The Vault Tour is a series of top level KeyForge Organized Play tournaments held throughout Europe and North America. Vault Tours are open to all players and all decks, and any tournament legal set can be used.

Usually held throughout a weekend, Vault Tours attract hundreds of players to play in one or two main events and numerous side events. The main events are always two day tournaments: a Day 1 consisting of multiple Swiss rounds, with the best players progressing to a Day 2 single elimination top cut.

2023 Season

The first Vault Tour to be held after the Ghost Galaxy acquisition of KeyForge was located in Philadelphia, PA (USA). Vault Tours in the US are no longer run by a third party, but rather are organized directly by Ghost Galaxy, while international events are organized through partners. The Vault Tours followed a format established at KeyForge Celebration 2023; Friday night featured a Sealed Alliance event, Saturday featured the elimination rounds of the main Archon and Alliance events, and Sunday featured the Top 8 finals of the main events.

2019-2020 Season

The first Vault Tours were held in March 2019 in Eindhoven (NL) and Seattle (WA). Vault Tours in the US were initially run by Cascade Games, but from September 2019 are run by Yeti Gaming. In adaptive finals, the winner's deck was not always the deck that won most games in the final.

The winner of each Vault Tour was to be awarded free flight and accommodation for a later Vault Tour. Unlike the announced VaultWarrior series and current Vault Tours, no cash prizes were awarded at Vault Tours.

Æmbershards and power levels were awarded to all participating players and decks. Æmbershards from all Vault Tours count towards the Vault Tour Leaderboard .

Invites to the 2020 KeyForge World Championships event were to be awarded to the Top 100 players on the Vault Tour Leaderboard after the Sealed Solo event at Fort Worth, TX, USA on Feb. 6-9. 2020. If a player at any point entered the Top 100 by participating in a subsequent Vault Tour before Worlds 2020 (at the time, there were 4 scheduled Vault Tours between the Fort Worth event and the World Championships), they would also receive an invite. After the World 2020 Championships, the Vault Tour 2019-20 season would conclude and the leaderboard was to be reset.

Each Vault Tour also featured a Prize Wall where players could redeem Æmbershards for unique prizes. At the time, it was the only way to redeem Æmbershards gained by discovering decks in the Master Vault, as well as playing at Vault Tours and all other events within KeyForge Organized Play.

At the Collinsville VT in September, George Keagle became the first two-time Vault Tour winner, winning for the second time with the same deck. Jakub Nosal was the second player to achieve this, just a few weeks later at the Madrid VT. In November, Nova Westlake became the first player to win both an Archon and a Sealed Vault Tour (thus, winning with two different decks).

The final events of the 2019-20 season were to be held on the weekend of April 24-26 in Hannover, Germany and Alameda, California, USA.

Meta and analysis

The Vault Tour meta is always changing as new sets are released. For both the Call of the Archons and Age of Ascension periods, house Shadows was extremely dominant among Vault Tour top cuts, with Dis as the second most successful house. The card Urchin was the most common card among decks that reached top 16 or higher at a Vault Tour until the release of Worlds Collide . After the release of the third set, however, house Saurian replaced Shadows as the most successful house among Vault Tour top cuts.

“Such a fun spooky tour to do while in the city. Our guide shared all the nitty gritty stories of the area and was very captivating!”

ROSEVILLE VAULT TOUR DATE CHANGE:

Following our announcement of the Vault Tour locations and dates, we became aware of a large-scale event in the Minneapolis area that conflicted with our selected date. We worked to resolve this without any changes, but felt it would hurt our community’s ability to attend if we pushed through with the selected date. Ultimately, we made the decision to push back the Roseville date to August 18-20 . The new schedule goes as follows:

2023 U.S. Vault Tour Locations

  • July 7-9, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania @ Delta Hotels By Marriott Philadelphia Airport

With nearly 900 years of history, Edinburgh survived plagues, witchcraft, grave robbers, and so much more dark history. Want to learn more and find out more about the ghosts that haunt Edinburgh? Check out one of the ghost tours down below.

The 13 Best Ghost Tours in Edinburgh, Scotland

1. auld reekie tours.

Head down to Edinburgh’s haunted vaults by taking the Edinburgh: Underground Vaults Tour . This is one of the best ghost tours in Edinburgh and offers a unique experience as you head into the vaults.

The Edinburgh: Underground Vaults Tour begins with a walk around Edinburgh’s historic Old Town, where you will hear tales of the terrifying Tolbooth Prison that once sat outside St. Giles Cathedral.

