1996 Safari Trek , This rare 1996 Safari Trek 2830 is in good/very good condition. It is 28"6" long and has the famous Electromatic queen bed which lowers from the ceiling to give you a full size bathroom and kitchen. It has the following; P30 chassis with a Chevrolet 454 gas engine with a low 46,547 miles on it. Supersteer front suspension done by Hendersons in Oregon(about $3,000). It makes this RV drive very smooth and stable. This Rare, Smart Class A has had $7000 in systems upgrade to the elec., exhaust, and fuel systems. Inc. a new remanned fuel injection pump,new injectors and relocated PMD, wch solves the high heat damage that affects most Treks.Very low miles, 43,000, the Onan generator has only 350 hrs but needs a tune up, as I never used it. Classic coach with a $1000 Dame Mural on the of Snow Leopards, an all-aluminum body with fiberglass cap, so it does not rust. All original paint and looks beautiful. New high toilet and fantastic fan just added. All tires, full size spare are in good condition as well as the encased awnings. Batteries (4) are in good shape, brand new crank battery.. It has always been garaged. Comes with major after market upgrades:Bilsteen Shocks, Super Steer System, Infiniti Brake and a full Xcaliber Tow Package for your toad.The 25 footer that camps like a 35 footer b/c it has a queen bed that hides in ceiling and lowers by updated motor on 4 zipper gears when you want to sleep. This allows for a full size bathroom in the rear with a small tub and stand up shower, 2 closets and a vanity. Kitchen with a dinette that seats 2 or 4, double Kohler sinks and faucet, a 3 way oversize fridge, 3 burner propane stove with hood, and a microwave convection oven. There is gorgeous solid wood cabinetry throughout the coach and the kitchen has plenty of storage. 2 couches in the front living area that turn into full size beds. It has a 19 inch color TV with antenna and booster, and DVD player, and a separate 32 inch LCD TV for outside viewing. The passenger seat has a pull out vanity and mirror as well as a nearby built in magazine rack. Frt seats can spin around to face lvg area. All windows op. well. Back up camera, side mirrors have auto adjustment. There is a solar panel on the roof that charges the gas and fire alarm. It has a propane water heater and furnace, two 40 gallon waste tanks and one 40 gallon fresh water tank. The propane tank is 35 gallons. There is an automatic leveling system. I removed the automatic stairs as they were not very safe and replaced with a set of sturdy wooden ones. The gas tank is 60 gal and has a range of 600-840 miles per tank. Has a propane furnace. Recent oil change, comes with many camping extras. Ready to enjoy. Trek is in beautiful condition, shows very well and drives well. 1996 Safari Trek 2430 , 30,000 or BRO. This Class A Motorhome has had a $7000 systems upgrade to the electrical, exhaust, and fuel systems. It has very low miles, 43,000 and the Onan generator has only 350 hours . This is a rare find on the east coast, especially in this great condition. 1996 Safari Trek Pathmaker Gasoline Chevy 454 V8 7.4L 103,000 miles and maintained to last another 100k+. All service records available, recently replaced front windshields. In great condition and personally have put over 10k miles on it in the last 10 months. LED hi/low beam headlight upgrade, Outdoor Bluetooth speaker/LED, 32 in Smart TV wired to Double DIN Pioneer Navigation/SiriusXM radio w/ rear backup cam/surround sound, CCRANE WiFi Repeater System, bike rack, Banks Power cold air intake (gives extra oopmh going uphill/towing), new water pump. Recently replaced the stock springs with SumoSprings which greatly improved ride quality and replaced front/rear shocks. Almost everything is in working condition (fridge needs a new circuit board that is on backorder) and was lived in full time for past 5 YRs/properly maintained (oil changed every 4k miles) throughout ownership (3rd owner). Service records/original owner's manual available. The interior is almost entirely original, could use new carpet. This With proper care, this engine/transmission will last 200k+ miles and the exterior is built like an aircraft (aluminum) not cheap flimsy particle board. First built for the 1991 model year in Harrisburg, Oregon, with the last coming off Monaco’s Coburg, Oregon line in 2008, the Trek never really strayed from its roots. Its unique features never really changed. The chassis etc., came and went, but its coach part remained much the same since its inception. It was a large luxury coach in a small package.

Of course, it the pump works, turn it on and walk around listening for the pump noise.

I have heard on a Safari Zanzibar it is on the left rear corner of the basement, passenger side, of the coach in an enclosed compartment. I would look in the same area on yours. I would look under the sink and in the bay where the city water fitting is.

Let us know where they hid it.

Wow I just registered on line as 97safaritrek and found your post.  I had my water pump replaced last year.  Your coach's water pump is as others have stated, Drivers side, rear compartment, in the Water compartment.  Unfortunately, unless your rig has been updated, it is BEHIND the panel with all of the open/closed levers.  Let me tell you it's a mess back there.  If you ever have to replace it, move it to the outside so you can access it in the future.  Also as suggested the new Trektrax website (formerly Trektracks).  We've owned our 97 for about 10 years now and have worked through some issues.  Sorry I deleted all of my photos of waterpump except this one.  It's the dark object on the left side in the back.
