TURSKA LETO 2024 ● ANTALIJSKA REGIJA

Lepotu odmora u zemlji turizma prvi su otkrili legendarna Kleopatra i njen voljeni Marko Aurelije. Kad su oni uživali zašto ne biste i vi? Turska ima četiri mora i 7.200 kilometara morske obale. Oni koji su u njenim letovalištima boravili bar jednom nazvali su je rajskom zemljom. 

Zlatne i suncem obasjane plaže, hipnotišući plesovi derviša, kuhinja koja uzbuđuje maštu čudnim ali uvek upečatljivim aromama i to sve u pozadini antičkih ruševina i prelepih planinskih pejzaža je Turska kakvu zna cela planeta. Ali to nije sve jer turiste u Turskoj čekaju i brojni termalni izvori, netaknuti eko-putevi, usamljene tvrđave i sjajne srednjovekovne citadele smeštene u udaljenim provincijama koje samo najradoznaliji uspevaju da upoznaju. Najveći gradovi države su Ankara i Istanbul. Prvi je zvanična prestonica Republike Turske i bučna metropola koja je uspela da uhvati svitanje i zalazak antike. Drugi je bivša prestonica prvo Vizantijskog, a potom i Turskog carstva i kulturni centar države. Poseta obema ne znači samo potvrditi polje liste ličnih dostignuća već i udahnuti nacionalni kolorit, čija koncentracija u ovoj zemlji oduzima dah.

Vozeći se gradovima i selima centralne Anadolije kroz koju je nekada vodio i čuveni Veliki put svile, moguće je videti klasičan Istok sa svim tradicijama, očaravajućim legendama i asketskim stepskim pejzažima. U istočnoj Anadoliji pozadina je nešto manje koloritna, jer je tamo samo najveće slano jezero Van.

Za one koji u ovu zemlju dolaze radi odmora i letovanja preporuka je da odu do obale Egejske ili Antalijske turističke regije gde je život stanovništva podređen jednom jedinom cilju – da udovolje i obraduju turiste. Klasična mediteranska klima u kombinaciji sa toplim morem i ostacima nekadašnjih grčkih polisa, sa dominacijom luksuznih i manje dobrih hotela sa brojnim sadržajima koji odmor čine zanimljivijim je ono što hiljade, ne samo naših ljudi, se uvek iznova vraća u turska letovališta: Alanju , Antaliju , Kemer , Belek , Side , Bodrum , Kušadasi , Marmaris , Fetije , Sarimsakli , Izmir , Češme  i Krstarenje guletom . 

Turske plaže počinju da oživljavaju od kraja aprila ili početka maja. Kupanje u tim danima nije sasvim prijatno jer voda u moru nije još dovoljno zagrejana. Juni, juli, avgust i septembar su meseci kada primorska mesta Turske opsedaju „legije stranaca“. Voda je početkom leta primetno toplija, a u špicu sezone čak i do 28 C°.

Turistička razglednica Turske je i bogata istorija ukorenjena u mladim danima ljudske civilizacije. Ako želite da uronite u doba Homerove „Ilijade“ i sprovedete sopstvenu istragu o otmici Lepe Jelene, na raspolaganju su vam epske ruševine Troje, kao i drugih drevnih gradova, Faselisa, Aspendosa, Efesa i Hijerapolisa. Objekti iz iste kategorije su i u Miletu, Afrodiziji, Pergamonu i Hatuši, koja će vas na tren vratiti u doba Hetitskog carstva. Stepen očuvanosti gradskih lokaliteta je različit, ali generalno ima se šta videti. U oblasti letovališta Fetije nalaze se legendarne likijske grobnice. Kamena nekropola, isklesana u monolitnoj steni pomalo podseća na scenografiju Tolkinovog „Gospodara prstenova“.

Da biste se okupali u Sredozemnom moru i snimili vrtoglave selfije na nekadašnjem „trgu samrtnika“ Ič Kale, dobrodošli u jeftiniju, kosmopolitsku i prezasićenu Alanju. Ukoliko želite da budete u centru zbivanja, velike gužve i da ne gubite društvo sunarodnika na šljunkovitim (ili prekrivenim uvoznim peskom) plažama, provedite odmor ili letujte u Antaliji ili Kemeru.

