We spent four nights on the Sonesta St George cruising from Luxor to Aswan. The Sonesta lived up to its billing from the moment we boarded. The cabin was comfortable with a large window and with a bathroom with a hi tech jacuzzi. The service was gracious and understated. The cuisine, all the meals, were excellent. We were also fortunate that our fellow passengers were all very chummy, especially when everyone was on the roof deck for sun downers. The tours were all well organised in small groups and we had an excellent guide in Medhat who took care of us through out our stay. A very comfortable Nile cruiser with great food and service, and well planned sightseeing.

All the service onboard was excellent! The food was exceptional and the kitchen fully catered for the coeliacs in our group. Our guide was excellent and the tour program was thought out and very enjoyable. Like other places in Egypt, we felt very safe in all the locations we visited.

04 Days / 03 Nights Program

Day 1 nile cruise , aswan , full day high dam, philae temple & unfinished obelisk.

Start your first day by meeting our professional tour representative who will be your main company for this great adventure. 

On a private A-C vehicle you will be heading to your Nile cruiser where the adventure will be behind.  

Your first visit of the day will be to the High Dam, which was constructed by the president, Gamal Abdel Nasser in order to store water from the Nile and generate electricity for the whole Egyptians. 

Then you will continue the tour through a motorboat to visit the great Temple of Philae. This charming temple was constructed during the Greco Roman times which gave it these unique features. 

To make your last visit of the day a little bit more interesting, you will be visiting the Unfinished Obelisk, this site was found in the granite quarry in the Southern part of Aswan in a shape that makes it one of its own. 

After today’s visits you will be heading back to your Ship to spend an unforgettable night and enjoy being free at leisure. [Lunch & Dinner]

Day 2 Nile Cruise. Kom Ombo Temple & Edfu Temple

Enjoy your delicious breakfast on the cruise with the amazing Nile views. 

To start today’s adventure, your Nile Cruise ship will land first at the city of Kom Ombo, this city has the famous Temple of Sobek & Haroeris. The construction of this temple started in the Ptolemaic period and finished in the Roman era. This temple was dedicated to two gods, the local crocodile, Sobek and the famous eagle god, Haroeris. 

Now it’s the time to get back to your ship to have some rest and energy for the next visit which will be to the Temple of Horus in Edfu. It’s one of the best ancient Egyptian temples in Egypt. You will definitely enjoy these valuable visits.

Day 3 Nile Cruise – Full Day West Bank

Morning time is different today as you will be free at leisure, you will also have the option to go for another tour based on your preferences. The optional tour is to go and enjoy a Hot-air Balloon trip and fly over the whole city of Luxor and see all the lands in a tiny size. 

After such an incredible trip you will get back to the ship and enjoy your delicious breakfast. You need to have some rest before starting the second adventure at the city of the dead where we will be visiting the Valley of the Kings. 

This site has fascinating ancient tombs with all the details that may interest you. It was the famous burial site for all the kings from the New Kingdom. 

Next, you will be heading to visit the Temple of Deir El Bahari, this one was constructed in the 18th dynasty by the greatest Queen Hatshepsut, you will be amazed by the details and stories of this temple. 

Your last visit of today will be to the Colossi of Memnon; this site consists of two huge statues which are the only remaining parts of the great funerary temple of Amenhotep III. It was constructed in 1350 BC and stayed still until now and became one of the main landmarks of Luxor city. 

After a long and rich tour, you will need to  get back to your beloved boat for having some relaxing and entertaining time. [Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner]

Day 4 Disembarkation . Full Day East Bank of Luxor

Start your morning with a last Egyptian breakfast before checking out the Nile Cruise. 

The adventure will continue today at the east bank of Luxor by exploring two marvelous temple complexes. The first one is the Karnak Temples Complex which was constructed more than one thousand years ago. Most of the interesting items of the  Karnak temple date back to the new kingdom. 

Then you will be heading to the second temple which is the famous Luxor Temple, Iits a startling temple established around the 14th century BC by Ramses II, Queen Hatshepsut, and many other great Pharaohs. 

Once today’s tour is finished, you will be heading back to your location in Luxor.

05 Days / 04 Nights Program

Day 1 embarkation, full day karnak temple & luxor temple.

Let’s have a fresh morning time and start the day by meeting our main tour guide who will take you in a private Air-conditioned vehicle towards your Nile Cruise ship. 

Enjoy your lunch meal at the ship and get ready to start your adventure which will begin with a visit to the amazing Temple of Karnak. This temple was constructed thousands of years ago. 

Then you will go to visit Luxor Temple, it’s construction started from the 14th century BC and continued for many years afterwards and lots of kings participated in the construction like Ramses II, and Queen Hatshepsut. 

After this amazing tour, you’ll be heading back to your Nile Cruise ship to enjoy the rest of the day and spend the night. [Lunch & Dinner]

Day 2 Nile Cruise, Full Day West Bank of Luxor

Don’t miss your breakfast in the morning with the amazing view of the Nile.

Once you’re ready, you will start today’s visits with the Valley of the Kings, It’s the richest and the most interesting site in Luxor because it holds most of the tombs for the ancient kings from the New Kingdom. 

The next visit of the day will be to the great Temple of Deir El Bahari which was constructed in the 18th dynasty by the famous Queen Hatshepsut. 

On your return way to your cruise, you will pass by the Colossi of Memnon which has the last part of the great funerary temple of king Amenhotep III. 

Now you will be transferred to your Nile Cruise ship to relax and enjoy a sleepy night. [Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner]

Day 3 Nile Cruise, Edfu Temple & Kom Ombo Temple

Get a delicious Egyptian breakfast on board before starting your full day tour. 

Your tour will begin by landing first at the city of Edfu, where you can enjoy visiting the Temple of Horus. This one was constructed in the 3rd century and it was dedicated to the god Horus.

You can enjoy your Lunch meal now at your Cruise with the charming view of the Nile. 

Then you can continue the tour by visiting the Temple of Kom Ombo where its construction started during the Ptolemaic era and finished in the Roman era.

The final part of this tour will be by getting back to your Nile cruise ship for having some rest and refreshment.

Day 4 Nile Cruise, Full Day High Dam, Philae Temple & Unfinished Obelisk

The best Breakfast meal will be served to you on the cruise to give you the energy to start today’s adventure. 

You will begin the day at the wonderful city of Aswan by exploring the High Dam, which is one of the most important structures in Aswan as it stores the water and generates the electricity for all the Egyptians and it was constructed by the former president, Gamal Abdel Nasser.  

Then you will go on a ride through a motorboat to discover the secrets of the Temple of Philae. This amazing temple was constructed during the 3rd century BC by the Greco Roman and it was dedicated to the goddess Isis. 

Your last visit for today is more interesting, as you will be visiting the Unfinished Obelisk, it’s two statues that were found in the granite quarry at the Southern part of Aswan. 

After a long day tour, you will head back to your beloved Nile cruise, where you will enjoy your lunch meal plus a great evening with Nubian shows and much more. [Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner]

Day 5 Disembarkation.

In the morning you will have to check out the Nile Cruise after enjoying the most delicious breakfast. 

At this time you will be having a chance to go for an optional tour to Abu Simbel Temples. This is considered the greatest achievement of ancient Egyptians as those two temples were buried for centuries under the sand and they were Constructed by Ramses II until they were discovered in the 19th century. 

UNESCO played a great role to rescue these temples after the building of the High Dam, they reallocated the temples to not get affected by the water. 

 Once your adventure is over, you will be heading in a private Air-conditioned vehicle to the Aswan Airport in order to take your flight back to Cairo after this marvelous tour sailing down the Nile. [Breakfast]
