After Jules Verne’s 20.000 leagues under the sea , and The Fly , freely adapted from George Langelaan’s novel and David Cronenberg’s film, Christian Hecq and Valérie Lesort present Gulliver’s Travel , an adaptation of the famous fantasy adventure story by Jonathan Swift. The only survivor of a shipwreck, Gulliver wakes up on the shore, besieged by tiny creatures who capture him and present him to the Emperor and his wife, the Empress Cachaça. A pacific giant, Gulliver observes the agitation of these people and the versatility of the mighty ones, their taste for power and war. Christian Hecq and Valérie Lesort seize this social and political satire and turn it into a hymn to difference, to the tempo of songs and original music.  

The Lilliputians are hybrid marionettes about 50cm tall: half actor, half marionette, little bodies with big heads, burlesque and ridiculous. Only Gulliver will have his human size. Black box, object manipulation and visual inventions, in this bountiful story their universe deploys a wealth of imagination, sublimating its spicy and exhilarating irony.

You know that here at Fine Dining Lovers HQ, we love mini food creations and tiny restaurants very much. But we could go crazy also for the opposite: what about these oversized everyday objects turned into a giant dinner?

French artist Lilian Bourgeat is famous for her 'hyperrealist' sculptures much larger than in reality: she made a giant tape measure on which each millimeter equals one centimeter, plastic cups of 40 cm in height that one can drink with (a difficult task if one does not want to spill the contents), push-pins on cork panels 36 cm in diameter, boots 3 meters in height, etc.

These images are taken from 'Le dîner de Gulliver' installation (Gulliver's dinner), a two and a half times enlargement of a table and 6 chairs together with dinner service fills totally the exhibition space. Made in polyester resin, porcelain, glass and inoxidable metal 400 x 200 x 150 cm (table) and variable dimensions good examination on distorted your visual perception and the ways we become familiar with space and porportion.

Meet Gulliver Expeditions

Gulliver values the preservation of our beautiful environment. For the organization of all tours, we work closely with local and indigenous communities. What’s more, we support important projects such as ecological markets, gardening, and fruit growing.  Additionally, since 2013, Gulliver is committed to supporting children in difficult conditions.  As a result, Lucy in the Andes was created to educate young women in rural communities.

Eran Hayoun

Owner and manager of the Gulliver Expeditions Company is Eran Hayoun. Eran immigrated to Ecuador from Israel in 2001 at the age of 26 with the goal of starting a self-sufficient, organic farm in the western highlands. He discovered the “Hacienda Bolivia” after six months of looking, and he immediately got to work building a Hosteria (farmhouse). Eran opened “Hosteria PapaGayo” on March 27th, 2002, for those who wish to take in the beauty and charm of this place. Eran founded Gulliver Expeditions three years later to expand services and provide trips all around the country.

Jeremy Le Cam

Jeremy, a French employee of Gulliver’s Quito office, is the Operations and Sales Supervisor. In 2008, he visited Ecuador and fell in love with it. He has visited several locations and is well-versed in the nation. He worked as a guide for the tourism sector while studying tourism in France. He joined Gulliver in 2010 and has since been imparting his wisdom. Over the years he became an expert for Ecuador, Peru, The Galapagos islands and Bolivia. French is Jeremy’s mother tongue, and he also speaks English and Spanish very well.

Tania Albuja

Tania has worked for more than 26 years and trained to become a national tourism guide, but she decided against applying because she preferred working in the office in the operations department. She has expertise in many areas, including sales, operations, and logistics. She has gained knowledge of the habits and traditions of customers who have travelled to the nation during the course of her profession.

Jahaira Viracocha

At the University of Tourism Specialties, Jahaira pursued a National Tourism Guide Degree. She has a strong sense of adventure and trekking, loves her nation, and adores discovering new locations. She works in the operations division and is responsible for organising each passenger’s logistics to ensure that their trip is one to remember.

Angie De La Bastida

Angie is a captivating blend of Polish and Ecuadorian heritage. With a native command of Polish, but her linguistic prowess extends to both English and Spanish. She’s an intrepid explorer, deeply passionate about the wonders of nature. Her heart belongs to the world, and she’s a true connoisseur of breathtaking destinations. Within our team, Angie takes on the pivotal role in our operations department, overseeing the intricate web of logistical coordination with unwavering dedication to excellence. Her mission is to make each client’s vacation not just a reality but the most enchanting dream of their lives.

