Pelling which is one of the most beautiful hamlet in Sikkim, at an altitude of 6,800 ft. seems to present picturesque views before your eyes. Here you will enjoy the majestic, beauty of Mt. Kanchenjunga which is not far from here, during sunrise and sunset. Tranquil landscape and unpolluted surroundings make Ravangla a favourite destination for the tourists. Ravangla, in situated amidst Gangtok and Pelling. The pictures of green fields being multicolored by various known and unknown flowers will make you spellbound. It has also beautiful views of snow clad mountain and peaks. Upper, part of Ravangla experiences snowfall during winter. Namchi is situated at an altitude of 1,675 m (5500 feet) above sea level. Namchi lies off the road between Melli and Jorethang. Namchi commands panoramic view of the snow capped mountains and vast stretches of valley. It is also headquarters of South district. The area is fast growing into a tourist destination with its enormous potential for all round tourist activities.

Day 1 :drive from njp / ixb / siliguri to namchi ( 4,315 ft. ). overnight stay at namchi.

"Meet & greet"  with our company representative on arrival at  NJP / IXB / Siliguri  and drive to  Namchi ,   On the way enjoy Namchi local sightseeing (Chardham / Solophok, Sirdi Sai Temple, Samdruptse, Central Park). After arrival at Namchi, check-in & get fresh. Enjoy your leisure evening at local bazaar by walk at your own. Overnight stay at hotel in  Namchi.  

Day 2 :Ravangla Sightseeing

After breakfast drive to Rabangla via Temi Tea Garden. On the way enjoy Buddha Park sightseeing . After arrival at Ravangla, check-in & get fresh. Enjoy your leisure evening at local bazaar by walk at your own. Overnight stay at hotel in  Ravangla .

Day 3 :Ravangla to Pelling

After breakfast check-out from hotel, & drive towards Pelling. After arrival at Pelling check-in at hotel, get fresh. Spend your leisure evening at local market area by walk at your own. Overnight stay at hotel in  Pelling.

Day 4 :Pelling Sightseeing

After breakfast go for Pelling local sightseeing, (Pelling view from Helipad, Rock Garden, Kanchendzonga water falls, Khecheopalri lake, Rimbi water falls, Rabdentse Palace Ruins, Pemayagtnse Monastery, Singshor Bridge, Darap village.). Cancellation & Refund Policy

Policy regarding cancellation / no show / early departure.

In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:

• 30 days & prior to arrival – 10% of the tour/service cost.
• 20 days to 18 days prior to arrival – 20% of the tour/service cost.
• 14 days to 16 days prior to arrival – 25% of the tour/service cost.
• 10 days to 08 days prior to arrival – 50% of the tour/service cost.
• 07 days & less, prior to arrival or no show – NO REFUND.

Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.

In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

In regard to refund of unused / unutilized services (which are paid for and cancelled in advance) the refund amount would be worked out on the basis of cancellation policy as described above and the money would be accordingly refunded to the person who has made the payment to us. Please note that the refund process may take 2 – 4 weeks due to banking procedures. If the refund is made to the credit card account OR to Bank account, the bank charges would be debited from the refund amount.

Itinerary – Gangtok Ravangla Pelling Tour

Day 01 : siliguri/bagdogra to gangtok (135 km. / approx 4.30 hrs).

Welcome to Gangtok Ravangla Pelling Tour . On arrival at Siliguri (NJP) railway station or Bagdogra (IXB) airport meet & greet by Navigator India’s representative. Drive to Gangtok. On the way visit Corotation Bridge & magnificent view of the river Tista.

Day 02 : Gangtok city tour

Proceed on a city tour in Gangtok  including Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok; 3 view points offering panoramic view of snow capped Himalayan peaks & Gangtok city. Proceed to visit Rumtek Monastery/ Jhakri Falls (any one), Institute  of Tibetology to have a glance of Tibetan Thanka and antics, Orchid House (having numerous collection of orchids), Enchay Monastery ,Dodurl Chorten etc.

Day 03 : Excursion – Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir.

Early in the morning (7.30 am) drive for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake, situated 32 km away from the city at an altitude of above 12,000 ft. & Baba Mandir another 01 hour drive. Enjoy yak ride around the lake (own cost).  Drive back to hotel for lunch. Enjoy your evening at MG Marg in Gangtok.

