Balod is a town on the Tandula River and a nagar palika in the Balod district of Chhattisgarh , India. Dhamtari is 44 kilometres away, while Durg is 58 kilometres away. Balod features a college, a court, a community health centre, and a prison. Balod has excellent medical facilities. It is the Gurudwara with the largest Sarovar (water pond) of all the Gurudwaras. This temple has a glorious joy and an enthralling history. Originally, Ganga Maiya temple was built in the shape of a modest house by a local fisherman. Several devotees contributed significantly to the building of a decent temple complex. Because it is located on the Balod – Durg route, it is quite easy to approach the temple from any district in Chhattisgarh.

siyadevitemple SiyaDevi Temple is located in Chhattisgarh’s Balod district. This location is well-known for Sita Maiya’s temple, which is nestled in the lush foliage of a natural rainforest. The temple is rather old, and there is a natural waterfall nearby. It is said that Lord Rama, together with Laxman and Sita, visited this location during his exile. The dam is ideal for a picnic and is particularly gorgeous at sunrise and dusk.

बालोद छत्तीसगढ़ का एक प्रमुख जिला है। बालोद तांदुला नदी के किनारे स्थित है।  बालोद जिले का निर्माण 1 जनवरी 2012 को हुआ था।  1 जनवरी 2012 को इसे जिले का दर्जा हासिल हुआ। इसके पहले यह दुर्ग जिले का एक भाग हुआ करता था। बालोद जिला पहाड़ों और जंगलों से घिरा हुआ है। आपको यहां देखने के लिए बहुत सारी जगह मिलती है। चलिए जानते हैं बालोद शहर में कौन-कौन सी जगह घूमने लायक है। 

बालोद में घूमने की जगह Balod me ghumne ki jagah

तांदुला जलाशय बालोद -  tandula reservoir balod.

तांदुला बांध बालोद शहर का एक मुख्य पर्यटन स्थल है। यह जलाशय बहुत सुंदर है। यहां पर दो जलाशय हैं - एक तांदुला जलाशय एक सूखा जलाशय। दोनों जलाशय बहुत सुंदर है। दोनों जलाशय एक दूसरे से जुड़े हुए हैं। यहां पर आपको बहुत सुंदर दृश्य देखने के लिए मिलता है। यह जलाशय बालोद शहर से 5 किलोमीटर दूर स्थित है। 

तांदुला जलाशय  तांदुला  एवं सूखा नदी पर बने हुए हैं। यह जलाशय 1912 में बनाया गया था। यह मुख्य तौर पर सिंचाई के लिए बनाया गया है। मगर यह पर्यटन के लिए भी एक मुख्य जगह है। यहां पर बरसात के समय बहुत सारे लोग घूमने के लिए आते हैं। बरसात के समय यहां पर हरियाली रहती है। यह जलाशय मुख्य रूप से दुर्ग जिले में पीने के पानी को उपलब्ध कराता है और पानी की कमी को दूर करता है। आप बालोद जिले में घूमने के लिए आते हैं, तो आप इस जलाशय में भी घूमने के लिए आ सकते हैं। यह बालोद शहर में घूमने लायक जगह है। 

गोंदली जलाशय बालोद -  Gondli Reservoir Balod

गोंदली जलाशय बालोद शहर का एक प्रमुख पर्यटन स्थल है। यह जलाशय भी बहुत सुंदर है। यह जलाशय पहाड़ियों से घिरा हुआ है। यह जलाशय मुख्य रूप से सिंचाई के लिए बनाया गया है। यहां पर आकर घूम सकते हैं। बरसात के समय यहां पर आना बहुत ही अच्छा लगता है, क्योंकि चारों तरफ हरियाली रहती है। 

चितवा डोंगरी गुफा बालोद -  Chitwa Dongri Cave Balod

चितवा डोंगरी बालोद शहर का एक सुंदर स्थल है। यह पर एक मंदिर देखने के लिए मिलता है। यह मंदिर गुफा के अंदर बनाया हुआ है और यह प्राकृतिक गुफा है। यह एक सिद्ध क्षेत्र है। यह गुफा पहाड़ी के ऊपर स्थित है। यहां पर पहुंचने के लिए आपको चढ़ाई करनी पड़ती है। यह जगह बालोद के सहगांव के पास में स्थित है। आप यहां पर घूमने के लिए आ सकते हैं। यहां से आपको गोंदली जलाशय का बहुत सुंदर दृश्य देखने के लिए मिलता है। यहां पर चारों तरफ हरियाली भी देखने के लिए मिलती है। बरसात के समय यहां पर आना बहुत अच्छा लगता है।

Baloda Bazar is a district in Chattisgarh , which came into existence on the first of January, 2012. It is believed that the district was named after ‘ bail ‘ (bull), ‘ boda ‘ (mule) and ‘ bazaar ‘ (market). Obvious from the name, this place is famous for its cattle market, also known as the bhais parsa market . It is one of the most ancient settlements in the history of India. Virginia placed fifth in the final standings for the 2023-2024 LEARFIELD Directors' Cup, a competition between all Division I schools that compares each athletic program's finishes in NCAA Championships across all sports. UVA finished with 1,066.25 points, good for fifth place nationally and first among schools in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Powered by a fourth-consecutive NCAA women's swimming & diving championship , Final Four appearances in both field hockey and men's lacrosse , a fifth-place finish in men's golf , and another trip to the College World Series in baseball , Virginia placed in the top five for the second year in a row (4th in 2022-2023) and for the fourth time in the 31 years the LEARFIELD Directors' Cup has been awarded. UVA is one of only 10 schools in the country to rank in the top 30 in every year of the Directors' Cup's existence.

