Scottish music legends The Proclaimers have spared fans a 500-mile journey after confirming back-to-back live dates in the Capital next year.

The Auchtermuchty twins are set to take the Edinburgh Playhouse from misery to happiness on December 9 and 10, the venue has confirmed.

The brothers, famed for hits including Cap in Hand and Sunshine on Leith , are set to record their 12th studio album in 2022 before heading out on tour - including a main stage appearance at the Isle of Wight festival in June.

The album will be their first since the release of 2018’s Angry Cyclist - coinciding with their last performance at the Capital theatre.

Tickets for the gigs are due to go on sale this Friday, November 26.

The title for the 12th album is yet to be revealed by the brothers, however they are due back in the studio early next year.

The tour will see the pair perform in four major English cities and most in Scotland when it kicks off in October.

Taylor swift's dance moves get mercilessly mocked during 'eras' tour stop, taylor swift dance moves labeled 'cringey' mercilessly mocked online.

Taylor Swift 's "Eras" tour has seemingly lost its luster, 'cause Swifties are now roasting their idol ... specifically, over her attempts to cut a rug on the big stage.

The Grammy winner's dance moves are being called out online -- all because of a viral clip that captures Tay Tay swiveling her hips like it's 1958 ... this while she was doing one of her big concerts in Edinburgh earlier this month and gyrating to her song "Fearless."

Watch ... Taylor is seen shaking her booty back and forth, in an attempt to highlight her fringe gold outfit. While TS was clearly having fun and just goofing around onstage, a good amount of her fans have digitally grimaced ... saying Taylor gives off granny vibes here.

One fan commented ... "I don't understand why they don't hire someone to teach her how to move properly." Another weighed in with this ... "she is a brilliant songwriter but dancing isn't really her thing."

Others compared the dance moves to small children demanding snacks or how a person dries off getting out of the shower ... with countless other jokes at her expense ... it's brutal.

However, it's Taylor who actually had the last laugh ... 'cause she's bringing in billions with her sold-out international tour -- and people are obviously flocking to catch her sing and dance ... cringeworthy as the latter may be.

The tour will run through December ... capping off a wildly long run that dates all the way back to early 2023. We've seen a lot of Taylor these past couple years -- more than we've arguably ever seen pre- Travis Kelce .

As for the dancing ... we hear Beyoncé knows a thing or two. It might be time for lessons.

Swift was in the middle of singing her “Midnights” song “Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve” when she noticed a fan who was in distress. In a video that went viral on social media , the singer-songwriter is seen requesting assistance for the fan. “We need help right in front of me, please, right in front of me,” Swift sang while playing her guitar and keeping her eyes locked on the fan. “Just gonna keep playing until we notice where it is.”

After the fan received support, and Swift got the message that they were fine, she said, “You’re good? Awesome!” She then seamlessly returned to singing “Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve.”

The following night in Swift’s three-night run in Edinburgh, she performed “The Bolter” for the first time, which is one of the songs from the Anthology edition of her latest album “The Tortured Poets Department.” She then transitioned to sing “Getaway Car” from “Reputation.”

Swift also added two more songs to her first live performances: a mashup of “Crazier,” a track from 2009’s “Hannah Montana: The Movie,” and “All of the Girls You Loved Before,” a song that was originally slated for her 2019 album “Lover” but was released last year. “You get extra points if you know this next song at all because it is really, really old,” Swift told the crowd at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium in between transitioning from “All of the Girls You Loved Before” to end with “Crazier.”

Man arrested, charged with voyeurism at Taylor Swift’s Eras tour show in Edinburgh

A 64-year-old man has been charged with voyeurism after attending one of Taylor Swift’s sold-out Eras tour shows in Edinburgh, Scotland over the weekend.

Scotland Police said the concert-goer was arrested at the 14-time Grammy winner’s sold-out show on Saturday, where the singer performed in front of a 73,000-strong crowd at Murrayfield Stadium.