Before heading down to the haunted vaults, you will pass through a small museum that features an array of medieval instruments once used on real people in the past. Finally, you can find out what a scold’s bridle was used for!

The tour takes you down to the South Bridge vaults, where you will see the infamous stone circle vault . The stone circle is said to hold an evil presence. If you step inside the circle, you may regret it! (I stepped inside, and I am fine if that makes you feel better, or am I?!)

And, to top it off, the vaults are home to a former witch’s coven, so if you are interested in witchcraft history in Scotland , this is the tour to take.

What makes this tour even better? While listening to more ghost stories, you will drink some delectable Scotch Whisky in a candlelit vault.

One thing that makes this one of the best ghost tours in Edinburgh is they provide headphones to listen to the tour guide so that you won’t miss out on any of the spooky stories.

9. City of the Dead Tours

Visit the incredibly haunted Covenators Prison with the City of the Dead’s Double Dead Tour . This is the only tour that takes you to the locked-up area of Edinburgh’s Greyfriars Kirkyard. Why is the prison locked up? The ghosts that haunt the area are brutal, and tour guests often leave with scratches, bruises or feeling unwell.

Then, head down to the South Bridge Vaults, where you may meet the evil presence known as the South Bridge Entity. The vaults are terrifying and give off a creepy vibe. This gives the South Bridge Vaults the perfect spooky atmosphere for people who love to be scared.

10. City of the Dead Tours

The Underground City of the Dead Vault Tour takes you to vaults known as Damnation Alley. The vaults were recently unsealed, and a dark poltergeist was discovered to haunt them.

The Hunt: First Edition and How It’s Helping Us Plan for Future Roblox-wide Events

by Matt Curtis, Vice President of Developer Relations

  • The Hunt: First Edition attracted 34 million users who spent 128 million hours completing 212 million quests.
  • 100 creator teams built new quests showcasing a diverse range of experiences.
  • Our users and creators provided valuable insights that will make future community-wide events even better.

For two great weeks last month, 34 million Roblox users tackled brand-new quests across 100 of our creator experiences as part of The Hunt: First Edition , our first community-wide event in three years. It was a success based on many metrics, including the 212 million quests our users completed and the 800,000 users gathered for the start of the event. The extensive engagement we saw from users and creators makes us excited about the future of community-wide events on Roblox. And, the invaluable insights we collected will help us plan them going forward.

We designed the Hunt: First Edition, which ran from March 15 on mobile, PC, console, and VR, with something for everyone. Users interested in dipping their toes into participating could earn a reward after just five quests. Those eager for exclusive and rare rewards completed even more quests. And the most intrepid explorers earned the coveted Infinite Egg — a nod to the beloved egg hunts we’ve run in the past on Roblox — after completing at least 95 quests.

Here are some of the biggest highlights from the two weeks of The Hunt: First Edition:

  • 100 of our top experiences had brand-new quests, including Doors by LSPLASH, Arsenal by ROLVe, Piggy by MiniToon, and Catalog Avatar Creator by ItsMuneeeb.
  • Video Star influencers put together incredible livestreams, never-before-seen collaborations, and a ton of hype content throughout the event. That included handing out Hunt-exclusive gold Vault Headphones to users who joined them in the event hub.
  • We were excited to see so much fan-made content emerge. For example, users created guides on the hardest and easiest quests to complete, as well as tips and tricks on how to beat quests.

The Hunt: First Edition is the latest example of what’s possible when our creators and users come together. Many in our community have great memories of popular hunts in the past like Metaverse Champions in 2021.

That was especially powerful in showcasing and driving discovery of our creators’ fantastic experiences. Since then, we’ve listened to and heard our community’s feedback that events like this are important for them. “It’s awesome to see an official event back on the platform,” said MegaSquadMo , one of our Video Star members. “The effort some games put in was amazing. Watching the community come together to help each other complete badge quests and unlock avatar items was really cool after such a long break. Hoping this sets the stage for even better events in the future!”

So think of The Hunt: First Edition as a lightweight re-entry into community-wide events. In the coming months and years, we’ll continue our new series and explore fresh themes and ideas that will rev up our community.