Note: Foreigner are not allowed to go to Baba Mandir. They can go up to Tsomgo Lake only accompanied by a local guide (compulsory). Guide charges to be paid extra.

Day 04 : Gangtok to Ravangla via Namchi (104 km)

Today you will transferred to Ravangla from Gangtok via Namchi. Namchi is a small township & the district head quarter of South Sikkim. Visit Siddheswar Dham at Namchi, popularly known as Chardham. Check into your hotel in Ravangla. Afternoon free for refreshment.

Day 05 : Gangtok to Pelling (124 km./ 5 hrs)

Today you will transferred to Pelling from Ravangla – Check into your hotel in Pelling. Afternoon free for refreshment.

Day 06 : Pelling sightseeing

Today you will proceed to full day sight seeing to Rimbi False, Rimbi Rock Garden, Kanchandzonga False, Khecheopalri Lake, Pemayangtse monastery, Rabdantse Ruins, Pelling Sky Walk etc. Khecheopalri lake is considered to a sacred lake for Buddhist. Rabdantse was the second capital of Sikkim. Chadok Namgyal shifted his capital from Yuksom to Randantse in 1670. The runs of the capital is still preserved there. The view of Mt. Kanchendonga from Rabdantse will be an amazing experience.

Day 07: Pelling to Siliguri/Bagdogra (145 km. / approx 6 hrs)

Today is your farewell day for your ‘ Gangtok Ravangla Pelling Tour ’. Drive back to Siliguri (NJP)/ Bagdogra (IXB) for your onward journey with happy memories to cherish.

• Foreigners need a Restricted Area Permit (RAP) to enter Sikkim. It can be obtained from Sikkim Tourist Office at Rongpo, Bagdogra & Siliguri during office hours. All the guests must carry 2 copies passport size recent colour photographs & Passport.

Foreigners need a Protected Area Permit to visit Tsomgo Lake. Permit can be obtained in Gangtok. All the guests must carry 2 copies passport size recent colour photographs, Passport & copy of Restricted Area Permit (RAP).

Places to visit in gangtok, tsomgo lake .

Tsomgo Lake – Gangtok

Changu Lake is approx 40 Km away from Gangtok on the way to Nathula Pass. In Bhutaia Lacguage the word Tsomgo means the ‘Source on Lakes’. At an altitude of approx 12,000 ft above the sea level it is the most important place to visit in Sikkim. the  Lake is oval in shape and approximately 1km long. It has an average depth of about 50 ft.  Snow melted water from the mountains around created the lake & the lake created a river namely Lungtze Chu. The lake further falls into Rangpo-chu.

According to the myth the spirituals gurus of Sikkim used to study the colour of the water of Tsomgo Lake to forecast the future of the state. So the local people considered the lake as sacred.

Changu Lake is a paradise for the ornithologists. The migratory birds takes a break near the lake while flying long way from Syberia to the Indian plains. Brahminy Ducks  is a one of the spices.

Rumtek Monastery (Dharma Chakra Centre)

Rumten Monastery is 24km away from the city. After Tsomgo Lake it is the most important tourist spot. It also works as the Buddhist head quarter of India. The monastery was constructed in the year 1960 by the Gyalwa Karmapa, who was the 16 th  Karmapa & settled in Sikkim in late fifties. Rumtek is the largest monastery of Sikkim. There is a huge volume of xylographs (printed wooden documents), translation of original teachings of the Lord Buddha & Buddhist scholars around the world. The institute also conducts research on Buddhism along with Tibetan culture & language. The adjoin museum has a rare collection of antiques like Thankas, coins & Buddhist sculpture. The foundation stone of the institute was laid by Dalai Lama in 1957 & was inaugurated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in 1958.

Places to Visit in Ravangla

Buddha park.

Buddha Park is a major tourist attraction in Ravangla. Constructed in the year 2006, the park is a government venture to boost pilgrimage tourism. There is a 130 ft. high statue of the lord Buddha to commemorate the event of 2550 th  birth anniversary of Gautam Buddha. The park is also known as Tathagata Tsal among the locals. Being home to a Buddhist circuit, this park also has a great spiritual significance.

