Cathy opened Travel Ventures in 1989, having realized the need for an agency that specialized in leisure and group travel. Prior to that, Cathy taught English and Art in the local school system and had been responsible for planning school trips during that time, as well as group cruises for friends and family. Cathy developed a love of travel very early in her life through her parents, and while her early years of travel were spent camping across the United States, she was fortunate to have been in 48 states before the age of 14.  Cathy and her husband Steve have now expanded their travel experiences to destinations such as Europe, Central and South America, Egypt, The Caribbean, Cuba, Vietnam, and Cambodia, and over fifty cruises.
