Swifties, this is what you've been waiting for!

After bringing her Eras Tour concert film to the big screen in the United States and Canada on Thursday (Oct 12), a day earlier than planned due to unprecedented demand, Taylor Swift is taking over movie theatres globally on Friday (Oct 13).

In Malaysia, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is set to open on Nov 3 as confirmed by Golden Screen Cinemas on its Facebook and Instagram page.

The Eras Tour movie tickets in Malaysia are available for purchase starting from Oct 18 at noon. Tickets are priced at RM65 for all GSC locations and start from RM155 for the Aurum Theatre.

Don't miss the chance to see concert film as the Anti-Hero hitmaker herself is not bringing her show to Malaysia.

US media reported that the Eras Tour movie is set to run for 2 hours and 45 minutes.

"The concert itself runs for more than 3 hours and 15 minutes, which means parts of the show are cut out from the film".

Anne Hathaway shook, shook, shook it off at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Germany Friday night.

The 41-year-old actress was filmed by a fan moving and grooving to several of the pop star’s hits at her third and final show in Gelsenkirchen. The concertgoer, who shared her videos on X, caught Hathaway rocking out to “…Ready For It?” , “Shake It Off” and “Blank Space.”

The “Devil Wears Prada” star seemed to never tire out from all the fun, as she was seen showing off her moves and throwing her hands excitedly into the air throughout all three videos.

For the show, she wore white shorts and a button-down shirt, accessorizing the look with yellow heart sunglasses.

According to the fan , Hathaway brought one of her sons to watch the Eras Tour with her. Her son reportedly handed out snacks and water bottles to people from the VIP area.

She shares sons Jonathan, 8, and Jack, 4, with her husband, Adam Shulman. The couple chooses to keep them out of the spotlight.

The Academy Award-winning actress has been a longtime supporter of the “Cruel Summer” singer, calling her “a magnificent creature” during a 2015 chat with Glamour magazine .

Of course, Hathway is just one of the several celebrities who have trotted across the globe to catch Swift, 34, on tour. Other stars who have watched the record-breaking show include Selena Gomez, Cara Delevignge, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds , Prince William and more.

Brightline and iHeartRadio have shared a "first-of-its-kind immersive experience" for a South Florida Swiftie train ride from Orlando to Aventura for the concerts that will take place on October 18, 19, and 20, 2024 in Miami, Florida.

Now Brightline and iHeartRadio teamed up to give fans going to the Miami show a chance to gather together and start the party on the way to the show before they even arrive to the Hard Rock Stadium. They're encouraged to sing along to their favorite songs on a sing-along train.

Fans will get to hear a curated playlist of Taylor Swift's hits all along their journey. DJs from Orlando's XL106.7 and Magic107.7 will set the scene for joy by playing beloved "Tay-tunes". They are welcome to join in the many fans who will be singing along, but if they prefer to just listen to other fans singing along, that's okay, too.

Concertgoers who are taking this train to the Miami Taylor Swift shows will be treated to themed decor with "Easter eggs", or surprises, along the way. Other activities are planned beyond the sing-along, too. Travelers are encouraged to make friendship bracelets before the trip or they can even create some during their journey, and guests are encouraged to swap the bracelets like they do at Swift's concerts.

There will also be photo-ops planned for Swifties on the train, and there will be curated bites and beverages available. Vegan diets and other dietary restrictions should be honored, but he sure to check with Brightline prior to booking your trip.

The train journey will end in Aventura, then a shuttle will connect passengers to the Taylor Swift The Eras Tour at Hard Rock Stadium. (Yes, fans can sing on the shuttle, too!) Roundtrip shuttle transportation is available, with fans being treated to sing-along experience on the way home, too.

You can now book tickets for the Swift-themed Sing-Along Train to The Eras Tour for the dates on Oct. 18, 19 and 20. Two trains will be departing Orlando each day of the concert. Prices start at at $209 for SMART train tickets and $309 for PREMIUM one-way train tickets. Look for the SING-ALONG TRAIN icon when booking at Brightline .

