Does Facebook customer service exist? Yes, and here's how to get in touch

We hate to break the news to you: Facebook does not staff a team of customer service representatives working the phone lines to help you with a likely niche and nuanced problem. Not being able to reach another human for help can be really frustrating, but Facebook does have an extensive Help Center page with dozens of help articles.

Still, the Facebook support apparatus can be difficult to navigate.

Here is how to find the support you need using Facebook's Help Center. If the Help Center doesn’t have the answer to your questions, there are a couple of ways we suggest to get through to Facebook. 

How to access Facebook Customer Service

Log into your Facebook profile on desktop. 

Click the dropdown top in the upper-right corner

Select “Help & Support” from the drop-down menu

The menu will give you three options. 

The first is “Help Center.” 

Clicking this option will direct you to Facebook’s Help Center page, which is a searchable nexus of help articles. 

The second option you will see is “Support Inbox.” Here, you will find updates from Facebook on profiles or posts you’ve reported. 

The third option is “Report a Problem.” 

Here, you will find a couple of forms that allow you to submit feedback to Facebook and report any technical glitches or broken features. 

The forms allow you to attach and submit screenshots and screen recordings of the error.

How to use the Facebook Help Center

The Help Center will be your best resource. Here are some tips on navigating it. 

Use the search bar on the main page to type in what you need help with it. Your search will prompt Facebook’s relevant help articles.

In this case, we search for help changing our profile password. 

Select the relevant help article. 

The Help Center organizes its help articles into four different sections, which you will find in the left side column on the Help Center's home page. 

In the "Using Facebook" section you will find help with your Facebook profile page, messaging and Facebook groups. 

The "Managing Account" section offers support with your Facebook login and deactivating or deleting your account. 

You can access help keeping your Facebook account secure in the "Privacy, Safety and Security" section. 

The final "Policies and Reporting" section helps you report Facebook guidelines violations. You can also find help handling a deceased person's account in this section. 

You can also select from the six popular topic pages under the Help Center search bar

If you're looking for business support, Facebook also maintains a Business Help Center page .

The Help Center is accessible even if you're logged out. If you need help logging into your account, you can get help here. 

Other ways to reach Facebook Support

If the Help Center proves unhelpful, you can try your luck at reaching Facebook through other means. But keep in mind that these are long shots, and you might be redirected to Help Center page anyway.  

You can try tweeting or direct messaging the various Facebook Twitter accounts.

The Meta (Facebook’s freshly renamed parent company) Twitter account, the Facebook app Twitter account and the Facebook Messenger Twitter account are just a few Twitter accounts Facebook runs.

Some users have had luck getting a reply, though they were often redirected to the Help Center. 

You can also try emailing the general Facebook support email: [email protected]. Though users on Reddit have reported scant success in hearing back.

Facebook operates two phone numbers with Palo Alto, California, area codes: 650-543-4800 and 650-308-7300. But dialing these numbers will prompt a pre-recorded message directing you to Facebook's online support. 

"Unfortunately, we do not offer phone support at this time," the prerecorded message said when USA TODAY dialed the number. "Answers to most user inquiries can be found at the Help Center."

Disaster Assistance

If you have lost your home in Hurricane Beryl, call the American Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767.

Disaster Unemployment Assistance provides unemployment benefits for Texans who were not able to work or are no longer working due to Hurricane Beryl. Eligible applicants must not be working as a "direct result of a major disaster."

Texas Workforce Commission said it is accepting applications for unemployment assistance in 40 counties through July 16, 2024 , including: Anderson, Austin, Bell, Calhoun, Collin, Cooke, Coryell, Ellis, Dallas, Denton, Eastland, Falls, Guadalupe, Hardin, Harris, Henderson, Hockley, Jasper, Jones, Kaufman, Lamar, Leon, Liberty, Montague, Montgomery, Nacogdoches, Navarro, Newton, Panola, Polk, Rusk Sabine, San Jacinto, Smith, Terrell, Trinity, Tyler, Van Zandt, Walker and Waller.

Apply for Texas disaster unemployment assistance online or by dialing 800-939-6631.

Until a federal declaration is made for individual assistance, people need to call 211 for questions, according to FEMA.

Food Assistance

Houston Food Bank said it is closely monitoring conditions and will provide relief through its 1,600 community partners across SE Texas.

Houston Food Bank has partners in Harris, Fort Bend, Galveston, Montgomery, Austin, Brazoria, Brazos, Burleson, Chambers, Grimes, Liberty, Madison, Robertson, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller and Washington counties.

SNAP Assistance

The food bank will host a free SNAP assistance event on Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is open to first-time applicants or renewals who need assistance with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program .

