See it all and see it like a local. You will enjoy the ocean, jungle, beach, waterfalls , and swimming holes in this full day of adventure. The theme of this tour is “Off the Beaten Path”. You will not experience another tour like this in Costa Rica .

We pick you up at your hotel or villa around 9:45 am and head South to some of our favorite waterfalls in the country. We will visit multiple waterfalls, each waterfall has a swimming hole, places to explore, and areas to jump from and 1 waterfall even has a 20ft natural water slide.

We will also visit our favorite beach in the area which is outlined in caves and palm trees.

Beautiful locations, totally worth it!

I booked this tour as a solo female traveler and have to say that I felt extremely safe with the guides, & everyone I met was very nice! From the start communication was great & during the time we drove from location to location they provided knowledge about the area/history of Costa Rica. Each waterfall was better than the next, the amount of time we spent in each was also perfect. There were some fun activities to do like jump off the cliff & even a natural slide! Before the beach, the restaurant we had lunch was delicious and the food was super fresh. Finally, Playa Ventanas was the best beach I’ve been to by far. It was so vast & I loved the black sand contrasting with the lush greens & cloud forest. Would definitely book another tour when I am back!

This tour is an entire day waterfall experience. Expect to spend a lot of time in the van, but our guides made it fun by offering history of the towns we drove through – plus the drive is pretty. The lunch is absolutely incredible and Corry, Alejandro, and Reece were amazing guides that kept us safe while having a lot of fun! Note that this is not the experience for you if you do not want to be jumping off 10-30ft waterfalls all day.

FANTASTIC TOUR!!!!!!

Ismael and Elliott were sooooooooooooooo great!!!!! They were knowledgeable, professional, and fun!!! The day was great and one of our favorite activities during the trip filled with exciting surprises.

I really wanted to eat a full fried red snapper, and they helped me order it and I paid the difference. It was sooooooooooo good and t he view from the restaurant was breathtaking. Loved the experience

Excellent Tour!

This was truly on of the very best tours ever. Mako, Elliot, Corey & Gummi made this excursion fun, exciting, educational and safe. Could not have asked for better guides!! I highly recommend this Paddle 9 tour to anyone looking for a fun exciting day in Costa Rica.

BEST DAY EVER!

This day will need a repeat performance; it was that amazing! After our guides picked us up, we went to three waterfalls and jumped or slid down all three; several times! Then we went to an amazing lunch and then went to black sand beach. Everywhere was beautiful. Rick and I took over 100 pictures each. The guys were super attentive and so helpful and made us feel so safe. I’m 63 and Rick is 70. We did everything on that trip! Because of the wonderful guides. Because of the attention that they paid. Because of their assistance and their support. Next time I’m in Costa Rica, we will definitely be reaching out to them again! This adventure was so worth the cost and time. So far in my short life, I’ve been to 18 countries and have done lots of things, but this is by far number 1!!!

The tour is really good, the places are extraordinary and the guides helpful and good storytellers. Just a fun experience!

The tour does not involve much hiking, but rather you are taken to three incredible waterfalls and a beach in which you can experience by jumping in!

The best tou we had in Costa Rica!

Title says it all: it really was the best for me and my mom. The tour guides were amazing, very cautious, and they also had a lot of fun since we couldn’t do the higher jumps ouserlves! Watching them jump was awesome! Muchas gracias Ken, Elliot and Carlos!

Yes, yes, yes!

Loved this tour! Got to see plenty of amazing swimming holes with a little bit of an optional adrenaline rush to jump from the top of the waterfalls. Lunch was delicious and recommended the bone in tilapia! Ended the tour at a gorgeous and luscious beach with a cool cave you can walk through. It was cool seeing different parts of Costa Rica and learning the history on the car ride between falls. I didn’t hate a single minute of this tour and would highly recommend to anyone visiting.

Side note: the “hike” is literally a short walk to each of the falls not anything strenuous to break a sweat over.

Such an amazing time

The beauty of the waterfalls and the beach were only beat by the fun and encouraging guides/team. They started off the tour with fun facts about Quepos and Costa Rica even before we reached the first waterfall. They were so friendly and seemed to just want to make sure that everyone had an amazing time, whatever their comfort level was.

3 Falls and beach tour

The tour guides were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They provided an in depth history of the development of Costa Rica. They were extremely attentive in assuring our safety and comfort throughout the entire tour. They even provided a show demonstrating their jumping skills. Can’t say enough about this great crew and company!!

Awesome Tour

Both Cory and Ismael were excellent guides. The 3 waterfalls we saw were awesome. My 2 sons enjoyed their jumps tremendously. Highly recommended tour!!!

The best tour ever

The guides were so attentive and helped the older people in our group who could not manage the rocky slope get there. You were able to enjoy the whole tour even if you are elderly or a bit handicapped because of the guides on this tour. I would recommend it for anyone!