Southbound Sing-Along Departures from Orlando

• 12:50 p.m. departure from Orlando; 3:56 p.m. arrival at Aventura
• 1:50 p.m. departure from Orlando; 4:51 p.m. arrival at Aventura

Hard Rock Connect Train Reservations

Fans traveling from Orlando, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami have the option to book the HARD ROCK CONNECT trains to Aventura. These trains will provide shuttle transportation from the Aventura Station to the Hard Rock Stadium for The Eras Tour. They will also be operating on a regular schedule without the Sing-Along Train takeover experience.

Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Miami Concert Details

Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour is coming to Hard Rock Stadium in South Florida on Oct. 18, 19, and 20, 2024. Starting in Europe after the release of Taylor Swift’s eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department , a new set was added to the show, and fans will get the chance to see the concert with this latest set in Miami.

If Swift follows her current concert traditions, she will be performing two surprise songs each night of the tour. They may include mashups instead of a full two surprise songs. At the start of The Eras Tour, Swift set rules for the surprise songs, but she now says that anything goes, and she can perform any songs from her entire catalog of music. Fans have speculated that she may play songs like “Florida!!!” or “Fortnight” in Miami since both songs prominently feature the Sunshine State.

If you weren't lucky enough to get tickets to Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour concerts in Miami, you can still be a part of The Eras Tour magic. The Eras Tour movie does not include the recent set from The Tortured Poets Department , and the set list is different. It's still a wonderful way to experience this groundbreaking concert.

It's also a fun movie to watch as you prepare for the train ride and concert in October. Since the set list has changed, and a whole new set has been added for Swift's latest album, nothing will be "spoiled" about the show if fans want to watch the movie before the concert.

Since friendship bracelets will be exchanged on the train ride and at the concert, it's fun to be prepared with at least some friendship bracelets.

Keep in mind that the friendship bracelet exchanges can go quickly. If you have any bracelets that you aren't willing to give away or trade, you may consider putting them on your left arm, then use your right arm for the friendship bracelets you are willing to trade or give away to other fans.

Editor’s note: In the latest in series of first-person columns from DP World Tour members set to compete at the 2024 Olympic Games, Malaysia's Gavin Green looks ahead to testing his game against the best at Le Golf National and how his latest experience on this stage could prove hugely beneficial for his confidence going forward.

To be one of only four players to have qualified for each of the last three Olympic Games is something I am proud of. I have the Olympic rings as a tattoo below my right arm as a reminder of my journey in the game.

I turned professional in the middle of 2015, so when golf rejoined the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016 it was very new to me. If I’m honest, it was nerve-wracking! For everyone, 2021 was a tough year with the COVID-19 pandemic. I hadn’t been home in a few months by the time I played in my second Olympics in Japan. In hindsight, I wasn’t mentally there, but I was certainly more experienced by then, having played against many of the best in the world on the DP World Tour.

I’m really hopeful that playing at the upcoming Games can give me a confidence boost for the rest of the season. You’re performing among many of the best players in the world with the eyes of the sporting world on you. There are so many guys playing unbelievable golf right now, so it is not going to be easy, but it is still golf at the end of the day. It’s a unique experience, so if you can have a good week then that can only do wonders for you.

There is, of course, pressure on my shoulders because I have been there before. It is a huge privilege and honor to represent Malaysia. I’m hopeful I will get the chance of playing in more Olympics. I would love to do that. It is like a fifth major championship for me. Golf has definitely picked up back home, especially among young children. I see a growth in the game, getting asked for tips when I’m at a range. I just wish I could do more for golf in the country.

The golf community in Malaysia will be supporting me, but other than preparing as best I can and giving it my best shot, there is not much more I can do. Golf is a funny game. It could all click for me in one week. It’s another opportunity for me to build further experience and perform at a high level against the best in the world.

It will be nice to go back to a golf course where we have played DP World Tour events. You know what to expect in a sense. While the experience certainly helps, for as long as I play golf, there will always be nerves on the first tee.