Looking Into the Future

We learned a ton from The Hunt: First Edition and we’re already thinking about how to apply those lessons to future events. Throughout the process, our community provided valuable feedback on what energized them and the iterations they’d like to see in future community events. Among the insights that will help us plan great future community events:

  • Users loved trying out a broad range of new experiences.
  • They appreciated the nod to past events, including the Infinite Egg, for those who completed 95 quests.
  • Getting our creator and influencer communities involved in advance helped get them excited and, in turn, to reach out to their players and audiences. That drove more engagement.
  • We’ll work closely with creators in the future to define best practices for events like these.

But there’s still more to learn from last month’s hunt. That’s why Roblox founder and CEO, David Baszucki, will invite a user who heavily participated in the Hunt and the creator team behind one of the quests for The Hunt: First Edition to our headquarters in San Mateo, California to provide feedback. There, they’ll have dinner and put their heads together at a product planning brainstorming session based on their experiences during last month’s event.

We love that Roblox is driven by our community’s amazing creativity. The Hunt: First Edition was a great example of where our creators can take our platform when we empower them to take the lead. “We saw amazing engagement across several of our games, sometimes from players who haven’t played in years,” said alertcoderf, CEO of Twin Atlas . “It was a great opportunity to show them everything that’s changed since they last played!”

We’re now working on new tools to help our creators hold their own events tied to major moments they want to share with their audiences. In the meantime, we will continue learning from our ever-evolving community, and we can’t wait for the next iteration of The Hunt. So stay tuned!

The Ultimate Private Tour of Egypt’s Hidden Treasures

  • A chance for two people to see behind the scenes of Egypt’s greatest monuments in a single trip.
  • One-on-one access to the world’s foremost Egyptologists.
  • Private tours and experiences, including at the new Grand Egyptian Museum.
  • Five-star hotel accommodation and a luxury Nile cruise.

Many travelers come to Egypt to see some of the wonders of the world, but few if any will have the chance for the intimate engagement with everything from the sphinx to Luxor Temple similar to this.

Naturally, you’ll see all the major sights, from Cairo to the pyramids, Aswan to Abu Simbel, and the temples that line the Nile. How you’ll see them, though, is the truly exceptional part of this trip.

In the company of your private guide, you’ll visit tombs that are only open to VIPs both in Giza and the Valley of the Kings, such as those of Horemheb and Wahtye, as well as a dinner at the Luxor Temple with private entertainment. At the Sphinx, you’ll have a private meeting with one of the country’s top Egyptologists, such as Dr. Zahi Hawass or Dr. Mostafa Waziri—both stars of the recent Netflix documentary Unknown: The Lost Pyramid —and explore areas of the site off-limits to the public.

At Cairo’s three major museums, including the new Grand Egyptian Museum, you’ll take private tours with curators after-hours. Your tour of the GEM will include breakfast inside the museum itself after your visit. While visiting the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, where 22 royal mummies are on display, you’ll be whisked behind the scenes to visit its restoration lab, where conservators work to preserve and stabilize remains—an experience entirely closed to the public.

Every night of this 11-night program for one couple will be spent in one of Egypt’s most luxurious accommodations. For five nights in Cairo, your base will be the Four Seasons Nile Plaza or the St. Regis , while for two nights in Aswan you’ll stay at the Sofitel Legend Old Cataract , with its vast gardens. Between those two stays, your home for four nights will be a luxury boat on the Nile, whether you prefer a modern five-star vessel such as Oberoi’s Zahra or a classic sailing barge, or dahabiya , equipped with every amenity.

Silent Slayer: Vault of the Vampire (Meta Quest 3) Review

O ne aspect of gaming in VR that lends itself particularly well to the medium is the freedom of 3D movement and the level of immersion it offers when observing things up close and getting hands-on.

In other words, if you’re a fan of puzzle games , consider getting your hands on a VR headset like the Meta Quest 3. Now, if you’re like me and enjoy a good horror game or have any affinity with vampires, Silent Slayer: Vault of the Vampire is an essential puzzle experience worth picking up.

There is a scene in the original Dracula novel that is seared into my memory when Johnathan Harker discovers the titular Count asleep in his coffin after gorging himself on blood, describing him as a filthy leech, his blood-bloated body more animal than man. Thankfully, thanks to its highly stylized and cartoonish aesthetic, Silent Slayer doesn’t get quite as bloody and visceral, but more importantly, it captures the dark and macabre essence of what makes Dracula, and vampires in general, so blood-curdlingly appealing.