Amazing Time

Andres, Corry, and Coco from paddle 9 made our tour amazing! Not only was it thrilling but also Andres was filled with fun facts about Costa Rica and the area we toured. Lunch was AMAZING! Couldn’t have asked for a better day!

The Guides Make This Tour Awesome

If you want a nice relaxing day, viewing great waterfalls from cool waters and enjoying your friendly fellow travelers, there is everything to love in this tour. AND if you are after a rush, try the 8 foot, 15 foot and 35 foot jumps from the cliffs into the pools below, as well as the slide down a waterfall!. But the best is the staff of guides. The very best of people.

Experience of a lifetime!!!

My husband and I had the most amazing time with Ismael, Álvaro, Alejandro and Coco! Ismael and Álvaro (our guides) were friendly, welcoming, hilarious, and best of all, safety-conscious. The had us laughing the whole day, and we honestly wished they could have been our guides for our whole vacation! Ismael is like an encyclopedia of knowledge of all things Costa Rica, and it was such an awesome bonus to learn about the plants, animals, foods, and natural wonders of Costa Rica! They definitely encouraged us to challenge ourselves, but never pushed us to do anything we weren’t comfortable with (they did demonstrate some INCREDIBLE jumps, though!). This was truly one of the best experiences of our lives, and we have Ismael and Álvaro to thank for it!!!!!

Oh what fun we had!

We had a really fun day doing this tour. The guides are amazing – friendly, knowledgeable, outgoing – they make you feel like family by the end of the day. The water was cool and refreshing and it was exhilarating to do the jumps and natural slide. Lunch and the amazing view at that location were also a highlight. And capping it off was a sing along dance party for the ride home. Truly great memories made!

Don't Pass This Up (and we live here)!

Our group of four had such an incredible day. We were extremely lucky to be the only people on the tour. Our three guides from Paddle 9 (Álvaro, Ismael, and Tommy) were phenomenal. We hit it off immediately with these professionals and laughed all day, while experiencing some of the most beautiful hidden gems in southern Costa Rica. You will be challenged, but never forced to do anything you don’t feel comfortable doing. Safety is their top priority. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! And ladies, wear a one-piece if possible. If not, expect some additional adventures.

Amazing Costa Rican Adventure

We had such an amazing time on this tour! I thought the trip was going to be inside Manuel Antonio Park hiking, swimming, and seeing waterfalls. It was SO MUCH MORE! Amazing, fun tour guides take you all over the Southwestern coast seeing hidden gems. You see three waterfalls and have such an adventure at each one. You also see a beautiful beach with gorgeous caves and enjoy amazing fruit. The best part is you sit back and relax and enjoy the adventure. The tour guides educate on each location while you drive to each location and you learn a lot about Costa Rica. Each location gets you ready for the next. You can swim, jump off waterfalls, and have an adventure like nothing you’ve never experienced. You eat lunch at a tilapia farm. Get the whole fish, you will not regret it. So delicious and such a beautiful view. All you need is a swimsuit, adventurous attitude, and water shoes. Absolutely beautiful scenery. You will have the experience of a lifetime!! Many thanks to awesome tour guides who make it so much fun. Shout out to Alvaro, Benny Ben, Claus, Felix, Jose, Corry! Amazing guys who show you a great Costa Rica time. Don’t miss out!

Nauyaca is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Costa Rica and should be a stop on anyone’s list when visiting Costa Rica’s central pacific coast. Our Nauyaca tour includes a nice hike to the top tier of this epic 150 ft waterfall which will then be rewarded with a refreshing swim in the pool beneath the lower falls . We’ll also hop on a tractor ride up to our lunch spot to recharge after enjoying the falls.

Trip Overview

Our tour begins with an hour ride to Nauyaca, once there we will take a tractor down to the waterfall, all while learning about the area’s flora and fauna on the way.

On our hike you will be rewarded with swimming, jumping, and the stunning vistas of the Nauyaca Waterfall. This waterfall consists of 2 tiers, the bottom fall is ideal for swimming and jumping. The bottom tier is about 75 ft. The upper waterfall stands about 150 ft tall. Both have swimming holes and areas to explore.

Before heading back to town, we will hop on a tractor ride to the restaurant where we’ll enjoy a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch.

Please advise us of any health conditions, recent injuries (especially back, neck or shoulder surgeries) or medical procedures that could affect your tour experience. Let us know about pregnancy, back pains, and any walking as well as dietary restrictions or preferences.

We have two rules at Paddle 9: 1) Be safe! and 2) Have serious fun! Paddle 9 prides itself in running safe tours and transport with the best logistics and safety procedures in the industry. Our guides and staff are well-trained in emergency situations and take your safety very seriously. Should an accident occur, we are covered by a comprehensive umbrella liability insurance policy.
