which I can’t find any reviews on and now at Le Meridian Cairo airport hotel before flying home instead of Hilton. Desert camp in Jordan has also changed. I haven’t found Exoticca ‘s customer service very helpful through the booking process so hoping it will be better once we’re there and under the local guide. But found the reviews here of the Egypt trip very helpful.

I was on the 9 days Egypt trip the end of November. I was on Nile Quest ship. Food and room are all good.

Maggie : Thanks for your excellent article. I looked into the 16 day trip to Jordan and Egypt from January to March 2023. It showed the details of the flights such as the airline company, number of stops and hours of flight. Did you also get such details before you reserved your trip? Can they do the “bait and switch” by changing to a different flight once I reserved the trip?

Thank you for the reviews!!! I have booked my trip going in March 2023… Can’t wait . I am a solo traveler from the uk.. if anyone else going on the 8 day trip please let me know.

Was there air conditioning at the hotels and on the cruise?

Hi Maggie, Question about tips for tour guide: do you give him/her tip the end of every day or end of whole 7days trip? Exoticca mentioned $50 tips for Nile river cruise. Did you get any suggestions for other tips? Thank you!

For the main tour guide, he doesn’t ask for tips, but we all tipped him at the very end of the trip. Don’t tip anyone else as the tour guide takes care of all your other tips. He explicitly told us not to tip anyone else except for a few rare exceptions. Literally everyone will ask you for tips (and some will be pretty aggressive about it), even if they’ve already been paid, so you just have to walk away.

Hello Maggie,

We are planning to book the 9 day Egypt for our 5 year wedding anniversary in May with Exoticca and your blog has been so helpful. I just have two questions I hope you are able to answer:

Did you do the 3 night option or the 4 night Nile cruise option? and if it was the 4 night Nile cruise option, did you get a chance during the trip to get taken to the Bazar? Just asking because when I change the option from the 3n to 4n the trip to the bazar gets removed from the itinerary

I’m so glad the article was helpful! When I went, I wasn’t given the option of a 3 or 4-day cruise, so they might have changed the itinerary a bit. I’m not sure what bazaar they’re talking about. Maybe in Luxor? We did lots of shopping excursions but the only bazaar we went to was the one in Cairo, which is not part of the cruise. Sorry, I know that’s not terribly helpful!

I am just back from 9 days Egypt trip. If you arrive at Cario on Saturday and Sunday, you get 4 nights Nile river cruise. otherwise 3 nights plus one night hotel.

Thanks for this excellent, detailed information. Not sure why Exottica does not reveal the name of the Nile cruise ship, but we found a youtube video that gives highlights of this exact trip with Exottica and saw part of the name on the side of the boat. Anyone interested in that video, see https://youtu.be/wuBFb5Oq6WY

You said to be sure to ask for Mohamed Raouf as a guide. Is that possible with Exottica or should we book with Planet Tours instead to be able to ask for him? Are there advantages to booking through Exottica instead of directly with Planet Tours?

They told me the name of the cruise ship once I received my hotel bookings, so not sure why you didn’t know it beforehand. The benefit of booking with Exoticca is that they can book the flights and hotels at a cheaper rate, whereas if you book with Planet tours, they don’t include your flights. If you book with Exoticca, you may be able to reach out to Planet Tours directly and ask if Mohamed can be the tour guide for your trip.  I hope that helps!

we booked our Egypt trip with Exoticaa for Feb departure after reading your review. We want to book our own Private tour to Abu Simbel from Aswan, do you know if they let do your own thing if you didn’t book the group tour via Exoticaa?

As well, since Lunch and Dinner are not included outside of the river cruise, did you have any problem looking for restaurant to dine at and get to?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Janet, Congrats on booking the trip! You will have a great time! That is a question you’ll have to ask Exoticca. The tour you book with exotica is led by the tour guide that you have for the rest of the trip, and I really recommend doing that. Doing your own separate Abu Simbel trip might throw off the schedule with the cruise ship, so I’m doubtful they’ll let you do that. But I don’t know why you’d want to, the one you can book through them is awesome.  We didn’t have trouble finding somewhere to eat. We had dinner on the rooftop at our Cairo hotel, which was great. And there are lots of places to eat in Luxor when you’re there. When you’re out touring, your tour guide will make sure you get lunch somewhere.

Thank you for your article, it was very informative! We are thinking of doing the 9 day Egypt trip in October 2023. I have a couple of questions: What is the recommended clothing and footwear when walking around on the tour?

Do we pay for our own lunch and dinner when not on the boat, and if so, what was the average cost of the meals?

