If You Bought Jonas Brothers Tickets Behind The Stage, Don't Worry

jonas brothers tour stage setup 2023

Tickets for the Jonas Brothers' highly anticipated tour officially went on sale Friday (May 12) — and some fans are concerned about where they might be hearing The Album from.

Whether you purchased your tickets during presale or the public on sale, you might have noticed some venues across the U.S. offered tickets behind the stage. Fans on social media were quick to panic, sharing posts on Twitter about how they bought the "worst" seats in the house. Fear not, says Nick Jonas himself.

"Did I just buy the worst @jonasbrothers tickets ?!!? WTF WHY ARE THEY BEHIND THE STAGE. WTF IS HAPPENING," one fan from Texas wrote on Twitter on Friday morning.

Nick came to the rescue, quote-tweeting her stress-filled tweet and giving the rest of the country room to breathe and relax. "Those seats are actually incredible. Trust me. 😎," he wrote.

This isn't the first tour where the Jonas Brothers cater to fans who buy tickets in the behind-the-stage area. While we don't know how the stage will be set up, we do know that it's likely you'll get a good view of the Jo Bros no matter where you're sitting. Check out this video from a few years ago from a fan who bought last-minute seats:

The Jonas Brothers' 2023 The Tour set list includes over 60 songs.

The Jonas Brothers’ The Tour Set List Has A Taylor Swift Shoutout

These exes are doing “Much Better.”

Jonas Brothers fans knew the band’s 2023 tour, simply called The Tour , would be absolutely massive, but its gargantuan setlist exceeded all expectations. The career-spanning concerts were teased with the moniker “Five Albums. One Night,” but in reality, the JoBros managed to squeeze in hits not only from all six of their studio albums, but from their solo projects and non-album releases as well. Basically, this is a can’t-miss event for any JoBros superfan, because the set list for their 2023 The Tour is a three-hour trip through their different eras with over 60 songs.

On Aug. 12, the Jonas Brothers kicked off their 92-show world tour in Yankee Stadium in New York City. Of course, all eyes were on this first show as it finally revealed what the much-speculated-about set list would include, and what other surprises the JoBros had in store with this career-spanning tour. For Night 1, the big surprise was a blast from Jonas past, as the group’s former bodyguard Big Rob reunited with them on stage to perform his verse in “Burnin’ Up.”

But that wasn’t the only big surprise of the night. If you listen carefully, the Tour’s set list includes a Taylor Swift shoutout. The band’s 2009 hit “Much Better,” which was written after Joe’s messy breakup with Taylor, made the set list. A little reminder: The song’s original lyrics go, “I get a rep for breakin' hearts / Now I'm done with superstars / And all the tears on her guitar.” But the band has changed the song since then. In 2022, they introduced an updated lyric: “Now I’m cool with superstars .” And for The Tour, they’ve stuck to the new tune , making it clear that any bad blood is over. (Considering the much-kinder version of “Better Than Revenge” on Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) , it only makes sense the JoBros would stick to their drama-free lyric.)

The Jonas Brothers' 2023 The Tour set list includes over 60 songs.

Taylor shoutouts aside, the band covers a lot of ground in their set list. Over the course of the three-hour show, they perform nearly 70 songs. That might sound nearly impossible, but they manage to fit it all in by including a trio of medleys throughout the night that merge four or five of their hits together.

Here’s the full set list for The Tour:

  • “Wings” (instrumental)
  • “Celebrate!”
  • “ What a Man Gotta Do ”
  • “Goodnight and Goodbye”
  • “That’s Just the Way We Roll”
  • “Still in Love With You”
  • “Australia”
  • “Hollywood”
  • “Just Friends”
  • “Hello Beautiful”
  • “Inseparable”
  • “Take a Breath"

The North American leg of The Tour closes on Dec. 9 in New York City, before the JoBros jet over to Australia and Europe to tour throughout the first half of 2024.

L-R) Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas of The Jonas Brothers perform onstage together.

When the Jonas Brothers say their new tour includes five albums in one night, they’re not kidding.

Over the course of almost exactly three hours on Saturday, Aug. 12, at Yankee Stadium , Joe, Nick, and Kevin played at least a chorus, but often more, of 66 (!) songs.

The setlist included every single track from albums “Jonas Brothers,” “A Little Bit Longer,” “Lines, Vines, and Trying Times,” “Happiness Begins,” and their latest “The Album,” plus recent non-album singles and, of course, “Year 3000.”

They even made room for Nick to play “Jealous” off his self-titled solo album, and “Cake by the Ocean,” by DNCE, a Joe-fronted band.

‘The Tour’ is for the OGs, as Nick said during the show — the people who have been there since the very beginning, including this reporter — and for anyone who has found their way to Jonas Brothers fandom since. That’s the beauty of a show like ‘The Tour:’ no matter what your favorite Jonas Brothers track is, you’re going to hear it at some point during the night.

