Me and my friends will fly to Phuket. Me and my husband have international certificate of vaccination without QR-code on Covid-19. Vaccine is comirnaty (we have two dose and booster) . On website: https://www.tatnews.org/2022/06/covid-19-vaccine-guide-for-travellers-to-thailand/ The information is that when vaccine comirnaty, the 2nd dose must be after 3 weeks, but in my and husband’s certificate is after 4 weeks (first – 19.05.2022, second – 16.06.2022 and booster is 22.01.2022). Is this a problem? Do we need to take a test? Thx You in advance.

If you recovered at covid, you need to get certificate of recovery . You still need to get a 72 hours negative RT PCR if you are unvaccinated, that is the requirements for unvaccinated traveler.

Hi. If i’m travelling with my family from malaysia to thailand and one of my child 12 yr old is not vaccine can my child enter thailand together with us ( already complete vaccine . do she need to perform atk ?

Hello Saiful,

Children under the age of 18 do not need a certificate of vaccination if they are travelling with fully vaccinated parents. If they travel with parents who are not fully vaccinated, they must present an RT-PCR / Professional ATK COVID-19 test result issued within 72 hours before departure.

' srcset=

Im fully vaccinated , do i still need to stay at a SHAplus hotel when i visit thailand?

You can enter in any hotel you want.

' srcset=

I cannot enter into Thailand within 14th days from tested positive. Correct? Thailand Embassy of Japan and Singapore informed me like that.

As long as you are fully recovered and tested negative after your quarantine period, you can able to travel in Thailand.

For those previously infected with COVID-19 are considered fully vaccinated if they have received a single dose of COVID-19 vaccine at any time after their recovery.

Please be advised that your proof or medical record of COVID-19 recovery must be shown alongside your single-dose vaccination certificate.

Hello Do i still need a test 72 hrs before departure if I have 1 of the 2 Covid vaccines and just recovered from Covid? Thank you

Hello Tash,

' srcset=

Hi, I’m from Malaysia. Yesterday on 1 August 2022 I tested positive for covid-19 by using the RTK-Nasal swab self-test kit. According to Ministry of Health of Malaysia, I only need to quarantine for 7 days since I have taken the 3 dos of the covid-19 vaccine. However, I am required to attend a regional meeting in Bangkok on 15 August 2022. Can I enter Bangkok on the 14 of August since we will be traveling to Bangkok 1 day earlier?

Sorry to hear that. Yes, you can still travel to Thailand as long as after you have quarantined you tested negative. And just provide your proof or medical record of COVID-19 recovery alongside of your vaccination certificate.

' srcset=

I am travelling to Bangkok on 10th August to visit a bank on the 11th August and departing Bangkok on 12th August for UK. I am fully vaccinated in Cambodia with 3 vaccinations. I am a British citizen. Do I require a PCR test before I enter Thailand?

Hello Robert,

Since you are fully vaccinated you don’t need a negative RT-PCR test result. Just provide your proof of vaccination upon arrival, that would be enough.

hi im planning to visit phuket and bangkok , is there a minimum days i have to spend at phuket before going to bangkok ?

Hello Bell,

There’s no minimum days you can stay on each area in Thailand, as long as your visa are still valid you are free to travel around.

' srcset=

I have one shot of a two-shot vaccine + a booster (in total 2 shots). The reason I only had one shot the first time is because I had been infected with COVID and therefore according to local regulations one shot was enough. Am I considered fully vaccinated for travel to Thailand?

Thank you for your prompt response. To clear out, I have proof that I was tested positive and then subsequently negative test. The report is in Italian (I live in Italy), but the words “positivo” and “negativo” are pretty clear. The tests were conducted by an accredited private hospital in Milan, Italy. I assume I would be able to use this?

If you can provide the English translation that would be better, but if you only have written in Italian you can still use that.