I’m so glad that it was helpful! I actually have another post on what to wear on the trip that you might find useful: https://pinkcaddytravelogue.com/what-to-pack-for-egypt-in-winter Yes, when not on the boat, you do have to pay for your meals. But Egypt is VERY cheap. It’s even cheaper now than when I was there in 2021. It does depend on where you eat. We had dinner and drinks at the rooftop restaurant at our hotel in Cairo, and it was a little pricier but it was also upscale – maybe $20 a person. The day we did the pyramids, our tour guide got some kind of cheese sandwich things for us, which were $1 per person. But the average is somewhere between those two.

Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions!

We are planning a trip to Argentina, Brazil, and Chile. A 19 days trip with Exoticca. Any one has done this. Appreciate feedback

Are you sure about “…free cancellation on all of their trips up to 60 days before your departure date.” We recently booked a trip to Greece. When we tried to upgrade our seats (10+ hours in economy is just not tenable at our age), the airline said we had to do it through the Exoticca. The cost up upgrading the seats was more *per person* than the cost of the trip (ie, the upgrade TRIPLED) the cost!!!). When we asked to cancel we were pointed to the cancellation policy/procedure on the web site, which states that for cancellations 60 days or more prior to departure will incur a penalty of 60% of the total amount of the booking. If cancelled 59 days or less, the penalty is 75%. Note that the penalty is based on the TOTAL for the booking, not just how much you’ve paid. If you’ve only made a deposit and have a balance due, you actually have to PAY THEM to cancel your trip. That is simply outrageous. I’d be very wary about booking with a company that has such an incredibly unfair cancellation policy. despite the positive reviews.

Our trip to Egypt with Look at Egypt

Our trip to Egypt with Look at Egypt tours was incredible, The itinerary, level of service, and most of all, our guide greatly exceeded our expectations. We were nervous about travelling to Egypt given the situation in Gaza/Israel, however, we felt completely safe the entire time we were in Egypt. This trip allowed us to see so many of the incredible places in Egypt has to offer but didn’t feel too rushed. Our guide Muhammed did a fantastic job and we learned so much from him about the Egyptian history. We highly recommend Look at Egypt tours

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent trip with Look at Egypt Tours. We are pleased you had a wonderful time. Feedback in very important to us to not only congratulate our teams who have done a wonderful job but to also help us to continually improve. We look forward to you travelling with us again.

Wow it was an amazing adventure

We finally undertook our dream holiday to Egypt. The sheer beauty of this timeless country exceeded all of our expectations. We were initially apprehensive about travelling to Egypt in regard to our safety but it was unfounded. Egypt is as safe as anywhere in Europe and more. We booked with Look at Egyt tours who provided a never to forget experience. The professionalism of Look at Egypt staff could not be faulted and their attention to detail was excellent. We could not praise them enough. As for Cairo, Luxor and Aswan with their temples, tombs and Pyramids you cannot appreciate their beauty and intrigue unless you are there. So if you have the opportunity do not miss this once in a lifetime experience.

Cairo, nile cruis and Hurghada

We saw some wonderful sights! The tour guide, Muhmmed, and the Egyptologist, Remon were both great guides. The hotel near Cairo was of a very good standard but in rather a remote location. The cruise boat was fine for us, clean, comfortable cabin, pleasant deck area etc. The food was excellent, catering very well for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. The crew was lovely, very friendly and helpful. The only negatives were: several very early starts, i thought for a second this only us i mean our boat but i found that all cruises start early so you should be aware that you will have very early starts for your tour after the cruise we said goodbye for our small group and our new friends and took our vehicle to Hurghada this was an amazing thing we stayed at desert rose resorts this was the best in our tour food, staff , sea and activities etc Overall, a trip to remember!

Don’t be Fooled By Their Fake Reviews

To see more detailed reviews please see Trip Advisor and Viator. I paid over $3000 for a tour that once I priced it out would have cost half that had I booked it on my own. The hotels they book you in are TERRIBLE. The Dubai portion was lame and wasn’t what was promised multiple times. I ended up booking what wasn’t fulfilled with another company. Honestly, learn from my mistake and go somewhere else. Also notice that the majority of their reviews are from “ first time” travelers. This is code for we are reviewing ourself.