Prijatan Belek je fokusiran na ekskluzivni turizam. Ako volite i cenite vrhunske spa centre, golf klubove, izuzetnu uslugu i čiste plaže, ovde ćete biti srećni. Relativno jeftiniji i ekološki Side svideće se tragačima za mirnim porodičnim mestima, čiji je glavni cilj kupanje, sunčanje do nivoa bronzanog tena i pobliže upoznavanje menija gradskih kafića.

New travel deals for Amazon Prime members on cruises, rental cars, flights and more

These savings on travel come in time for any last-minute summer vacations.

Amazon Prime Day is fast approaching, and beyond viral beauty products or hot new kitchenware, the e-commerce giant is introducing savings on travel just in time for any last-minute summer vacations.

Amazon partnered with various travel companies, including Southwest Airlines, Viator, Turo, Carnival, and others, to give Prime members early access to price cuts on travel packages, car rentals, and cruises.

In a similar move last summer fellow retail competitor Walmart partnered with Expedia to give Walmart+ members the ability to earn Walmart Cash by booking vacations.

"These travel deals are sort of an extra that they can offer their members," RetailMeNot editor Kristin McGrath told ABC News. "There are plenty of ways you can save and get discounts. These membership programs can just make it a little bit easier."

Six Flags taking Fright Fest to extreme with ‘Saw,’ ‘The Conjuring,’ ‘Stranger Things’

Six Flags Entertainment is taking its fan-favorite Halloween event to the next level this year with the debut of Fright Fest Extreme – Presented By SNICKERS at two of its parks.

Building on last year’s “Saw” and “The Conjuring” experiences at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Southern California and Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey, those same parks are getting a complete Fright Fest overhaul, going heavy on intellectual property. 

“I think Halloween turns the world upside down, and these Halloween movies are thrill rides, so it just became like the perfect fit for us,” Edithann Ramey, Six Flags’ chief commercial officer and “Chief Fright Officer,” told USA TODAY. “It's our busiest time of the year across the whole nation, and so we did want to invest big on making them the most exciting they can be.”

The world’s largest regional theme park operator is also expanding Fright Fest offerings at other parks across North America. Here’s what fans can expect.

What will Fright Fest Extreme include?

Six Flags Great Adventure and Six Flags Magic Mountain will get the most intellectual property theming.

“Visitors … will step into a world where nightmarish creatures inspired by legendary horror brands come to life with Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ ‘SAW’ franchise, Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’ and ‘Army of the Dead,’ Warner Bros. Discovery’s ‘The Conjuring,’ ‘Annabelle’ and ‘The Nun,’ and Legendary Entertainment’s ‘Trick ‘r Treat,'” Six Flags announced Tuesday. “Guests at Six Flags Great Adventure will also be treated to a new experience from Legendary Entertainment’s ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ while visitors to Six Flags Mexico will have access to a special exclusive maze based on the bestselling comic series (DCeased) from DC Comics.”

Over the summer, Six Flags will announce additional IP offerings at other parks.

“The idea is to make it big across the United States, across all of our parks,” Ramey said. “This year we'll have seven or eight parks that have it. Next year, more will have it. So it's going to be something that gets incorporated throughout our whole system.”

How scary will Fright Fest Extreme be? 

Fright Fest Extreme is designed to scare.

“There's a fanatic of Halloween, a real true thrill seeker that we want to delight,” Ramey said. “When we began this project, I literally went online and Googled the top Halloween franchises in America.” She wanted to understand what excited these fans and also appeal to a wide range of guests.

“Like ‘Saw’ is all about like getting killed maybe two minutes into the film and your head's exploding. That's one spectrum of it,” she said. “And then the other is ‘ Stranger Things ,’ which has this beautiful ’80s vibe and this storyline and this mass appeal …  There's a little bit of everything for everybody.”

The event will also feature creepy decor, outdoor mazes designed to make guests feel like they could really get lost in them, roving scare actors aiming to catch guests off guard, themed food and drinks, and roller coasters for a different kind of thrill.

What are the dates for Fright Fest Extreme?

Fright Fest Extreme will be held across 32 nights between Sept. 7 through Nov. 3 at both Six Flags Magic Mountain and Six Flags Great Adventure.