' srcset=

Hi there, I am from UK. I plan to visit Thailand in mid of August 2022 with my 12 years old son. I had 3 Covid Vaccines but my son hasn’t receive them yet. Does my son need to do Fit to Fly Pro-Antigen Covid test or he doesn’t need to do it? Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.

Hello Tidaratt,

' srcset=

Will I be able to enter Thailand with the negative result of PCR Test 72 hrs? The lab has the PCR Test. They said the PCR Test and the RT-PCR Test is the same thing.

Hello Usanee,

The RT-PCR test and PCR test are different, however, any of those are accepted as long as it was issued by a certified Clinic or Hospital, containing personal information of the travelers and information of the vaccine (name, batch number, dates).

' srcset=

I have an appointment with Medical facility in Bangkok, for yearly medical checkups at the end of August 2020. I have already took COVID 19 full vaccination (1st, 2nd and booster). My visa will stamped on arrival at the air port since my country is not in the list Thai visa except countries. So what else required from?

Hello Assefa,

The entry measures for Thai and Foreign Nationals are only proof of either a certificate of vaccination or a negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test result within 72 hours of travel. These can be in a print or digital format.

' srcset=

I am from Kuwait, I am a two-dose restaurant and I have health insurance. Do I need anything else to enter Thailand?

Hello Nael,

' srcset=

Hi, may I know what’s the procedure if foreigners get COVID during their stay in Thailand?

Anyone who tests positive, regardless of whether they have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 90 days, are required to quarantine at their own expense for 10-14 days or possibly longer depending on their situation and under the direction of public health officials.

' srcset=

Hi, do you need to be vaccinated to enter Thailand? Or is a PCR test acceptable when taken 3 days before arriving?

Hello Eliana,

Full vaccination is not mandatory to enter Thailand, however, if you provide your proof of vaccination, you won’t need to present a negative PCR test.

A negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test result must be issued within 72 hours before departure.

Let Cebu Pacific fly you to your next international destination

  • May 30, 2022
  • 6 minute read

Filipinos are raring to travel abroad again to see the sights they missed in the last couple of years. Many are also excited to reunite with family and friends.

Whatever one’s reasons may be, Cebu Pacific (CEB) is ready to fly passengers safely to their desired destinations as travel restrictions have eased in some countries for leisure travelers. Coming home is also easier now as the Philippine government has also simplified travel for both returning Filipinos and foreign tourists alike.

In April, the local airline resumed flights to Jakarta, Hanoi, bringing the number of international routes to 16 as part of its plan to ramp up flights by July. CEB also currently flies to Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Seoul (Incheon), Nagoya, Tokyo (Narita), Osaka and Guangzhou, among many other destinations. “We are happy to enable everyJuan to safely fly across our network. We are hopeful that we can continue contributing to the economic and tourism agenda in and out of the Philippines,” Xander Lao, CEB chief commercial officer, said in a recent press conference held at the WTTC Global Summit.

Effective May 30, travelers flying to the Philippines who have received the two-dose series or single-dose vaccine (Janssen), and at least 1 booster shot, are no longer required to present COVID-19 test results for entry, according to the Inter Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID). However, those without booster shots will still need to show their negative test results prior to boarding (RT-PCR test taken 48 hours before departure or antigen test taken 24 hours before departure).

“We laud the efforts of the Department of Tourism (DOT) and IATF-EID for enabling ways to further simplify travel requirements and making it easier for travelers to fly back home or visit the Philippines,” added Lao.

If you’re planning an international trip soon, here’s a quick guide to help you decide: Bustling city with wildlife: Sydney Australia is known for its unique animals, which you can see up close at the Wild Life Sydney Zoo, Sea Life Aquarium, and other wildlife parks. During the day, you can walk around the city or get a tan at Bondi Beach. At night, watch a show at the iconic Sydney Opera House.