Le Golf National is a beast. It’s a ball-striker’s course. You have to hit fairways, you have to hit greens and you have to putt well. The whole game has to be pretty solid to win on that course. There are not many places on that course where you can miss, especially down the stretch. The closing holes are so, so demanding.

With the course being around an hour away from the Olympic Village, I don’t think (I’ll stay there). Instead, I am going to get a house or an apartment near the golf course and then just drive to watch other events where I can after finishing golf.

My best memory without a doubt of being on site at the Olympics was watching Usain Bolt win gold in the 100m at Rio in 2016. That was an awesome experience, and one I will never forget. I’ve always liked to watch athletics. Badminton is a big sport in Malaysia so that’s something I’d like to find time to watch. It’s a sport I haven’t seen yet, same for basketball.

My main focus going forward for the rest of the year is trying to build some consistency, not just making cuts but top 10s and top 20s. I’ve been close to that a couple of times and just haven’t been able to finish off the way I wanted to. I do a lot of video chats with my coach. We cover a lot of stuff but make sure to keep everything simple. It’s just about continuing to put in the hard work and carrying on grinding.

The Three Boards and Nitram actor is unrecognizable after four hours in make-up. His already tall frame augmented by platform shoes, he towers over Besson, the cast and the crew.

Deadline is not invited to sit in on filming. Besson likes intimate shoots without distractions, sitting beside his cinematographer and close to his actors, rather than following shots on a monitor.

“On my first films I was far from the actors. I was scared of them. I was too young. Bit by bit I got closer and closer. The film that changed everything for me was Atlantis … which only had fish. I spent 11 days filming a manta ray… and I had to work out how to make it do what I wanted it to do… it freed me,” he recounts.

Talking as he walks around the set, Besson says his new movie was sparked by his “fascination” with Jones rather than by a particular interest in the Dracula tale.

The pair grew close over the course of Besson’s last film DogMan , in which Jones gives a nuanced performance in the fantasy drama as a man who finds meaning in the canine world after an abusive childhood.

“It’s not Dracula, my fascination is Caleb,” says Besson, laughing. “We were just chatting about other roles that could work for him. I said, ‘You’d be great as Dracula.’ Then, I thought, ‘You know what I’m just going to write it.”

“We got on so well on DogMan and since then I’ve only had one wish and that was to make another film with him. He’s crazily talented. It’s something I haven’t seen since Gary Oldman,” says Besson, recalling his Oscar-winning collaborator on Leon and The Fifth Element .

Aside from Jean Reno, who appeared in six of his films including Leon , Besson says he has rarely been inspired by an actor in this way.

Even when an actor has captured his attention, projects have rarely come together, he adds, revealing how he and Julia Roberts were in talks for a decade, after a first meeting some 30 years ago.

“I love her and she’s an amazing actress.  She’d come to me with stuff, and I wouldn’t like it. I’d go to her with stuff, and she wouldn’t like it… but in general, it’s not my affection for a talent, but a good subject that inspires me,” he says.

Besson’s take on a classic

Besson has framed Bram Stoker’s classic novel as a love story, following Dracula as he connects with a woman in Belle Epoque Paris, who resembles his beloved wife Elisabeta, who died in mid-15th century Transylvania.

Per legend, it was Elisabeta’s suicide that led Romanian ruler Prince Vlad III (the real-life inspiration for Dracula) to forsake God and embrace life as a vampire.

“It’s a totally romantic approach,” Besson says of his adaptation. “There’s a romantic side in Bram Stoker’s book that hasn’t been explored that much.”

“It’s a love story about a man who waits for 400 years for the reincarnation of his wife. That’s the true heart of the story, waiting an eternity for the return of love,” says Besson, leaving it open on whether the woman that Dracula meets is a reincarnation or not.

Zoë Bleu, daughter of actress Rosanna Arquette, who is not on set the day Deadline visits, plays Elisabeta and her 19th century alter ego Mina.

Other cast members include Italian actress Matilda De Angelis, as Mina’s best friend as well as Christoph Waltz, as a vampire-hunting priest who is on Dracula’s tail.

“He’s trying to capture Dracula, but will he succeed?” says Besson of Waltz’s character.

