Hello World at Fountain Gate booked us in for a 7 night cruise to Hobart leaving on 29th Dec 2023. We went to finalise our booking to find that there was no cruise until 2024. The travel consultant was apologetic for her mistake, but wasn’t prepared to give us anything for our heart ache, disappointment and mental anguish. We were ready to leave the next day, and to celebrate an end to a stressful year😢😢😢😡😡😡😡 Everything that we had put in place for the week away had to be cancelled Very disappointed and all they could do for us was say sorry. Our plans for NYE were spoiled. After a call and an email we did receive a refund Very poor customer service

Do NOT do business with this group
Do not do business with this group. They don't only rip off travellers but businesses also. How they got a contract with the Australian Government is beyond me. Federal Public Service staff booked out our WHOLE property for almost a week ( 6 Apartments) and we haven't seen a cent, coming up 3 weeks. They assured us they would pay the day after check out. Communication has been deplorable, you cant speak to anyone. Email assurances it will be paid are empty promises as each promise fails to materialise. Next step, complaint to the Federal Department directly and media! They should be stripped of their contract.

Booked a scandanavian tour with hello world Melton who they used Ben tours. Paid cash. Ben tours went under and I had to repay all accommodation and transfers. They will not refund me any extra cost that I had endured and I even went to the business manager and was told I'm sorry that there is no positive result in the matter. Others who booked similar trips through other helloworld travel stores either got reimbursed or transferred to another tour operator at no cost. Will not use again!!!

Whenever I had a query about my bookings at helloworld surrey Hills in Melbourne they would promise to get back to me but never would. When my tickets were finally delivered they couldn’t even get my name correct on one of them. Just another reason to avoid travel agents and do the bookings yourself

Booked travel through Helloworld who…
Booked travel through Helloworld who used Bentours for different parts of the tour. Bentours now in receivership here we are mid trip having to fund all of the costs again. Helloworld we paid you yet now have to pay all over again so far $4000 and more to come you should be covering this not us. Other travellers advise their agencies covering them. Not good!

Went into helloworld at Southport to get info on flights and accommodation to Thailand. After a wait was served by a woman that didn't really want to help us at all.left with no flight info or prices, and a small list of accommodation over there. Went around to escape travel and they could not do more for us. Going into today to book our holiday with escape travel.

Usually I am not type of guy who write reviews, but after my experience with Helloworld Murgeshplaya,, My humble request to everyone to DO NOT prefer this place, I have stayed there for more than a year, I have paid my rent for 4 months (which is 9 K)in Covid pandemic even though I am not staying there, I was there in my Home town. When I finally decided to move out permanently, They have not paid my token deposit which 9 K again. after enormous email threads I have received 478 rs from my 9K. This happened almost everyone, For your belief I am attaching docs for you . I have vacated on August 1, I have received amount on November. Since I am far away from Bangalore, I cannot do more than this review

Booked holiday for 2020 but had to cancel because of Covid. Eventually received refunds however, before we received our money the agent deducted what she considered a fair penalty without any consultation. This agency has now shut their doors for good, nice one Helloworld.

Competitive Quotes Upfront Comparisons
One the most annoying aspects of booking online are websites that are coy about prices. They will only reveal price of a single itinerary after a lengthy process, which must be repeated to access any other available options. Hello world only requires dates and destinations. It is then much easier to select the most appropriate flight from the list of all the available options, neatly tabulated by airline. Searches do not fall over or end with cryptic messages, which makes booking a breeze. It is much easier to then compare flight times, stopovers and routes.