It’ll be the longest Fright Fest season ever for Six Flags Magic Mountain, which will host the event on select Thursdays through Sundays. Six Flags Great Adventure’s Fright Fest Extreme will run on select Wednesdays through Sundays.

Ramey says fans may want to come back multiple times throughout the season.

“Several of the houses have like choose your own experience, and after you go, you're going to want to do that again and again,” she said.

How much are tickets to Fright Fest Extreme?

Fright Fest Extreme will be a separately ticketed event not included with regular park admission. Prices vary by date and ticket type.

Single-night tickets include entry to all haunted houses. They start at $49 for Six Flags Great Adventure and $75 for Six Flags Magic Mountain as part of a three-day flash sale launched Tuesday.

Gold, Platinum and Diamond Season Pass holders, Six Plus members and Legacy members with a valid pass can get into the event for free but will have to pay a separate fee to enter haunted houses.

An express upgrade will also be available for purchase to cut waits.

“We also have spent some time thinking about the lines, and so when you're lining up to go into the maze, what are some of the sensory things that can be happening as you line up?” Ramey said. “Showing maybe a little bit of the film, or showing you some pictures of the film, or even having some scares along the way so (waiting in) line isn't as awful as you think it would be.”

A Brooklyn Baker's Guide to Sicilian Desserts

Some of Italy’s most famous sweets originate from Sicily : cannoli, ciambella cake (a citrusy breakfast bundt made with olive oil), and torrone (a nougat confection), to name a few. The island south of the mainland, just west of the boot’s toe in the Mediterranean, has a rich history with Arabic, Spanish, and Neapolitan influences, and as with many Italian pastries, Catholic nuns can take credit for creating the region’s most iconic sweets.

New York-based baker Renato Poliafito is celebrating Sicilian, Italian, and Italian-American sweets in his new cookbook, Dolci! American Baking with an Italian Accent . Poliafito grew up in Queens, with parents who had emigrated from Sicily to Brooklyn before he was born. After many summers spent visiting extended family in the tiny town of Adrano, near Catania, Sicily , he now returns to the island regularly, exploring its many nooks and crannies.

Poliafito was a co-founder of Baked, an acclaimed bakery in Red Hook that opened in 2005 (Poliafito left in 2017). In October 2019, he launched his first solo project: Ciao, Gloria , an Italian-American bakery and café in the Prospect Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn.

We sat down with Poliafito to discuss his new book, his family’s Sicilian history, and how he came to love Italy's sweets.

As an Italian-American, how have you related to Italy throughout your life?

[As a kid, my parents] would say we're going to Sicily for vacation for two weeks and we’d end up staying there for eight. It was great to just see my relatives and the world opened up to me at a very early age. But I would start missing my regular life, because they would pull me away from my toys and my friends, and these towns weren't at the speed that New York was.

In college, I was an art major, and my focus became Renaissance art, so I decided to study abroad in Florence . It was my first time actually being in Italy, as opposed to just in Sicily. I was there on my own, and I was not in this small town. Suddenly, all these things that I always frowned upon were these huge positives, and it just shifted things.

Now, I go as often as I can.

What are your memories of Sicilian food growing up?

The things that I loved tended to be more on the savory side, like arancini, for example. Of the things my mom made when I was growing up, I liked the impanata, which is basically a stuffed pizza dough that usually has anchovies, herbs, spinach, and cheese like pecorinos; it’s super delicious. As far as sweets, it's the gelatos and trecina, those little braided cookies. Sometimes my mom would make an olive oil cake and those little S cookies, but she was definitely more of a savory cook.

And then there were the general Italian cookies. The ones that I would run to on the tray would be the tricolores, the butter cookies, the mini versions of the pastiera, struffoli, and I absolutely loved baba au rhum.

Did your mom get a say on which recipes are included in the book?

One of my mom’s favorite desserts is called the Iris. She never made it, but she would talk about it as the thing she ate as kid, and I was always curious about it. She brought it up multiple times as I was writing the Baked cookbooks. But now with Dolci! I had the opportunity to actually include it. Iris is a dessert from Palermo , and the story goes that it was created by a baker to honor a singer in an opera. It’s a yeasted dough filled with sweet ricotta and then coated in breadcrumbs and deep fried. It has a huge following in Sicily, but it hasn’t really come to America yet.