The action moves between time and the settings of Dracula’s castle in Romania’s Transylvanian Mountains and Belle Epoque Paris, which substitutes Stoker’s original UK settings of Whitby and London.

“I didn’t want to make a classic English movie with people drinking tea and saying ‘Indeed’,” explains Besson imitating a plummy English accent. “We’ve seen that a lot. I wanted to break with that.”

The Paris-set scenes in the second part of the film unfold in the lead up to July 14, 1889, as the city gears up to celebrate the centenary of the French Revolution.

“Paris is partying, but a number of other things are happening behind the scenes as Dracula falls in love and risks capture,” says Besson.

Dracula: A Love Tale is Besson’s most ambitious production since his 2016 sci-fi epic Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planet s.

It comes as Besson moves on from a financially and personally turbulent period in which his company EuropaCorp went to the brink of bankruptcy, while he battled rape charges in the courts, which he denied and was cleared of in 2023. In the same period, several other women anonymously alleged inappropriate sexual behavior by the director but none pressed charges and the filmmaker has denied those claims.

The filmmaker has been married to his fourth wife, EuropaCorp producer Virginie Besson-Silla, since 2004. They have three children. She is producer on Dracula: A Love Tale, with Besson’s LBP.

Reflecting on $233M passion project Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets , just one of the elements that sent EuropaCorp into a financial tailspin, Besson says he still loves the film, which eventually recouped its budget, even if it failed to ignite the box office.

“Films are like children. They grow up, you keep an eye on them, you love them, sometimes they do stupid things, but you love them whatever happens,” he says of the film “It will still be there in 20 years. I watched it on TV not long ago. I said to myself, ‘I was mad’… I mean in terms of the storytelling – if you compare it with American norms, the Marvel films, it’s mad,” he says.

“As I’ve got older, I’ve come to understand that the life true lifespan of a film is 20 years. It’s not just 15 days, or the first week, or weekend at the box office, especially with the arrival of the streamers,’ he continues. “A film like DogMan , within a year, will have be seen by 50, 60, 70 million people. Perhaps, it won’t have been seen in a cinema, but it will have been seen, via DVD, on a platform, or on TV.”

Padding about the Dracula: A Love Tale set , Besson has a quietly focused air. There’s a sense that he has been through the wars and is now keen to get on with his passion for making films.

The director is in his element as he sets up the afternoon’s shoot with Jones in a dungeon set complete with torture instruments, including a suspended metal cage.

“It’s for interviewing journalists,” jokes Besson, whose relationship with the media has been strained throughout his career

Taking a hands on approach, he starts lighting the candelabras dotted about the room as half a dozen technicians busy themselves with other props and the lighting.

The 4,000 meter squared Dracula’s castle set also spans a decaying chapel; the vampire’s bedroom, featuring a large four poster bed carved with dragon motifs and strewn with roses; a majestic, double-staircase entrance hall, which is reached by a snow-covered driveway and courtyard, as well as a magnificent banquet hall. There are further sets featuring Belle Epoque Paris interiors.

The production reunites Besson with long-time production designer Hugues Tissandier, who has worked with the director on more than 20 productions beginning with 1999 historical epic Joan Of Arc and also including The Extraordinary Adventures Of Adèle Blanc Sec, The Lady , Lucy and Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets .

“We’ve been working together for more than 25 years,” says Tissandier, who cites Joan of Arc as their biggest ever production with some 900 people working under his charge alone.

Besson has also reconnected with the UK armourer Terry English, who created the armoury for Joan Of Arc , to create a suit of armour for Dracula.

In the backdrop, the entire studio space is a hive of quiet activity with crew members getting ready for the afternoon shoot, while another 120 production workers build sets and props, with a handful of artists chiselling gargoyles and fake masonry out of polystyrene blocks.

Over lunch, the pair trade anecdotes about their big-budget Joan of Arc , for which they set up a field hospital for the battle scenes, recalling one extra, who did not listen to the instructions, and unwittingly followed a stuntman up a ladder to find himself unexpectedly jumping off into the void.