For the uninitiated, Silent Slayer: Vault of the Vampire is a puzzle game in which the player must get through and hunt 10 increasingly difficult chambers that house notable vampiric threats sleeping in their coffin just prior to a big revival—adding to the tension of having to quickly deal with the undead threat that awaits.

“Instead of trying to keep your patient alive, like in Operation , Silent Slayer , instead, wants you to take out your slumbering undead target as quietly and as efficiently as possible.”

If you’ve played games like Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes or newer releases like the I Expect You To Die series, you probably have a good understanding of how VR puzzlers tend to rely on getting the player to really get in there and feel out solutions by using their hands and finding clues within their immediate environment. Silent Slayer is no exception, but if I had to describe it in a single sentence, I would compare it to the classic children’s board game Operation .

Instead of trying to keep your patient alive, as in Operation, Silent Slayer wants you to take out your slumbering undead target as quietly and efficiently as possible. Levels in Silent Slayer begin with a preamble about the current vampire you’re about to slay, provided to the player by an enchanted tome that will aid you throughout the game. As you learn more about your target, you will be given a binding stone to reassemble or an object that will allow you to make contact with the vampire and get things started.

Essentially, the Bind Stones in the game are your 3D assembly-based puzzles, which start off relatively simply, with only a handful of pieces that need to be fit together in 3D space, but by the end of Silent Slayer’s 10-level campaign, can get quite complex, demanding the player to really take the time to map out and take advantage of the depth granted by the VR environment to successfully piece together the Bind Stone before moving on.

In addition to the Bind Stone section, the first five to six levels within Silent Slayer: Vault of the Vampire introduce new items and mechanics required to slay your target, including keys, pry tools, a hook, stakes, blades and magic-imbued runes.

After completing the Bind Stone puzzle, the player is transported to the vampire’s chamber. All the vampires share distinct coffins that the player must first pry open before doing the dark deed at hand. Things start relatively simple, only requiring the player to unbuckle a few shackles that take the form of large rectangular metal blocks on the facade of the coffin, which require a deft hand to gently slide and place on the table next to the player before moving on.

After opening the coffin, the player must examine the sleeping vampire using a special rune stone in the shape of a heart, which vibrates when in close proximity to the target’s heart. Once found, the player must trace the stake in a particular pattern, one found on the Binding Stones, before entering the vampire’s chamber. Finally, after sussing out the heart and tracing out the encantation, the player can drive the stake into the vampire’s heart, completing the level.

Visually, Silent Slayer: Vault of the Vampire is one of the better-looking Quest games I’ve seen, with objects and character models looking razor sharp on my Quest 3, making it an enjoyable experience both in full VR and its mixed reality mode, which transforms your play space into the haunts of some genuinely spooky vampires with the bonus of a fun colour filter that tints the world around you in a miasma of murky reds and browns, often feeling like you’re inside a jar of formaldehyde on the shelf of some deranged madman .

“Ultimately, your enjoyment of Silent Slayer: Vault of the Vampire will boil down to your tolerance for puzzle games, particularly ones that require time, as rushed play inevitably leads to death.”

After level 3 or so, things get a lot more complex, with each coffin requiring more and more steps before getting to stake your target. Coffins often feature bolts that must be gently pried open (sometimes in tandem), locks that are obscured behind traps, that can only be shimmied out by touch alone, with some of the later stages even featuring multiple locks that first need to match the pattern on the coffin, all of which is just to open the coffin in the first place.

Once the coffin is open, getting to the killing phase is another story. Later levels feature lasers, moving and pulsating wires that require the player to wait before cutting, and, worst of all, the Waking Idols, little demonic puppets that act as watchdogs for their sleeping masters, alerting and ending your hunt early if alerted by your presence.

My biggest issue with Silent Slayer is how quickly and brutally the game can get when it comes to prematurely ending a level due to the alarms going off and waking up your target. Things start relatively forgiving, allowing the player to make a mistake or two without issue, with the game only ending when you make several in quick succession, which is fair, but by the end, it can be frustrating to get through the tedium of cracking open a coffin, only to lose because you accidentally grazed the coffin with your hand or worse yet, the tracking goes off kilter causing the game to register a movement, ending the run early.

Adding a difficulty slider would be welcome, perhaps one that grants some checkpoints in between different phases of the level, something that would go a long way in alleviating the frustration found in the later half of the game. Ultimately, your enjoyment of Silent Slayer: Vault of the Vampire will boil down to your tolerance for puzzle games, particularly ones that require time, as rushed play inevitably leads to death.