Sydney flights from Manila are slated in July, with a thrice weekly frequency, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Travel requirements: Travelers must have a valid tourist visa. Upon check-in, passengers must present a vaccination certificate, and proof of completed Digital Passenger Declaration (DPD) submitted up to 72 hours before departure.  Travelers will undergo a Rapid Antigen test upon arriving at their hotel.

Shop ‘til you drop: Singapore

Singapore makes every shopaholic’s dream come true with its numerous shopping malls and outdoor markets – whether you are looking for local delicacies, luxury brands, or souvenirs – Singapore’s got it all for you. Visitors can explore Orchard Road, Chinatown, Little India, Bugis Street Market, and even Hajji Lane for its boutiques and vintage stores.

CEB currently flies once daily from Manila to Singapore.

Travel requirements: Fully vaccinated guests are no longer required to submit a pre-departure COVID 19 test.  They must also present their proof of full vaccination, and fill out a Singapore Arrival card three (3) days before arrival.  For more information, passengers may refer to this link .

A burst of Thai flavors: Bangkok

Apart from the busy streets and energetic nightlife, Bangkok also has a plethora of food stalls. Familiarize yourself with different Thai dishes like Raan Jay Fai’s world-famous crab omelet, a hearty bowl of beef noodles from Wattana Panich, and yummy pad thai from Thipsamai. These are perfect to cap off a long day of exploring bustling Bangkok.

CEB flies 5x weekly from Manila to Bangkok, Thailand, every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Travel requirements:  Fully vaccinated guests are no longer required to submit a pre-departure COVID 19 test.  They must present their proof of full vaccination along with their valid ID and COVID-19 insurance. These must all be uploaded online when the passenger registers for their Thailand Pass .

An RT-PCR test is required for unvaccinated / partially vaccinated passengers, along with a confirmed hotel booking with hotel transfer for their required quarantine. A tour of history: Hanoi and Saigon

If you’re looking for a cultural adventure, Vietnam is the place to be. With history spanning over 1,000 years, the country has beautiful sites like Thang Long Imperial Citadel, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Temple of Literature built in honor of the philosopher Confucius – both located in Hanoi.

You can also make your way to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) to visit intriguing tourist attractions like the Cu Chi Tunnels used by Vietnam War soldiers, Stilt House, and Mekong Delta. The city is also known for its French colonial architecture, which one can experience at the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon and Saigon Opera House.

From Manila, CEB flies to Hanoi every Friday, and to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) every Tuesday.

Travel requirements: Foreign travelers must present a valid Visa or Immigration Approval Letter (for visa-on-arrival) and their return/onward ticket.

Summer vibe all-year round: Bali

Bali is on a lot of travelers’ beach bucket list, and you can experience it too with its year-round summer vibe. There are several choices catering to various interests: Candidasa Beach is perfect for divers; Uluwatu is for surfers and those who love cliffside views; and Seminyak has a fun nightlife by the sea.

CEB flies to Bali from Manila twice a week, every Monday and Friday.  Travel requirements: Foreign travelers must have their vaccination certificate, health insurance policy of USD25,000 for COVID-19 treatment and/or hospitalization, visitor visa, E-Customs Declaration Form, and proof of hotel booking confirmation. They must also download and register at the PeduliLindungi App before flying. Live your K-drama dreams: Seoul

Seoul, Korea has become a tourist hotspot for Filipinos. The capital city has five palace complexes that you can visit and feel like royalty. Insadong has unique shops where you can get native handicrafts, try on a hanbok , and eat at local cafes in the area. You can also get the full K-drama experience by visiting spots where your favorite shows were filmed.

CEB flies to Seoul every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and will be flying daily starting June 1.

CEB also intends to operate twice weekly flights from Cebu to Seoul, every Thursday and Sunday starting July 3. Travel requirements: Effective June 1, 2022, The South Korean Embassy in Manila will resume issuance of tourist visas. Multiple entry visa holders issued before 5 April 2020 that has not expired do not need to reapply.

