Built to the plans drafted by renowned architects Herzog & de Meuron, the Allianz Arena has become one of Munich’s main landmarks since it opened back in 2005.

The stadium holds up to 75,000 people, all of whom enjoy an outstanding view of the action thanks to the steep grandstands. Its impressive design featuring almost 3,000 air pockets makes a visual impact before you’ve even arrived. The pockets light up in red and white at FC Bayern München home games and in white at Germany matches. On special occasions, such as St. Patrick's Day, they shine green.

Guided tours are available as you would expect: arena tours provide guests with an insight into the stadium’s inner workings, from the team changing rooms and player’s tunnel, through to the main grandstand.

The FC Bayern Museum is also well worth a visit: Germany’s largest museum dedicated to a sports club takes visitors on an emotional journey, starting with the club’s foundation in 1900 and ending with its latest triumphs.

Tour of the stadium of Bayern Munich - Allianz Arena

Allianz Arena

A tour of the Bayern Munich stadium

The jewel of bavarian football.

If we had to describe the tour of Bayern Munich's stadium, the Allianz Arena, in 3 words, we would choose the words: emotion, passion and sporting excellence. Located in the heart of the vibrant city of Munich, this iconic stadium is much more than a stadium, as it is a sporting temple, one that proudly displays the story and enduring energy of one of the most famous football clubs in the world. With amazing architecture, an electrifying atmosphere and a deep connection to sports, Allianz Arena stands as a clear testimony to the love of football and offers its guests a once-in-a-lifetime experience. So let's go on a tour of Bayern's stadium and team museum together, which promise to be one of the highlights of your Bavarian vacation. And if you haven't been convinced yet, maybe Daniel Peretz, the Israeli star who just signed with the team, will make you want to come.

Guided tour of the Bayern Munich football stadium

Entrance tickets to the bayern munich football team museum, bayern munich - the story of the biggest football club in germany.

And just before we dive into the stadium itself and tour it, it is impossible not to start with what fills the jar, what turns the walls of the stadium into a world hall of fame - the Bayern Munich soccer team.

FC Bayern Munich, known in German as Bayern München, is considered one of the most successful and well-known football clubs in the world, with a rich history that spans over a century. The soccer team was founded in 1900 by a group of friends from a gymnastics club in the city of Munich, and first played in the regional league of the state of Bavaria. In 1932, the club won its first national championship (under Austrian Jewish coach Ricard Cohen), but the rise of the Nazi regime and World War II in the following years interrupted the club's streak of success.

After World War II, the team struggled to return to the top and spent most of its time in the shadow of local rivals. Bayern's success story repeats in a big way in the mid-60s, when the team qualifies for the Bundesliga, the leading soccer league in Germany. With legendary players such as Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Müller and Sepp Meyer, Bayern Munich dominated German football and won three consecutive European Cups from 1974 to 1976, becoming one of Europe's elite clubs.

Even in the following decades, Bayern continued to enjoy great success, consistently winning the title of Bundesliga champion and continuing to star in the European football league. The team won the UEFA Cup in 1996 and took first place in the Champions League in 2001.

Today, FC Bayern Munich stands not only as a football club, but as a global phenomenon. The team continues to dominate the Bundesliga, having won numerous titles in the last decade, thus further strengthening its position at the top of German football.

Under the guidance of world-class managers and the performance of elite players from all over the world, Bayern manages to maintain an amazing streak of success. The team boasts a perfect combination of experienced managers and young talents, presenting a balanced and formidable team on the field.

Off the pitch the club has also expanded its brand as the team enjoys one of the largest fan bases in the world, with official fan clubs spread across the globe. Their presence on social media and other digital platforms is massive, connecting fans from different parts of the world and creating a global community of Bayern supporters, the "Bavarians".

Even today, Bayern's commitment to the development of youth players remains one of the team's leading tasks, with its academy producing talented players who continue to star in the club and other clubs in the country and the world.