But as I was writing this book, I realized very quickly, everything is fried, and it was just a lot. I thought, how do I re-approach this recipe, keeping true to it, but also giving it a breath of fresh air? I never had an Iris as a kid, but as an adult, traveling around Sicily and going to different pastry shops, there it was. My mother had it as a World War II pastry, but now there are variations of it—some have chocolate pastry cream in them instead of ricotta.

My spin on it is the Ode to Iris, which I’ve made in the shop a few times as a special. There's a master brioche recipe in the book, so we're using that dough, and we fill it with a rich, dark chocolate pastry cream. And then, as opposed to frying the whole thing, we'll butter it once it's baked, and toss it in sugar to give it a little bit of a crunch because there’s no breadcrumbs.

Sicily is known for its winter oranges, a prime ingredient for several sweet treats.

Taormina has many charms, but you can't leave without trying its cannoli.

How about your dad? Does his influence appear in the book at all?

Absolutely. My mom and dad got married in Sicily, and then a few months before my older sister was born, my dad emigrated via ship to New York to establish a new life for them. So my mom was pregnant and she stayed with her family (my entire family lived in a three-block radius of each other in Andrano). My dad came to America in 1957 and at that time, Bushwick in Brooklyn was predominantly Italian and everyone from certain towns lived on certain blocks. My dad and mom's town happened to have a stretch of homes on Starr Street, right across from Maria Hernandez Park. When my dad first got here, he was park-benching it a little, and trying to figure things out, until he connected with people and an apartment opened up on Starr Street, in a building that was occupied by other families from the same town. And as soon as my dad could afford it—he was a tailor—he bought airline tickets for my mom and my sister.

Pastiera was something my dad loved and he would eat mini versions of it around Easter time. I think of my dad whenever I have it. Pastiera has cooked grains as the filling that are mixed with sweetened ricotta, candied fruit, and all baked in a frolla shell. It's one of those things that a lot of Italian Americans make around Easter time, so when you go into an Italian-American market, you'll find jars of those cooked grains—that's the cheat, ready to go. Because otherwise you're buying wheat berries and you're cooking them down for hours with a little bit of milk and citrus rinds. You can use lemon, but I use orange in my recipe.

Let’s talk about Sicily’s most famous dessert: the cannoli. I know you don’t sell cannoli in your shop, but you do have a couple cannoli variations in the book.

I know this is heresy, but I am not a huge cannoli fan. I don't like cannoli shells. But I love ricotta and lace cookies. So in the book I have cannoli croccante, which uses what’s basically a nut-based lace cookie as the shell. I found these on one of my research trips in Naples , just wandering down the street. And I was like, what are those? Because you see it, and they don't look like regular cannoli. I had one, and I was like, Oh, this is it.

There’s also a cannoli cake recipe in the book, which is a little more of the classic cannoli flavors in a cake form. Sometimes, you'll see cannoli cakes and they will be layer cakes with tons of buttercream and cannolis on top. I wanted to create a single layer cake that was a little more rustic, and had all the components of a cannoli, but not as ornate. The cake base is a cinnamon-based cake with some chocolate chips and candied orange, which you usually find in cannolis, and then a whipped ricotta on top with a little bit of heavy cream for a smoother frosting. It’s topped with pistachios.

How have sweets evolved as they've migrated from Sicily and Italy to America?

Italians in general do have a fondness for sweets, but desserts are usually reserved for special occasions, you know, like special dinners, like on a Sunday, or at breakfast. And that’s the idea of Ciao, Gloria, where you can have a little sweet and a cup of coffee. It's where the merger of the two cultures happens.

What I like about Italian desserts is that they tend to be simplistic—there's a rustic quality to them. They’re made with simple, wholesome ingredients. And then, through the American lens, they kind of get zhuzhed: they get a little sweeter, a little bigger, a little more playful.

Jerry Van Megert: ‘considered the quintessential painter of iconic Pebble Beach, Point Lobos, and the Big Sur coastline.’

R aised in Eastern Kentucky and possessed of a bachelor’s degree in general studies, Vicki Stewart was headed to law school in 1978 when she went out to California to visit family. Inching along the San Francisco Bay Bridge on a blue-sky day, she was filled with a sense that the setting explained everything she’d been longing for in life. Instead of passing the bar, she took a job tending bar at The Cliff House.