Passengers may present either a negative COVID-19 PCR test result 48 hours before departure or a negative Laboratory based Rapid Test result taken 24 hours before departure. They must also present their vaccination certificate.  Full vaccination refers to those who have received two (2) doses of COVID-19 vaccine two (2) weeks earlier but less than 180 days before the flight, as well as those with booster shots.

Experience the Arabian Adventure: Dubai

Dubai is the city and emirate in the United Arab Emirates that is famous for luxury shopping, ultramodern skyscraper, adventure sports, and desert safari. One of the city’s most famous landmarks is the “Museum of the Future”, a living museum that explores how society could evolve in the coming decades. There is also the Dubai Hills Mall, the newest shopping mall with 600 outlet stores, located in a chic neighborhood. Not to be missed: the desert safari activities where one can ride a camel, dune buggy, or squad bike for that memorable experience.

CEB flies once daily to Dubai from Manila.

Travel requirements: Passengers may apply for a visa before the trip. They must present recognized vaccine certificate that reflects the completion of doses of vaccine approved by the WHO and printed copy of negative RT-PCR result from DOH-accredited laboratories, with validity of no more than 48 hours before departure. It is mandatory that the negative test report includes a QR code, which is linked to the original report for verification purposes by the airlines through a mobile/cell phone and validation by the representatives of Dubai Health Authority (DHA) upon the passenger arrivals at the Dubai Airports.   *** Traveling overseas is exciting and Cebu Pacific will guarantee safe flights for everyJuan, and also foreign travelers who want to experience the beauty of the Philippines. Many of Thailand’s other major cities can be easily reached from Bangkok, which makes it the starting point for a day trip. We recommend venturing on a two-hour drive to the sun-soaked resort of Pattaya on the eastern coast of the country. Once a modest fishing village, the city has transformed into a thriving metropolis, complete with towering hotel complexes, vibrant neon lights, and numerous Western-style bars and restaurants. Nestled amongst the modern buildings are remnants of Pattaya’s past - in the form of the Sanctuary of Truth and Wat Phra Yai temple. For a day of family fun, head to Jomtien Beach and partake in a multitude of water sports or relax and soak in the sun while admiring the scenic surroundings.

Nature lovers are recommended to spend the night at the Bangkok Tree House . Located in Bang Krachao, a forested island, the hotel is accessible via ferry from Bang Na pier. Typical rooms feature a boxy wood-and-glass cabin design and are perched on stilts.

Food to eat in Bangkok

Bangkok is well known for its exotic range of culinary experiences from across the globe. Start off by savouring the mouth-watering food that can be found on Yaowarat Road, including crab omelettes and 'tom yum' (hot and sour) soup. For those seeking traditional Chinese cuisine that is both delicious and authentic, Tang Jai Yoo is a must-visit destination, especially for its famous suckling pig dish that drew the attention of celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain. To indulge in European cuisine, Seven Spoons is a local favourite for its tasty Mediterranean-inspired fare and strong cocktails served in a cosy and inviting atmosphere. Explore Bangkok’s gastronomical treasures and enjoy globally inspired cuisine that delivers uniquely authentic flavours.

Cebu Pacific Restarts Ho Chi Minh, Taipei, and daily Dubai operations in March

T eam Out of Town Blog Hub ( Outoftownblog.com ) – The Philippines’ leading airline, Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), has resumed its thrice-weekly flights to Bangkok, and weekly flights to Fukuoka and Jakarta , in time for the easing of Philippine arrival quarantine restrictions and reopening of borders for tourists this month.

The IATF has recently revised the entry and quarantine protocols for international arrivals to the Philippines, temporarily suspending its country classification restrictions (listing countries under green, yellow, and red categories). Based on these guidelines, fully vaccinated passengers from visa-free countries can visit them for business or leisure purposes and are no longer required to observe mandatory facility-based quarantine upon arrival, as long as they present a negative RT-PCR test result taken 48 hours before arrival.