Quizzed on how his French productions have taken on U.S. studio movies in terms of their production values, Besson puts it down to the high standards.

“It’s not a question of whether it’s American or French, it’s all about being demanding,” he adds. “I’ve been watching a lot of Chinese films. They’re similarly demanding in terms of the sets and costumes. They make these monster productions but the storytelling is very different.”

Besson continues to have a strong following in China, including Chinese President Xi Jinping. Pushed by one of his assistants, Besson shares a video of Xi visibly lighting up as the director is presented to him at a banquet in Paris during a state visit back in May.

“He said, ‘I’ve seen all your films’. I wasn’t expecting it at all,” he recounts, noting that Léon and The Big Blue remain classics in the country, even if they were seen via pirated copies rather than on the big screen.

Principal photography on Dracula: A Love Tale began in June, with Besson racing to film exterior scenes on location in central Paris before shooting restrictions came into force on June 15 in the lead up to this summer’s 2024 Olympic Games.

Unseasonably rainy weather nearly scuppered these plans. Besson recounts one washed out shooting day in the courtyard of Paris’ Palais Royal involving a summer fair scene and 350 extras, in which he managed to film nine key shots during a 15-minute break in the rain, having monitored the weather via satellite.

“They do the same thing with Formula One… I had warned everyone that we had a 15-minute window and that they had to be ready to go… we shot the final shot and then the heavens opened. It was horrible,” he says.

Prior to principal photography, Besson also spent time in Finland in the spring filming winter scenes with carriages and horse. Working with the famous equestrian showman Mario Lauraschi, he had the horses transported from France to Finland.

“We wanted to shoot in the Jura but because of climate change, there was no snow,” he says referring to the low mountain region in Eastern France.

The studio stage of the shoot wraps in July, with a final round of filming set for the Jura, against the backdrop of the autumnal colors of its woods.

With the film expected to be completed in mid 2024, Besson is promising a more mainstream picture than DogMan , which won critical praise but did not ignite the box office. DogMan was billed as Besson’s ‘comeback’ movie after years of personal and career turbulence — reflecting on his journey, the director was moved to tears at the film’s Venice press conference.

“ DogMan was extremely special, it wasn’t particularly accessible to the public, this will be more mainstream,” he says.

Six people found dead in luxury thai hotel, with police exploring possible poisoning.

Six people, including two Vietnamese Americans, have been found dead inside a luxury hotel room in central Bangkok, with Thai police exploring the possibility that they were poisoned.

The bodies were discovered by staff in a fifth floor room at the Grand Hyatt hotel, after the guests missed check out time by more than 24 hours, according to Thiti Saengsawang, Bangkok’s Metropolitan Police commissioner.

Police said the incident doesn’t appear to be a robbery, and none of the bodies showed any signs of suffering physical violence. Police also believe “they didn’t harm themselves.”

But Thiti said cups with traces of a white powder were located in the room, along with untouched food that had been ordered earlier. Poisoning has not been ruled out, Thiti said.

Authorities are currently searching for the seventh person who was part of the hotel booking, and is now a possible suspect.

The other four deceased are Vietnamese nationals. Thiti said police believe one member of the party tried to reach the door but fell before they were able to do so.

Police were pictured guarding the entrance of the five-star hotel on Tuesday, after the bodies were discovered.

The US State Department said it was “aware of reports of the deaths of two US citizens in Bangkok.”

“We offer our sincere condolences to the families on their loss. We are closely monitoring the situation and stand ready to provide consular assistance to those families,” State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller told a briefing Tuesday.

“Whenever a US citizen dies in a foreign country, local authorities are responsible for determining the cause of death. We do reach out to local authorities often to communicate with them when it involves the death of a US citizen and we will certainly be doing so here,” Miller said.

Miller said he did not know if the deaths came up during Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s call with his Thai counterpart, as the call may have taken place before the agency was aware of the deaths.

Last year Sararat Rangsiwuthaporn, a Thai woman who was arrested  on suspicion of murdering her friend with cyanide, was charged with at least 13 counts of premeditated murder, in a separate poisoning case that stunned the country.