Perhaps it was her subsequent jobs, as a travel agent and then a meeting coordinator, that led her boss at Bechtel Corporation to believe Stewart would make a good travel assistant. She thought so, too.

Stewart’s first Bechtel assignment, in 1998, was to come down to Pebble Beach to oversee the upgrade of the villa he’d purchased on 17 Mile Drive. She did just fine navigating her way to the Peninsula, until she entered the Del Monte Forest. In the dark. She called the caretaker, who was living in an oceanfront cottage on the property, and asked for assistance. He came to her rescue.

Stewart noticed the caretaker’s impeccable manners, the mirth in his eyes. She found him humble and rather shy. As she began working on the main house, he popped in and said, “Would you care to join me for dinner? I’ve fixed a chicken.” They became fast friends.

The “caretaker” was a young, fine-art painter, who had been living in the cottage since 1968, as a courtesy of the Bechtel family, after meeting at an art show. Although the artist was not yet well known, the promise of an exceptional career was emerging across each canvas he painted, typically the seascape as it shifted by the hour, outside his door. Bechtel CEO and Chairman Stephen D. Bechtel, Jr. had extended his hand and offered him a six-month stay.

Six months grew to 50 years as an “artist in residence,” all on the promise of a handshake.

The artist, who became what Stewart described as a “favorite beloved cousin, a confidante, traveling companion, best friend,” also went on to become what the world described as “an exceptional landscape, seascape, and portrait artist of international renown.”

Jerry Van Megert, who signed his acrylic paintings “Van Megert,” completed his first painting when he was 6 years old, at his family home, on a farm in Salem, Oregon. He knew himself an artist in that moment and that he would paint, every day, for the rest of his life. He nearly did. After a brief journey through pancreatic cancer, Van Megert died on June 7. He was 86.

Finding and painting his perfect place

Van Megert was, essentially, a self-taught artist, relying on an alchemy of natural talent and the ability to see beyond his subject to the sense of it. He knew, intuitively, how to paint emotion. When he was 20, he received an art scholarship to Willamette University, a private liberal arts college in Salem, Oregon.

For two years, he painted under the auspices of visiting art professor Carl Hill, whose work he had admired since childhood. During their work together, Van Megert learned the fundamentals of painting, which would elevate his work. He also realized he’d rather spend his time painting, than taking core classes that would lead to a degree.

Van Megert returned home, where he continued to paint in a studio on his father’s farm, until the art collector community began to take notice of his work. Deciding it was time to move out on his own, he decided to explore the art communities of California.

“Realizing there was no way to make a living in Salem as an artist,” he often said, “I began exploring the West Coast art colonies in California, such as Mendocino, Laguna Beach and La Jolla, before ending up in Carmel. I was captivated by the ever-mesmerizing vistas of sea and sky surrounding me. Everywhere I looked, I saw a painting and immediately fell in love with the Monterey Peninsula.”

This is the setting in which he made his home and his career.

Van Megert joined the Carmel Art Association in 1970 and quickly began to build a cadre of collectors and his renown. He took to identifying his paintings with his trademark vertical signature.

“When I paint,” he often said, “I don’t think of my work as being special. I got over that years ago. It is the seascape or the particular person whose portrait I’m painting that I find so spectacular.”

Van Megert could portray the same setting over and over, and never create the same painting. From moment to moment, it offered him a new scene, a different story.

“I learned that rather than looking back at my last painting of the setting,” he said, “I should go back to the subject and see it in a different light and mood.”

This also could have been said of the people who became the subjects of his portraiture, for which he became known for perceiving and then painting, not just how the person looked but who they were. He portrayed, among many others, his mother, various children, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Doris Day, Sam Morse, Gerald Ford, George Shultz, himself, and a cadre of collectors visiting the Bechtel estate.

“To have a portrait painted,” Van Megert said, “whether it be a loved one or a corporate president, it is the highest form of respect we can give someone. Our façade represents everything our inner self is and does, and should be honored for that reason.”

Very few places could lure Van Megert off the Peninsula. One was Oregon, where his roots ran deep. Another was the Bohemian Grove, a 160-acre encampment of old-growth redwoods in Northern California, which houses members of this gentlemen’s social club for an annual two-week summer retreat, welcoming some of the most prominent men in the world. Yet, his heart belonged to the City of Light. And Paris welcomed him and his companion, Vicki Stewart, annually for more than 30 years.