(For me, personally, these were “Tonight” and “Sorry,” both from “A Little Bit Longer” and “Fly With Me.”)

Highlights of the night included the ballad “When You Look Me in the Eyes,” fan-favorite “Lovebug,” “Walls” featuring Jon Bellion, and the beginning of the “Happiness Begins” album set, which kicked off with “Comeback” and “Rollercoaster,” two songs that nod to the band’s 2013 breakup and 2019 reunion. Another fun moment came when Joe asked the crowd to start doing the wave right as Nick launched into a speech before a heartfelt ballad (the crowd obliged, of course).

The Tour doesn’t come with much spectacle — there’s the obligatory pyro during “Burnin’ Up,” and fireworks that were likely exclusive to Yankee Stadium concerts — because the music really is the main focus. All three brothers spent significant time at the very end of the catwalk interacting with each other, fans in the front rows, and the members of their large, talented backing band.

Songs from “The Album” were spread out across the night, while the other four records were played in full, chronologically. There was even an intermission between “A Little Bit Longer” and “Lines, Vines, and Trying Times” — at the opening show,  this break lasted about 20 minutes, but it also started pouring right as the intermission began.

That time may vary as ‘The Tour’ moves to mostly indoor arenas going forward.

An intermission at a concert may seem unnecessary, but this is the kind of show that never takes its foot off the gas. By the time it actually happened, it was nice to have that break to get more water (because staying hydrated when you’re screaming and dancing is very important), use the restroom, and even just sit down for a few minutes without feeling like you were missing out on the fun.

For us, the biggest surprise of the night came at the end of the “A Little Bit Longer” album set when they performed their first platinum single, “Burnin’ Up.” Although fans at the Saturday night show didn’t get to hear Nick’s iconic “red dress” flourish in the second verse, we got to see Big Rob, the brothers’ former bodyguard, come out on stage to rap his verse on the track. It got one of the loudest reactions of the night; the crowd went wild for the special guest and of course, as an OG fan myself, I was right there with them.

No matter how much time has passed, catching a new Jonas Brothers show always feels like coming home, and I’m already planning on catching ‘The Tour’s’ closing night show at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center in December.

Building on the anticipation and format of their five-night Broadway stint earlier this year , songs from their newest album were sprinkled through the three-hour show.

Joe, 33, Nick, 30, and Kevin Jonas , 35, dedicated songs to their wives in the audience ( Sophie Turner , Priyanka Chopra and Danielle Jonas, respectively) and praised the original JoBros fans for sticking with them for more than 15 years, even after a brief hiatus in the mid-2010s.

Jonas Brothers Promise ‘Five Albums Every Night’ on North American Tour

By Jon Blistein

Jon Blistein

The Jonas Brothers will dig into their own “eras” bag with a new North American tour that will find them performing “five albums every night.” A few weeks before its kick-off, the band has extended their biggest tour yet with the addition of 26 new shows in North America and 27 new shows in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.

“The Tour,” as it’s being called, appears to build off the band’s recent Broadway residency , during which they played one of their albums in its entirety each night, along with a selection of hits. The shows covered 2007’s self-titled up through their new LP, The Album , released May 12 (no luck for fans of 2006’s It’s About Time ).

Anyway, “The Tour” will kick off with the band’s two previously-announced how’s at Yankee Stadium in New York City on Aug. 12 and 13. The run was originally scheduled to wrapping on Oct. 14 at the Kaseya Center in Miami. Now, it will continue with a show at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on Oct. 18 and extend through June 20, when it will conclude with a show in Northern Ireland. The new dates include shows in Brooklyn, Portland, Newark, Nashville, Vancouver, Seattle, Salt Lake City, and more.

The Jonas Brothers will also be performing at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. on Dec. 6 and in Philadelphia at Wells Fargo Center on Sept. 21 .

Jonas Brothers 2023 setlist: Every song they played at their marathon Phoenix concert

jonas brothers tour stage setup 2023

Five albums in one night?!

Now, that’s ambitious.

But not only did the Jonas Brothers pull it off at Footprint Center in Phoenix, they managed to bring it in under the three-hour mark by strategically boiling the essence of those albums down to a more manageable length through the magic of medleys while leaving a number of songs on the shelf.

That even left time for the brothers to acknowledge their careers outside the context of the brotherhood on Wednesday, Sept. 6, with Nick Jonas taking the spotlight on “Jealous” and Joe Jonas, who filed for divorce a day before the concert, dusting off his DNCE classic “Cake By the Ocean.”

It wasn’t all medleys, of course. We got standalone versions of their most enduring calling cards, from “S.O.S.” and “Year 3000” through their five-times-platinum comeback single “Sucker” to nine songs from this year’s model, descriptively titled “The Album.”