“A 64-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with a voyeurism offense committed within Murrayfield during the event on Saturday June 8,” Superintendent David Happs said in a statement.

“He was released on an undertaking to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.”

In the UK, non-consensual voyeurism is an illegal offense. It is the act of gaining sexual gratification through watching or recording someone in a private act.

The “Fortnight” hitmaker, 34, kicked off the UK leg of her global tour on Friday with a total of 3 sold-out shows in the Scottish capital.

Each night, the “Cruel Summer” singer performed to a 73,000-strong crowd, making her shows the highest attended stadium concerts in Scotland’s history.

“Edinburgh!!! You truly blew me away this weekend,” Swift wrote on Instagram after the shows.

“Thank you for breaking the all-time attendance record for a stadium show in Scotland 3 times in a row and for all the ways you made us feel right at home. Love you, all 220,000 of you!!!”

And the Edinburgh shows weren’t without it’s special moments, as the singer even witnessed a couple getting engaged during her combined “Folklore” and “Evermore” set.

“I love performing this entire show in the sunlight ’cause I’m pretty sure I just, like, saw somebody get engaged over here,” the pop star told the crowd at Murrayfield Stadium in a clip shared on Threads .

Once fans confirmed the exciting news, the “Karma” hitmaker pumped both her arms in the air and screamed, “Yes!”

“Congratulations, wow!” she enthusiastically added. “I just saw that whole thing. Man, that’s amazing … Thanks for doing that at my concert; that’s a big moment!”

Swift’s performances in Edinburgh were the first of 15 dates that will take place in the UK.

The singer is set to take the stage in Liverpool, Cardiff, and London in the coming days before heading off to Ireland.

Taylor Swift performs Eras Tour in Edinburgh, Scotland: 'What a way to welcome a lass.'

Taylor Swift is beginning her United Kingdom adventure performing three sold out nights at the Scotland Gas Murrayfield stadium.

"The last time I was here was almost 10 years ago," she said holding her sky blue "Lover" guitar in front of nearly 73,000 screaming fans. The last time the Eras Tour star performed within the Scottish borders was her "1989 World Tour" in Glasgow in 2015.

"I had someone pull me aside and say, 'Hey we checked this 20 times and we swear it's accurate, 'This is the highest attended concert in Scottish history,'" she added. "What a way to welcome a lass to Scotland."

Harry Styles held the record with 65,000 fans on at his Love on Tour show in 2023, according to The National. The news site said the stadium capacity was increased by 8% for the Eras Tour.

Scottish lake renamed Loch Tay Tay

In a warm gesture to the singer's arrival, the First Minister or head of the Scottish Government hosted a renaming ceremony at Loch Tay, a freshwater lake two hours north of Edinburgh.

"The first thing I want to say to Taylor and to all of her Swifties is they’re really really welcome here in Scotland," said Scottish First Minister John Swinney during a media event at the lake on Wednesday. "I’m so thrilled and the fact that Loch Tay is being renamed Loch Tay Tay is just fabulous."

'My one regret' is...

Swift's massive tour schedule is slated to visit 22 countries over the course of two years with 18 European cities on the itinerary. She has performed some cities in the past like London, Paris and Madrid. Other cities are new to her world tour including Lyon, France and Stockholm, Sweden.

In a similar message during her "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)," Swift told the Scottish audience how she loves that the Eras Tour showcases her extensive discography.

“My one regret in terms of the tours that we’ve done is that I really should have come to play in Scotland more," she said. “Look at what you’ve done. You made us feel so welcome. You’ve been so beautifully generous to us."

Swift's three plus hour show boomed out of the open-roofed stadium in Scotland to fans sitting outside the Murrayfield walls. Known as "Taylor"gating, fans sat on the grass attempting to watch livestreams on their phones of the show inside while listening to the music live. However, different from other concert cities, the livestreams inside the stadium were incredibly spotty and unreliable.

The Eras Tour heads next to Liverpool, England on Thursday when Swift will perform her 100th Eras Tour show on June 13.