In total, the club has already won 33 times in the German championship, the Bundesliga, 20 times in the German Cup, 9 times in the German Super Cup, 6 times in the Champions League and countless other victories and titles.

The Jewish Club

While the club's leading nicknames are the Bavarians (Die Bayern) and the Reds (Die Roten), some call the soccer team Bayern Munich the Jewish Club. The labeling of FC Bayern as the "Jewish club" begins already in its first years, when several of the club's presidents and key figures in the management were of Jewish origin. Two prominent figures in the club were Kurt Landauer, who served as club president for several terms starting in 1913, and Richard Dombey, a Jewish coach who had a considerable influence on the team's playing style.

Landauer, who was Jewish-German, is considered a particularly prominent figure in the team's history, as under his leadership the club won its first national championship in 1932. With the rise of the Nazi regime in Germany, Landauer was forced to resign and was later imprisoned in a concentration camp, but he survived the Holocaust and, miraculously, returned To serve as president of the club after the tragic war.

The association of Bayern Munich as the "Jewish club" has diminished significantly over the years, and today you will hardly hear anyone call it that, but it is nice to know that even in distant Bayern there was a strong Jewish influence.

Allianz Arena - the temple of German football

The home of the legendary team is none other than the Allianz Arena, one of the most iconic and magnificent football stadiums in the world. This stadium is known for its unique design and electrifying atmosphere, and since its inauguration in 2005, has served as the home of FC Bayern Munich.

The Allianz Arena stadium is one of the most futuristic and innovative stadiums in Europe, designed by the Swiss architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron, with a modern spaceship-like facade that consists of 2,784 light panels that in the evening are illuminated with a symphony of colors, creating a mesmerizing light show and turning the stadium into a beacon recognizable from miles away .

The Allianz Arena boasts 75,000 seats, making it the second largest stadium in Germany. The form of seating in it is also considered innovative and groundbreaking, guaranteeing excellent visibility from all the stands and on the other hand allowing for an intimate and intense atmosphere.

Since 2005, the Allianz Arena has been the home of FC Bayern Munich. The stadium witnessed a huge number of historical moments and victories, those that contributed to the rich fabric of the club's success. The stadium has become Bayern's fortress, a place where the sea of fans paint the stadium red and provide a supportive back to the team that is their whole world.

The Allianz Arena is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, ensuring a seamless experience for players and fans alike. The stadium has advanced lighting systems, giant screens for replays and first class facilities for players, staff and media personnel. The stadium also places a strong emphasis on the world of sustainability, with various methods and eco-friendly features designed to reduce its environmental footprint, from energy-efficient lighting through rainwater collection and the use of renewable energy sources.

The Allianz Arena stands as a testimony to modern architecture, innovative design and the passion for football. It is more than just a stadium, a symbol of the club's status as a football giant and a visit to it offers a breathtaking experience for football fans, sports fans and casual travelers.

Here are some reviews to help you before you visit the Allianz Arena.

Very good stadium tour

We went on the English language tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly. He was very approachable and happily answered many questions…There was plenty of description of the history of the club, divided into sections by decade, and loads of interesting exhibits.

Alan F, Tripadvisor

We visited the museum and took the guided tour. What a fantastic experience. The museum is enjoyable but the tour is brilliant. The stadium is breathtaking. The kids loved it. We got to sit in the dugout and visit the changing room as well as the stands and press room. Restaurant was also good. Definitely worth visiting

Katie M, Tripadvisor

Informative and engaging

An outstanding experience that offers a great tour of the training facilities, pitch, arena seating, and club museum. Even if you know little of the club or sport the tour is engaging and informative with tour guides more than capable of answering any questions. This is one of the premier football arenas in the world; if your travels take you to Munich, take the time to experience Allianz Arena!

Theatres in Moscow

Cultural life of Moscow city is various and rich! Operas, ballets, symphonic concerts... Russian composers have created some of the most beautiful classical music. Russian classical music is very popular in Moscow. It is performed in many beautiful historical venues. Do not forget to include a visit to a concert hall in your itinerary when you are planning your stay in Moscow! And do it in advance.