Jerry kelly is playing through chemo drugs, still in hunt at american family insurance championship, share this article.

MADISON, Wisc. – In advance of the U.S. Senior Open at SentryWorld in Stevens Point last summer, Jerry Kelly talked about having to play through a wrist issue – an odd one where it was going out of joint, and how inflamed it felt despite his best efforts at rehabilitation.

Just about a year later, as he readied for the American Family Insurance Championship that started Friday at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Kelly acknowledged that inflammation had spread to other joints – to the point where he couldn’t get out of bed, or a chair.

Kelly, 57, sought out a cause and testing discovered that he had rheumatoid arthritis. The autoimmune disease causes the immune system to attack healthy cells by mistake, causing inflammation in joints. Kelly also said the testing revealed lyme disease, which in its late stages can also cause swelling in joints.

The Madison native said he has been put on a regimen of the chemotherapy drug methotrexate and is in his eighth week of treatment.

“Small levels compared to what normal chemo patients take,” Kelly said Thursday. “It’s just kind of a first line of defense trying to get those white blood cells that are killing you from the inside, they’re eating healthy tissue. Got to my lungs, got to my esophagus, my stomach. It didn’t get to my heart, which that’s one place that it gets to, so I’m thankful for that. I went through a week in Newport (in March) where I couldn’t eat. Anything that I ate was just getting attacked from the inside. I feel like my lungs are getting a little bit better.

“It’s taken a lot of muscle away from me, and the fatigue is real. You know, I just felt a couple times where I couldn’t get the adrenaline up for tournaments. You know, I have a hard time playing without adrenaline.”

Kelly has kept playing, and the AmFam Championship is his 11th start of 2024 on the PGA Tour Champions. He tied for second in his tournament, the Cologuard Classic in Tucson, Arizona, and has two other top-10 finishes.

He opened on Friday with a 69 and joked after a putt that he might need a few cocktails.

“I made a 20-footer for par on 10. I’d like to say it got me fired up, but I actually said, ‘I’m going to start drinking tonight.’ The next thing you know, I made four in a row,” he joked after the opening round. “Again, it’s smoke and mirrors out there again. I didn’t feel like my body responded very well.

“I know I’m jumpy, but that’s ridiculous, a little explosion on every shot, doesn’t matter if it’s driver or a putt. So, you know, battled through it and see if I can shoot a couple low ones, who knows.”

Some of Kelly’s statistics have been impressive. He’s leading the tour in driving accuracy and scrambling and is sixth in actual scoring average and seventh in greens in regulation. An indicator for his loss of strength, however, might be the fact he is 57th in driving distances (269.7 yards).

“I’m used to, in tournament mode, just thinking of what I want to do and my muscles will actually cooperate, connect with my brain, let my autonomous system kind of take over and it comes out,” he said. “There’s a bit of a disconnect there right now. That’s what I have to fight through. I may have to talk it out more, I have to be clearer about what’s going on because one thing comes into my head and I forget about everything else that I really need to do. There’s some things that I may need to change with my pre-shot to be crystal clear. And I’m bouncing around all the time, I’m changing shots when I’m over the ball.

“That’s why I’m so jumpy, because I’m reacting to everything, I’m not just being kind of a robot swinger. That’s hurting me. I think it’s hurting me because I don’t have the strength, I can’t save it as much. It’s just different, you know? If I can relax on myself a little bit more, I think that part will come back, but as anybody knows that gets any kind of a diagnosis, you go through a little bit of an anger phase and that’s either going to make you fight or flight. It’s going to make me fight. I’ve just got to find my way mentally through that kind of situation, not get down on myself and really get it done.”

Kelly hoped a return to his hometown – and a course and tournament where he is a two-time champion – can give him some extra juice. But even with some physical obstacles perhaps stacking the odds against him in a talented field, the fiery ex-hockey player has never shied away from a challenge.

“I’m not going to quit,” Kelly said. “I’ve gotten down on myself fairly hard because my body’s not responding to my brain, things like that. There’s a little disconnect going on and that bothers me, but there’s still – there’s still the fight.

“As long as there’s a fight left to be fought, I’m going to be in the mix, I’m going to be in the middle of it. So I expect myself to play well this week. It’s a course that I really like. I’m going to try and find a way, that’s all I’m going to try and do every single week, every single day. Yeah, I’ve got a few years to figure it all out.”

On Saturday, Kelly posted another 3-under 69 and is tied for fourth, three shots back of the lead.