the best family trip ever

Words fail to describe how amazing my experience in Egypt was. I feel honored and blessed to have had Muhammed as my guide throughout my journey. He is an incredible asset to Look at Egypt tours . We were so well prepared for every site and hotel. Muhammed kept us so well-informed.. Not only is his knowledge and understanding of the historical sites deep and insightful, his sense of humor kept us amused. I really can't express how wonderful our trip was, mostly due to Muhammed, and Look at Egypt tours . We never could have seen so much travelling alone. My 12 and 9 year old sons have incredible memories to last their lifetimes. I would also like to say that the trip notes are an invaluable resource. I recommend everyone read them at least twice. Personal safety was never an issue in Egypt. I hope to one day visit again, as I found the Egyptian people to be warm and wonderful!

happy To recommend

I cannot recommend Look at Egypt Tours enough. We took a ten day trip to Egypt and used Look at Egypt Tours to guide us. Everything was taken care of from airport transfers, hotel and Nile cruise reservations, Egyptologist guides at every ancient attraction. Our guide in Cairo was Inas She was excellent and so knowledgeable about ancient Egypt. Our cruise aboard the Nile premium was indescribably wonderful. The whole trip went so smoothly and Look at Egypt took care of our logistics seamlessly. Our guide on the boat Muhmmed (mu)took care of our every request and guided us through multiple temples with so much information. Security was outstanding at every museum and temple as well as the airports. Our guides genuinely cared about making our experience the best ever! The staff aboard the boat were also incredibly attentive and so friendly. I highly recommend a trip to Egypt for a vacation. I had dreamed of this trip for many years and my dream became reality far and above my expectations thank you

We look forward to going on future trips using Ahmed's company.

Do not use this tour company

I very rarely provide negative feedback due to my sympathy for companies and their need for business. However, on this occasion, I deem it extremely important to do so, mainly due to the horrendous experience one can easily incur with Look at Egypt Tours. I booked the ‘Egypt Christian Journey: Biblical Tour of Egypt’ tour through Tourradar, with Look at Egypt Tours being the local guide. This is what I experienced: - First of all, there was nothing remotely Christian about this tour, and my guides demonstrated no knowledge of Christianity or the Christian historicity of the places that I visited. The tour manager, Waled, even had the audacity to want to book me onto a Belly Dance Nile cruise the moment I landed in Cairo. He seemed to forget that I was on a Christian pilgrimage of sorts and that I wanted to focus on my faith. - The attempt to book extra events would become the norm on Waled’s part, despite my persistent refusal. It was apparent that, right from the start, his aim was to extort as much money as possible from me. - Waled had instructed me not to exchange my Pounds Stirling beforehand and that he would take care of it. Upon reaching my hotel after my arrival in Cairo, he exchanged my money into bills of 200 Egyptian Pounds only. This was inconvenient since I needed small change for tipping. I had told him this. But he shrugged and did not seem to care. He then proceeded to ask for a tip for both him and the driver. I had no option but to hand out a huge chunk of my money. I realised that he had cleverly set this up. - My guide for Cairo and Alexandria was Mohamed, who was one of the sleaziest people I’ve encountered. He gawked at every single attractive woman that walked by and would shout at the top of his lungs to show off his English-speaking skills. He was highly dismissive and failed to answer any questions I had about the sites. I always felt like I was being spoken at rather than to. Mohamed was also rude to other tourists in public and would often barge past them. It was embarrassing being with him. He constantly smoked and grunted his way through things like an animal. - Mohamed would pick me up at the hotel in the morning and rush through the day, always ensuring that we finished around 14.00 or 15.00. On one day, when we had finished at around 13.00 and the pyramids were around the corner, I asked him to stop our bus so that I could make most of the day. He laughed and ignored me. So, I always ended up in my hotel in the early afternoon with nothing to do. Thankfully, I was at the Hilton Hotel Pyramids Golf, which is such a beautiful and tranquil place. - I had prepaid for lunch for most of my days on this tour. However, both Waled and Mohamed did their best to avoid getting lunch, and there were some days when it was skipped. On one occasion, when I raised this concern with Mohamed, he stopped the bus, hopped out, bought a sandwich from a filthy vendor, and shoved it into my hand. It was disgusting. The lunch skipping was disgraceful and was only done so that both Waled and Mohamed could pocket my prepaid money. - Both Waled and Mohammed had the vain and bizarre request of wanting their photographs taken at every site, as though they were tourists themselves. They rarely conducted themselves in a professional manner and were often too busy posing rather than guiding. - My hotel in South Sinai, the St. Catherine Plaza Hotel, was hell on earth. It had been abandoned since COVID and is now being run by what seems to be local Bedouin. Although they were pleasant, the hotel is derelict and extremely filthy. Please be aware that none of the information online about this hotel has been updated, and all the photos are old. My hotel room floor was caked in urine, and I had to live with that nauseating smell for two days. Rather than being productive and searching for an alternative, Waled merely joked about the hotel. He had failed in his due diligence of the place. - The only good thing about Look at Egypt Tours was the bus driver on this tour. Ebrahim was such a gentleman and did more than Waled and Mohamed could. He saw how tired and distressed I was at times and did his best to cheer me up, going so far as to buy me breakfast and water. I shamed Waled with this, but he only laughed and mocked Ebrahim, calling him nothing but a bus driver. It is clear that I will never use Look at Egypt Tours again. I have had an amazing experience with Tourradar in the past, so it was certainly not their fault. They should, however, do a thorough review of Look at Egypt Tours. It’s amazing how one tour company can have the power to put you off an entire country. They should be called ‘Never Look Back at Egypt’ Tours. Do not use this company.