Invariably, he would paint—the Seine, the café, the Eifel Tower, the cobbled street, the couple, and the lady in red: Stewart.

“I’ll always remember quietly imploring Jerry to get a picture of ‘that Frenchman in the blue beret,’” Stewart said. “It was so classic, but he was unwilling. Finally, he relented, and that Frenchman showed up like a surprise Easter egg in many of Jerry’s French paintings to come.”

Van Megert relinquished his home by the sea in 2018 and moved into The Park Lane in Monterey, where he continued to paint, daily, as he had every day of his life, until just last year. This past November, the Carmel Art Association (CAA) hosted a retrospective exhibition of his work, which included a book of his Pebble Beach landscapes, published in 1999.

“Jerry so deeply wanted to share one more show of his work,” Stewart said. “He lived for that and he was in attendance, thoroughly enjoying the evening and his community.”

The CAA has created a special archival collection to preserve Van Megert’s work.

“Jerry was the very definition of ‘gentleman’— courteous, honorable, gracious and, quite literally, gentle,” said CAA Archivist Sally Aberg. “He was so modest about his success as an artist, that one could not believe he even knew he was considered the quintessential painter of iconic Pebble Beach, Point Lobos, and the Big Sur coastline.”

Will Giants Be Among Top Teams in Search of a Quarterback in 2025?

The 2024 NFL season has yet to open, but that hasn’t stopped people from already deciding that, regardless of what happens in the coming year, the New York Giants plan to move on from quarterback Daniel Jones.

Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports is the latest to express this opinion, putting the Giants at the top of his five-team list expected to be in the mix for a quarterback in 2025.

"This couldn't be more obvious because the Giants already flirted with the quarterbacks in the draft just a few weeks ago,” Trapasso reasoned. 

“While we'll probably never know exactly which 2024 passer they targeted or which offer they sent to either the Cardinals at No. 4 or Patriots at No. 3, we do know they actively passed on J.J. McCarthy and Bo Nix, who were picked at No. 11 and No. 12 overall, respectively.

"Daniel Jones should feel fortunate to still have the Giants starting gig after a disastrous two-touchdown, six-interception 2023 that ended prematurely due to a knee ligament tear."

Trapasso isn’t wrong to point out that the Giants have dropped some not-so-subtle hints about how they feel about Jones. 

One of the first signs of uncertainty was their declining to pick up the option year in Jones’s rookie contract. 

Then there was the two-year out in the quarterback’s contract that the team could exercise after this season once all the guaranteed money had been paid out, a protective clause likely included due to Jones’s extensive and growing injury history. 

More recently, there was heavy interest in this year’s quarterbacks class, which the team claimed was due diligence. However, there was also the reported attempt to trade up in the draft order to land former North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye reportedly.

Understandably, Jones was miffed by all the talk about his shaky status. Despite doing his best not to give away his feelings, he showed some very mild signs of agitation when reporters peppered him during the OTAs with questions about the team’s reported efforts to move up to draft a quarterback.

“I mean, I wasn't fired up about it,” he said. “But I think it's part of it at this level. What I can do is focus on myself and get healthy, play the best football I can play, and know that I'm capable of playing. That's my job, and that's what I'm going to do.” 

Jones' 2023 season ended prematurely due to an ACL tear in Week 9. Before that, he threw for just two touchdowns to six interceptions. The offensive line was atrocious, but Jones also left a handful of plays on the field last season. 

In 2022, head coach Brian Daboll and offensive coordinator Mike Kafka schemed plays to Jones' strengths, including using his legs in the run game. The offense wanted to take the next step to become an explosive unit in 2023, but that didn't happen.

"Outside of Jones miraculously playing much differently and more effectively than ever before in the NFL, the Giants will be the most "in" on the 2025 draft class of quarterbacks," Trapasso concluded.

Beyond the situation with Jones, backup Drew Lock is on a one-year deal, and Tommy DeVito will be an exclusive rights free agent in 2025. 

All of that uncertainty around the position lends itself to the Giants being in the market for a quarterback next year, though whether that’s for a starter, as Trapasso believes will be the case, or for depth remains to be seen.  

Still, a decision is several months away, depending on what happens on the field in 2024.