Carmen María Minga

Carmen, an Amazonian native, relocated to Quito to further her education and earned a degree in hotel business management. She is our sales specialist and is really passionate about both travel and the environment. She will assist you in planning your custom vacation to the greatest locations in Ecuador, the Galapagos, Peru, and Bolivia.

Ely Rosales

Elízabeth earned a degree in engineering management tourism marketing companies from the University of Quito. She has worked in the tourist industry since 2005 and is well familiar with every region in Ecuador. She specialises in custom vacations. Elízabeth oversees Gulliver’s tour operators, lodgings, travel arrangements, and service bookings for both mainland and Galapagos itineraries.

Jessenia Morales

Jessenia is an expert in financial procedures, tax compliance, as well as matters relating to payroll and employee benefits. She graduated from Universidad Central del Ecuador with a degree in Accounting and Auditing Engineering. Throughout her time in college, she worked in outsourcing accounting until joining the group in 2014. She is a crucial member of our business since she works in the accounting division and serves as the primary point of contact for our suppliers. She likes spending her leisure time with her family and seeing different regions of Ecuador.

Gulliver’s Park is located in the old Turia riverbed. This gigantic attraction for children represents the protagonist of the story Gulliver’s Travels on his arrival in Lilliput, a famous work by Jonathan Swift.

It is the place par excellence in Valencia for the enjoyment of the little ones. The giant Gulliver is lying on the ground and immobilized with ropes as in the work, children have fun thinking they are Lilliputians throwing themselves down the multitude of slides and ramps available at the attraction.

It is a place to spend a fun time outdoors in one of the greenest and most recreational areas of the city of Valencia.

Gulliver’s Park is the ideal choice if you are looking for something to do in Valencia with children, it certainly has a special attraction for the youngest members of the family and admission is free.

Returned from weekend in Dublin for six…

Returned from weekend in Dublin for six nations Ireland Wales match with Gullivers. Fantastic, apart from the score. Weather was bad withstood Clara BUT Gullivers staff, particularly Emma, Kelly and Jordan were amazing. Cardiff flight diverted to Manchester and coached from there back to Cardiff. All Gullivers staff were great in arranging coaches with Jet2 airline staff, who were also amazing. Well done and thank you all for all you efforts.

Booked a rugby International game for a…

Booked a rugby International game for a group of family and friends. The process was really easy, plus the good communication, can'tfault it. The accomodation was brilliant and central, ticket allocation was super as well. Only down side was no one asked how we where going to get to the event location to recommend any travel options. So if you fly in to Cardiff Airport I would recommend a taxi £40 in and £50 back. Or hirer a car for the weekend depending on how many there is of you (there was 4 of us).

You should have a rep at Gatwick ti avoid a repeat of the chaos at check in.you should also allocate better seats on the plane so that food and drink doesn’t run out by the time your clients are served. Remember your clients are a discerning group who have paid a lot of money for a good service

I thought we might meet a Gulliver rep…

I thought we might meet a Gulliver rep at the event but didn't. Anyway hotel was good except one of their sponsors (tiqet) scammed me out of 300 Euro for a tour to Naples. They fudged the departure time so I'd miss the bus and then go silent. The bus driving back and forth was a bit scary but we always made it! The Ryder Cup itself was great entertainment.

From start to finish my husbands trip was amazing and everything went really well. Our seats in the stadium were great and the transfers ran smoothly too. We would definitely recommend using Gullivers for our next trip. France 2023

Game DayWe had fabulous seats for the game

We had fabulous seats for the game. We were met at the hotel by very friendly ,helpful and knowledgeable members of the “Gullivers” team. Downside was that the Radisson was not available this time which is a fabulous location in Cardiff, the alternative hotel was very nice but a bit of a walk from the car park.

PSG home game

PSG home game Hotel was poor assistant manager was not helpful, breakfast small choice, had to change rooms, Tickets for game up in the gods, overpriced, not seated in the same row. Bad experience overall not value for money, nobody checked up on us until now 5 months on.