There are almost no restrictions on dress code in Russian theatres. Visitors may wear jeans and sports shoes, they may have a backpack with them. Only shorts are not allowed.

A typical feature of Russian theatre – visitors are bringing a lot of flowers which they present to their favorite performers after the show.

Here are some practical advices where to go and how to buy tickets.

The Bolshoi Theatre

The Bolshoi Theatre is the oldest, the most famous and popular opera and ballet theatre in Russia. The word “Bolshoi” means “big” in Russian. You can buy a ticket online in advance, 2-3 months before the date of performance on the official website . Prices for famous ballets are high: 6-8 thousand rubles for a seat in stalls. Tickets to operas are cheaper: you can get a good seat for 4-5 thousand rubles. Tickets are cheaper for daytime performances and performances on the New Stage. The New Stage is situated in the light-green building to the left of the Bolshoi's main building. The quality of operas and ballets shown on the New Stage is excellent too. However, you should pay attention that many seats of the Bolshoi’s Old and New Stages have limited visibility . If you want to see the Bolshoi’s Old Stage but all tickets are sold out, you can order a tour of the theatre. You can book such a tour on the official website.

If you want, following Russian tradition, to give flowers to the performers at the end of the show, in the Bolshoi flowers should be presented via special staff who collects these flowers in advance.

In August the Bolshoi is closed.

The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre

This theatre is noteworthy. On one hand, it offers brilliant classical opera and ballet performances. On the other hand, it is an experimental venue for modern artists. You can check the program and buy tickets online here http://stanmus.com/ . If you are opera lover, get a ticket to see superstar Hibla Gerzmava . The theatre has a very beautiful historic building and a stage with a good view from every seat. Tickets are twice cheaper than in the Bolshoi.

The Novaya Opera

“Novaya” means “New” in Russian. This opera house was founded in 1991 by a famous conductor Eugene Kolobov. Its repertoire has several directions: Russian and Western classics, original shows and divertissements, and operas of the 20th and 21st centuries. It is very popular with Muscovites for excellent quality of performances, a comfortable hall, a beautiful Art Nouveau building and a historic park Hermitage, which is situated right next to it. You can buy tickets online here http://www.novayaopera.ru/en .

Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Center

The Opera Center has become one of the best theatrical venues in Moscow. It was founded in 2002 by great diva Galina Vishnevskaya. Nowadays its artistic director is Olga Rostropovich, daughter of Galina Vishnevskaya and her husband Mstislav Rostropovich, great cellist and conductor. Not only best young opera singers perform here, but also world music stars do; chamber and symphonic concerts, theatrical productions and musical festivals take place here. You can see what is on the program here http://opera-centre.ru/theatre . Unfortunately “booking tickets online” is available in Russian only. If you need help, you can contact us at and we can book a ticket for you.

Tchaikovsky Concert Hall and The Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory

These are two major concert halls for symphonic music in Moscow. Both feature excellent acoustics, impressive interior, various repertoire and best performers. You can check the program here http://meloman.ru/calendar/ . You need just to switch to English. Booking tickets online is available only for owners of Russian, Ukrainian and Belorussian phone numbers. If you need help, you can contact us and we can book a ticket for you.

Moscow International Performing Arts Center (MIPAC)

This modern and elegant concert hall houses performances of national and foreign symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, solo instrumentalists, opera singers, ballet dancers, theatre companies, jazz bands, variety and traditional ensembles. Actually, it has three concert halls placed on three different levels and having separate entrances. The President of MIPAC is People’s Artist of the USSR Vladimir Spivakov, conductor of “Virtuosy Moskvy” orchestra. You can see pictures of the concert halls here http://www.mmdm.ru/en/content/halls . The program is impressive in its variety but is not translated into English. You can contact us at and we can find a performance for you.
