Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive Cochin – Munnar (4.5hrs drive)

Today arrive at Cochin airport/railway station where you will be greeted by our drive to Munnar, enroute visit Valara & Cheeyappara waterfalls. On reaching Munnar check in to the hotel and relax by taking a nature walk in the hill station. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 2 : Munnar

Full day sightseeing to visit: Eravikulam National Park, Tea Museum (Closed on Mondays), Mattupetty Dam & Echo Point. Evening free to explore local market OR enjoy Ayurveda massage on your own. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 3 : Munnar – Alleppey (5hrs drive)

Today drive to Alleppey and check in to an exclusive houseboat to explore the day to day life of the local people up close and visit the nearby temples, churches, coir factories & paddy fields. Overnight stay in Alleppey houseboat.

Day 4 : Alleppey – Cochin Departure (2.5hrs drive)

Today after breakfast disembark from the houseboat at 09:00am drive to Cochin to do the sightseeing of Fort Cochin & shopping at MG road. Later you will be transferred to the airport/railway station as per the schedule for your onward journey with sweet memories of the tour.

Munnar Magic: Experience Natures Best with a 02-Night Tour

Day 01: Arrive Munnar by Bus from Bangalore/Chennai

You will be greeted by a representative of Munnar Holidays at the Munnar Bus Station, and be transferred to a comfortable hotel pre-booked exclusively for you. You can freshen up and relax at the hotel (Check in time 12 Noon if rooms are available will provide on arrival). After fresh up, we will take you to visit the tea museum of Munnar where you can learn the history of tea gardens in Munnar and if so wish, join the demonstration of tea tasting. Next on the item is a visit to the Eravikulam National Park, a home to Nilgiri Tahr which is the endangered mountain goat of South India. The park is spread 97 Square Kilometres along the Kannan Devan hills. The grass lands of the hills are worth exploring and spending time at. Once you are done, you will be taken back to Hotel. Your overnight stay is arranged at Munnar.

Day 02: Munnar Day Tour

At the hotel, you will be provided with your breakfast and fill your stomach enough to keep going at the exciting that is looming in front of you at Munnar. We will take you to the flower garden where you can witness a myriad of exotic and beautiful flowers. Then you will have one of the most exciting things to do in Munnar—an elephant safari. Riding on the back of a tusker will leave you gasping for breath. You will also be able to visit the Mattupetty Tea Factory en route where you can witness at close quarters how the most important ingredient of the world famous beverage, tea, is made here. We will then proceed to the stunningly attractive Mattupetty Dam, Echo-Point and Kundala Dam. If you would like, you can ride on the waters of Kundala Dam on a speeding boat. The next exciting item is the drive where you will be taken along the vegetable fields located at the high mountains of Munnar at the borders of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Relishing the memories of the day, you can sleep overnight at the hotel in Munnar.

Day 03: Departure to Bangalore/Chennai

After breakfast Check out from Hotel by 12 noon visit to Hydel Park & Local Market visit, You will also have plenty of time to go on a shopping spree at the Munnar town which is spotted with several local shops offering a range of local arts, crafts and souvenirs you can collect before the driver picks you. Once you are done with shopping, you will be transferred to at Munnar Bus stand for Return Journey with sweet memories of your holiday. We await for your next visit … Bon Voyage. Service ends.

• Payment by Visa or Master Credit / Debit Card through online. Bank charge @ 2.5 % applicable for Credit / Debit Card payment.

Balance payment can be made 15 days prior to your tour starting date or by CASH on arrival at Airport / Railway Station. On receipt of full payment we will send you the travel vouchers through email. If you are making the balance payment on arrival, our executive will hand over the travel vouchers on arrival.

Important Information

• Service Voucher will be issued on receipt of Advance Payment into our account before Cutoff Date.
• Driver contact details will be given 01 day prior to the commencement of your tour (before 6.30 pm)
• You are advised to carry a copy of your ID Proof and to present it to the Resort at the time of check in.

Cancelling a Reservation – Our Cancellation Policy?

If you cancel a tour, the below Cancellation Charges will be applicable on the Total Invoice Amount.