The event will also provide assistance with applications for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF); Texas Children's Health Plan (CHIP); CHIP Petinatal and Medicaid; Medicare Savings Program; and the Healthy Texas Women program.

Participants must bring their photo ID, social security number, proof of income for the last three months, proof of Texas residence, proof of housing cost, immigration documents and case number, if applicable.

Houston Food Bank is located at 535 Portwall St., in Houston. The event will be held in Community Rooms A, B & C.

Additional Food Distributions

Saint Arnold Brewing Company is offering complimentary food to go starting at 1 p.m. Friday. The brewery's beer garden and restaurant are closed, but its team of chefs will be working the smoker to help.

To-go beers will be available for purchase (cash only). While supplies last.

The Houston Rockets and Toyota Center have set up a free, drive-thru food and water distribution event outside of Toyota Center. It started at 9 a.m. and will run until supplies last and on a first come, first served basis.

Offerings will include boxed lunches, water, fruit, snacks and other hurricane relief items.

Cars should line up at the intersection of Polk and La Branch streets.

Tyson Foods is deploying its Meals that Matter Disaster Relief Team to serve hot food. This will take place each day through Saturday, July 13, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Walmart Parking Lot at 2391 S. Wayside Drive.

Crosby Church will host an emergency distribution of water, cleaning supplies and non-perishables Friday at 8 a.m. The address is 5725 Highway 90, Crosby, Texas 77532.

Harris Co. Precinct 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones announced a food distribution on Friday from 8 a.m. to noon at the Bayland Community Center, 6400 Bissonnet.

Matagorda Co. and Surrounding Areas

Food Bank of the Golden Crescent is working on its aid plan for neighbors impacted by Beryl.

It serves 11 counties, including Calhoun, Colorado, DeWitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Jackson, Lavaca, Matagorda, Refugio, Wharton and Victoria.

The Help Center NC has been on the front lines of the war against poverty and hunger in our community. Hand and Hand with our partner agencies, we are creating lasting transformational change. Every dollar donated to The Help Center NC goes towards ending hunger by feeding the poor and provide spiritual support to families that are in a crisis situation.

The Help Center NC Mission – The Help Center NC was established in 2016, for the purpose of sharing the Gospel, advocating for the poor, elderly, children and their families by providing the tools needed for families to become self-sufficient through our training and educational programs. We are a community ministry that made the decision not to focus on one particular community but to sacrificially help those in need by serving county areas  (Wake,Raleigh,Durham,Franklin, Vance, Greensboro,Halifax,Warren ,and

Granville) in response to the vision that God gave our ministry. Our program design will assist with food, housing referrals, resources to enhance the physical, social, emotional, and economic health of our poor and homeless citizens.

The Help Center NC Philosophy – Our strategy programs builds on our mission and vision of the organization to meet the basic human needs which include public human services activities that strive to accomplish the following goals: Monthly mobile feeding, summer feeding and enrichment activities for our youth . Also, provide food baskets and support services for our elderly, countywide. In addition, we will process community information and referral services to reduce the duplication of services, and enhance communication between those in need and the available resources. We believe our program will not only meet the basic human needs but spiritual needs that will help move families from poverty to self-sufficiency.

Dinosaur show

Journey back in time with our Jurassic guide to meet a herd of stegosauruses and save them from peril by completing interactive challenges. Perfect for lovers of dinosaurs, in this show you'll learn to identify dinosaurs through exploring smells, fossils, shadows and footprints.

The content of this show is aimed at 3 to 11 year olds. Anyone entering the show will need a ticket, including adults.

The science exhibition

At The Look Out Discovery Centre, we love hands-on science. We have over 90 activities which children of all ages can enjoy and learn from.

The car park is open daily from 7am until 7:30pm.

Parking is £3.60 for 4 hours or £7.20 for all day.

There is parking for both cars and coaches. Coach parking must be booked in advance.

Ingrid Andress says she was drunk while performing at the Home Run Derby and will go to rehab

Country artist Ingrid Andress confessed on social media that she was drunk while she was singing the national anthem Monday night at MLB's Home Run Derby and says she will be seeking help.

"I'm not gonna b....... y'all, I was drunk last night. I'm checking into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition," she posted on her social media accounts.

Andress' performance qu i ckly went vi ral on social media, drawing widespread criticism, with some calling it "one of the worst national anthem renditions ever."

Before the performance, Andress had announced the coming release of her new single, "Colorado 9," along with two shows. The first is scheduled for Wednesday in Nashville, Tennessee, and the other next week in Denver. It was unclear whether she would perform as planned.

Andress released her debut album, "Lady Like," in 2020 and has been nominated for four Grammys, most recently last year for her performance of "Wishful Drinking" with Sam Hunt.