Where's the baggage information?
I couldn't find see any information about whay baggage my ticket allowed, not before or after i bought it. I got a confirmation call around 7pm from Helloworld which is ok but they also couldn't tell me about baggage with my ticket. He may have been in a different department but just display the information... i had to nearly yell to get his attention to stop him from just hanging up before i could ask him. But i guess i have a ticket for an ok price so that is good

Previously for years upon years I have used you site for International travel, those days are over. Other sites offer more options with flight times and pricing that is much lower. I have book the return tickets from Perth to Kuala lumpur. I was shocked when i received the confirmation. Because flights was switched ( on confirmation its shows that we are travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Perth return). I have called the customer services and received the terrible response. They said that i have to pay $40 website fee and $51 airline fee and then fare difference fee. That was $240 for per passenger. I have a question for our Department Australian Consumer affairs that why these companies are running their business ..Department should have to cancel their Lic. I am going for an official complaint. I think that the Department need to revise all the reviews from top to bottom.

doing a booking online does not work for me
i was doing a multi flight booking but when i reached the fourth leg .. i was not able to continue .. i messaged the website and was informed i would need to do extra bookings .. hence creating a new pnr .. which will make it very awkward when checking on with baggage when transits are being ustilised .. so i have decided to use alternate means on the internet to do the booking .. maybe the sooner the problem is rectified .. the better

As it appears we are unable to accommodate your specific needs; more than four stop overs; at the present time we can recommend your using one of our in store travel agents as an alternate option. We hope that you will revisit and book with us for other travel as it may arise.
I paid $1,236 for a return flight Sydney to Paris, it then cost Helloworld $2,552 to rectify the errors they made with my booking. They even wanted me to pay for their errors with a refund after "upper management" approval. They offered me a $100 hotel voucher as "goodwill" and then sent a $75 one ! I have donated the voucher cost back to them to use towards customer service training. Do yourself a favour and use a reputable on line travel provider, most will price match Helloworld's prices and without incompetent and arrogant handling of your booking.

I had worst experience in Hello world. The workers and customer care people won't respond as in good manner at the timing of joining they will take deposit on time but when we vacate they won't refund it on time if we consult them through Call they will say please contact customer care and if we contact them every time they will respond as by saying we raised a ticket and work is in progress. Its almost two moths till now i haven't received my refund and the workers are also Rude. I suggest don't go for it as its price is very high and no good service will be provide for you. once of the worst organization. I had very bad experience with this organization.

Commission driven and inefficient
We booked a hotel online; when we arrived to the hotel late a night to find they didnt have the booking and to top it off were full. To then be told by helloworld after the poor hotel had done all the work ringing around to find us a bed they would refund and just go to the next hotel to see if the booking was done was appalling. We had to insist that this wasn't good enough and then be put on hold for 45 minutes while they negotiated with the other hotel we were shattered. We will never ever recommend this OTA to anyone at any time and will happily and unreservedly share our experience with our tourism industry colleagues.

They don't respond to you at all
They don't respond to you at all, neither to calls nor mail, I had to call 10 times a day to get mine answered and you won't believe, they will reveal all the deductions later and all you get of your refund is nothing. And I got refund after 5 good months after I vacated. Never ever take their service, believe me, you would regret it

Worst experience with a travel agent.
The online contact centre in the Philippines would have to be the worst contact centre in the world for a travel agency. They are wasters of time and do not have a shred of professionalism in their bodies. They will never give their word, to call you back, Always give you misleading information. Had to go to the department of fair trading to get a resolution on a booking, after nearly a fortnight of hundreds of calls, and emails fell on deaf ears and blind eyes. Do not deal with them. I certainly will not. EVER AGAIN!

No Customer Service!
Absolutely no access to customer service, I've been trying to get through to the phone number provided on the website and the one in the helloworld store and nothing! I've been trying tor 2 weeks now, and apparently the helloworld store has nothing to do with the online purchase of tickets! I need to change my ticket, that is all. I can't imagine the stress I would feel if I was overseas and stuck! Can't even get through to anyone to make a simple date change :(

STILL WAITING FOR CRUISE REFUND
My grandson and I were book on a cruise in April 2020 but was cancelled due to Covid-19. Paid a total amount of $3,400 for airfares and cruise received an refund of $580 in May 2020 for airfares and the breakdown in July 2020. Come the ninth of October 2020 receive a different breakdown of airfares and finally a breakdown of the cruise fares. Stating the cruise refund is $2,790.26 that's the amount I am yet to receive.