Cancellation Charges

• 10% for cancellations made more than 45 days preceding your Tour Start Date.
• 25% for cancellations made 45 days to 30 days preceding your Tour Start Date.
• 50% for cancellations made 30 days to 15 days preceding your Tour Start Date.
• 100% for cancellations made less than 15 days preceding your Tour Start Date.
• Also be informed that Cancellation Requests have to be made to the corresponding Email ID’s that you receive the confirmation from. We do not accept cancellations over phone.
• In case of any increase in cost of Hotel, Airfare, Transport, Govt. Taxes, and Fuel Etc.., we are bound to augment the same.

KSRTC, SWTD tie up to roll out bus-boat combo tour packages this Onam

KOCHI: A joyful bus ride, shaking legs to popular tracks, and then setting sail to explore the captivating beauty of backwaters will be a veritable treat for travel enthusiasts! This Onam, the Budget Tourism Cell (BTC) of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has tied up with the State Water Transport Department (SWTD) to roll out several tour packages, involving a bus-boat combo, on the lines of the successful Nefertiti sea cruise model.

“The BTC has tied up with us to enable visitors arriving on KSRTC special buses to board our luxury vessels for a cruise through the enchanting backwaters,” said Shaji V Nair, director, SWTD. “The tour packages include sailing on luxury vessels ‘Vega-1’ and ‘See Kuttanad’ in Alappuzha, ‘See Ashtamudi’ in Kollam, a luxury tourist vessel with upper deck in Parassinikadavu (Kannur) and the newly-launched ‘Indra’ in Ernakulam.”

The ‘Vega/See Kuttanad’ tour packages have already commenced with the BTC units of Thiruvananthapuram and Parassala already conducting the trips. Similarly, package tours are scheduled to be conducted from Malappuram (September 16), Thiruvananthapuram City Depot (September 17), Chadayamangalam (September 18) and Pappanamcode (September 22).

“We’ve received encouraging responses to the tour packages, which include the cost of the luxury boat trips and food. The initial services were all fully booked. and we are receiving a lot of queries. In the coming days, we’re planning to conduct the tour package from Kannur, Thrissur, Palakkad, Punalur and Attingal. More trips from across the state are being planned as per the demand,” said a senior BTC official.

The SWTD operates the ‘See Kuttanad’ to provide tourists with a captivating view of the greenery and backwaters of Kuttanad. The boat has an upper deck and a snack bar as well. ‘Vega’ is a modern vessel, having a special AC cabin, and is also being operated on the Alappuzha backwaters. ‘See Ashtamudi’ is a tourist boat service, being operated through the backwater in Kollam and the trip includes stops at the enchanting Sambranikkodi, Koivila and Munro Island among others. The 100-seat cruise vessel ‘Indra’ is the country’s largest solar-electric boat operated by the SWTD in Kochi.

The special packages have been designed following the success of the ‘Nefertiti’ sea cruise package for which the BTC has tied up with the Kerala State Inland Navigation Corporation, which owns the cruise ship. In the 2023-24 period alone, the BTC organised nearly 50 trips, involving 1,950 tourists, from across the state.

The 45-metre vessel, having facilities like a banquet hall, sun deck, restaurant and a 3-D theatre, daily conducts a five-hour sailing tour. The BTC budget cruise package covers the vessel charges and food. For instance, the BTC charges `3,560 for adults and `1,250 for children, for a trip from Kottayam. The travellers will be taken to Kochi by KSRTC bus and they can then enjoy the cruise. Once it is over, they return by bus.

250 tour package trips for Onam

Meanwhile, the BTC has planned nearly 250 tour package trips from various depots for the festive season. “Besides the bus-boat combo packages, the corporation is mainly conducting tours to destinations like Wayanad, Munnar, Gavi and Ponmudi,” the official added.

The corporation has deployed a fleet of 45 buses with modern facilities to conduct the trips. “The old Super Deluxe buses were refurbished for this. They have added facilities like push-back seats, charging points and air suspension for a comfortable journey,” the official pointed out.