“We had another incredible season in competition and in the classroom,” said UVA director of athletics Carla Williams. “Our student-athletes, coaches and staff continue to perform at the highest level while representing themselves and this wonderful university with honor and integrity. Our continued excellence is a tribute to their hard work and dedication. We are so grateful for the opportunity to represent the University of Virginia.”

American Dream is the second-largest shopping mall in the United States, and includes restaurants and themed parks that provide endless fun for the whole family. “American Dream is, quite literally, an indoor vacation one-stop shop that’s open year-round,” said Vasser.

Lambertville

Full of rich history, Lambertville has well-preserved federal townhouses, Victorian homes and antique shops that brings history to life. “The charming town also supplies family-owned wineries and photogenic vantage points such as Goat Hill Overlook,” added Vasser.

Beneduce Vineyards

This 77-acre farm with 25 acres of vines are hand pruned, hand harvested and dry farmed in the rolling hills of Hunterdon County. “One of my favorites, Beneduce Vineyards, has great wine and fun year-round events such as live music and food trucks on Saturdays,” said Vasser.

Grounds for Sculpture

Grounds for Sculpture is a 42-acre landscaped park with 300 contemporary sculptures, an arboretum, and a museum with an indoor exhibitions that features six galleries.

Atlantic City

Known as the East Coast's version of Las Vegas offers travelers casinos, live entertainment, big-name restaurants with more fun attractions at the Steel Pier and the only helicopter ride at the Jersey Shore.

Frenchtown is a vibrant community full of Victorian architecture, art, and culture nestled along the banks of the Delaware River. Vasser recommends visiting during Frenchtown Riverfest. “There are all kinds of street fair activities along the river,” he said.

Cape May County Park & Zoo

The Cape May County Park & Zoo houses over 500 different animals that includes African lions, American black bears, snow leopards and ring-tailed lemurs. The zoo features playgrounds for kids of all ages and both places are free to the public. "It's truly one of the best-kept secrets in the area," said Wieland.

Asbury Park

Asbury Park has become a creative hub and music mecca within the last decade with iconic landmarks like The Stone Pony, Asbury Lanes and Silverball Retro Arcade. Asbury Park combines gaming, bowling, dining, live entertainment and of course swimming and surfing on the shore.

Adventure Aquarium

Adventure Aquarium features the largest collection of sharks on the East Coast and protects over 8,000 aquatic species, including penguins and stingrays. Visitors can interact with hundreds of sea creatures at the touch tanks. “It’s a favorite for kids of all ages, especially if you’re looking for an indoor activity,” said Wieland.

Long Beach Island

The shores of Long Beach Island are particularly lovely. Besides its scenic Atlantic Ocean coastline, vacationers go for the water sports, charming towns like Barnegat Light, and the laid-back lifestyle.

These Stunning Caribbean Caves Were Just Named One of the World’s Top Attractions by Tripadvisor

The Cayman Islands have long lured visitors to its luxurious beaches and tropical forests. But in recent years, travelers have started going underground — literally — to the Cayman Crystal Caves , which was just named one of the top attractions in the world in Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards , announced this week.

Located on the Grand Cayman Island’s Northside, the attraction opened in 2016, with 1.5-hour guided tours leading visitors through a tropical forest and three caves. Formed millions of years ago, the caves were once underwater, as proven by fossilized shells and other signs of sea life. The slow work of Mother Nature, carving out the caves drip-by-drip with rainwater on the limestone has created stunning crystal-like stalagmites and stalagtites, giving the caverns an otherworldly feel.

The tour goes through an open-ceiling cave, a root one, and perhaps the most stunning, a lake cave, illuminated with lights . There’s also a chance to spot balsam trees, air plants, and even parrots and bats in the surrounding forests. For an even more unique adventure, there's also the Dusk to Dark Evening Bat Tour , where bats fly directly over your head and away into the sunset. 

While the caves had long been there, it wasn’t until the late businessman Christian Sorensen came to the area in the 1990s to survey the caves that the idea of opening them up to the public began. After all, his father Ole Sorensen had developed Barbados’ Harrison’s Cave, and the younger Sorensen thought he might be able to recreate its success in the Cayman Islands.

According to local reports, he spent 1997 to 2011 buying land and building infrastructure for the Cayman Crystal Caves. He finally began work on the exhibit in 2012 and opened it to the public in March 2016.

Now amassing more than 2,700 five-star reviews on Tripadvisor, the Cayman Crystal Caves are the only Caribbean site to make the top 25 list, earning the No. 5 spot, after far more well-known attractions: New York City's Empire State Building in first , Paris' Eiffel Tower in second, Amsterdam's Anne Frank House in third, and Barcelona's Basilica de la Sagrada Familia in fourth. 

“This attraction was the highlight of our vacation,” one recent visitor wrote on Tripadvisor, also commenting on the tour guide’s knowledge mixed with a sense of humor. “The three caves were breathtaking and I would highly recommend this attraction if you're spending time on the island!”