But it's a DRY extreme heat: All the concerts canceled by extreme heat in Phoenix, from 50 Cent to Disturbed

Trending on billboard.

The touring news comes just 10 days ahead of the May 12 release of The Album , the Jonas Brothers’ first record since 2019’s Happiness Begins . Kevin, Joe and Nick have effectively been working toward The Tour since February, when they staged a five-night run of intimate shows on Broadway in New York. Each night, they played a different one of their albums, starting with 2007’s self-titled LP and ending with the live debut of The Album .

In April, the guys played two sold-out shows at Yankee Stadium in New York, both of which included run-throughs of all five of the albums spread out across five nights on Broadway two months prior. This format will now be applied to every night of The Tour , as explained by Kevin, Joe and Nick in an Instagram announcement video.

Jonas Brothers have confirmed details of a new headline North American tour for 2023 that will see the trio perform in stadiums and arenas across the continent.

The new tour marks the trio’s most ambitious live outing yet. Each and every date will see the band perform five of its albums in full, following successful runs of the format at a sold-out Broadway engagement and a one-off night at London’s Royal Albert Hall .

The dates will begin with the previously announced pair of shows at New York’s Yankee Stadium on August 12 and 13 before continuing on across the US and Canada. Stops will be made at the likes of Toronto’s Rogers Centre, Chicago’s Wrigley Field, Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium, and more. The run will then wrap up on October 14 at Miami’s Kaseya Center.

Recently, Jonas Brothers was also recently confirmed to be heading back to London this summer to perform as part of the Capital FM Summertime Ball with Barclaycard . The annual summer concert will take place at Wembley Stadium on June 11 and will feature some of the biggest names in pop music.

If You Bought Jonas Brothers Tickets Behind The Stage, Don't Worry

The Jonas Brothers released their sixth studio album Friday, too . The Album is finally out, featuring singles "Wings" and "Waffle House." Be sure to listen to it below and prepare for "The Tour" — tickets are on sale now .

Jonas Brothers returned in February with “Wings,” the single that launched a new era for the band. The Album will be Kevin, Joe, and Nick’s first body of work since 2019’s Happiness Begins , which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and included the band’s smash-hit “Sucker.”

On Friday, the trio revealed the official music video for their newest single, “Waffle House.” Shot in London, the video follows the band as they take a dance party from an underground nightclub to the city streets to their recent sold-out show at the iconic Royal Albert Hall.

The Album comes out on May 12 via Republic Records.

Jonas Brothers

The Jonas Brothers were first asked to play Yankee Stadium in 2008. It was just a couple of years into their pop star fame.

“At that point it was like this meteoric rise for us over a two-year period,” Nick Jonas says. “I don’t think we believed we could sell it. So we told our management team, ‘We’re too nervous. We should play somewhere else.’”

Nick teases that there will be surprise guests just before the intermissions start at the Yankee Stadium shows. “They’re very famous,” he says. “The surprise is going to be combination of different things that don’t necessarily include us. In other words, I will be excited to be watching this moment from backstage and seeing how the audience reacts.”

The three also revealed they originally wanted to do a Subway Series of concerts with shows at Yankee Stadium and the Mets’ Citi Field. Joe says, “Unfortunately, the Mets stadium was booked.”

One can’t talk about concerts these days without addressing the recent — and often very dangerous — trend of audiences throwing things at artists on stage. “It’s unfortunate these things keep happening,” Nick says. “It’s important to tell everyone that it’s very dangerous to do that and it should not continue. I don’t understand it. I can’t begin to understand it.”

Joe jokes, “I’ll have my baseball bat to hit it back.”

It yielded the history-making, 5x-Platinum smash “Sucker,” which minted them as “the first group in the 21 st century to debut at #1 on the Hot 100,” exploded as the “longest running #1 Pop Airplay Single of 2019,” and received a GRAMMY® Award nomination in the category of “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.” Bowing at #1 on the Billboard 200, Happiness Begins impressively scored the “biggest sales week of 2019 at time of release” and housed the Double-Platinum “Only Human” and Platinum “Cool.” The band supported the album with the worldwide “ Happiness Begins Tour ”—selling over 1.2 million tickets—and the Amazon Original documentaries Chasing Happiness and Happiness Continues.

Along the way, the members simultaneously juggled prolific solo careers extending into television, film, and successful business ventures. In 2023, Jonas Brothers once again proved they are a constant force, embarking on a new era with the release of The Album , via Republic Records. The Album was produced by Jon Bellion and features hit singles “Waffle House” and “Wings.” In support of the new album and this new era for Jonas Brothers, they kicked off “ The Tour ” with two sold-out shows at New York’s iconic Yankee Stadium on August 12 th and 13 th , 2023. “ The Tour ” includes stadium and arena dates around the globe through 2024, resulting in the band’s biggest and most extensive tour to date.