Very Trust Worthy

Fayrouz from Look at Egypt Tours set up our whole trip via email and did it perfectly. We had many questions and made some changes to our original itinerary and she cheerfully handled all of that without any problem whatsoever. Tour leader Tarek met us at the Cairo airport and escorted us to the Sofetil El juzirah Hotel best in Cairo. For three days we had an excellent guide and the best driver in the city Enas who was both exceptional! Whatever we needed, she supplied it. Loved that woman! Flew to Aswan where we met the amazing Abdallah Tayep (Jones), who took us out to Abu Simbel and then back to Aswan to board our Nile cruise Minerva. Abdallah was the best. He provided knowledge, guidance, even friendship in places unfamiliar to us. We always felt in great hands with Abdallah! And as we cruised down the Nile we had more great and unique adventures. The crew was wonderful; the food was terrific; the boat was spotless and very comfortable; we made good friends with the other passengers in our group we thought it will be a big group but we had other 2 lovely couples with us; and had a different towel animal greet us in our stateroom each night But most importantly, our trip to Egypt was, from Day One, magical, exciting, spectacular, and better than we could have imagined. The history, the monuments, the river — these were all the experiences of a lifetime, never to be forgotten. Thanks to everyone at Look at Egypt Tours, and the fine, friendly people of Egypt.

First Class Private Tour Company

First Class Private Tour Company My wife and I had our honeymoon trip with Look at Egypt tours . We have been on many group tours but like to book private tours with local tour companies in countries where the prices are reasonable. Egypt is one of those countries. We could book a private tour with LAE at approximately the same per day cost as the group tour company we normally use but with a private tour you have so much more flexibility. The whole tour went like clockwork. All the guides and drivers were very good. They even had a tour leader ( Tarek) Who meets you at the airport and walks you through the visa and immigration process. The best for my wife was our luxury resort at Hurghada on the Red Sea Look at Egypt tours put us in a fabulous resort included everything food and soft & hard drinks included. It was a good break between the historic sights of Cairo and Luxor. The Nile cruise boat they chose was also incredible . Look at Egypt tours is highly recommended by us.

Excrptiaonal services.Thank you

There are tours and then there are Look at Egypt Tours! I have just returned from Egypt having been on a pilgrimage for 10 days under the care of Look at Egypt tours. Their attention to detail was and is exceptional. They went over and above what was required on any such trip. Had it not been for these guys, the whole experience would have been very different, they made sure that it was magical, enlightening and life changing - of which it was. We were a group of 10 people. This was no problem for them at all. I cannot thank these guys enough as they have created a time and space in my life that I will never ever forget! I will most definitely being using them again as Egypt has captured my heart. I have them to thank for that! Thank you all

Best way to experience Egypt is with lookategypt!

My husband and I do a fair bit of traveling and have used tour companies from various places, but lookategypt is by far the best. Their attention to detail and exceptionally friendly people is unmatched. We were a bit nervous about our first trip to Egypt and they really made us feel at ease and enabled us to just relax and enjoy the wonderful people, culture and history that is Egypt. From the moment we landed a smiling face greeted us and took care of everything, getting us to the hotel, on our domestic flights, a wonderful Nile cruise and all around Cairo. Their tour guides are exceptional - they have the right combination of useful information, humor and compassion that make you immediately fall in love with Egypt. Because of their amazing hospitality we are already thinking about our next trip to Egypt - using them of course, and even looking at some of the other places they serve outside of Egypt such as Dubai, Jordan and Morocco. I don’t recommend companies unless I truely believe in their services and lookategypt is one that definitely gets my vote. Thank you to the entire staff at lookategypt for giving us a memorable and cherished holiday experience.

We love Look At Egypt Tours!

Ahmed and his company were wonderful. We had a fabulous Egypt vacation and recommend them fully.