“This development will benefit the tourism industry across the Philippines as we welcome vaccinated travelers from around the world to explore our beautiful shores. We laud the Department of Tourism for actively pushing for our country to start accepting foreign tourists again, and we will support this initiative however we can,” said Xander Lao, Chief Commercial Officer at Cebu Pacific.

Cebu Pacific also plans to resume its flights to other international routes from Manila next month, specifically Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) on March 1 (Tuesday); and Taipei on March 2 (Saturday).

The UAE authorities have also lifted capacity restrictions on the Dubai-Manila route, enabling CEB to resume its daily flight frequency beginning March 1 (Tuesday).

“We continue to bank on the rebound of domestic tourism this year while remaining agile in addressing the demand for international travel as well. We are encouraged that with these positive indicators, more OFWs can also fly back home easily and safely to their families,” added Lao.

Passengers are reminded to ensure their requirements are complete before the day of travel. Everyjuan is advised to input their own contact details on their bookings to ensure timely receipt of important reminders, flight changes, and the like.

CEB will provide updates on travel requirements via bit.ly/CEBTravelRequirements as soon as the airline receives them.

CEB operates with a 100% vaccinated active flying crew. Our pilots and cabin crew undergo regular antigen testing (Test Before Duty) before they are assigned to operate flights. CEB has already started its booster program to ensure the continued safety of its employees and passengers.

The airline has also been rated 7/7 stars by airlineratings.com for its COVID-19 compliance as it continues to implement a multi-layered approach to safety

in accordance with global aviation standards. This includes daily extensive cleaning and disinfection protocols for all aircraft and facilities and contactless flight procedures. Its jet fleet is equipped with hospital-grade HEPA (High-Efficiency Particular Arrestor) air filters, keeping viruses at bay.

CEB operates the widest domestic network in the Philippines, covering 31 destinations and its 15 international destinations. It has a 74-strong fleet, one of the youngest globally, which includes two (2) dedicated ATR freighters.

Cebu Pacific adds 3 aircraft in Q1

M ANILA, Philippines — Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific has received another aircraft, its third for the year, leaving the airline with 14 more to accept for the rest of 2024 as it fortifies its fleet in the face of supply issues.

Cebu Pacific is closing the first quarter with three new aircraft as it welcomed a brand new Airbus A321neo last week, raising the number of airliners it can deploy to serve travelers.

The A321neo—the first of its kind received this year—used sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in its transfer from Hamburg, Germany to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

So far, Cebu Pacific has received three of the 17 aircraft that it expects to get within the year. The airline will deploy its new units to select routes where demand is on the rise.

For 2024, Cebu Pacific hopes to expand its fleet to a total of 92 aircraft. However, it estimates that 20 of them will be grounded to make way for the repair of their jet engines.

The Gokongwei-led carrier operates one of the youngest fleets in the world, and looks to maintain the most sustainable as well in the Philippines.

For instance, the A321neo flown from Hamburg was brought to the Philippines with SAF, a kind of fuel that trims carbon emissions of up to 80 percent across its life cycle.

Further, Cebu Pacific is poised to transition to an all-neo fleet by 2028, meaning its network will be made up of Airbus jets that burn 15 percent less fuel compared to previous generations.

Broken down, Cebu Pacific manages a fleet of eight A330s, 36 A320s, 20 A321s, as well as 14 turboprops. With this fleet, the airline offers travelers with the widest network of domestic flights among Philippine carriers.

Cebu Pacific requires as many aircraft as it can get to lessen the impact of its fleet gap this year. The operator is one of the dozens of airlines hit by a recall issued by engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney, leaving it with no choice but to operate on an injured fleet.

For 2024, Cebu Pacific wants to increase its flight volume to popular routes like Bangkok, Hong Kong and Tokyo, and also seeks to resume Manila flights to Beijing before the end of the year.

Right now, the airline flies 35 domestic routes and 25 foreign destinations, reaching as far as Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