Great trip apart from the hotel.... and the delay!

Lots of help from your reps who're are really friendly. Started poorly though because of long delays in baggage reclaim. Despite the advertising placards boasting that Rome was a 'five star airport'. So we missed a Colosseum visit we'd booked, even though it was with a late time slot in case of delays. Then the hotel Palazzo Montemartini - also 5 Star - was poor. We did relay that to our rep. So a four star review rather than five star!

Dutch GP 2022

We have just returned from an amazing weekend at the Dutch Grand Prix. The Hyatt Regency hotel in Amsterdam was lovely and felt more like a smart boutique hotel rather than a large chain hotel. The Gulliver's representatives (Adrian and Debbie) were professional, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. We felt for them having to deal with a change in itinerary due to extra long queues at Schipol Airport which was entirely out of their control. But, they managed to get us all to the airport in plenty of time with the minimum of fuss.....no mean feat! We will definitely recommend Gullivers to others and use them again ourselves.

Cricket tour to the Caribean . Nov 2016

The admin was not great. Tour itself was disapointing. Accommodation in Barbedos was substandard. Only one match of the two was played. The local organiser was not aware that the ground was double booked until we informed him after prematch visit. The hastily arranged 2nd ground was water logged and unplayable. St Lucia accommodation was good. The local organiser was at hand all the time. Despite his efforts the match had to be cancelled. Poor ground preparation. We felt robbed that despite paying for three games only one was delivered.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable break…

It was a thoroughly enjoyable break that we both enjoyed and nice to see Wales win . I enjoyed Rome so much I intend to return the next time Italy play wales.Your organisation was faultless and the hotel comfortable and close to the underground for site seeing.

Murray our tour guide was brilliant

Murray our tour guide was brilliant, he was always there to answer any questions, he loved his county, New Zealand and it showed. AS always Gullivers stepped up when sorting out the lost luggage. Any trip away I always use them. This was my 7th cricket tour with them.

Very Poor Experience

Booked with Gullivers to attend 3 days at the Belgian Grand Prix. The Friday we had to leave the Hotel before breakfast was served as we had to make our own way to the Coach pick up point, we spent over six hours on the Coach in total, the Coach didn't have a working toilet, no food or drink, we had a maniac Coach driver who nearly caused two accidents with his speeding. After the Friday experience we decided to make our own way to and from the Grand Prix which was a much better experience. Gullivers had arranged a "meet and greet" for 7pm on the Friday evening, nobody got back to attend this as it was gone midnight before we got back to the hotel. Never booking another trip with Gullivers ever again!

With regards to your concerns, we appreciate your comments about breakfast and apologise. We try to work with hotels to offer alternatives when possible. We contacted the coach company immediately about their driver, and he was taken off transfers the next day, which you were notified about. We also have spoken to the coach company about the lack of toilet facilities and can only apologise for this. We have been in contact with you to discuss your complaints already, thank you for agreeing a resolution with us privately. Again, we apologise for the experience you received, and your comments have been taken on board.

Regular Customer not looked after

We have been regular bookers with Gullivers for both Rugby and Cricket over a number of years. On the last Rugby trip to Wales we were given the smallest room I have ever experienced. It was the smallest double room in the hotel. We raised the issue with the on-site Gullivers reps who couldn’t do much as the hotel was full but they did leave some chocolates in the room. The point being as a regular returning customer we would have expected a better room. To make matters far worse we were then asked to fill in a post trip survey which we relayed our disappointment etc, and agreed to be contacted as part of the survey. Nobody ever contacted us! We have a trip to the Rugby World Cup final coming up and we are using that as a test to decide whether to ever book again

Seamless booking for the trip to Milan…

Seamless booking for the trip to Milan for a lads and dad trip. Hotel superb, easy access to airport and metro, football match tickets with excellent seating arrangement. Customer service staff at Gullivers very knowledgable, patient with our many questions and very professional. Would 100% book through this company again and highly recommend them to arrange your football trip away.

Just bought tickets for Wimbledon

Gullivers don't add value.

I could not see how Gullivers added any value to the trip. Indeed, at the moment the reps help was really needed with regard to transport issues he was unable to help, and we had to deal with the issue ourselves.