Siddheshwar Dham (Chardham)

Chardham is around 5 km away on southwest of Namchi atop the Solophok hill, Siddheshwar Dham complex consists of replicas of well-known for Hindu pilgrimages known as Chardham. The attractions include replica of Badrinath, Rameshwaram, Dwarka and Jagannath Temple (Puri). There is a giant 87 ft long statue of Lord Shiva, replicas of 12 Jyotirlingas and sculpture of Lord Kirateshwar. You can have beautiful views and photo opportunities.

The temple was built to promote Sikkim as a beautiful and all-embracing state in India and around the world by the government of Sikkim. The ground of the temple looks a lot like a theme park spread over 28,958 hectares of landscapes. Places to Visit in Pelling

Kecheopalri lake.

It is in the north-west of Pelling. Kecheopalri Lake is a sacred pilgrimage site in Pelling sightseeing for both Hindus and Buddhists. Believed to be a wish-fulfilling lake, this place is heaven for nature lovers and travellers. Many interesting legends revolve around the origin and history of the lake. The shape of the lake looks like a footprint if viewed from the top. Hindus consider this as the footprint of god Shiva while Buddhists believe it to be the footprint of goddess Tara. Another interesting fact about this lake is that in spite of being situated amidst so mush of greenery, no fallen leaves can be seen floating on its surface. There is a belief that the birds keep the lake clean all the time. Emerging as a popular tourist attraction in Sikkim, pilgrims from all around the world visit Kecheopalri Lake.

Kanchendzonga Waterfalls

24 km from the beautiful township of Sikkim, Kanchendzonga waterfall is one of the major tourist hot spot in west Sikkim. It is a perennial waterfall and remains active throughout the whole year. Noted for its fascinating view of surrounding hills and countryside, this stunning waterfall is doubtlessly one of the most magnificent waterfalls in the entire Sikkim. Here, one can also find many small food-stalls selling snacks and tea, which make this place an ideal picnic spot to spend some quality time with near and dear ones.

Pemayangtse Monastery

Pemayangtse monastery is a popular Buddhist monastery, at a distance of 2 km from Pelling. Built in 1705 by Lama Lhatsum Chempo, it is one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim. The word Pemayangtse means ‘sublime lotus’ and it is considered to represent one of the four plexus of human body. With its beautiful collection of Buddhist idols, scriptures, sculptures, carvings and paintings, this three storied building is a heavenly place surrounded by magnificent Himalayan ranges of snow-capped mountains. Outside the monastery, there is also a very beautiful picturesque garden well maintained by the monks. Undoubtedly this monastery is one of the must see places when one is in Pelling.

Rabdentse Ruins

Established in 1670, Rabdentse ruins was the second capital of Sikkim, until 1814. Located near Pemayangtse monastery, this place is one of the must see historical tourist destination in Pelling. The view of the Kanchendzonga Mountain from Rabdantse is breathtaking. The lovely 20 minutes nature walk uphill to the ruins through Himalayan vegetation is totally a thrilling experience if one is physically fit and loves to trek. This ruins complex currently maintained by the Archeological Society of India.

The hotels were good and booked in some of the top localities across Sikkim and Darjeeling with good accessibility and all the transport facilities and vehicles were excellent. We would specially like to mention our driver in Darjeeling Mr. Pritam for his outstanding service and punctuality. Overall we found the package to be a little expensive since we had to pay separately for Nathula and zero point (total of Rs 6500 for both since it was subject to availability of vehicle permit) and an additional Rs 1200 for a halt at Buddha Park in Ravangla. I would like to give a minor suggestion to the team to include major tourist points that fall on the way for eg. in our case Chardham at Namchi and Buddha Park at Ravangla fell on our way to Pelling from Gangtok.

Once arrival at Njp Railway Station, our representative meets you with warm welcome and they will transfer you to Pelling. On arrival, check into the hotel. Evening is free to roam around the market. Overnight stay in hotel.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruines, Rimbi Waterfall, Sanga Choeling Monastery, Rimbi orange garden, Changey Waterfall, Phamrong Falls. After that return back to the hotel for overnight stay in hotel.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Ravangla. On arrival, visit Buddha Park, Bon Monastery, Kheunpheling Carpet Centre, Doling Monastery, Rayong Sunrise View point, Buddha Park Of Ravangla, Ralang Monastery. Go shopping in the evening and drive to the hotel for overnight stay at the hotel.

After Breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Namchi visit - Samdruptse, Char Dham Temple, Siddheshwar Dham, Ngadak Monastery, Doling Gompa, Namchi Rock Garden. After that Return to the Hotel for Overnight stay.

Day 1 : BAGDOGRA AIRPORT / NJP STATION TO PELLING

On arrival at Bagdogra airport / NJP station proceed for peeling (7,000ft. /124 km. /6 hours), the land lies with Mt. Khnagchendzonga and also known as the Hallmark land of eastern Himalaya, State in India. On arrival at Pelling check in at your hotel. Overnight stay at Pelling.

Pelling   is a town in the district of   West Sikkim . Pelling is nestled at an altitude of 2,150 m (7,200 feet). The town is located at a distance of 10 km from the district headquarters of Geyzing. The   Himalayas   and the   Kanchenjanga   may be viewed at close quarters from Pelling. Pelling also forms the base from where trekkers and other peripatetic adventurers undertake the strenuous and arduous treks in West Sikkim. The land around Pelling is still a virgin territory and is bathed with alpine vegetation, with numerous waterfalls lining the hillside. In the months of winter, Pelling is sometimes covered with a blanket of snow

Namchi (meaning 'Sky High') is located at an altitude of 5,500ft and is the capital of South District of Sikkim.Namchi, a fast-developing place in South Sikkim is often known as the Culture Capital of the state. The place has been developed as a hub of religious and cultural tourism in Sikkim. In fact, you can see replica of all the four dhams of India (char dhams) at Namchi and also the biggest statue of Guru Padmasambhava. Namchi also has a well laid out township with a Central Park (a small square) at the town center. 

RAVANGLA -  

This is a relatively new tourist spot in South Sikkim. Situtated at an Elevation of 8000ft the small picturesque semi town on the Gangtok-Gaysiling highway, Ravangla is becoming a hot destination for its breathtaking landscape and tranquility. The town and its surrounding area offer an undisturbed view of the snow ranges of Greater Himalayas. Mt Kanchenjunga, Mt Pandim, Mt Sinialchu , Mt Kabru are just a few of the   major peaks that are   clearly   visible fom here. Upper ridges of the area experience snowfall during winter. Thousands of known and unknown flowers are in full bloom during April –May and Ravangla gets a romantic look with the colors and fragrance of the flowers.

DAY 1: –PICK UP FROM NJP/IXB - TRANSFER TO PELLING

Meet & Greet by your assigned driver on arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport & transfer to Pelling (Approx 4-5hrs drive)- Pelling is another serene, Mountain village which lies in the western districts of Sikkim. This village is situated at an altitude of 2000 mts(approx) and commands a Spectacular view of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Check in at hotel. Evening at your own leisure. Overnight at Pelling .

DAY 2: - PELLING LOCAL SIGHTSEEING 

Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for city tour visiting Pemayangste Monastery, Rabtense Ruins, Khechipalri Lake, Dharap valley, Kanchenjunga Falls & Rambi Falls. New Helipad, Pemayangste Monastery was built for "pure monks" ( ta-tshang ) meaning "monks of pure Tibetan lineage", celibate and without any physical abnormality. This practice is still retained.

Only the monks of Pemayangtse Monastery are entitled to the title "ta-tshang". The head lama of this monastery had the unique privilege of anointing the Chogyals of the erstwhile monarchy of Sikkim with holy water. Pemayangtse means "Perfect Sublime Lotus”, and is said to represent one of the four plexus of the human body. Khechipalri Lake it is one of the sacred Buddhist mountain lake and it is believed that whatever is wished in front of the lake comes true. Myth is that when a leaf falls on the placid clear water surface, it is picked by a bird. Overnight at Pelling .

DAY 3: – TRANSFER TO NAMCHI VIA RAVANGLA

Post breakfast check out & transfer to Namchi (Apprx 4hrs drive)- Via Ravnagla covering Buddha park, Ralang monastery, Reach Namchi - Have your lunch in local restaurant – Proceed for Namchi sightseeing covering – Char Dham, Samdruptse monastery, Sai Mandir, Rock garden - Check in - Leisure - Overnight at Namchi .

DAY 4: - DROP TO IXB /NJP

After breakfast check out & drop to IXB/NJP (Approx 5 -6hrs drive) Tour ends with sweet memories.
